Bibleline Radio Show – 2007-02-14 – Judgement of The Nations

The judgement of the nations is an event that will occur seven years after the rapture, immediately following Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. As Jesus Christ sets up His earthly (1,000 year kingdom), His first order of business is to judge the nations and eliminate the unsaved from entering the millennium.

Thanks again for tuning in to Bible Life. We are going to turn to a passage here. We had Catherine in Utica, New York, calling with this question. I am just going to talk about it now early on. She says, please explain Matthew 8, 11 through 12.

Sons of the Kingdom will be cast out, who are they? Can someone just say they are saved, but really are not? Well, this is an interesting passage, and of course here in Matthew we’re talking about the kingdom that Christ will establish a thousand year rule of peace on earth, good will toward men, when Jesus’ rice will come back and rule and reign on this earth and bring peace on earth good will toward men. So during the tribulation period that precedes it, the ones who should He said, I’ll say to you, that many shall come from the east and the west, and so sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom.

in the Kingdom of Heaven. Now the Kingdom of Heaven is literally the Kingdom of the Heavens, where the heavens will rule over the earth during the Millennium. And when Christ comes, He’ll establish peace on earth and we find those that are entering in are all saved. You know when Christ comes back, it says in 2nd Thessalonians 1 8 9 that He comes back in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that no not gone, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And so that those that have not obeyed the gospel by trusting Christ as Savior are going to be killed, no unbelievers will enter into the kingdom. Now the ones who the kingdom was offered is the nation of Israel. And here we have the story of a Roman soldier, a man under authority, and he says about having his servant healed, he says, Lord my servant, life at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented, and Jesus said, I will come and heal him, and the centurion said, I’m not worthy.

It thou should have come unto my roof, but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, and I say to this man, go and he goeth and to another, come and he cometh and to my servant, do this and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to them that followed, barely I sinned you, I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.

So here he is talking about a Gentile who had great faith. And so then he talks about what will happen during the tribulation period that many Gentiles will come from the east and from the west and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in this thousand year reign of Christ, but the children of the kingdom, referring to those that are of Jewish ancestry which have not trusted Christ to save you during the tribulation period, will not enter into the kingdom.

And so he says, the children of the kingdom shall be cast into outer darkness and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Obviously they’re lost, but it says here that the ones who ought to really enter in, many of them will not, but those who really it wasn’t planned for but are invited to come because of faith will indeed come. You know, there’s a simple rule. You always interpret a difficult passage in the light of a clear one and you’ll find that in John 637 Jesus says, barely, barely I say unto you, that if you come to Him He says, I will in no wise cast out anyone that has come to me.

So for no reason or under no circumstances and plans would Christ ever cast out a believer. So these are not believers. These are Jewish people who should, by all rights, enter the kingdom, but unless they receive the king or trust Christ, they will not, and that’s why they’re cast out. So hopefully that answers your question. We’re not talking about saved people being lost once they become saved. And obviously in regard to the question, can a person say they’re Christian and not be one?

Well, of course that’s true. And many, many I think are in that category. I was raised in a church and everybody there would have said they were a Christian, including myself, and yet I discovered I wasn’t, and I hadn’t understood or heard the gospel until I was 18. And that’s when I got saved. When I realized that salvation was not by works, and that’s a key issue. not by works, it is the gift of God and is by trusting in Christ alone as the only means of your salvation.

The Bible says in Romans 4-5 to the one who does not work, but believeth on Christ who justifies the end godly, his faith in Christ is counted for righteousness. So Catherine in Newcom, New York, I hope that helps the passages talking about the kingdom that Christ will establish at his second coming, only believers will enter in. There are children of the kingdom, in other words the Jewish people, many of which will not have trusted Christ, they will be cast out and not allow the inner in, but any…

One, whether they’re Jewish or Gentile, if they do receive the gospel message, they’ll be invited to enter into the kingdom. And so it’s basically only for saved, and the children of the kingdom there are not saved people. They are simply the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And you’ll notice that Christ says that these Gentiles will sit down with Abraham and with Isaac and Jacob. the people from whom the nation of Israel sprang. Abraham and then his son Isaac and his grandson Jacob are the lineage of the people that we call Israel.

