Believers, the become believers during the tribulation period who do not receive this mark.

will be executed if they can be found and hunted down and killed. And so he’ll make war with the saints and overcome them and power was given unto him over all kindreds and tongues and nations. So the Antichrist will have a great deal of power on the planet earth, all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life. So the lost, whose names won’t be found des the book of life at the great white throne judgment.

And by the way, the book of life is where their name will not be found, but the lamb is slain from the foundation of the earth. And so Christ, the fact that he was slain was planned before the earth began. Fenniman had an ear, let him hear. Verse 10 says, he that leads into captivity shall go into captivity. He that killed with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

In other words, the believers in the tribulation period will have endurance or patience based upon the fact that they know that the Antichrist is going to be defeated and those that are under him will be defeated, that they are on the winning side. And so they are, they have a lot of stick of them in patience during the Tribulation period because they read the Scriptures and know that ultimately this one who kills with the sword, the Antichrist will himself be taken out by Jesus at the second coming and they’re on the winning side.

Verse 11, there’s a second man that comes up. It says, I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb and he spake like a dragon. This is the third member of Satan’s Trinity. The dragon is Satan, the anti-type of God. The beast is the anti-Christ, the anti-type of Christ. This man is the false prophet and he’s the anti-type of the Holy Spirit. As we go further along in the book of Revelation, now we’re going to come across a number of verses where we have all three members of Satan’s Trinity mentioned in one verse.

And it is a counterfeit of the Trinity of God. Verse 12, notice the fact that the false prophet has equal power with the Antichrist. Doesn’t the Holy Spirit have equal power with Christ and with God the Father? Absolutely. He exercises all the power of the first beast before him and causes the earth and them which dwell on them to worship the first beast. What is the ministry of the Holy Spirit? The ministry of the Holy Spirit not to talk of himself, but to draw people to Christ and cause people to worship Christ.

What is the ministry of the false prophet? The same as the Holy Spirit is a relationship to Christ. The false prophet is to attract people to worship and praise and adore the antichrist. And so this false prophet has a similar ministry and is indeed the false type of the Holy Spirit. And notice in says verse 13 he has great powers. He do with great wonders. A word wonders means miracles so that he may get fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

Powerful, powerful being. Isn’t the first time that’s happened? You read in Job chapter 1 when God allowed Satan to take away all that Job had. One of those men came to give a report and said, I saw the fire of God fall down from heaven and burn up all the sheep and all the animals and so on. Of course, that man made an incorrect conclusion as we oftentimes do ourselves. He saw fire coming down from above. He thought it came from God.

We know that fire came down from Satan, didn’t it? Satan was given permission to destroy all the possessions of Job, and that fire rained down from Satan, and the man who witnessed it said that came from God, but he was wrong. So the Bible contains statements that are wrong. We have to be smarter and figure out in the context what’s going on. We know Satan brought that fire down. Again, in the tribulation period, the false prophet will be fired down from Satan here on the earth.

And it says he did with great wonder, so they make a fire come down from heaven on the earth and the side of men. Verse 14, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by means of those miracles which you had power to do. As we approach the return of Christ, it’s a time of false miracles. Watch out for any people that are claiming Because they are suspect of being false. Jesus said in Matthew 24, 24, when asked what would be the sign of His coming?

Matthew 24, 24, you said they’re sure why it’s false creatures and false Christ. And they shall show great miracles and wonders in so much if it were possible they would deceive the very believers, the very elect. And He says, I’m warning you in advance. Verse 25 says, behold, I have told you beforehand. 2000 years 2000 years warning in advance. Watch out for the end times because the miracles done in the end times would be done by false preachers. I’m terribly suspect of anybody who claims to do miracles today.

We mentioned it before, but Elijah right over here, he told his mother, don’t go visit Benny Henn. Just four weeks ago, she said, I’m going to go anyway. She went against his will. She was slain in the spirit, fell down and broke her arm right here. She’s home, convalescing, has very little use of her hand, and that’s a terrible place to break your arm. But she had a terrible break. She started screaming, they told her to shut up, they put on a stretcher, didn’t carry her to the stage, they carried her out of the building.

You don’t get to hear about all the people that get hurt at those healing meetings. If I was there, I would have grabbed that stretcher and run it up to the stage and said, look, you broke her, you healed her. And of course it wouldn’t have happened. There’s a lot of false things that are going on today, and you have to wake up and realize it is false. and there are false miracles being done, but there will be genuine miracles done by Satan as it says here, they’ll deceive those that dwell on the earth by means of the miracles, which he had the power to do in the sight of the antichrist, saying to them that dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword and did live.

