Hopefully you are a saved person. Hopefully you know where you would go if you were to die. And if you’re not certain, then chances are maybe you haven’t understood the plan of salvation because the plan of salvation is that it’s finished. It’s a done deal. Once you trust Christ, you are saved, and you are saved forever. Romans 5-1 says, therefore being justified, it really should read, therefore having been justified. Past tense, by faith, we have present tense, peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So we’re justified, declared righteous in God’s court of law, by faith. And it says here to the Romans that Paul is writing to, that they already had been justified when they placed their faith in Jesus Christ and as a result they presently possessed peace with God. You know, wouldn’t you trust Christ? You’re saved from that moment on forever and ever and ever. And as a result, your future is secure. Later in chapter 8 of Romans, It says in verse 38, I am persuaded.

That neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present or things to come nor heath nor depth nor any other creation Shall be able to separate me in the first tense First person it’s a separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So once you’ve become saved nothing can separate you death life your future any powers that there might be in this world or outside of this world. The Bible says once you become saved nothing can ever separate you from the love of God.

Once you trust Christ you are his and his forever. And you know that was a great revelation to me because in the church I was raised in. I was led to believe that God would have a scale one day and when I died the books would be pulled out and they’d read off the good and bad things that I had done, weights would be applied to a scale. I would watch the scale in hopes that it would weigh in my favor.

That I’d have more good works than bad works, and that would allow me to enter heaven. And if I had more bad works than good works, then I would not be allowed to enter into heaven. So I was a little bit nervous about what was ahead for me. I was a little bit frightened that maybe I would be one of those that would go to hell. I was always uncertain about my future because I couldn’t tell at that point whether I would go to heaven or hell my life hadn’t been lived out.

I figured it was based on works and I had to wait until after I died to be able to find out whether I would go to heaven or not. Well the Bible doesn’t teach that. The Bible doesn’t teach that there is a scale or that works would get me in. Yet all the war religions and the counterfeit of Christianity tells us that basically our works will be weighed and if you have enough good works you’ll get in if you don’t, you won’t, and that is not what the Bible says.

The Bible says salvation is not of works, it’s the gift of God. It’s received by simple faith in trusting Christ as Savior. And once you trust Him, my friend, you’re saved forever. John 3 16 says it yet, how many people believe that verse, as somebody once said, it is the most forgotten verse of the Bible in the sense that it’s not understood or not believed. For God so loved the world that you and me, that He gave His only begotten Son, that Jesus Christ, that whosoever believeth, that means that trust in Christ, that you would not perish, but you would have everlasting life.

means right now. Present tense. You would have everlasting life. You would receive it at the moment you believed and possess it forever thereafter. Amazingly how many people there are that teach you can lose your salvation. And I guess the majority of Christians do because that’s all based on works. You see, if you can lose it, you really are trusting in your works. I’ll never forget many years ago. I talked to a young man and I said, where are you going to go when you die?

He said, heaven. I said, how do you know? I’ve trusted Jesus Christ is my Savior. Well, I didn’t stop there, but I said, well, what if you don’t read your Bible anymore? What if you don’t go to church anymore? What if you don’t live for the Lord and you backslide and then you die? What would happen to you Then He said, Oh, I’d go to hell. I said, you’re not saved. He said, Yes I am. I said, No you’re not.

He said Yes I am. I said, No you’re not. He said, Yes I am. I said, No you’re not. And I said, The reason why is you’re trusting in your works for your salvation and he said, No I’m not. Yes you are. He said, No. I’m not. I said, Yes, you are. He said, No, I’m not. I said, Yes you are. And of course, I said, Let me illustrate. Let me see if I got this right. Are you telling me?

that if you right now Live the Christian life faithfully up until the point that you die that you’d go to heaven. He says yes That’s exactly what I’m saying Are you telling me that if you at some point in your life stop living the Christian life and backslide and die You’d go to hell is that what I’m hearing? He said yes, that’s exactly what I believe I said well guess what that’s worked You’re telling me that what you do or what you do not do between now and your death is Is going to determine your salvation that’s works Therefore you’re not saved because salvation according to the Bible is not of works and you know he said that’s heavy man and I didn’t see him again till the next day.

