Welcome to Bibleline we are on the air right now in Pennsylvania and that whole area and we hope that you will begin to enjoy Bible and we come to you out of Tampa, Florida from Calvary Community Church where I pastor.

By the way we have a number of people that would like to be water baptized, don’t have a church that they can feel comfortable with to go and give testimony to their faith in Christ. We are going to do this at a lake on the 21st of October in the afternoon of Sunday. You can come and join our morning worship at 1030. Stay for a wonderful lunch. We’ll have that day. And at 3am afternoon we’ll be baptizing folks. You’re welcome to be a part of that if you are experiencing that problem.

A lot of people tell me they just don’t have a clue. Don’t have a church at all. And you’re welcome if you’d like to have us baptize you as many listeners have gotten saved through this program. So we invite you to get baptized on the 21st of October. That’ll be three in the afternoon. If you wait and go with me to Israel this coming April, we’ll do it in the Jordan River. It’ll be trip number 15 for me. If you want to get on our prospectTPPS that you might be wanting to go, this coming year 2008 in April, probably April 1st will be on departure date.

If you’re interested, give us a call and get on our list and we’ll be glad to include you in that group. It’ll be trip number 15. We will be studying the Bible all day long in every site. Last year or this past year in March when we went, we had a wonderful trip. We did our radio programs live from the hotel. We had a super time. We did a lot of filming also for our TV and we invite you to go this coming year.

That would be a lot of fun. A lot of resources. We did finish the gospel of John that’s available now almost 20 hours of teaching and you can get that on CD or DVD. And of course you can subscribe to our Sunday Messages here on CB for $30 a month. We’ll send them out automatically every month right to your home. And you can listen to the Sunday Sermons as you drive in your car or in your home or however you like to use those.

And I think you’ll find it very helpful. And you can of course pause and go backward and go forward and sit and take notes and use and even to facilitate a Bible study. I think you’ll find it nice and helpful as basically we do teach the word of God on Sundays. We’re going to get right into the Bible. If you have a Bible there, get it out. And somebody just gave me a track and it says on the outside cover, except you repent.

And that’s the title. And it says, what is repentance on the outside? is an essential desalvation and on the inside guess what it says. Repentance is a turning away from all sin. Well my goodness this is so wrong and this is so amazing to me that we have so many tracks and so many presentations of repentance that do not get it right. The primary word that’s translated repent in the New Testament is metanoia. Meta, a Greek word that means change, noia, noia, a word that means your mind.

The two words together metanoia mean a change of mind and the noun form is metanoia and the verb form is metanoia. And so, Methoneo or Methoneoia are the two prime words and they occur 58 times in the New Testament record. And it’s always a change of mind about how to be saved, about who Jesus Christ is or whatever it is that is involved in your becoming saved. It says in Hebrews chapter 6, that the foundation of our salvation is repentance from dead works.

I never hear any preachers preaching on that. Repentance from dead works. Have you heard of preacher yet? Say repent from dead works, repent from dead works. I’ve never heard of it. Never heard that. But you know really that is how you become saved. You change your mind and realize that works cannot save you, that works cannot produce life. They only can produce death. Jesus said in John 1125, I, Christ, said, in the resurrection and the life. In 1 John 5, 12, it says, He that has the Son has life, and He that has not the Son of God has not life.

In other words, eternal life is in Christ. Christ is the source of life, and it says there, if you have Christ, you have life, if you don’t have Christ, you do not have life. I said I am the way the truth and the life. No man can come unto the Father but by me, John 14, 6. The Bible is so clear. Nowhere does the Bible ever say, turn from sin to be saved? It just doesn’t, say that. Turn from sin to be saved.

It’s nowhere in your Bible. The phrase repent of sin does not even occur in your Bible once. That’s right. The phrase is quote unquote repent of sin does not occur in your Bible not even once. Isn’t that amazing? I thought as a young person that it had to be on every page. I heard it so often as preachers would say repent of your sin. I thought that was everywhere in the Bible. I found out it was nowhere in the Bible.

Are you listening to things that preachers say and just take it in without checking it out? I always think of a lot of people in churches as they sit there, and they kind of go along with a two-dlyke this. What he feeds me, I will swallow. What he feeds me, I will swallow.” I didn’t mean to break you in the song, I’m sorry. But you know, I was so misled as a child in the church I was raised in when I finally got saved.

What a burden was lifted. What a joy was to find out that salvation was a gift. It was received and were saved just as we are. The hymn writer wrote it correctly, just as I am I come without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me. The Greek word metanoi means a change of mind. If you were to repent of sin, what would that mean? I don’t know about you, but I was always raised, but sin was wrong.

