But in any case, we had visitors from all over that are Bible-lined listeners. We’re excited about how God is using it that way. We’re going to go now to the Bible and then we’ll take our callers, if you want to call in, the number is 1-800-576-6. 1-800-576-3771. I’m going to turn to the book of Ephesians. If you have your Bible, you can turn there with me. Ephesians chapter 1. Here it says in Ephesians 1, according as yet chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.

Well then… Well that’s an interesting verse but often misunderstood as it is one of the key verses that those who believe in Calvinism will use as a proof text to say that God makes the choice for you and that you don’t make the choice. And they read the verse and let me read it again. It says here according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world. And so they teach that we’ve been chosen to be saved before the foundation of the world.

Well, it’s true, but what they miss is in verse 4, and if you have your pen, mark this, would you? It says according as he hath chosen us in him, in him, in him. That phrase, in him, or the equivalent in Christ, or in Christ Jesus, occurs again and again and again in the Epistles of the New Testament. And it’s talking about all those that are in Christ are chosen before the foundation of the world. But how do we get into Christ?

Let me give you a good cross-reference, and this is Philippians 3-9. And in Philippians 3-9 it says, be found in him. Now, circle in him in Philippians 3-9. I hope you’ve already circled in him in Ephesians 1-4. Ephesians 1-4 says, according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world. But now if you look at Philippians 3-9, it says, be found in him. And if you look at the last two words of the verse, it says, by faith.

In other words, when we place our faith or trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are placed into Christ. That is where we are seen by God. We are placed in the Christ and that happens, by the way, to every believer by the operation of the Holy Spirit, called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12, 13 says, by one Spirit, are we all baptized into one body, Whether we be bond or free, whether we be Jew or Gentile, we’ve all been made to drink into one spirit.

The consequence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not speaking in tongues, but the consequence is found in 1 Corinthians 1227 where it says, now, right now, you are the body of Christ and members in particular. Although his only spirit takes you and places you into Christ’s body and you become the body of Christ and you become a member in his body in particular. That’s 1 Corinthians 12, 27. Well you’ll notice your Philippians 3, 9 says, Be found in him in the last two words of the verse are by faith.

Of course I’m not wanting to avoid the middle part of the verse. Let me go ahead and back up and take a look at it. It says, be found in him not having my own righteousness, which is of the law. If you stood before God in your righteousness, you would be disqualified for heaven. You would not be able to enter in. But it goes on to say here, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.

When you place your trust in Jesus as savior, you are seen as though you were as righteous as God or Christ. So the righteousness of God is what you need to have as you are covering to be able in heaven. That is acquired by faith. It says, be found in Him in Christ, not having your own righteousness, but that righteousness which is of God by faith when you trust Christ is your Savior. If I were to use my Bible here to illustrate what I’m talking about, I would let my Bible represent Jesus Christ.

Then I would take a piece of paper and I would crumple it up here a little bit to represent that it’s soiled and it’s sinful. Then, I would take this crumbled piece of paper representing us in our sins and place it into my Bible and close the pages of the Bible upon that piece of soiled paper. Then, if you were to look at my Bible, you would not see the soiled paper which represents us in our sinfulness, but you would actually see the Bible which represents the righteousness of Christ.

Now, if I were to pull that crumpled piece of paper out of my Bible, and if you stood before God in your sinful condition, you would be disqualified for heaven. You would not make heaven. But if I could take you and the fact that you’re a sinner, then I’m a sinner and place you into Christ’s body, then God would see only the righteousness of Christ and not your sinfulness. So here it is in Philippians 3.9. We found in him the keywords in him Ephesians 1.4.

It says according as yet chosen us in him before the foundation of the world. Here’s another illustration. Let’s say that you wanted to take a flight from Tampa, Florida to Chicago this afternoon. Well guess what? The airline has predetermined long before today that that particular flight, let’s say that leaves at 3 o’clock this afternoon nonstop for Chicago, is going to go to Chicago. So the airline has predetermined that. But the airline hasn’t predetermined who’s going to be on that flight.

you can buy a ticket on that flight. And then if you buy that ticket and you get in that airplane, that flight is going to go to Chicago. Well, the Bible talks about, in a sense, if you use my illustration, flight Jesus. Everybody in flight Jesus will go to heaven. That has been predetermined before the foundation of the world. Before the foundation of the world was ever laid, before the earth was ever created, God chose everybody in flight Jesus to go to heaven.

