That’s 1-800-576-3771. Once again, we would like to thank you, listener, for your prayers and support for Bibleline Ministries. God bless you. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline. And great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We look forward to being with you Krug every day, Monday through Friday. As we come to you live from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church, where I’m the pastor. Love to meet you. If you ever get a chance to come by, please do.

If you come in from out of state to visit Florida, visit Tampa from wherever you might be coming from, take that extra minute to come by and say hi to us. We’re right next to the Tampa International Airport. We’re just one block west of the main north south runway. That gives you a little bit of a visual as to where we are, and easy to find. So we hope you’ll take that time to come by and see us. Of course, if you live locally or in the area and within driving distance, please come on by.

You can always visit during the week and visit our resource center, open every day until about 4.30. You can also come by on a worship day and this Sunday, coming up the 17th of August, is the the third Sunday. That means food. We’re going to have a wonderful lunch dinner right after the worship service. You’re welcome to come at 1030. Be my guest and bring your family, your Bible, your appetite and join us for the worship service and then stay for some great home cooked food and a lot of great fellowship and a good time together.

I’d love to get to sit down with you and meet with you and I hope you’ll come this Sunday. This is a great Sunday to come because we also are having a baptism in the afternoon at three at a lake very close here to Bible on headquarters. And we’d love to have you join us in baptism if you’ve not been baptized. Since you have been saved, you ought to be. Not to be saved because water will not wash away your sin.

Baptism is a testimony of how you were cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ. The water is merely symbolic. But we immerse people, that means we put them under the water. And that’s the picture of the fact that we have been crucified I’ve been crucified with Christ buried in Rose, risen again from the dead and we’re going to have that this coming Sunday at 3 o’clock You’re welcome to come and be a part of that service call get your name on the list and we can give you directions instructions over the phone and We hope you’ll just make it a day if you’re in driving This has come for the morning worship service at 10 30 stay for the lunch and then hang out with us a little bit and we’ll all head up to the lake and we’ll it’s a beautiful backyard of a church member

and they have green grass and there’s shade trees and it’s just gorgeous looking over the lake and the grass comes right down to the water’s edge and then there’s a soft gentle slope with sandy bottom and we’ll baptize this sunday afternoon at three so please call if you’d like to be a part of that Maybe you have a church that doesn’t baptize. Maybe you have a church that doesn’t put people under the water. And maybe you’d like to be baptized.

I’d be honored to be the one to baptize you this Sunday. And, of course, if you want to wait till February, if the Lord hasn’t come back, we’ll be baptizing in Israel. We’ve baptized 12 this past year on our trip to Israel. And you can do it then. But if you haven’t been baptized since you’ve been saved. You ought to be as an obedient believer and follow Christ’s instructions to be water baptized. And it doesn’t save again, but it’s an act of obedience.

And Christ certainly will bless you for your obedience and give you testimony in this way. So make plans to be in this Sunday’s baptism if you can. Also our resource center has a lot of great stuff in it. We’ve got some wonderful books that will really help you in understanding your Bible. And I think one of the greatest tools is the Schofield Reference Bible, which is geared to doctrine and what you really need to know. This originally came out in 1909 and 1917, and those are the additions that we sell that we have in our Resource Center, and you can get yourself a Schofield Bible from us.

If you go to your Christian store, guess what? They’ll probably say you wanted the new hybrids which the nuts are watered down. They’ve added notes that were not by Dr. Scofield notes that I would disagree with and so they’re inferior the real Scofield Bible you want to get is one of those real old ones and they’re hard to find out there and we have exclusively those in our Resource Center by the way you can take a look at our resource center by going online to Bibleline ministries.org You can also go online and catch our radio program live right now.

And you’ll be able to catch it, of course, in archive later by going to BibleLineMinistries.org. You can catch our worship services by going to BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the camera and you can catch our television programs by clicking on the TV set on the home page. Lots of stuff there for you. I hope you’ll take advantage. And if you don’t have a church home, you can catch our worship service service live on Sunday morning by going there at 11 o’clock Eastern Standard Time.

Click on that camera and when I begin the actual message the video in the audio will come up and you’ll be able to listen and watch the worship service. And if you have a big monitor you can go ahead and hit view on your computer and and hit full screen and you will be able to fill the whole thing up just a few months ago we had a reunion in the mountains of Kentucky and there they had a large screen projector, the computer and they showed it for the people, the worship service for the people at the family reunion.