If I changed my mind about sin, would I all of a sudden say, wow, sin is wonderful. What have I missed out on? Of course not. That’s just, it’s so crazy because people don’t go back and define the words. You know the Greek word metanoia was poorly translated into the English word repent. It should have never happened. The translators should have taken the Greek word and just brought it into the English language. You know they did that with baptism.

The Greek word baptism, there was no good equivalent English word. And so they did what we call a transliteration. They took the O, Baptizone. …drop that put an e in its place, and they made a new word. The word baptize is a created word from the Greek word baptizo. They made it an English word, dropping the O and putting it in its place. And the word baptize has been now a brand new English word coming from the Greek. That was a smart thing to do because now we know, of course, what the word baptize means from the Greek language.

You went to New Testament was written. They should have done that with metanoia. Can you imagine? Preachers screaming out at their congregation, metanoia, metanoia, metanoia. Well, you say, well, I never heard of that before, but at least you’d look it up and get the right meaning because the Greek word means metachange, noia, mind. I know you know a Greek word that gives you a little bit of a clue that I’m not off my rocker here. Have you ever heard of metamorphosis?

This is the change of form that a caterpillar goes through to become a beautiful butterfly. Metaphine’s change and morphosis speaks of the form of the insect. The butterfly goes through a marvelous change. The Greek word is metamorphosis, a change in form or structure. That little caterpillar becomes a beautiful butterfly. The word meta and connected with noia, which means mind, is a change of mind. When you change your mind about how to be saved or about who Christ is, you become saved.

All my life, I was raised to believe that salvation was by works. I had this vision in my mind of a big scale in heaven that I would die. I would get in this big long line. They would finally get to me and call my name out. And they’d bring out these great big books, and they’d begin to point their finger at me and read off all the things that I had done good and bad. I would sit there trembling.

I’d be watching the scales. Angels helped. And they would put works or other weights on the left side to represent the good works I had done, but weights on the right side of the scale represent the bad things I had done. I watched the scale go back and forth as I read off things that I had done. I’d hoped that the scale would tip in my favor. You know, all the world religions teach that, even Islam teaches that. If you read the Quran, it talks about the light side.

The one that is going up is the one that will light in heaven if your works are good. If you have enough good works, you’ll get to get into heaven according to Islam. All the world religions teach that and all the counter fits the Christianity teach that guess what? There is no scale in the Bible. The Bible says salvation is down of work. So let me quote to Ephesians 2, 8 and 9. Ephesians 2, 8 and 9 says 4 by grace, grace meaning mercy, unmerited favor.

Are you saved through faith? That is faith in Jesus Christ. The next phrase says this salvation is down of yourself and then it says in the next phrase it is the gift of God. And then in verse 9 it says, not of works, lest any man should boast or brag. I saw that at 18. And I remember saying in my mind, somebody’s wrong, somebody’s wrong, somebody’s wrong. I’d been taught works all my life in the church I was raised and I was confirmed, baptized, homogenized, casturized, capsized, sinenized.

If my church could do it to you, they did it to me. When I realized when I saw that salvation was a gift, when I saw that it was none of myself, when I saw that it was not of works according to Ephesians 2-9, I said, either my church is right, then the Bible is wrong, or the Bible is right, and my church is wrong. I had to make a choice, and I think you know which way I went.

I went with the Bible. You have to choose the Bible over your church. You have to choose the Bible as a supreme authority. The Bible makes it very clear and never contradicts itself. And salvation is not by works. Our best works and righteous deeds are filthy rags. Isaiah 64 tells us that no one is righteous, no not one. No one is good according to the Bible. No not one. Romans 3, 10, Romans 3, 12. Romans 3, 23 says, for all have sinned and all have come short of the glory of God.

We’re all in trouble. We need a Savior. That’s why Christ came when you change your mind. For whatever you were previously trusting in, the trusting in Christ alone is the only means of your salvation God saves you. Biblical repentance is included in saving faith when you trust Christ. You change your mind from whatever you were previously trusting in to trusting in Christ. It’s just a part of the package. You cannot possibly trust Christ without having changed your mind. Whether you realized it or not, you’ve now transferred your trust to whatever you were previously trusting in.

The trusting in Jesus Christ as the one who died and paid your sin debt by his death and shed blood was buried and rose again from the dead. I’m saying all this because I’m pleading for souls. I know that so many people have come to me over the years. years and say, preacher, I don’t know if I’ve repented enough. How much do you have to repent for, from, or whatever? And they’re all confused because they have a wrong definition of repentance.

And I’ve had people just in this past week tell me that they couldn’t repent, or in their wrong definition from the church they’re raised in, couldn’t maybe stop smoking and say to me that they were going to go to hell because they couldn’t stop smoking. That’s not what repentance says. The Greek word is change your mind and you come just as you are and then God gives you the power after you become saved through the Holy Spirit that have victory over sin and even over smoking.

