And we hope you’ll give us a call. Alright, if you’re ready for the Bible we’re going to get into it right now and it’s amazing how The wonderful story of Christ begins long ago way back in the Old Testament.

The Psalms are loaded with Messianic Psalms, Psalms about the Messiah and how the Messiah would come of a virgin born in the city of Bethlehem. And so many things are predicted, especially the details around the crucifixion. Hundreds of prophecies. In fact, there are a bunch of things that are in the Bible. about 330 detailed prophecies about the first coming of Jesus, all fulfilled literally and many, many more that are still to be fulfilled at the second coming of Christ.

When you think about the probability of that taking place, it’s not impossible, but yet it happened and that proves and demonstrates that the Bibles of the Word have gotten that Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah. You know, if you gave each of those 330 prophecies a one chance in 10 probability, you would have a probability of one chance in 10 to the 330th power. That’s a phenomenal number. Can you imagine writing a one and then 330 zeros following? 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, even to say 330 zeros is laborious.

Well, that’s the kind of odds, and Jesus fulfilled every one of those prophecies to the letter. That’s why I believe the Bible’s the Word of God. I was amazed to see that in Psalm 22, a thousand years before Jesus ever came, it told how Christ his hands and his feet would be pierced. Isn’t that amazing? A reference to crucifixion when basically crucifixion was unheard of at that time when the prophet David wrote. This of course was fulfilled when the Romans came and were in charge of the world.

They invented crucifixion and Christ was crucified. It even tells us in Psalm 22 that they would gamble for the cloak of Christ at his feet And all of these things happen. The fact that Christ was thirst on the cross foretold back in the Old Testament Psalms. The fact that he would not have a bone in his body broken. Whereas they broke the bones of the two thieves that were crucified with Christ. They came to Christ and did not break a bone in his body.

And the scripture was fulfilled. That not a bone in the Messiah’s body would be broken. Isn’t that amazing? These are amazing things and of course Isaiah 53 tells the story of the crucifixion, the substitution, the death of Christ, how Christ was silent before his accusers, how he would die being cut off out of the land of the living and that God would be satisfied with his death as he sacrificed for your sins and mind. He actually describes there in Isaiah 53 5 that he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.

It’s amazing because here it talks about Christ substituting himself in our place, paying our sin debt by his death and shed blood about 740 years before he ever came. It happened literally just as the Bible described and those that would have knowledge of Christ and trust Him as their Savior, the Bible says would be justified or saved as God would save all those that would put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior. It’s exciting and that’s why I believe the Bible is the word of God.

I never got any of this in Sunday school or in church when I was a little boy. I never really got any answers at all that were satisfying to my questioning. I remember asking questions and adults would pat me on the head and say, well, one day, you’ll understand. or one day when you get older you’ll find the answers. And I really was very, very discouraged. And in fact I was ready to go another direction with my life. I had let science become my God because obviously the church did not introduce me to the living God, the God of the universe who chose to come to the earth.

Christmas is when we remember that coming, where he took on flesh as a baby in Bethlehem, and then grew up as a child and became a man and went to the cross and shed his blood. To pay for the sins of the world as God’s lamb, as the sinless lamb of God. From the beginning pages of Genesis, it talked about a blood sacrifice being necessary. And it says in Hebrews 10, 22, without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin.

So no one, no one. No one can interheaven apart from trusting Jesus as their Savior. And obviously, if you have not done so, you’re in trouble. Because if you should die without Christ as your Savior, having trusted Him and Him alone is the only means of you getting to heaven, you will not go to heaven. That’s scary. Why am I ever so glad I heard this message when I was 18 and trusted Christ? I wish I had not heard it earlier and had I, I’m sure I would have trusted Christ because I just never heard it.

I never heard the wonderful gospel news of the death barrel and resurrection of Christ. Now I knew he died and I knew he was buried and I knew he came back from the dead. But what I mean is I never heard that I had to trust Christ as the means of my salvation. I was told that he did all those things, but I had to work my way to heaven, which is not true. Salvation is according to the Bible, not of works.