And the children of those were the ones for whom this kingdom was planned. And they’re invited first, but we find that many of those children, because they have not trusted Christ, will not enter Hopefully that makes it clear. I’m Dr. Englunds from This Is By the Line. Great to be with you today. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Our phone lines are ready to go. All you need to do is dial 1-800-576-3771 and we’ll put you up on the air or you can leave a question off air today.

We have Diane in Palm Harbor, Florida and she asks a question a question off air and she says where in the Bible during these times Jesus will come referring to the generation now living since Israel is again a nation. Well that’s in Matthew 24 and you’ll find there the parable of the fig tree and in Matthew 24 Jesus talks about learn about this fig tree which is representative of Israel which Christ cursed as he was rejected just before he goes to the cross, saying, let no fruit grow on thee for an age.

And many talks here in chapter 24 of Matthew that when that fig tree begins the blossom and put forth leaves, that it’s time for Christ to return. And then we believe that that is Israel now back in their land and now functioning as a a nation again, and as they begin to establish themselves and grow and put forth leaves, that’s when Jesus Christ will come back. And then he says in verse 34, this generation, verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled.

I think he’s talking here about the generation living when Israel would become a nation, And perhaps particularly when they would get Jerusalem back, which is of course what happened in the Six-Day War in 1967, that that generation living then would still be living when Christ would return. So I think we’re living close and I think this is a great passage to take a look at. So Diana, I hope that helps. Diana calling in from Palm Harbor, Florida, leaving that offer question.

We haveWisconsin. Dear James in Tampa, Florida says your opening comments yesterday were awesome with Galatians 517. Could it be that people are having so much difficulty with their flesh because they’re not spending any time with the Lord in prayer reading the Word and assembling with true believers and not growing up spiritually? Please expound and you’re absolutely right. Your spiritual health is dependent upon your doing those things which God says we ought to do which are the foundations of our Christian life.

We sometimes call them the four talks or they are expressed sometimes as the four walks. The four talks are God talks to us through the Bible. So we need to read the Bible to allow God to talk to us. If your Bible is zipped up and on the shelf you are not allowing God to speak to you. So you need to open that book regularly. Jesus says in Matthew 4, 4, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

The second talk is prayer. That’s when we talk to God. And obviously prayer, conversation with the Lord is something that is encouraged in the Bible. We’re told to pray without ceasing. I believe that means we kind of keep the line open and we can just resume our conversation at any moment as we go out, go throughout the day. And certainly I don’t have to re-dial up the Lord as a believer. I just kind of keep keep him on the line and we talk throughout the day.

And prayer is essential. So the first talk is where God talks to us and that’s through his word. The second talk is where we talk to him through prayer. The third talk is when we fellowship with other believers. And that’s a very essential thing in Hebrews 1025. it says we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is, but even so much the more We should encourage one another to fellowship or come together as a body of believers to worship and study his word in order that we might be strengthened and encouraged.

And it says so much the more as you see the day approaching. So as we see Christ coming, getting closer, more and more, we ought to be attending church where believers are gathered and be strengthened by the fellowship and so on and so on. Just had a couple tell me just the other day that they get all pumped up on Sunday and Monday they’re still pumped up and Tuesday begins to wane and by the middle of the week they kind of slack off.

And of course that’s why I have a midweek service to try to bump us back up again as believers when we come together really receive great encouragement from one another and the singing of the hymns and the getting together in fellowship with other believers and studying his word has a powerful impact upon the Christian and we really need to do that regularly. So that’s important. The fourth one of course is the fourth talk which is witnessing to the lost.