But salvation is a gift. Well we’re going to go to the phone lines of Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. from our studios right here next to the Tampa International Airport. If you ever fly into Tampa, we’re just seconds away because we’re just right there, one block west of the Tampa International Airport, if you can get a visual. Well, we’re going to go to several of our callers now. If you want to call in, you can call at 1-800-576-3771.

We’re going to go to George and he’s in Palm Harbor, Florida. George, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. Yeah, I called you last week. I just need a little more clarification. When the angels said they didn’t go to heaven, they didn’t make it heaven the third when he left the Lucifer. Did they get to the, how far did they get? Well you know the Bible doesn’t tell us, but the Bible says in Jude chapter 1 verse 6 that these fallen angels are the ones that left their first piece of real estate, which was the planet earth.

I believe they were on the original earth under Satan’s authorities. He was the god of this world and still has that title according to 2 Corinthians 4, 4. And it says here that they were then judged by God and cast back down to the earth. And we don’t know how far they got. Maybe they got most of the way. But obviously, certainly God knew the plan and saw the invasion coming. In Isaiah 14 verses 13 and 14, God even knew before Satan did anything.

He knew what Satan was thinking in his mind, gives us there the five eye wills. Satan said, I’m going to ascend into heaven. And he obviously had that plan. And then when he tried to carry it out, he and his angels were judged and they’re obviously going to be eventually cast into hell forever and ever and ever. Okay, what happened to the two? Well they remain God’s angels, righteous angels. And now the option is no longer there for them to make a choice anymore.

So they’re forever the, what is called in the Bible, the just angels or the righteous angels and those are God’s angels. And the other third that fell was Satan are the unjust or the fallen angels, the ones that will eventually join Satan in hell forever. Okay, so would the two-thirds now be in heaven? Well, I think a lot of them are right here. They’re doing jobs. to go up and down, constantly, they’re traveling back and forth. As the Bible said that even Jacob had a dream and he saw the angels of God ascending and descending.

And in John chapter 1 you saw how Christ talked about the angels ascending and descending between heaven and earth all the time. And obviously there are angels that watch over you and me. Hebrews 113 talks about guardian angels. And so we have angels watching over us and so they’re here and they’re there but then the Satan’s Angels don’t have access to heaven. So do you think the third are the ones that torment people and would be the evil spirits that that’s on?

Well absolutely and I don’t think that’s easy. I think it has to be by an act of a will or through drugs where you don’t you lose your will that they’re invited in they just don’t come in but they do they do involve people and they they involve people that allow that to happen, especially if you go into satanic practices where you’re willing to sell your soul to the devil, you’re going to get some demons in you, I’m sure.

Okay, so the two-thirds you figured travel back and forth and the one-third is up right here. You’ve got it. Okay, thank you. All right, you’re welcome, George, George, and Paul, and we now are going to Debbie and St. Pete. Debbie, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Thank you. Hello, Pastor. Pastor, I’d like you to explain further to me, Luke 16, verse 18. Okay. And. Whoa. Oh, we’ll have a little more time. Okay. Okay. Okay. And that is the next question.

You can see it. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. We’re just going to get started. I’m sorry. Okay, we’re just going to get started. We got the first question. Okay. I think I’m going to get started. Okay. Well, that’s the last question. We’re going to be focusing on it. Okay. All right. I’m heading there right now, Luke 16 in verse 18. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I’m almost there. And here we go. Verse 18 says, his, whoever, put it away, his wife, and Maryeth another committed adultery.

And his, whoever, Maryeth, her, that is put away from her husband committed adultery. But the exception, if you read Matthew 19, is if one of the persons were committing adultery, then they are free to remarry. And you see that in Deuteronomy, if you look at chapter 23 or 24, the first verses talk about how Moses gave that writing a divorcement. And if there was found uncleanness in the marriage partner, there could be a divorce, And then the person was free to remarry.

So read Deuteronomy, I think it’s chapter 24, 23. I know it’s one of those two chapters. I’m flipping back to the re- Deuteronomy. Yeah, the fifth book of your Bible, this is where it’s 23, 24. Yeah, let me see. I’m turning there to make sure that I give you the right passage. It’s chapter 24, verses 1 through 4, talks about the Moses’ law of divorce. And Christ made reference to that in Matthew chapter 19, and so you can compare those two passages.

And the uncleaness there by the way, and also the word fornication comes from the Greek word pordnia from which we get our word pornography from. And it means any type of sexual uncleaness it could be incest, it could be pedophilia, homosexuality, lesbianism, not just adultery. It could be… We’re not condemning divorce. No. No. divorce was allowed but not just for anything in fact if you burnt the toast your husband does not have a right to divorce you. I’m cheesy.