And apparently one guy I went from what I heard raised his hand at the invitation and trusted the Lord in the mountains of Kentucky watching the Sunday morning service right here from Tampa, Florida from the Calvary Community Church as I brought the message. You can take advantage of that wherever you might be and join us for our Sunday worship or they’re in archive. You can watch a years where the sermons all sitting there waiting for you. We’re going to get into our Bibles for a few minutes and you’ll find Revelation is one of the most fascinating books.

And in the book of Revelation we learn that there is coming a thousand year kingdom of peace on earth. Good will, court men. It’s foretold throughout the Old Testament. And in the book of Revelation, it mentioned six times in chapter 20 that there would be this kingdom that Christ would establish for a thousand years. It says a thousand years, a thousand years, a thousand years. They will rule and reign with Christ a thousand years. It speaks of it six times in this one chapter.

So we know that Christ will be here on the earth for a thousand years now it talks about just before the Tribulation begins rather than the thousand years begins right at the end of the tribulation period Let me just back up here because the next event on God’s program is the Rapture and That’s when all of us who are believers who are living when Christ shouts as he comes back will be caught up to meet him in the air.

This is not the same thing as the second coming. The second coming is when Christ comes all the way down to the earth and stays here on the earth in a physical body really over the earth for a thousand years. But at the rapture Christ only comes partway. He comes to the upper atmosphere shouts and all of us believers will be evacuated and will not go through one second, not one minute of the seven years of tribulation, which will be the darkest hours the human race will ever face.

I’m glad I’m leaving it the Rapture, but we will come back seven years later with Christ at the Second Coming. But this event when Christ comes back seven years after the Rapture is the event when all All of the Old Testament Saints and all the Tribulation Saints will get their resurrection bodies. That is called in Revelation chapter 20, the first resurrection. It says in verse 6, Blessed and Holy. This it means happy. Holy means righteous is he that hath part in the first resurrection.

Obviously, we’re talking about the same. They’re gonna be happy. Obviously to be with the Lord forever. And they’re gonna be righteous because of the righteousness of God that is imputed to the believer. When you trust Christ, you become holy in God’s sight. Positionally, God sees you as though you have never sinned. I was amazed to find out that the Bible required to go to heaven, you’d have to be as righteous as God. None of us are. None of us could ever become that righteous by our works, by our deeds, by our efforts.

That’s why the Bible says it’s not based upon our works. It’s not based upon our deeds. It’s based upon the finished work of Jesus Christ as He substituted Himself in our place and took our sins upon Himself. And he paid for those sins in full by his death, barrel, and resurrection, by his death and shed blood. And when you trust that he did that for you, God credits your account with his righteousness and therefore you’re called holy or righteous once you trust Christ.

And those that are in the first resurrection will be given their resurrection body at the second coming of Christ. Now let me back up a little bit, seven years earlier at the rapture. Everyone in the church age, which began at Pentecost, and will end at the rapture, will get their resurrection body. So actually, I’m going to get my resurrection body seven years ahead of all of the Old Testament saints. In other words, I’m going to get my resurrection body seven years before Noah will get his.

Seven years before Isaiah will get his, or David will get his, or Daniel, or any of the Old Testament heroes. They will not get their resurrection bodies till the end of the tribulation period at what is called the first resurrection, but we of the church age are going to get our new bodies at the event of the rapture. So when the rapture happens, every one of us that have been saved from Pentecost and Tullarapture are either by having already died and been with the Lord, Yet our resurrection bodies as Christ comes back or be alive and caught up and transformed into our new resurrection body on the way up as Christ shouts and we meet all of those who have previously died as believers of the church age in the atmosphere and there’s going to be this meeting in the air where all the believers of the church age will be in one place at one time

given our resurrection bodies and be forever with the Lord. Seven years later, those of the Old Testament those that are of the tribulation period will get their resurrection bodies and it tells us something here. It tells us that the seven years of tribulation are actually the last seven years of the Old Testament. They’re included with those who have died prior to Pentecost. All of the Old Testament saints are still waiting to get their resurrection bodies. They’re with the Lord.

They’re present with Him right now. But they do not have the resurrection bodies and they will not receive them until seven years after the Rapture. So I’m going to get my body, you’re going to get your body, if you’re a believer that is, seven years before the Old Testament saints that we read about in our Bibles. Isn’t that going to be something? We get to beat them out a little bit. But then it says here in verse 5 of Revelation 20, the rest of the dead lived out again until the thousand years were finished.

talks about the unsaved dead. Now they’re very much alive. They’re in a place called Hades. They’re in the heart of the earth. They’re in a place of flaming torment. They are very conscious about their situation and there’s nothing they could do about it. There is no second chance after you die. But they will have to wait until after the thousand years are over and it tells us us that during that thousand years Satan is going to be bound up.

