It says here, if you will, in verse 24 in the interpretation of the dream, it says here or the vision. It says the ten horns out of this kingdom, which is Rome, are ten kings that shall arise. That’s in the last days right now. I think you were living in the last days. And then it says another. So if you have ten, we have another, which means eleven. We are the 11th that comes out of the 10 and is younger than and stronger than the 10.

And notice it says, he shall be diverse from the first. And look at the last phrase, verse 24 again. He shall subdue three kings. So three of the 10 kings, he’s going to subdue them. It will be easy for our president to do that. Isn’t that interesting by coincidence? No, but our military is sitting right there parked ready to take it over in a heartbeat. That’s why it could happen so quickly. And this seven-year tribulation could get on real quickly with the Antichrist controlling Europe and taking over the Middle East.

Then it says in verse 25, he shall speak against words against the Most High and shall wear out. The word, wear out there in the Hebrew, if you’re looking up in your concordance means to brainwash. Brainwash the saints of the Most High. So those have become believers in the tribulation period and maybe this side of the rapture, people are going to be kind of brainwashed and mesmerized to believe that this guy is a good guy when he’s really a bad guy.

And that’s what is so subtle about the anacrites because he will appear to be at the beginning Christ-like. And people say, this guy is wonderful. This is just what the world needs. He needs this guy and then this brainwashing that has taken place will come to reality in that he’s not a good guy but a bad guy. He’ll think to change the times and the laws and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

In other words, a lot of things would change in these end times and we’ve already seen that. And I think part of it is, of course, women being treated. Equally with men and going to war with men, the unisex idea certainly is an in-time thing where we see that happening today and hadn’t happened before. And a woman is no longer treated separately as a woman but is now treated as a man. It says here, a time and times and half of time.

Nobody knew what that meant until the book of Revelation was written. And in the book of Revelation, that phrase is made equivalent to three and a half years to the last three and a half years of the tribulation period. So we now know that time means one year, times means two years, so one plus two is three, and a half a time, or the dividing of time, is a half a year. So you have one plus two plus a half has three and a half years, and so the Antichrist will rule for the last three and a half years of the seven-year tribulation period.

And then it says in verse 26, the judgments shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion. That’s the Antichrist, and consume and destroy it to the end. And then the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominion shall serve and obey him.” That’s when Christ comes back and all of the kingdoms of this world will now come under Christ’s control.

And this will be the kingdom which is the kingdom controlled by the heavens where the heavens will rule over the earth and Christ will be here from heaven. Ruling over the earth from Jerusalem will occur and that is after the Antichrist is ruled for the last three and a half years in charge of the Western nations. Now, there’s a lot more in this chapter, but we’re going to quit right here because we want to pick up in verse 9 next week and fill in the blanks.

But you are now given a little bit of an advantage knowing what’s going to take place. Daniel 7, 8, and notice verse 24 of chapter 7 tells us about an 11th nation. We are that nation. And what is our symbol? The Eagle and the Eagle’s Wings. And that was the ancient symbol of Rome as well. This symbol has carried on and we’re the last form of Rome and we are Roman in almost every way and we are the Eagle country that will take our forces back into the Middle East and establish ourselves in Iraq and we’re already watching that happen.

And the Middle Eastern countries are right now afraid, aren’t they? Bush has shaken his hand and said, we’re going to bring peace to the Middle East. And he’s telling the head of Syria what you need to do. He’s telling the head of Iran, rather, what you need to do. He’s telling North Korea what they need to do. He’s telling Europe what they need to do. This is an unusual leader we have right now and it looks like we’re at the time when it’s all going to come to pass.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if it could all happen this year. On the Jewish New Year, which is the time of year, and probably the rapture will happen whatever year it takes place, and could it be that maybe this year will be the year, this fall that the Lord will catch us out. Now I’m not a date setter, so don’t run out of here and tell people I said that the Lord was going to come this year. But certainly as we speculate, as we watch, is it interesting to look for signs of things that are coming?

The Bible said there’d be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars. The sun, the moon, and the stars are mentioned in Luke 21, 25. We’ve already seen the way it’s roaring in a tsunami that came across the Pacific and lots of things are happening perplexity among nations as they are at war with each other with a hatred that is not easily resolved and all the other things that are beginning to come to pass right now I think we’re living close.

So it could be. I’m just saying we ought not to say it couldn’t happen this year. God I certainly be on guard and alert that it could. In In other words, let’s take maximum advantage of this year and use it all out for God because it could be our last year. There’s a day coming, you know. I lost my son in a car accident and he was 16. When I said goodbye to him that morning as he drove off to school, high school, I never thought that would be the last day I’d ever see him.