List any man should boast or brag. And it says it throughout the Bible, very clear. In Ephesians 2-9 it says it’s not of works, as any man should boast or brag. Nobody is able to say, well, I deserve the good of heaven. Look at all the wonderful things I’ve done. Well, if you attempt to do that, obviously, you are on the wrong path because you’re trusting in yourself to get you to heaven. You become the Savior. Your works are what will gain your entrance.

But the Bible says, no such thing is possible. It says it’s not a force. Unless any man should boast or brag. I’m Dr. Anchlin Strom. I hope you’ve trusted Christ and his blood as the only means of your salvation. And if you have, you are saved forever from that moment on. We’re going to go to the phone lines here. And if you want to call us, the number is 1-800-576-3771. And we’re going to go first to Tom up in Richmond, Virginia.

And Tom, welcome to my one. Morning Hank. Happy New Year. Same to you. I’ve got a question for you about it’s an Exodus chapter 20 and Chapter 20 You know, we get so used to watching the Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston and everything, and we get bad ideas in our heads. Chapter 20 appears to me that, chapter 19 and verse 24 and 25 Moses comes down the mountain. He’s actually standing in front of the people of Israel in chapter 20 when God is actually giving verbal Ten Commandments at this point.

So I was just looking at this thinking, is that… is that what’s happening here well he he went down and it says here uh… so moses went down under the people and spake into them and god uh… spake all these words saying i am the lord thy god and so uh… yeah the lord uh… here spoke through moses to the people in the lord here uh… had moses related the people what he had said and here the Ten Commandments are enumerated here for you.

But no doubt about it, the Mount Sinai experience was really exciting because the mountain trembled and shook and it was lightning at the top. Nobody was allowed to go near the mountain nor ascend and if they didn’t, they would be killed because apparently anybody that approached would die. So they had to stand far off. So it says here in verse 21, and the people stood far off and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. So God was revealed, but he was inside the darkness and only Moses actually went into the cloud to where God was.

He’s not before, but as I’ve been reading this though, it does say that he spoke these words to the people and when it says that they moved and stood far off and it says they removed. So apparently, I mean the way… Not through Moses, but they saw all this. He actually gave these 10 commandments. Well, after this, he went up and actually had the finger of God right on the tablet. So they hadn’t even written yet. Well, look here at verse 18.

It says here, in all the people saw the thunderings and the lightnings and the noise of the trumpet and the mountains smoking. And when the people saw it, they removed and stood afar off. And they said in the Moses, speak thou. with us and we will hear but let not God speak with us lest we die so they were scared to death wouldn’t they be scared because they were actually hearing God speak from the top of the mountain down to them very possibly so and uh…

but if they were hearing i think a lot of lightning and a lot of uh… smoke and lightning and things were going on here and they heard the thunder and scared of the site in one god to speak directly to mass Moses also got a saying that i think that they said that you do we’re right it’s interesting that we get the real replay and have it one day i’ll be signing and and and take a look at the wrong before ten when you get a chance because i think it’s back and i think i’m here my words and the lord’s bank on to use speaking like i said i mean i’ve been so sidetracked by you know watching the ten commandments i just that possible it could be a possibility that he actually spoke a good point thank you for sharing our with us today tom

short thing you have a good idea and every day you that was common richmond virginia sometimes only get into the bible for ourselves to discover whoops it’s not quite the way we had imagined it was we’re now going to go to rick in lootslord and rick welcome the bible and you’re on here uh… that may have you do it as far as good Okay, I wanted to ask you a quick question on earrings. Sometimes, you know, kids, they decide they want to get earrings and stuff like that.

