The first we’ll take you to today’s show the other to the archives. Thanks for tuning in. You’re always welcome to come by and visit our Bible and resource center.

We have a number of things that will really help you. You know, I have thousands and thousands of books as I’m a book lover, but most of them I think are worthless. I have selected books that I think will be really helpful to you out of all the ones that I have enjoyed over the years. And those are in our Bible and resource center. You can go online, look at our online bookstore, see pictures of them and get descriptions of them.

and they’ll send you a resource sheet and you can order off of that sheet either by mail or over the phone. And also you can drop by. So if you’re ever in the area, please drop in and visit our resource center and check out what we have available for you and the way of tracks, evangelistic tools. We have the greatest book on evangelism in the world. It’s called handbook to personal evangelism. We have it in Spanish and in English, but it’s also available in Japanese, Korean, French, even Arabic.

So if you need to get a copy in another language like that, we can acquire that for you. But this book tells you how to lead a soul to Christ. It tells you an imaginary conversation between you and that person you’ll talk to. What you’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, and it leads you right through to the conclusion where you lead them to Christ. And it tells you how to talk to an atheist, an agnostic, an evolutionist, a cult member, and just that family member that needs to be saved.

This is a great book not only to teach you how to have angelines, but to sure up your own faith in giving you answers that not only will assure you but give you courage to be able to tell others about Christ. I also have a ten-hour series on how to lead a soul to Christ, 10 CDs, and that is an invaluable set. I remember when we taught that in the classroom that at the end of the 10 weeks everybody stood in a plotted.

I wasn’t expecting that, but obviously they really did enjoy that series and you’ll be like you were there those nights when we gave that series. In any case, we have about 40 of these classes that we’ve done in the past, 10 hours or twelve hours of teaching available on CD and they are powerful. Many have started Bible studies. I know of one. In an attorney’s office where there are numerous secretaries and attorneys, they have a Bible study and they use my CDs to facilitate that.

Another man has a Bible study in his home and he’s had to add on to his home because of the people that want to come out and listen to the Bible study that he has using our CDs and so on. And I hear this from all over the country and we’re excited about how the CDs are powerful We just finished the book of Jude the book of Romans and the book of Hebrews those are powerful That was a wonderful series and you might want to get the ten hours of teaching on the book of Jude the ten hours of teaching on the book of Romans the ten hours of teaching on the book of Hebrews these were powerful powerful teachings we also have a book that is new that is extremely extremely enlightening called Rome and Evangelicalism to show how the ecumenical movement is really

on a fast track. How many of the popular national evangelists and national organizations are linking up with Rome and the ties are getting stronger every day. This book will just blow your mind and you’ll be able to look up organizations and see The quote says to their ties now with Roman Catholicism. Interesting book. And those are available in our bookstore and many other new titles that we feel will be very helpful to you, including books on the Rick Warren purpose-driven movement.

One called, Who’s Driving the Purpose-Driven Church? Number two book is Deceved on Purpose. These are powerful presentations of the new age implications of the Rick Warren purpose driven movement that is sweeping worldwide. Very powerful, powerful movement. In any case, I’m Dr. Anglin Strem. This is my blind is great to be with you. And I hope you go to church somewhere this Sunday. If you don’t have a church home and you’re living in driving business come visit us at Calvary Community Church located at 4811 George Road Tampa, Florida.

3, 3, 6, 3, 4, our zip and we’re right next to the Tampa International Airport. Very easy to find and we hope that you’ll take advantage of the fact that we’re close to some of you and you can come on in and see us. We’re going to turn over to 1 Peter and 1 Peter chapter 3 in verse 15 it says, Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope or expectation that is in you with meekness and fear.

I took this verse to heart many years ago. I believe every believer ought to be ready. I found many times if somebody is called upon to give testimony they’ll say, I’m not ready. If they’re called upon to witness they’ll say, I’m not ready. If they’re called upon to teach a class or lesson, I’m not ready. And I hear so often Christians saying, I’m not ready. I’m not ready. I’m not ready. The Bible says we should be ready. And here is a great verse for you.

It’s 1 Peter 3.15 as a believer. It It says, be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason. When someone is asking you a question, do you have an answer for them? And I believe that’s really what Bible is all about. Giving answers to people who have questions right from the Bible. And you have to study to be able to do that. Second Timothy 2.15 says, study to show thyself approved under God as a workman, a workman, not a bookworm, but a workman that needs not to be ashamed, not be ashamed at the judgment seat of Christ when you’re going to be evaluated for what kind of workman you have been, but it says rightly dividing the word of truth.

You need to become skilled in the Bible enough to be able to divide the different doctrines, to be able to separate between salvation and Christian service or discipleship, to be able to separate between the rapture and the second coming, not the same event at all. To be able to separate between grace and works. To be able to separate between the different ages or dispensations that are in the Bible. To be able to divide between the standing of the believer and the actual state of the believer.