He’ll be bound up down in the heart of the earth where all of the unbelievers are in Hades in Flamin’ Tormate waiting that day. And when Satan is loose he comes against Christ with a short battle and in verse 10 it says, the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast in the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. So Satan is going to be cast into hell.

Now that’s the real hell he brought up out of Hades cast into hell at the end of the thousand year rule of Christ. And then we learn over a little bit further that all of the unsaved of mankind which are waiting right now in Hades in the heart of the earth will be brought up given the resurrection bodies. And with their new resurrection bodies, they will all be cast into the everlasting lake of fire It says in verse 14 and death and Hades now death refers to the body they’ll be given new bodies and Hades refers here to the place where their souls are right now waiting in detention until Satan is cast into hell it says and death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire This is the second death So ultimately every unsafe person, everybody who dies without Christ will be cast into the eternal lake of fire.

A lot of people don’t like to believe in hell. A lot of people don’t like to preach about hell or hear about hell, but let me just tell you this. The Bible talks a lot about hell. In fact, Jesus spoke more about hell than he did about heaven. Why? Because he didn’t want you and me to go there. And because he didn’t want you and me to go to hell. Jesus left heaven, came to the earth, took on human flesh, went to the cross of Calvary, took your sins in mind, and paid for them in full at the cross, was buried in rose again from the dead.

And when you trust in His death in your place to pay for your sins, God saves you and you will never ever ever go to hell if you trust Jesus Christ as Savior. Let me go back to verse 6 a moment. It says blessed and holy is he to have part in the first resurrection on such the second death, half no power. Now we just learned here the second death in verse 14 is to be cast into the everlasting hell they everlasting lake of fire and So the believer will never go to hell the believer will never Experience the second death.

It says in Revelation 20 verse 6 on such the second death have no power Wow, I’m never gonna go to hell and neither will you if you trust Christ as your Savior But the unbeliever will And that’s why we need to evangelize. That’s why we need to make sure our family members know Jesus as their Savior. I hope yours are all saved. I’m Dr. Englundsstrom. This is Bible and we’re going to take our callers in just a minute. The phone number here is 1-800-576-3771.

Give us a call 1-800-576-3771. We’d love to hear from you. And we’re going to take an off-air question here or two, one or two. It says in rather rather Celeste in Huntsville, Texas calls in and she says where in the Bible does it speak of the Rapture? Well it speaks in a lot of places in the New Testament it’s not in the Old Testament but in 1st Thessalonians 4 17 in particular it talks about we which are alive and remain shall be caught up guess what the word Rapture means caught up and you You can just insert it there if you like.

I’m glad that the English word rapture does not occur because nobody knows what it means. You have to go to the dictionary and look it up. But it means caught up and it says those of us which are living and alive and remain unto the coming of Christ will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So that is the main passage. First Thessalonians 4, 13 through 18 in particular. So I hope that helps Celeste. And thank you so much for being patient.

We’ve been really unable to get to our offer questions. We’ve been so busy with so many collars here lately. We have Bill in Deerfield Beach, Florida. And he leaves this offer a question. Does the Bible speak about suicide? And what happens to a person who commits suicide? And the answer is absolutely yes. The believer will never go to hell even if he commits suicide. That doesn’t mean you should commit suicide. But look at John 637. Jesus said, hymnalic comeeth to me, I will in no wise cast out.

I will in no wise cast out. Anyone that comes to me. And there’s no exception clause. It doesn’t accept for suicide. By the way, there are those who have committed suicide who were believers and they went to heaven. Samson, when he pushed the pillars down of that Philistine stadium, brought down thousands of people to their death, but also himself. That was an act of suicide and Samson went to heaven. He’s one of the heroes of the Bible. It’s not condoning suicide, but the Bible does teach it.

Saul committed suicide. He fell on his own sword on the battlefield. And the Bible tells us that Saul would join Samuel, the prophet, and obviously Samuel was saved in so Saul, and his sons all went to heaven, and Saul had committed suicide. Well, we’ll leave it at that. Certainly, it’s not the impartables. the unpardonable sin is to die not having trusted Jesus Christ as Savior. We’re now going to go to Reginald in Tampa, Florida and Reginald, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air.