That’s telling the lost how they can be saved. So the first talk is God speaking to us through the Bible. As we read the Bible he talks to us. Talk number two we talk to him through prayer. The third talk is fellowship where where we talk to other believers and gain strength by the mutual faith of each other. Then the fourth talk is talking to the lost where we share the gospel with the unsaved. You know, I think that’s one of the most important because if you do number four, you’ll be actually driven to do the other three.

I find that if you’re witnessing the people, you’ll have to study the Bible to be able to answer their questions. So you’ll do the first talk. I find that if you are witnessing that you will also be driven to prayer, you’ll have to say, Lord, I need help, help me in leading this person to Christ. And so absolutely all of that is necessary. And then of course when you lead people to Christ you’ll wind up fellowshipping with Him and that’s also very, very important.

And so I think when you do the last one, all of them come together. In any case, I hope that answers your question. And certainly, Galatians 517 says, our flesh lust against the Spirit. And if we are going to be successful as a Christian, we have to walk in the Spirit, Galatians 516, and will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. So the flesh will always be there, but we need to be catering to our Spirit nature, walking in the direction led to us by the Spirit of God.

Our phone number here by the line if you’d like to call in is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. So give us a call and we’d love to get you up on the air. Wyatt in Lakeland, Florida calls in and says, when When you die, how soon is the soul being, I’m not too sure, I was clinically dead from a heart attack of three and a half minutes. Well you’re not dead yet. Obviously clinically dead is not the biblical definition of death.

The biblical definition is that when you die that your soul is separated from your body. And when that happens, then you’re dead, and the soul doesn’t come back. And so you obviously are not spiritually dead or dead as the Bible describes it until your soul leaves your body. And when that happens, you are then dead and your soul doesn’t come back. So you really weren’t dead yet, technically according to the Bible, although your heart stop beating, you are not really dead at all.

You have to actually have your soul leave your body and then the body begins to be composed and unless God miraculously intervenes and there’s a resurrection, you’re not coming back. So hopefully that will help you answer that question. And so we thank you for that call and I hope that explained it and we We invite you to call anytime you want. Again, 1-800-576-3771 and you’re invited to call us here at Bibleline. We have Tom in Lutz, Florida and he says, I heard John Hege say the two witnesses would be Elijah and Enoch.

But I’ve heard you say Elijah and Moses. Please explain. Well, if you look at the scriptures and in Revelation 11 where it describes the two witnesses that will come back and preach during the tribulation period We find that the two witnesses there clearly are Moses and Elijah. It says that they will one of them pray and it will not rain. And the one who did that in the Old Testament was Elijah. He prayed during the wicked days of King Ahab and sure enough it did not rain.

We also find that the other prophet will pray and he’ll work the plagues and turn the waters to blood. as often as he will, and that obviously was Moses. So the two prophets, I believe, are without a doubt Moses and Elijah. Also, in the Mount of Transfiguration in Matthew 17, when Christ is seen as he will be in all of his power and all of his glory at his return, we find that Moses and Elijah appear there with Christ at his second coming.

So I think there’s not much debate about it, and of course it seems like Enoch might be a candidate because he never died like Elijah, but God has preserved Moses’ body for this event, and you read about that in Jude 1-9 where Michael the Archangel had a dispute with Satan who called foul play when he calls out about how Moses’ body was preserved for this future event and Michael simply says the Lord rebuke me and didn’t really try to get into a fight with it.

So anyway that’s what’s going on there and now we’re going to go to some of the live colors. We have Madeline in Bradenton Florida and Madeline welcome to by line you’re on the air. Madeline welcome to by line. Thank you if you have time. I’m this kind of strange kind of historical but the Mayan civilization and the as did they come from the biblical population originally? Well I think everybody did. You know we all were one race and they either got on their little raft or their canoe and got over there or they were part of a split in the land and drifted over there.

But in any case, there’s evidence that probably the Egyptians got a lot of their gold from the Americas, perhaps, as some of the speculation goes, and that there was a travel and commerce back and forth in ancient days that long before Columbus ever came along. And of course, these civilizations were civilizations that apparently rejected truth and then went away from the truth. You know that’s the order that seems to give in the Bible and you see that where civilizations kind of go astray when they reject the revelation of God.