Thank you very much. Thank you so much for calling in Debbie. We have a call from St. Petersburg, Ida, leaves this offer question. I want to get this one in because they’ve been asking how soon can we get to it. It says If Satan is so bad, why was he allowed to be in heaven? Well, the answer is I don’t believe he ever lived in the habit at all. I believe he lived on the earth. In Genesis 1-1 when God originally created the earth, according to Isaiah 45-18, he created it perfect and inhabited.

And along with those that were on here, like the plants, animals, dinosaurs and so on, all angels of God lived here on the earth and Satan ruled over them. But then a rebellion took place where Satan led and a third of the angels on a rebellion toward heaven did overthrow it. He was cast back down with those angels and the earth was judged and all life was killed. And we find the earth judged in verse 2 of Genesis where it says the earth was without form and void.

And darkness was upon the face of the deep. If you read Isaiah 45, 18 it says the earth wasn’t created that way. is he created it not vain. The word vain in the Hebrew is the same word void translated void in Genesis 1-2. He didn’t create it that way. It became that way. That was the result of a judgment. And it wasn’t until 6,000 years ago that God decided to put man on the planet and he made the work of the planet inhabitable for life again.

So that’s where we believe we are right now. Thank you, Ida. And we hope that answered your question. We’re now going toalbum to National Tennessee and we have Jimmy on the air. Jimmy, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey Dr. Hank, how you doing? Good. Dr. Hank, I was wanting to ask you, I was wanting to ask you, have you ever heard of Bob George, the people of people ministry? And if you did, what do you think about him?

What’s your opinion about him? I don’t get to listen to him because he’s not on our area, but I have heard about him, I think, from what people are telling me to like, what he has to say. I don’t really know what to tell you. I’ll have to get on the internet and find him someplace and listen to it and evaluate it. But I don’t know what to tell you. Okay. Well, one question I was wanting to ask you is when I hear him on the radio, a lot of people ask him about the first John 1-9 and I think it’s if we confess our sense he is faithful and just to forgive us our sense.

The way he explains it, and I was one year intake on it, and the way he explains it is like before we become believers and we trust Christ as our Savior, they only send that unbelievers commit as the sin of unbelief. And he said once we accept Christ as our Savior, and when we send daily that we shouldn’t ask God to forgive us. to forgive our sins, we should thank him for what he’s already done because we ask him to forgive our sins.

It’s like while we ask him to do something that he’s already done, what is your Well, you’re intake on first John one nine. I’ll agree with that 100%. That’s exactly correct. Thank you, Jimmy. We now have Arthur in Bel- Belgrade Florida Arthur welcome the Bible in your on the air Yeah, I would like to ask you one question, but can you give me the reason why? Jonah didn’t want to go to minimum Sure, he didn’t like the minivites. They were didn’t treat Jews very well They they hated Jews and they oftentimes take you down and put sir Paul over you and let ants eat you alive and many other tortures things.

So I know it didn’t particularly want to have that happen to him. And so he ran. He wanted to go as far away from God as he could. So no, the Ninevites weren’t friendly toward Jews, and he didn’t want to go there. And when God spared him, he wasn’t happy about that either. He wanted to really see vengeance taken against the Ninevites. Thank you, Arthur, for calling in. And we are coming up on our break time. We’re going to take a break and come back and do a second-half hour.

If you haven’t helped Bibleline with your pray for us, and could you maybe send a gift to help us stay on the air? We’re listeners supported and you can do that by credit card over the phone. You can order our resources. You can ask for an envelope to be sent. Resource list and all those kind of things. And mail a gift into Bibleline if you like. God bless you. Thank you for tuning in and we’re going to take a break.

We’ll come back and do a second half hour. So don’t go away. We’ll be right back after this short break. Go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. us a call at 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Inglinton. It’s great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We appreciate you and all of our listeners. It’s a miracle that Bible Anne is on the air. You know, I just marveled. Thank God we are. We started off with a 15-minute program.

We never thought that we’d ever be able to do that. It moved to half hour and then finally an hour and then outside of Tampa. And now on many stations around the nation. I want to welcome all those new folks up in Scranton, Pennsylvania that are listening today. We hope that you pass the word along to your friends and help us grow our audience in that area. Please take advantage of the internet because our programs are there for you for the past year.

A lot of folks download them for their iPod and carry the programs around while they bike or jog or work or whatever they do drive and listen to my blind as a regular thing on their menu to learn God’s Word. We can sure use your financial help if you can help us. We are coming out of September a little bit negative. We could use your help. If you want to help us, you could send a gift by mail. You could also give a gift by credit card over the phone.

You can actually do it on our online bookstore. You can go there to buyblindministries.org. Click on the online bookstore. There’s a place there where you can give gifts in increments of $1. You just multiply that times whatever size gift you’d like to give. You can do that right there on the internet. It’s a secure site, and so you can do that comfortably. If you call and ask for an envelope to be sent, we’ll send you one with our address on it, you can mail a gift to Bibleline.