I’m going to hang up and just, you know, if you can give me some scripture or European, you know, I appreciate it. All right. Well, you know, it’s interesting in Leviticus 1928, you might want to mark this verse down. It talks about how we’re not to have any body piercings, nor are we to print any marks on our body. So that pretty much, unless you have a clip on your ring, We are not really supposed to cut our bodies.

It says here in Leviticus 19, 28, you shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the Lord. Probably tattoos are equally wrong. I think the Bible is very clear that God created us and that our bodies, if you are a believer, his temple that he dwells in and he certainly doesn’t want us to to mar them or to face them or paint graffiti on them. But today we have a real lately, anyway, upsurge of tattooing and body piercings.

And I remember as a little boy you hardly ever saw much of that. But if you looked in the National Geographic magazine, you saw the pagans in different parts of the world that lived in the jungle, painting their bodies and putting marks on their bodies and having the big nose rings and ear rings and also piercing through their eyebrows and nose and wow, well I’m seeing it all now and I’m all. I think we have become very pagan and very secular and I think God has really opposed to that.

So if you haven’t done it yet, these are good words of preventive medicine, you might say, where God says, hey, don’t mess up the body that I created for you. Don’t print marks on it and don’t make anybody cut things in it. So that’s what I believe it’s really saying and I think we should not do that. We have now James in Clearwater Florida and James, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi, yes, Dr. Hank. My question is, I’ve heard it taught a lot and I don’t know what you’re teaching on this is, but just taking communion in an unworthy manner, does that apply to an unbeliever?

The reason I’m asking is because Jesus didn’t seem to discourage Judas from taking communion when he first initiated it. Yes he did. Judas was expelled from the room before he instituted the Lord of Supper. Judas was not there. It was Christ with the remaining eleven. While they were having the Passover Supper, he identified Judas and he said, Now go and do what you are going to do quickly and he dismissed Judas and he left. And then with the remaining eleven he instituted the Lord of Supper.

So Judas was not there. Read John chapter 13 and you’ll see that Christ basically said, I want you out of here. So he identified him and said, go what you’re going to do quickly and leave. And then with the remaining 11 you’ll see that he instituted Lord Supper. Okay, I was under the impression that the communion took place first and then he left. No. So, Judas has gone and so it really is a good indication. I’m glad you brought it up that only believers should be present and Sometimes that’s difficult We the way we do that we have it once a Month at our church and we do it on a Sunday morning prior to the morning worship and generally The visitors who come that might be unsaved Usually come to the service and then when you have the Lord suffer before that generally speaking

you don’t catch the visitors of the unsaved coming into the Lord of Supper. So we try to do it that way so that we have the believers coming early and being there for the Lord of Supper. And then when the visitors come visiting during the worship service, they’re not really included. And we don’t have to embarrass them and say, you can’t take of this, but really it’s not for unbelievers. Okay, thank you very much. Alright, thank you for calling.

That was Jim in Clearwater. We have now David in St. Petersburg and David welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Yes, I was watching two things in the mind of me that was talking to another priest. I’m a priest on a talk show on the TV. I was just going through cable channels. I think it’s talking about how deficient people are who don’t understand Mother of God and no prey or no rosary and don’t understand her part of the trend, you know, just on and on and on.

And then it takes me back to another show, this is my main question, another show I’ve watched some questions and answers to Catholic leaders. How come they’ve been there? Their excuse for all this stuff is, well, the Bible doesn’t say you can’t do everything The radio is not a radio store, but it doesn’t cover cell phones and all that using it in an elevator. It doesn’t cover a lot of things like that. How is it that these people never subject themselves on the radio or call in or TV to any questions that are contrary to what’s already within their face?

faith. You know, they never, you take it right on the chin, you take anybody all called, I can’t believe what they’re saying. First off, well, I’m not a Catholic, I understand that, but I can’t understand it. There’s never any critical thinking. I’ll go to your Catholic church. I’ll listen to an hour or for every minute you listen to any and they won’t do it. Hold on a second here. We have to say goodbye to of those folks down in Miami that are listening on 1080 on the AM dial and say happy new year to you as we leave the Miami group a little bit early before other stations so happy new year we’ll catch you again on Wednesday live.