Good morning Dr. Langston, God bless. I got a question for you. It’s concerning origins of the Jewish tribes. Back in Genesis they named the sons of Gomer. One of the sons of Gomer is the first son is named Asikonaz. i was thinking i was trying to look it up or are these people that they convert to juneism from the start that was it by marriage are are are what i mean how did they become do’s i mean because they were there in eastern europe where he’s eastern european just not that anything’s wrong with the because god works in in great way i don’t want to know how to all this get connected if you have an answer for me all right well let’s go back to a brand a brand lived in iraq in the land of or uh…

there in the miss of tatium valley He was asked by God to move to the Promised Land, Israel, and by so doing he became the first Hebrew. The word Hebrew means to cross over. And so he crossed over into the Promised Land. And so everybody that’s a descendant of Abraham in a technical sense is a Hebrew. His son was named Isaac, and then Abraham’s grandson was named Jacob. In Jacob’s name was changed to Israel, which means child of God.

So technically the first Israelite was Jacob. Jacob’s name was changed to Israel and everybody who is a true Israelite. Spiritually that is, you can be physically the descendant of Jacob or Israel and not go to heaven. You must become as Jacob was saved and become a true Israelite in the sense that you are born again and take on that new birth and become a child of God and will enter heaven. The Bible says in Romans 9 just because you’re the physical descendant of Jacob or Israel doesn’t mean that you are a true Israelite.

It says, those which are children of the flesh, these are not the children of God, but the children of the promised seed or Christ are counted as God’s seed, and they’re the ones that will enter heaven. So then we find that Jacob had twelve sons, and they became the twelve sons of Jacob or Israel and became the twelve tribes. And Judah, of course, later became one of the very largest tribes, and in the Babylonian captivity. It is then that the name Jew, which was a slang or a byword, got applied to the whole nation of Israel.

So that’s kind of the way it plays out. And we know that after the flood of Noah, the sons of Noah actually became the fathers of all the people that are on the earth and we know he had three sons that were with him in the ark with his and they were Shem, Ham and Japheth and by these were the whole world over spread. Verse 18, well let me read verse 18 and 19 of Genesis chapter 9 it says, and the sons of Noah that went forth out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth and Ham is the father of Canaan.

Verse 19, now these are the three sons of Noah and of them was the whole earth over spread. But only those that were, now remember Abraham came along later, several hundred years later, those that are descended of Abraham through Isaac and through Jacob and are really the children of Israel or the Jewish people. Oh, okay. So the people that they’re talking about in the end days time, people say, it says like uh… there will be those that are in juson they’re not these are more or less secular people who fall from the faith in right well it’s talking that the term there is really on those days the early christians were jews that but a true jus is what is accepted his messiah The Bible had prophesied and would come.

And there are those who claim to be Christians, for example today, that are not really Christians at all. And that’s really the equivalent of that phrase there in the book of Revelation. They are saying that they are a believer or a Jew or a Christian and in reality, but are not. Bingo, that’s what I want to hear. Okay. Okay, thanks a lot, Don. Sure, welcome. Thank you, Reginald. And that was Reginald. We have now Gregory and he’s down in Miami and we could just maybe get started.

We may not get this question finished before the break. Go ahead, Gregory. You’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Leso. How are you doing? Good. Good. I have a quick question. If you’re about the children of Israel, we know that Joshua and Caleb were the only other the original children of Israel, Ratchet and Camp, went to Promise Lab. And of course, you know, that Moses hold this question off here for you because of the time coming up here on the brake Gregory Hold on to Miami there and again, thank you for tuning in.

We’re gonna go to a short break here again Byblind is listeners supported if you could help by blind boy It’d be great especially during the summer months We’re running a little bit short and you could call and give that gift by credit card over the phone You can do that even during the show or later today and we’re gonna take a break We’re going to come back to you to a second half hour Bibleline. So keep your radio tuned right where it is on Dr.

Engdensford. We’ll be right back to part two of Bibleline. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment to pledge your support for Bibleline. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right. I’m Dr. Engdensford and this is Bible and it’s wonderful to be able to be with you every day and we thank you for tuning in today to the broadcast. You can listen on internet as often as you like. You might want to pass that word along to your friends and also relatives and maybe missionaries.

You know anywhere in the world people can listen to Bible and if they have internet so keep that in mind as you pass the word along to maybe family in the military, maybe missionaries in other countries And we know we have people all over the world that hear us and correspond with us through the emails. And we’re excited about that. 158 countries actually have logged on to the Bible and program. They can watch our television shows. When I was an Israel just a few months ago, I tuned in to our own broadcast while I was in Jerusalem in my hotel.

