We know that the Bible is the word of God and we’re going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll come back and talk to you about the questions that we’ve been given here off here and also the live colors will talk to them today.

You know the Bible clearly teaches the virgin birth. Isaiah 714 tells us 740 years before Jesus ever came that the Lord Himself would give a sign a virgin would conceive and bear a son and would call his name Immanuel. manual, meaning God dwelling with us. And so the virgin birth is taught throughout the Bible. I believe there’s a veiled reference to it in Genesis 3.15 where it talks about the seed of the woman. The Messiah would one day, of course, bruise the head of Satan.

The ultimate defeat of Satan will come at the hand of the seed of the woman. And the seed is normally passed on through the man. But here it talks about a woman having seed without a man, probably availed reference to the Virgin Birth right there in Genesis chapter 3 in verse 15. Certainly that verse tells us about the two comings of Christ and it’s right there in the third chapter of the book of Genesis. So certainly the story of Christmas and the story of Christ coming into this world was…

you Obviously, planned out long before Bethlehem and the fact that a woman would have seed without a man and that that child that would be born would actually ultimately defeat Satan and bring about peace on earth good will toward men. In Isaiah 9, 6, it says unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and is talking about Jesus. child the flesh was born but the fact that God the eternal son existed from eternity past gave himself by taking on that human flesh at Bethlehem.

Mary is not the mother of God. Mary is the mother of the flesh that God took upon himself. You see God does not have a mother, he doesn’t have a father, he doesn’t have a beginning nor does he have an end, he’s always been and will always be. And so the Bible tells us that the flesh that God took upon himself had a birthday. And that is what we celebrate at Christmas time. The fact that God came and took on flesh that was born of a virgin.

And of course, Mary was the mother of that flesh that God took upon himself. The virgin birth has to be believed. And you know, if you don’t believe the virgin birth, you’re denying scripture. If the virgin birth is not true, then Matthew and Luke were mistaken or stupid fools. Number two, the Bible contains a false account and becomes a book of fiction instead of a book that is infallible and a book of facts that is indeed the word of God.

Thirdly, the doctrine of the infallible inspiration of the Bible breaks down completely. If the virgin birth is not true, then Mary was a liar because she confessed she knew not a man. If the virgin birth is not true, then the Bible is giving us a crude attempt to shield an unfortunate woman from the accusation of adultery. If the virgin birth is not true, all prophecy must fail. For Matthew says all these things were done that the prophecy might be fulfilled when the The prophet Isaiah said he would give a sign and behold a virgin would conceive.

If the virgin birth were not true then Jesus would be a sinner because the sin nature of Adam would have been passed on through Joseph to Jesus and then hence there could be no Savior and we could go on and on and on. But the Bible is quite clear that there was a virgin birth and Isaiah had told us 740 years in advance that a virgin would conceive and bear a son and call his name Emanuell. So Jesus Christ is the virgin born son of God and how wonderful it is to see that record throughout the Bible.

You know if the virgin birth is not true look at what would happen as you read the book of Romans in chapter 1 of the book of Romans. It says here that the gospel of God had been promised by God a forehand by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, Romans 1-2. Verse 3 says concerning His Son, Jesus Christ. Now if the Virgin Earth were not true, this would have to read concerning Joseph’s Son. It wasn’t Joseph’s Son. It was God’s Son.

And here as you read the epistles, clearly it’s implied. again it says here the gospel of God which God promised beforehand by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures concerning his son Jesus Christ. If it was Joseph’s son then it would have to read Joseph’s son but Jesus Christ is father by God himself. John 3 16 tells us this, for God’s soul of the world that he gave his only begotten son, the only human being begotten by God the Father, that God was the Father of that child is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, most people don’t pay attention to John 3.16 and realize that it’s talking about the virgin birth. John 3.16 tells us that God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth as John tells us in chapter 1 of John that God who existed from eternity past the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Again, the virgin birth is everywhere and if you reject the virgin birth, you’re obviously rejecting scripture and obviously if you connect the to dance, what you have is Jesus being simply a man and not the Savior.

You know according to scripture for the Savior to redeem mankind, he would have to be a man, he would have to be a sinless man to pay for the sins of another and in order to make an infinite payment to pay for the sins of the whole human race, he would have to be God. So the Savior. He would have to be a man. He would have to be God. And he would have to be without sin. And you know what the Scriptures foretold that.