So I’m back to you and the reason why is the Roman Catholic Church doesn’t allow you to question what they do. There’s a group in Rome called the Magisterium and those are basically the infallible interpreters of the Bible. And of course, even though what they say doesn’t match up with the scriptures, they are the ones that pronounce the beliefs of the Church and the Church has to conform and every priest has to conform to that teaching. And so you basically are going to hit your head against the wall.

You’re not going to make any progress because no one in the Catholic Church nor outside the Church has the authority to change the teachings only the magisterium in Rome. and they’re not going anywhere, but they constantly are changing though, but usually again in the area of traditions and things that again many of which are contrary to the Bible. Did they just recently have a Vatican to the Catholic, but he was more The Bibleline was a Vatican I and Vatican II dramatically changed the whole bunch the way the Catholics believed about a lot of things like a lot of states, art states, and more, you know, all those people that wish their their time praying to Christophora and all those other states.

They’re no longer saying anymore. and St. Nick, he’s just playing Nick now. They’ve been saying it to him too. So their system is really flawed because biblical saints are those that are believers and you can’t become unsainted. Once you become a believer and you become made a saint as God makes people saints the moment they believe because they’re cleansed of their sin. Well, it’s been fun being with you for this first half hour and we’re going to come back into a second half hour We’ve got to go to break here, so we want you to continue to listen.

And by the way, if you haven’t helped Bibleline this year, it’s not too late to call us and give a gift by credit card or mail a gift in to Bibleline. Give us a call. And we’ll be back in just a minute to do a second half hour of Bibleline. Don’t go away, Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well Dr. Englund, it’s great to be with you on this last day.

We just got an email here, I mentioned that earlier in the program from Singapore and we had one last week also from the United Arab Emirates from the City of Dubai.

So it’s amazing, we’re getting people all over the world that are listening and They’re writing to us and sounds like he’s an old friend here from Singapore. Dear Dr. Hank, I’ve discovered your website at Bible and I considered a blessing and writes much more than that. But that’s kind of the idea and we’re excited about how people in Europe and the Middle East and in Africa and Asia and Australia and South America, Central America and North America are catching Bibleline by way of the internet.

Tell your friends, would you? You might have friends overseas, and maybe they don’t know about Bibleline. And if you have missionaries overseas, would you tell them? They might find it refreshing to hear Bibleline back here in the States and the message that we bring. And by the way, they can ask questions too, because if you go to our radio page on our website, There’s a place they’re all set up to go where you just type in your question and put your first name in city and hit submit and boom we get it at the speed of light and we will be able to answer that off air question from anywhere in the world.

So tell your friends that they can really participate in real time with us here when we go live or listen anytime at their convenience. We sure want to wish you a happy new year. I hope you have a safe day tomorrow as we celebrate the brand new year. We hope that you’ll continue to listen to the Bible and as we crank up a brand new year and we will obviously look forward to having you call and you listen and you be a …

you being a partner with us. By the way, we are listeners supported. If you want to help us, it’s not too late to help us out here for the year 2000. And so if you want to call in, you can give a gift by credit card over the phone. And you can also, of course, mail a gift into Bible and then, of course, our resource center is available. You can call and order anything that might be helpful to you.

And also, of course, order off of the online bookstore at our website BibleLineMinistries.org. Well here we go, we’re going to do the second half hour of Bible on. Would you like to help Bible on continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible on and it’s great to be with you you on this last day of the year.

Isn’t that amazing? Here we are the whole year just flown . . by at least for me. It’s gone so quickly. And we hope that you will join us for this coming . . year. Who knows? The Lord might come back this year. Wouldn’t that be something? And truly . . that’s a possibility. I’m not a date-setter, but I know Christ is coming. Anyway, we are .

