Antar. Lent begins today but guess what if you didn’t know it there is no Lent in your Bible. There might be Lent LINT, LINT, and take your Bible and Lent might fall out but there is no Lent LINT in your Bible. It is not biblical, it is not found in your Bible or anybody’s Bible absolutely amazing. Bible. See if any L.E. and T falls out. There won’t be any Lent in your Bible. Lent is pagan. It has to do with the Babylonian mystery religion that began all the way back in Genesis 10.

There you have a woman named Jimaramously, wife of Nimrod that you read about in Genesis 10. She started a religious system, the worship of herself and her son, Tamuz. And according to legend, Tamuz was injured in a hunting accident with a wild boar and there are two versions. One is his life hung in the balance for 40 days. The other is that he died and after 40 days came back from the dead. And during those 40 days everybody prayed and fasted to the heathen gods and then the Resurrection of Tamarus was celebrated after the 40 days when he comes back from the dead.

Well, guess what? That religious system, the worship of a mother and her son, spreads throughout the world and the name has changed, but the system may remain the same. In Italy, it was Venus and Cupid. In In Greece it was Aphrodite and Eros. In Egypt it was Ices and Horus. In Israel it was Astroth and Bail. Astroth by the way the short form is Astr the English form is Easter. Easter is really the name of the mother of Bail.

And we find that Lent was a pagan practice that came along long before Christianity. There is no such thing in the Bible. But yet people are observing them as beginning today. This is so called Ash Wednesday. You’ll see people with smudges on their foreheads and you’ll say, they didn’t they wash when they got up today? Well, in any case, it’s all part of a pagan celebration. And you will find it as something that God hated back in Ezekiel. You have your Bible, you’ll find this very interesting.

Ezekiel 8, quite a remarkable passage here, and this is where Ezekiel was actually taken back in time and time travel to see what happened in Jerusalem and why God destroyed the city of Jerusalem and why he carried the Jewish people captive into Babylon. All you find here is in verse 1 of chapter 8 of Ezekiel, it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the sixth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me that the hand of the Lord fell there upon me.

Here you have Ezekiel living in northern Iraq, a part of the Babylonian captivity, and he is sitting in his living room, and there the elders of the tribe of Judah were sitting there before him, and while he was sitting there talking to these elders of the tribe of Judah. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him here, the hand of the Lord fell upon me there. Verse 2 of Ezekiel 8 says, Then I beheld, and lo alightness as of the appearance of fire, fell from the appearance of his loins even downward of fire, from his loins even upward as the appearance of brightness, as the color of amber, and he put forth the form of an hand, took me by a lock of my head, and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heavens, and He brought me in the visions of

God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inter gate that looked toward the north, which was the seat of the image of jealousy which provoked So here we find that Ezekiel was actually picked up by the hare and carried not only from Iraq to Jerusalem, but back in time prior to the invasion by Nebuchadnezzar, prior to the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, prior to the captivity of the Jews in Iraq, the Babylonian captivity. And verse 4 says, and behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there according to the vision which I saw on the plane.

You know, God would make His glory appear at the temple. So this was prior to God’s glory leaving the temple. But once this invasion took place, the temple was destroyed and God’s glory was no longer there. wanted Ezekiel to know why he had done this. It’s a fascinating chapter. We’re not going to read the whole chapter. But I want you to go over to verse 13 where we find here that he’s already shown Ezekiel a number of things that were taking place prior to the destruction of Jerusalem, whether the reasons why God allowed it to be destroyed.

It says here in In verse 13, many said unto me, Turn ye out again, and I shall see greater abominations that they do. Many brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house, which was toward the north, and behold there sat women weeping for Tamuz. Women weeping for Tamuz. Well, Tamuz is obviously this counterfeit of Jesus there in the Old Testament, and here they were weeping for Tamuz. That is Lent. That is Lent. Weeping and fasting and praying and giving up things.

They prayed to the heathen gods because either Tamuz had died according to one tradition or he was in danger of dying. And for 40 days they fasted and they wept for Tamuz. Here are women, white there in Jerusalem, weeping for Tamuz as he brought me to the gate of the Lord’s house that was the temple of the Jerusalem temple there which was toward the north and beholders that women weeping for Temu’s. God was very upset about this celebration of Lent.