In our standing we are declared righteous before God. But in our actual state, we find ourselves still in a sinful body and struggling with sin every day. So as a believer, we need to be able to recognize positionally we’re righteous. But yet in our actual state we need to be striving toward being as Christ-like as possible in our daily life. And so on and so on and so on. These are all wonderful, wonderful things to discover and learn. And by the way, if you get our hardback Scofield that we offer in our Resource Center, it has the notes by Dr.

C.I. Scofield, the editor of the Scofield Bible, on how to interpret the Bible. and he goes through many of these that I just have mentioned and shows you the secret of being able to rightly divide the word of truth. But basically, God is saying in 1 Peter 3, 15, be ready always, be ready always. Why was Paul the Apostle so successful? Why was he so used of God? Well let me read what he says over in Romans chapter 1 verse 15.

He says, so as much as in me is, I am ready. IBesides, I am ready. Paul was ready. Are you ready? You’re not going to be effective if you’re not ready as a Christian. And in order to become ready, you need to prepare yourself. That’s why I believe our CD series and our DVD series of teachings will really help you and prepare you. Oftentimes when I’m teaching, especially in the classroom, we talk about the topic of Hermeneutics without using that word.

Hermeneutics is a Greek word that impresses people, but it means really the science of interpretation of the Bible. How do you interpret the Bible? How do you know you have the right interpretation? And the tips on how to do that are often just right there in my teachings as we teach you how to be able to do that. Paul was ready and are you ready? And he was ready to do what? It says in Romans 1.15 to preach the gospel.

He was ready to tell somebody how they could have eternal life by explaining the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ as being the message that is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that would believe it. The following verse for 16 says, I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The message of the death, the burial, resurrection of Christ is the power it says here of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth. That word means to trust.

When you trust that Jesus did indeed die and by his death and shed blood paid your sin dead and full was buried in rose again from the dead, God saves you. This is the book by the way that Martin Luther, the reformer, was studying when he got saved. He was a Roman Catholic priest. He had a doctorate of divinity degree in the Roman Catholic Church. He was asked to teach at the University of Wittenberg in Germany. He was asked of all things to teach the book of Romans.

Well, obviously, to teach it, he had to read it. So he began to read the book of Romans. He gets to verse 16, 17, and 18, and something happens in Martin Luther’s head. He says, this is not what I’ve been taught as a Roman Catholic. This is different than what I’ve been taught as a Roman Catholic. And guess what? Martin Luther got saved. He recognized that it was the gospel that was the power of God and the salvation, and he simply believed that gospel message, the message of the shed blood, the death and burial and resurrection of Christ, as the only means of his entrance into heaven.

And as a result, Martin Luther proclaimed that message and it marked the beginning of the Reformation. The Reformation being really an attempt to reform the Roman Catholic Church and get them back to the truth, get them back to the Bible. Unfortunately Rome resisted and hasn’t made much progress, but many, many churches and denominations sprang forth because of the rediscovered truth that salvation is by faith and not by works, that it’s by trusting Christ, and not by trusting the church, or penance, or mass, or works, or the things that man can do.

But Jesus came as a Savior to do what we could not do for ourselves, that he would pay the penalty for our sins so that we could be saved. And the Bible teaches that eternal life is the free gift. Romans, Chapter 5 says numerous times that salvation is the free gift of God, free gift of God, free gift of God, free gift of God. Wow. Those were exciting words for me as a teenager at 18 when I heard that and I said, God, I’ll take you up on your free gift.

And I did. And then I later made a decision to serve and tell others. And those were the two greatest decisions I’ve made in my life. I hope you have trusted Christ as your only hope of heaven. And I hope you’ll look up Romans 1, 16. What a great verse we just quoted that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth or would trust in Christ’s Savior. I’m Dr. Englund, this is from Mrs. Bibleline.

We’re gonna go ahead and go to the phone lines. We have lots of people waiting. We have offer questions where to go We’re gonna go to Joe in Pembroke Pines, which is in South Florida near Hollywood, Florida Joe welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey Pastor Hank. How are you good? I just wanted to tell you first of all I’m gonna awesome minutes you have there and God bless you for all you do as a fellow believer and stuff And I just want to tell you how awesome program you have and how blessed I’ve been by listening to you on the radio well that’s wonderful Joe and I’m so glad that you’re able to hear us down there in South Florida.

I also want to say that you know I’m a truck driver and I do a route on the road and stuff and that’s why I’m able to listen to you do my stops and sometimes I even leave my truck running so I can hear you finish off on the questions that you answer and stuff. That’s exciting. But anyway I’m gonna take too much of your time. I do have a question I want you to clarify something for me. I don’t know if you know who Dr.

Walter Martin is. Do you remember him? I sure do. He’s in heaven now. Yes. I think he was an awesome teacher as well. But I was listening to one of his tapes and teaching him about Jehovah’s Witnesses. He said on one of my tapes that, and Mark chapter 16 verses 9 through 20, he was saying that that was not on scripture, that it was finished off by someone because the last part of Mark was like gone or ripped off on the manuscript and it was finished off because it says that Jews appeared to them in another form in verse 12 and that he that believer that it’s baptized shall be saved and he claimed that it was a contradictory because how can you believe that baptized his works?