You never know what day will be the last day. You’ll see your loved ones, your friends. And all of a sudden, it could be the last day. And this year could be our last year. And hindsight is always 20-20. But I think we need to be alert that Christ’s coming is certainly coming close. And we shouldn’t say He couldn’t come this year, but we read He in case He does. And there are certainly enough things to look at right now in the news.

And I have the articles up here about pestilence. This one here is today’s paper. It says hospitals, not giving antibiotics properly, it says 90,000 Americans die from infections they pick up in the hospital every year. 90,000 Americans, that’s a lot more than been killed in Iraq. We’re upset about Iraq, but what about we should be outraged? We ought to be picketing every hospital. 90,000 Americans dying in our hospitals every year from infections they pick up in the hospital and how many just about 2,000 killed in Iraq?

1,400, 1,400 soldiers so far in Iraq. 1,400 as opposed to 90,000, that’s no comparison at all. We’re killing obviously, you know, many times more, a hundred times more in our hospitals than we killed in Iraq in this war. That’s this morning’s paper. Then we have this deadly bird fluid that they’re talking about that made my great across the world, if it does, they say maybe 30 million people will die. There’s no cure. 72% of the people who get this flu will die.

If you get it, you’re going to die. No cure. No cure. This is today’s paper also. We’re talking about things that are in your headlines that ought to scare the life out of you. And this is every day. This is interesting. It’s a different world than we used to live in. And undrafted, maybe this is the last time Christ said there would It would be pestilences, diseases, earthquakes, wars, and rumors of wars, racial problems. We’re seeing it all develop and we’re seeing it happen right before I.

I don’t know. I’m trying to maximize the use of what I can do to do what I can do this year because it might be our last year. Thank you for joining us. We hope that you’re enjoying today’s teaching on the book of Daniel. You’re listening to Bibleline with your host, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Now please join us for a segment featuring Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers. We’re going to go right now to George and Palm Harbor and George welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. Actually what I called is I have a gentleman that has a problem with you saying John McCarthy from MacArthur. MacArthur is a legalist. He did read what you had on your website and he did mention that David Jeremiah said he wrote a great book and if you could elaborate a little more on why he’s going to listen why you think he’s a legalist and also one other question and i will listen off the phone is uh…

as far as the rapture somebody’s hanging in hat on second cessellonians chapter two refutes the rapture all not at all it is supports it okay we’ll talk about that okay i’ll listen but mccarthy was probably the most important but uh… yeah he was kind of indicated by uh… gerrymiah so that was what it was about okay all right well anyway john MacArthur is a five point calvines and if you heard a series that he taught on the radio he tells you that uh…

god uh… unconditionally select you but the fifth point of calvines m is where the calvines all seem to bring works in through the back door they say you must persevere that is called a perseverance of the saints and if you are truly saved they say you will persevere and live the Christian life out to your very last day on the planet. And you’ll continually gain new strides and there’ll be continual changes in a positive way in your Christian life.

Or… You haven’t been chosen. You’re not one of the chosen at all. So basically in John MacArthur’s book, Hard to Believe, which I really think it’s hard to believe what he wrote in that book. But John MacArthur says that you could live your Christian life up until the last two weeks and then turn away from the Lord and then you wouldn’t be saved because you were not chosen because you didn’t persevere to the end. So it’s basically works. It’s all about works.

His main passage he likes to use is Matthew chapter 19 where the rich young man, comes to Christ and says, what good thing must I do that I may inherit eternal life? Totally messes up there. It doesn’t understand what the passage is talking about. He doesn’t tell the man to work his way to heaven. He tells him that he cannot work his way to heaven. It’s impossible. And even Christ makes that statement plain. With men, this is impossible. With God it’s possible for you to become as righteous as God or Christ.

So with men it’s impossible, and only those who follow Christ in the new birth in Matthew 19 it says will have or inherit eternal life. So eternal life is a gift. It’s received by faith, but John makes something else totally out of Matthew 19 and makes up the building stone for all of his doctrine about you must have works to be saved. So anyway, it’s kind of like speaking out of two sides of your mouth. The Calvinists will say on one hand that works have nothing to do with your salvation, God elects you.

