Now if you can, please open your Bibles to the book of Daniel, Chapter 11, and join us for Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching for today. verse 37 telling us about the Antichrist. It says, neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any God, for he shall magnify himself above all. The first phrase might intimate to us that he has Jewish blood somewhere in his veins, because the God of his fathers might be a reference to the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and he disregards the the Bible and God to God of the Bible to God of the universe to God of creation.

Nor does he regard the desire of women. Many have said that this means the inner Christ will not desire women. That is not what it’s saying. It says he will not regard the desire that women have. And I take it that that means that they have a desire to have children and have a home, and that he will disregard that. We’re living in a time now where we have the unisex everything, where men are regarded as women and women as men and they go to war now like men, they fight with the other men in the battlefield.

And if they decided they wanted to go home and leave the battlefield and have a child and raise a family, he will not regard that desire. They’re going to have to fulfill their obligations just like a man would with disregard to their natural desire to have a family. Verse 38, but the edichrist in his estate, shall he honor the God of force? He does recognize power and force here on this earth. And then it says, a God whom his fathers do not shall he honor with gold and silver and precious stones and pleasant things.

Then shall he do in the most strong holes, thus shall he do in the most strong holes with a strange God, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory, and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for game. And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him, and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind with chariots and with horsemen and with ships and he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass over.

This is talking I believe about the king of the north being Russia, the king of the south I believe being the Muslim nations all united under one leader, which we don’t know who it is at this point. But verse 41 is where I wanted to get. The Antichrist shall enter also into the glorious land. That is Israel. So the Antichrist is going to militarily overthrow Israel. And many countries shall be overthrown. But even these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom and Moab and the chief of the children of Amman.

Now if you look at the phrase right there, even Edom and Moab and the chief of the children of Amman, That is modern-day Jordan. In fact, the capital of Jordan is the city of Amman. And so if you look at that territory on a Bible map, you’ll see it as what is modern-day Jordan. And so it implies here is he comes and takes over Israel, and many countries are overthrown, that these are the countries that surround the country of Jordan.

And that Jordan will remain out of his hand and will remain politically neutral as he rules in the Middle East. So I believe what it’s saying here in this passage, which is supported, I believe, by other passages that we may or may not turn to tonight, but the Antichrist is going to take over all of what was ancient Assyria. And if you look at ancient Assyria, it grew in a counterclockwise direction, and it began over toward Saudi Arabia and worked its way up through Iraq, and over to Syria, and down through Lebanon, and down through Israel and down into Egypt.

And I believe that he’s going to take over all that territory, maybe in the same way it originally grew. As a result, the Antichrist will be called the Assyrian by right of conquest as he will control all the area that was ancient Assyria. And yet right in the heart of it will be the country of Jordan that will escape out of his hand, verse 41, even Edom and Moab, verse 41, and the chief of the children of Amman, which is of course Amman the president, a capital of the country of Jordan.

Verse 42, he shall stretch forth his land also upon the countries and the land of Egypt shall not escape. So Mubarak probably doesn’t know this. Maybe we ought to email him and let him know his country is going to be overthrown. Israel is going to be overthrown. Maybe you ought to let General Sharon, the Prime Minister, know that he’s going to be overthrown. Verse 42, the Antichrist will have power over the treasures of gold and silver in over all the precious things of Egypt.

And then it says here, the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. So here as the Antichrist comes and takes over all this territory, comes down through Israel and then goes down to Egypt. He’s at the borders, and if you look at either side of Egypt, you have Libya on one side, ruled by Qudafi, and Ethiopians on the other side, and those are the borders of Egypt on both sides. But he doesn’t invade those two countries. Why?

Verse 44. Tidings out of the east, I believe that’s China. And tidings out of the north, I believe that’s Russia. She’ll trouble him. So he honors the God of force and apparently China and Russia object and he stops short at the borders of Libya and Ethiopia and does not conquer those countries and Libya and Ethiopia both have had ties with Russia so you can really see how it fits the present-day modern political scene and you can see how China and Russia might object as he gets to that particular point and he stops and he doesn’t advance any further and he only controls the territory that used to be ancient Assyria which is kind of interesting.