It is unbiblical. It is absolutely pagan. By the way, when Constantine came along in the fourth century, he declared Christianity to be the world religion and this worship of Asthra and Baal or this worship of Simoramas in our son Tamuz, all of a sudden became Mary and Jesus. The system was the same. And so we still have the celebration of weeping and fasting and praying for Tamuz, but now it’s claimed to be for Jesus. The Bible is not very easy.

It’s the counterfeit of Christianity that God hates. Maybe you’re in a church that celebrates Lent. Can you get your Bible and try to find Lent in your Bible? You will not find Lent. You’ll find L-I-N-T, but no L-E-N-T. It’s just not there. What you do find here about Lent in Ezekiel 8 is why God hated it. He was very upset here. He tells them, that they had a number of abominations that they were practicing right there in the temple area and this was of course why God destroyed Jerusalem, carried the Jewish people away captive into Iraq.

The next one has to do with the celebration of the resurrection of Temuys from the dead and by the way that coincides with when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ And notice how they would celebrate here. I’m going to read it here in Ezekiel 8. And this is Ezekiel, having been taken from his home in Iraq, transported to Jerusalem by the lock in his hair, and transported back in time prior to the destruction of Jerusalem when the glory of the Lord was still seen at the temple.

And it says here in verse 15, He said unto me, hast thou seen this, was that of end? Turned the yet again, and thou shall see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house, and behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the ports in the altar were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord. Catch that! God’s presence was made known at the temple.

They turned their backs on the Lord on the temple, and they had their faces toward the east and they worship the sun toward the east. Guess what this is all about. The false god here, Tamuz, or later Bail, was also known as the Sun God. And they here would be there in the dark waiting for the sun to rise and worship the sun god as it rose in the east. By the way, this is the origin of the sunrise services that we have today.

If you ever wondered why do people get up in the middle of the night? I don’t remember as a little child. My mom would get me up out of bed and get me dressed and I said, Mom, it’s not even light yet. What are we doing? What are we where are we going? We’re going to church. We’re going to church and it’s dark. It’s not even light yet, Mommy. Why are we getting dressed? And we would head off and we’d get the church.

We’d stand outside. We’d face the East and we’d watch for the Sun to come up. Well, guess what? That’s what they were doing here in Ezekiel chapter 8 and An Astaroth, whose name in the short form is Easter, was celebrating the resurrection of her son Bael as he was the sun god and the celebration of his resurrection was pagan and predated becoming a Christ. And when they would celebrate it, they would be up early in the morning facing the east, watching for the sun to rise and guess what?

They would celebrate when the sun came up over the horizon, the resurrection of Tamos. This is all pagan. I believe Christ rose at sundown, not sunrise. Christ was placed in the grave at sundown. He said in Matthew 1240, he’d be three days and three nights in the grave, that’s 72 hours. If Christ is in the grave 72 hours and you put him in the ground at sundown, he has to come out at sundown. I believe Saturday sundown is when Christ rose.

By the way, that’s the beginning of Sunday because the Jewish people count the night first and they count their day from sundown to sundown. So Sunday night began Saturday at sundown, still does. If you’re Jewish or you are familiar with Jewish customs, Saturday night at sundown, the Sabbath is over. Sunday has begun. And in the morning when the women came, with their spices, they discovered the tomb was already empty. Christ was already gone. He’d only been risen by twelve hours when they got there.

If you keep Christ in the grave until Sunday morning, you have violated scripture because you’ve placed in the grave for three days and four nights. That’s right. He was in the grave according to his own words, three days and three nights. That means from Wednesday sundown till Saturday sundown he came back from the dead in the morning the discovery was gone. Headed these abominations in Ezekiel 8 and that is lent and the false worship of the resurrection of Tamuz or Baal and that is still practiced by a sunrise service as they’re really watching for the sun god to rise in the morning over the horizon.