Amazing. the technology today that allows us to happen. Pass that word along to your friends and relatives in other countries or in other parts of the United States of America. We hope that you’re enjoying Bibleline and we hope that you’re taking advantage of our website BibleLineMinistries.org. You can catch our worship services, you can catch our radio programs, you can catch our television programs, you can visit our Resource Center and you can order directly off of the resource center on our website and you can also donate to help by blind on the online bookstore.

Why not check that out if you would. I think you’re going to really enjoy that. Again, we have things that I have approved of that are in our resource center. So many books, I bought thousands of books and most of them are worth the paper printed on. And if you go to a Christian bookstore, you might think you’re in a safe zone. That is not true. Boy, there’s a lot of books out today that are doctrinally unsound and they’re right there in the Christian bookstore and people go in and they say, oh, all these books are wonderful and they’re okay.

They’re not. You have to be careful. And the books that we have in our resource center, you can count on being good. And by the way, you could call and ask for resource sheet to be sent to you. You can also look at all of our resource items on the internet if you want BibleLineMinistries.org. Just click on the online bookstore and you can order directly off of that. Again, we’re listeners supported. We need your help. If you haven’t given the Bible ign, would you consider doing that?

You could give a gift to Bibleline by just going there and doing it by credit card or you could call and give that gift right over the phone here at our Bible and Headquarters. We could use your help and I want to thank you to dance for your prayers and your gifts to keep Bible on the air. We’re gonna do the second half hour right now. We’re gonna join stations that have been on break so keep your radio right there.

And here we go. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break. And this is Bibleline. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios here in Tampa at the Calvary Community Church. Church where I’m the pastor we invite you to come by and visit our resource senator in the week or come by if you like on a worship day this Sunday would be a great Sunday to come because it’s our third Sunday dinner and if you want to get in on some good food good fellowship come at the 1030 service stay for the worship service and then stay for the lunch dinner that will follow and I’d love to get a chance to meet you this is our chance to sit down talk to people eat

That’s a great food, hips and great fellowship, and you’ll enjoy and you can kind of make it a day, especially if you’re driving a distance to come and see us. Also this is a great Sunday because we’re going to have a baptism at three in the afternoon. And if you’ve not been water baptized as a believer, you ought to be, not to be saved. Obviously water will not wash away our sin. Water baptism will not save you. And if you died and you hadn’t been water baptized, it’s still good of heaven.

But as a believer, Christ has given us two ordinances, water baptism and the Lord’s up for it, and certainly as an obedient believer, you ought to be baptized as a testimony of how you were cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ. We’re going to do that at three in the afternoon this coming Sunday. You’re welcome to be a part of that. Make it a day. Come join us for the 1030 service. for the lunch, then just go ahead and follow us to the lake, which is just a little bit away here from the Bible on headquarters and I would be honored to include you and be the one to baptize you this Sunday afternoon at three.

Call, get your name on the list, and get instructions from our operators and we’ll see you this Sunday for all these wonderful activities. We certainly are excited about what God is doing through Bible line and we have people getting saved through the program. We had some people visit our church services last Sunday that they had told us that they had gotten saved by listening to the Bibleline program and we hear it all the time. We’re just excited that we’re reaching the lost through this program but also were reaching the same who also tell us that they’re learning so much through Bible.

And that a couple of ladies told me this past weekend that they have learned more, and they’ve been around for over 70 years or in their 70s, that they’ve learned more from Bible and then they had from all the preachers that they had sat under in all of their life. That’s incredible. Well, Bible and obviously is trying to get the Word of God out in a way that you can understand what’s going on and hopefully you’re being blessed by the program and would like to be a part you know we’re listeners important and the only way we can accomplish what we’re doing here is to have your help we don’t pay any salaries but we push everything back into expanding out as far as we can to get this message out to as many people as we can before Jesus returns we have got to be

close are you watching the news wars and rumors of wars Russia invading Georgia and the other things in the Middle East that seemed like they’re ready to explode and the world was not as safe a place as it was at one time and we believe that these are signs of the Lord’s return. Jerusalem is in the mix and Israel is right in the heart of it all. These are the times the Bible has spoken about and this is the time to really try to make sure that your family is safe and to invest and serve Christ with all the energy you have while we have time before Jesus calls us out.