Then verse 45, are you ready? He shall plant the tabernacle of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain. Now the glorious holy mountain is Jerusalem. And what is so interesting if you look at a Bible map that Jerusalem, the Glories Holy Mountain, is dead center between the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s right there dead center. And so the Antichrist, being a false type of Christ, will plant his palace right there in Jerusalem between the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean and that’s where he will rule the Western world from.

It says, yet shall he come to his end and none shall help him. So we know the Antichrist is going to come in the middle of the tribulation period. It’s at the same time that in Daniel 9 that he goes into the rebuilt temple and causes the sacrifices to cease that have begun right in the middle. So as he comes in and takes over the glorious land, verse 41, Israel and these many other countries that made up ancient Assyria, according to Daniel 9, he will break his promise and guarantee with Israel for their peace and security will take over Israel and go into the temple and desecrate it with his image and proclaim to the world that he is God and demand to be worshipped.

And so the Antichrist will be ruling the world from Jerusalem during the last three and a half years of the Tribulation. When Russia attacks in the Middle East at the end of the Tribulation period and strikes at Armageddon. I believe it is not for all the reasons that you read in all the prophecy books that Israel has such wealth or Israel has this or that. It’s actually, I believe, a military strike because even right now Israel has most of their nuclear weapons and their planes and their manufacturing plants for military weapons and so on, all in the valley just real, which is where Armageddon is.

And apparently that will be beefed up even more once the Antichrist moves his presence into Israel and will be the Western ruler of Europe and America from Jerusalem. And when Russia comes against the Antichrist, he will strike at his military presence, which is at Armageddon. So it’s going to be like the Pearl Harbor of World War II, when Pearl Harbor was struck, then obviously the whole war broke out and we became very much involved. And when Russia strikes Armageddon to strike at the military might of the Antichrist, then the whole world becomes involved in this war, which will be worldwide.

But the Antichrist will actually clearly have his palace and be ruling the Western world from Jerusalem as the false price. That he’s going to claim that he is God and will demand that the sacrifices that had been begun at the beginning of the tribulation period cease as he goes into that temple and proclaims that he is God. Hold your place here and look at Matthew 24. We looked at this verse once last week but it’s worth looking at again.

Jesus in Matthew 24, by the way, the word, the word, none of the word, but the rapture does not appear in the book of Matthew. Thank you for joining us. Now please join us for a segment featuring Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers. We’re now going to go to Adam and Denver, Colorado and Adam welcome up there from the Rockies. You’re on the air. Hello, Pastor. Yes. Oh, hi. I have a question regarding the temples. In the Book of Ezra, it’s talking about rebuilding the temple. Which temple is that? Is that the one that was built when Jesus was born or was that one destroyed? If you could explain that for me, please.

I’ll be happy to do that. Temple there is talking about the second temple, often known as Herod’s temple. Herod didn’t build a bitty refurbished it and made it beautiful. It was spectacular in the time of Christ and that’s the one that Christ entered into and was rejected. But the temple we’re talking about is the third temple that will be built during the tribulation period after the rapture. So the stones have already been cut and also we were just there a couple weeks ago and we We saw many of the implements for worship and the menorah.

The Bible talks about it. It’s about, I guess, to my shoulder height. It’s a pretty big piece of gold. I think it must be worth many, many millions of dollars. But all these things are ready to go. And I think as soon as the Rapture happens, a political decision will be made so the Third Temple can be erected. It’ll probably go up in a couple of days. Anyway, I think we’re getting very close to that. Third Temple is still ahead.

And I believe the preparations have been all over the world. already made to erect it. And so I think it’ll happen rather quickly once we’re out of here. Okay. So that is the second temple that was built that it’s talking about in there. Yeah, that’s the same one we were talking with a lady about the Daniel’s 70th week prophecy. The commandment to restore, rebuild the Jerusalem fulfilled in the prophet in Ezra talking about that rebuilding of that temple from the command to rebuild it until Jesus died was 483 years exactly.

Okay. One more thing, last week I got on YouTube and for my own curiosity because I really just became a believer within the last three years. I was not real familiar with speaking in tongues. After what I saw on there, I was very scared after, and actually had a hard time going to sleep after watching what I’ve heard you talk about that. that could you please maybe explain it to me a little more in depth? Well, speaking in tongues is not of God, and it’s a gibberish that’s happening today.