Now, it’s your choice to whether you’re going to be on flight Jesus or not. And when you trust Christ according to Philippians 3 and 9, you’re found in Christ or in flight Jesus by faith. So when you place your faith in Christ, you become in Christ and therefore you’re on flight Jesus. One day, everybody on flight Jesus is going to arrive in heaven. So if you are a believer, you are in Christ and God has chosen everybody in Christ to go to heaven.

I hope you follow. That the choice is yours. That you can accept to reject Jesus Christ as Savior. If you accept Him, you are found in Christ, Philippians 3 9, by faith, Philippians 3 9. If you are in Christ, God has chosen before the foundations of the world that everybody in Christ would go to heaven. Everybody outside of Christ that is not trust in Christ’s Savior would be forever lost. I hope that makes it clear. I’m Dr. Englund from This is Bible and we’re going to get our colors in just one moment.

That phone number by the way is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. I believe the doctrine of election where you are taught as Calvinism does, that you have no choice is obviously a false doctrine. And it is dangerous in the sense that it kills evangelism. a very thing that Christ told us to do. In the great commission, Christ said to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. And obviously those who believe that everybody’s already picked out, I believe are discouraged.

I know I would quit. I would stop witnessing if I felt that I had no impact upon that lost person getting saved. And I It’s something that we’re told that we ought to do. Proverbs 11.30 says, he that when the soul is wise. Well here we go to the phone lines. It’s 1-800-576-3771. We have Tim in Lake Worth, Florida. Tim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Patrick. How are you? Good.

He says he’s a Christian and he’s not a JW, but he feels that the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, not one. He’s not a Trinitarian. I’m trying to come up with scripture to force my belief as a Trinitarian. I’ve got you could help and I also want to know his first John 5, 7, and 8. I would believe so. I think those are a couple of great verses that obviously say that all three are one. And you can’t get away from what the scriptures teach.

Even in Genesis 1-1 it says, in the beginning God created the heavens and earth. Now that word God from the Hebrew is Elohim, E-L-O-H-I-M. And the I am ending let you know in English that it is a plural form of the word God which in Hebrew means three or more. So there you have the Trinity really involved in verse one. Verse two you have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. In verse 26 through 28 God said, let us make man in our image.

It is plural because in the Hebrew it is plural and that means three or more. So the whole Godhead was acting in concert there to bring about the creation of the universe and of man. Now the Jewish people who think that we believe in three gods and maybe your friend does too, every time they get together on the Sabbath, they quote what is called the Shama. And this is in Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 4 where it says here, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.

And obviously they make a big point about the fact that they’re monotheistic and believe in one God. Of course we also believe in one God. But what is interesting here is that the word one here is the word Akkad, Echod. There’s another word in the Hebrew, Yachid, Y-A-C-H-I-D, which means absolute one. Well, that’s not the word that God chose to use here. He uses the word Akad, and it really means a composite unity. Let me share with you how the word Akad is used.

In Genesis, when Adam and Eve were married, it says the two became Akad or one. So here’s a composite unity. Two people become one new family. We find that when the twelve spies were sent out by Moses to spy out the Promised Land, two of them came back with a good report. And they brought back a cluster of grapes. So large they had to suspend it on a pole between them. And in fact the symbol today of the Ministry of Tourism Israel is two men carrying a pole over their shoulders with this huge cluster of grapes that extends almost from solar height down to the ground.

Now the word used for that one cluster is a cod, ECHOD, and it means it can, and it must have been thousands of grapes on that one cluster, and yet it was one cluster. And so this is how it used, and by the way the word Elohim is used over 3000 times in the Old Testament, so you can’t get away from it. Well, there are numerous verses also that obviously talk about all three members of the Godhead. Look if you will at Isaiah chapter 61.

