Can a person who has been saved lose his salvation? This question has been a perplexing question to many. Maybe you have been questioning the genuineness of your salvation. Are you really saved? Are you really sure? Although the phrase “eternal security” does not occur in the Bible, phrases that are equivalent do occur. Phrases such as everlasting life, eternal life, eternal salvation, eternal inheritance, eternal redemption, etc. occur dozens and dozens of times throughout the Bible.

If you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come to the morning service and stay for a wonderful hot dog and apple pie picnic. We’ll have hamburgers and other foods, potato salad, and baked beans and chips, but it’ll be a wonderful celebration of our nation’s birthday. That’s this Sunday if you’re in the area. Also, July 11th, we’re going to begin a series of five weeks of classes. We’ll be teaching first and second thessalonians eight wonderful chapters in 10 hours of teaching five weeks, two hours per Tuesday night from seven till nine.
If you’re in driving distance, you can be a student. There is a charge and that of course money will go to pay for Bibleline expenses and help Bible lines stay on the air. And so hopefully that will be a problem. Nobody will be kept away because they don’t have the fee for the class. We want everybody to be able to study with us. So come on anyway, but if you can’t afford it, we would like to have you make a contribution to Bibleline in the amount of $50 for those 10 hours of teaching and be a student here for five weeks.
Otherwise you can get the CVs after the class is over. You’ll be able to listen as though you were in the classroom. Hard to believe that we’re winding up the month of June and we’ll be into July in just a little bit. And who knows? Maybe the Lord will come this year. If he does, the most likely time for Christ to return is on the Feast of Trumpets. This year, it happens to be September 22nd. And of course, we’re not saying the Lord is coming this year, but if He does, that would be the most reasonable date.
We’re just three months out from the Rapture if the Lord comes this year. Interesting thought, isn’t it? Well, we’re excited to be able to be with you. We just returned from a wonderful week of camp up in North Georgia near the Tennessee border and had a lot of young people get saved and dedicate their lives to Christ and it was an exciting time. So we are back from our youth camp and we’re excited about being able to be on the air live with you Today, we’ll go to the phone calls in a little bit But we’re gonna take a look at the Bible first if you have your Bible there You might want to take a look you know eternal security is not a separate doctrine from salvation If you’re not saved forever, you’re not saved here’s a wonderful verse for you Philippians 1, 6 you might want to write it down.
It says being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you is salvation a good work. Obviously it is will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. So what it’s saying here that he that has begun a good work and you will continue that good work until you’re actually With the Lord in heaven what a great verse let me quote that again Philippians 1 6 Write it down a great verse. It says we’re eternally secure It says being confident of this very thing that he which have begun a good work in you will perform it until The day of Jesus Christ.
So as a believer, you can be absolutely certain of your salvation. And also later in this wonderful chapter, Paul talks about the fact that he was in a straight between two things. He wanted to depart and to be with Christ. And that is the taste of every believer. When you die, you are absent from the body, present with the Lord. But he He said it was more needful for him to stay behind to teach the believers and encourage them and keep them on track.
But he really had a desire to depart from planet Earth, from this body, to go ahead and be with the Lord. So the believer has a wonderful, wonderful future ahead and we can be assured that he will continue to perform that which he began in us when we trusted Christ as our Savior until we are actually in heaven. Philippians 3-9 is another favorite of mine. This is a Philippian day. In Philippians chapter 3 in verse 9 it says, He found in Him.
The last two words say by faith. And this verse tells us that when we’re found in Christ, we’re found as righteous as God. Because God looks down and sees the righteousness of Christ. we are found in Christ. Let me quote the entire verse. Philippians 3.9 says, Be found in Him, that is Jesus Christ, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law. Isaiah tells us it’s filthy rags, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
God sees you as righteous the moment you trust Christ. And so if you’ve trusted Christ, God sees you as as righteous as Christ, therefore you can be absolutely certain of going to heaven. That happens by faith at the moment you trust Christ, and again Philippians 1-6, it tells us being confident of this very thing. We’re confident of this, that He which have begun a good work in you, salvation is a good work. We’ll perform it until the day of Christ.