The biblical gift now was a real foreign language gift. Without any training, you could speak not only in a specific foreign language, but in a specific dialect of that language. So that’s not being done today. Nobody today is doing that. In fact, the gibberish people don’t know what the world they’re saying, and nor does anybody that’s hearing them know what they’re saying. And that’s obviously a counterfeit. It’s done by all the world religions, and it’s the end time Satan’s counterfeit of the truth.

If you have the real gift, it says in 1 Corinthians 14 verse 9, 1 Corinthians 14, 9 it says, except you speak by the tongue, words easy to be understood. How shall it be known what is spoken? You just speak into the air. So it tells us that the gift of tongues was for communication. Unless you speak words easily understood, you are really wasting your breath. You’re just speaking into the air. It says in 1 Corinthians 14, 9. Then it says in verse 22 of 1 Corinthians 14, tongues were to evangelize.

Tongues it says were a sign, not to those that believe, not to those that believe, but to those that believe not. The modern day movement does not use this around unbelievers. If they had the real gift, they should be evangelizing the lost with this gift of language that they have. They don’t because they know the lost don’t see it as from God. They’ll think you’re crazy. I have invited people for years and years and years to get in my car and go with me and I’ll get them to a crowd, whether it’s in the mall or in a ballpark or someplace.

And if I have to freak out, I’ll get a crowd together and I’ll introduce you, I tell them, and we’ll have you speak in your gibberish and if you’ve got the real gift of tongues, we’ll have revival, people get saved everywhere, it’ll be assigned to these unbelievers. Nobody wants to go with me. I’ve never had, I even promised a steak dinner at the end of the event because I’d like to see this thing work. No one, no one, no one has ever wanted to go with me into public and use their gibberish in a public form they don’t want to do it and that’s because they know they know that they don’t have a gift that would attract the unbeliever but yet the bible says in first grade is fourteen twenty two songs at times their first sign not to those that believe but to those that don’t don’t believe that believe not

they don’t want to use it with unbelievers tells you right up front that they don’t have the real thing and so i hope that helps uh… a little bit I am just amazed about how many people actually do follow this and that kind of scared me. It is scary. Thank you for your clarification. I appreciate it. Okay. Thank you so very much. The modern day gift is there is nobody today that has the biblical gift of tongues. What is amazing to me is that the denominations that claim that they have it send their missionaries to language school to learn a foreign language to go to the jungle to teach the people in jungle to do the gibberish to do back in the states just doesn’t make any sense at all why go to all that effort if you had the real gift to say hey you had out here you had out there and you

go over here and if they had the real gift they wouldn’t need to go to language school what kind of a deal is this well obviously it’s it’s a deception it’s a counterfeit it’s not the real thing we have nick Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the year. Hey, Pastor Lindstrom. Yeah, you’re on the year. Yes, sir. I wanted to ask if you could explain the difference between the first abomination of desolation and the one that speaks of and the prophecy because I have a little confusion on that and maybe where the homogeneous homolinulus and if the Bible also mentions anything about the Hey, Pastor Lynch, come.

Yeah, you’re on the air. Hey, yes, sir. I wanted to ask if you could explain the difference between the first abomination of desolation and the one that speaks of and the prophecy, because I have a little confusion on that and maybe where the amylinius or amylinius. And if the Bible also mentions anything about the Holocaust. Okay. Very, very good. Abomination of desolation is an image of the Antichrist that will be placed in the third temple in the middle of the tribulation period.

Jesus refers to it in Matthew 24, 15. Daniel talks about it in several chapters in Daniel and the Antichrist when he comes along. Will go to the temple in Jerusalem and proclaim that he is God. the Antesalonians 2, 4 tells us that. And then he will leave his image there and apparently he’ll be lifelike. And according to Revelation 13, it’ll speak and look lifelike and give the appearance that the Antichrist is on duty 24-7. And apparently he’ll be seen around the world on television, which today we have the capacity for even that to take place where everybody all around the world be able to see his image 24-7.