Did you know that? I didn’t know that when I was growing up. My mom couldn’t tell me except that we had to go and we stood outside. We waited for the sun to rise in the morning. I believe that’s taken. I believe the true time to worship the resurrection of Christ is that sunrise. So there is no Lent, L-E-N-T in your Bible. There might be L-I-N-T Lent, but you can shake your Bible all you want. There’ll be no L-E-N-T that will fall out.

There’s no Lent in anybody’s Bible, except for these passages here to talk about what an abomination it was. And it was a false practice of praying for Camus that he would either survive this deadly wound that he had or that he would be resurrected from the dead, depending on which tradition he was. you follow. Purely taken. Still around. Introduced in Christianity. You can’t find it in your New Testament. You can’t find it as a practice that Christians were to practice.

It is totally wrong. Anyway, I thought I would share that with you today. I’m Dr. Englundstrom. This is Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. From our studios, we have lots of colors waiting here to talk and we’re going to go first to Willie. Eddie’s He’s in Schenectady, New York, and we’re going to talk to Willie right now. Willie, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. How are you? Good. Good morning.

Sir, first time call with longtime listener, Bill. Beautiful. I, pastor, small church here in upstate New York. We have Tuesday night Bible study. And we ran across a passage and scripture that I need a little help with. Isaiah 45 verse 7. Want me read it to you? Sure, go ahead and read it to me. I found the light in create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I have a Lord do all these things. The create evil was the question.

Yes, so am I now okay, you know if you have if you have the Scofield Bible, it will really help you on this particular issue because the note of the Scofield Bible, let me just read it to you on this particular passage. He says here, the Hebrew word is translated sorrow, wretchedness, adversity, afflictions, calamities, but never translated sin. God created evil only in the sense that he made sorrow, wretchedness, etc. to be the sure fruits of sin. In other words, he created consequences for sin.

He didn’t create evil, but he created the consequences of. It really is the answers in what is the original Greek or other Hebrew word there and Spokel is a wonderful job of Barrett bringing that out is translated sorrow wretchedness adversity afflictions Climaties but never translated sin God created evil only in the sense that he made sorrow wretchedness Climaties and so on to be the sure fruits of sin Let me ask you this I heard a past one time pretty anointed man too.

I just agree God is a whole lot and he cannot sin I I agree with what you’re saying. That’s what we have to rightly divide the word. But what happened was that the Bible study, thank you for that clarification by the way, but at the Bible study it led into the whole Job question. How Job was a perfect and upright man the scripture tells us and yet all kinds of bad things happen to him. Can you expound a little bit more on that for sure of course.

Sure, of course. Here God allowed Satan to test Job. And whenever God tests the man or allows Satan to test the man, it’s actually not with the intent that you would fail the test, but that you would pass it. And Job passed it with flying colors. And God rewarded him greatly for that. He had double what he had lost at the end. And Job grew to be a much more mature believer as a result. And what an incredible man Job was.

When he lost his children, he lost all his possessions. He said, naked came out of my mother’s womb, naked shall I return to their, the Lord is given, the Lord is taking away blessed be the name of the Lord. He worshiped the Lord. I mean, this is incredible. And he trusted that God was a faithful Creator. Tells us in Peter, and Peter tells us in the last verse of chapter 4, first Peter, that we, as believers, need to have that same mindset that we have a faithful Creator who is not going to do us wrong, and that whatever sufferings or adversities or trials that we go through, ultimately are there designed to make us better, stronger, more effective, and able to help and comfort others as they go through troubles in life as we learn through those experiences to depend upon the Lord and to trust

Him through those dark hours. That was pretty sick. Yeah, I think I forget the exact verse number, verse 16 or so, but it talks about being as we suffer that we trust that we have a faithful Creator, one who is not going to Do not fall. Good. Dr. Thank you. I listen to your show. I get a lot of wisdom and it helps a lot. God bless you. Wonderful. Well, thank you so much and that’s a pastor and it’s good to meet in New York.