And Jesus Christ came and the Scriptures tell us that that is exactly true. Jesus Christ was born of a human mother but not of a human father. So therefore he becomes a man. He is conceived by God and therefore becomes the God-man. As God is the Father of this child and God. himself came in and dwelt this flesh that God brought about through a virgin birth. And he was absolutely without sin had it not been for the virgin birth.

Christ would have been a sinner because the sin nature of Adam would have been passed on to Jesus Christ. And the scripture tells us that all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which is spoken of the Lord by the prophet. I’m reading now from Matthew chapter 1 verse 22, and it says in verse 23, Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel. In the church I was raised in, I never got saved.

I never heard the gospel there. I don’t believe anybody in my church was saved, but they all use the RSB translation. I call it the reversed satanic translation. Actually it’s the revised standard translation. This was done by the National Council of Confusion on the National Council churches, but really better titled the National Council of Confusion. And they attempt in their translation to do away with the virgin birth. In fact in Isaiah 714 it says in the revised standard version a young girl would conceive.

That’s not a sign because young girls conceive and bear children every day. But when a virgin conceives that would be a sign and clearly the Bible teaches the virgin birth. And here Matthew tells us in his record in chapter one verse 22 that the fact that Jesus born of a virgin was the fulfillment of the prophecy and Isaiah that said God would give this sign that a virgin would conceive and bear a son and call his name God dwelling with us.

This child, according to Isaiah 9, 6 would be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father. Should we call up the Jehovah’s Witnesses and let them know that they’ve apparently missed something? The child that was born in Bethlehem is the Mighty God. He’s the Everlasting Father. All of the cults denied the deity of Christ as the witnesses do and certainly they are therefore false witnesses. The Bible record is clear. Jesus Christ is God who took on flesh born of a virgin in Bethlehem.

He grew up and became a man and went to the cross at Calvary in Jerusalem and they’re paid for the sins of the world. You know, the story is one really of Christ’s death, because although the birth is significant, you can celebrate the birth and millions will this year as they do every year, and yet not recognize what happened that would bring about their salvation. You see, you must believe in the death of Christ to be saved. You must believe Christ died and shed his blood, was buried in Rosalghine from the dead to be saved.

That’s the Gospel message. And so you can celebrate the birth and still go to hell. You can celebrate the birth and still be lost. In fact, Satan doesn’t mind if you celebrate the birth of Christ because the center of Christianity is not the birth of Christ, but it’s the death of Christ. The Bible is quite clear that Christ died for our sins. And in order to be saved, you must trust the gospel message that Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead.

This is the message of Christmas and a message that we hope that you’ll be sharing with friends and families at gatherings and use tracks and different tools to make sure that the people across your paths will find out how to have eternal life. If I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom, this is by the line, we would love to hear from you today. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re offering a special Christmas special. Our intent is really to evangelize at this time.

and saw our Christmas special for a $100 donation is 20. The CD is called How Permanent is Your Salvation. This CD has been very effective in leading thousands of people to Christ. There’s a great chance that if you give this CD to someone and they play it, that they will become saved. It just has worked out that way. We’re going to give out 20 free ticket tracks to go along with the How Perms, the handbook on personal vanisysm, a special video that I produced that will be great to use at gatherings.

of the Christmas holidays. Plus some of my articles and if you want to get that special Christmas package, you can call and for a gift of $100, we’ll ship that right out to you. Azerbaijormons will ship that right out to you.

DITBAL Hopefully you can use it to evangelize over the holidays. This is a great opportunity to do that for sure. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Wilburn in Richmond, Virginia, and Wilburn. You’re on the air. Good morning. Jesus was fully God, fully human. My question is, if Jesus’ blood was put under a microscope, would the ex-side of his blood look remarkably different than any other human? than any other human than it ever been. Well, I am not a blood expert or whatever, but I’m not too familiar with what would happen in the microscope.

But the Bible says that his blood was incorruptible blood. So it had not been corrupted by the sin that Adam committed and was not passed down to him. And so his blood was sinless, and he was a sinless man. So I would suspect yes, but I don’t know about what they would see in the microscope. and we can’t do anything about it until we get to heaven and we’ll find out. But definitely the Bible teaches that man, everyone of us and even race had a corruptible birth but Jesus had an incorruptible birth and that his nature is that he is absolutely sinless and he never committed a single act of sin.