I always tease that it’ll be on the Antichrist channel. But certainly that’s true. The Amm, the list are absolutely denial. The Bible talks about in Revelation 20 verse, well, chapter 20 of Revelation 6 times, it mentions the length of the Kingdom that Christ will establish here on the earth as being a thousand years. A thousand years, a thousand years, a thousand years. And so So obviously they just ignore that and they say it’s metaphorical, it doesn’t mean a thousand years.

And so to them whatever you read doesn’t mean what it says. And so you just have to say that they just don’t believe the Bible. If you take the Bible literally then obviously there is a thousand year kingdom ahead where Christ will rule and reign on this earth for a thousand years and bring peace on earth, good will toward men. So there is obviously a lot of confusion by people who don’t believe the Bible to be literal and they present their ideas.

What was the third one? Why was that? If the Bible had mentioned the Holocaust anywhere, sir? Well, yeah, I think it does, it hints at it, but it talks about how the Jewish people would go back to the land of Israel in weeping in tears and crying. I think that’s told in a number of places where, for example, in Ezekiel 37, the vision of dry bones, it talks about how that there would be this cry, this noise that would cause the Jewish people to go back to their homeland, bone to their bone and become a nation again.

And I think we see that the prophet, Hosea, also talks about the Jewish people would go back under persecution to the land which has happened. And when Israel became a nation sixty years ago, they went back because of what had happened in Europe with Hitler and the Holocaust. And it says in verse 1 of chapter 6 of Oseo, come and let us return unto the Lord for he hath torn, and he will heal us. He hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

And I believe that’s talking about the persecution that Jews had experienced there in Europe and how that they would say, let’s go back home, let’s go back back to the state of Israel, which is exactly what has happened. So I hope that helps. We hope that you’re learning with us as we listen to this question and answer segment featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I want to say a word about water baptism. A lot of people are confused and many churches teach water baptism as being essential for salvation. That is certainly not true. And of course, God’s illustration is given to us with the two thieves that were crucified with Christ on the cross.

We find that the thief that believed or trustedAnimation was saved. He never had a chance to be water baptized. And so if you were never water baptized, you would still be saved. But Christ has left two ordinances, water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. And as an act of obedience as a believer, we ought to observe them. But water baptism will not save. But there are those who try to support water baptism from Scripture and teach that it’s essential if you’re going to go to heaven.

And that is, of course, not true. One of those verses is Acts 2 38 and Acts 2 38 it says repent and be baptized and this verse needs clarification because obviously many people misinterpret this to be water and It is not first of all Peter had preached on Pentecost that Jesus Christ who had been crucified by the leadership of Israel was indeed the true Messiah and they had made a serious mistake stake in crucifying Christ who is the Lord of glory.

And God of course demonstrated that He is the Lord of glory by having Him come back again from the dead. They were convicted by Peter’s message and they said, what should we do? And Peter said repent. That means change your mind. The Greek word for repent is meta noia. Meta means change. Noia means mind. The two words together, meta noia mean a change of mind. And Peter saying change your mind. thought he was an imposter, that’s why you crucified him, change your mind and realize he is indeed the Savior.

And then what? The word baptize from the Greek means to cleanse, to wash.ptin We find here he’s talking about being cleansed now or washed of your sin. How? Not by water. Not by water. He says, be baptized or washed or cleansed in the name of the Lord Jesus. So we notice here it’s a baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and the consequences will be too. You’ll receive the remission of your sinsSocket and you’ll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Now if this is talking about water, then obviously you cannot have your sins forgiven and you cannot receive the Holy Spirit without being water baptized. That doesn’t match up with the rest of scripture. That is for sure. We know that that people have received the Holy Spirit before they were water baptized. If you look at Acts chapter 10, it tells us there that the people of the household of Cornelius believed and they received the remission of their sins. And then Peter says in verse 47 of Acts 10, can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

So we notice there that they had already been forgiven, they had already been saved, but yet they had not been water baptized, they had received the Holy Spirit even though they had not been yet water baptized. Peter says in verse 47 of Acts 10, can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized who have already received the Holy Spirit as well as we? Wow! So they were already saved. And obviously that is a passage that would help us interpret Acts too to make sure that we understand that it’s not water here because they in Acts 10 got saved by simply believing with no water baptism and then they were said to do not to be forbidden to be water baptized now that they had been saved and received the Holy Spirit.