So the believer in Philippians 1, 23 says that Paul had a desire to depart and to be with Christ. When you die, you’ll depart this body, you’ll be absent in the body, present with the Lord. Philippians chapter 3 tells us that we are found in Christ by faith, having His righteousness not our own. On that basis, we can be sure of going to heaven. What are wonderful truth that is. And so once you trust the Lord of your Savior, you are saved and you are saved forever.
And you can never be lost. Later in chapter 3 of Philippians it also says in verse 20 of chapter 3, our citizenship is in heaven. Did you know that if you are a believer, you are a citizen of heaven? That’s right. This world is not your home. Your home is heaven and when you die the believer goes home to heaven. This world is not my home. I’m just passing through. My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue as the hymn writer wrote.
But my home is in heaven. And as a believer, whenever we die, we go home. And if you’re a believer, again, you have at the moment of belief not only receive eternal life, not only received the forgiveness of your sins, not only are seen in Christ having His righteousness, not only that but having the promise of being absent from the body present with the Lord, but we are told that our citizenship is in heaven. And he goes on to say, from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, verse 21 of Philippians 3 says, Who shall change our vile body that it may be fashion like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to even do all things unto himself.
In other words, we are looking for Christ to return. That is the next event on God’s calendar. And when he comes, if you are living, he will transform your vile body into a perfect, sinless body like Christ’s body, and you will be with the Lord forever and ever and ever and ever. Again, eternal security is not a separate doctrine from salvation. Think about this, if you’re not saved forever, you are not saved. If you are not saved forever, then you’re not saved.
By definition, the word salvation means delivered. You are not rescued from hell. You are not rescued from the penalty of sin and death unless you are totally delivered. And obviously one day stand safely on Heaven’s shore. That’s what every saved person can be assured of. That we are confident of this one thing. That he which hath begun a good work in us will continue to perform that good work until Jesus returns. I’m so glad I have eternal life. I know I can never be lost, but I can now live for Christ and earn rewards and send treasures up to hand.
It’s when Dr. England is from this Bibleline, and we’re looking forward to hearing from you today, and we already have callers calling in, and we’re going to go ahead and talk to Mary, and Mary is in Tampa, Florida, and Mary, welcome to Bibleline. Thank you, Dr. Ninstump. Last week while you were on your camping trip, I fried a herald and come on the radio. And he was asking what makes Christians believe. And I was wondering if herald is a Jew, claims to be Jewish and the Jewish believe in God.
How can he be an atheist? Is it because he doesn’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? He does not accept Jesus as the Savior and he says he doesn’t believe that there is a God also. So he claims to be a Jewish atheist. He really having Jewish heritage, his mother was a Jew and therefore he believes that as a race he is a part of the Jewish race but doesn’t accept God. Even though it was spoken to the Jews and told them about the seat of Abraham and you know that I am in the past and you know they were in awe and of course it turned them over to believe then.
And so what I’m trying to get to is what is it Harold wants to know that we that believe know that he doesn’t know. The next time Harold calls in, I know he’s listening, this time Mary who can tell him why we believe was badly telling. Alright Mary, I hope he’s listening right now and we’ll just tell Harold to wake up. Jesus has already called and he’s your Savior and there is a God and you need to trust him in order to go to heaven.
Thank you Mary. No, just tell him Mary knows the secret. Alright, you know the secret. Alright, well maybe he’ll appeal to that. Alright, thank you. Ah, bye bye. That was Mary in Tampa, Florida, calling in. A lot of people are concerned about you, Harold, and our praying for your salvation. We have Kevron in Pompano Beach, Florida, and welcome to Bibleline. Kevron. Thank you, Dr. Hank. I just want to be able to master with Kurt. Yes, and I think he berates people.