But on the other hand, when they come to the fifth point of Calvinism, they will come back around and say that unless you have works, you aren’t chosen. So they’ll say, and this is a subtlety, people will say that are Calvinists generally, do you have saving faith? And people who hadn’t even considered that say, well, I have faith in Christ, but what What do you mean by saving faith? Well they’ll say saving faith is aSanders working faithossieragarainctions.Interstitial474eligibleSamsung You’lllein Andirlwindaunders You’re saving your life forever and ever and ever and ever.

As far as the rapture being refuted by. but second thessalonians, that’s craziness. Verse three is talking about the rapture. Theyaily. The Greek word means the departure. The Greek word means the departure. If it’s a departure from doctrine, then it would be apostasy. Many teach that this is an apostasy that will happen. Of course, there will be apostasy in the last days. But it’s talking about the departure there of If you read the following verses, it talks about the one who is restraining evil in this world today, the Holy Spirit will be taken out and he is the one that is departing and when the Holy Spirit goes we go because he involves us permanently.

So it says when that happens then the Antichrist will be revealed, who is not revealed until after the Rapture, but then in verse 8 we see the second coming where Christ comes back and actually destroys this wicked one, this Antichrist who will be revealed. The one who is described there in verse 3 as the son of Perdition and the one who is the evil or wicked one. Hope that helps a little bit. We’re now going to go to Esther and to bury Florida and Esther, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

I really enjoy your ministry. I have a question. I was at my job and I ran into Jehovah Witness and he just told me that Jehovah Bible was written by non-religious Hebrew and Greek scholars and he said that it was the most close-act grit Bible. I was wondering what your comment on that was. First of all okay I’ll go ahead and hang up and then listen to your comment okay. Okay Esther over there on the east coast of Florida in DeBary, Florida and Esther the Jehovah’s Witnesses Bible they call it the emphatic diagonal is actually a a deliberate attempt on the part of the witnesses to change doctrines and twist the Bible, and it’s not very accurate at all.

And what is so interesting is they continually change it. I have a copy here, not too many feet away from my hand, of the emphatic dogma copyrighted back in 1942. Guess what? The one that they will show you today is not the same. Ha ha ha ha. So if it’s so accurate and so trustworthy, why have they changed it secretly so that you don’t even know about it. I like to collect old witnesses books and I have got a lot of them way back and they have changed so many doctrines since them because they find themselves in a quandary when they get statements out there that are wrong and they have to change the Bible and they have to change their kingdom hall books in order to conform to the changes where they have found themselves to be in error and found themselves to be wrong and they

deny that they even do this. So it is really a crazy world. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are lost without Christ, and that’s exactly where they are. And the Bible says that in Philippians chapter 2 that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ So, in fact, it’s a situation where Jesus is Jehovah or Yahweh. Unless they change their mind and trust Christ now, they will eventually inhale that they don’t believe in, will bow their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Jehovah or Yahweh.

Obviously, they need to do it now so that they don’t wind up in hell. But that is a sad thing that the witnesses don’t get that right. from the berry florida we’re not going to go to orlando and he lives in orange city florida orlando you’re here hey good morning i’ve left you i was watching over the weekend i thought that you’re one of the speakers on that the seven-day finish uh… amazing facts you probably know who you are yes i think that and he uh…

he was talking about matthew uh… ten twenty-eight about you know he was because that i know that that that that that that that that god’s gonna destroy uh… one for ever everybody in hell and then it’s not a bit of a memory of a minute they don’t believe in everlasting punishment and he said that um… he says uh… mattie’s when he says that if you’re those that are gonna kill kill the party and the soul and destroyed and they will be the he said they will be destroyed in hell and help if they were what destroyed is destroyed once is destroyed you know they just don’t live anymore so i’ll just hang up and i just was to your time i think that but actually it’s not right the word destroyed really is from the greek word up a luminae and it means to to lose or

uh… to be lost or or separated but the lost will be separated from god in hell forever and ever and ever and obviously the many many verses uh… in the bible uh… really point that out it says that they uh… really appointed to the midst of darkness forever, that they’ll be cast into the lake of fire where they’ll be tormented day and night forever and ever. In Revelation 14, it talks about the loss of experiencing no rest, day nor night, forever and ever.

Obviously, everywhere you look, the word eternal is connected with hell. The same word eternal that is included in eternal life. So if hell is not eternal, then there is no such thing as eternal life. If hell is not eternal, then God is not eternal because it talks about God being the eternal God. It talks about the Holy Spirit being the eternal spirit. It’s the same word eternal that’s applied to hell. So nothing’s eternal if hell is an eternal accord of the Bible because the same words are used and obviously the seven-dad minutes don’t believe in hell.