And of course you see the the Grecian Empire, the Roman Empire, all the better. Truth has been there but then they rejected including the Egyptians and so on they rejected the truth and they got themselves in trouble and they became pagan or away from the truth of God. So that’s my view. Yes, it makes sense. This is another question. I think you may have answered for another call or end to do with, say about accounting, ask you here. If you do it for the least of them, you’ve done it for me.

Yeah, that’s in 1925 at the judgment of the nations. We find that Christ will talk to those that were saved and commend them for what they did in treating the 144,000 who had brought the gospel to people during the tribulation period. And then we find that he berates those that are the lost, the goats for not having done that. But of course they had no compassion at all upon the ones that were bringing the gospel in the tribulation period, which he calls my brethren several times in that passage.

And it has nothing to do with whether they were saved or not. But it simply was that the save had compassion upon those and the unsaved did not. They were saved by a birth. They the sheep became sheep by trusting Christ and the goats were Unsaved and remained goats and did not you see the new birth? That’s why they were lost Does it also apply to us today saved people? being Well, I think that believers are more likely to be compassionate upon others than unbelievers are but not always so but in this case it was to be compassionate upon the ones that were bringing the gospel in the days and that was in the tribulation period which are the 144,000 Jews.

Is it anything to do with rewards nowadays for… Oh, absolutely. Save that if we do it for the reason. Exactly. And so whenever we do something in kindness toward others, we very definitely are doing exactly what the Bible says there. And there’s another one more if you have the time. All right. It says I will go away and come again and you will rejoice if I go away. Trying to find it on the paper here. Well, I’ve done 14.

He says. He’s in a lot of about how he’s going to leave and how he’s going to send another comforter, which is the Holy Spirit who will indwell us. But if he were here in a physical body, he would be limited to one place on the earth at a time. Whereas in the person of the Holy Spirit, he could be indwelling every one of us. And obviously we could all enjoy his fellowship and his presence in our bodies. So this is Jesus in us as the Holy Spirit.

But we have the through the Bible commentary, a five volume beautifully bound set by Vernon McGee. It retails for 200. We have it for gift of 100 to Bible on. We have also the Zondervan pictorial Bible dictionary. I love it because I love the pictures and that is for a gift of $25. That’s a real bargain.

That’s really my favorite of all of the ones that we have.

In any case, give us a call or look on the internet at our online bookstore and you’ll find that you have pictures and descriptions there and you can order right off of the internet. I’m Dr. Anker, and this is Bibleline. Our phone number is 1-800-576-3771, and we have Ortha in Port Charlotte, Florida, and welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Ortha? Good morning, yes. Hi, you’re on the air. Thank you so much. I’m good. Thank you. What is your question today?

My question. We know about Adam and Eve, and we know the creation but where did Cain get his wife? Is there a little creation going on in the temple? Well the answer is, and most people get this wrong because they don’t, they really imagine as I did, that Cain and Abel were just two kids playing in the sandbox out back in the backyard of Adam and Eve’s home and that’s not the case. They were over a hundred years of age when the murder took place and it tells us when Cain killed Abel that God replaced able with another seed 125 years after Adam and Eve.

The Bible had been around. They had had a lot of kids over that period of time. Some estimate because many of those births were multiple births. As God said he would as a part of the curse multiply their conception. We find that even Cain and Abel were twins. Somebody did the work on how many could be born over a period of 125 years. The population of the world might have been about 100,000 is speculated by the time the murder was committed.

Then, of course, when he’s banished to the land of Nod, it says he knew his wife. That means he had a sexual relationship with her and she becomes pregnant. You’ll notice immediately following the phrases and she conceived. And so basically he had babies over there in the land of Nod. He took his wife with him. And obviously she had to be one of his sisters. But you know, man when he was created at the beginning was created perfect. And I believe because of sin we’ve gone downhill and it wasn’t till later at Mount Sinai that God warned about marrying your brothers and sisters and even cousins.