You know we’re sinners, but you don’t have to beat it over the head. And obviously you don’t have to turn from sin to be saved, which is incorrect talking. The word repent means to change your mind. It comes from the Greek word meta noya. And the change of mind is really about how sin is paid for and who Jesus Christ is if you read the New Testament. When we are lost, we need to recognize that we cannot work our way to heaven and change our mind and recognize that Christ made the full payment for our sin and that Jesus is God who offers that salvation to all that would simply trust Christ.
But I think that if they witnessed me that way when I was lost, I probably would have punched him. I think it’s a little bit rough, a little aggressive and I don’t think you have to beat people down you know to nothing and uh… in order to lead to the christ most people will readily admitted their center right and then you just need to tell them that jesus good news he paid for that send if you trust him god will save you yet but the you know that the show this goes against everything that uh…
that that the i think just like you were saying it’s the they’re thinking of work and and it’s not work This is this, you know, this is totally opposite of what you’re teaching. Well, it’s an opposite of what the Bible is teaching because I’m not the authority here. The Bible is the authority and the Bible says not of works. In fact, in Ephesians 2, 8 it says it’s not of yourself. It is the gift of God. And so there’s nothing on our part to do except receive what God has already done for us.
And Christ has finished the work of salvation. And our part is to simply receive it. So you actually write, you’re very keen to pick that up, Kevin. A lot of programming today is really giving a workspace Salvation and adding is a false doctrine is right Thank you, doctor. Oh, you’re very welcome and thank you for calling in that was Kevin run in pumpin. Oh Beach Florida and now we’re gonna go to Peter in Tampa, Florida Peter. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Okay Make sure you turn your radio down.
I can hear the background. Okay Okay. Kill that radio. Thank you, Dr. Lolly. You’re very welcome and thank you for calling in. Peter, you got that radio down? Yes. All right. What’s the question? My question is, um, um, Hank, Hank is Peter. I’m listening to you, Peter. Go ahead. Okay. What’s the question? If you’re listening to your radio, you’re going to get confused. There’s a 20-second delay. Okay. So just forget the radio and just talk to me over the phone.
Okay. My question is, can Jesus help the people in our Jerusalem? Can He save the believers from heaven? Can He charge the people up there? Can He do what do the people up in heaven? Healing. Healing? See you in heaven there will be no sickness. There will be no disease. Read Revelation 21 verse 6 where it says there will be no death, no sorrow, no tears, no disease, no death. None of those things will occur in heaven. So once you are with the Lord you’re going to be in a brand new resurrection body like the Lord’s body and you’ll never experience sickness or death or disease or tears or sorrow ever again.
What a wonderful day that’s going to be. to be. So Peter the answer is eventually all of us are going to have perfect health but we cannot guarantee that till we are in heaven. Okay. Well thank you for that call Peter that was a great question and thank you for calling in here to Bible and we have an offer here question we have build that in Pompano Beach for calling in says once you’re saved do you You need to be baptized.
The answer is yes, but not to be saved. Water baptism is a testimonial of how we are cleansed of our sin by the blood of Christ. Only the blood of Christ could wash away your sin. Water will not. But as a believer, we give testimony. In Acts 8, we have a beautiful picture of believer’s baptism. There is a man there from Africa that Philip leads to Christ and as he is traveling in their chariot and they pass a body of water, he says, what does it mean to be baptized?
And Philip says, if you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God you may, and he confesses that he believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and they stop the chariot and they both go down to the water and Philip baptizes him. That wonderful verse of his confession of faith, Acts 837, is missing from the new international version. If you have the NIV, look for Acts 837. That’s a great mystery. Where did it go? It’s gone.
You’ll see verse 36. You’ll see verse 38, but no verse 37. That wonderful verse that gives us the basis of why we are water baptized after we’re saved as a testimony of our faith in Christ is purely gone. There are 44 verses missing from the NIV. The same 44 verses are missing in the Jehovah’s Witness Bible. I wonder if they got together. The NIV I think is a terrible Bible. We have an NIV quiz, if you call in, we’ll be glad to mail it up to you free.