So an image will be prepared, apparently the false prophet will enlist scientists and so on, and I believe maybe an image, A life like image of the Antichrist will be made that will be like a robot controlled by computers that will be placed in the temple and the TV cameras will be trained on it and people around the clock 24 hours a day will hear this man and I believe for whatever country it’s being beamed to the language will change so that he’s speaking in their language and people around the world will hear the Antichrist and he’ll look like he’s omniscient, all knowing he never needs sleep because you always seem active and alive 24 hours a day and it will give the illusion of that.

This is the image that will be placed in the temple in Jerusalem that will be rebuilt. Of course the technology is here for that, isn’t it? It could be either a hologram, a three-dimensional image projected of him that’s moving in talks or it could be actual, you know, the hall of the president is that technology is over 30 years old, but you’ve been there and you watch the president stand up and they’re animated and talk a little bit. I sell to make a phone call anymore where I’m not talking to a computer.

How about you? If you actually get to talk to a live person, isn’t that wonderful? You’re responding to computers and answering your questions and you go through this little path that they lead you on and sometimes you never get where you really want to go, but the computer can do everything for you now. While we’re living in that kind of an age, it says, notice in verse 15, you have the power to give life into the image. The image will be lifelike, although I don’t believe it’s going to be flesh and blood, that it will be lifelike.

the image will be able to both speak and cause as many that worship not the image of the beast should be killed. I believe that apparently the image will read off a list of those that are not willing to worship the Antichrist and read off their names that they are to be found and to be executed. And so it will be a scary thing. When you watch him he will off those that are to be eliminated. He causes all, verse 16, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads.

What about this mark verse 17 that no man might buy or sell, say they had the mark, or the name of the beast or the number of his name? Thank you for joining us. Now, please join us for a segment featuring Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers. have forced in Tampa on the line. Welcome to the program. Thank you. Good morning, Pastor. Good morning. In Revelation chapter 20, it refers to the millennium and it refers to the saints that do not accept Satan’s 666 on their foreheads or their hands. And so they become beheaded. And but later on in that chapter, they are resurrected and will share in the Millennium with Jesus Christ.

Does this indicate that they will be bodily resurrected and will they live in a human type body for a thousand years with Jesus Christ? Alright, good question for us. The answer is yes, they will be resurrected and given a a new body as all of us who are saved will get, it will be like Christ’s body, it will be a body that will be in the prime of life, Christ died when he was 33, so I believe we’ll in appearance be about 33 years of age.

For those that are older, that’s nice to hear, isn’t it? The body won’t have any problems as far as pain or disease or death and so on. I believe that during the thousand years that although we come back in rural and rain with Christ that will probably be invisible to the actual subjects of the Millennium, because the actual subjects are going to be the people who are still living who survived the tribulation period who are believers, and they will populate the earth during that time.

They’ll marry and have children and so on, and their children will need to come to know Christ as Savior. I think as even those people will they have a life expectancy say of 70 years? No, their life expectancy will greatly increase. It will be apparently again as it was prior to the flood and they live very long lives. Maybe somebody will actually beat the record by Methuselah. He lived 969 years, that’s unbelievable, but he did and somebody could possibly break that record.

It says in the book of Isaiah, if a person dies during the millennium and they are a hundred years of age, they will say about that person why he was just a child. He was just getting started. So obviously they’re going to live long healthy lives during that time. The earth will be at peace. The earth will blossom as a bud. The curse will be removed from the earth. that people will live long healthy lives and Christ will be here visibly ruling the earth from Jerusalem.

It’ll be the world’s capital. So it’s gonna be a marvelous time. I can’t wait to enjoy all these things that are ahead in our future which the Bible tells us we’re going to be a part of all that. Are they resurrected? Will they have children? No. No once we get in our resurrected bodies it says in Matthew 22.30 that we do not marry nor are we given in marriage, but are as the angels of God. We’re not going to be angels, but we are like them in that they don’t get married either and there’s only male angels so they don’t reproduce.

And so we will not have children. Well, I thank you very much for clearing that up for me. Alright, Forrest, well thank you for your call. Christ said you must be born again. I love that term, but you know, I don’t use it with a loss unless I take time to define it because it’s confusing to them. In the secular world, it certainly has gotten misused because I’ve seen it used in sports where a ball player has a slump and all of a sudden he comes out of the slump and he says he’s been born again.