Well that’s where I would disagree with Walgermart and I believe those last verses belong there and should be there. This is based upon some later manuscript finds and because they are older than other manuscripts we have doesn’t mean that they’re necessarily correct in the emissions that they have brought to us. In fact, some of the modern translations have thousands of emissions based upon these two manuscripts, the Sinaiticus and also the Vaticanus manuscripts that were found which were apparently different than the traditional manuscript families.

But I don’t see a problem at all in those verses. Verse 16 is talking about, I think, the baptism that saves, which is not water, but it’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and he the believer and the one that Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit is saved. It’s not talking about water at all. If you read Mark’s context in verse 8 of chapter 1, John the Baptist says, I indeed have baptized you with water, but he Christ shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

You don’t see water anymore in Mark’s gospel till you get to chapter 16 when Christ is already resurrected from the dead. And he’s the one speaking here after the resurrection and he says he the believer and is baptized. He’s obviously the one speaking. He’s the one that does the baptizing in the baptism with the Holy Spirit that brings about salvation to the believer and I think he’s talking about that baptism not water. Yeah, no I agree with your 100% because I heard you talk about this before but I just wanted to get it out in the air and people had that question about that because I think the new translations which I agree with 100% for way short of the King James and I just wanted to bring that out because I think those Bibles translations which unfortunately I have a few copies of because as

I was growing I didn’t know the difference and now I realize it now. So I have them then. I think they have like those little footnotes that they shouldn’t be in this such and such but I agree with you on that also. And that’s why the NIV drops 44 verses in their entirety all based upon that same kind of nonsense. It’s all based on two manuscripts and a couple of guys back in the 1800s, Westcott and Horton in particular relied heavily on them and wrote their own with other men who were about 15 in this committee, wrote their own Greek text which is the critical text which is a man-made Greek text off of which most of these monotranslations are coming.

It’s not off of a raw manuscript. The text that has come down through us two times but it is a man-made Greek text that called the critical text and I totally reject that. It has lots of flaws in it. It seems to actually make an attempt to do away with the deity of Christ. One of the men on that committee was a Unitarian that don’t believe in the deity of Christ and you see his influence in 1 Timothy 3 16.

I love this verse where it says, without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness that God was manifest in the flesh. Well, the English Standard Version, the American Standard Version, the New American Standard Version, and all of these translate this by our common confession as though the deity of Christ rested upon our vote. We don’t have to vote on whether he’s got or not. The Bible clearly declares it, but then he goes on to say, he was manifest in the flesh.

That’s absolutely meaningless because, Joe, you’re manifest in the flesh. I hank. I’m manifest in the flesh. manifest in the flesh but to say God was manifest in the flesh that’s significant and they just take away that deity out of that verse and there’s so many examples I could point to but it’s scary what’s going on with these modern translations yeah I absolutely agree with you because they don’t even sound right when you read it you’re like what’s missing here and like you said about that good that what is that one that Rick Warren uses oh my goodness the new message Bible that is That is the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

I call it the comic book. Oh, I have one with just a few feet away from me here and it probably is a attracting demons to my office I think because that’s scary. That is so bad. But I have it here as a reference. But it takes an absolutely reverses meanings of passages. I mean to the very opposite of what they’re teaching. It is unbelievably bad. Oh, I know I agree with you. I know I read a few things in it.

I was at a church service and I was like, oh wait a minute This doesn’t even sound right at all. You know you like what? And it uses New Age phrases in the Lord’s Prayer in particular. It says as is above so it is below that has been a new age phrase for hundreds of years and they just threw it right into the Lord’s Prayer. God has got to be really upset with what’s going on here. And it’s a typical phrase that Rick Ward likes to use as well.

And it’s not biblical. And unfortunately, this is the way we’re going nowadays. We’re going deeply away from the Bible quickly. And it’s scary. We have a book here at our Resource Center called New Age Bible Versions which exposes about 20 of these modern translations and you can see the passages for yourself. It points out where they’re distorting the major doctrines of the Bible and soon I think there’ll be a Bible out there that’ll be absolutely meaningless to anyone because the truth will be flushed out of it.

Yeah, I have that New Age version. Thank you. a lot of stuff from your resource center and I will continue and I want to continue to donate to you and stuff because they’re a wonderful job you do and I also want to say something to Harold and Hollywood. He’s not too far from me out this way and I hope he comes to know you Lord as a savior, Lord Jesus as a savior because you know I think he’s getting close and God’s plugging out his heart but I hope he really comes and accepts Jesus as a savior but he’s one of my neighbors out here somewhere and I hear him calling all the time.