The Bible talks about his blood being precious blood. speaking speaks of it is being incorruptible blood and so absolutely right on okay thank you for your answer your welcome wilburn in richmond virginia we have richard in wesley chapel florida and uh… richard welcome to buy more on your own ear good morning for good morning yet i i was You said this morning about that if Joseph had been the natural father of Jesus, then the simple nature of Joseph would have been passed on to Christ.

i believe so yes he would have been a center like the rest of us and and the virgin birth i think god planned this way so that the sin nature would not be passed on. You know the blood type is determined by the father and the baby in the mother’s womb has a completely independent blood system from that of the mother and the blood type of the baby can be different than the blood type of the mother because the baby receives all of its nutrients from the placenta through the umbilical cord and not one drop unless there’s infection of course, not one drop of the mother’s blood ever flows into the baby’s body and its blood system is totally independent and since Christ’s blood was type sinless, it obviously was determined by the Father which was God and obviously his blood was sinless and I believe the

Virgin Birth explains the sinlessness of Christ. That I follow. For instance, I know that the Catholic doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, where Mary was sinless, so that Christ would not receive the sin from her flesh. And then, Of course, I don’t ascribe to that, but it was… I was wondering though when you said the sinful nature, I know that stands from the idea that that the sin exists in the flesh itself. So I was wondering then where does the what is the nature of the relationship between Mary and the child?

Well Mary was simply the host of the child. and the as I said the blood type and the sex is determined by the father and so the child was followed by God therefore he had blood type sinless and the Bible says his blood was incorruptible. So Mary simply was the host and this happens in modern day events too where they can take a cow and it can be a scrub cow and yet they can implant. A baby cow of a different breed, even.

The host, mother, really, and the baby really really have no relationship at all, except she hosted the baby. It’s like a surrogate mother in a sense. Mary was the one that played that role. She was the host of that flesh and the mother of that flesh, but God was the father. the host then of the flesh that that God put in her? Well, I’m sure she brought it in that the Holy Spirit brought about the conception because it does say that, which is conceived in her is conceived in the Holy Spirit.

So definitely he must have impregnated her egg. But again, the baby’s blood and system is totally independent from the mother. So the father determines that and we know that today. So God is the Father and therefore He is without sin. Whereas had Joseph been the Father, He would have been a sinner and we could not have had a Savior. So He got none of Mary’s sinful nature then? That is correct. Okay, all right. And just to be clear, you don’t ascribe, of course, through the idea that…

No, Mary, according to Luke 147, she says, my soul to magnify the Lord and my soul rejoices in God my Savior. So she admits to her need of a Savior and she had the trust in Christ to save her soul. So she obviously was a sinner like everyone else and certainly that’s consistent with scripture where it says all have sinned and that would include Mary except for Jesus. Of course. Thank you very much sir. Alright, you’re very welcome and thank you for that call from Wesley Chapel and now we We have Jim in Tampa, Florida.

Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Jim, you’re on the air. Hello, Jim. I can’t find Jim there. We have a number of off-;;;;;;;; questions, so we’ll go ahead and take those. We’ll go now to Anonymous in Tampa. He says, I asked Jesus into my heart when I was seven and I am saved. Let me just stop right there because you have to trust Christ to be saved. The next sentence says, I first of course trusted him as my Savior, so that’s the answer there.

If that experience was not real, then I must be a fake Christian. Well, if you first trusted Christ, then you became saved, but it wasn’t by inviting Christ into your heart. That certainly is not a scriptural thing at all. nowhere in the Bible where it says you’re to invite Christ in your heart to be saved. The only verse that people really appeal to is the one in Revelation 3.20 where Christ is behold I stand at the door and knock.

But if you read the context, the door is that of the Laodicean Church and the church had left Christ outside their fellowship and he was knocking, asking to come in and have supper with him that speaks of fellowship in the Christian walk and he’s not talking about salvation at all. So he’s talking about coming in and fellowshipping with the believers within the church. And so if you did indeed first trust Christ as your Savior, you were saved. And the asking Jesus in your heart was absolutely a sidebar which was wrong and unscriptural.

And unfortunately a lot of people have been taken down that route. I was taken down that route. In the church I was raised in, we did it every Sunday, the moment of silence where we sang the chorus into my heart, into my heart. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, come into today, come into stay, come into my heart, Lord Jesus, well I did that every Sunday. So between the ages of six and 18, I probably did that 600 times, and yet I was never saved.