I’ve seen it used in the secular world where a businessman is having trouble or there’s a slump in the stock market and all of a sudden it comes back online and they’ve been born again. It’s not talking about that at all. The new birth is not talking about reformation. It’s not talking about a change in your life. It’s not talking about a new beginning for you in the sense that you do something different that you were doing before. It’s talking about a brand new birth.

And that birth is a spiritual birth, and that a birth occurs at the moment you believe in the Bible says that when you believe or trust Christ as your Savior that you become born again. What does that mean? For the first time, God becomes your Father. For the first time you become His child, His son or daughter. It means for the first time you are now in the family of God. We’re not God’s children, until we trust Christ. We’re God’s creation, but not His children.

We need to trust Christ to be born again to enter the family of God, and then we have a home in heaven waiting for us, and we’ll live with our Heavenly Father forever and ever and ever. We’re going to go now to Paul in St. Petersburg. Welcome to Bible End. Good morning. Good morning. I just had a question for you. I was just listening and I agree with you on that. I mean, doctrinally, biblically, I believe in eternal security and I appreciate what you’re saying the verses you’re quoting.

For years I’ve always believed that but in the last couple of years I’ve gotten out of fellowship with the Lord. I used to read my Bible, I used to read 20 chapters a day, I used to pass out tracts, I used to love going to church and happened but just gradually I just kind of got, you call it backsliding, I mean ask the popular term for it. I guess my question is, you’re quoting a verse over in 1 John, so It’s been one of my favorites too, but what is kind of a tough question to answer, I guess?

But what happens? What would you think of a fellow like me that believed really strongly? I used to look for the Lord to come back. He was like, I built my life around it. I mean, I just, I was telling people about the Lord coming back, and I’m just so looking forward to him coming back, and I just look around me today. I mean, I know the Bible says that, you know, in the end times, perilous times, you’re going to come and, you know, you know go see the west and i appreciate all that indoctrinated i mean i think i still believe it but it’s like the world is gone so disgusting to me now that it is i can’t in a way i have trouble believing that the lord is is permitting this to go on a meeting talking about cloning and the peace

and it just seems like the world is gotten beyond sodoming the more any past judgment on them and i guess i’m beating around the bush my question is a fellow like me what would you say about a fellow like me that that i mean i i would say back in ninety one i trusted lord is my savior and his blood atonement nothing else about ties just as a symbol and i did work you know i go for james you know what talks about safe without works being dead and i understand the doctoral implication of that too and that’s just the patient before men but what about somebody they used to believe real strongly and then they get to a point we call it that sliding or whatever and just i’m not saying i don’t believe there is some doubt that’s starting to creep into my mind and they will happen

hypothetically as a present well you could be a quote in the first you know if you may know what happens if you get to a point where you can get you don’t know anymore i mean does that mean i’m lost i mean i i don’t know your lost but peter describes you exactly to the t he says after we get saved that were to add a number of things on a regular basis to our Christian life to make us healthy in fruit bearing.

He says we’re to add virtue into virtue, knowledge, and to knowledge, temperance, or self-control, and to temperance, patience, or endurance, and to patience, godliness, and to godliness, brotherly kindness, and brotherly kindness, as a gape love. If these things be in you and abound, they shall make you that you shall need to be barren, nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now here you are described in verse nine. He’s a lack of these things is blind, cannot see a far off and have forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

So you can just allow yourself to go into darkness. You become barren and unfruitful destroing anything for God at this time if you’re living that way. You become blind spiritually and you can’t see very far and you forget that you’re He said, you know, you get away from it. So the Bible is saying what you need to do is go back and start adding these things to your life on a regular basis. Again, you need to get back into Bible back with fellow Christians that are going to be mentors and lift you up and you need to pray and you need to start sharing the gospel with others again and you’ll come back online.

Let’s see, that’s the frustrating thing because I know you’re right and it’s like, you know, I want to. I mean, I tell myself every morning I get up. I mean, my prayer life isn’t great, but I pray and I’m like, Lord, I want, I’m with today’s day, you know, and I’m going to put some time, you know, into reading the Bible and you know, it just, I’m lazy about it. You know, I’m not, I’m not committed to it. It’s like, I hate to admit it, but it’s like in the back of my mind, I feel like, I’m just being honest with you.

I feel like, you know, I know the basic doctrine of the Bible, you know, I don’t need to read, I know that isn’t right, but I wrestle with that. And some days I’ll read it, some days I won’t, but it’s just, I guess the thing that’s frustrating is I don’t know how I got in this condition, because I mean, like I said, I used to read 20 chapters a day. I mean, I used to love to read the Bible.