Here’s one of many times when God mentions all three members of the Godhead in just one verse. In Isaiah chapter 61 verse 1 it tells us here that the Lord, I’m almost there, let me turn to it and we’ll read it right out of the Bible here. Isaiah 61 verse 1 says, The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me. In that one line you have the whole of the Trinity. spirit there is the Holy Spirit and then it says of the Lord God which is Annoi Yahweh that’s the Father is upon me and the me is Jesus and how do we know because in Luke chapter 4 Jesus quotes this very verse and says that it’s talking about himself so here you have the Holy Spirit you have God the Father and you have Jesus who is the second eternal member of the Godhead

We can show many more verses in the Old Testament that talk about the three being one. Let me go to John’s Gospel now in chapter 14. Here’s one of so many verses that have all three members of the Godhead in one verse. In verse 26 of John 14 it says, but the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, there you have the third member of the eternal Godhead, whom the Father, there you have the first member of the Eternal Godhead, will send in my name that’s Jesus the second member of the Eternal Godhead.

He the Holy Spirit will teach you all things and bring you all things to your remembrance whatsoever I’ve said unto you. And there’s verse after verse after verse in the Gospel of John that have all three members of the Godhead. That’s just a few, but maybe that’s a little head start anyway on helping you. I think I’ll have it call you. Yeah, because you can’t defend any other position. The Bible is very clear. What about 1 John 5, 7, and 8?

I’m not sure how to interpret that. Well, in 1 John, there are some of those who obviously don’t like that verse being in there. And they try to say it shouldn’t be in the Bible that it’s omitted. But it says here in verse 7 here, 1 John chapter 5, there are three that bear wit record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. And that’s pretty plain that it’s God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Word there of course is another title for Christ that you see in John’s Gospel chapter 1 where the Word was with God and the Word was God and the Word was made flesh into ultiminos. Okay. What I’m going to do is bring him over a brief thing that’s probably the best way to do it. Excellent. Okay. Thank you very much. Have a blessed day. You too. Thank you Tim. That was Tim and he is calling in from Lake Worth, Florida and now we’re going to go to Roy in the bearing Florida and Roy you’re on the air I’m not really a question, but I want to elaborate on this.

When in Act 238, when the Master says, and I’ve heard your explanation of what repent in the baptism of the intername with Jesus, which is… which is thinking about you can sing a sense because the people who speaking of are not sinners because well obviously they’re sinners because Romans 3 23 says for all of sin and all have come sort of glory of God So everybody is a sinner, but they were unsaved They were the very ones who had crucified Christ the leadership of Israel and he’s telling them really to change your mind and realize that they made a mistake and actually crucified the real thing, the real Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, the God of glory.

Paul tells us in Corinthians 1-9 over in 2 Corinthians, had they known that Jesus was the Lord of glory, they would not have crucified him. But here you have God himself, the Lord of glory and they crucified him because they didn’t believe he was Lord of Glory so they had to change your mind about that. So the point is these men did not have like a high-tier living extent you know a lot of people like to tell you to repent or turn away from a sin.

Right. And I have this major issue. The issue is they did not believe that his Christ was. Exactly. They were sinners but they were religious and they obviously were devout in the sense They were trying to do the very best they could but it wasn’t good enough obviously they needed a savior as we all do Take their mind and believe in Jesus Christ of that. That’s right Exactly. All right. Thank you, sir. You killed me doing your go work.

All right. Thank you Roy and The Berry Florida over on the east coast of Florida. I want to say again Thank you Miami for tuning in and all those of you in South Florida And we have to say goodbye to you as you check out early before the stations go off the air. But we’re so glad you’re listening every day and call us. And if you can, help my boy. And would you pray for us and send a gift to help us if you would to stay on the air in your area.

We’re now going to go back to our other areas. And we have several. Well, we have a ton of off air questions. know that we’re gonna He says that he is a believer in the Bible. We have Cooper, and Lansing, Michigan calls in and leaves this. How can you explain to someone the existence of God when they believe the Bible is fiction? Well, it doesn’t matter what they believe about the Bible, I believe you should use the Bible anyway.