Well, you know, I think Harold is close, and he knows, and we make it very clear that if you die without Christ, you’ll go to hell. And so it’s a real serious matter. And I almost doubt he’s an atheist, or he wouldn’t be asking all these questions. But I think he’s close maybe to trust in Christ. I pray so anyway. We pray for his salvation. He must trust Christ if he’s to make heaven. Well, Dr. Hank, thank you very much.

I’ll let you go and get the other callers and have a blessed day and God bless you. Thank you and thank you for that call. That was Joe down in Pembert, Pines, which is near Hollywood, Florida. We have Mike in Bradenton, Florida and Mike, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Oh, thanks Dr. Lynch from, first of all, I want to say I appreciate your ministry and thanks for putting yourself out there. I just have a quick question and then I’m going to hang up and let you answer.

up in memorizing scripture lately and one of the passages that I’m memorizing is in the third chapter of John, you know, before and after John 3 16. And there’s a verse that sort of baffles me a little bit. It says, and no man has ascended into heaven, but he who descended from heaven, even the Son of Man. And I just don’t really understand that. I was going to get your input. What it’s saying there is that No one has the power of themselves to ascend into heaven except for Christ.

There have been people in the Old Testament that have been caught up to heaven, but they didn’t ascend. You know, Christ of His own power left the planet earth from the Mount of Olives after 40 days after His resurrection, and He simply just ascended into heaven. When I go to heaven, I’m going to be snatched up at the rapture. I hope if I’m living when it happens, which I believe is close, But I don’t have the power myself to just step out into my parking lot and ascend into heaven.

The Lord is going to have to catch me up to be in heaven. And that’s what it’s saying that no man, you, me or anyone else on this planet has the power to just ascend into heaven. We are dependent upon God to take us there. And Christ, though, of his own power ascended right into heaven. So that’s what it’s talking about. that’s great. That helps me out a lot because I was thinking, you know, I was just conflicting a little bit because I knew that, you know, people had been taken in to have them before.

Right. That’s John 3 14 you’re talking about. And I remember when I had a problem with that myself and I finally, the Lord gave me the answer. I believe that is the correct answer for that. Okay, thank you. Thank you. And we’re coming up on our break here. Wow, It goes so fast that it’s just hard to believe, and we got lots of callers still waiting. All fair questions. We’ll try to catch them in a minute. I hope you’ve trusted Jesus if you haven’t.

Do it right now. Don’t waste another second. And don’t change that dial. We’re going to be right back after this short break to do the second half of Bible lines. So stay tuned as we go to break. No way. Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. at 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and it’s great to be with you and I thank you for tuning in to the Bibleline program.

We are listeners supported and without your help we could not be on the air and thank God that you the listeners have kept us alive. When really it looks like such an impossibility how could we stay on the air? and sometimes Sometimes we wonder ourselves, but we know that we have a wonderful God who can supply. And so if you haven’t given the Bibleline or if you haven’t given lately, could you help us? You could give a gift by credit card over the phone.

You can call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it. We’ll send it right out and you can mail your gift in. You can give a gift by going to the internet and giving it on our online bookstore, on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org. we hope that you will do that. And that’ll help us keep going here because we’re living in the last days and we’re trying to reach out to as many people as we possibly can while we still have time because the Lord is gonna snatch us out and we don’t know when.

But what if we just said, well, I don’t think it’s gonna be for quite a while and all of a sudden boomy comes. Well, then obviously I think you’ll have regret to say, Wow, I missed my opportunity. I should have done more for Christ. And obviously, the opportunity will be gone. So right now is your chance to live for Christ, serve Christ, and give to Christ. And if you want to give Bible, I really could use your help. And your gifts will keep us and assured that it will be kept on the air for you.

So pray for us. And if you can, give a gift to Bible, today called in our 800 number and I want to thank you in advance for your prayers, for your gifts and for your concerns and thank all of you who tune in to Bible and every day. We are excited about the classes on second Peter that we’re finishing up right now but we have first Peter already completed after next Tuesday you’ll be able to order second Peter. We have the Gospel of John the book of Romans the book of Hebrews the book of Jude the book of Revelation the book of Daniel and many, many more presentations that are available on CD and DVD.

And you might want to order a lot of people use them to facilitate a Bible study or a Sunday school class. And they play maybe a half hour, then they have some group discussion. And then in a home Bible study, they winded up with refreshments. And one fellow had to add on to his house because his home Bible study out grew their their facility and they had to add a large meeting room on his home so he could accommodate the people that were coming.

That’s exciting and I know we have a major league ballplayer who does that in the basement of his home and people come from all over to listen to the CDs of the teachings here. What we’re going to do Bibleline 2 right now. By the line continue in your area. You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back. back from that break and this is Bibleline and we’re coming to you from Tampa, Florida from our studios at the Calvary Community Church and we’re excited about being able to do that.