And it’s like… It’s a slow drift, and you just allow yourself to get away from it, and you fill your mind with other things, and you have to go back to the beginning. I liken it to when I was small and living at home, and I would get a flu or a virus. You didn’t feel like eating and you were throwing up and everything else. But after a while, my mom would say, look, you’ve got to get some onions.

I don’t feel like anything. I’ll feel like I’ll throw up. And she said, you got to at least have fluid in you. She would get soup and make me. And once you got started again, all of a sudden, your appetite returned. But there’s a time right after you’ve been sick where you just don’t feel like eating. And yet you’ve got to take in fluid and you’ve got to take in some nourishment finally. And eventually you’ll die. I think all mothers do that with their children.

They know that you have to have nursemen, you have to have food. And so once you get it started again, your appetite begins to build and then you want more. So you have to get back into it, force yourself. I know when I was coming off of a flu, I had to force myself to eat. I didn’t feel like it. And you’re just going to force feed yourself and get going again and that’ll bring your appetite back and you’ll get back online.

All right. I appreciate it. Give it a good try. We’ll be praying for you on that. I appreciate that. Thank you very much. Okay, Paul. And that was Paul. Keep listening. And Paul, that’s something that has happened to a number of Christians. And Peter describes it exactly where a Christian can even forget that they were saved. And you become barren, you become unfruitful, and you become blind spiritually. You don’t see clearly God’s will or his purpose in your life at all.

Your prayers feel like they are bouncing off the ceiling and coming back down. You need to get back in the Word. you need to get back with good Christian fellowship, and you need to get around Christians that are gonna encourage you, lift you back up. Hopefully you’ll get doing that right away. Force yourself. Make sure you get in that car and go to a good church on Sunday. Get your Bible out and make sure that you read it again.

Make sure you pray and tempt to lead someone else to Christ. That’ll really liven things up because you’ll have to probably study the Bible to get answers and you’ll have to pray get help to be able to communicate this message in a way that they’ll understand it and also it’ll allow you good fellowship once you lead them to Christ. So Paul will be praying for you. This is Bibleline of Dr. Anglins Derman. Maybe that’s the condition of your Christian life as well.

Maybe you’ve allowed yourself to become barren, unfruitful, blind, and even to the place where you doubt your salvation. That can happen to the genuine believer, as Peter talks about this here, and tells the believer to get back on the ball and get back and being involved in the things that God has laid out in his word for us to do. We hope that you’re learning with us. As you listen to this question and answer segment featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

Faith without works is dead. It’s used again and again by those that would add works to salvation has their proof text. Most Christians don’t know how to explain James to 14 through 26. Therefore, when those who teach falsely use James to prove their point seldom does anyone ever refute them. Christians need to know the answer.

Do you know how to explain James 2, 14, through 26? Not being able to explain this passage will hinder your effectiveness as a Christian witness. So often the lost will object to the true gospel by saying faith without works is dead. Or if you can’t explain this phrase, then you will probably make no further progress with the one to whom you are witnessing. A new twist also falls is to say that if you do not have works, then you have no faith, and therefore you are not saved.

Many Christians have been confused and robbed of their assurance and the steadfastness of their faith by this presentation. Words are subtly added to the plan of salvation. Works are subtly added to the plan of salvation by this misteaching of the book of James. First of all, when you’re reading James, you might want to make note that it’s written to the saved. James is written to believers. Notice the phrase, my brethren. You’ll find it in James 1 2, 1 16, 1 19, 2 1, 2 5, 2 14, 3 1, and etc., etc.

Throughout the book, James is saying, My brethren, My brethren, My brethren, My brethren, My brethren, My brethren, He’s writing to those who are believers and members of the body of Christ, and brothers and sisters in Christ’s body. James writes to people who are already saved, and the subject is not how to become saved, but the Christian life and how to receive rewards in heaven. James is writing to those who are born again. Note James 1 18. James says, of God’s own will, be yet he us with the word of truth, that we should become a kind of the first fruits of his creatures or creation.

James 1 18. The question is not loss of salvation, which is impossible, but loss of reward. Blessing, not salvation, is what is promised to the doer of the work in James 1.25. So salvation in the Bible, without exception, is always presented as the gift of God. It’s not earned, not deserved, it’s given by God. It was purchased at a great price. It cost the life of Jesus. His life was shed, his blood was shed in order to purchase our salvation.