Willie and thank you for calling and we’re glad that we have pastors that are listening and enjoying and we’re glad that we could be of help here. We’re now going to go to Tony in Richmond, Virginia and Tony. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hey, Dr. Lindstrom. How are you? what you’re seeing today okay so it was a question i’ll ask you a question i’m going to hang up and listen on the radio go ahead bankruptcy as a pain to christian pretty much anybody uh…

had somebody hit me with a birth uh… you’re wicked if you borrow and don’t pay back and the righteous give generously now my understanding is that i was made right just to the blood of jesus the moment i trust them all the battle pertain to bankruptcy and to say that it’s a bad thing i need to hang up with thanks alright anyway but the bible talks about beginning to be careful about getting into debt because you then become a slave to the lender and uh…

you’re not free so it’s difficult but you know today we have uh… everybody borrowing but as long as you pay your installments on time you’re not really violating a scripture i believe but you need to be careful that you don’t put yourself in over your head borrowing more than you can pay back and uh… in some times uh… there’s circumstances beyond all of our control and uh… and perhaps uh… uh… you might have to declare bankruptcy under some circumstances but but the reason you got tells us that we are a repair that’s that whatever and that’s we incur we should pay them but it may be that you can’t do that right now but maybe later even you could space on stalling back to the uh…

creditors that were basically cheated out of your uh… bankruptcy but uh… basically the lord is uh… there and you just need to have uh… those high principles to believe the bible and to believe that He’s going to take care of you and you need to if you encourage that you need to pay it you ought to you owe that debt and but maybe If circumstances to man that you might have to get that Off your back so that you can work and take your debt and maybe you can work out a deal for that But in any case basically the Bible says we should pay the debts that we owe no doubt about it Thank you Tony.

Hope that helps a little bit. We have Donald in Lansing, Michigan and Donald, Thank you Dr. Hank. I am wondering, do you have or know of any books that really expound on the Babylonian cult that started as power of Babylon and has infiltrated the whole world with its practices? We have one called Two Babylons and this one is written by a man named Hislop. It’s well We’re here.

documented. It’s difficult reading because it’s a lot of archaeological substantiation to the whole thing, but it’s absolutely fascinating. It talks about the origin of Lent and the celebrations of the Resurrection of Christ that are false, the benefits that were there in the Old Testament, and how God was very upset when Israel would worship. Astroth is the mother of Baal, her name in the short form is Aestar or the English is E-Star and I don’t like to use that word as we come up here in the spring on the resurrection of Christ.

I tell people happy resurrection. I don’t use the word the E word anymore. I think you know what it is. But it is the name of the mother of Baal. And so I think that we need to focus on what’s really going on here, that is Jesus and his death penalty resurrection and not this uh… false uh… religious system that’s uh… been went into christianity and of course lent is a part of that there is not such a as well as we pointed out today Yes, I know that the First Commandant is, I will have no other gods before me.

If we observe some of these practices, we’re worse than we got behind you. And I think it’s a real barrier to the holiness that God wants us to see us. Like to take people, the word people. You look it up in the dictionary and it has this, Evelyn I think the word cornucope, this is amazing the way it’s permeated our whole society. Well, the devil has been clever in doing that and I agree with you. And that book we have it is really great.

And others might want to get it to us called Two Babylons by Hishoth. And I’ve got it run. We’re going to end this half hour of the show and do a second half hour just a minute. But we’re going to go to break. And again, I want to thank all of you who listen to Bibleline. Thank you for listening today. And also, I’ll let you know that we are listening to support. And the books that we have in our Resource Center are books that I would recommend to you because they are books that have helped me better clear that are worth the money you pay for i’ve got thousands of books and most of my worth anything and i think you get a christian bookstore probably uh… less than five percent are really of any good value if i were to go through the bookstore and i say well here’s what you really ought to have in your library i’d probably throw everything in the bookstore way uh…

We had visitors this past weekend from Chicago, from California, from Ghana, Africa, and just all around the country.

We’re excited about people. coming by this Dr. Hank Lindstrom. I hope you’re enjoying. We were talking earlier about there is no Lent in your Bible. Lent is pagan, has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. It is a form of worship of the false counterfeit of Christ, to moves or as it’s better known in the Old Testament, Baal worship. And unfortunately it got transferred as to a… Christian practice in the fourth century by Constantine, but there is no Lent in anybody’s Bible and you just won’t find it.