. excited about the new year. And if you want to help us close out the year, you could call . and give a gift today to Bible, and that would really help us out. We could use your help to make sure that we don’t have any dangling bills from your… We’d like to get all that cleared up. Your gift would be greatly appreciated, and we want to thank you in advance for your prayers, and for your gifts toward Bibleline that enable us to do what we’re doing.

Thank God for all of you, and we mean that sincerely. We’re going to go back to David that has been holding on the line here and we began a discussion with him a little bit earlier and he was talking about his Roman Catholic friends and how the programs on TV don’t allow really for a real examination of the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. David, welcome back to the program and maybe David is not there. Let me that but again and David are you there I don’t hear David so we’re gonna go ahead and go to another color we’ll go now to Robert in Bradenton Robert welcome the Bible on your own there.

Brother God bless you can someone be baptized in the name of Jesus but not I have the Holy Spirit and I can explain about Act 8, 15 through 17 and I’ll hang up so I can listen. I have to know you. Okay. Well, you can certainly be water baptized and not be saved. I was sprinkled as an infant, my mother tells me, and I wasn’t saved. I was 18 and once I got saved, then I was baptized by a immersion as a testimony of my salvation that I was cleansed by sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

And you’re saved when you trust Christ, but water baptism is not necessary for your salvation, but is a wonderful public testimony of your being saved by the blood of Jesus, by being cleansed by the blood of Christ. I’m turning down to the book of Acts and we’ll take a look at the passage you had in mind and again we want to thank you Robert for calling in today. Happy New Year to all of our listeners. Acts chapter 8 beginning in verse 15.

Here it talks about the people at Samaria that had apparently heard the preaching of Philip, but when Peter and John arrived, they discovered that these people, I believe, were not saved. You’ll notice the key thing, I think, is in verse 12. It says, when they believed Philip, here it doesn’t say they believed or trusted in Christ, which is so typical of those who become saved. But what we have here is a contrast between a sorcerer, magician named Simon and…

Philip did more incredible miracles than Simon had done. So now they thought they had a new miracle worker in town, and they believed Philip was a better miracle worker than Simon was. So I don’t think they ever got saved. And so when Peter and John arrived, they discovered apparently that these people did not have the Holy Spirit. According to Romans 8.9, if you don’t have the Holy Spirit, you’re not saved. So it says here, they had not received the Holy Spirit, and we find it says that while apparently they laid hands on them, they received the Holy Spirit.

And I don’t believe the laying on of the hands gave them the Holy Spirit, but I do believe that while Peter and John explained the gospel and as they embraced as we see many times in the Middle Eastern world, the people do embrace and they laid hands on them. All these words here are such that I think 15, 16, 17 are all simultaneous and while they had laid their hands on them and prayed for them, they understood apparently and trusted Christ and received the Holy Spirit.

And of course Simon the Sorcerer misunderstood what he saw and he thought that the gift of the Holy Spirit was given by laying on the Apostles’ hands. And he was mistaken. That is not what happened. And he offered the money so he could get the same gift to do that. Peter said thy money perish with thee because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. So you couldn’t buy the Holy Spirit, you couldn’t buy salvation, and Simon got a totally wrong idea here.

But basically Philip preached and they received him as being a miracle worker but didn’t really trust Christ and Savior. Peter and John, having the gift of discernment, saw that they did not have the Holy Spirit. And then I think completed the deal. I’ve had that happen many times in witnessing the people that claimed they were saved. And all of a sudden I just connected a few dots for them and things clicked in their mind and they got saved, which is really wonderful.

Okay, I hope that helps. And we’re now going to go to David. He apparently wasn’t there when I went to look for him last time, but apparently David is back david welcome to my one well i think i thought listening to a well they knew nine in a little I was a patient increasing in Florida and they were talking about how the Catholics are on hand trying to get them, you know, converted over their side in the Protestants, and they narrowed it down to Pentecostal.