James 2 14 talks about profit. Profit is something earned, something deserved. Salvation cannot be earned and is not deserved. And so Paul uses the same word profit in 1st Timothy 4 8, where again the topic is reward. And Paul were obviously on the same page. Paul says, for bodily exercise, profit little. But godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life it now is, and of that which is to come. So rewards and blessing come as a result of our living a godly life.

James is speaking of the judgment of the seed of Christ. Many verses talk about the judgment where believers will give it account for what they have done since they have been saved. And James is saying to a believer that faith without works will not produce any reward, and it will not save you from the embarrassment, the regret, the loss of reward that he will experience at the Joseph’s seat of Christ, where the believer will be giving an account for what they have done since they have been saved.

How do we know that James is talking about the Joseph’s seat of Christ? It’s pretty easy to figure that out. The context of James demands that. In James 1 and James 2 12, it says, so speak ye and so do ye as they that have been judged by the law of liberty. This could only be referring to the judgment of believers and the judgment of Christ. And in the case we’re so glad that you’re listening today and I hope you’ll be ready now for the second half hour.

We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break. Get ready for the second half hour. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. We hope that you’re learning with us as you listen to Bibleline and hear real-life questions with scriptural answers from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Please make plans to join us and open your Bible as we also present in-depth studies covering a variety of biblical topics.

Now let’s return to our question and answer segment and then we’ll hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. So we’re now going to go to Wilburn in Richmond, Virginia and Wilburn welcome to Bible in. Good morning Dr. Hank. It’s simply amazing the amount of tremendous increase of false preaching that’s going on and the things that false preachers are promising of people and telling them what type of experiences they can have with angels and so forth and what they should get in this world materially.

So my question is for believers, what does the Bible promise in this life spiritually and materially in this life? Well, the Bible says that you might be poor. It doesn’t, and you might get sick and you probably, you aren’t going to die after about 70 or 80 years. So this world is not where it’s at. And I like what the old hymn writer wrote. This world is not my home. I’m just passing through. My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.

And the Bible commends all those down through time that had that kind of perspective. In Hebrews chapter 11 when you read the so-called Hall of Fame chapter, it says, these all died not having received the promises because they were future beyond death, but they looked for a city, a heavenly city, which is of course the New Jerusalem where all of this would come to pass and we’d ultimately be with the Lord and all of the treasures and the riches of heaven would become ours and we’ll live in the presence of the Lord forever and So if you’re looking for everything here, your perspective is wrong.

And if anything, it says in 2 Timothy chapter 3 that all those that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. So the Bible talks about if you’re going to live for Christ, you are going to experience some persecution and opposition because of that. And of course Christ also said in the Gospel of Matthew, Matthew, beware when all men speak well of you, because obviously you’re not going to be well spoken of by everybody if you are going to be speaking what God wants you to speak from His Word.

And so there will be those who will criticize you and those that will reject what you have to say and those that will probably curse you for that. And so the Bible tells us to rejoice when we’re persecuted for Christ’s sake because great is our reward in heaven. So the rewards are in heaven. We need to not try to look for rewards here. Are we promised the fruit of the Spirit here? Of course. Anybody who yields themselves to obey the Lord can experience the Spirit’s fruit in our life.

And you see that in Galatians 5, 22, and 23, where the fruit of the Spirit is ninefold, but it’s the Spirit’s fruit. But also, we are also to bear fruit, which is to reproduce ourselves in the fruit of a Christian is to bear other Christians. So as we witness and lead people to Christ, then we have spiritual children and that’s the fruit of the Christian, but the fruit of the spirit is also ours as we yield to obey. Okay.

Okay. Well, thank you for answering that. You’re very welcome. Thank you, Wilburn. We’re going to go to Todd and Tampa. Todd, welcome to Bibleline. Hi, Hank. Good morning. Good morning. Last week you were talking about the anti-Christ, I just wanted to ask you a couple questions. One is the actual role of the false prophet, what kind of position they would hold in World Affairs, whether it be religious or would it be economic or political. And the other is, you had mentioned that you think the anti-Christ may be a president in the future and I’d like to hear your comments on that.

Alright, we’ll do that, Todd. Thank you. Actually, Satan has a Trinity. There are are numerous verses that list the three members of his trinity. Satan, Revelation 20 verse 10 says the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. So they are all going to be together one day in hell forever where it says they’ll be tormented day and night forever and ever. So, uh… There you have Satan or the devil, and he is the anti-type of God.