They believe in soul sleep. They believe in works or salvation. They believe if you worship on Sunday, that you have the mark of the beast. And if you worship on Saturday, you have the mark of the living God. They believe in so many false things. It’s really, they’ll never get straight till they just take all the books by LNG White and burn them. Because they read the Bible through the lenses of LNG White. And until they just toss their books out, they’ll never come clean on all the false doctrines that they believe.

Because they’re all in the writings of LNG White. And so they accept those above the scriptures. And there is no book above the scriptures. The Word of God, the Bible says, is God’s Word and there’s nothing higher in authority than God’s Word. Everything in this book is going to happen and come to pass as God said. And the Bible says the Word of God liveth in a byth forever and ever and ever and ever. So obviously the Ridesvillean G-White will not be around forever, but as long as they’re still around, the seven dead minutes are not going to get it right.

To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to 1 Corinthians and we’re going to take a look at chapter 3 where we have the judgment seat of Christ. The judgment seat of Christ which is the judgment coming up for all believers. It will take place at the event of the Rapture. And that’s when the believers of this age which began at Pentecost and will end at the Rapture are going to be judged according to their works to determine the degree of reward that they’ll receive in heaven.

This is for believers only, and if you are an unbeliever, then you’ll stand at another judgment that occurs a thousand years later called the Great White Throne Judgment, where all of the unsavably brought up and judged according to their works and assigned a degree of punishment in hell. So we learn according to the Bible, when you trust Christ as Savior, you become saved and you will go to heaven. But you will be judged at the Judgement sheet of Christ as to your works for degree of reward or loss of reward, but the unbeliever who will go to hell because he is an unbeliever will be judged according to his works to determine the degree of punishment that he will receive in hell.

Well, 1 Corinthians chapter 3 describes this judgment where it says in verse 11, for other foundation can no man lay, then that is laid which is Jesus Christ. So the foundation is Christ and only believers have this foundation and so only Christians will be standing at this judgment. mercial The Filled upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, it mentions six different kinds of building materials here. The gold, silver, and precious stones represent things that are done that are lasting, that will endure the flames flames that will test these works and the wood hands, some will represent things that done for self and our temporal will be burnt up and bring no reward in heaven.

Verse 13 says, Every man’s work shall be manifest or made known, for the day shall declare it that is the judgment seat of Christ, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try not the man, but every man’s work of what sort it is. So the fire will sort out your works. It will all be piled up, fire will hit it, and those things which are done for self-wood hand stubble will be burned up and nothing left but ashes, but those things which are done for Christ will last and be rewarded and you’ll have rewards in heaven.

Verse 14 says, If any man’s work abide which you have built there upon, he shall receive a reward. So in other words, if the fire tries your works and you’ve done things that are worthy of reward, things that are represented here by goals over precious stones, they’ll be purified and they will remain and you will receive a reward. But verse 15 says, If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer lost at his loss of reward, but he himself shall be saved, yet so has my fire.

What is so interesting about this verse is obviously it implies here that somebody could live out their whole life and do nothing for Christ, zero for Christ, have their works all burned up, suffer the loss of reward, but yet it says here very clearly they would still be saved. They would still be saved. I hear all the time that unless your life changes, unless you gain new heights every day as you’re on your upward way, that you won’t make heaven.

That’s craziness. The Bible doesn’t teach that. The Bible teaches that you’re saved at the moment you believe forever based upon the finished work of Christ at the cross, that He paid our sin debt in full. And once you trust Him, you receive that gift of eternal life. It’s offered completely free. And here it tells us in verse 15 of 1 Corinthians 3 that at the judgment seat of Christ, when believers will stand there and give it account for what they’ve done since they’ve been saved.

If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss that’s loss of reward. But notice he’ll be saved because he’s not saved by his works. He’s saved by trusting Christ as Savior. And so he’s saved because he has the foundation of Christ by trusting him as Savior, but his works might be burned up. and he will suffer the loss of rewards for eternity in heaven, but he still will be saved, yet so as by fire.” Verse 8 tells us in this wonderful chapter, every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.

So we know that believers are going to be held accountable one day, and they will receive their own reward according to their own labor. Not their good intentions, but what they actually did, whatever you do for Christ will be remembered. Whatever you do for Christ will be recorded and rewarded, but it has nothing to do with your salvation. The Bible tells us our salvation has nothing to do with our works, but rewards have to do with our works. And that’s what this verse is saying here.