It wasn’t until I was 18 that I learned that I had to trust that Jesus died and shed his blood for me in order to be saved. And I got saved in 18, even though I had hundreds of times invited Jesus into my heart. That will never save you. In fact, we’re not saved by asking. We’re saved by trusting what Christ finished for us at the cross. It’s not based upon anything that we do. It’s based upon what He did for us.

When we trust Christ, we’re saved. Mary and Bartow calls in and she leaves this question. She says, please explain Job 1-6 where God calls angels his sons. Well, it doesn’t say anywhere in Job 1-6 that God calls angels his sons. It says there the sons of God came together to worship the Lord. That was here on the earth and the sons of We’ve got our believers. In Hebrews 1-5, write it down Mary, God said He never called an angel His Son ever.

So that answers the question forever. God never ever called an angel His Son. And so the sons of God and Job 1 are believers, including Job’s own sons, who came together to worship the Lord, and the scene was on the earth, and there are no angels there in that verse. No word is the word angel appear there at all. So there are no angels there. We now have Jim, he’s ready and we have him and he’s in Tampa, Florida.

Jim, you’re on the air. Turn your radio down. Okay. You have a question and we have to go quick because we’re coming up on the break. Okay. What is your question? I explained her and I really don’t think she’s safe. She was talking about I think he will he or she will burn forever that the hell the fire will burn forever I was trying to find that in the Bible. I couldn’t find it All right Well revelation 14 tells us that the smoke of their torment will ascend up forever and ever They’ll have no rest day nor night those that are cast into hell We’ve got to go to break and we’ll come back and talk more about this one to get back So keep your dial tuned right here to my mind and we’ll be right back Go away Bibleline will be back in a moment.

To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Anglister and this is Bibleline and it’s great to be with you. Thanks for tuning in. It’s Christmas time. Would you consider giving a special Christmas gift to Bibleline here at Christmas time? A lot of people make shopping lists, and usually Jesus doesn’t even get on the list. Yet it’s his birthday, and truly the wise men were wise, they gave all their gifts to Christ.

Have you considered giving a gift to Christ this year, and maybe you could consider giving a gift to Beibeline as a way of giving a gift to Jesus here at Christmas time. Include us on that shopping list. As you give a gift to Christ, give it to Beibeline, you can do it by mail, you can do by credit card over the phone. You can call our operators and have them send you an envelope with our address on it. Consider putting Christ on the shopping list and maybe use Bibleline as a way of giving to Christ this Christmas by giving us a Christmas gift here at Bibleline to be used for our ministry expenses.

Again, I don’t get paid nor does our staff, we are lean, all of our contributions goFortunately getting out of the gospel and we’re reaching out all over the world. In fact, we had good news. We heard just the other day that our television programs On the internet, if you go on my internet site and view them, we had 10,000 people viewing our TV programs on the internet. We haven’t been on that long and so we’re just excited. 1,600 downloaded our television programs for their video iPods.

And so we’re excited about how God is blessing in using Bibleline radio and television. And we thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to the Bible. We really couldn’t be on the air without your help. God bless you and thank you in advance. We have this 20, rather this Christmas special for a $100 donation, 20 How Perms, which is the How Permanent is Your Salvation TV CD rather. And it has been effective in leading thousands of Christ.

It really does work. And if you get someone to listen to that CD, the chances of them trusting the Lord are great. Also, we will send you 20 pre-ticket tracks to go along with that. Also the handbook on personal evangelism, a special Salvation DVD video. You can use it at Gatheries Over the Holidays. It’s just a 7 minute video presentation. And if you can just get your family together around the TV, put this DVD in and play it for seven minutes, a good way to bring Christ into your Christmas celebration and give the gospel and an invitation to trust Christ right there to your family.

And we’re excited about helping equip you to evangelize. And so for that Christmas special, a hundred dollar donation will send all of you that, all of the material we mentioned about a hundred and fifty dollar value. value. We’re going to go back to the phone lines now and we have a number of people calling in. We have Mary patiently waiting in Spring Hill and Mary, your first up. You’re welcome. You’re on the line. Hi, Pastor Hank. I was calling the guy that keeps calling in about Pharaoh and he would have been saved.