And certainly we want to be using it a time wisely as we approach that day when he’ll snatch us out. And you can call and give a gift to Bible. And that would really help us out as we are running short here during the summer. And your gift would make the difference. And we hope that you will call in and give a gift by credit card. Call in and ask for an envelope to be said, well, a million envelope with our dress on, you can mail it in, or you can give on our online bookstore on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org.

We’re gonna go back to Gregory, and Gregory’s in Miami, and we were talking to him about Joshua and Caleb. They were the two of the 12 spies that Moses sent out that had the true report, and they got to enter the Promised Land. the rest died in the wilderness. Okay, what was the question Gregory? Yeah, actually it’s a quick question. The first one is in reference to that, is it safe for us to say or is it accurate for us to say that all the children of Israel who died without answering a promise line were not believers?

Were they not saved? Because they did not have faith. That is not true. The interesting thing is that the promise land was not a picture of heaven. The promise land was not a picture of heaven. a picture of victory in the Christian life. You see the promised land, they had to go and conquer it. And that was a picture to us of the battles that we have as a Christian and that we need to have faith as a believer to have victory in our Christian life every day.

Now we’re saved by faith and they obviously exhibited that faith of salvation by offering up the Passover Lamb in Egypt, which was a picture of Christ’s death and his shed blood at the cross of Calvary. And because of that, by God’s grace, he delivered them out of Egypt across the Red Sea and drowned the Egyptian army as they tried to cross behind them. Now they were in the wilderness and could now have victory in their Christian life, but But they murmured, they complained, and they showed no faith in believing the God that could save them from Egypt could now also give the victory to Christian life.

How many Christians did that way? They trust Christ as Savior, but they don’t believe that God could do anything after that. And that’s the mistake that children of Israel made. So it doesn’t mean they weren’t saved. They were saved, but they didn’t have victory. They wandered in the wilderness for 40 years till they died out, and what did they have to show forth? Nothing. They were in a desert, and they had, obviously, it’s the peaks of the barrenness of their Christian life, and no rewards, whereas they could have entered into the land that was filled with milk and honey, and all the wonderful things that God had in store for them to enjoy if they would only have believed God could give them victory over their enemies and take over the land.

The 12 spies went out. Two of them came back and say, hey, we can do it. We can take them. We’ve got a great guy to deliver us from Egypt. And let’s go. And the other 10 spies gave a false report, said no, there’s no possible way. These guys are too big. Their cities are too fortified. Their walls go red up to heaven itself. And we might as well just sit here and quit. And obviously the people followed the hearing of that false report and God said, OK, I’ll let you wander here till you die.

I’ll take the next generation to victory into the promised land and Joshua led them in. But okay, we know that all of them were actually saved because again we don’t know. I don’t have the lands we could like but it appears that the Bible hints that that was the case, that all of those that fled were those who had applied the blood. I’ll just give you a verse and you can just think about it for yourself. but in 1 Corinthians chapter 10, it says, more over brethren, 1 Corinthians 10 verse one, more over brethren, I would not, you should be ignorant, that all, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud, and in the sea, and all did all eat the same spiritual meat, and did all drink the same spiritual drink,

for they drank of that spiritual rock that followed them and that rock was Christ seems to me all all all all tells me that all of these people came in a meet with words saved redeemed and they drank notices of that uh… spiritual rock that followed the man that rock was christ but the last month i think that i could uh… and show one six you know they give the reference of of the sons of god uh… if not angels all the other references in the Bible that refers to the sons of God as angels, or can we exclude that?

I think that as a possibility that the sons of God sometimes in Scripture is in reference to the angels of God. That’s a good question and we can exclude it forever. Hebrew… Hebrews 1-5, Gregory says that God never called an angel his son. He never called an angel his son. Now that’s a problem for the Jehovah’s Witnesses because they say that Christ is Michael the Archangel and yet he’s also called the Son of God. He can’t be both. They need to make up their mind and obviously they’ve made the wrong choice because they reject him as God and flesh and they think he’s a created being called Michael the Archangel.

Well obviously they’re terribly wrong. But no, the sons of God there are believers. They were the believers coming together to worship the Lord. It was here on the earth and they came to worship and Satan was observing all of that and God asked Satan wherever you been and he said from roving to and fro throughout the whole earth. and he was here to observe these believers. But then what’s been involved in? Did it not happen in heaven? It did not happen in heaven.