That if you take the questions and try to answer them from the NIV Bible, you’ll get a zero because all the questions are based upon those missing verses in the NIV Bible. I would get a different Bible if I were you if you have that Bible. But that’s the answer, Bill D’Empamino. As a believer, you ought to be baptized by immersion. After you’re saved, if your baptized is an infant, that’s that thing in the Bible doesn’t count. baptized. By whatever means prior to your salvation doesn’t count.
What about Tism is something we do after we become saved, but we’re only washed or cleansed of our sin by the blood. It says in Revelation 1, 5 unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Jesus cleanses of our sin by his blood. The waters merely symbolic or ceremonial. And as a believer, we ought to give testimony in that way, but not to be saved. We have Troy in the land, Florida. And Troy welcome to Bibleline good to have you on the program Hi Dr.
Hank, I have two questions. The first question is, is Satan omnipresent? The answer is no he is Located in one place at one time and he’s not omnipresent He might give that appearance because he has lots of angels working under him that obviously gather information and report him all the time But Satan can only be in one place at one time So a lot of things humans bring on their shells to their own flesh. Oh absolutely. We give too much credit to Satan.
You know, Cipwell’s has made that thing popular where he said the devil made me do it. I used to love him as a comedian, but the devil doesn’t really make us do most of the things we do. It’s because of our sinful nature that we inherited from Adam. Jeremiah 17 9 is a great verse, Troy. says the heart or the mind is the seat full of all things and desperately wicked who can know it here in my seventeen nine and another question um…
i was watching uh… t at b and and there is uh… uh… pester hayey and to uh… orthodox out and then and uh… he came out with the statement that you know it and i understand that we’re supposed to pray for israel but he made some comparisons and because i guess the movie ester is coming out now yes and he also said well you know we know what our differences about our religion but we know what it is and and i think i’m disappointed me well what is the exact uh…
what does it worth the docs choose believe they believe jesus is yet to come for the first time that jesus is not the messiah that christ or the messiah has not yet come so they’re still looking for the return of christ and and how do they regard uh… yahweh yashat well they they don’t regard that he’s coming at so yeshua or jesus uh… has not yet appeared on the earth but they’re still looking for him to come and the sad part is i think uh…
the jewish people that are unbelievable for the most part reject the antichrist who is the counterfeit of press but i’d be careful with john hegory he believes you could lose your salvation after a little torment and uh… he’s got a great presentation uh… he’s an excellent speaker but his doctor and is uh… flawed uh… he believes you could lose it and i have that in print well thank you so much uh… for calling in trial group and help here Alright those Troy in The land Florida up near Daytona Beach We have now and Anthony in Prince George Virginia and Anthony welcome to Bible I don’t listen to your radio now because you’ll get confused Okay, I’m turning that thing down.
Turn the radio off. It’s all you have a question. Yeah My question is once you’re saved about grace and mercy, what does it mean that the Lord will accept the church without the spot or wrinkle of the individual? Well, you know, it talks about we’re sanctified at the moment of belief. That means we’re made pure and holy in God’s sight, but there’s also what we call practical sanctification where we attempt to live our lives and attempt to become more and more Christlike so that we can obviously be pleasing to the Lord as a believer and earn rewards in heaven.
So obviously we ought to try to be as pure as we possibly can, but we can never live simplest as a believer. So as a believer, we’re always struggling in our actual situation that we’re in at the moment, but positionally God sees us as already perfect because we’ve been cleansed by the blood of Christ. Okay. It’s called standing in state. Dr. Scofield has a wonderful booklet out on how to interpret the Bible and by the And by the way, we have that in its entirety on my website.
You can go ahead and read it. And if you read the chapter on standing estate, you can actually download it and print it on your computer. But we have the Dr. Stofield’s rightly divided into word of truth in its entirety up on my website, you can take a look at it. But it’s the chapter on standing estate. It explains exactly what you’re asking about. OK. I know one time you had mentioned that we’re not saved by work. But how do we get more, what is it when you say that to be more Christ like, what do we do to be Christ like?
