Well, we’re going to turn on our Bibles to John chapter 8. Most people do not rightly divide the Bible. And so when they approach the Bible, it all just gets mixed up and they find that they get confused and no wonder because it says in 2 Timothy 2, 15, study, to show thyself approved. Under God as a workman, a workman, not a bookworm, but a workman that means that they’re not a bookworm. needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing.

You have to separate. And one of the big areas of separation is between salvation, which is what God has done for us through Christ at the cross of Calvary, and then Christian service discipleship, where we then reciprocate and show our gratitude and our love by living for Christ. And this earns rewards. don’t get you to heaven or hell works determine what happens at destination. In other words, all believers according to the Bible, all those who put their trust in Jesus Christ as their only hope of heaven go to heaven.

All believers will stand in a judgment just for believers only, called the judgment seat of Christ where their works will be examined for degrees of reward in heaven or loss of reward. The unbeliever goes to hell because he’s rejected Christ, the only provision that God was made for anybody’s sin, and without Christ you can’t make heaven, so if you die without Christ you will go to hell. But guess what, there’s a special judgment for unbelievers. A thousand years later than the judgment I just mentioned, the great white-thrown judgment for unbelievers will have been held after the thousand-year room of Christ, and all unbelievers will be judged according to their works, and they’ll be assigned a degree of punishment accordingly and cast into the everlasting lake of fire.

So works determine degree of reward for the believer and works determine degree of punishment for the unbeliever. But if you go to heaven or you go to hell because of belief or unbelief, Jesus made it very clear in John 3 18, he says he the believer on Christ is not condemned. And then he says and he the believer not on Christ is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. So there you have the unpartable sin.

To die without Christ, to die in unbelief, to die rejecting Christ, will send you to hell. To believe on Christ means you’re not condemned and you will not be condemned now, nor ever in the future, and you’re saved forever once you trust Christ as Savior. John the Baptist said the same thing. If you look at John 336, Jesus there, a rather John the Baptist says, he the believer on the Son has everlasting life, present tense. He to believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

There you begin, you have two groups, those that believe and those that believe not. He to believeth on the Son has everlasting life, John the Baptist said. But he to believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. If you want to have God’s wrath fall upon you for all eternity, just die not trusting Christ as your Savior. But to go to heaven you must believe or trust on Christ as your only hope of heaven and the moment you do you become Savior you possess eternal life.

From the moment you believe that’s when you receive eternal life not after you die but at the moment you trust Christ. So if you’re a believer then your works will be examined one day for the degree of reward. Unbelievers will be judged by their works to determine degree of punishment. So your works have absolutely nothing to do with your destination. But it has everything to do with what happens at your destination. Amazingly, I hear so few or maybe none hardly preach that.

Yet the Bible is very clear. That salvation is not of works. It’s the gift of God. It’s none of yourself. It has nothing to do with anything that you or I do in the way of behavior, obedience, or anything that we could do that would be of ourselves. It’s the gift of God. He’s purchased by Christ’s death. And if you believe on Christ, you trust Him, you go to heaven. If you don’t, you go to hell. But your works then play an important role.

If you’re a believer, certainly you want to have reward in heaven. That comes by living for Christ after your same. If you die as an unbeliever, then your works will come to play. Some are going to be punished much worse than others. And so your good works will help you not be punished so badly. I don’t think I want that option at all. I’d rather go to heaven, wouldn’t you? And you can if you only trust Jesus as your Savior.

Jesus said in John chapter 8, verse 24, I said, therefore unto you, Christ said, that you shall die in your sins, for if you believe not that I am, you shall die in your sins. Now that phrase, I am, is God’s personal name. It is the name that God used when He appeared to Moses in Exodus chapter 3 at the burning bush. When Moses asked God, what is your name? God said I am. He doesn’t say I was. He said, I have been God.

Or I shall be. I’m aspiring to be gone. He said I am. And you know, God who is the creator of time and space, the four dimensions that you and I live in lives outside those dimensions. And whenever he intercepts time, he always intercepts it in the present tense. When ever God appears, whether it be the Moses at the burning bush or Jesus in John 8, he said, I am. And this is a title of deity. This is Jesus saying that I’m God.

And if you reject the deity of Christ, you shall die in your sins. Let me read that verse again, John 824. Jesus said, I said therefore unto you that you shall die in your sins, for if you believe not that I am, you shall die in your sins. What is he saying? If you don’t recognize that Jesus Christ is God who came and took on human flesh in order to go to the cross to pay for your sin, you will die in your sins.

That means you’ll die having your sins count against you, you’ll go to hell. If you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you’re forgiven of your sin and you receive the wonderful gift of everlasting life. Well Jesus went on to say here in these verses as he talked about that he was the I.M. It says in verse 28 then said Jesus under them, when you have lifted up the Son of Man, that’s referring to him being lifted up on the cross and crucified for you and me.