No, it didn’t happen to happen here on the earth. Believers always… There was always a place where believers would meet with the Lord. You know, we find Cain and Abel, for example. They brought an offering to the Lord. That means there was a specific place appointed where they would come to meet and worship the Lord and bring their offering. And throughout the Bible it’s been that way. And since Jesus was here, now we can worship Him wherever we are, because our bodies become his temple, and we can worship Him in spirit and in truth, wherever we are here on this earth in our bodies.

But prior to Calvary, there was a specific place. They would go to Jerusalem, or they went in the wilderness to the tabernacle, or in the case of Job there, they went to a particular place to worship the Lord. Oh, to him. That’s a very insightful answer. I’m going to consider it. I’m so thank you with Dr. Ransom. Thank you so much, Gregory. Gregory Collegan from Miami, Florida. We’re now going to take our next call. But let me just catch one more of these off-air’s.

I’m trying to knock them down. We have Marilyn in Evansville, Indiana. We’re glad to have you folks up there listening on the radio now in Indiana, and she says, what is the difference between conscience and condemnation? Well, your conscience is that part, it’s like an alarm system that God has given you, that will sound an alarm when something isn’t quite right. You know, when you do something wrong, your conscience bothers you. And by the way, the Bible says you can program your conscience to be very sensitive to the things of God.

And you can also, it says in 1st Timothy chapter 4, if you depart from God’s Word and listen to seduce these spirits and doctrines of demons, you can sear your conscience. It says like with a hot iron so that it’s not sensitive, it doesn’t give off any signals. We have a lot of people today that are in the bad doctrine and don’t even know that they’re in bad doctrine because their conscience is not sounding a warning. And there are a number of verses that tell us, watch out, don’t let your conscience become dead to the sensitivity it should have.

The way you keep your conscience alive and working for you is to stay in the Bible. And then when you violate anything that the Bible teaches, that conscience sends a signal. nation of course is the judgment that follows when you don’t listen to your conscience and you don’t listen to scripture and you disobey the word. We’re now going to Tommy in Tampa and Tommy welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Yes sir you just referred to Hebrew chapter 1 verse 5.

That’s right. That’s right. That’s referring only to Jesus Christ, the begotten. They’re only be gotten but as for the angel they were all with sons of God and even if you go to Job 38 there was a time when all and I like you when you said that all is all all the sons of God were worshiping Him where in harmony where in unison and that could only be happening in heaven and that when you when you let me let me just stop you for a moment because Job 38 is not talking about angels.

If you read the context there in the story of Job it’s talking about the stars. It talks about how the stars at the creation sang. Today we know that stars emit sounds as well as light. We have radio telescopes that pick up the sounds from stars in space. And they each have their own unique sounds that they emit. And if you read the verse carefully, it says in Job chapter 38. It says here, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy.

Now, if you read further in the context later in the chapter, it says here in verse 31, canst thou bind the sweet influence of ladies or loose the bands of Orion? This is talking about star systems and constellations. Verse 32 says, can’t stop bring forth Masseroth in his season or can’t stop guide Octoris with his sons. The sons there are the stars in that constellation group. And so the stars sang and these are the sons of different star groups and of different galaxies and they’re around to this 30 days never referring to an angel and I believe that many people have mistaken Job 387 for angels when it’s really talking about the stars themselves sing today we know it’s a scientific fact.

Evil one, evil evil one, it’s really talking about Christ and only Christ that That’s the only big gotten son of God. That’s what God himself and that’s what the difference is. Well, I beg to differ with you. There’s talking about Jesus, of course, being the begotten son of God. But if you notice what it says here, it says unto which of the angels did God say at any time, Thou art my son. That is never happened. God has never, ever, ever called an angel his son.

In fact, if you read Hebrews very carefully, it tells us that we as believers are made higher than the angels. And in 1 John it says, behold, what manner of love the Father of the Son have bought us, that we should be called the sons of God. Angels were never called the sons of God, And the angels in creation were higher than us, but when we get the new birth and are born again, we become higher than the angels.

And the angels will be ministering spirits to us, according to Hebrews chapter 1 in verse 14. They will forever minister to us in heaven were higher than they in position because of the new birth. But God never called an angel his son. We sure thank you for that call. And we’re now going to go to our next caller. And that’s Adam in Denver Colorado. Adam, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year from Denver, Colorado. I do have a question yesterday.

My mother came over and we were discussing the Bible. She had told me that when we die, we’re just sleeping. I know this is a teaching that is this from my aunt that told her and she practices with the way international and i i know in scripture that it says we need to know your absence from the body present with the lord and i also do understand that there is some references about you know jesus saying that you have to come to the little girl is that i are sleeping would you people to explain that to me so i could explain it to her and what we’re talking about here is the body sleeps but the soul does not sleep And the Seventh Adventist teach soul sleep and the way international teaches soul sleep is a bunch of groups that do.