So in any case it says here be baptized in the name. Now that you might be a little bit reluctant to accept that but you know there are ten different baptisms taught in the New Testament and most of them are dry and do not involve the liquid at all896. There is the baptism of fire, that is not with water, there is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that is not with water, there is the baptism of Moses, that is not with water, there is the baptism of death, that is not with water, and so on and so on.

So there are numerous baptisms that are taught in the New Testament, ten of them in their entirety. By the way, I have a CD series on the ten baptisms of the New Testament, So a number of articles that you can receive that will talk to you about water baptism and its proper role. It is a testimonial on the part of somebody who’s already been saved of how they’ve been cleansed of their sin by the blood of Christ. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break into the second half hour Bibleline, and we’ll be right back with you in one second so don’t go away.

Now please join us as we return to our question and answer segment and then we’ll return to more Bibleline teaching from Dr. Hank Lynch. We have some callers waiting for us. We have Harold down in Sarasota, Florida. Harold, welcome to Bibleline your On The Air.

Hey, Dr. Lynch. Last week you spoke about affection in the Bible, or chapter in Bible where we talked about the devil ruling the earth before. I’m not sure if it was before Adam or the creation of Adam and Eve. I just wanted to know if you could bring to life those past days and kind of give me a visual of what that looked like. We spoke of that I immediately began to think of like a lord of the rings and how you know that was kind of put together as far as a movie but if you like give me the process just to go to the reverb and to also why it’s holding a little bit All right here.

We’ll do that and I say a 14 is so fascinating because it lets us know there that Satan lived on the earth prior to Adam and Eve and that he was the God of this world, ruling over all of God’s angels here on the planet. You want to turn to Isaiah 14 verse 13 where we have God knowing the mind of Satan as God is omniscient, there’s nothing you can get away with. The Bible knows your thought. God says he knows your thoughts and he knew the thoughts of Satan as he planned his rebellion and Satan said I will will ascend to heaven.”

Now he wouldn’t have said that if he was already in heaven. And so in Isaiah 14, 13 you have the first of the Five Eyebuels of Satan as he said that he would ascend to heaven. He was here on the earth as the rule over this earth. This earth was a beautiful place like the Garden of Eden according to Ezekiel 28. And the whole earth was that way. And it was filled with animals and plants and dinosaurs and but no human beings were on the planet.

So there was all kinds of life and all of that life flourished until the day that Lucifer decided to overthrow heaven. And you have that rebellion described to us in Isaiah 14, especially verse 13 and 14 in particular. And we find that Satan said he was going to go beyond the stars that are visible to our eyes, that he was going to go to the north in our universe where heaven is and sit upon the mound of the congregation in the sides of the north that he was going to dethrone God and become God himself.

And obviously when he left the planet with a third of God’s angels, God cast them back down to the earth. A very fascinating verse, Harold is in the little teeny book of Jude at the end of the New Testament. And there it tells us about this group of angels that followed Satan in the rebellion. It says in verse 6 of Jude chapter 1, and the angels which kept not their first estate. Their first piece of real estate was the planet earth.

That’s where God had assigned them to live. And Lucifer was the head over them. But it says here they left their own habitation. They left the earth to invade heaven, the opposite of what were normally taught. Most people are taught wrong, and I was just so surprised as I began to read my Bible as a brand new believer that I was always taught the angels lived in heaven. They didn’t. They lived on the earth. And they tried to go to heaven to overthrow heaven and were cast back down.

A third of the angels followed Lucifer in his rebellion. And God judged them. And it tells us about that here in Jude, verse 6 at the end of the New Testament. So when that happened, God judged the earth as well. And all life on the planet was killed. And we have the fossil remains today in coal. The fossilized remains of plant life. We have petroleum which is the fossilized remains of animal life, all trapped underneath the earth, all around the earth, pockets of living things that were killed and trapped and have become fossilized and are now the fuels for our modern society.

And you know, it was a long time after that that God then decided in seven days that he He would re-inhabit the earth with man. Of course, the passage you might want to turn to is in Jeremiah 4, where God allows Jeremiah the prophet to travel back to time, where Jeremiah says, I beheld the earth and lo, it was without form and void. That’s Jeremiah 4 verse 23, and he sees the earth as it was right after God judged it.