Well we looked at the Bible and what Christ did and said and we become like Him in our life. We try to let our lives be conformed to what Christ did. He was obviously interested in souls so we ought to be interested in winning souls to Christ. And obviously he was interested in helping people and we should be helping people. so many things. Obviously we need to know the Word of God. He was able to defeat Satan by quoting the Scriptures three times during the temptation.
So if people do that, are they… That has nothing to do with your salvation. That has nothing to do with your salvation. You’re saved by faith alone. But this has to do with the Christian life and being pleasing in God’s sight and earning rewards in heaven. Okay, thank you. You’re welcome and thank you. We’re coming up on our break time here And we’ll have to take a break and we’ll come back and do Bible and part two So stay tuned and don’t go away and We’ll be right back after this very short break and do the second half Bible lines so keep your radio tuned right where it is Don’t go away Bibleline.

So you’ll be able to listen to the teachings and explanations from the Bible with our Bible on television programs and that’s worldwide so maybe if you will tell your friends around the world about the Bible and ministries website you don’t need to know anything new but you’ll be looking for a new link on our website that will take you to the light source which will be our television broadcast 24 hours a day seven days a week a brand new development for Bible and by the way if you’re living in the Tampa Bay area we’ve got these classes coming up July 11th Tuesday nights five weeks two hours per Tuesday seven to nine p.m.

Bible and, of course, needs your help to be able to be on the air.
It really is quite a big venture that we’ve bitten off here, trusting God to supply, and sometimes… We run pretty close and we need your help to be able to not only continue where we are, but to continue to grow and expand. We believe Jesus is coming. Time is running out. This is a time to invest in the things which are going to count for eternity. You know, one day you’ll look back and you’ll say, I wish I had done more.
I wish I’d become more wise in my investing in the things of the Lord. And as you give to a ministry that is bearing fruit and leading lost to Christ and challenging the believers to live for the Lord, you’re definitely going to be sharing in those fruit that the ministry will accrue and it will be counted to your account according to the Bible, Philippians 4 17. So as a believer, please consider praying for and giving to Bible and you can give a gift by credit card over the phone calling our 800 number 1-800-576-3771.
And also, you can send a gift by mail to Bibleline at 4811 George Road in Tampa, Florida. The zip code is 333-634. Our operators can help you with that address or send you an envelope with our address already printed on it. But please consider helping us. And this will be a good time as we’re into the summer. And this is a good time to help Bible and make it through the summer. And we hope that we’re going to reach as many people as we can until Jesus comes back.
We’re going to go to the phone lines again. This time we have Anthony again in Prince George, Virginia. And he has a question that we’re going to try to answer for him. And so welcome Anthony and Prince George Virginia. Yes, good morning, Dr. Hank. I was talking about, to be more, we’ll come up with more like Christ lights. And some people say that the guilt I’m not for today. And a gentleman asked me, what a lawyer told me to pray for a gentleman who had cancer.
They was going to remove his kidney. And the doctor confirmed that he had it, and he went for a stuck opinion. So I prayed with him that he had MRI done, and so he had evidence and proof that he had the cancer. We prayed and he had surgery, and when they cut him open, the doctor said that they cannot find the disease, they cannot find the cancer, they cannot find the tumor. And so God had completely healed him, and I was just giving a testimony about being more like being more quite like.