The nice thing about Bibleline is that you’re going to get the most for your investment in eternity because first of all, we’re preaching God’s word, not opinion. It’s not always popular. A lot of people don’t want to hear things that are contrary to their church traditions, but we’re going to give you what the Bible has to say. For two, we don’t pay any salary, so all of money really goes back into getting out on the air. And we stretched ourself as far as we could go.

And without your help, obviously we may have to cut back in some areas, so we don’t want that to happen. So to assure that your program is still coming to you in your area, please consider giving a gift to ByBlind. Give us a call. And you can do it right over the phone. That would be super. That would be great. You can do it also by on the internet side. You can call National Open Mail and mail it in.

We’re going to be joining the stations that are breaking to the second half hour, my blind. So I hope you stay tuned right now. We’re going to go to the switch right now, so keep your radio tuned right where it is, and we’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline. I hope you’re excited. We look forward to every week being with you and this is Monday. We got all week to go and we got lots of questions off here and we got you, the lists are calling in today and we’ll try to get this many of you up on the air as well. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We really just thrill at people getting saved. got a sweet letter from a guy that said, you got me saved on your radio program.

What a thrill. We know we’re reaching into jails all across the country, a male from many in jail that are listening to the Bible and program. Some of them have started Bible studies. Some of them gather around other prisoners and they listen to Bibleline every day. Isn’t that great? But not only in the jails. We’re in so many places where the Lord has just allowed this radio program to enter into cars, into homes, and offices, and pray for us.

We’re excited about how through the Internet we’re heard all around the world, 150 countries have logged in to the Bible and program, and we’re excited about that. You can tell your friends and your relatives and your missionaries and loved ones in other countries about Bible and they can be listening from anywhere in the world if they have internet access isn’t that amazing and you can watch our Sunday services live and you can also catch them during the week we have a lot of folks all over the world that watch Bibleline and our worship services you can catch them in archives throughout the week at your pleasure you can also catch them live on Sunday morning between 11 and 12 and all you have to do is go to Bibleline ministries or .com either way Bibleline ministries.org or .com either way you can get to us and hopefully

you will and so much there on the website to look at. You can look at our resource center. We have so many wonderful things here and we have the Schofield Bible which I think is such a marvelous investment. We have it in the least expensive for $20 a gift to buy blind. But the notes are the same as if you bought the large leather, genuine leather, nice, you know, the best one. Same material. But the notes are incredible. You know, when you have a Bible question, a lot of the doctrinal questions are answered in the skill field.

They’re not answered in any of the reference Bible that I know of. The question is often asked about did God create evil? Well some people say in Isaiah it talks about God creating evil. Well let me read the verse and I’ll just show you an example of how the Scofield Bible is so wonderful because it answers it for you. It says here in verse 7 of Isaiah 45 God says, I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil.

I the Lord do all these things. So some people say, well, then God is responsible for evil in this universe. He created evil. But if you read the Scofield note at the bottom of the page, it says the Hebrew word translated evil there is really the word that is also translated sorrow, wretchedness, adversity, afflictions, calamities, but never translated sin. God created evil only in the sense that he made sorrow, wretchedness, adversity, etc. to be the sure fruits of sin.

Great, and you know, skill field just nails it. So God didn’t create evil. He created consequences for evil. And actually Satan is the author of sin. He’s the one that brought it into the universe. Prior to Satan, there was no sin. Well, I’m Dr. Engvens from the Bible Ed and we sure could use your prayers and your financial help. We have no other way of paying the bills and keeping this program going and if you’re enjoying Bible Ed, maybe you’d like to participate in help.

You can do it by credit card over the phone or by mailing a gift in or by giving on our on my bookstore on our website Bible We have a caller right now. He’s on a truck on the road someplace and his name is John and John welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. I have a caller right now. Alright, can you turn your radio down John? Are you on the air? Yes, Dr. Hank. Yes, sir. I’m wondering about what the Bible says about interracial marriages.

Well, it doesn’t say anything about interracial marriages. It does say that believers are not to marry unbelievers. So if you’re a believer, you’re not to marry an unbeliever. That’s a real, real big one. And usually the problems really come quickly if you marry somebody that doesn’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the struggles I hear every day from people in marriages where the wife or the husband is not a believer. But also I just say that when you have an interracial marriage you also have a lot of differences that have to be overcome.

You know in a marriage you need to have as many things in agreement with one another as you possibly can. It says in Amos chapter 3 and verse 2, how can two walk together except they be an agreement? When you come from different cultural backgrounds as in an interracial marriage, many times as happens, just your food changes. Not everybody, you’ll find your wife will want to eat a different type and have different food preferences and you will. And dress and everything else and so many cultural changes and things, it makes it more difficult.