It became as we find it in Genesis 1-2, without form and void. The very same phrase is used, and Jeremiah saw what happened when God actually in his fury and in his wrath judged the earth. There is no other time in history that the Bible refers to, or that we could detect other than this event that we read about in the Bible where God destroyed the life on this planet. I believe the six days or the seven days are a re-making of the earth so that life could be established again and this time man is put on the planet.

That’s a little bit, but if you get the Scofield Bible, the notes take you all through the whole Bible on this topic and will really connect the dots for you. I encourage you that. We also have some books in our resource center that will help you with this. Then there are some CDs where I go into great detail and go verse by verse in many of these places and talk about the original earth and then the present earth in which we now live on.

And of course the Bible says this will be destroyed by fire and then there will be a new heavens and a new earth. Harold I hope that helps and thank you very much for your call. Now we’re going to go to Matthew in Spring::::::::, Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning pastor. My question is about the millennial reign of Christ. Christ Second Coming, everyone that’s on the earth that’s left will be a believer and then all unbelievers will die.

Is that correct? That is correct. Okay. So then does that mean that the offspring of the remaining people will all be believers? Is that how that works? No, they will not. Okay. So there will be sin during the money already in that. Absolutely sin and death and there will be those who will not trust the Lord and it will demonstrate really the wickedness of the human heart that these that are born during the millennium will still be related back to Adam and have the sinful nature of Adam passed on.

And it says in Jeremiah 17, 9, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. And it shows how that even with Satan bound up during that thousand years, and Jesus visibly ruling on the earth and the earth filled with his knowledge that people will turn him down and not accept him as their Savior. And that’s evidence when Satan is loose to the very any rounds up a huge army of millions of unbelievers and these are the children and the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren and so on of those that are entering the millennium as saved.

But it doesn’t take long to fill up the world again with unbelievers. Okay, so the release of state and at the end of the colonial reign is really just a demonstration of God’s judgment while he’s even here. Absolutely. the Bible teaches that there are seven dispensations, all of them are a test of man in regard to a specific revelation. And we find that in the millennium the real test is that with ideal conditions even then men will reject Christ.

I think that will silence all those who have lived in other ages that say, hey, you know, I didn’t believe on Christ because of my mother-in-law or I didn’t trust in Christ because, you know, I was in a bad church or I didn’t trust, they won’t have an excuse because in the millennium there won’t be any bad doctrine. Christ will be ruling on the earth and the earth will be filled with his knowledge and Satan will be bound up so Satan can influence him and still there will be millions that will reject Christ.

Okay, and then during that millennial reign, that’s when the church is reigning with him on the earth. We will come back as this bride and we will rule and reign with Christ during that thousand year period, yes. Okay, so it’s almost as if we’ll be like part of his government, like government workers? I don’t know exactly that. But I know, I don’t think, I think we’re going to be invisible to the actual people in their mortal bodies that are the actual subjects of the millennium.

Angels right now are assisting in doing many tasks and I’m sure that there are angels right now watching you where you are and are observing me as well. The Bible says that they spectate and watch us so we can see that chorus angels watching over me day and night and that’s really true. I think we as believers will come back in our resurrection bodies, but my personal view I can’t prove it but it’s my speculation and I always like to try to be honest and tell you what I’m speculating That I think will be invisible to this the ones in their mortal bodies Alright, well, thanks a lot brother.

These things are really interesting and exciting and we’ll see you in the air Okay, thank you Matthew in spring Hill, Florida This wraps up today’s question and answer segment about the Bible featuring Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Again, that’s BibleLineMinistries.org. Or give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. Now please join us as we continue the Book of Daniel teaching series from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Look at Matthew 24. We looked at this verse once last week, but it’s worth looking at again. Jesus in Matthew 24. By the way, the word, not only the word, but the rapture does not appear in the book of Matthew. We leap from Christ’s rejection in Matthew 23 and the early verses of chapter 24 to Christ telling us what would happen just before he would return again and the passages in Matthew 24, pick up after the rapture during the tribulation period and he tells us what would be happening during the tribulation period.