He saw me the next day. He said guess what I Said what he said I couldn’t sleep last night and I somewhere in the night realized that you were right. I was trusting in my life and how I lived my life and the Christian life in order to get me to heaven. And I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior that He alone saves me at the moment I believe on Christ. Well that was wonderful news but He says I’ve got a serious problem.

I said what is your problem? He says how can I tell my dad? I said, well, what’s the problem with telling your dad? He says, well, my dad is a preacher, and he’s taught me the other way of my life. I said, well, what you need to do with your dad is the same thing I did with you. Dad, is this what you’re saying, that if we live the Christian life, faithfully till the day we die, that we’ll go to heaven, but if somehow we get signed tract and we backslide and we stop living for Christ and die, that we go to hell?

Is that what you’re saying, Dad? Dad, if that’s the case, that’s works. And Dad, we’re not saved by works, so therefore we’re not saved. And you can lead your dad to Christ, wouldn’t it be great? Well, you know, it’s amazing how many people are trusting in how they’re going to live their life in their future to get them to heaven, and that makes them the Savior not Christ. As long as you’re trusting in what you are gonna do, or not gonna do, to determine whether you make heaven not my friend you are the Savior not Christ and you are not saved you are trusting in your works you will not go to heaven and basically everybody that believes that they can lose their salvation believes exactly what I just said because if you can lose it that means something that you will do or not do

in your future will determine that and it says and we just read it in Romans 838 I am persuaded that neither to death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor death nor any other creation shall be able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. My friend, you are saved forever once you trust Christ and nothing can separate you from that salvation. I hope that you’ve trusted Christ and Christ alone.

If you haven’t, then you’re not saved. If you believe you can lose it, you’re probably not saved. Think it through, connect the dots. Throw it on paper if you have to, but from this point right now, until you die, are you saying that something in your future will ultimately determine whether you make heaven? That’s works. The true plan of salvation takes you and points you back to the cross and the fact that Jesus paid your sin debt in full.

And once you trust him and him alone, you’re saved forever. Wow. I just got a nice fact yesterday from a fellow that said he was raised in church for all 41 years of his life and just got saved a couple of weeks ago by listening to Bibleline. Isn’t that wonderful? Most people. I mean, that’s malpractice, Isn’t it on the part of the church? How can he be raised in church all of his life and never understand how to be saved until two weeks ago by listening to Bible and radio?

Well, I can understand it because I was 18 years in my church and I never knew how to go to heaven and I don’t think I would have ever found out there in my church. Thank God that I heard the wonderful message of salvation by grace. Are you saved through faith? And that none of yourselves, it’s the gift of God, not of works the state of ancient most of the seasons two eight and nine i’m doctor anglinstrum and this is by blind so joy to bring the program to you and we are looking for the talking with you we have collars already waiting uh…

the phone number is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one and we have can indicator illinois and uh… can welcome the bible on your own Yes, Tom. I’ve never heard two people who were in line so much with each other as you two. It’s very hard to tell you a difference on a part on salvation by grace through faith. and I mean just right down the line I was really kind of shocked and in other words I’d like you to really expound on this and help me out so that I can understand what you’re saying verse what he’s saying because usually I find out I’ve misunderstood something long away when I think that you know somebody’s made a mistake or something I go to the words I try to find it and usually it turns out that I’m not looking at the same way that you guys are so if you’d expound on that and

I’ll get off the air and let you if you would give me a very thorough answer so i don’t know what i’m listening to i think you i think you can can up there in the cater actually uh… he’s he breaks the bible into lots of little segments which i believe in dispensations but uh… he also believes that from peter to paul uh… people were saved by water baptism i think it’s because they can understand understand Acts 2, 38, where Peter said repent and be baptized, and they take it to be water.

I don’t think that verse is talking about water at all. Repent means to change your mind. He preached to the very people who had crucified Christ, and he told them they made a big mistake. That in verse 36 is the conclusion of his message. He says, therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that Christ, which one the one whom you crucified both Lord, that means he’s gone, deity, and he is Christ, that means he’s the Messiah.