Thank you for all of you who have prayed for and sent cards or letters or left messages to tell us that you’ve been praying for me as I had a staff infection and went into the hospital and then recovering and almost released by all my doctors and getting my strength back. It’s exciting to see how God has certainly responded to all of your prayers and how God has gotten me through my staff infection. Pray for me as we continue to recover and pray for Bibleline as we reach out to the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We pray that that person listening today that is not sure of salvation would learn from God’s word that they could be absolutely sure of going to heaven. And as an old favorite of mine, Oliver Green used to say, God please save that sinner that’s closest to going to hell. My friend, you don’t know when you might leave this planet. And if you’re listening and you’re not sure of your salvation, you could slip into eternity and be cast into the eternal like a fire forever and ever.

I don’t like to tell anybody that, but that’s the truth. And if you die without Christ, you’ll not make heaven. And if you’re not a believer and you’re not saved, if you haven’t trusted in the shed blood of Christ, as the only means of your going to heaven, you need to do that. And I do pray that God would really speak to you through His Word today. If you are lost and you’re close to going to hell, don’t waste another moment, don’t put it off another second.

whisper that prayer between you and the living God until God got on the sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I do believe in trust in Jesus Christ and His death and His shed blood as the only means of my salvation and the moment you trust him God saves you. And he doesn’t turn anyone away. Whose the whoever the Bible says that would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ would be saved and that includes you. I hope you would do that.

And if you can put it on your list, it will be appreciated and if you could send me a gift to Bible on, that would help us out greatly. God bless all of you who are doing that. We have lots of callers out there. We are going to go ahead and start going to those callers. We are going to go So first to Carol in St. Petersburg and Carol, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hello. You had mentioned that we needed to always be ready to give the gospel.

Yes. Are the program. And there’s another step to it also that I think is so important and that is to be watching for the opportunity and to learn how to open up the conversation in order to be able to to give the gospel to the person that you’re dealing with. I was out with Lady one day who was selling a product and she said whenever she was three feet from somebody for three minutes, she figured it was her opportunity to give them one of her business cards.

And I watched her diligently do this and I thought, wait a minute, if I’m three feet from someone for three minutes, God has set up an appointment for me to tell them the gospel. And so I started watching for opportunities to share Christ and to be just on the alert. You know, somebody close to me for a period of time, and am I able to open this conversation? And I’ve just watched God open the most amazing ideas for me.

You know, I was just standing by an older couple one time, and I said, oh, I just was wondering, have you ever made your preparation yet and your reservations for eternity? And they both looked at me like, what? You know, and I said, do you have your plans, mate? And I said, we’re all getting close to it, you know. And this man said, you know, I never thought about that before. No, we don’t. We don’t have made. And I said, wow.

And one day it was raining. And I went to the store and was standing there waiting for the rain. I talked to the merchants. And I thought, how can I open this up? And I said, isn’t it amazing that the creator brought this rain to us and controlled the weather pattern? Have you ever met the creator? . . . . . . . And then I just told them, Jesus, you know, and then I wanted to, and he stood there and listened to me, you know, about this loving God who loved him so much and who sent his son to die for him and who pays the penalty for his sins.

And it’s just, it’s been wonderful to watch the opportunities and to see how God, if you really want to bring up the subject, God just gives you amazing opportunities that, and even words to say, to bring, because the gospel is so simple. simple and anybody can give the gospel but it’s getting somebody on the white wavelength to listen to it. I’ve been traveling and I’veDeliveryDate IInteger I really like and I sit in there and I say you know I really really like you and I wish I could get to know you and spend time with you and the only way I’m going to be able to do that is if you’ve come to heaven because I’m going to be in heaven.

Are you going to be there? That’s great. And they’ll say well I don’t know I just did this in London and this man said well I I said, well, you know, you have to make reservations to go. Just like you made this trip, you have to plan it. And I said, let me tell you how you can be in heaven. And we can sit down and really talk then. And it’ll be so much fun to just get to know you.

And I went through the gospel with him. I gave him a little new testament. And so I’m going to start reading the book of John, you know, I’m flying Jesus in there. And then, you know, we’ll be together with him one day. And, but it’s just, it’s wonderful to see how God just miraculously does this thing and then a lot of times i will just say are you christian and they will say yes or no you know and if they say yes i say well could you tell me when when i hear the word christian what does that mean to you how do you find christian and and so often it’s not a christian at all you know exactly i have just talked to man at a good will throw the day and he said uh…

Oh, yeah, Christian. I said, what does that word mean to you? And I said, Christian, what did you mean? He said, well, I believe there’s a higher power and there’s a spirit world and he went through all this stuff. And I said, well, some of that is true, but that’s not what a Christian is. Christian’s the one who believes in Jesus Christ and what he did for them. And I went through the gospel with them. But if you always ask them, even if you have nothing else, you’re able to say, well, where are you Christian?

and if they are you know they will define what it is for you and you know what they are not if they say well no but you know somebody up one comment in the restroom at a McDonald’s and I saw this lady standing there kind of depressed my goodbye for a minute and then I thought I need to talk to her and so I said are you christian and she said no but you know I thought someday I’d like to be and I said why this is your chance today I’m gonna tell you how to be a Christian and she prayed with me and when she left she just hugged me and hugged me and I gave her a little new testament and said, you know, go out from here now you’re Christian and you have to grow.