You know, like, you know, lose your salvation, Protestants. Mainly that’s what they are. Mike. my experience and then it did dawn on me that though the catholic when they reach out they don’t do it on the radio because they never take any questions that i don’t think it from someone that doesn’t already believe they’re catholic except like differences like that i’ve never ever go question the close ever got was something that the person’s not like a Catholic, it’s just that, uh, what’s well the Bible doesn’t say you can’t do this, you can’t do that.

And that’s where they get all the doctrine like Mary is the mother of Jesus. So that means she’s the mother of God. And my question is, well, how about the, well, Mary’s the mother of God, or then what’s Mary’s mother? You know, Jesus is grandmother. I mean, if you’re going to take that logic, if you want to call it logic, we’re great-great-greating mother. I mean, I mean, that should make Mary like a stepchild to marry to Jesus’ grandmother. Well, what, what has happened in the Roman Catholic churches?

They really, untied their anchors to the Bible and they have allowed tradition to come into the church which they hold equal to or higher in authority than the Bible. And you have to watch out for that in Matthew 15 verse 9. Jesus told the religious leaders of his time, you have made the Word of God of none effect by your tradition. And so tradition oftentimes is long. The tradition oftentimes contradicts the Bible. And when you have a choice between tradition that contradicts the Bible and the Bible you have to go with the Bible.

The Bible claims that it is in God’s infallible word and that we are to go to it. It says in 2 Timothy 3 16, all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction. So if you don’t accept the Bible as being the inspired word of God and the book that is able to correct us, then obviously you won’t get corrected and that’s exactly what has happened. you David for calling in and people need to get back to the Bible.

We have James now in Lakeland, Florida and James welcome the Bible on your own there. Good morning Dr. Hank just continue it on the subject of tradition. Are you familiar with the watch night service that most churches are going to be having tonight? Could you give me the origin of that? I don’t know that there is, but it’s just a, I guess, a way of closing out the old year and bringing in the new. And certainly it’s an alternative for the people that are out there drinking and partying tonight.

And I’m sure there’ll be a lot of DUIs, a lot of people hurt in those environments. Sometimes for people that are believers and they don’t want to take their children out that late and they don’t want to be able to erode on such a dangerous night as New Year’s Eve. And so they, there’s mixed feelings about the whole thing. But I don’t think there’s anything in the Bible that talks about celebrating new years There’s Eve, but it’s become something that’s taking place, I think, especially in this country.

But apparently now around the world there’s a celebration when the New Year rolls around. The Jewish people celebrate it in the fall on Rosh Hashanah. And so they celebrate their New Year then. And I think they’re in the year 5,700 and something. I forget the exact year that they say that they’re living since Adam. And so they celebrated in the fall. We celebrated here tonight. And happy new year to you. Hope that helps a little bit, but there’s nothing in the Bible.

We now have Edgar in Spring Lake, North Carolina, and Edgar, welcome to Bible On Your Own Year. Hello, hello, this morning, Dr. Hank. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Oh, thank you. Okay, I have a question about Ash and I. I call because I want to know was it on the road to Damascus when you read in verse 7. The Bible says with the Holy Spirit until after Ananias prayed. Paul, excuse me, Paul didn’t get saved until he got to Damascus.

He was blinded for three days and Ananias actually led him to Christ and then his skills fell off his eyes and he could see again. Paul got saved in Damascus on the street called straight. He was led to Christ by a man named Ananias and the Bible is pretty clear about that. I used to hear in the church I was raised in where I heard a lot of things that were later discovered incorrect that he got saved on the Damascus Road.

You hear a lot of preaching that way but Paul, his attention was gotten by the Lord on the Damascus Road and he was led by the hand to Damascus but it was in Damascus that he got saved. Thank you. And you’re for calling in. We now have Bert down in Miami, Florida. Bert won’t win the Bible and you’re on the air. How you doing, Pastor Hank? Good. This I got a question for you. In your studies of Bible prophets that I’m interested in finding your take on it, the War of God and May God.