They were pricked in their hearts and they said, what should we do? Peter said, repent. Of course, the Greek word is metanoia, which means change your mind. So what they needed to do there was not turn from sin. So many people typically, people typically wrongly define repent. The Greek word means change their mind, they needed to change their mind and realize they made a mistake that they had crucified the Lord of glory and they needed to put their trust in Him.

Then it says, and be baptized. And notice, it doesn’t say in water, there are ten different baptisms in the New Testament, and most of them are dry, don’t involve a liquid at all. There’s the baptism of fire, there’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit and so on and so on that don’t involve any liquid. And it’s saying there be baptized in the name, in the name, in the name. I believe this means, and the word baptized simply means the cleanse or the wash.

Be cleansed or washed of your sin in the name or in the authority that Christ gave, that if you would trust him as Savior, that he would forgive you. And of course, if you do, then it says you receive the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians also gives a similar reference where it tells here a long list of things that would exclude anybody from heaven including stealing and lies and being covetous and everything else.

We are all basically included in that list in some way if we are unsaved. But then it says in verse 11, which people never read in 1 Corinthians 6, and such were some of you, but you are washed. And again, that is what it’s talking about here. It says washed in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. So when you put your trust in Christ, you are washed and you are no longer headed for held.

You’re not in the list that is seen in their sin because they reject the Savior who paid for their sin. They’re safe forever. So basically, I’ll have to go back and look at the website again, but basically he teaches that the Old Testament saints were saved by their offering up sacrifices and keeping the law in different segmented times. And from Peter to Paul, that Paul changed the the plan of salvation apparently. So right now he’s perfectly right on. I would agree a hundred percent, but I think it is a blasphemy to say that Christ didn’t pay for the sins of the whole human race and that people were saved differently in different times in history.

Everybody has always been saved the same way. Abraham, Genesis 15 and 6, believed the Lord and of course in the context, believed the Lord about the promise of Christ, the coming seed and he says that He believed the Lord and it was counted to him for righteousness. So, right now we would be in perfect agreement as far as this age and he would start it with Paul and end it with the Rapture. But he would say works were necessary from Peter to Paul.

Man, I disagree with that. Thank you, Kevin or rather, Ken. And we’re now going to Jim in St. Petersburg. Jim, welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. And you have to turn your radio down because I can hear that in the background, Jim. Jim and St. Pete, welcome to Vimalan. Well, thank you very much and good morning. Good morning. I have heard you now for the last couple of years, start your program. It’s your thing about the once saved, the always saved basically.

And I’ve never heard you use the scripture that in Romans that you just read, that by grace are you safe through faith in the mouth of your house that’s not what works uh… it is a gift of god right that’s a few months to eight nine okay there’s also the scripture that says and the gifts and callings of god or without repent each all that’s a wonderful verse yes to me it means god can’t take it back and i can’t give it back there you know uh…

that you were so i have to tell you a lot of time romans eleven that’s a i love a verse the gifts and calling of god are without Repentance the Greek word there is a metamele toss which means irrevocable God cannot change his mind about what he has given and take it back and Once you trust Christ as I always say you’re stuck and I love that one too. That’s a good one Well, thank you for pointing that out and our listeners ought to look that one up.

It’s Romans 11 verse twenty nine the gifts and calling of God are without repentance and salvation is the gift of God that’s right and once he gives it he can’t take it back the Greek word a metlaminal toss means irrevocable without a change of mind God cannot change his mind concerning your salvation all right listen forever amen thank you Jim and have a great day now you too all right that was Jim and Saint Pete and absolutely right on Kevin in Tampa florida uh…

kevin welcome to my mind you’re on the air hey doctor and i just have a quick question for you uh… over in psalms uh… one can and i think the the verses it talks about a brook in the way in the lord let the death i just wondered uh… if you could some of the uh… are you there anyway, we lost him and I need to get that call back because Psalm 110, I think is what you said and I’m turning there and I’m not too sure that we have the correct Psalm.