And this of course is the beginning of Lent today as Wednesday, but there is no Ash Wednesday in the Bible. There is no Lent in the Bible. All of this is false and amazing how many Christians so-called are practicing pagan observances which are not in the Bible. Take your Bible, see if any LE&T falls out. It will not only L-I-N-T. You might have plenty of lint but no lint. And we want to just wake you up a little bit.

We have a great book here called Two Babylons. It’ll trace this system with great amounts of documentation from Genesis chapter 10, down to this present hour. And you can see how the false system has gotten wed in the Christianity pretty good. But it’s not difficult and you will not find it in your Bible. If you search the Bible to find out what you should be practicing, it’s not there. We have an anonymous call from Fort Lauderdale and we’re going to go down to Fort Lauderdale, Fortal right now and talk to anonymous.

Welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Hello, Doc Lynch. Yeah. How are you there? Good. I’m calling you about hiding in New Testament, sir. Is there a doctor who’s concerning There’s a lot of great verses about giving and we know that prior to Pentecost we were under the economy of the law given from Mount Sinai and the tithe was required under the law. But under grace now since Pentecost were to give freely from the heart. Somebody once said, should we give less today, under grace than we gave under the law?

In other words, basically we’re not giving now because we’re constrained to give or obligated to give. We give because we want to give. And that’s the difference in the principle there, but not that we should give less. So we’re not obligated to give. We just want to do it because we love the Lord and that’s what giving is under grace. I would recommend you read a couple of verses like 2 Corinthians 8 and 9 where it talks about how the Christ gave his life for us.

He was rich, but he became poor, so the way through his poverty might become rich. He’s a great example of giving. When we give, it is a demonstration of our love, our gratitude, our thankfulness. We find a lot of people talk, but they don’t putujah in the action. They say they love the Lord, but they don’t ever give. And yet to wonder, do they really have a sincere love to the Lord? And of course it says there in that chapter 8 that our giving proves the sincerity of our love.

And in chapter 9 it says that we are to give not grudgingly or giving because of necessity, but God loves a cheerful gift. We’re cheerful from the Greek means of hilarious that we give from the heart We just love to give and rejoins in giving. And God says He will bless us according to how we give. And He will prosper us according to our giving. And so definitely we ought to give, but it’s not under the law. So the doctrines of tithing is not in the New Testament?

That’s correct. The tide, you might want to give a tide, but actually the tide was under the Old Testament law. And now we have a good book called Balancing the Christian Life where Dr. Charles Lyrie writes a great book on a lot of different issues that are basically very Christian. And one whole chapter is on timing. He does a marvelous job. And he says maybe to get out of this legalistic. The old testament giving, do we choose to give 10.5% or 11% or maybe 9.5% but obligated to give it says that every man ought to purpose in his heart and then give according as God has prospered him in 2nd Corinthians 9.8 so we definitely obligated to give but we do it from the heart not as a command.

So, it’s added and given is not, I mean they are the same, but they’re not perceived. Well, one, it’s just on how you give. In other words, are you giving because you have to or are you giving because you want to? Grace, giving New Testament giving is because you want to. And so, if you’re getting, say, okay, all right, it’s like the IRS. They’re coming after me. I’ve got to give 10%. Then that’s Old Testament giving and that’s not the spirit of the New Testament giving.

The New Testament giving says, I want to give. I love the Lord. And you know, one of the verses that really got me was in Philippians 4, 17, where Paul says, as he talked about giving to the people at Philippi, he says, not that I desire a gift. He’s basically saying, I’m not trying to get your money, but I desire a fruit that may have bound to your account. So what I learned from that verse is, if you were giving, for example, to Paul’s ministry, fruit he won for Christ or crude for Christ would accrue to your account in heaven.

In other words, we benefit when we give. As a believer, I said, boy, if I could only have lived in that day, I would have loved and invested all my giving into Paul’s ministry. Wow, look at the fruit that he bore. I’d love to have that fruit accounting for me in heaven. As we give today, we need to look for a fruitful ministry, one that’s blessing us, one that’s to the lost one that’s challenging believers did to serve a Lord of life for cam and is having a real impact and that’s that brutal account to you as you give to that ministry.