Then you have the beast who is the anti-Christ, and he is the anti-type of Christ. The false prophet is the anti-type of the Holy Spirit. Each of them play out a role that is kind of a negative reflection of the Godhood of God, that God exists eternally as three separate eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son, the Holy Spirit. And Satan’s Trinity is somewhat of a negative reflection of that, and he has his own Trinity. So the ministry of the false prophet is the same in relationship to the Antichrist as the Holy Spirit’s ministry is in relationship to Christ.

And you can see the equality of his Trinity in Revelation chapter 13. It talks about the false prophet and it says in verse 12, he exercises all the power of the first beast before him. So notice he’s equal in power with the Antichrist. And what do we know about Christ and the Holy Spirit? Well Christ is God, the Holy Spirit is God, so they share equal power because they both are God himself. And so here the false prophet will have equal power with the first beast.

Also it says here that he will cause the earth and them that dwell therein to worship the first beast. If you read about the role of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit’s role is to glorify Christ and to bring people to Christ and to focus on Christ. And so the ministry of the false prophet is to glorify the Antichrist and to cause the world to focus on the Antichrist and to worship the Antichrist. Kind of interesting. Yes, I think he probably may be a religious leader, and he could be the leader of the world church.

As we see ecumenicism has been moving along rather steadily here for 30 or 40 years ever since Vatican II, and it looks like the religions are willing to kind of come together. Certainly once the rapture happens, when all genuine believers are snatched out, out. And the religious systems are still in place, but only unbelievers in them and those who are leaders in them are unbelievers. I think they’ll readily and quickly merge and the false prophet may be the head of that whole religious situation.

As far as the Antichrist, I believe he comes out of this country and obviously he’ll be a very, very powerful man who directs the country, and so the most visible person who has the most power of any single man on the earth at this present time is the President of the United States. And we find that the Antichrist will probably be President. If Bush were unsaved, then we could say maybe he’s it. But if he is saved, then at the Rapture, he could be taken out and then Cheney could be put in as president and maybe he’s the Antichrist.

But if Cheney and Bush are both Christians, then both of them might be raptured. Can you imagine the Secret Service agents running around saying, what happened to the president? It’s going to be a wild scenario, isn’t it? And others are going to be looking for you and for me. But they’ll certainly be in a matter of great concern to say what happened to the president, what happened to the vice president. And if they just disappear, if they are Christians, they will go up at the rapture.

And then the Speaker of the House would be sworn in. You remember when John F. Kennedy was assassinated? I can still remember where I was and what happened. That was something that riveted our nation. You remember, it wasn’t many hours later, that they were swearing in Lyndon B. Johnson as the new president of the United States to take his place. A real shocking experience for our country. And you mentioned what will happen when the rapture happens, and leadership will be taken out, those that are Christians.

And so the most powerful man on the earth, I believe right now, is the president, and he’ll come out of this country, the Antichrist will. And we could be close. In fact, this road map for peace is very interesting to me because the Bible talks about a peace in the Middle East that will obviously happen and coincide with the rapture and the beginning of the tribulation period. I’m not saying this one is it because we’ve seen numerous attempts, but it could be and would not be something.

It says in 1 Thessalonians 5 and verse 2, when they, the unsaved world shall say peace and security, then sudden destruction come up upon them as travail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape. That’s talking about the tribulation period. We’ll suddenly come right on the unsaved world by surprise when they’re saying, wow, we finally solved the piece in the Middle East and it looks like things are gonna even out but we’re watching I think prophecy unfold right now and Todd I hope that helped you with your question We’re going to go to Brian in Alberta, Alabama.

And welcome to Bibleline Brian. How are you doing today? Good. I just got a question for you. And Job 1-6 and 2-1, it says, it’s something about the Son to God. Exactly. And who are they? Right. Yeah. The sons of God, they are believers. In particular, the sons of Job, his daughters and sons were believers, and they had come together to worship the Lord. They are the sons of God. It’s certainly not angels. And the scene is occurring on the earth, not in heaven.

And again, Hebrews 1-5, if you jot that down, God never called an angel his son. So that ends that whole argument right there. says unto which of the angels did God at any time say, Thou art my son. The implied answer in that verse is he never did. He never called an angel his son. The Bible actually tells us in Hebrews that we were created lower than the angels, but when we get saved, that were raised in position to be higher than the angels.

So these are not angels, they are believers. As John 1 12 tells us to as many as we would receive Christ, to them God gave authority for them to become the sons of God, to those that believe on His name. So when you trust Christ, you become born again and you become a son or daughter in God’s family. But in Job 1-6, it talks about how the sons of God are present with us. They came to worship the Lord, and Satan also came among them also.