Psalm 110 and I’m almost there right now but I don’t believe we’re on the same page because there’s only six verses in the first Psalm so I can’t find verse 10. So it must be a different psalm and we need to get you back to find out what that is uh… all about anyway in the meantime we’re gonna go to brusan tampa bruce uh… welcome to my body on your a doctor linson how you do it i was talking about what the other day about the uh…

rapture and and the age of accountability and and her concern or misunderstanding and she’s under the belief that uh… if children of unbelievers have not reached the age of accountability that they would be raptured out and i was trying to explain to her what what would be the reasoning in that at all i mean that in other words it like briefly and and and is it true or is it not true the sanctioning of the believing mother and father would sanction uh…

a child that had not reached the age of accountability and of course i know it’s the only speculation but maybe you could kind of clear that up a little bit. All right, well, this is the question I hate to always answer because I believe in both cases, the child under the age of accountability, should they die would go to heaven because they haven’t reached the age where they can make the choice. But I don’t believe that at the rapture, it’s an evacuation of children.

It’s an evacuation of those that have come of age to trust Christ as Savior. And so I don’t think children are involved in this at all, except those that are above the age of accountability and have received Jesus Christ as their Savior. So, But it’s true if children are to be raptured under the age of accountability, then every child on the earth would disappear. And I believe that that is not what is going to happen. Life will continue on.

If you read in Matthew about the tribulation period, it says they’ll be marrying and buying and selling and eating and drinking right up until the day that Christ returns, just as they did in the day of Noah. And there, all the children perished. And those, of course, were under the age of accountability when they drowned, went right to be with the Lord. Obviously aborted children go right to be with the Lord. That is the blessing in all of this thing with abortion.

But definitely they’re saved upon death, but they, I don’t believe, will be in the rapture. And that’s not popular. I don’t like to say it because I have a 14 month old granddaughter, and I don’t like the prospect of the fact that I have to say that. But I believe God is going to do right. I love Genesis 1825, which I often quote, shall not the God of all the earth do right. And there it’s in the context of God destroying the people in Psalm and he destroyed them all.

Children of all ages and everybody there, except for for a lot is wife and the two daughters that escaped. And of course the children that died under the age of accountability and saw them went right to heaven. So there will be believers in heaven children that were under the age of accountability that were killed there. We have to go to break. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we’ll be right back for a half of Bibleline. Stay tuned hoe Bibleline will be back in a moment.

To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Englund-Serman. It’s great to be with you. We look forward to it every day. And last Sunday we had a family all the way in Sweden, apparently that we’re watching in. All right, we appreciate all of you and I want to thank you for your prayers for Bible and we covet your prayers every day.

And of course, if you could help us financially, that would be wonderful if you just gave a dollar a day. That would really help us. If every believer that’s listening to Bible and would give a dollar a day, we would be able to handle all of our expenses and even expand outward. And if you just gave a dollar for every program you listened to, well that would be great. Would you consider being a monthly contributor to Bible and we’re not trying to get your money.

We don’t pay any salaries. Nobody’s benefiting. We are. really out to get the gospel out and it goes out to pay for all the stations and the expenses that we have to get us out on the area. It’s expensive and we need your help. We’re gonna go back down to do Bible and Part 2 so stay tuned. We’ll be right back.

Bibleline, continue in your area. You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and it’s great to be with you and we somehow lost Bruce earlier and sorry I think that was something that we did Bruce it was a year-fall but let me go back and find that Psalm you were talking about. Okay. And what was that Psalm? I think it was one ten and I guess I had the verse wrong.

I believe it’s the last verse in the chapter. Okay, I’ll back to Psalm one then because there’s only six verses there and I said where are you? Sure. So let me try one more time. I’m hidden back there now and I just figured it was a different Psalm and not the first one and in verse six I’m almost there Psalm one and Turning pages takes time here. Yeah, I’m verse six says for the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous But the way of them godly shall perish is that the verse?

I don’t think so what the verse is is and I’m sorry I don’t have my Bible in front of me it talks about a brook in the way and then the Lord lifted his head up and I wondered what that brook was whether or not it was literal or or something else he was referring to Well, yeah, I’m at a loss There’s nothing in the first song that would even get close to that so you’re gonna have to come back at me Okay, I’ll hang up and I’ll try to find it and give you another call.