Because it says in Hebrews 4, 12 that the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing and dividing a sinner between the soul and the spirit and the joints of the morrow and as a discerner of the thoughts and the intense of the heart. The Word of God works whether somebody on the other end believes it or not. If somebody worded rob you and you had a gun and you pulled it out and said, this He stands still and I’m calling the cops on you and he says, well, I don’t believe that that’s a gun.

Or I don’t believe that that gun will hurt me. Do you say, oh, okay, and then you put your gun away? Of course not. Well, Satan wants to disarm the believer by saying, hey, the Bible isn’t the Word of God. I think it’s all fiction. Well, guess what? It still works and it cuts deeply within the person’s soul. The Word of God works. I have found people who told me they didn’t want to hear anything about the Bible and five minutes later get saved because when you quote scripture, there’s something powerful about the Word of God that really does work.

Cooper in Lansing, Michigan, thank you for calling in. I hope that that helps. We’re going to go to a break here and come back and do a second half hour of Bible and so keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’ll be back in just a moment to do the second half hour of Bibleline. We’re going to North Port, Florida now and we’re going to talk to Anthony and North Port Florida is south of Tampa on the west coast of Florida here and we welcome you to the program.

Good morning. Good morning. God bless. It led me to three starvation by faith. I was led to these three scriptures. I’m going to give them to you and then I’m going to hang up and listen. The first one is John 15 verse 6. Second one is Galatians 5 19 through 21 and the third one is Revelations 315. I just wanted to know if you can explain that to me if it has any relation to do with salvation. Alright, well if you’re good at that and thank you Anthony for calling in from North Port, Florida.

15. We have the parable there of the vine and we have fruit bearing in view, not salvation. It tells us in verse 2, every branch in me. Now, when you trust Christ as your Savior, if you were hearing the first half of the program, we talked about in Philippians 3 9, be found in Him by faith. So you become a branch in the vine by faith. And once you’re In Christ you are predestined to go to heaven and you will make it there.

Nothing will ever undo that. Verse 6 is talking about reward, I believe, where if you are not bearing fruit as a Christian, that your works, your testimony is worthless. And it says men gather them as a wizard branch and they burn them. And obviously I believe it’s talking about the fact that your testimony, your words have no value and they’re just burnt up. And it’s an illusion I think of a picture of what will happen at the judgment seat of Christ in 1 Corinthians 3 where Christians’ works are going to be examined one day and if they’re not of any value they’ll be burnt up.

But yet it says you’ll still be saved Anthony. Corinthians 3.15 says, if any man’s works shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, its loss of rewards, but he himself shall be saved. So you’re still saved even though you have no works to show for it. So you don’t want to have God one day say he’s ashamed of you as a believer. You’d rather have himself have him say, well done, no good and faithful servant. You’ve done a great job and that’s really what John 15 16 is all about.

In Revelation chapter 5 it talks about the works of the flesh as contrasted with the works of the Spirit and it names a whole list of things that are the works of the flesh which the Bible says here that those who do those things, if they’re unsaved, would go to help. any one of those sins would cause you to go to hell. But the believer… He says, Forgive unto those. If you go all the way down to verse 24, it says, You have crucified the flesh and its affections.

So when you trust Christ, it says, in Galatians 2, 20, that you are crucified together with Christ. Therefore these sins were seen as paid for as Christ died on the cross. You died on the cross because you were placed in the Christ’s body. And what happened to Christ? happen to you. Therefore you are crucified, buried, and resurrected even as Christ is. It is not talking about a loss of salvation, but as a believer you want to have the fruit of the Spirit in your life as contrasted with the works of the flesh.

Obviously you don’t want the sentient and sedition and hatred and fighting and all kinds of things like that in your life you’d rather have love and joy and peace I’m sure. Then we have Revelation 315 and they’re talking to the church at Lea Bessia in Revelation chapter 3 and verse 15 he’s talking about their works and he said because they were neither cold nor hot he says I will spew you out of my mouth. In other words he’s saying you make me nauseous as a Christian and I want to throw up what is what Christ is saying.