Okay I’m gonna let you go but one more question then I might have to call you back again to the center but I won’t take a lot of that. Okay. So my question my statement is is all the years of giving tithes I mean giving you tithes and then giving often to the certain that it bled. I’m not saying and I’m saying that if you want to give 10% that’s fine but you should give it from the heart and not as an obligation that you’re under the law that says you must give 10%.

So that’s what it should be. To be a joyous giving to the Lord is because you’re grateful for what he’s done for you. And if you continue to tithe and if you’re giving from the heart then you’re giving the assessment giving, race giving. Thank you. All right, thank you. And that is a difficult concept for people to grasp, I think. And we have it come up all the time. We have Kevin in Largo, Florida. And Kevin, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air.

Thanks for tuning in today. Yeah, hi, Dr. Lindstrom. Hey, I had a question for you and it’s a little speculative, but pertaining to the He’s listening to the rap syrup and knowing that our time is looking like it’s kind of approaching it. What’s this election year and everything? This has a question with Obama because he’s such an eloquent speaker and things like that. It doesn’t the Antichrist come out of the tribe of Dan. That’s true. I believe so. I was just wondering what your speculation is if he happens to get into office and if things do escalate like that.

No, you know, we just have to sit back. The danger is we want to try to pick out the end of Christ. And the Bible says in 2nd Thessalonploy in chapter 2 that he’ll not be revealed until after the rapture. speculate and have fun at that. And maybe we might even be right, but we certainly can’t be sure until after the Rapture has taken place because that’s when he’s revealed as the Antichrist. But it certainly is interesting today to watch the politics of today and to see what’s happening in the world and in our country, which really lets us know the signs are everywhere that Christ’s return, I believe, is getting close.

And you can see see what’s happening in Israel right now. We’re truly living in the last days when Israel is becoming more hated than any other nation. on the planet. And Christ said in Matthew 24, he gave us a list of signs. He said that one of those would be, Israel would be hidden above all nations. And we see that happening around the world. More and more nations are turning their back on Israel and the Middle East is a mess.

And obviously the Antichrist is going to bring peace there. And we see that all of that is in the near future here. And we believe that we’re getting the out of here pretty soon. Thank you Kevin. We appreciate that call. Hi Pastor Hank, God bless you. Can we relate first Corinthians 14-3 with a right we might be wrong but we’ll know after the rapture for sure robert in britain florida is calling in and he is uh… in britain florida welcome to bible paper hearing god bless you uh…

can we uh… relate first current in fourteen three with uh… second timothy chapter four birth to is that same uh… the same thing I’m not too sure about. Second Timothy 4-2. Second Timothy 4-2. About preaching the word. You know, the gift of prophecy is gone. So, and the gift of tongues is gone. They were both operative at the time that 1 Corinthians 14, 1 Corinthians 2 Corinthians were written. It ended at the end of the 1st century. The gift of prophecy enabled the early believers to know about Protestant events before the New Testament had been written down.

Of course, it was events like the Rapture, the Second Coming, the Resurrection of the Dead, the Millennial Kingdom, and all those things that are future that are so spelled out in Scripture. The gift of prophecy has now been rendered entirely unnecessary. If you read the previous chapter 13, 8 through 10, It says that the gift of Propsuis would be rendered unnecessary and that the gift of knowledge would also cease and tongues would come to an utter and complete home when the New Testament record was complete.

So there’s nobody today that speaks in tongues. What they’re doing is a gibberish done by all the world religions and is not from God. I believe what we see today is a counterfeit and is not of a word at all. And if you have the real gift of tongues, you should use it to speak to the person who has that language so you can evangelize them. First Corinthians 14-9 says, except you speak by the tongue words, easy to be understood.

How shall it be known when it is spoken? You just speak into the air. So unless you’re speaking words easily understood by the hearer, you’re really misusing the gift even if you had it. And then verse 22 of chapter 14 says, tongues are for a sign, not to believers, but to So unbelievers, so as to be used with the laws, to communicate the gospel to them and to bring them to a saving knowledge of Christ. I haven’t met anybody yet who claims that they speak in tongues that have ever led to an amenity of Christ in their gift of tongues.