But I’d say that to say, you know, the gospel is ABC. The mid-year center believed you just died for your sins and call upon him and that is so easy to tell. But the hard part is getting the opportunity to tell them the story and getting that door open so they will listen to you. And I think that’s all a part of being prepared to give out the gospel. Amen. I agree with you, Carol. That was great. I’m glad you shared that with all of our listeners because if we’re looking for opportunities, they’re there and then we need to be creative.

And as you have shared with us, you can use almost anything that’s going on as an opportunity to get that conversation going. Yeah, it’s the most exciting thing in the world and if anybody’s bored just go out shopping and find yourself next to somebody for three minutes and it was in three feet and just open it up because the world wants to hear this. They really do and nobody’s talking about it. I believe you’re absolutely right in it. I do thank you.

Thank you. Thank you very much. All right. Thank you, Carol. That was great. And you know the P.E. book that we have here does exactly what Carol is saying. It shares with you how you can get that conversation open in addition to what to share when you do get it open. It is, like she said, it’s wonderful. It’s fun. I have people telling me, I’ve had never had so much fun in all my life because when you live your life that way it’s exciting because all of a sudden you’re meeting people and you’re sharing with them the most important message they’ll ever hear in their life.

for a good at jeff now down in venice florida and uh… jeff welcome to bible a doctor and kadon wonder if you can clarify some for me impossible to go to the office and read uh… spoke about the pre-destination of the electin set aside since birth How did that correspond with Christ saying it’s my father’s will that none should perish? Well, obviously, if you read about all those passages in the context, God predestinates all that would believe to be saved and all that are not believers are predestined to go to hell.

So basically, your choice is your choice to accept or reject Christ. And as I like to say, D.L. Moody simplified it so much. He said, the Whosoever wills are the elect and the Whosoever won’t so the non-elect. So that’s where it really breaks apart. God knows the future, but he doesn’t know it because he’s made your choice for you. But it is your choice. Whosoever is a bona fide offer in the Bible that anyone that would believe or trust in Christ would not perish.

they’d have eternal life that’s been predetermined but if you don’t believe you will perish and you’ll not have eternal life that’s been predetermined so uh… every believer is predetermined to go to heaven so calls predestination of the pocket actually got for knowledge of well uh… not necessarily i mean he he he he knows who will be saved based upon his foreknowledge but uh… every believer has been predestinated to be conformed to the image of christ and that’ll Ultimately take place in heaven when you’ll have a body like Christ and you’ll be sin free and You’ll be able to do many things that Christ can do and so on but you are You know, he doesn’t predesten your choice.

That’s right. Let me give you a great verse I love this one in first thessalonians Second thessalonians rather chapter two in verse 13. It says but we are bound to give thanks always to God for you brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation. I’m going to stop there because a lot of people stop there. But then I’m going to read on and here’s the answer. He’s chosen you from the beginning to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.

So He chose to save you based upon two things happening. Your part believing on Christ for trusting Him and then the Holy Spirit taking and cleansing you of your sin and placing you into the body of Christ. So in real time, we are invited and then we respond. And when we believe the truth, we become saved. In verse 14, it goes on to say here in 2 Thessalonians, where unto he called you by our gospel. So in other words, he invites you to be saved.

And when you respond and believe the truth, he saves you. And he chose to save those that would believe that truth before the foundations of the earth from the very beginning now that invitation to be saved that when is that what christ was talking about when he said none can come to the father unless they’re drawn to him well yes uh… but also and then there he draws everybody but if you read uh… uh… chapter twelve of john he says in verse thirty two that if i be left up with speaking about going on the cross which he was i will draw all men unto me Okay, so basically he draws everybody but you can say no No, I refuse to trust Christ, you know and and those who die without Christ are gonna be lost forever But if they choose to trust Christ then they’re already

Then predestined to go to heaven if they once they believe you’re in Can I ask you one more quick question? Yeah, sure The apostle Paul and the apostle John were they the only two that were ever taken up to heaven? of the apostles? Of the apostles, yes. I should say in the New Testament those were the only two correct. I’m trying to think of somebody else but I think that’s going to be about it. Was there anybody else in the Old Testament?

Well you know Elijah, Enoch and so on were caught up. Yes. In the Old Testament they were caught up. Enoch was walking with Lord of Genesis chapter 5 one day and all of a sudden the Lord took him. Hebrews 11. They were never to return though, correct? Right, they never died. And they looked for eating spotty and it was gone. So he was bodily caught up in Elijah the same way. Right. In a fiery chariot was taken away. So those are examples.