And I think because of the birth defects that would come by this ancestral relationship, but there was no problem apparently at the beginning, but later it became a problem. I hope that helps. Oh, yes. Thank you so much. Well, thank you, Ortha, and Port Charlotte, Florida. And now we’re going to go to Darnell in St. Petersburg in Darnell. Welcome to violin. You’re on the end. I just wanted to know what it would be scripturally found to say that upon death, I heard the guy talking about death, that the Bible says that will be changed in the tWintzland of an eye.

And that’s the reason why there’s a strong difference between clinical death and biblical death because when actual death takes place, it happens so quick or that scripture just solely dealing with the rapture. Now, let’s talk about the rapture that will be caught up and changed in the tWintzland. If you die physically, your body will obviously be taken to the grave or cremated or whatever, but your soul is instantly in the presence of the Lord and it’s not coming back if you’re a believer.

If you’re an unbeliever, your soul goes immediately to the heart of the earth to Hades and it’s not coming back. You’ll be there until after the thousand year reign of Christ, then brought up out of Hades, judged and given a degree of punishment and cast into hell the everlasting lake of fire. So death when it does happen is irreversible but many of these clinical type things where the heart stops they might define that as death when your heart is stopped beating but you really haven’t died until your soul leaves your body.

Okay, all right. Thanks a lot, Bob. Hey. Okay. Thank you, Darnell. In St. Pete, we have Evelyn in Largo Florida and Evelyn, welcome to violin. Hello. Hi, Evelyn. I have a question that’s troubled me many years when I think of it, but basically I try to not think of it. In the beginning, when God made Adam and Eve and put them in the garden and told them not to take of the fruit that they told not to take, God would have known ahead of time what choice they were going to make.

What would be the point? I mean, you gave a free choice, but at the same time God knows what we’re going to do tomorrow. And so… Well, you’re absolutely right. And that’s why it says in the Bible that God also planned the redemption of man before the foundation of the world. God planned that Christ would come and be slain to redeem us. But I think the whole point is that God wanted creatures of choice and he allowed choice. He could have made us all robots and we would approach God and stretch out our arms and say, I love you, God I love you, but he would find no pleasure in that.

So he chose to give his choice and obviously in doing so he knew that sin and anarchy and ruin would come into his universe but he was willing to pay that price because he truly wanted to give us that choice and have creatures of choice who choose him and love him from the heart and not because we are programmed or designed to do that. And I think that’s really the answer. Why somewhere in all of that? And one day when we get to heaven, we’ll understand it as one hymn writer wrote, Better By and By.

Well, I think I still have the same question because God knew ahead of time what was going to happen. but he didn’t know ahead of time because he planned it that way. He knew it because he naturally is not bound by time. So God knows the future. But he doesn’t know the future because he made our choices for us and there’s a difference. For example, I might know that I’m going to go to the grocery store at three o’clock this afternoon because I’m planning to do that.

But God doesn’t know it because He planned it that way, because He knows it because He simply knows the future. And so knowing the future, He also made provision in advance for Christ to die, but He didn’t make your choice as far as accepting Him or not accepting Him. Now there are many areas in which we don’t have a choice. We sin because we are born with a sin-natured heritage from Adam and there is no way to escape that.

Everybody on the planet has sinned and has come short of the glory of God. And of course God has provided a redeemer Christ who died and paid for our sin. But when we trust him that’s when we are saved. And once we die, we’ll of course be freed from our sin nature and in heaven we’ll get a brand new body that will be perfect and will be free from the presence of sin and from the persuasion of sin. The power of sin will be delivered totally when they get to heaven.

