Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-12-14 – Only Begotten Son

Mary was used of God as the host to bring forth the body of Jesus’ humanity. When the angel told Mary that she would conceive and have a son, she replied, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man (Luke 1:31-34)?” The angel responded by saying, “The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35).”

We know that the Bible is the word of God and we are going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then we will come to you about the questions that we have been given hear off here and also the live callers will talk to them today.

You know the Bible clearly teaches the virgin birth. Isaiah 714 tells us 740 years before Jesus ever came that the Lord Himself would give a sign a virgin would conceive and bear a son and would call his name Immanuel. meaning God dwelling with us. And so the virgin birth is taught throughout the Bible. I believe there is a veiled reference to it in Genesis 3.15 where it talks about the seed of the woman. The Messiah would one day of course bruise the head of Satan.

The ultimate defeat of Satan will come at the hand of the seed of the woman and the seed is normally passed on through the man. here talks about a woman having seed without a man, probably a veiled reference to the virgin birth right there in Genesis chapter 3 in verse 15. Certainly that verse tells us about the two comings of Christ and it’s right there in the third chapter of the book of Genesis. So certainly the story of Christmas and the story of Christ coming into this world was obviously planned out*=- before Bethlehem and the fact that a woman would have seed without a man and that that child that would be born would actually ultimately defeat Satan and bring about peace on earth good will toward men.

In Isaiah 9, 6, it says unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and is talking about Jesus. child the flesh was born but the fact that God the eternal son existed from eternity past gave himself by taking on that human flesh at Bethlehem. Mary is not the mother of God. Mary is the mother of the flesh that God took upon himself. You see God does not have a mother. He doesn’t have a father. He doesn’t have a beginning nor does he have an end.

He’s always been and will always be. And so the Bible tells us that the flesh that God took upon himself had a birthday and that is what we celebrate at Christmas time. The fact that God came and took on flesh that was born of a virgin. And of course, Mary was the mother of that flesh that God took upon Himself. The virgin birth has to be believed and you know, if you don’t believe the virgin birth, you’re denying Scripture.

If the virgin birth is not true, then Matthew and Luke were mistaken or stupid fools. Number two, the Bible contains a false account and becomes a book of fiction instead of a a book that is infallible and a book of facts that is indeed the word of God. Thirdly, the doctrine of the infallible inspiration of the Bible breaks down completely. If the virgin birth is not true, then Mary was a liar because she confessed she knew not a man.

If the virgin birth is not true, then the Bible is giving us a crude attempt to shield an unfortunate woman from the accusation of adultery. If the virgin birth is not true, all prophecy must fail. For Matthew says all these things were done that the prophecy might be fulfilled when the prophet Isaiah said he would give a sign and behold a virgin would conceive. If the virgin birth were not true, then Jesus would be a sinner because the sin nature of Adam would have been passed on through Joseph to Jesus and then hence there could be no Savior and we could go on and on and on.

The Bible is quite clear that there was a virgin birth and Isaiah had told us 740 years in advance that a virgin would conceive and bear a son and call his name Emmanuel. So Jesus Christ is the virgin born son of God and how wonderful it is to see that record throughout the Bible. If the virgin birth is not true, look at what would happen as you read the book of Romans. It says here that the gospel of God had been promised by God a forehand by his prophets in the holy scriptures.

Romans 1 and 2. Verse 3 says concerning his son Jesus Christ. Now if the virgin birth were not true, this would have to read concerning Joseph’s son. It wasn’t Joseph’s son, it was God’s son. And here as you read the epistles, clearly it’s implied. Notice again it says here the Gospel of God which God promised beforehand by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures concerning His son, Jesus Christ. If it was Joseph’s son, then it would have to read Joseph’s son.

But Jesus Christ is fathered by God himself. John 3 16 tells us this. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, the only human being begotten by God the Father, that God was the Father of that child is the Lord Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, most people don’t pay attention to John 3.16 and realize that it’s talking about the virgin birth. John 3 16 tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.

Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth, as John tells us in chapter 1 of John that God who existed from eternity past, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Again, the virgin birth is everywhere. If you reject the virgin birth, you’re obviously rejecting scripture. And obviously if you connect the nonce, what you have is Jesus being simply a man and not the Savior. According to scripture for the Savior to redeem mankind, he would have to be a man.