All right. Thank you Bruce and that was Bruce and we now have Kevin in Tampa and Kevin let’s see I don’t know if we have Kevin or not I’m confused now but anyway we want to thank you for tuning in to Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church and we always welcome you to come by during the week and visit our Resource Center if you’re out of town, you can go to the internet and you can see all the things on our internet that have all the resources that we have in our resource center.

Go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the online bookstore and there you will find all of our resources including books and tracks and Bibles and CDs and DVDs of my teachings. I think you’ll find it a wonderful adventure for you and I hope you’ll take advantage of all the things that we have on our website including a place to memorize scripture. We have flashcards and you can take the selected verses that we have for you to memorize or you can pick out whatever verses or passages that you’d like to memorize and you can do it in a flash card format.

It will show you the verse and then you click and it will show you the address and you can recite that out loud in front of your computer and say Romans 3 23 and then hit the flip and it will turn it over and it will say for all it is in and it will come short of the glory of God and then hit flip again and it will go back to Romans 3 23 and then hit flip and it will say for all it is in and as you keep reviewing you’ll find out really is helpful in learning the Bible.

It’s exciting to be alive and watching the events that the Bible foretells that a lot of them are happening right now. We believe Christ is returning soon and we hope that you’re watching for the return of Christ. And we certainly also want to thank all of you who pray for Bibleline and also all of you that gift of Bible. Your faithful support is what keeps us on the air and we could not continue really without your gifts. We don’t pay any salaries.

I don’t get a salary. We do pay for all the equipment costs and phone lines and the equipment and the radio stations and TV stations that it cost money““ to be on. It costs a lot of money. So we could use your help and I hate to talk about money but God wants you to partner with us I’m sure because then you benefit with us I believe you’ll share equally with us whatever rewards come from this program will be shared by you as one who partners The Bible teaches that very clearly.

In the Old Testament, when the Israeli army went out to war, there were those who had to stay home to watch children and care for the fields and the flocks and care for the things that went on at home. When the army came back with a spoil of the war, if they won, it was divided equally with those that stayed behind as well as with those that actually went out and endangered their life in the war. So I think that’s what I’m going to say.

So I think you’ll share with those of us here at Bibleline equally in the rewards of what this program is producing. So whenever you participate and give and pray for Bibleline, you’re going to be reaping the results of all of that. And we do pray that you will continue to pray for us and if you can give, it’d be great. Even if you gave a dollar a day or maybe just a dollar per program you listen to. Boy, if every listener would do that, we would probably be in great shape and we appreciate all of you and thank you in advance.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers and for your support of Bible and I can’t thank you enough. We now have Carl in Tampa, Florida and Carl, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I like that I have a two-part question. The first question is what language did the Corinthians speak in? That was Greek because Corinth is in Greece, I’ve been there many times, and it’s a city not too far from Athens. Okay, and the second question is, which was foreign languages, the gift of tongues was being spoken to them when they were misused and the gift.

That we don’t know because it doesn’t tell us. It just simply tells us that they were speaking in tongues unknown to the Krendian believers, but they were known languages, but simply not the Greek language that the Krendian believers would have understood. So it doesn’t tell us. We’d have to wait till you get to heaven to find out.

And I’m sure there were probably lots of different ones that they were using. Right, and that’s why I made sure I said foreign languages. Exactly, you got it right on. Thank you. All right, that was Carl in Tampa, Florida calling in. And the gift of tongues was to speak a known foreign language without training and it actually the Greek word in Acts is dialectos. It means a specific dialect and so it wasn’t a gibberish that’s being done today. Nobody today on the planet is speaking in tongues.

We have an incredible book here called New Testament Teachover and Tongues by Merle Unger. You might want to get that. Also I have several CDs on tongues going over acts and first grantees 12, 13, and 14. I think you’ll find it very enlightening and you might want to call our operators and order the CD on tongues or the book New Testament Teach You on Tongues by Merle Unger. We have Rachel in Tampa, Florida. Rachel, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air.