Every man, verse 8 of 1 Corinthians 3, shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break into the second half hour, Bibleize. Now please join us as we return to our question and answer segment and then we’ll return for more Bible teaching from Dr. Lynchdrum. We have Tina in Clearwater Florida and Tina, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, hi. This is Tina and I have a question. Last week I heard you say something about the NIV Bible is related to the Jehovah Witness Bible.

They are the same. They are almost identical. If you look at the Jehovah’s Witness Bible, the New World Translation and you look at the NIV, the new international version, even the titles are about the same. New and new, same. and world and international, same, and inversion or translation, same. So the title is even the same. But the NIV drops 44 verses in their entirety. And guess what? The Jehovah’s Witness Bible drops the same 44 verses in their entirety. Do you think they got together?

It’s kind of interesting. Both try to attack the doctrine of hell, and the witnesses, of course, deny hell. And they try hard in their new world translation to get rid of hell. Guess what? Same thing happens in the NIV. They try to do away with the doctrine of hell. We have a quiz here that will send you a free charge and it has questions that are on the 44 verses that are dropped. So if someone takes their NIV Bible and tries to take that quiz, they’ll get a zero.

And boy, is that a wake up. That is a wake up. If you’ll just call back and ask for that NIV quiz to be sent to you, we’ll send you some and you can have fun with your friends and have the NIV because they’re going to get a zero. It’ll be a wake up like, whoa, these verses aren’t even in my Bible. Well, that’s the Bible. The NIV is what my idiomoc bad to church uses. Well, the pastor needs to know that he’s got a bad Bible that he’s using you.

We have a book here called New Age Bible Versions that really does an in-depth study. He has about 800 pages and shows you what’s going on with these new translations. The NIV is one of the worst. One of the worst. Wow. Okay. And I can get it and you said I can order that quiz that you have. And you can order the book also. You might want to buy the book for your pastor and say, and just maybe outline the chapters that deal with the NIV and say, please read this and maybe reconsider.

Okay. Okay. Okay, yeah, I will because I’ve just been baptized in the church and I just I love the church and he just reads the Bible and explains it but when I heard you make the comment about the Jehovah Witnesses is the same as the NIV. That’s a shocker, isn’t it? Yes, yes, it is a shocker. Something that I can show my pastor. There you go. We will have it for you here. Okay, thank you so much. I’ll stand the line and I’ll give you my address.

Okay, thank you Tina. Thank you. and Tina will put you on hold and our prayers will pick you up over there. We’re now going to go to Matthew in Spring Hill. Matthew, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Good morning, pastor. I’m wondering, in the parable of the Virgin, who do the foolish virgins represent? Unsaved. Verse 12 makes it very clear. Matthew 25, 12, it says, I know you not. Now, when you become a believer, Christ knows every believer that belongs to him.

Timothy 2 19 says the foundation of the Lord’s status sure having this foundation that the Lord knows those that are his and He says to these foolish virgins I know you not which means they were not saved never saved didn’t lose their salvation He says I simply don’t know you you’re not one of mine He knows those that are his that if you’ve trusted Christ. He knows who you are and you’re his forever Amen, and also can you talk a little bit a member in class you talked about the important?

I’m going to talk about the importance of knowing your saved. Absolutely. Yeah. All right. I sure will, Matthew. It’s so important to know because if you don’t have assurance, then you’re dead in the water. What kind of witness will you be for Christ if you don’t have a clue as to where you’re going to go when you die? Would you go up to somebody lost and say, hey, how would you like to be as confused as I am? I have no clue where I’m going when I die and I’m just absolutely totally messed up.

up and my brain is scrambled, wouldn’t you like to become like me? You have no witness, you have nothing to say. What would you say to somebody who’s lost? You’ve got to be able to say, I know. I love that hymn, don’t you? Blessed Assurance. Jesus is mine. Oh, what a forte taste of glory divine. You know, as a believer, we can be assured of that salvation that we have and know it. And it’s that kind of confidence that makes a bold, effective witness for Jesus Christ.