Is that before the Rapture? Well, first of all, there are two battles by that name. The one in Ezekiel 38 is Armageddon, seven years after the Rapture. The world engages in war. And Russia, which is identified in that chapter, will bring an attack against Israel, striking at Megiddo or What is called Armageddon. And then there’s another battle in Revelation chapter 20 verse 7 through 10 that talks about a battle called the Battle of God and Magog. That’s number two.

That one happens at the end of the millennium. And it’s where Satan is loosed for a little bit at the end of the thousand year end of Christ and he rounds up a huge army of unsaved people that come against Jerusalem and Christ quickly. devours them himself with no help from anybody else and that’s a short-lived battle. But those are the two, both with the same name and so because of that there is sometimes some confusion that’s generated by the fact there are two battles with the name Gaga Magog.

The first one, Armageddon, seven years after the Rapture, Ezekiel 38 talks about it and then the second one At the end of the thousand year reign of Christ, a thousand and seven years after the rapture, we have the second battle with that same name. Hope that helps. Yeah, so you’re stating that the War of Armageddon, the Battle of Armageddon, I’ve been E.V. equal 38 and 39. Yes, absolutely. And you’ll notice there in verse 19 and 20, that is E.C.

38 it says that the whole world and all the men that are upon the face of the earth shall shake at my presence. Well, that’s when Jesus comes back at his presence, the whole earth will shake and that’s the battle described there called Goggin, may Gog. That’s the first battle with that name and that is Armageddon. And very good also the war after the millennial reign. Now after that God will destroy the heavens and the earth and make a new one.

Is that correct too? At the end of the 1000 year reign? Absolutely. After that war? Yes. And you’ll see that in Revelation chapter 21 where it says on the eye John saw a new heavens and a new earth whereas the first heavens and the first earth were passed away. So a new heavens and new earth appear at the end of the millennium. And Pastor Hank, it talks about, I’ve seen maps in the Old Testament banks, maps where there’s two Bethlehem’s in Israel.

Is there anywhere in the scripture Bethlehem where it speaks to, in Micah, where it was born? But is there anywhere else in scripture where it describes the other Bethlehem? I’m not sure that I’ve seen a reference to it in scripture, but no doubt about it. There is clearly a Bethlehem up in Zebulon in northern Israel. But the Bible is very specific in Micah 5, too, that the Bethlehem that Christ would come out of would be the one next to Jerusalem.

You know, Bethlehem is only four miles south of Jerusalem. It’s very, very, very close. And so it’s not some great distance from Jerusalem. And the other one, of course, would be well over 100 miles toOnline north in northern Israel. Hi, well you and your staff have a blessed New Year. And I look forward to talking to you in 2008. Wonderful. Thank you, Bert. And it’s hard to believe that tomorrow will be the New Year. And I hope all of our listeners will have a wonderful holiday.

If you want to call us, you can, the number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And by the way, we would really like to have you go on this trip to Israel, and it’s not too late to get you included. And I talked to a fellow yesterday that wants to be baptized over there, and he’s trying to make up his mind right now. If you go, we’ll certainly be able to baptize you in the Jordan River and you’ll have a marvelous experience walking where the prophets have walked and where the Lord Jesus Christ walked and experience the things that he saw.

He loved Galilee and it’s no wonder what a beautiful place it is to go to the Sea of and we’ll get a chance to sample the fish that they catch in the sea of Galilee, same fish as 2000 years ago. We’ll get a chance to see a fishing boat from the time of the disciples that they have recently uncovered that they’re preserved so we can take a look at that and we’ll actually take a On the signal, the inner boat that is made after that same design, it’s much larger than us, it can hold a whole tour group, but it’s the same shape as the fisherman’s boat that they often call Peter’s boat because Peter is so well known for being a fisherman that they call it his boat, but it’s certainly a real fishing boat from that time and you get an idea of what it was like and the size of it and so on.