But God knows the future, yes, but He didn’t make your decision for you. Thank you. Evelyn, thank you for calling. And this is Bible and I’m Dr. Englunds from, we have Bill in Tampa, leaves this question off air just now. He says, how can one define a cult? Well, cults are usually defined as claiming to be somewhat connected to Christianity, not always, but the main definition is that they deny the basic doctrines of Christianity. the fact that the bible is uh…

alone the infallible uh… guide or direct uh… uh… uh… directive for the believer that we need to go to the bible all the cults have other writings uh… that they appeal to the jones witnesses have the watch tower society the mormons have the writings of the mormons in the book of mormon and you have the uh… uh… christian scientists who have the key to science and scriptures by mary baker any You have the seven dead minutes to have the writings of L.

and G. White, and all cults can be defined in that way. Secondly, they usually deny heaven or hell or both, and most all the cults don’t believe in hell. The seven dead minutes don’t believe in hell. The Joe’s witnesses don’t believe in hell. The Christian scientists don’t believe in hell, and so on and so on. So that’s typical. Also they reject the Deity of Christ. Very basic doctrine is taught in the Bible. And to reject the Deity of Christ is also a mark of a cult.

You need to always ask a cult member, is Jesus Christ God? The Jehovah’s Witnesses will say no. Most all the cults will deny the Deity of Jesus Christ. And so that’s kind of like the answer. They deny the fundamental truths of Christianity. And they have other writings that they consider superior to the Bible that they appeal to over what the Bible has to say. We have Sandra in Plant City, Florida. She leaves this all fair question. She says, where does it say that Cain and Abel were twins?

Good question. And obviously you must be listening carefully today. Well, if you read Genesis 1-1, it says Adam knew Eve his wife and she can see there’s one conception and Then we find two children were born In the case of Cain when he knew his wife she had one child and of course there were others, but they were obviously Probably over a hundred years of age when the murder took place if you look over there in In Genesis, after the burner, we find that Adam knew his wife again, and she had Seth.

And Seth is the one that is the one through whom the child would come. We also find that that must have taken place 125 years after Adam and Eve had been born. But also when Cain was banished, he says, everyone that finds with me shall slay me. Now, who is he talking about? There must have been quite a crowd out there, and God put a mark on Cain so that they would not kill him. So Cain was spared death at that point for killing Abel, but we find that Cain was real worried.

So there must have been a whole bunch of people out there. He says, everyone, look at Genesis, there in chapter 4, verse 14, it says, everyone that fine with me shall slay me. And of course we know Adam and Eve had lots of children. If you look at chapter 5, it says that they live, I think, A long time. I ate 150 years or so and they began sons and daughters. And so they have lots of kids, but Cain Abel and Seth were mentioned in particular, because of the lineage of Christ and the Messiah would come through Abel, but he was murdered.

So God replaced him with Seth. And that would be the one through whom the Messiah would come. But otherwise they had lots of kids. And then their kids married and had lots of kids and you can find that the population of the world would not be there. A long time, 850 years or so, and they’d be got sons and daughters. And so they had lots of kids. But Cain, Abel, and Seth were mentioned in particular because of the lineage of Christ and the Messiah would come through Abel, but he was murdered, so God replaced him with Seth.

And that would be the one through whom the Messiah would come. But otherwise they had lots of kids and then their kids married and had lots of kids. And you can find that the population of the world was probably was probably significant at the time of the murder. So Sandra, I hope that helps. There was one conception, verse one of Genesis 4, and two births as a result of that one conception. And if you follow that, usually you’ll always find that to be the rule.

One conception, two children, that’s twins. That happened with Jacob and Esau, and they were twins. One conception, two kids, and Cain and Abel were apparently twins, not apparently identical twins, but they were twins in any case, and Cain killed Abel. And Cain was an unbeliever. The Bible says that he was of the wicked one, Satan. So Satan really inspired that murder in order to prevent himself from being destroyed by the promised seat of the woman that had been promised by God in Genesis 3.15.

Thank you, Sandra, for that question. I hope that helps. Again, the phone lines here today are 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Well, in any case, I’m glad I’m not up north today, where it’s cold. And I hope that our listeners up there in New York are nice and warm. I hope you have not too much impact from the storms that we’re reading about and loss of power, especially. We pray you stay warm and safe through this amazing storm that’s crossing our country today.