He would have to be a sinless man to pay for the sins of another and in order to make an infinite payment to pay for the sins of the whole human race, he would have to be God. So the Savior would have to be a man, he would have to be God, and he would have to be without sin. And you know what the Scriptures foretold that, and Jesus Christ came and the Scriptures tell us that that is exactly true.

Jesus Christ was born of a human mother. He is conceived by God and therefore becomes the God-man. As God is the Father of this child, and God himself came in and dwelt this flesh that God brought about through a virgin birth. He was absolutely without sin had it not been for the virgin birth Christ would have been a sinner because the sin nature of Adam would have been passed on to Jesus Christ. The scripture tells us that all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which is spoken of the Lord by the Prophet.

I’m reading now from Matthew chapter 1 verse 22 and it says in verse 23, Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son.” The national call his name Immanuel. In the church I was raised in, I never got saved. I never heard the gospel there. I don’t believe anybody in my church was saved, but they all use the RSV translation. I call it the reversed satanic translation. Actually, it’s the revised standard translation. This This was done by the National Council of Confusion and the National Council of Churches, but really better titled the National Council of Confusion.

They attempt in their translation to do away with the virgin birth. In fact, in Isaiah 714, it says in the Divine Standard Version, a young girl would conceive. not a sign because young girls conceive and bear children every day. But when a virgin conceives, that would be a sign. And clearly the Bible teaches the virgin birth. And here Matthew tells us in his record in chapter 1 verse 22 that the fact that Jesus born of a virgin was the fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah that said God would give this sign that a virgin would conceive from the bare sun and call his name God dwelling with us.

This child, according to Isaiah 9, 6 would be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father. Should we call up the Jehovah’s Witnesses and let them know? They’ve apparently missed something. The child that was born in Bethlehem is the Mighty God. He’s the Everlasting Father. Most all of the cults deny the deity of Christ as the witnesses do, and certainly they are therefore false witnesses. The Bible record is clear. Jesus Christ is God who took on flesh born of a virgin in Bethlehem.

He grew up and became a man and went to the cross at Calvary in Jerusalem, and they are paid for the sins of the world. You know, the story is one really of Christ’s death, because although the birth is significant, you can celebrate the birth and millions will this year as they do every year and yet not recognize what happened that would bring about their salvation. You see, you must believe in the death of Christ to be saved. You must believe Christ died and shed his blood was buried in rose again from the dead to be saved.

That’s the gospel message. So you can celebrate the birth and still go to hell. You can celebrate the birth and still be lost. In fact, Satan doesn’t mind if he celebrate the birth of Christ because the center of Christianity is not the birth of Christ, but it’s the death of Christ. The Bible is quite clear that Christ died for our sins. And in order to be saved, you must trust the gospel message that Christ died for your sins was buried and rose again from the dead.

This is the message of Christmas and a message that we hope that you’ll be sharing with friends and families at gatherings and use tracks and different tools to make sure that the people across your paths will find out how to have eternal life. I’m Dr. Anglinson, this is by the line. We would love to hear from you today. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re offering a special Christmas special. Our intent is really to evangelize it this time.

And so our Christmas special for $100 donation is 20. The CD is called How Permanent is Your Salvation. This CD has been very effective in leading thousands of people to Christ. There’s a great chance that if you give this CD to someone and they play it, that they will become saved. It just has worked out that way. We’re going to give out 20 free ticket tracks to go along with the Howperms, the handbook on personal evangelism, a special DVD video that I produced that will be great to you.

The Christmas holidays are only seven minutes long, but a concise presentation of the gospel that maybe you can gather family and friends around the TV set and get them to take seven minutes of their time and hear the story of Christ. Plus some of my articles and if you want to get that special Christmas package, you can call and for a gift of $100, we’ll ship that right out to you. hopefully you can use it to evangelize over the holidays.

This is a great opportunity to do that for sure. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Wilburn in Richmond, Virginia and Wilburn. You’re on the air. Good morning. Jesus was fully God, fully human. My question is if Jesus’ blood was put under a microscope with the excite of his blood but remarkably different than his blood. Well, I am not a blood expert or whatever, but I’m not too familiar with what would happen under the microscope. But the Bible says that his blood was incorruptible blood.