And the Bible talks about the body sleeping until the resurrection. But the soul does not sleep. And it’s clear from Luke 16, beginning in verse 19, to the end, you have two men who die, one saved, one lost. And they’re both conscious. The moment after death, one is in claimant torment in the heart of the earth. And the other is in Paradise, Lazarus the beggar. And they’re both able to recall their past. They’re able, they’re fully aware of the circumstances that surround them, and they’re able to have it in tells the conversation.

And Abraham reminds this man, who was obviously very conscious and very awake, that there was no second chance, that it was unfortunate that he died without Christ, but now he was in Hades and eventually would be cast into hell. So the body sleeps, but the soul doesn’t. And that’s the difference. And so when I die, it is said that my body sleeps and I won’t get a new body until the rapture and that’s when my body is awakened and I get a brand new body which will be with the Lord forever.

But my soul… As you just said a moment ago, is absent from the body, present with the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5, verse 8. What a great verse, 2 Corinthians 5, 8, absent from the body, present with the Lord. And I hope that helps you there. Right, what was this? What was that? Yeah, Luke 16, beginning at verse 19, and you have two men there that are very conscious right after death, and certainly they weren’t asleep. And the soul doesn’t sleep.

But the body does sleep until the resurrection. Thank you so much, Dr. appreciate it. And also, it’s interesting in Psalm 16, it talks about this. David, the prophet said that his body would sleep, but his soul was conscious and the Christ would come for him and he knew that Christ would die and be be buried and rise again from the dead. Then this fascinating passage, we’re not going to Miami again and this time we have Anthony on the line and Anthony welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Oh, Pastor Hank, thank you for those scriptures. I needed those scriptures two weeks ago when I was far into the seventh year of the event. I got to write those things down. what all you think i i just want to mention that i think that was that was beautiful i really usually when you speak of people for years and i believe that’s That’s why Paul wrote what he wrote in Hebrews because even then you know God never called the angels his sons but people that’s what they refer to the angels as but I’m so glad you broke that down pastor Hank.

Yeah. there’s a lot of confusion out there i know some people think that when we die we become angels and that’s another kind of teaching i heard somebody say my husband bob died is he an angel now and no uh… if he’s a if bob was a believer then he’s a son of god but We don’t become angels and angels don’t become men. No, thank you pastor. Hang for that I gotta write those scriptures down you gave But the suffering on those and I’m gonna run to that day.

That’s great. You know, let me just say that The internet is so good you go back and listen to this program again You can go back and you can review it you can stop me back me up pause me fast forward me and you can get it all written down when you have a chance to get near your computer later in the day. I sure will. Thank you for that call from Miami, Florida. Let me give you another, we’ll take another off-air question here.

We have David in St. Petersburg and he said my father would like to know how after someone has trusted in Jesus as Savior that if they stopped trusting in him how they could still be saved. Well Well, it’s interesting that the Bible says that salvation is something that occurs by an act of faith at the moment you trust Christ and it’s irreversible. So once you trust Christ, it’s not by continuous faith. It’s not a continuing process where you keep on keeping on or you keep on believing.

And then if you keep on believing and never cease to believe that you will then be saved, That is not the case. Let me give you a tiny verse in 2 Timothy chapter 2. It says in verse 13, If we believe not, yet God abided faithful, he cannot deny himself. So even if you stop believing, once you become saved, you’re stuck. You have to go to heaven whether you like it or not. Let me go back to John 6, 37.

You always look to the simple verses and interpret difficult verses in the light of those clear ones. In John 637, Jesus said, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. Again no exception clause. It doesn’t say, except you commit suicide or it doesn’t say, except you stop believing or except you stop going to church or except you backslide. It doesn’t say that. Him that cometh to me I will and know why is cast out but even better than that is verse 39 It says this is the Father’s will which has sent me that of all of which have given me I should lose none What if he had said he was gonna lose at the first dozen?

Or just one All of our lives would have to wonder well, maybe you’re the one that he’s gonna lose But if one person were ever lost after they became saved, Jesus would be a liar. But write that verse down 2 Timothy 2 13 Even if you stop believing, my friend, God cannot deny himself. He cannot go back on his promise. He saves you eternally once you trust Christ as your Savior. Thank you for that question. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and this is Bibleline.