You want to call in. You’re welcome. 1-800-576-3771. And we’ll put you up on the air or you can leave an off air question with us. In our resource center, which by the way you can call and order a resource sheet to be sent to you, we’ll be glad to do that, we have lots of things that we recommend that will be of great help to you in studying the Bible. We have a number of commentaries but we have a couple of books on theology that are exceptional.

We have the Moody Handbook of theology by Paul Imms. That’s for a gift of $35. That’s an excellent resource to have in your library. We also have Basic Theology by Charles Ryrie, another wonderful asset a book to have on theology on your bookshelf. And of course we have a number of commentaries I’ve mentioned the two that we love to recommend the Jameson Faucet Brown 3-volume commentary that has a comment on every verse of Scripture and we also have the Jay Vernon McGee 5-volume commentary that has a comment on every chapter of the Bible.

So with those two, you get some wonderful coverage. Plus, I have all these teachings that I’ve done on CD and some on DVD now that will help you immensely. We have Ralph in Tampa, Florida. On the line is a Ralph. Welcome, my Bible. I’m on the air. Yes, I say, Dr. Hank, quick question for you. When it comes to being called to ministry and readily full of time or what have you, I know you have a double E degree and how did you grow about making that decision to full of time ministry and I’m going to hang up and kind of listen to your response to that.

All right. Thank you, Ralph. You know we have three things that you need to look for. You see that with the Macedonian column, the book of Acts with Paul. And basically, you see a need. And then number two, you have a God-given desire to meet that need. So let’s say you see that there are people that are lost, that need to know Christ. And then you have a God-given desire to meet that need and try to reach those people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And then thirdly, as you try to carry that out, you find that you have the ability to meet that need. If you have all three, you’re probably called. And I noticed that it was happening in my life, that I saw people lost and needing to know Christ. So I had this vision or I saw a need. At the University of Florida in my dormitory and then secondly I had a desire to meet that need so I wanted to I wanted to win these guys to Christ and As I attempted to do that I found that I had the ability to do that.

I was successful at it and then as I Moved to the next step and began to teach I found out that I was successful with that I have a had a Bible study that began with two guys and grew outside of the dorm and to a a Saturday night study to professors home where we had almost 50 college guys coming to listen to me teach the Bible on Saturday nights while I was in college. And I just after a period of time said, maybe Lord you’re trying to tell me to do this full time and so I pursued it and graduated in electrical engineering from the University of Florida and then went on to train for ministry and that’s what I’ve done all of my life.

And you know, I’m so glad I made those choices. But I think if those three things are true, you have a calling from God. There’s a need, there’s a desire from God to meet that need. And then you find as you try it, you have the ability to meet that need. God has gifted you in order to do that. And then if you have all three, you are called. I hope that helps. Now we have Annie in Lakeland, Florida, and any welcome to Bibleline you’re on there yes i was wondering what is to the screen whenever he says everyone who says lord lord will not enter into the kingdom well what he’s saying is it just because you address him as lord doesn’t mean you’re going to get in it says in verse up twenty one there in matthew seven where you’re quoting that it but only those that did the will of my father

will enter in and of course The will of the Father for you to be saved is to trust Christ. It says in John 640 that Christ says that the will of the Father is that if you recognize who Christ is and believe on Him that you would be saved. So the key is that you have to trust Christ to be saved and just because you say Lord Lord doesn’t mean you’re going to get into heaven. You have to accept the gospel message, believe that Christ died, shed his blood, was buried, He throws again from the dead and when you believe that message and trust Christ is your Savior, the Bible says the gospel is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believes that message.