So it had not been corrupted by the sin that Adam committed and was not passed down to him. And so his blood was sinless and he was a sinless man. So I would suspect yes, but I don’t know about what they would see under the microscope. We can’t do anything about it until we get to heaven and we’ll find out. But definitely the Bible teaches that man, everyone of us in human race had a corruptible birth. But Jesus had an incorruptible birth and that his nature is that he is absolutely sinless and he never committed a single act of sin.

And the Bible talks about his blood being precious blood. speaking speech of it is being incorruptible blood and so absolutely right on okay thank you for your answer your welcome wilburn in richmond virginia we have richard in west lee temple florida and uh… richard welcome the bible on your own year good morning sir good morning Yes, I will ask a question. You said this morning about that if Joseph had been the natural father of Jesus, then the the the simple nature of Joseph would have been passed on to Christ.

i believe so yes he would have been a sinner like the rest of us and and the virgin birth i think god planned this way so that the sin nature would not be passed on. You know the blood type is determined by the father, and the baby in the mother’s womb has a completely independent blood system from that of the mother, and the blood type of the baby can be different than the blood type of the mother, because the baby receives all of its nutrients from the placenta through the umbilical cord, and not one drop, unless there’s infection, of course, not one drop of the mother’s blood ever flows into the baby’s body and its blood system is totally independent and since Christ’s blood was type sinless, it obviously was determined by the Father which was God and obviously his blood was sinless and I believe the

Virgin Birth explains the sinlessness of Christ. And that I follow. For instance, I know that the Catholic doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, where Mary was sinless, so that Christ would not receive the sin from her flesh. And of course, I don’t ascribe to that, but I was wondering though, and when you said the sinful nature, that stands for the idea that the sin exists in the flesh itself. So I was wondering then, where does the, what is the nature of the relationship between Mary and the child with Well, Mary was simply the host of the child.

As I said, the blood type and the sex is determined by the father, and so the child was followed by God, therefore he had blood type sinless, and the Bible says his blood was incorruptible. So Mary simply was the host. And this happens, uh… In modern day events to where they can take a cow and it can be a scrub cow and yet they can implant in the womb a baby cow of a different breed even. The host mother really and the baby really will have no relationship at all except she hosted the baby and it’s like a surrogate mother in a sense.

So Mary was the one that played that role. She was the host of that flesh and the mother of that flesh but God was the father. The host then of the flesh that God put in her rather than God fertilizing one of her eggs, let’s say. Well I’m sure she brought it that the Holy Spirit brought about the conception because it does say that, which is conceived in her is conceived in the Holy Spirit. So definitely he must have impregnated her egg.

But again the baby’s blood and system is totally independent from the mother. So the father determines that and we know that today. And so God is the father and therefore he is without sin. Whereas had Joseph been the father he would have been a sinner and we could not have had a savior. So he got no that is correct You don’t describe no Mary according to man at you Luke 147 She says my soul death magnify the Lord and my soul rejoices in God my Savior So she admits to her need of a Savior and she had the trust in Christ To save her soul so she obviously was a sinner like everyone else and certainly that’s consistent with scripture where it says all have sinned That would include Mary except for Jesus of course.

Thank you very much, sir. All right. You’re very welcome and thank you for that call from Wesley Chapel. And now we have Jim in Tampa, Florida. Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Jim, you’re on the air. Hello, Jim. Can’t find Jim there. We have a number of off-air questions, so We’ll go ahead and take those and we will go now to Anonymous in Tampa. He says, I asked Jesus into my heart when I was seven and I am saved.

Let me just stop right there because you have to trust Christ to be saved. The next sentence says, I first of course trusted him as my Savior. So that’s the answer there. If that experience was not real, then I must be a fake Christian. Well, if you first trusted Christ, then you became saved. But it wasn’t by inviting Christ in your heart. That certainly is not a scriptural thing at all. There’s nowhere in the Bible where it says you’re to invite Christ in your heart to be saved.

The only verse that people really appeal to is the one in Revelation 3 20 where Christ is behold I stand at the door and not. If you read the context, the door is that of the Laodicean Church and the Church had left Christ outside their fellowship and he was knocking, asking to come in and suffer with them. He speaks of fellowship in the Christian walk and he is not talking about salvation at all. He’s talking about coming in and fellowshipping with the believers within the church.