Yeah, and I think they’re pictures of the rapture. That’s what’s gonna happen to those that are living when Christ returns. There’ll be a group exempted from death and will be caught straight up to meet the Lord in the air. I hope it’s tomorrow. It’ll be great. Thank you. All right. Thank you. That was Jeff in Venice, Florida We have now Denny in Hudson, Florida and Vinny, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the year. Dr. Hank, how are you? You’re 100% recovery.

Well, thank you. I’m almost there. I’ll tell you, I’m feeling better every day. I never felt bad. I just obviously was weakened by it and I had obviously a time when I couldn’t walk on my foot that I got the infection in, but I’m doing better every day and I thank God. And I’ve had a great experience with all of little things. a lot of people to Christ, nurses, and we have to talk to a lot of doctors about the Lord and my surgeon.

We’ve had a ball just witnessing it’s been fun. Great, great. I’ve been out of the loop for a few weeks and I kept hearing repeat shows from a couple months ago and I was gone. What happened? Oh Lord, I hope he’s all right. Then I found out what happened and I’ve been praying for you and thank the Lord for your recovery. Yeah, we had fun. We even did the part of two programs right from my hospital bed. Right, and that’s when I found out when you were half hour alive and then you’d go the other half to a tape And I said, oh, okay.

That’s what’s going on. We had a lot of fun We had hospital administrators and a lot of nervous noticing staff crowded into the room and they’re all excited and say he’s doing a live radio show Right from his bed We had fun with that Great now. I got a couple comments. I was listening to a pastor on the radio the other week And he said something that really caught my attention he said that We this country is a godless country and then he went to quote on some stats saying 60 million people claim to be Christians that leaves 240 million that don’t so theoretically this is a godless country and I had great with them and it didn’t start out that way, correct?

No, it didn’t. It started off with people that came here to escape the tyranny of the Roman Catholic Church in Europe and they came here because of their faith in Christ and the first original thirteen colonies all, if you read their constitutions, declare their faith in Christ and the reason why they established themselves was so that they could preach in freedom the gospel of Jesus Christ. And how wonderful that all 13 colonies, if you read it, it just opens and brings tears to your eyes to say, wow, what has happened when these original colonies all came here to preach Christ, they were all Christian.

And I believe that was one of the requirements to be a leader in the colony is you have to be a Christian. Well, you’re right. And boy, what has happened there? Wouldn’t it be great if we could only elect Christians to government? In those days, they definitely were looking for men of integrity and men of Christian faith to guide them and look at how God blessed our country in the early days because of that. That’s right. And this is for Harold down in Hollywood.

I know he’s listening and the Lord is touching his heart. i would like him to read romans one because in that tells us that no man will have any excuse for not believing i think how it needs to change his is titled because he claims to be a jewish atheist yes and it doesn’t and a few not believe in god at all with that is correct jewish agnostic well he sees that uh… being uh… adieu uh… not as a uh…

religious faith i think but as a uh… race all right but an atheist is someone who doesn’t believe in god that’s great i mean in roman to tell this look around you everything we see here it’s it’s his witness to us that he’s real he is alive and he created this all of it it didn’t just happen by chance uh… whole evolution or random accident it it’s got to find will that everything happened in how about thinking he’d change from an atheist to an agnostic because i did believe i heard him say that he’d he’d do it does believe in god so maybe we’re getting them closer well pre-informed i i think he’ll is open uh…

to truth and hopefully shortly he’ll come to know jesus as is messiah that’s right well you have a uh… full recovery and uh… howl i do contribute to Dr. Lindstrom i want you to know that and god bless you all and take care of that one’s all right thank you for that call it was venny in hudson florida we now have uh… Jack in Lake Worth, Florida. Jack, we want to welcome you to Bibleline and you’re on the air.

Thank you. Glad you took my call, Dr. Lindstrom. I’m a little bit troubled. Having been still raised Catholic. Yes. And what I find when I’m listening to you talk, I have a kind of a fear of anti-Semitism, especially with the actually with the Jews. I mean, this idea of, and my church does not push this, that you’re going to go to hell if you don’t believe in Christ. Well, I know the Catholic Church believes that you can go to hell without Christ.

I mean, without Christ, but the Bible teaches that there’s only one way to heaven, and that is through Christ. But we’re not anti-Semitism. I love the Jew. In fact, I’ve led tours to Israel 13 times, and I have Jewish people in my congregation that have believed on Christ as their Messiah. And my heart really is with Israel every step of the way. When I read the news each day, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for the souls of those in Israel that need to be saved.

and I’ve led many people to Christ in Israel. I’ll know my trip’s over there, but I love the Jew. And there’s no antisemitism here, but the Bible teaches. And Christ is the one who said it. He said, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life, and no man, I don’t care who they are, can come into the Father but by me. Christ was Jewish and he claims that you have to trust in himself as a Jew that was God who took on flesh to pay for our sins in order to be saved.