He should read Romans 9, 14 to 21. And it says, who are we to reply against God because he formed us so he knows us. Well, you’re absolutely right. That’s a great passage. I mean, God is the potter and we’re the clay and he has every right to make whatever choice he wants. But I believe that God doesn’t want any to perish according to 2 Peter 3 and that Pharaoh really hardened his own heart as far as the gospel is concerned.

But when you read the scripture carefully back in Acts it has got hard in his heart that he wouldn’t let the children Israel go because he wanted to demonstrate to the world and to the people of Egypt that he was the true and living God and that he was the only Redeemer, the only Savior. But in this Romans it even mentions Pharaoh. Oh yeah, it sure does. I’m glad you shared it and I hope that Gary, who is the fellow that called in with that question, would be listening in here, that and look that up.

Okay, I just wanted to share that because it’s like he was arguing with God. How dare you do this? Amen. Thank you, Mary. All right. All right. That was Mary and excellent contribution there. We have grace in Sun City, Center Florida and grace. Welcome to the Bible on your own year. Thank you. Good morning. Dr. Lindstom, I heard you say many times that heaven is such a wonderful place and we all be very happy. But I’m studying Revelation in Revelation 6 9.

I read that the Martyrs of the Tribulation Period are under the altar crying out to God. God when when when when you’re gonna venture blood that doesn’t seem a very happy place to me to be Under the altar crying out. Can you have an explanation for that? Well, it’s very temporary there. It’s it’s actually during the tribulation period and and the Lord will obviously come back at the second coming at the in that seven year period and take vengeance on the unsaved and those that have martyred all those Christians, including the Antichrist will be defeated.

So there is going to be some tears in heaven at the very beginning. It’s not until after the thousand year reign of Christ and we see the new heavens and the new earth that it says in Revelation 21 verse for that God comes over and wipes the tears from our eyes. So for a short period at least, and right on up till the New Heavens and New Earth, which is after the thousand-year reign of Christ, there will apparently be some tears.

And we’ll probably have some regrets ourselves about not living for the Lord as much as we could have. And then God will, I think, wipe away those tears and He’s going to remove the former things from our memories that would cause pain and sorrow and there’ll be no more sorrow and there’ll be no more pain and no more sickness, no more death, no more anything that would be sorrowful in heaven. Okay. Okay. That explains it. Thank you, Grace. Thank you, Doctor.

Alright, that was Grace in Sun City Center and apparently for a short time there will be some tears and but they’ll all be washed away. We have Off-Air Herbie in Tampa, Florida. He says please give your view on music in general and all styles such as jazz, rock, and the biblical view of the topic. I think that the key thing in music is of course the words. A lot of the music today, he can’t even understand the words. I don’t have a clue what they’re saying in some of these songs.

I think you’d have to really slow them down for me. But also a lot of the words today in many songs are absolutely filthy, blasphemous and advocate killing, raping, and everything else. Obviously, definitely on the biblical side. I reject all kind of music like that. But also, I feel like if as Christians, we ought to be. Listing to music that would be uplifting. You know in flippings for it says that whatever things are true, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are good report, these are the things we should be thinking on.

And music will kind of capture our thoughts. And if our thoughts are misled by the music then I think we need to get rid of that music. So I think we have to be careful what we listen to. I think that you can have styles of music that you might like, but don’t forget that your mind is to be guarded, the Bible says, and what we put into our minds is what will impact our lives, and so we need to be careful what we program our minds with.

The Bible says that the wise or happy Christian is the one that meditates in God’s Word day day and night. So if we have songs that reinforce biblical themes and biblical truths, then certainly that would most likely be the best kind of music to help us be able to fulfill what it says there in Psalms 1 about how to be happy, how to be prosperous, how to have God’s blessing is to keep our minds focused on heavenly things and our music can influence us that way in a great way.

We have Edgar in Petersburg, Virginia and Edgar welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Hey, what’s going on, Dr. Hank? I want to know where for is the New Testament to scribe in Greek rather than Hebrew. That’s a great… That’s a great question. And during the reason why is because at the time of Christ, the Greek language was pervasive throughout the world and that was the language of the time. The Jewish people of course in bringing us the Old Testament spoke Hebrew and the Old Testament was written in Hebrew.