I don’t know what that means but definitely God can heal today when it’s within his will. But sometimes they make mistakes. We had a man in our church that they did an MRI on the same thing where they saw a mass they thought. And then when they got the X-ray report they had written on the report that his uterus had been surgically removed. Well, this is a man, you know, obviously we teased with him and said he wouldn’t be able to have any more kids but Obviously that was a terrible terrible mistake and then when they did go in and look for this mass they couldn’t find it because they didn’t go in deep enough and What a mess and he still has the mass in him and they just totally felled up with the MRIs they said he had a mass They couldn’t find the mass and it gets really confusing sometimes
So I don’t know what to tell you, but certainly God can heal. But don’t believe everything that you hear and even the readings by the radiologists and so on can be wrong. As obviously this gentleman never had a uterus to begin with, but they said it was surgically removed. That is a medical nightmare for sure. Thank you for that call and I hope we’ve been in some help. Jeff in Palmetto is on the air, Palmetto, Florida. Jeff will give you a good Bible and make sure your radio is turned down Jeff and what is your question today?
Okay, yeah, Jesus said the greatest in commandment was to love God with all your heart and your mind and your soul. And I was wondering if you could explain the difference between those and all your strength with those four entities. Well, you know, the first committee. commandment is the greatest of the commandments and that is if we love the Lord then everything else will follow because we’re going to be wanting to please him and and not break anything else that would violate He says, that one, and of course the second one, like unto it where you should love your neighbors yourself.
So if we just were to follow that, which is really what grace is all about, that we do things from the heart and from love rather than from the negative, thou shalt not, thou shalt not, thou shalt not, thou shalt not, which is typical of most of the commandments. But basically, if we were just to Observe that the love the Lord and lover neighbor we would be in good shape as far as our Christian life is concerned But none of those things will save you and there are people who say that if you love God Then you’ll be saved and that’s not true You need to trust that Jesus died and shed his blood at Calvary in order to be saved and If you love God and you do not trust Christ the Savior you’ll go to hell So, loving God is not what saves.
It’s his love that provided the sacrifice at Calvary in the person of Christ. And when we trust what God did in his love for us and how that Christ paid our sin that in full and trusting this, the one who did that, God saves us. Hope that’s helped a little bit. I’m not sure that I did any help at all, but we’re now going to go to D in Richmond, Virginia and D, welcome to Bible on. I think how you doing?
Good. I understand that Jesus was buried on the Passover, the twilight of the Passover. Well, he was buried, yeah, it’s sundown. Right. How does the Feast of Unleavened Bread relate to that? Well, we believe the Feast of Unleavened Bread was a picture of his body being a sinless body, eleven a picture of sin and Christ even in the Lord’s Supper at the Passover said the bread that was broken that he broke where presented his body broken for them. And so then that body was buried and then he rose from the dead on the feast of first fruits exactly three days later.
So he fulfilled the type. He died as a Passover lamb buried during the Feast of Unleavened Bread and rose on the first feast of first fruits. So the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread coincide with each other? Yes. The Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Passover begin at the same time. Oh, okay. That’s why I heard you say it before and I thought it was two separate days. I thought Passover was like on Thursday in the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
begin at the same time but christ fulfilled all of the four first four feast days and uh… they literally happened exactly on the money which is of course he uh… was buried right there at the very beginning right the okay and have a do you think you send it at uh… pinnock uh… that they will know he ascended forty days after the resurrection and ten days later pinnock has came okay he left and then he said wait in acts one forty says wait until the promise from on high is coming up with always there to be indwelling the believers of the sage yesterday we see you know forty days of the didn’t say fifty that’s right i think it you’re very welcome and that was again the call from richmond those of you in richmond we will not be heard after the middle of july on the bb k thirteen eighty will be
continue to be heard on eight twenty in the morning at 10 o’clock on 8.20 on the AM dial of your radio out of Chester. So, make a note of that. We have Mary in Bartow, Florida calling in and she says, what happened to all of those that were destroyed by Noah’s flood? Did they get a second chance? And the answer is no. All of those that died of Noah’s flood went to hell and they are a picture of all the lost that will go to hell for rejecting the Savior.