But why doesn’t the Catholic Church teach this then? they don’t eat it i know it is because the fifth century they went off where they derailed augustine said that god was through the jews and because they killed christ and the catholic churches down to the years called the jewish people christ killers and have kind of written them off but uh… god has written them off and they still need to be saved and god loves them in christ i thought that the catholic trick it come closer to the jose pope the late pope all the second work went to the whaling while there is a good synagogue there is a good deed up i think i think they’re trying to subtly apologize for what they did in world war two and their and their stance against israel but they still haven’t did you know your catholic church is still not recognized the state of israel

they’ve already see you know now i don’t think there’s been official regular resolution there israel is not that have it in the back of it like i said paul john paul second one over visited israel yeah that that that’s not a we’re not talking about an official recognition of the state of israel they have not done so israel does not have an ambassador to the vatican as other countries do or can they have no no recognition officially that israel is a state of bonafide country having a right to exist in the middle east is the roman have a church rejects that but that but they seem to be closer than you are to the to the jews i UCH i mean that that The Catholic Church doesn’t…no because they don’t believe in that.

The Catholic Church believes in no millennium at all. They’re all millennial and they believe that the church will establish peace on earth good will. And this dominionism teaching of the Roman Catholic Church says that they’re going to control the world and they’re going to…just like the Crusaders were the first ones who tried that. They came over there. over there to conquer the Middle East and establish Jerusalem as the head nation that they were going to be the Catholic Church would rule the world from Jerusalem.

And of course they failed. The Muslims sent them back with their tails between their legs. But that’s all a part of false theology that caused the Crusades in the beginning. But doesn’t happen? When they got there they were killing Jews all along the way. So we’re killing Jews and Muslims. That’s right. The church has a history of, and I don’t deny this one bet. I’m very critical. It has a history of anti-Semitism. Martin Luther was in his late years, spoke about burning synagogues.

He was very anti-Semitic in his late years. Well, it’s unfortunate that anybody would be anti-Semitic because God so loved the world. He loved everybody. And anti-Semitism is really of the devil. We should love everybody. And I certainly love the Jews. So there’s no anti-Semitism here. But the Bible does teach that those that die without Christ, I don’t care whether they’re Jewish, Catholic, Baptist, or Lutheran, or Methodist, or whatever, they’ll go to help.

That’s not anti-Semitism. It’s God said the whole world is lost. Jesus came to save us, and if we reject Christ, we go to hell. I hope you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior because… Oh yeah, but that’s not the problem I have. As a matter of fact, you read… You haven’t read Hell, Lindsay’s book. I take it. The Holocaust? I haven’t read that one. I urge you to read it because he talks about the God has a plan for the Jews.

He doesn’t talk about going to hell either. So I really love to have you read the book and comment, because I’d really love to see your opinion on this. Jack, I’ll do it. I’ll get it. Thank you very much. Swansea, I’ll get it. All right. Thank you, Jack. That was Jack and the Jewish person and the Gentile, both. You know, all of the first Christians were Jews. All the disciples were Jews. Christ was a Jew. And God, of course, provided salvation through Christ, who came out of the tribe of Judah.

And in the book of Revelation, it’s called The Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Without Christ, you cannot make heaven. I don’t care who you are. I hope you Bibleline 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Be sure to tune into another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. Well, I’m Dr. Englishman. It’s been great to be with you today. We have some wonderful collars and some that couldn’t get up on the air. And of course, you’re welcome to call back again tomorrow and we’ll try to get you up then or you can leave an offer.

Question. We’ll try to get to those as we can. We’re building up again and we got a bunch that we have to tackle. Maybe we can get some of those done tomorrow. We just appreciate all of you who listen every day. God bless you and thank you for being a part of the program. We hope that you’re being blessed by Bible and if you are, if you could help us, it would be great because we really hate to talk about money and I wish I didn’t have to.

But yet, I believe God wants it that way because He wants us to partner together and that you could share in the blessings of Bible and in its outreach by being a part of getting it out there by being the support, by being the means financially to make sure that we’re on the air. And so I think as you partner with us, you’ll share equally with us in the rewards, the blessings that will come as a result. So as a believer, we are actually privileged to be able to invest in eternity, whereas unbelievers don’t have that opportunity at all.

That we as believers can lay up treasures in heaven as Christ said in Matthew chapter He warns us, totally have treasures here on the earth because they’ll be stolen or they’ll be eaten up by rust or eaten by moths if it’s clothing and so on. Lay up your treasures in heaven and there are no thieves and there’s no rust and there’s no moths to eat up your clothing. We’ll have those blessings and rewards forever and ever and ever. You could do that by calling our 800 number and giving a gift by credit card today and I I hope you would consider doing that.

I want to thank you in advance to all of you who pray for and give to Bibleline and are behind us here and keeping us on the air as you give your support to us to keep this program going. God bless you and thank God for all of you. We’ll be back again tomorrow. It’ll be Friday and we hope that we’ll have a wonderful day tomorrow here on Bibleline. And then of course, the week it’ll be upon us. We’ll be back again on Monday.

Keep looking up, Jesus is coming, and we believe very soon, and I’ll see you when we meet in the air. Take care.