Verses 4 through 8 are brief outline of the first 3 and a half years of the tribulation period and Christ titles that period in verse 8 as the beginning of sorrows. The tribulation period will be bad but the first 3 and a half years will be the beginning of sorrows. verses 4 through 8 start with these warnings. There would be deception. Take heed that no man deceive you. Many will come in my name, saying I’m Christ and deceive many.

Verse 6 says you’ll hear of wars and rumors of wars. We’re already seeing that right now, aren’t we? And apparently there’ll be much more after the rapture happens. See the Ebe not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. The end is the end of the tribulation period when Christ returns to Set up His Kingdom. Nation shall rise against nation and the Greek word here for nation is ethnic groups. And so there will be all of this racial division as we enter the tribulation period and we already see it today, don’t we?

Racial problems, racial cleanseings, racial wars happening around the world right now as we speak. And then it says Kingdom against Kingdom, which is really nation against nation. That’s where actually powers or nations come to war against each other. So we have national groups or ethnic groups coming against each other in clashes. And then we have actual nations or kingdoms coming against each other. Also therefore it says there will be famines and we see that already in many parts of the world.

which are incurable diseases, which I believe AIDS is probably one, and this new Asian bird flew another, and many other that are out there the Ebola virus and the other West Nile virus and all these others that are out there today that are incurable diseases. And it as earthquakes in diverse places. And boy, they’re hitting all the time now. You can read every day, Japan and all around theidepress world, Iraq. I ran and all over the world there areortiumers and earthquakes.

And of course the big one was 9.3 this last year that brought about the tsunami that now, I guess the death count is over 300,000 people have died as a result as of the latest count from that tsunami. Then it says here, all these are the beginning of sorrows. First nine through 14 describe the second half of the tribulation period. When right in the middle, the Jewish people will become hated and under attack. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you.

You should be hated among all nations for my name’s sake. Well, obviously the Jewish people right now are hated around the world. And last week we reported it was in the news that Israel has erased from Canadian passports. So citizens, born in Jerusalem, are told that they have to surrender their documents and surrender their passports and Israel has to be removed. That’s just bullying the Jewish people around again, isn’t it? Because they have to remove the name Israel because they don’t recognize the state of Israel.

Amazing that five million people and a billion Arabs and this little people are hated by all of the Muslim nations and the rest of nations around the world apparently hate them as well. So this will be a time of hatred of Jewish people and so on and many will be killed for their faith. Verse 13 says, “‘He that shall endure under the end the same shall be saved.'” That’s not talking about eternal salvation, but physical salvation, if you You manage to survive to the end of the tribulation period, you will then be invited to live into the thousand year reign of Christ.

Now verse 15 picks up and picks up where verse 9 picks up and is a summary of the last three and a half years of the tribulation. Let me slow down a minute and point out some things to you. In verse 15, when you might circle that word because it is a time word, very significant. you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet. We’ve been studying Daniel and we’ll see this mentioned in chapter 12 but it says when you see this abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet stand where?

In the holy place. Who so read and let him understand? We know when this happens. When this abomination of desolation is placed into the Third Temple built after the Rapture and the sacrifices are resumed, the Antichrist went in the middle, you could put in a margin Daniel 927, in the midst of the 70th week of Daniel. The Antichrist will cause the sacrifices to cease. He walks into the holy place, he places his image there, and he proclaims to the world that he’s God and demands to be worshiped.

When that point of time happens, I want you to notice in verse 16 the word then, Then refers to when in verse 15 when the Antichrist places his image in the rebuilt temple. Look at verse 21, for then, circle the word then, it is also the same point in time when verse 15 the Antichrist places his image in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. Look at verse 9, which also is a previous summary of the last three and a half years, then I believe that then in verse 9 is the same then as when in verse 15 they see this image being placed in the temple rebuilt Jerusalem.

Verse 10, then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and hate one another. That again is the same time word. So you have when, that’s when you see the Antichrist placing his image in the rebuilt temple Jerusalem and you have then in verse 9, then in verse 10, then in verse 16, then in verse 21, all the same then identified with the word when the Antichrist places his image in the rebuilt temple Jerusalem. So this is an important significant time and Daniel 927 that we’ve already studied tells us when that happens.