Savior. So they don’t get a second chance. They did not go to heaven. They went to hell. Only eight were saved. The eight believers, no one is family. And the rest went to hell. Allen in Tampa, Florida calls in and he says, are there different degrees of punishment in hell? The answer is yes. And we find he says here, verses please. Well, there are numerous verses that talk about degrees. In Matthew 11 is a great passage where it talks about cities where Christ did some of his mighty miracles and because they rejected greater light, the Bible says that they would not be punished as that Sodom and Gomorrah would not be punished as greatly as these cities would be because they rejected greater life.
Let me read that over to you in Matthew chapter 11. He says in verse 23, and thou Capernaum which are exalted to heaven should be brought down to hell. For if the mighty works which have been done and thee had been done in Sodom, down to heaven. Sodom would have remained until this day.î Verse 24 of Matthew 11. But I say unto you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment that’s talking about the great white throne judgment than for thee.
So in other words Sodom and the inhabitants of Sodom will get off better before they’re cast into hell as far as the degree of punishment they’ll receive than the people in Capernaum. These people in Capernaum were going to get a greater degree of punishment in hell because of their rejection of the miracles of Christ. If Christ had appeared in Sodom into those miracles, it says that they probably would have not been destroyed. Interesting, isn’t it? All right. He says here, Alan says, how were people saved from Genesis to the cross?
They believed on Christ, and that’s the answer. Peter gives us a wonderful verse that tells us that. 6, 10, 43, Peter says to Yeshua or Jesus, give all the prophets witness, that’s all the writers of the Old Testament, that whosoever believeth in His name shall receive the remission of their sins. So all the prophets taught that salvation was by faith in Christ alone, and they believed that Christ’s future would come and die just as we look back to the cross.
Don in Tampa, Florida calls in. He says he knows you teach once saved, always saved. He’s at work, he cannot talk, but he wants you to give him some verses to back this up. Well, I think a couple of the best ones Don are John 637. Christ says, him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. That means under no circumstance Christ ever cast out one who has come to him. Secondly, John 639, Jesus says that he keeps us safe.
That is the Father’s will. And it’s the Father’s will that he not lose one person. John 639 says, this is the Father’s will which has sent me. That of all which you have given me, I should lose none, none, but raise them all up again at the last day. So if one person were ever lost, once it became safe, Christ would be a liar. the Bible would be wrong and you might as well forget it all. Also Hebrews 13-5, Jesus promises the believer, I will never leave you.
What does that mean? Well if you somehow could be lost and went to hell, then Jesus said I will never leave you. Jesus would have to go to hell with you, not going to happen, not going to happen. And that’s just a few verses, hopefully that will help you. If you get a main event site under Dr. Lynchland’s articles, I have a couple of sheets of verses listed for you, everlasting life, eternal security of the titles, and take a look and print those out and you’ll have some good ammo on that doctrine.
Othear Lee in Tampa, Florida calls in. Where in the Bible does it say not to call somebody Reverend? The answer is in Matthew 23 verses 9 and 10. Matthew 23, 9 and 10. All right, thank you for that call. We have now James in Palm Harbor. And James, welcome to my blind year on the air. Yes, I got to look back in the times of Genesis. Those were believers. Some have imagined that they were angels, but let me give you a great verse.
Hebrews 1-5 says that God never called an angel his son in the story. So it’s not angels. It’s believers. And it says in Genesis chapter 4, I think it’s verse 30, that in the days of Seth, men began to call upon the name of the Lord. and then they were called God’s sons. And you find that believers are called the sons of God or daughters of God, and unbelievers are called the daughters of men or sons of men, and that is the contrast.
So if you’re just a member of the human race, you’re not saved, but when you become a believer, you become born again and become a son of God. John 1.12 is a favorite of mine. It says to as many as received Christ, to them God gave authority for you to become the sons of God to those that would believe on His name. So when you believe on His name, you become born again and you become a son of God.
So I believe it’s believers marrying unbelievers and the result was the gospel got lost such that there was only one family left on the earth that was believers and it was known as family. All the rest were unbelievers. All the unbelievers were destroyed, but Noah and his family were the only sons and daughters of God remaining and they survived in the flood and life continued. So you don’t think that they lost the salvation? Like you know, you say once saved, always saved.