So you can’t, there’s no way in the Bible says you can’t marry another race, but just realize that you need to probably really think it through and ask yourself and maybe spend a good time dating before you get married to see if you can be in agreement on the major things in your marriage but primarily you need to find another believer. Is that helping you? Well, as I say, I’ve been dealing with this and dealing with this and me growing up with my father has always said that you don’t make trace.

And now that I’m older and the way the world is, my daughter is dealing with this issue and I’m having a lot of problems with it. Sure. Well, you might want to try to get some type of counseling so at least you’ll know what she’s getting involved in because when you again it creates a lot of problems. First of all, you have the families on both sides may not accept it and that creates a burden in the self. If you don’t have the family support on both sides of the parents on each side, don’t want this to take place.

That creates problems. When the child is born, the child also takes the heat of being an interracial child. So all those things have to be taken into consideration. And of course the major thing though of course is the person be a believer. That’s that’s prime at the top in the Bible for for bids the believer for marrying an unbeliever. But I would if you can find I don’t know where you are calling in from but maybe you can call us back and we can help you get a good Christian counselor who might be able to not only help you but also to help your daughter see the problems related to that kind of marriage that They usually fail at a great rate.

If you look at interracial marriages, they fail at a greater rate than those that are not. So it just brings a lot of extra problems to the table and things that need to be overcome. They can be, but it makes it more difficult. John, I’m praying for you. Thank you, sir. All right. John calling in and concerned for his daughter. We now have Jerry in Largo, Florida. And Jerry, welcome to Bible Hunt. Hey, Dr. Hank. How you doing? Good.

Keeping with the subject of Satan, sending into heaven and how no sin can enter heaven. I would wonder if you could speak a little bit about Job 1, 6, and 7. I find that all the commentaries are claiming that that scene is in heaven, including the Scofield Bible. I know it. In the Scofield and all those are wrong. The scene is on the earth. Job’s children are coming together to worship the Lord. And it’s on the earth. You know, throughout the Bible, there was an appointed place to come to worship the Lord.

Even Abel brought his sacrifice to the Lord. That was on the earth. Abel didn’t go to heaven to bring that sacrifice. Cain also brought his sacrifice to the prescribed place to bring a sacrifice, but he brought the wrong sacrifice. That was the problem with Cain. But throughout time, that’s the way it’s been. In fact, when the temple was built in Jerusalem, that was the place where God would meet with if man God’s presence would be made seen in the temple.

In the book, when God guided Israel out of Egypt, he led them in the daytime with a cloud. And in the night time with a pillar fire. And so they actually had the presence of God visibly seen to follow and to guide them through the wilderness experience. Today, of course, God indwells our bodies. Our bodies become this temple so we can worship the Lord wherever we are on the planet Earth. We don’t have to go to a specific place.

But what was happening there? It was on the earth and you’ll notice when Satan comes along and God addresses Satan, he says to Satan where did you come from? He said from roaming to and fro up and down on the earth. So Satan was on the earth too. And obviously then God brings up to Satan. Have you noticed my servant Joe but there’s no one like him and so on they get a discussion going. And of course Satan says that because God was blessing and protecting Joe no wonder he was so great.

He said, let me have at him and you’ll watch him curse you to your face. And of course that never happened. Job was a remarkable Christian. But that scene was on the earth. The sons of God are believers. Hebrews 1-5, God never called an angel his son. So because, and the reason why they say it’s in heaven is because they make the wrong conclusion that the phrase son of God refers to angels, Hebrews 1-5 says to which of the angels did God say it anytime though or my son the answer is he never did.

So that answers it right there. It has to be on the earth and it’s not the believers, Job’s children that came together to worship. Surely thereafter we find that Satan kills them all, brings a strong win and the house that they were in falls down and kills them all. And so tragedy comes into Job’s life but he never curse God. Right. Now I’m not disagreeing with you but I know people are going to ask why would God have to ask Satan where he came from if he was there on earth already.

I think it’s for our benefit, you know, the listener. In Matthew 11, 25, Christ prays out loud and he says why he does it. He says for the benefit of those that were listening so they could know what was going on. You know, if he was just having a conversation without that introduction for our benefit, we wouldn’t know what was taking place. What would you say the scene is right there in Job? Can you describe what the scene might be on that where they come to present themselves before the Lord would appear?

I think it would be a compliment. Well, this is a early the first written book of the Bible is before the law and whether they brought sacrifice or not I don’t know but they certainly came together to worship the Lord and And Satan observes, you know, even us in Corinthians it tells us that angels are spectating, watching what we do. And we have Satan’s angels as well. I think Satan’s angels are obviously reporting all the time to Satan as to what things are going on.