Yet you read 1 Corinthians 14, it was used for evangelism. It was assigned to unbelievers to bring them to Christ. And on the day of Pentecost, 3000 people got saved by hearing the gospel intifs that they were born and raised with. And that’s really what it’s all about. I sure hope that helps. Thank you for calling it Robert. We’re now going to go to… Let’s see here. We have Les in the land Florida. Les, welcome to Bibleline. Hey. Oh, how you doing, sir?

I’m on here, I guess. I’m on here. Yeah, you are. Great. I got a comment. I got a comment earlier on Isaiah 457. Okay. And I’d like to go back to Genesis 1 verse 4. And God saw the light that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. Now I’m going to and the beginning guy created the heavens and the earth to me that created the heavens and the the the the yeah correct yeah i mean modern science that they talk about the big bang which i kind of look at the the okay now there i would read that a little steven office book and we’re talking about these things and they were trying to calculate whether there was going to be a big trunch, or we were just going to keep going.

How point B and they were theorizing on what they called dark matter. He was, when God said he saw the light that it was good, and he divided the light from the darkness. He’ll mention it, but the darkness being good. But if you go to Isaiah 45, 7, form. So he took the, I mean to me, I just, I don’t know if there’s any doctor here, but it said he formed the light and created darkness. Now he created everything, but he formed the light matter.

He did something with it. made it was good. The dark is, he created it but he hasn’t done anything. Now I don’t know if that can relate at all to how I make peace and create evil. I mean I would discuss in the creation of evil and create everything. So this was his creation but sort of left alone. Well I think it’s very fascinating and what you’re bringing up is certainly some area to get some thought to. But of course the word evil is really not the correct translation.

It’s really he created consequences for evil and obviously when man broke the commandment to eat not of the tree that I was going to evil, the consequences were great as the F came upon the human race and the curse came upon the earth and so on. And obviously we had of all kinds of adversities today that are the direct result of Adam Sim and Sim passing down through all generations from thereafter. And look at the world today. It doesn’t look possible.

And of course it really isn’t until Christ comes back and he brings peace on the earth, because man in his nature just doesn’t allow for that. in his greed and his desire to make himself number one is causing all the dissension and problems in our world today. Well that’s how they are. We were so saturated with sin even you know that we can be we don’t have a clue. I agree. But I don’t know less but I appreciate that thought and I’m gonna think about it some more and I think it’s interesting like you said there’s light dark matter and hear the Bible clearly tells us that God is the one who created that.

That’s fascinating. And I would take it too as a…I mean, I’m a King James guy and I do believe that it’s perfect and it might set a little light on the definition of that word. All right, that’s it. Thank you very much. All right, you’re so welcome. I use the King James, but it’s not perfect. It’s not infallible. I believe there are words translated incorrectly, but it’s one of the better Bibles out there in spite of all that. The newer translations solve some problems and bring us new ones.

We have Antoine in Tampa, Florida, Antoine. Welcome to the Bible, and you’re on the air. Thank you very much for letting me go on. I am working on the project, Tiving. I believe the first person that go on Tiving was, and he was not under the law when he went and did that. That was something he done for volunteer, isn’t it? I believe, due to the fact that God promised that he was going to bless him. I find out when you are blessed and you recognize that God-blessing God, you return part of it in the form of tithing.

I think it is a concept that you can follow and see it is still in the New Testament. It is a New Testament concept when the Pharisee went and answered Jesus Christ and Jesus said, tell them hey you died for all of everything but you forget what is more important that how to say timing is important and uh… i agree with the point is not the tenth or how much which Abraham did but Do we give it as under the Old Testament law?

The tithe really became a part of the law from Mount Sinai and you were required to give that. Abraham, as you said, did it like we would do it today. He did it from the heart freely. Jacob Dow, he was a bargain hunter. He made a promise. He said, I’ll do this if you do this for me, God. And so he was not really giving with those strings attached. He had strings attached to his gift of tithing, where he wanted something back from God if he gave that gift.