And so if you did indeed First Trust Christ as your Savior, you were saved. And the asking Jesus in your heart was absolutely a sidebar which was wrong and unscriptural. And unfortunately a lot of people have been taking down that route. I was taking down that route. And the church I was raised in, we did it every Sunday, the moment of silence where we sang the chorus into my heart, into my heart, come into my heart, Lord Jesus, come into day, come into stay, come into my heart, Lord Jesus, why did that?

That every Sunday. So between the ages of 6 and 18, I probably did that 600 times, and yet I was never saved. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I learned that I had to trust that Jesus died and shed his blood for me in order to be saved. And I got saved at 18, even though I had hundreds of times invited Jesus into my heart. That will never save you. In fact, we’re not saved by asking. We’re saved by trusting what Christ finished for us at the cross.

It’s not based upon anything that we do. It’s based upon what He did for us. When we trust Christ, we’re saved. Mary in Bartow calls in and she leaves this question. She says, please explain Job 1-6 where God calls angels his sons. Well, it doesn’t say anywhere in Job 1, 6 that God calls angels his sons. It says there, the sons of God came together to worship the Lord. That was here on the earth and the sons of God are believers.

In Hebrews 1, 5, write it down, Mary, God said he never called an angel his son ever. So that answers the question forever. God never ever called an angel his son. And so the sons of God and Job 1 are believed to be his son. believers, including Job’s own sons, who came together to worship a Lord, and the scene was on the earth, and there are no angels there in that verse. No word is the word angel appear there at all.

So there are no angels there. We now have Jim, he’s ready, and we have him, and he’s in Tampa, Florida. Jim? You’re on the air. Turn your radio down. Okay. You have a question? We have to go quick because we’re coming up on the brake. Okay. What is your question? The question is, I was talking to my mother and I was trying to explain to her and I really don’t think she’s safe. She was talking about when a person goes to hell she doesn’t think he or she will burn forever that the hell the fire will burn forever.

I was trying to find that in the Bible. I couldn’t find it. All right. Well, Revelation 14 tells us that the smoke of their torment will ascend up forever and ever. They’ll have no rest day or night. Those that are cast into hell. We’ve got to go to break and we’ll come back and talk more about this when we get back. system to get back, so keep your dial tuned right here to Bible Well I’m Dr. Englund’s from Mrs.

Consider putting Christ on the shopping list and maybe use Bibleline as a way of giving to Christ this Christmas by giving us a Christmas gift here at Bibleline to be used for our ministry expenses. Again, I don’t get paid nor does our staff. We are leaning on all of our contributions toward the getting out of the gospel and we are reaching out all over the world. In fact we had good news. We heard just the other day that our television programs on the internet, if you go on my internet site and view them, we had 10,000 people viewing our TV programs on the internet.

We have been on that long and so we are just excited. 1600 downloaded our television programs for their video iPods and so we’re excited about how God is blessing in using Bibleline radio and television and We thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to Bibleline We really couldn’t be on the air without your help. God bless you and thank you in advance We have this 20 rather this like Christmas special for a hundred dollar donation Foundation, 20 Halperms, which is the Halpermanent Azure Salvation DVD rather, and it has been effective in leading thousands to Christ.

It really does work. And if you get someone to listen to that CD, the chances of them trusting the Lord are great. Also, we will send you 20 pre-ticket tracks to go along with that. Also the handbook on Personal Evangelism, a special Salvation DVD video. You can use it at the hall of days. It’s just a seven minute video presentation. And if you can just get your family together around the TV, put this DVD in and play it for seven minutes.

A good way to bring Christ into your Christmas celebration and give the gospel an invitation to trust Christ right there to your family. And we’re excited about helping a quick view to evangelize. And so for that Christmas special, $100 donation will send all of you that, all of the material we mentioned about a $150 value. We’re going to go back to the phone lines now and we have a number of people calling in. We have Mary patiently waiting in Spring Hill and Mary, your first up.

You’re welcome. You’re on the line. Hi, Pastor Hank. I was calling the guy that keeps calling in about Pharaoh and he would have been saved by the… He should read Romans 9, 14 to 21. And it says, who are we to reply against God? Because he formed us so he knows us. Well, you’re absolutely right. That’s a great passage. I mean, God is the potter and we’re the clay and He has every right to make whatever choice He wants.