And if you read the context a little bit further down, it said, the Lord says to Satan, Where did you come from? He said from roaming to and from up and down in the earth. So the scene is on the earth. And whenever believers gather, I’m sure Satan, if not himself, with his angels that are fallen with him, are gathering intelligence and they’re present. I believe angels are watching. And thank God, God has his angels that are guardians to us that watch over us and protect us from the Satan’s angels.

But this was Satan observing the worship of the believers there. Job’s sons in particular. So these are believers coming to worship the Lord and Satan’s right there. And then of course God brags on Job and Satan says, yeah, he’s such a good guy because you keep a hedge around him and protect him from me. But you just let me have at him and he’ll curse you. And of course, God allowed him to do that, but it never happened. Good question, Brian.

All right. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome. That was Brian in Alberta, Alabama. That wraps up today’s question and answer segment. He causes all, verse 16, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads. And what about this mark where 17 that no man might buy or sell, say they had the mark, or the name of the beast or the number of his name?

The technology is here right now. Bear Chip in West Palm Beach has a little chip in what size of a grain of rice they can slip in your hand. And you can just go right through the store and it will debit your account. As they scan all the products in your grocery cart and in debit your account by scanning you I’ve seen ads already on television saying wouldn’t you like to leave your wallet at home? You won’t have to carry any credit cards won’t have to carry any identification Even right now if you don’t have your driver’s license The police have a computer right there They can pull you up just like that and show whether you have a valid registration or driver’s license and whether it’s current and everything right now so you don’t have to carry it anymore.

And the time is coming when all they’ll do is scan your hand and they’ll know everything they need to know about you. Positive identification and you can do all your monetary transactions with it. What is interesting in verse 18 when it says 6, 6, 6, if you get a concordance look up that word. It not only means 666, but it also comes from the Greek word stigma, from which we get the word stigma from those so-called good Friday bleed and their hands and feet.

Well, that word actually means stigma, really means mark, but it also means to an size and punch under. How accurate that is the description of this little rice-green sized chip. They stick the hypodermic, which incises your skin, and then when they push that rice chip under, it is punched under your skin. A perfect description of what the Bible describes will take place. They are beginning to chip people now, but already they are chipping your animals. If you notice the Humane Society, when they are offering animals to the public, they say they are already vaccinated and chipped.

So all they have to do is scan your animal and they’ll know who the owner is and the history of the dog and its medical history and where it lives and so on and be able to return your dog. People with more expensive animals, sir, they put it in parrots which are very expensive and if somebody finds that parrot they can just scan the chip and find the home for that dog, cat or whatever animal you have right now and we’re being conditioned to do that.

Of course, the product was originally called Digital Angel because you could chip your child and that way if they were missing or kidnapped, you could track them and find out where they are. Right now you can do that. If you get your child chipped, you can buy the computer program and your child is tracked by GPS and you can find out if your child said, I’m going to the library, mom and dad and And maybe they really went to the mall or to the movie, you’ll be able to see exactly where they are at home and track your own kids.

And of course, this technology is right out there right now. Had one man come to the church the other day and says, I can’t stay here long. My van is chipped and my boss does exactly what this van is. If I’m here longer than five minutes, he’s going to ask why were you there? If I’m only five minutes and no question will be raised, but they’re tracking employees right now. Businesses want to know where their employees and how long are they at this location that location they can see it all on the screen in the main office And so we’re Living in that type of environment where this guy was panicky says I’ve only got a couple minutes hurry up Let me get the book I want and I’m out of here They know where my van is and so he was a work van and they knew where he was and they could spot him in that amazing

I Had a guy out here one day walking the property he had this device and I said what are you doing? He says I’m giving a GPS location for every one of the telephone poles in this whole area. He says when I sends a signal up he says they’ll know within just about two feet where this pole is and it locates it so they have a GPS position on every telephone pole in the county. It’s amazing what’s going on.

I said your kid he says no I’m not he says I’m watch what I do I go to each pole and I get the number off the pole and I enter that and the GPS location. And they know exactly then the number where this pole is right to the foot or so. And so they can locate them. We’re living in an incredible world. And so here people won’t be able to buy or sell without it. Did you ever dream that you go to your gas pump, swipe the card and your gas bill is taken care of right there at the pump?

I mean, really quite an amazing world. And these things work everywhere in the world. I was in a remote part of Egypt, done at Luxor, in the Valley of the Kings. And there was a place that I saw something I just had to have and I used my credit card and, whew, amazing. It doesn’t matter where you are. The credit card can work. And it’s a part of a system the Bible says would happen in the last days. Verse 18 says, here’s wisdom, Let him not have to understand the number of the beast or the Antichrist, for it’s the number of a man.