When Christ came along, Alexander the Great had spread his Greek culture from around 300 years before Christ throughout the known world. So, the Old Testament Hebrew Bible even had to be translated into Greek so people could read it and the translation was called the Septuagint translation and that was used in the time of Christ and the language of the world in that time was Greek. So that’s why the New Testament is written in the language of the people, the language of the people in that time was Greek.

Okay so Hellenization? So that’s something else later. Helen was the wife of Constantine and she lived around four centuries after Christ. So not the same thing. Okay, Dr. Hanger also wanted to avert the listeners that the Jameson, Fawcett Brown, and the Jay Vernon McGhee commentaries that are on the blue letter Bible page and the online resources heading under Bible search on the Bibleline. and it can be found in the list of of just the Jameson Folsom Brown, Comitaries or any other Comitaries that can go online.

And we sure can. We have it on our website and those are the two that I really recommend. And thank you, Edgar. Those are good to have in your library and also a great gift to give to somebody here at Christmas time. Melody in Tampa, Forta calls in and she says, are we still under the law? And the answer is no. You can read Roman 678. We’re certainly not any longer under the law. She says, do we have to still tithe?

And the answer is no, the tithe was under the law, but we are to still give. And as somebody once said, should we give less under grace than we gave under the law or under the tithe? If you read 2 Corinthians 9, 8, it says, God loves the cheerful giver, and that we’re each to give according as God has prospered us and to make a purposeful decision as to as to what we’re going to give. So we need to sit down on the side and somebody said maybe we ought to give 10.5 percent.

But we’re not under the law. We are to do it from the heart, not because of the necessity or the need the Bible says, but because we love the Lord and want to invest in eternity. Alright, we have Jim in Lakeland, Florida and he says I’m still confused about Hanukkah and the date that Jesus appeared, could you explain? And Hanukkah by the way is this Saturday. Jewish people will begin to celebrate it this Friday evening, the 15th of December, and they’ll celebrate for eight days.

And Hanukkah occurred in 165 BC. When the temple in Jerusalem was rededicated and the menorah was lighted with one day’s oil, it stayed lighted for eight days. Now every year after that they celebrated the dedication of the temple. That’s another name for Hanukkah. It’s also called the festival of lights. And in around 80, 29 or so, Jesus walks into the temple on the celebration day of Hanukkah. And this is now almost 200 years later. And he’s the one for whom the temple was built.

And they were celebrating the rededication of that temple that was built for Jesus, who’s God. And so when he comes into the temple on that date, they reject him. And so Hanukkah is all about Christ, the temple that was built for him. He’s God who would come and dwell in that temple. And he was rejected. And of course then Christ predicted that the temple would be destroyed. And it hasn’t existed now for two thousand years. So hopefully Jim that helps.

And Hanukkah is coming up this weekend. I tell people happy Hanukkah. It’s all about Jesus. Jesus makes His claims on Hanukkah. If you read John 10, beginning in verse 22, the crowd of Jews, the leadership of Israel, came around Jesus when He came into the temple on Hanukkah and they said, how long do you make us to doubt? If you are the Christ, the Messiah, tell us plainly. And Christ said, I’ve told you and you believe me not. And He laid out His claims and when He told them he was God.

They picked up stones to stone him and they said, for good work we stoned the knot, but for blasphemy because you’re a man claiming that you’re God. And so that’s it. And I hope that helps clarify it. But Hanukkah was the rededication of the temple being celebrated every year and when Christ came almost 200 years later, he comes and enters the temple on that celebration day and they rejected we have henry in st peter’sburg and henry welcome to bible on your own morning so how you don’t do it i have a question that my wife actually could use planer whether the dot who’s later represent in the revelation of the great court alright that’ll be the one world church of the tribulation period if you read the chapter carefully It says that the woman is not only a religious system, but it is a city.

And then it says the city is in verse 9 built upon seven hills. Almost all commentators recognize that to be Rome. So we believe it is the world church that will be headed up from Rome that will be the great whore. And this is a system that is called here the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman. And there’s only one church system that I know of in the world that exalts a woman to the top and that is Roman Catholicism.

Mary is prayed to, adored and worship and is kicked right to the top of the totem pole, whereas in every other religion women are trampled upon, especially in Islam, but in other religions as well women don’t fare too well. But in Roman Catholicism Mary is placed right up there next to Jesus. They in fact call her the co-redemptress that she shared equally in our redemption. And she is the wife of the Holy Spirit. She is the queen of the universe and the queen of heaven and many other titles that are pagan and have nothing to do with Christianity.