And so he’s talking here not about loss of salvation but again loss of service. Each of the seven churches were a lampstand or a light. Each of us are to present the gospel of Christ in this world and we’re a light therefore in a dark world as we hold forth the gospel message. Here is saying that if you continue as you are, he would go ahead and use another group. Each of the seven churches are not only seven literal churches that existed in the time that John wrote the book of Revelation, but they’re pictures of seven periods of church history.

And each one of them passed and because of a fault in the church, God moved on to the next generation to be the ones that would carry out the gospel message. He’s not talking about loss of salvation, talking about loss of service and loss of reward. And notice here they thought they were rich and he said that you’re poor and rich and naked and he says in verse 18 he counsels you to buy him gold, try it in the fire.

But that’s rewards in heaven that would come about by your being faithful and serving the Lord and that rewards would come as a result or consequence. Hope that helps and we thank you for calling in with that question. All right, we’re now going to go to Matthew in Spring Hill, Florida and Matthew. Welcome to Bibleline You’re on the Earth. Good morning, Dr. Hank. My question revolves around, you know, always controversy with losing salvation. I’ve been in an assembly of God Church visiting there for a little bit and recently we got on the topic of, you know, exactly.

You know, exactly that, security and internal life and praise God for that. When I present the gospel of salvation, they make it seem like I’m promoting the license I was wondering what you had to say, what could I say to that to still stay on that topic of grace? I would tell them congratulations that they are finally hearing the true message because the Bible says that that is the accusation that would come against somebody who’s preaching the true gospel.

So when somebody says that, you can say, well, I think you’re getting the point now because it seems like that’s what people would say. For example, Paul says in Romans 6-1, what shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Also earlier in chapter 3 of Romans, Paul says here, let’s see if I can find the verse, we be slanderously reported as some affirm that we say, let us do evil, that good may come. And so that was a typical response because that’s exactly what those are unsaved.

Think when you tell them that you have to do nothing to be saved but trust in the finished worth of Christ. So I surprise them sometimes and I tell them that boy you’re getting it right, you’re hearing it for the first time maybe. But really it’s true that the two objections that come to the true gospel. The number one is that it’s too simple. And guess what? It is simple. It says in 2 Corinthians 11, 3, Paul says, I fear less by any means as the serpent begowed Eve back in the garden through his subtlety.

So your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. It is so simple. To me, when I heard the gospel, I said that that has to be truth because it’s simple. I was a scientist at heart. I went on to graduate in electrical engineering and I knew that the basic formulas of science were simple. Even Einstein’s most incredible discovery, E is equal to MC squared. Look at how you can reduce everything in the universe down to that simple equation that energy and matter are equitable by that particular formula.

I said to myself when I heard the gospel, I said, boy, this ring is clear, simple. It doesn’t exclude anyone. It doesn’t make only the intellectual able to go to heaven or the rich to go to heaven or the people of a certain race or color to go to heaven. It’s extended to all and it’s completely free, God paid for it. and justPATH theclerosisrieving403 The fact that I already had a basis that science really, if you have the truth, is complicated, you probably got everything backwards.

But when you finally reduce everything down to truth, it becomes very simple. ________________________ metic thependuction databaseagara guiActiveUn which is when you brought up and you can’t once you.iseumScotubuntu Aah, Matthew, you, you, born again. And in verse 6 it says, For whom the Lord loves he chases and every son who he receives. So when you receive the God’s family as a son, now all of a sudden God will take up his parental responsibilities and discipline you whenever you sin. So you are not just living as you please.

In fact, in verse 8, I have seen people panic when they read this one. Because it says if you be without chastisement, well of all of God’s sons are partakers, you’re a bastard and not a son. I’m saying there’s pretty strong words. It says you’re Legitimately claiming to be a Christian if you could go out and let me you please and God lets you get away with it He’s not he’s gonna. Spank you and you’re gonna know you’re and I have that happen believable to Christ especially brand new believer.