It happens in the midst of the week or in the midst of the last seven years, the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy. 69 weeks of years took us to the cross. The clock is now not been ticking for 2000 years. And when the rapture happens and this age is concluded, The last seven years will tick off the clock. Another real good reason why we don’t go through the tribulation period at all. We don’t belong there. And once the Gentile age is concluded and we go out, then the last seven years for Israel tick off the clock.

For 16, we mentioned it, I think, last week, then shall them which be in Judea flee into the mountains. This is when Jews in Israel that are believers who are reading the Scripture and get Christ’s instructions as to what to do, run for their lives. Because the Antichrist now will hate them, verse 9, and will kill them, verse 9, and they need to flee quickly because he’s going to be on their trail. And they flee to the mountains, which is the opposite direction of the Mediterranean Sea, and what country is to the east of them?

It’s Jordan, the land of Edom and Moab and the chief of the children of Amman, which remains politically neutral. In the heart of the Antichrist territories, he takes over ancient Assyria and in the heart of it is a country that remains neutral throughout the tribulation. The Jews will flee there. They’ll be miraculously fed and cared for and protected from the Antichrist during the last three years, three and a half years of his reign. This 17 says, let him which is on the house top, not come down to take anything out of his house.

In other words, you don’t have time to pack your suitcase. If you happen to notice on the news that the Antichrist has put his image in the temple in Jerusalem, you better not even stop to pack a suitcase. You need to run to the country of Jordan, run to the mountains. Verse 18, neither let him which is in the field, return back to take his clothes. If you’re at on the tractor and you’re hearing the news on your headphones, on your radio, you need to head the tractor to the mountains and hit the pedal to the metal and flee.

Verse 21, why? For then, as that time wort again connected with the when of verse 15, then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor shall ever be. And except those days should be shortened at just seven years in length. There should nobody be left alive on the planet Earth. There should no flesh be saved. It’s talking about physical life. Just as we read in verse 13, if you manage to endure to the end when Christ comes back and ends the tribulation at seven years of length, then you’ll be spared to live into the millennium.

But if you, it’s not talking about being saved eternally or not going to hell but going to heaven talking about being eligible in the millennium and Christ will shorten that time in just seven years. Be sure to tune in to another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. you I have a CD series on the 10 baptisms of the New Testament.

Also a number of articles that you can receive that will talk to you about water baptism and its proper role. It is a testimonial on the part of somebody who’s already been saved of how they’ve been cleansed of their sin by the blood of Christ. Well, let me go to another passage to give you an example of what I’m saying here. This is not something I just made up. But if you turn to 1 Corinthians 9, 1 Corinthians 6, it says in verse 11 about many of the the Corinthian believers, he says, and such were some of you, 1 Corinthians 611, but you are washed, you are washed, and it says you are sanctified, you are justified, and then it says in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Exactly the same thing that we’re reading about in Acts 2, 38. Here Paul is talking to the Corinthian believers, and he says, you are washed in the name of the Lord Jesus. You are washed in the name of the Lord Jesus. So there is such a thing, a cleansing, a washing of your sin that occurs when you put your trust in Jesus Christ and in the authority of Christ who is God in human flesh, your sins are washed away.

Revelation 1 and 5 says unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. It’s only the blood that can wash away your sin, not water. The hymn writer got it right when he said, What can wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Not water. Nothing but the blood. And so Acts 2, 38 is not teaching water baptism. Peter is saying, Change your mind and be cleansed or washed when you put your trust in the the Lord Jesus and He will forgive your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, a very much a peril passage in Acts 10.

We have people, Peter’s preaching, same message and they believe and they receive the remission of their sins. They receive the Holy Spirit. So salvation has been received without water baptism and in Acts 1047 Peter says, can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we. By the way I’ve done about 40 classes and we have on CD the book of Revelation the book of Daniel the class I taught on the Holy Spirit the class on the Rapture the class on parables the class on how to lead souls to Christ we have different wonderful books in the Bible like the Book of Jude, the Book of Hebrews, the Book of Romans, and many, many, many, many more, you might inquire.

Plus you can call our operators and they’ll be glad to tell you about maybe a class, a course that might be of particular interest to you. And we’ve had wonderful reports from all across the country of people using these teachings as a means of facilitating that study.