If you don’t have any assurance, I guarantee you, you’re not witnessing. You’re not a witness. You’re not the ambassador to God wants you to be as a Christian unless you’re assured. I remember years ago as a brand new believer, I read the book by Harry Ironsides, Full Assurance. It was published by Moody at that time. I don’t even think it’s available anymore, but what a great book. And that phrase comes right out of the book of Hebrews and how important it was, he pointed out, to be a fully assured of your salvation to know that you know that you know that you’re saved and 1 John 5 13 says I’ve written this to you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life and how great that is to be able to have that assurance when you go to bed at night to know that if she

should die in the night you would go to be with the Lord before the the Son would come up. We’re going to now go to Tom in Lakeland Florida and Tom welcome to by the land you’re on the air i’ve asked her uh… i had a question i watch it dvd saw this dvd the other day where the man was claiming that uh… it’s pretty much using the old testament that when you’re dead you’re in the grave and you never come up to christy turns but the pastors are always saying uh…

absent from the body present with the lord is there a difference between the old testament in new testament where they thought the old testament like in jobe and david in the sams and stuff and in the New Testament idea? Well, the whole point is that after we’re in the body present with the Lord, but the body is spoken of as sleeping in the grave till the resurrection. So if I were to die today, and let’s say the rapture were tomorrow, I would still be absent my body until the Lord returns at the rapture if that were to happen tomorrow and get my new body tomorrow.

But I would lose this body today. So some people have been dead now for hundreds of years and they’re present with the Lord, but they don’t get their new body till the Lord returns. Or even the Old Testament saints, they’re with the Lord and they don’t have their new bodies either. In fact, we get our bodies, those saved between Pentecost and the Rapture, the church age will get their bodies seven years earlier than the Old Testament saints because we get ours at the Rapture, but seven years later at the end of the tribulation period is when Christ gives the Old Testament saints their bodies.

So I’m going to get my resurrection body seven years ahead of Noah, seven years ahead of Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, the prophet David and all the others. So I get my body early. So your soul, your soul is there in heaven, absent with the body, present with the Lord, but your body is not going to make it till Christ returns. That’s right. That’s when the resurrection is and he doesn’t give out the body so that time of the resurrection. Thank you pastor.

You’re very welcome and And thank you for the call, Tom, in Lakeland, Florida, listening in and calling in. The Bible has the answers, and most people today are not reading their Bible. Churches are not teaching the Bible, and so people are left in the dark because the Bible is the light that is the light our way. And if you’re not reading your Bible, you’re going to be most likely tricked or deceived or misled by people who say things that you might say, well, that sounds like what the The Bible says, unless you read it for yourself, you won’t know.

And you really got to be on your toes today. Larry in Manson, Michigan calls in and leaves us off your question. How do you explain the hell is an eternal and a place of torment, a place of torment and fire? Well, I don’t know if I explain it, but that’s what the Bible teaches and I believe it. When we find that it’s a place where Christ says in Mark 9, 3 times, He says, the soul will never die, and the fire will never be quenched.

Wow. He says, hell is a place where the soul will never die, and the fire… The Bible will never be quenched. The fire will learn forever. Larry also says, would you please explain the word perish? Well, the word perish speaks of death, and the Bible talks about the wages of sin is death. And so it’s twofold. When you and I are without Christ, we’ll experience two deaths, physical death, and that is the separation of your soul from your body.

And then the second death, which is the separation of your soul from God in hell for all. ever and ever and ever. But if you become born again, if you become a believer, you’ll only die once. The second death, the Bible says, has no power on those that are saved. And so you will not experience the second death. And maybe if you’re living at the time of the Rapture, which is a good chance that we will be, you may not even die once.

The Bible talks about a group exempted from death. Those that are living at the time of the Rapture will be caught up and transformed into their new bodies on the way up. We have Rod in Charles City, Virginia calls in and he says, does God send you a mate? What if you don’t like them? Or what when they die and you get a second best is God a genie, of course. That’s all craziness, but God’s certain will guide your steps.

You know, throughout the Bible, God has put people together for a lifetime, and you have to obviously seek the Lord in that. And if you’re a believer, there are some rules that God has set down. First of all, a believer is not to marry an unbeliever. So if you’re looking for a mate, then you need to be looking where you’ll find another believer. So most likely, you might find another believer possible mate if you’re single looking for a wife or woman looking for her husband that you’d find another believer so you need to find out where they hang out.

And the Lord does you pursue him and if you really want to find God’s will, he will bring the right person across your path, no doubt about him. You know when Eliaeser was sent out in the Old Testament to find a wife for Isaac, he said I being in the way the Lord led me a great verse on knowing God’s will. And God obviously led him right to the very woman that would be the wife for Isaac. And he brought her back on this caravan.

And Isaac was excited to meet that bride. And when he saw her and the caravan coming, he ran out to meet her there in the field. And of course she got off the camel and they became married. And of course children were Jacob and Esau. and we know Jacob became the father of the nation of Israel. Exciting stuff, but yes, don’t give up hope. Trust the Lord and He will guide you in your steps. And I love Proverbs three, five, and six.