But I believe that God doesn’t want any to perish, according to 2 Peter 3, and that Pharaoh really hardened his own heart as far as the gospel is concerned. But when you read the Scripture carefully back in Exodus, God hardened his heart that He wouldn’t let the children Israel go because he wanted to demonstrate to the world and to the people of Egypt that he was the true and living God and that he was the only Redeemer, the only Savior.

But in this Romans it even mentions Pharaoh. Oh yeah, it sure does. I’m glad you shared it and I hope that Gary, who is the fellow that called in with that question, would be listening in here, that and look that up. okay i just wanted to share that because it’s like he was arguing with god how dare you do this amen thank you mary all right all right that was mary and excellent uh… contribution there we have grace in sun cities center florida and grace welcome about on your own ear thank you good morning and doctor lintzdam i’m going to say many times that having such a wonderful place and we all be very happy But I’m studying Revelation in Revelation 6 9, I read that the masses of the tribulation periods are under the altar, crying out to God, when God, when, when, when you’re going

to venture blood. That doesn’t seem a very happy place to me to be under the altar, crying out. Can you have an explanation for that? Well, it’s very temporary there. actually during the tribulation period and the Lord will obviously come back at the second coming at the invets seven year period and take vengeance on the unsaved and those that have martyred all those Christians including the antichrist will be defeated. So there is going to be some tears in heaven at the very beginning.

It’s not until after the thousand year reign of Christ and we see the new heavens and the new earth that it says in Revelation 21 verse 4 that God comes over and wipes the tears from our eyes. So for a short period at least and right on up till the new heavens and new earth which is after the thousand year reign of Christ there will apparently be some tears and we’ll probably have some regrets ourselves about not living for the Lord as much as we could have.

And then God will, I think, wipe away those tears and He’s going to remove the former things from our memories that would cause pain and sorrow and then there’ll be no more sorrow and there’ll be no more pain and no more sickness, no more death, no more anything that would be sorrowful in heaven. Okay, okay that explains it. Thank you Grace. Thank you doctor. All right that was Grace in Sun City Center and apparently for a short time there will be some tears and but they’ll all be washed away.

We have Off-Air Herbie in Tampa, Florida. He says please give your view on music in general in all styles such as jazz, rock, and the biblical view of the topic. I think that the key thing in music is, of course, the words. A lot of the music today, you can’t even understand the words. I don’t have a clue what they’re saying in some of these songs. I think you’d have to really slow them down for me. But also, a lot of the words today in many songs are absolutely filthy, blasphemous, and advocate killing, raping, and everything else, obviously definitely unbiblical.

So I reject all kinds of music like that. But also I feel like if as Christians we ought to be… Listing to music that would be uplifting. You know in Philippians 4 it says that whatever things are true, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are good report, these are the things we should be thinking on. And music will kind of capture our thoughts. And if our thoughts are misled by the music then I think we need to get rid of that music.

So I think we have to be careful what we listen to. I think that you can have styles of music that you might like, but don’t forget that your mind is to be guarded, the Bible says, and what we put into our minds is what will impact our lives, and so we need to be careful what we program our minds with. The Bible says that the wise or happy Christian is the one that meditates in God’s word day and night.

We have songs that reinforce biblical themes and biblical truths, and certainly that would most likely be the best kind of music to help us be able to fulfill what it says there in Psalms 1 about how to be happy, how to be prosperous, how to have God’s blessing is to keep our minds focused on heavenly things and our music can influence us that way in a great way. We have Edgar in Petersburg, Virginia and Edgar welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Hey, what’s going on today? I want to know, where is the New Testament described in Greek rather than Hebrew? That’s a great question. And the reason why is because at the time of Christ, the Greek language was pervasive throughout the world and that was the language of the time. The Jewish people of course, in bringing us the Old Testament, spoke Hebrew and the Old as written in Hebrew, but when Christ came along, Alexander the Great had spread his Greek culture from around 300 years before Christ throughout the known world.

And so the Old Testament Hebrew Bible even had to be translated into Greek so people could read it and the translation was called the Septuagint translation. And that was used in the time of Christ and the language of the world in that time was Greek. So that’s why the New Testament was written in the language of the people, the language of the people at that time was Greek. Okay. So is that what they… No, that’s something else later. Helen was the wife of Constantine and she lived around four centuries after Christ.