And I personally believe that when Jesus was born and in that stable there in Bethlehem, which we don’t ever see on our Christmas cards, that there were demonic angels all around that stable and Satan himself was their present too, wanting to kill that baby. According to Revelation chapter 12, the devil was couched, ready to kill that baby as soon as it was born because this is the child, the Messiah, that would defeat him ultimately and he knew that. And so he wanted to get rid of Christ even as he came into the world.

So I think there’s a lot of things that we can’t see with our eyes in the spiritual realm that if we saw we’d scare the living daylights out of us. that’s going on behind the scenes and that was a behind the scenes kind of a thing where Job’s children were totally unaware of that but Satan was observing them and God was saying did you notice Job and of course he did notice Job. Satan was fully aware of him. What’s the position of all these people that seem to have it wrong?

They all say the scene is in heaven. The reason why I seem to read it is the same thing. I’m just wondering what their position is and why they’re so… The reason why they do that is because they wrongly assume the sons of God are angels. Now that is, of course, incorrect. They do that in Genesis 6 where they said the angels came down and married the daughters of men and that they had giants born to them and so on and so on.

That is not true. The sons of God were the believers and they were marrying unbelievers. As we talked about with the previous fellow about marrying an unbeliever, we’re not to do that. What happened was that the gospel got lost because these families no longer taught their children about the Lord and it turned out that only one family remained as this thing began to degenerate that only Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord and he and his wife and his three sons and their wives were the only believers on the earth.

God destroyed everybody else. During the 120 years that Noah built the ark. He gave them opportunity to get saved, but no appreciative, but nobody got saved during that whole 120 years. I told you how corrupt it became and And God destroyed it, but then and the answer to that is Hebrews one five as I said a moment ago God never called an angel his son Into the whole story. This was it. These are believers. They’re not in heaven. They’re on the earth and those believers were later killed I think when Satan came after them and blew blew the house in and they were all killed I’m glad to clear that there’s a lot of people that are real confused.

And just one quick thing, I don’t know, you can comment this one way, hang up. But St. Pete’s Times say they were talking about Walmart, how they’re now having Jesus doll, you push the button and he says, I am the Son of God and then they have all, you know, all the other characters, Moses and Samson and so forth. What do you think about that and how let you go? All right. I think it’s wonderful. I hadn’t read that article.

Why would people get so upset about something like that? Our country has changed. If you had introduced them all like that 40 years ago, everybody would gone wild over how good that would be. But now boy, our country has gone so secular. So departed from God that people don’t want to hear about God or about Jesus. And I think it’s a wonderful thing. But I think these things are going as people complain and try to stop these things. I think pretty soon we’re going to have a pretty godless society.

And that’s what the Bible says once a rapture happens. God says, you’re going to get what you want. I’m going to take all the Christians out of here. Can you imagine what it’s going to be like when all the believers are gone? What a bad world it will be. Well the Bible describes that. It says the best of them that are left after the rapture are as a briar and a thorn bush. They’re not written because they’re not going to be nice here on the earth and it’s going to be the worst time in history and I’m glad I’m leaving at the Rapture.

How did that relate though with not making images from heaven? Well I don’t think it’s the thing of worship. I think when you make an image, obviously we couldn’t take photographs, we couldn’t do artwork or anything else. I don’t think that’s what’s in mind. It’s when you have an image that you bow to or you pray to or whatever. So you can have a picture of your wife or your children and put it on the wall in your home and that’s not an object of worship, I wouldn’t think.

So it’s not the same thing. But when you have an icon or an idol that you fall down a worship to, you know, that golden calf that Aaron was made that was required to make there in the wilderness, they felt out of worship that thing and that was what made it an idol. Thank you for going. Thank you very much. Okay, you’re sure. Welcome. We now are going to go to Joe in Lambda Lakes and Joe, welcome to Bibleline your own year.

Yes, Dr. Lynch, my question is, Sin did it come into the world for you or did it originate with Satan and angels? It originated with Satan and the angels and then when Satan, who was fallen at the time in the garden caused Adam and Eve to sin, then sin passed into the human race and to all of Adam’s descendants, all of us are related to Adam, so we have that sin nature. But sin existed before Adam in Satan. God, do you say anything?

Yeah, I believe that life on this planet has been destroyed. I think science bears that NASA says that all the dinosaurs were destroyed about 65 million years ago when an asteroid about 150 miles an diameter struck in the area that you can see that round area in your map there of the Gulf. And they say so much debris was cast up into the atmosphere that the sun’s light was shut off for millions of years. Scientists tell us about our sun’s light were cut off for 72 hours.

The planet would be quick frozen. That would explain the ice ages and why they found mammoths up in the polar regions that were eating tropical vegetation and it was still undigested in their stomach. So this must have happened rather quickly. They had probably had a good meal before that asteroid struck and now they’re killed by this quick freeze at the place and they’re frozen and their meat is still fresh to this day. Interesting. that says there in verse 2 of Genesis the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters that word moved in the Hebrew means to incubate or to brood upon.