Trust the Lord with all your heart. Lean on into your own understanding in all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We hope that you’ve enjoyed it and that you are growing in your knowledge about the word of God. Now please join us as we continue the book of Daniel teaching series from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Christ said there would be pestilences, diseases, earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, racial problems, we’re seeing it all develop and we’re seeing it happen right before our eyes. I don’t know. I’m trying to maximize the use of what I can do to do what I can do this year because it might be our last year.

And I’d hate to look back later and say, Lord, I just thought I had 10 more years since I’ve coasted. I mean, I don’t want to coast if we should be running, right? I think if we ought to be in full gear headed toward the price return, at the same time, I’m not going to set a date and tell you that he is coming this year when maybe it isn’t this year, but I think we certainly ought to all be on alert.

The signs are about us, that Christ coming is getting nearer. And this is a time to say, wow, we need to apply the Scriptures to our lives and live in that urgency and expectancy of Christ’s return. And I’ll tell you one thing, it brings a lot of excitement to your life. And if you dropped back over a hundred years ago, look at what our life would have been like. No television, no telephone, no cell phones, no beepers, all of our modern appliances, Airplanes, I mean the thought that I could get in an airplane this last week and four and a half hours later step out 2,200 miles west of Tampa in California would have been mind boggling for somebody who lived 150 years ago to think that that could even happen.

It’s just really amazing and travel is going to get faster and they’re talking about traveling that maybe in an hour, an hour and a half in the future and some of these newer planes are going to develop. And this latest new plane they’re developingimura has three floors in it. The second floor is all shops, beauty salons and restaurants and you can just enjoy, it’ll hold about 800 passengers and it’ll travel in luxuryEPA. You old by sleeping accommodations on the plane and you can shower println the plane and You believe Christ is coming back before that airplane gets off the ground, but we’re really living in a most spectacular time in history.

And certainly, I think it’s the times that God has spoken about citiz. All right, we’re in the book of Daniel. This is class number six. And so we are right here in the thick of some exciting material. Daniel chapter seven in the first part by way of review, we have four world powers described to us. In verse four, we have this empire that was like a lion that with eagle’s wings and it is the Babylonian empire. the Empire. Scofield’s notes are very good.

It says here under verse 3, the world empire of Nebuchadnezzar and equivalent to over in Daniel 2 in the image that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed about the head of gold. Then we have in verse 5 another world power which is the world empire of media Persia and compares to the shoulders and the arms of the image of Nebuchadnezzar over in chapter 2 and Schofield gives you the verse that addresses that. And then we have verse 6, the world empire of Greece under Alexander and it was like unto a leopard.

And we have the verses there that show the belly of the image was made of brass and that was the Grecian Empire. And then verse 7 is the Roman Empire. And it is the part of the image in Daniel 2 of the thighs and the legs as Rome really kind of split into two powers, the Eastern and Western divisions, the one headed up by Rome and the other of Constantinople. And then there are ten toes which represent ten nations that would apparently come back together in the last days which we believe is seen in the European common market.

Then verse eight, the verse that we parked on a little bit last week I considered the horns and behold there came up among them another little horn. So as I shared last week I was studying this and I said oh my goodness I’ve never seen this before most Bible teachers miss it. It’s amazing to me they only see ten but if you have as I discovered in first and second grade if If you have ten apples and you have another apple, you have eleven apples.

And guess what? You have ten horns and then it says you have another little horn. That’s eleven nations. And the eleventh nation comes up out of the ten and the only nation in the world that’s been really spawned by Europe is us. We are an extension of Rome. And so much of our society is based on coming out of Europe and the Roman type of government. We have our Senate, like the Roman had their Senate, and our whole legal structure, the The rotunda of the Capitol Building is built exactly as per the dimensions of the Pantheon in Rome.

And just so many things are so similar and we’re in extension of ancient Rome, I believe, here in America. And so this is an interesting passage, and so the little there refers perhaps to the fact of the youngness of this nation. So we are a young nation, only a little over 200 years old, as compared to the 200 rather 2000 year history of Europe. And then it says before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots and behold, this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things.

So what I believe this is saying is that this 11th nation and the leader of it are so connected that the little horn is the 11th nation, the United States of America. And the little horn is also the leader of that nation. At the time when it all comes to pass, he’ll be the Antichrist. So the Antichrist becomes the leader of the 11th nation at the appropriate time and maybe we’re looking at the Antichrist right now. Maybe somewhere in the power structure.