So I have a question. My question is, if a husband and wife are married and they get a divorce, are they considered committing adultery if they remarry again? All right, that’s a good question. The Bible, of course, says that there is a valid reason for divorce. If you read Matthew 19, if there is unfaithfulness in a part of one of the partners, the innocent party is free to divorce and to remarry. And that word fornication there comes from the Greek word pornea from which we get our word pornography from.

And it means any type of sexual uncleanness. And I know a young lady, a number of years ago that she came home and found her husband in bed with another man. And she was free to divorce and remarry. And Of course, obviously that just really was so damaging to her to see that and how he had betrayed their marriage in that way. So there are other forms, incest and other things. Also, the uncleanness or the fornication the Bible talks about uses the word uncleanness back in Deuteronomy where it tells about that Moses allowed for a writing of divorcement, uncleanness and it had to do with sexual uncleanness.

Then of course you’re welcome to remarry and there’s no problem at all. What if none of those things apply? It’s just your husband, you know, he just don’t want to be with you and he wants a divorce. I mean, is the wife free to marry? Well, you know, I think in Corinthians it says that if the husband just departs or completely abandons the marriage, obviously he doesn’t want to be with you anymore. He just leaves, he divorces and you’re abandoned.

There’s not much you can do about that, obviously. unpreperienced. victim and I think in that case in 1 Corinthians 7 I think let me see what verse it is I’m turning over there now but it says there a person is not in bondage in that case if you’re spouse just abandons the marriage and it says here, let’s see, it’s between verse 17 and 22 and I think it is a missing diversity but it’s right in that section of chapter 7 of 1 Corinthians.

Take a look there and I think it says in verse 15 that’s occupier so that you would be free if the husband abandons you. Abandons of marriage walks out on it. You’re free. Okay. Thank you. All right, Rachel. And those are painful situations. And certainly you’ll be in our prayers. God doesn’t like divorce. He doesn’t never intended for divorce because of the sinfulness of man and wanting to have their own desires. Many times divorce occurs. And I believe God knows your heart and if you are the innocent part of your, I think free if the marriage is abandoned or if there is sexual uncleanness in your partner.

We now have Dr. Anonymous and welcome to Bibleline your own. How you doing, Dr. Hank? Good, what’s going on? Isn’t this this individually call he wanted this scripture he kept saying song one ten That’s a hundred and ten song and the seventh verse. Oh boy. You’re an expert there I’ll let you go. All right. I’ll mess with you later. Okay mess with me later Okay, dr. Anonymous. Let me see what that verse is if he’s got it right. I’m not too sure what that Bruce call back and confirm, but Psalm 110 verse 7 he shall drink of the brook in the way therefore shall he lift up the head and Perhaps Because when you drink in a refresh you’re able to go in renewed strength.

I’m not too sure I’ll have to take a look at the verse more carefully, but I think this is the one. Thank you, dr. Anonymous for coming through All right. In fact, several others are calling in, giving the reference there to, I think it was Bruce that gave us that question. And we got the verse there. So thank you. Thank you. All right. Well, Bible and its phone number here is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we now have Rich down in Bradenton, Florida, and Rich, whoop, I have a tile tone on that line, so apparently that’s not Rich, and maybe he’ll call back.

Somehow we have lost a couple calls, but keep trying, and we’ll get you in here. 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right, we’ll try it again here and Rich from Bradenton, welcome to Bibleline. Hello, good morning. How are you today good? I had my question is I was at the Baptist Church Sunday morning and like the the service was like two and a half hours was like 95% of music and You know bouncing all over the place and everything is that a little excessive Well, you know when you read Acts chapter 2 if you just read that what happened to Pentecost?

3000 people get saved and immediately following it says they continued steadfastly not in music but or praise and worship but they continued in the Apostles doctrine in the breaking of bread in fellowship and Witnessing and so on and prayer So I don’t see it in the New Testament and I think today we’re entertaining people rather than teaching them God’s word and I think the The essential factor in the believers coming together on the first day of the week as you read in the book of Acts was they came together to study the Word of God and to grow and to learn and to go out then and preach that message to the lost in the nine worlds.