They say wow Everything was going smooth in my life until I’m saved and now wow I’m having all kinds of troubles and conflicts in my life. I said that’s God I’m chasing, and dealing with you in order that he gets you to turn your life Around so that he can bless your life and so brand new believers especially see that contrast real quickly And it’s a proof it’s an evidence and evidence When all of a sudden things aren’t going so smooth anymore.

It’s because your save your favorite spanking you Amen. Thanks for the… Thank you. All right. We’ll get Matthew and then we’ll pray for you. Thank you. Yes. And alsoqus everyone that’s confused about this. The devil’s got one other question too, if you don’t mind. Go ahead. In 1st Timothy 2, 4, who will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truthibraries. I wonder if you can just expand on that and I’ll hang up and listen.

Okay. It’s God’s desire that everyone would be saved. And so that’s why Christ died for all men, for God’s love the world. John 3 16 says that he gives only begotten Son. But again, it is your choice. So you obviously need to accept the you need to accept the payment that Christ made. Trust him as the Savior who died and shed his blood to pay for your sins. So it’s God’s will for all to be saved. He made provision for all to be saved by Christ dying for all men.

But the person that the other end of the equation here has to receive that by belief. So, however, John 3 16 says, believeth in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. So, you have to, on the other end, take the provision of God of Christ and believe on Him. We now have Jonathan in Richmond, Virginia. Jonathan, welcome to Bibleline. Thank you, Dr. Hank, for taking my call. This morning I just wanted you to maybe get your opinion on the last few verses of James Shepf.

All right, we can do that. We’ll talk about Jeff. About what? It’s talking about if you save, if you sin and above it persuade you back that he saved you from death. I just wanted to get clarity on what that actually meant. just the last few verses of the book of John. I mean James excuse me. I’m turning it right now. Let’s go there and take a look. It says here, brethren, if any of you, that is a believer, err from the truth and one convert him, let him know that he which converted the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death.

I think it’s physical death and I think the Lord takes Christians home to have an early on occasion when they’re not listening. But if you see another Christian sitting and you get them to change their life and get back on track, you’ll avoid them having… been taken home by the Lord. First John chapter 5 or 16 talks about a sin and the death that nobody can get you out of. In other words if you commit the sin and the death you are going to die but it doesn’t mean hell.

In Acts chapter 5 you have a nice and sufire. They committed the sin and the death in that they lied about their giving and as a result God took them home. We find in 1 Corinthians 5-1 there’s a man there who’s a Christian. He’s=-=-=-=- in adultery with his mother, his probably a stepmother. Paul says, turn him over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that the Spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. So I think it’s really saying that God allowed Satan to kill him, but yet he would be safe uh…

moses committed to send on the death i believe when he uh… smother rock when he was supposed to just speak to the rock and we find that uh… uh… mosas was not allowed to enter the promise land and god uh… never even let him cross over jordan into the promise land he died from uh… uh… moutpishka And I’ve been on the top of that mountain where you can view from the Jordanian side, the Jordan River that divided the two.

Well, it’s a fascinating thing. But throughout the Bible, there are those who commit that sin, which is a sin unto death. And I think James is talking about a similar thing, that if you are able to get a believer straightened out, you will prevent them from committing sins that they will continue to commit until they died. I believe that’s what the last phrase is talking about in James 2.20, a high to multitude of sins that these sins will never be committed and you’ll save him from dying physically early because of sin in his life.

Jonathan, thank you so much and I hope that helps and we appreciate all of you that are calling in today to the Bible and program. We have Rich in Treasure Island and he says, the Euler U Church support any presidential candidate. you give any guidance as to how to choose who we should vote for. Well, we don’t obviously publicly recommend anybody. That is your choice. But certainly as a Christian, I believe that you would want to have somebody who best expresses your beliefs as a Christian.

And so therefore, therefore, we will find out what the candidates with issues that, relate to our belief system. And we want somebody who would be very much in positions that you find taught in the Bible. So that’s my recommendation. And I hope you can find such a person. It’s difficult today to find an openly vocal Christian candidate candidate who proclaims Christ and believe the word of God and also votes)| along those lines. That’s what we need. That’s what we need as leadership in our country.