So not the same thing. Okay, Dr. Hanger also wanted to avert to the listeners that the Jamison, False It Brown, and the J. Vernon McGee commentaries, there are on the blue letter Bible page and the online resources heading under Bible search on the Bible on website, and it can be found in the list of commentaries icon. Just in case they can’t purchase the J-… the Jamison false and all. They sure can. We have it on our website and those are the two that I really recommend and thank you, Edgar.

Those are good to have in your library and also a great gift to give to somebody here at Christmas time. Melody in Tampa, Florida calls in and she says, are we still under the law? And the answer is no. You can read Romans 6, 7, 8. We’re certainly not any longer under the law. She says, do we have to still tithe? And the answer is, no, the tithe was under the law, but we are to still give. And as somebody once said, should we give less under grace than we gave under the law or under the tithe?

If you read 2 Corinthians 9, 8, it says, God loves the cheerful giver. that we’re each to give according has got us prospered us and to make a purposeful decision as to what we’re going to give. So we need to sit down on the side and then somebody said maybe we ought to give 10.5% but we’re not under the law. We are to do it from the heart not because of the necessity or the need the Bible says but because we love the Lord and want to invest in eternity.

Alright, we have Jim in Lakeland, Florida and he says I’m still confused about Hanukkah and the date that Jesus appeared, could you explain? Alright, and Hanukkah by the way is this Saturday. Jewish people will begin to celebrate it this Friday evening the 15th of December and they will celebrate for eight days. And Hanukkah occurred in 165 BC when the temple in Jerusalem was rededicated and the menorah was lighted with one day’s oil and stayed lighted for eight days. Now, every year after that they celebrated the dedication of the temple.

That’s another name for Hanukkah. It’s also called the festival of lights. And in around 80-29 or so, Jesus walks into the temple on the celebration day of Hanukkah. And this is now almost 200 years later. And He’s the one for whom the temple was built. And they were celebrating the rededication of that temple that was built for Jesus, who’s God. And so when He comes into the temple on that date, they reject Him. And so Hanukkah is all about Christ, the temple that was built for him.

He’s God who would come and dwell in that temple. And he was rejected. And of course then Christ predicted that the temple would be destroyed and it hasn’t existed now for 2000 years. So hopefully Jim that helps. And Hanukkah is coming up this weekend. I tell people happy Hanukkah. It’s all about Jesus. Jesus makes his claims on Hanukkah. If you read John 10, beginning in verse 22, the crowd of Jews, the leadership of Israel, came around Jesus when he came into the temple on Hanukkah and they said, How long do you make us to doubt?

If you are the Christ, the Messiah, tell us plainly. And Christ said, I’ve told you and you believe me not. And he laid out his claims and when he told them that he was God, they picked up stones to stonom and they said for good work we stoned the knot but for blasphemy because you’re a man claiming that you’re God. And so that’s it and I hope that helps clarify it. But Hanukkah was the rededication of the temple being celebrated every year and when Christ came almost 200 years later he comes and enters the temple on that celebration day and they rejected we have henry in st peterburg and henry welcome to bible on your own morning so how you don’t get i have a question that my wife actually could you explain her uh…

whether they do not who they represent in the revelation at the great court all right that’ll be the one world church of the tribulation period if you read the chapter carefully it says that the woman is not only a religious system but it is a city and then it says the city is in verse nine built upon seven hills uh… almost all commentators uh… recognize that to be wrong so we believe it is the world church that will be headed up from rom that will be the great whore and this is a system that is called here the woman the woman the woman the woman and there’s only one church system that i know of in the world that exalts a woman to the top and that is Roman Catholicism.

Mary is prayed to adored and worship and is kicked right to the top of the totem pole, whereas in every other religion, women are trampled upon, especially in Islam, but in other religions as well, women don’t fear too well. But in Roman Catholicism, Mary is placed right up there next to Jesus. In In fact, call her the co-redemptors that she shared equally in our redemption. And that she is the wife of the Holy Spirit. She’s the queen of the universe and the queen of heaven and many other titles that are pagan and have nothing to do with Christianity.