So those are the ones that enter heaven. But you can say, Lord, to your blue in the face and it doesn’t mean you’re saved. You have to trust the gospel message. You have to trust the substituiture death of Christ. You shed blood at the cross. What can wash away my sin? The hymn writer wrote, Nothing but the Blood. so hopefully that helps the will of god for the believer after your saved is different than the will of god for the uh…

uh… person who’s lost and getting saved we have clinton in nymphas tenessee clinton welcome to bible and you’re on the air how you doing i’m not a quick question for you uh… what about that is that or someone killed Well, if you’re not to commit suicide, Clinton, but if you do, you would still be saved. John 637 says Christ would not cash you out for any reason. There’s no exception clause. He doesn’t say except for suicide. Better than that, verse 39, Christ said it’s the Father’s will that not one person who ever gets saved would ever be lost.

Christ said, I’ll lose none, but raise them all up again at the last day. So hopefully that answers it for you. John 637 and 39 should clear it up for you. All right, thank you, Brian. Suicide is not the unpardonable sin. Some teach that, but it’s not. We have Mark in Inglewood, Florida, and Mark, welcome to Bibleline, and you’re on the earth. Hi, Dr. Hank. I just had a quick question. When you’re raptured and you’re a believer and you’re raptured and the tribulation seven years takes place, do you get to come back?

That’s it, Beth. at that thousand years and live on the earth? that is correct that that is correct just not the people that are saved during the tribulation no those that uh… in or in from the tribulation period in their mortal bodies will actually be the subjects of that thousand year rain but we’re going to come back and help and rule and rain with christ during that time in our glorified bodies so it’s going to be uh… a mixture of uh…

the heavens uh… ruling over the earth here Christ will be visibly seen ruling from Jerusalem and we’re going to come back and as we read earlier in the program that will sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom. Good. Physically. Yeah. Okay. Well, thank you very much. That’s exciting. The excites me. I hope everybody listening is trusted Christ as their Savior and if you haven’t, why not do it right now? You could just say Lord, I’m the sinner.

I don’t understand a whole lot. But I believe Jesus died for me. Paid my sin debt and full was buried and rose again from the dead. The moment you do that, God saves you. We’re going to have to run. The program is just expired on us. But keep looking up. Jesus is coming. Join us again tomorrow, if you will. And we’ll see you then. You’ll be listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida. Your donation to Bibleline makes it possible for this ministry to continue in your area.

Be sure to tune in for another edition of Bibleline from Calvary Community Church of Tampa, Florida. Alright, I’m Dr. Englunds from, and again, it’s wonderful to be with you every day. Thank you, thank you for being a listener, and thank you, all of you, who pray for us. And we thank you for those who give and support by the line with your faithful gifts. And we want to thank you so much.

It’s definitely essential. We need your continued support and we hope that you will, if you have not as yet, become a partner with Bibleline, send a gift to Bibleline, either a one-time gift or hopefully a regular gift to Bibleline to assure that we stay on the air in your area and are able to expand this ministry out to a world that needs to know about Jesus Christ. And we believe time is running out. Jesus is coming back. There won’t be much more time and we’re going to be out of here.

And so what are you going to do in this life, in this world, is going to count for eternity, needs to be done, I think, right now. We can’t wait around because soon the Lord might come and then the Bible says that the harvest will be passed and our opportunity will have been lost. And you can’t do that. I don’t know if you know anything about farming. I was raised on a dairy farm, but I know that there’s a time when you have to act at the time of harvest and people in the Midwest, I know they just, everybody goes to work together and share in the labor of the harvest because if you don’t, the harvest will spoil and rot and certainly you can’t let that happen.

When the fruit on the tree is ready to be picked, it has to be picked in and this is the time of course as Christians that we need to be getting that fruit that’s out there. The laws need to be won to Christ and we can do it through Bible and we have led many, many to Christ through this program. How wonderful it is to hear those reports coming in. Anyway, pray for us. Call us and you can give the gift by credit card or order from our resource center that will help Bible and as well.

Have a great day. Join us again tomorrow if you would. The Lord willing will be back and keep looking up. Jesus is coming. Head we believe very soon.