It says in his number is 603 score and 6. That is 666. One of the meanings possible is that God is saying to us, He’s just a man. Man was created on the sixth day and it says 666. He’s a man, he’s a man, he’s a man. Jesus was a man but he was also God, the anichrist who will claim to be God is just a man. Also, it could be that the number that people will have will be 18 digits.

We memorize numbers and blocks. I have a lot of phone numbers in my head believe it or not. And it’s because I can memorize three digits and four digits. And that makes it easy for me to do. If I just was numbering memorizing seven digits, I’d get them all confused and I wouldn’t be able to do it. And so if you were to have an 18-digit number, you would break it into three blocks of six. Six digits, six digits, and you could memorize your number.

I could memorize my number that way easily. I believe that everybody will have an individual number, probably 18 digits in length, and yet it will be broken into three blocks of 666, which would be a tip-off to anybody living in the tribulation period to say, 18 digits, three blocks of six, that’s the way we memorize it. Clearly, the indication that this is not of God, this is the system. All right. 14. I looked at lo a lamb. The lamb is Christ.

Stood upon Mount Zion. This is not on the earth, but this is a scene in heaven. The heavenly Jerusalem, the real Mount Zion. And the Bible talks about the difference between the earthly Jerusalem and the heavenly Jerusalem and the earthly Mount Zion and the heavenly Mount Zion. Well, there’s Christ in heaven on Mount Zion and with him 140 and 4,000. And we read about them in chapter 7 as they began their ministry. They were sealed and they’re all Jewish 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes.

But here we learn more. At this point they’re martyred. I believe they witnessed for the first three and a half years and then they’re martyred and now we see them in heaven. And notice it says they had their father’s name written in their foreheads. Verse 2, I heard a voice from heaven as the voice of many waters. That has to be Christ. The voice as of a great thunder. That’s Christ. and heard the voice of harpers, harping upon their harps.

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no man could learn that song but the 144,000. So here the 144,000 are going to sing, and they’re going to sing a song unique just to that group. And it says, notice they were redeemed from the earth. Verse four says, these are they which were not defiled with women for their virgins. So we learn here that they are men and they are virgin men and they are all Jewish.

Be sure to tune in to another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. How do we know that James is talking about the judgment state of Christ? Well, it’s pretty easy to figure that out. The context of James demands that. In James 2.12, it says, so speaky and so do as they that have been judged by the law of liberty. This can only be referring to the judgment of believers and the judgment of Christ. James 2 14 we find No believer will be saved exempted From the believer’s judgment of works No works will bring about no reward or no profit So death in the Bible by the way always means separation physical death is the separation of the spirit and the soul from the body Second Corinthians 5, 8, is a great verse, absent from the body, present with the Lord.

The second death is the separation of the Spirit and Soul from God, in Hell, forever and ever. Knowing this definition of death will then help you understand the phrase, Faith Without Works is dead. Being death means separation and not a cessation of existence. We look at James 2.26 because this verse really gives the whole chapter perspective. It says in James 2.26, for as the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. So if I were to die physically, my body would drop to the ground in my spirit and my soul would go to be with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord.

Would I still be alive? Yes, I would still be alive. I have eternal life. But my body would not have any vital signs and would not be able to display my life to anybody in the human realm or the physical realm or the physical world. I would be present with the Lord and I’d be very much alive. In the same way, James says, faith without works is dead. What does he mean? Works are to faith as the body is to the Spirit.

The body displays the life of the Spirit. Works display faith. The only way I can display that I’m alive is with my body. I move and I talk and you can hear me and see me and so on. But the only way I can display that I have faith is by my works. So if I have no works, does that mean I have no faith? No, of course not. That would be like saying that if I die physically, I would no longer exist.

The truth is, I have eternal life, even though I may lose my body. I’m still very much alive. And if you have faith but no works, you simply cannot demonstrate that faith to another that you have faith. That is the point that James is making. Yay, a man may say he says, “‘Thou has faith and I have works. Show me your faith without thy works, and I’ll show you my faith by my works.” To be an effective Christian, you need to have works.

And that’s the only way you can earn reward. And one day James is saying you’re going to give an account and can faith save you? Of course, when you trust Christ, you’re saved from hell, but can faith without work save you? And is talking really about the judgment of Christ, and it cannot save you from the embarrassment to regret the sorrow, the loss of reward, the tears that will be shed by the believer who has done no works since they’ve been saved.