Two and a half hours of balancing around is more like in a Robics class, it sounds like to me. I thought it was too much because I didn’t hear much about the word at all. It was just a lot of music. Also, they went into these really long prayers too. Just babbling on. Thank you for this, thank you for that. Thank you for my trees and my lawn. I just thought that was kind of ridiculous too. the Bible tells us that it would not endure sound doctrine.

And I think that’s what’s happening today. It’s driven by, I think, just the secular world as well, that we want to be entertained. And you see that in Hollywood or Hollywood and on television, they don’t give you, they just try to tickle your ears years and there’s not much substance left in the church today and that’s a sad commentary. In fact we just got this fax I read this morning where our fellow said he’s raised that he’s 41 years of age, raised in church all of his life.

God saved just a couple of weeks ago by listening to my blind. Well to me that’s malpractice on the part of his church or churches that he’s attended that he could go 41 years faithfully, think he was saved and not even know how to be be saved because the church failed in that area and that’s too bad. That is the basics. How can a church allow you to attend 41 years and not get you saved? Yes, it’s sad, isn’t it?

It is sad. And that’s more common than people realize. A lot of people have been in church almost a lifetime and never heard how to go to heaven. Listen, thank you for your call, Rich. I don’t know what to tell you except look for a sound Bible-believing teaching church that’s willing to take the stand on the word. Well, I found one. It was your church, but it’s up in Tampa. Oh. 55 miles from my house. Wow. Yeah, that’s a good hike.

So, we do come to you like on the Resurrection Day and some of the other gatherings you have, but I can’t do that every week. No, I’m sure you can’t. But we’ll be praying for it. I certainly hope someone there will you know open a church up like that or that you can find one that’s there and you haven’t discovered yet but also you can watch our morning service on the internet. Yes I know that’s great. Yes. Well thank you Ritz for calling in I wish I had a solution.

Okay well I’ll just keep trying. Alright thank you. Thank you very much. We have Sandy in Tampa Florida. Sandy welcome to the I’m glad you’re on there. I’m confused about this Old Testament sacrifice of animals for remission of sin. Why did they do that? Is that not considered works? It is. And they were never saved by doing that. If you look at Hebrews 10-4, it says it is not possible. That means it’s impossible. The bulls and goats should take away sins.

So it tells us that they never could take away anybody’s sin. They were a picture a reminder of what God would do through Christ that Christ would come and shed his blood But no, there’s no one who ever had their sins forgiven by offering an animal sacrifice. It was all a picture But when Jesus died and went to paradise he took Abraham he closed up paradise Because the animal blood covered their sins Well, that’s not really true. He went down there to preach.

Isn’t that what he did? Yes, he did. And he went down to preach not to preach salvation to them, but to preach that he had gotten the victory over Satan and defeated him and had made the full payment for their sins. And now they were eligible to enter heaven because they had the promise of salvation, but couldn’t actually receive it because sin had not yet been paid for. But nobody was ever saved by an Old Testament blood sacrifice. sacrifice.

You mean during life’s work on the on the earth? His first advent was not to come set up his kingdom, no one ahead of time because he’s God that they would not receive him that he would go the cross but he played it out? That’s correct. He went to the cross and died for as the lamb of God. He was the lamb. I know that all the other lambs had pointed to and God in his foreknowledge knew that Israel would reject them, but he bona fidely offered it to them.

And upon the rejection of him, of course, he went to the cross and purchased our salvation. And now that kingdom has been postponed and will become a reality when Jesus comes the second time, which I believe is getting pretty close. But all those were a reminder of what Christ would do. In fact, if you read Hebrews chapter 10, it says, in those sacrifices, There was a remembrance made and it was a remembrance that there were sinners in need of a Savior.

The Savior would have to be innocent or sinless as the animal was innocent or sinless is the picture. And the blood of that animal had to be shed as Christ had to die and shed His blood. And of course, in the case of Adam and Eve, the coat of that animal made a covering for Adam and Eve, which is a picture of the garment of salvation that we receive, we receive which is the righteousness of Christ. It’s called a robe of righteousness, and Isaiah 61, that the believer receives based upon Christ’s substitute to your death.