So I believe it’s the Roman Catholic Church. Okay, I have one other question and I go off to our distance. Could you explain to her about the meaning of Jesus when he was born, what day do they think he was born on? Because of stuff I think it’s like September or either October. She want to know why there’s so many religion skills to celebrate Christmas. Well what happened was in 321 AD Constantine declared the world to be Christian. .

. . . . . . The pagan celebrations were already going on, and Baal’s birthday was celebrated at the Winter Solstice on December 25th. All of a sudden when Christianity was declared to be the world religion, they simply changed the names, and the birthday to Baal now becomes the birthday of Christ. and the pagan means of celebrating it were included in the Christianity. If you read Jeremiah chapter 10, it tells us that they would go out and cut a perfectly good tree out of the forest and take it home, nail it down and decorate it with silver and gold.

That was the way they would celebrate Bales’ birthday in the winter. And again, we believe Christ was probably born in October, probably on the Feast of Tabernacles, which we believe is speaks of Christ’s tabernacleing God in a human body here on the earth. And I think John might be hinting that in John 1-14 when he says, and the word that is God was made flesh and dwelt. dwalt there means to tabernacle and perhaps a veiled reference to the fact that he came at the time of the feast of tabernacles which is generally around October sometime.

So that’s when Christ was born. If you go to my internet site and you look at the archives of my radio messages, we also have some sermons. I have a message there that you can listen to on what I believe is the true birth date of Christ. And so you might take advantage of the internet to do that. Okay, thank you, sir. You’re so welcome. And we have a lot of more callers here. We’ll try to get to them as many as we can.

We have Madeline in Bradenton, Florida and Madeline, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Oh, good morning, to hang out every day. I’ve got a question for you and the person I called in just before we were talking about this is a question. The Jews expecting a king. Were they not a man, as Isaiah proclaimed Jesus coming as a man? Are there any biblical verse or belief that a king is coming? Not a man. Oh absolutely. Well he was of course a man but he was a The God-man, but he was also a king.

The problem was that the Jews missed the fact that the Bible had predicted two comings. The first coming, Christ would come as a suffering Messiah, and the second time he would come as a glorious king and liberate them from all other oppressors and become their king and the king over the whole earth. When you read the prophecies about the suffering of the Messiah, they didn’t want to seem to believe those or accept them. But if you read Luke 24, Jesus says, O fools, in slow of heart, to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

And He tells how that the Christ would have to come first to suffer, then He would come in all of His glory as a king. So there are two comings, and clearly they rejected Him as first because they were expecting that king and they wanted to be not under the Roman authority. They hated Rome and they were hoping somebody would come and deliver them from the tyranny of Rome and set them free and they rejected Christ who came as a suffering Messiah on his first coming.

More to be said in Revelation? Well yes, the book of Revelation is talking about his second coming and how that’s still ahead and he’ll come back as a king and he’ll rule over the whole earth as king of kings and lord of lords and if you read Revelation 19 in particular it describes his coming out of heaven to become that king over the earth. Another question that came to that, to Pastor Hank, are some Jewish people, my sister is, we grew up Catholic, I called till last week, and she is now Jewish, and I don’t know how I haven’t seen her hurt for quite a while, I haven’t got a caller.

And, um, do they? to say, not believe in the New Testament and they’re waiting for him to come as a king only in the circulation period. Well, you know, many Jewish people today aren’t waiting for anything. They just seem to be quite secular and are not really believing their own scriptures. But truly he is coming and he will come as a king, whether they believe it or not. But there will be a remnant. After the rapture, many, many millions of Jews will get saved and they will receive Christ as king when he comes the second time and he’ll establish his kingdom.

on the earth when he comes and they’ll be included. If they don’t, is there any place in there that says Jesus is and a king? Absolutely sure. And if you read Isaiah 53, the whole chapter is written 700 years before Christ came and tells about his birth and his life and how he was crucified to pay for our sins, how he was tried and didn’t defend himself and how he was killed to pay for the sins of the world and how he came back from the dead and so on.

It’s a marvelous chapter. Just look up that 53rd chapter of Isaiah. Thank you. You’re very welcome. Merry Christmas to you. We are getting here toward the end of the program and we’re going to have to run. So I hope you’ll join us again tomorrow and join us each and every day of the week as you can.