We’ve given different scenarios how these things could happen rather quickly. Somewhere in the chain of authority, somebody might be lurking as the potential Antichrist and it could happen that quick. The rapture could change it. It could happen at any event, at any time, it could happen rather quickly where there’d be a change in the leader of the country. So we’re just speculating, I’m not naming it Antichrist. I’m just saying that we’re living close. The Antichrist will really not be revealed according to 2nd Thessalonians chapter two until after the rapture.

So who is, you know, we just can speculate only and just guess and who knows. but the real Antichrist will come to power after the tribulation has begun. But then when it says here that three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots, I take it that the Antichrist will take over Europe militarily. It can happen in a heartbeat, especially since our military is already there. And obviously, we’re there in England and France and Germany, and it could be that as As the Supreme Commander of this country, the person in charge after the rapture at the time it takes place could order the takeover of Europe.

They’d have to take those three countries. The rest would just give up and we would control Europe. Europe and America then will control all of what was ancient Assyria. And this is how the Antichrist gets the title the Assyrian. Some have said the Antichrist will be born in the Middle East because he’s called the Assyrian, but he becomes the Assyrian by right of conquering what it was Assyria. And so he becomes the leader over Assyria. And that is one of the titles of the Antichrist.

We’re going to go over to the little book of Micah. Are you ready? Micah. And it’s over to your right, somewhere between Matthew and Daniel. So let’s see if we can find it here. It’s going to be Jonah and then Micah. And it’ll be on page 948 where we’re going to be looking. Page 948, are you ready? We’re watching things happen. We’d like to continue with Dr. Lynch from his teaching. We are almost out of time for today. Next time on Bibleline, we’ll continue the teaching on the Book of Daniel.

Every man, verse 8 of 1 Corinthians 3, shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. So rewards are based upon labor. Salvation is in every case presented as God’s gift. So obviously, salvation has nothing to do with our works, and a person could live out their Christian life and not serve the Lord one day, not do one thing worthy of reward, and still be saved, but yet they would suffer the loss of reward. I’m glad I learned about this as a young believer because I realized, whoa, my life was not involved in doing things for God.

And so I was going to enter heaven as a believer with no rewards. And I decided I better do something about that. So I chose to start living for Christ. As you live for Christ, as you give of your time and your talents and your treasures to the Lord, you’re laying up treasure in heaven. And the Bible says that that is treasure that will be there forever. You can’t take it with you when you die, but you can send it ahead if you live for Christ.

And Jesus tells us in Matthew 6, lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. The way we do that is by living for Christ here. So what are you doing on earth for heaven’s sake? In other words, what are you doing in this lifetime that will bring about an eternity of reward. One of the five martyred missionaries down in Ecuador many years ago said he is no fool. This was Jim Elliott, one of those that were martyred. And he says he is no fool who gives up that which he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.

What a great quote. He is no fool who gives up that which he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. You and I, we can’t keep anything that we have here. We’re going to leave it behind when we die, but we can spend our time and our talents and our treasures here and be laying up for ourselves rewards in heaven for eternity. And of smart believer will be serving and be doing things that are going to count for eternity.

And God is going to reward everything you do. Nothing will be forgotten. I always marvel at the story of the little widow that when the disciples were at the temple They saw rich men offering huge offerings into the treasury there at the temple in Jerusalem during Christ’s day. And they were just pointing it out to Christ and just with their tongues hanging out of their mouths and they just are just in awe at this giving by very rich people a large offering.

And Jesus takes their eyes away to a little woman, a widow, and he says that she gave more than these rich men. Because she gave all her living. She had only one coin. It was the last coin that she possessed. And she gave it as an offering. And God has immortalized this woman by letting us know that this woman’s gift was greater because percentage-wise she gave 100 percent while the rich men still had much left over that they kept for themselves.

And so whatever you give is going to be remembered just like God saw, that little woman give her might. And she is remembered through Scripture now for these thousands of years since. And we know that God notices everything we do. And no matter how small or insignificant it might seem to you or to me. God sees your heart and He sees what you have given or what you have done. And He’ll reward that in heaven one day. And the Bible tells us that we ought to be living here, recognizing that what we do for Christ is going to count forever.

But what we do for self will be burned up and will not last. Everything on this earth and the earth itself will one day be burned up by fire. And only the things that we’ve done for Christ will last. Will you have any treasure in heaven? My friend, you can start today. Start reading your Bible. Start sharing it with others. Start living for Christ and you’ll have rewards in heaven. In any case, we’ve got to run, but we’ll be back tomorrow.

So keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we’ll See you soon. God bless and have a great day. We’ll see you tomorrow, here on Bible Life.