So I believe it’s the Roman Catholic Church. Okay. I have one other question. I go off to our edition. Could you explain to her about the meaning of Jesus when he was born, what day do they think he was born on? Because the stuff I think is like I said, Tim are either October. She want to know why there’s so many religion skills to celebrate Christians. Well, what happened was in 321 AD, Constantine declared the world to be Christian.

And the pagan celebrations were already going on, and Baal’s birthday was celebrated at the Winter Solstice on December 25th. And so all of a sudden when Christianity was declared to be the world religion, they They simply changed the names and the birthday to Baal now becomes the birthday of Christ. The pagan means of celebrating it were included in the Christianity. If you read Jeremiah chapter 10, it tells us that they would go out and cut a perfectly good tree out of the forest and take it home, nail it down and decorate with silver and gold.

That was the way they would celebrate Bales’ birthday in the winter. And again… We believe Christ was probably born in October, probably on the Feast of Tabernacles, which we believe speaks of Christ’s tabernacleing God in a human body here on the earth. And I think John might be hitting that in John 1 14 when he says, and the word that is God was made flesh and dwelt. The word dwelt there means the tabernacle. And perhaps a veiled reference to the fact that he came at the time of the feast of tabernacles which is generally around October sometime.

So that’s when Christ was born. If you go to my internet site and you look at the archives of my radio messages, we also have some sermons. I have a message here that you can listen to on what I believe is the true birthday of Christ. And so you might take advantage of the internet to do that. Okay, thank you, sir. You’re so welcome. And we have a lot more collars here. We’ll try to get to as many as many as we can.

We have Madeleine in Bradenton, Florida and Madeleine. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Oh, good morning, Pastor Hank. Oh, every day. Hey, thank you. Thanks. I’ve got a question for you. The person I called in just before, we were talking about Hanukkah. And this is a question that I have in my mind. Did you expect a king? Were they? Were they not a man, as I say? Are there any biblical verses that the king is coming? Not a man?

Oh, absolutely. Well, he was, of course, a man. The God-man, but he was also a king. And the problem was that the Jews missed the fact that the Bible had predicted two comings. the first coming Christ would come as a suffering Messiah and the second time he would come as a glorious King and liberate them from all other oppressors and become their King and the King over the whole earth. And so when you read the prophecies about the suffering of the Messiah they didn’t want to seem to believe those or accept them.

But if you read Luke 24, Jesus says, oh fools, it’s low of heart to believe all that the the prophets have spoken. He tells how that the Christ would have to come first to suffer, then he would come in all of his glory as a king. So there are two comings and clearly they rejected him at his first because they were expecting that king and they wanted to be not under the Roman authority. They hated Rome and they were hoping somebody would come and deliver them from the tyranny of Rome and set them free and they rejected Christ who came as a suffering Messiah on his first coming.

Okay. And more to be my question. The second coming is a king. Is that in Revelation? Well, yes. The book of Revelation is talking about his second coming and how that’s still ahead and he’ll come back as a king and he’ll rule over the whole earth as the king of kings and Lord of Lords. If you read Revelation 19 in particular, it describes his coming out of heaven to become that king over the earth. Another question pertaining to that, to Pastor Hank.

A son Jewish people, my sister is a weak work cat, what I call till last week, and she is now Jewish. And I don’t know how I haven’t seen her hurt for most of quite a while, I haven’t got a parlor. And do they not believe in the New Testament? they’re waiting for him to come as a king only in the tribulation period? Well, you know, many Jewish people today aren’t waiting for anything. They just seem to be quite secular and are not really believing their own scriptures.

But truly he is coming and he will come as a king whether they believe it or not, but there will be a remnant after the rapture. Many, many millions of Jews will get saved and they will receive Christ as king when he comes the second time and he will establish his kingdom on the earth when he comes and they will be included. If they don’t believe in the New Testament or have that in their Bible, is there any place and there that says Jesus is.

Absolutely, sure. And if you read Isaiah 53, the whole chapter is written 700 years before Christ came and tells about his birth and his life and how he was crucified to pay for our sins, how he was tried and didn’t defend himself, and how he was killed to pay for the sins of the world, and how he came back from the dead, and so on. It’s a marvelous chapter. Just look up that 53rd chapter of Isaiah. Thank you. You’re very welcome.