Anyway, you’re welcome to call 1-800-576-3771. And if you want to go to the on the trip, we’ll send your brochure right out, or you can just print it right off the internet. If you go to my website, Bible on Ministries, click on Bible on News on the home page. You will be able to do that. All right, the number again to call 1-800-576-3771. We’re listening to support it. If you want to help us close out this year On a positive note, your gift would be appreciated, and we hope that you will do that.

All right, we’re gonna go now to an anonymous caller. I think this fellow likes to remain anonymous, for whatever reason, and from Bade City, Florida. That’s quite a nice place there. Mr. Anonymous, welcome to Bible Eye. How you doing? All right, how you doing? I want to ask you a question, President of the bout the year, when you’re doing this Christmas, you know, for the reason they’re about the four kings. I’ve seen some churches that actually have four kings marching to see the baby and I can’t relate that to the Bible at all.

Well of course not. There were not kings that came, but the Bible says, wise men plural, I envision myself envision myself at least a dozen or two dozen and with the whole entourage it would make a huge caravan like they would do in those days. There were probably hundreds of people that rode into Jerusalem and it caused quite a stir. They got there two years late and so they were there when Jesus was a little boy, two years old.

You can read that in Matthew 20, rather, Chapter 2, where it says in verse 11, the wise man came into the house, not the stable, and there Jesus was not a newborn but a young growing developing child, and the age was probably around 2. Christ was walking, talking, and probably greeted the wise man at the door when they came in. Yeah, but I was thinking about, say King Hell was the only king that wanted to see Jesus He wanted to kill it, but I’m trying to figure out how they go to the full king marching saying they saw a real full king And that song is non-scriptured.

Well, of course and that song says we three kings So I don’t know about the fourth one, but there’s a no kings at all that came and Again, it’s amazing how the Bible You know is very clear and yet the story doesn’t come out Very clear as people are not depending on the Bible. I think so anyway, we Thank you for calling again today Mr. Anonymous from Dade City, Florida again Happy New Year to all of you. It’s been good to be able to be with you today I know a lot of people are probably preparing for celebration tomorrow and I hope it’ll be safe for you as be a tragedy for you to get out on the highway with somebody and have them maybe be a little bit under the influence and hit your car.

Pray for your safety and pray for mine and we pray that we’ll have a great new year here at Bible on Headquarters and if you ever get a chance to come by and see us we’d like to have you do that. We have another anonymous person from campus saying, what is your thoughts on the solo script tour college? And I really don’t know much about them, but you’re saying that they use the NIV Bible then that tells me that they really don’t have a whole lot of respect for the Bible.

Because the NIV Bible is probably one of the worst out there. drops. 44 verses in their entirety, and it’s very similar to the Jehovah’s Witness Bible. Even the name is similar. New world translation is the title of the Jehovah’s Witness Bible, and then new international version is the NIV title. It’s almost word for word identical. And the same flaws are in both. It’s almost like they got together and worked on their Bibles together. uh… they apparently the editors which i have quotes from didn’t believe in hell and they try to do away with hell and and so on it’s it’s it’s really a mess we have a james in richford virginia and james welcome to my mind you’re on the air yeah arm have a question about arm martin luther and his opinion of the writing of james book of james yes he he i don’t think you really ever understood james and so he thought

it was teaching works he called it an apostle of straw uh… but obviously uh… he uh… uh… was a little bit late uh… uh… james it already been in the new testament for fifteen hundred years when he does that uh… and and james isn’t teaching uh… works for salvation If you read James 2 23, he teaches there that Abraham was saved by faith without works. And he quotes Genesis 15, 6, which says Abraham believed God and it was counted in for righteousness.

James is talking about after a person has saved it, they are to do works which will earn rewards. James, we have to run because the time is out. And again, pray for us here at Bibleline.