And so apparently the Holy Spirit fought the earth out, warmed it up and in seven days kind of the earth made the earth inhabitable again. This time he puts man on the planet. The second was only the… What death came into the world through Adam? Huh? I thought death came into the world through Adam. Death upon man. If you read your… You’re talking down about Romans 5 and 12. And it says death passed upon man because of Adam. There was death before Adam, but not…

Not upon humans because there were no humans around until Adam. Oh, I… Read that read. You have to read that… You have to read that verse very carefully. You’re quoting Romans 5 and 12. Now I’m very familiar with that argument. There was no death upon humans until Adam came along because Adam was the first human to sin and death passed upon Adam and upon all those that were descended from him. But death was around prior to Adam for sure.

And we believe that all the dinosaurs and all life on the planet was extinguished. And when God made the earth inhabitable again, you’ll notice he didn’t have to create plant life. What happened on day three, the life of plants was already here in seeds and all you had to have is dry land, sunlight, and the seeds germinated and brought forth life. I have an uncle who passed away. He worked for the Department of the Interior. He found seeds in the tombs in Egypt that were over 4,000 years old and he was written on the National Geographic for his work as he caused those seeds to bring forth life after thousands of years and we believe that’s what happened only with the animals that breathe there that God have to recreate on the fifth day and then he created man separately from all animals on the sixth day and that happened probably just six thousand years ago but

I believe the earth is very very old. Now why wouldn’t God have said within his word and he won’t I don’t understand that why would he be left? He has you have to read 2 Peter chapter 3 Peter there talks about the former earth that perished. The present earth began with Adam and will end at the end of the Millennial Kingdom and then he talks about a future earth of new heavens and a new earth and he has all three.

The past earth, the present earth and the future earth all describe in 2nd Peter chapter 3. Read it for yourself. And give me those versions again. 2nd Peter the third chapter. He has all three says the former earth which was destroyed and all life perished and then you have the present Earth from Adam until after the 1000 year end of Christ where the judgment will be by fire upon the Earth and then you have in verse 13 of 2 Peter chapter 3 a new heavens and a new earth.

So you have the pastor at the present earth and the future earth all right there in one chapter and there are many other passages as well you need to get a skill field Bible I think it will help and it will bring out a lot of these passages. Well you know I am not convinced of the gap theory but I am going to read that I am going to look into it and then I would enjoy the conversation with you.

Let’s do it. Thank you, Joe. Joe in Land of Lakes and obviously hearing a different perspective. We’re going now to Dave in Plant City, Florida. Dave, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. How are you? Thank you for taking my call. You’re welcome. I’ve never heard you speak about the rebuild and the David’s tent acts 15 verses 16 and 17 and Amos 9 11 and 12 because you comment on that I heard an interesting sermon about that and they were saying that the Gentiles couldn’t come through Solomon’s temple because of the veil and the whole these of holies and I’m about to hear your view on that if you could look up those verses acts 15 16 17 Amos 9 11 and 12 and comment on please.

Well. Well, nobody could go into the holy of holies except for the high priest once a year and then only with blood. He could not go without blood. And obviously that was a picture of Christ being our high priest. But it wasn’t just Jews. I mean Gentiles, it was Jews as well. Nobody could. And of course, because Christ was crucified, the veil was rent in Matthew 27 from the top to the bottom as God rented the veil in the temple.

And now we can have direct access to heaven because of Christ who died and satisfied the law and as our high priest took his own blood into the temple in heaven according to Hebrews 912. And now we have as believers direct entrance right in the very presence of God. We have Gary down in Brandon Florida. Gary welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hi Dr. Lusstom my name is Gary. How are you sir? Gary? I’m wrestling with my study of the apostle Paul and my question today is that Paul teaches that to be truly a member of the body of Christ, that when I get to first the company of sinners, you know that Jesus ate and drank with sinners.

Can you help me here? Sure, two different boogans here. Christ was trying to win the lost and he would associate with them to win them to Christ to himself. But in Corinth, you have people that are believers now who are living in sin and apparently not aware of the fact that there are consequences for that. And the Bible is saying that we have to purge out the 11, the 11 in the Bible is picture of sin or evil and that leaven needed to be purged out.

And so that’s what’s going on there. It’s a different ballgame. If you’re trying to reach the lost, obviously we’ve got to engage them and bring them to Christ as Christ did. But we don’t as a believer fellowship with the lost. That’s not the ones we have things in intimacy with because we should be living a lifestyle this in line with God’s word. Where the believers who do that should be shunned. Thank you so much. We’re out of time today.

I wish we had time to catch all of our calls. We’ve got a bunch more and we’ve got tons of questions here sitting on a way to be answered. We’ll try to get to some of those tomorrow. This is Monday.