We’re now going to go to another off-air caller, and that is Janice in St. Petersburg. Is there any cultural background for churches having female leaders? Was this something just for Bible times, or does it still apply to our culture today? And Janice, some of the answer is it still applies to this very day. God does not want women preachers. the Bible, and the Bible, and the first of the chapter 2, it says, you know, I do not allow women to teach, nor do you serve authority over the man, but to be silent in the church.

So women are not to be the pastors or leaders within the church. The Bible gives two good reasons. It says first, reason is that created first, so in order to have a chain of authority and to have the Bible tells us that the man responds to the man who is the spiritual leader of his home, and this is a precedent that God set from the very get go back in the garden of Secondly, it tells us here in 1 Timothy 2, that Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

So here it tells us that women are more likely to be deceived in spiritual matters. And so we really don’t want women to be the preachers if they are more likely to be deceived. The reason why is because they think more emotionally, men think more factually. That’s just a fact. And so men are less likely to be deceived. That doesn’t mean they won’t do wrong, but they’re not deceived in it. And women though are deceived. For example, several cults have been started by women.

And they think emotionally. LNG White says, I just can’t imagine a God that would send anybody to hell. So she denied help. And the Seventh Adventist in his very name did not believe in hell because they followed the teachings of a woman. The wonder God said, hey Ellen, you should have been quiet. You should not have been a preacher. You should not have misled all these people that are under your umbrella. Also Mary Baker Eddie, founder of the Christian Science Religion.

She again bought a motion. She said, I just can’t imagine a God that would send anybody to hell. Why that’s terrible. So she says there is no help. And she wrote her book, Key to Science and Health in Scripture. And she tellsisconsachusetts, what verses in the Bible you can’t believe? Anything that deals with sin or death or hell? She just erases it or says don’t believe those verses, their error and the other verses are truth. And so you got to watch out.

And obviously women teachers have a tendency. I don’t know of a good woman teacher out there. the very careful if you’re listening to any women uh… preachers so thank you we don’t have carl and temple for the calling in carl welcome to bible and you’re on here uh… yeah i just wondered uh… and about what i thought about those that i like I’m not going into the Kingdom of God like an auditor, some drunk kids and whatnot. And we know that the only sin that we’re accounted for is a sin of unbelief.

And I was just wondering what exactly is the Kingdom of God? How does that compare to let’s say salvation? If you can explain that, I’ll just listen to you. sure uh… thank you carl actually Sure. It’s talking about going to heaven and let me recommend you read this passage in 1 Corinthians 6. It says, no you not, verse 9 of 1 Corinthians 6 says, no you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Stop unrighteous means that they do not have the righteousness of God which is by faith, but they’re standing before God in their own righteousness.

Then it gives you a list of some of the sins that they may commit. Do not be deceived. of formicators, nor adulters, nor adulters, nor feminine, nor beuses of themselves of mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of gun. All right, but this is where people stop reading. Look if you will at verse 11, and such were some of you. But you are what washed? You areCatal, you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

So here it lists all theseFax things. Any of these sins could send you to help. But the Believers here in Corinth, he says, and such were some of you, but you are washed. So as a believer, we areundai of our sin and given the gift of eternal life, and obviously we’re saved eternally as a result. We now have Harold in St. Petersburg and Harold, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hey, Dr. Lynch, how are you? Good. If you have like some daughters, okay, who are just getting into dating, or some convicting scriptures that would lead them down.

I’ll leave them down a truthful way to dating and courtship and things like that. I’ll hang up and listen. Thank you. Alright. Well, let me just see here. We have a couple of things here in our Resource Center that are very helpful about dating, but sometimes I think we date too young. You might want to supervise at what age they will be allowed to date, where they will be able to go on their date and who they date because obviously you can get yourself in trouble.

Let me recommend that you call here and get the things that will be helpful to you. The end of our program we have to run and start to cut that short herald.