But the point is not how much. In fact, Mr. Armor of Armor Meats was a Christian, and he gave 90% of the Lord and kept 10% for himself. So I think the amount is not really the issue here, you here, but do you give it as Mr. Armordin from the heart? He gave 90%. How much do you give? How much do you keep for yourself? When the widow gave her might in the New Testament, Christ said that she gave more than all the rich men in that time because she gave all her living.

She gave everything that she had. So she gave 100%. And that was really commended by the Lord as very special as this woman gave all she had, all her living was what she gave. So I don’t have a problem. Excuse me with tithing. I think really what we’re talking about, the difference between the tithes of the Old Testament under law and grace giving now is are you doing it from the heart because you want to because you love the Lord or do you feel constrained to do it?

And that’s the point. The credit was not at all tied, but it was, they were not forced by the law to do that. Yeah, that’s what I just said. And I agree. Except Jacob was a schemer. He made conditions on his tie. He said, I’ll give you this, but he wanted something back from God. Abraham did not try to make any deals. He just gave it from the heart. So Abraham only has a good, really illustration of, from the heart giving.

You want us to get a good point and I agree with you that we can you can tie but it should be under grace from the heart. Thank you very much. All right. Thank you very much to that was a good call. We have Elizabeth in St. Petersburg. Elizabeth, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello. Hi Elizabeth. Yes. I’m telling the earth about the tiredness. I’m being taught that. In fact, all the time I’ve been living trying to live with these little Lord and the teaching, the tide being a chill for your time and your talent God gives to you.

When you give and you fall upon hard times and you’re not able to give, does that restrain you from being a priest and still, this so devout that you give, this tenth in the churches that I’ve been taught here? Well, it has nothing to do with your salvation, Elizabeth. eternal life is God’s gift and he purchased it fully by Christ’s death and you’re giving to the Lord your tithe has nothing to do. It’s not what you do for God that saves, it’s what God did for us in Christ.

And tithing is really a way that we can express our gratitude, our thankfulness as we give of our time, our talents, our treasures as we tithe to the Lord. We’re showing him that we love him and are grateful. But it doesn’t purchase your salvation for you and it has nothing to do with whether you’re going to make heaven or not. If you’ve trusted Christ, it’s been your only hope of heaven, you’re going to heaven whether you tithe or not.

The dying thieves didn’t get a chance to tithe, did he? He just believed in Christ and today they’ll shoot me with me in paradise. Jesus didn’t say to the dying thief, I’m sorry, but you know you need to start tithing and it doesn’t look like you’re going to be able to do that. I do, but then there’s time come when I’m on a fixed info and I give when I have and And I don’t then you know I feel guilty because I give and I am a give I give all my time passing facts and goodness and Guilty God given me I use I feel but in just continuously given when you don’t have it and you make that sacrifice That’s what I’m trying to say.

I say well They say you got to give it regardless, you know if you don’t pay your bills even give it You know the call God will make a way I understand that I know that but then sometimes you do fall without being able to That’s right and I feel like and the Lord understands only with that and I don’t want that well God doesn’t want you to live with guilt And you don’t have to he’s fully forgiven you and you become his child a love you Just as much on Sunday as he does on Monday on Tuesday, Wednesday, and he loves you so much that he’s died for you Giving you the gift to me Yes, he has and I appreciate him so much and I honor him every day that I wake up and praise him.

Thank you so much. I learned so much and you’ll be time that I’ll be listening. So you be blessed and continue your greatest worry. Okay thank you Elizabeth. God bless you and thank you for calling in from St. Petersburg web David in St. Pete and David welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I don’t know if Obama or Hillary or any of those, in my opinion, any price. But if I were as a member of a minority, where 16,000 minorities were murdered in abortion, I think today, and 16 million total, and someone who wanted to be president, but that should be kept legal, good slavery than kept legal.

You think about that these people that they elect choose judges and judges review case law, and that’s how a role versus waking up, and that’s what I’m going to do. about just by judgment. I agree that we have a crazy time when we’re living in, we approve these things. We’re out of time. We have to go. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. Thank you all of you for who called.