No, they would never say, right? But the sons of God married the daughters of men and over a period of time. So you don’t have to be a man. You don’t have to be a man. time, what happened is that their children that came along didn’t get the gospel because of the mixed marriages of believers with unbelievers and the same thing is happening today. We have believers marrying unbelievers in the homes that are falling apart and there is no gospel going down to the kids and we have a whole generation now being raised without Christ and without the Bible and it’s like again as it was in the days of Noah.
that Christ spoke about in the last days that we would see this same thing repeated. So the sons of God got corrupted by the sons of man, that’s what you’re saying. I’m saying that the believers married unbelievers and what happened was that their kids didn’t get the gospel as a result. And so the whole world came to the place where there was only one family left at the time of Noah that were believers. Okay. Okay. Thank you. You’re very welcome.
And that was James and Paul Marber. We now have Jose waiting on the line here, Jose from Seminole. So Jose, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello. Good morning. Hey, how are you? Good morning. Hey, got a quick question. Believers over the weekend. They were telling me that they believe is a different entity to the body of Christ. that they’re too different in time. And have you ever heard that and what’s your take on it? Yeah, I’ve heard it and they’re totally wrong.
I mean, we are the bride of Christ. You read Ephesians 5 and it tells us that the church is his bride and that Christ gave his life for the church, his bride just, and of course he talks about the husband and wife relationship being compared to that. But the husband therefore she loves his wife, his Christ loved the church. And that church is his bride. His scriptures? Well, I’m sure we could find others, but that’s one of the main passages that really just nails it.
I mean, who do they say the bride is? They say that the bride is because of the… That’s not true. If they were good Bible students, Israel is called the wife of Jehovah. And so we find that Jehovah’s wife is Israel and the bride is of course married to the bridegroom is Christ. So we have those separate pictures where the Gentiles of this church age become Christ bride but Israel, his wife or Jehovah’s wife is Israel. You’re time. I’m going to look further into this.
Yeah, you’re just going off on a rabbit trail and they and obviously there’s numerous other false doctors that come along with that whole thing. Let me just I’ve already been there done that and that’s not the only thing they got wrong. If they’ve got that wrong, then they don’t have much right at all. Okay. I appreciate your time. Thank you, Jose. And yeah, that’s just not very good. My Bible study in scholarship. And again, it’s called rightly dividing the word of truth.
I do recommend again on my website we have it in its entirety the whole booklet printed out by Dr. C.I. Schofield rightly dividing the word of truth tips on interpreting the Bible and being able to separate different doctrines and to identify to what group you’re speaking to or about and obviously the bride of Christ is the church. All right, in the epistle to Timothy it says that women should not preach. There are preachers out there that are women. Who is that caller?
Oh, we have an anonymous and he says he’s confused. Well… Obviously, there are people who violate the scripture all the time. Women preaching are out of order, and they are not to be preachers of the word. So if you read 2 Timothy chapter 2 verses 11 through 15, it’s quite clear that women are not to teach nor usurp authority over the men. And that’s 2 Timothy 2, 12. And so there are women today that are going to give an account for their violation of God’s power.
word, they’re basically doing whatever is right in their own eyes and not what is right in God’s eyes. So, has God happy with this? The person calls in and asks, the answer is no. And obviously, we see the church being corrupted. The reason, one of the reasons why women are not to teach is because they’re more likely to go off into false doctrine. The Bible warns in Timothy about many false cults being started by women and we see that.
The seven Adventists started by LNG White. We have the Christian scientists, Mary Baker A. And whenever women get in charge of a religious system, they generally lead it astray. And whenever you have a woman in religious things, it usually means bad doctrine. The False Church of the Book of Revelation is called Six Times in Revelation 17, The Woman, The Woman, The Woman, The Woman. So watch out for women preachers for sure. I would not sit under one. By the way, we’re running out of time here, so we’re going to have to end it for today, but we’ll be back again tomorrow.