So he was innocent, and he was slain. His blood was shed, and his righteousness becomes our covering. And on that basis we interheavened. Now they had the promise of that, but it didn’t become a reality till Christ actually died. So they got saved by the fact that Abraham, they just believed it. that is correct is the son of god and i think he said you’re the son of god loving god living god absolutely and then that’s the way they were saved not by work that’s correct and if you relax 1043 peter says to jesus or the Hebrew is yeshua give all the prophets witness that’s all the old testament writers that through his name jesus or in the Hebrew yeshua that whosoever believeth in him jesus or yeshua shall receive remission of sins so at acts 1043 Peter sweeps the whole little testament one verse

tells us that everybody was saved as the profit gave witness that it was through believing in his name that they would be saved well that’s making sense good okay thank you so much you’re welcome sandy in Tampa florida and uh… we have ever in richmond virginia ever welcome to buy one year on the air how you doing that good i’d have a question about the book of the uh… matthew chapter fourteen verse twenty two two thirty three and also the book of mark uh…

verse forty five fifty two it’s been about uh… gee is walking on the water and then saying that the bible fair not it is i uh… collars reading that the greek literally says fair not i am it that you it probably is you could see is god and of course this demonstrates the fact that he’s got men can’t walk in the water But God could obviously levitate over the water and did. So he is one of the evidences that he’s got, the fact that he could raise the dead, forgive sin, multiply the loaves and the fishes.

All of these were evidences of the fact that he was God. And I think that’s one of them, the fact that he could rebuke the storm, probably Satan who caused that storm. I think Satan wanted to drown the apostles in Christ out there on the seat but christ was able to rebuke that storm and then he was able to walk on the water he has control over all of creation and all of nature what what would be out the english version of the bible missed that particular scripture you know it’s amazing what they do with some of the uh…

the translations today and i don’t know if you read even the king james are not but a lot of them get it wrong they’re very very uh… loose or not careful about in other words they somewhat paraphrase or and they don’t see the meaning uh… they don’t believe the bible’s inspired word of god so they don’t really care about being accurate and i think that’s the problem well this particular that i was thinking about it jane bible but i don’t i have a feeling that any by by just i just recently read that it actually said that this is my first time of the hearing about it i just but i’m glad you are answer that question but i was quite busy thank you i think it is as clearly his dvd that is in focus that’s the call from richmond of virginia and welcome

of course the bible every time we have dwayne in campiforda and dwayne welcome to bible and you’re on the air how you doing all day and i want to address three charges on the air what is that i don’t want you to name them but go ahead and the uh… particular denominations you mean i don’t know if it’s okay but uh… uh… three denominations that they believe the same but i don’t agree with them the uh… churches of god and christ the apostolic church is they all believe that uh…

the only way to make it to happen is What they call receiving the Holy Ghost after their version and speaking in tongues. I want you to elaborate on that for me. Well, obviously we do receive the Holy Spirit when we trust Christ and that is true in the sense that if you’re a believer you receive the Holy Spirit. It’s one of many consequences that occur when you trust Christ. The Bible says every believer receives the Holy Spirit to indwell our bodies which become God’s temple.

So, if you’re a believer, you’re going to receive the Holy Spirit. But the speaking in tongues, it’s over. That was a temporary gift. And you only find it three times in the book of Acts, and then it just goes off the scene. And you find it only in 1 Corinthians as far as the rest of the New Testament because it was one of the earlier written books and it was still operative at that time, but it went off the scene as well.

But if you hold them to the fires, what the Bible says, what they’re doing is not the biblical gift. What is being done today is a gibberish and it’s not the biblical gift at all. It’s scary today. We have a lot of things going on that are not biblical. We have a lot more callers sitting on there wanting to get on them. We’re out of time. A lot of all fair questions. I haven’t been able to get to yet, but we’ll come back at all of this again tomorrow.

So if you haven’t trusted Christ yet, you need to just say, Lord, I’m the sinner. And we all are, but I trust Jesus Christ right now as my only hope of heaven. I trust Jesus Christ that he died and shed his blood, was buried, and rose again from the dead. And the moment you do, God up in heaven saves you. And I pray that you do that. Then make that second decision to serve him. That’s where rewards come in and God’s blessings.