When you have lifted up the Son of Man then show you know that I.M. Verse 28 says the same thing as verse 24, then they will know that He is I Am. And it says then in verse 30, and as He spake these words, many believed on Him. As He spake these words, many, many believed on Him. They got saved. They trusted Christ. The word believed there is the Greek word pestuo, p-i-s-t-e-u-o. It means to trust, to rely upon, to put your confidence in the rest your weight upon, when you fully trust Jesus alone as your Savior.

God saves you. And here it says many that we’re listening to him here. Many, as he speak these words, many believed on him. They trusted on him. By the way, this word believe occurs in the Gospel of John over 100 times. Let me throw on a challenge to you. Read the Gospel of John. Mark the word, believe, believe it, that all of its forms. And count them and see if you can get the correct number. Don’t use a concordance or some other aid or tool.

And I’ll tell you, it’s over 100. I’m not going to give you the exact number. But if you think you finally have got the right number on how many times the word, believe, occurs in the Gospel of John, give me a call and I’ll tell you whether you got it right. Would you do that so that others don’t hear just whispered my ear and say, I think this is the correct number and I’ll tell you. But you know, it’s over a hundred.

What I want to get across here is that the word believe is significant in the New Testament. We hardly hear it used anymore. And here they believe they trusted on Christ is really the better English word. And then I want you to notice that you rightly divide. Are you ready with your pen? Are you rightly dividing with me? Verse 31 says, then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, and now if you’ll just draw a little slant, a little forward slash, he now addresses a new audience.

Those that had heard him and believed are now saved, and now he says to them, if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed. He doesn’t say, if you continue in my word you’re going to be saved. is not based upon our continuing anything. Salvation is not a process. It’s not an ongoing keep on keeping on type of a thing. It’s a once and for all thing. The Bible says when you trust Christ, you’re safe forever.

It’s that you holding on, keeping on, continuing to climb and gain new heights every day as you’re on your upper way. That’s what I I was taught when I was a young person, but that’s not what the Bible teaches. But here Jesus says to those who had believed those who became safe, who are safe now eternally, he says, if you continue in my Word, then are you my disciples? A disciple is one who is a follower of Christ who follows Christ in pursuit of becoming a fisher of men.

Christ said, follow me and I’ll make you fishers of men. So a disciple is a learner, one who is following Christ in pursuit of becoming that fisher of men that Christ invited his disciples to become. And so if you’re a disciple, you should be fishing for men, leading the loss to Christ. But if you’re simply saved and do nothing, you’ll still be saved. And I’m not encouraging people to do nothing. But to do something to be saved means you won’t be saved at all.

That’s why it’s so important to make a point out of this, because as long as you’re trusting in anything other than Christ, you’re not trusting Christ. Let me give you an illustration. Let’s say you step out of the doctor, out of the doctor. There’s a small boat there. You put one foot on the boat. Are you trusting the boat? The answer is no. You still have a foot on the dock. Let’s say that you put both feet on the boat, but you have two hands on the piling there at the dock.

Are you trusting the boat? The answer is no. You still have two arms wrapped around that piling and you’re trusting the dock really. Should the boat sink or turn over, you’ve got that grip on the dock. Let’s say that you put both feet on the boat And you have just one hand attached to one of those rope anchors on the edge of the dock. Are you trusting the boat? The answer is no. You’re not trusting the boat until you put all of your weight.

You completely cut yourself loose from the dock and you fully trust the boat to hold all of your weight. You’re not trusting the boat. And the same thing is true with those who claim to be Christians. As long as you have a foot or a hand on the dock, you’re not trusting the boat. So when you say you’re trusting Christ and yet you still have a hand on baptism, church membership, living the Christian life and other things that you’re trusting in, you’re not trusting Christ.

You’re not trusting Christ. You see, until you step off of the dock and totally allow the boat to hold you, you’ve never trusted the boat. And a lot of people say I’ve trusted Jesus, but they haven’t because they’re still trusting. They got lines going back to the dock of prayer and fasting and church membership and leading the Christian line and all these ropes they think will keep them secure. My friend, you’ve never trusted Christ. Can you hear me? You’ve never trusted Christ.

Let me say that it would never again. You’ve never trusted Christ until you cut all lines to the dock. He sever all ties to the dock. You take all of your weight and trust off of the dock and you commit it totally to the little boat to hold you. Until then you’ve never trusted the boat until you’ve done that with Christ. You’ve never trusted Christ. And my friend, you will not be saved. I’m Dr. Hank Vincent. This is ByBlind and we are now going to go to our phone lines.

You’re welcome to dial us up here. The number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Alright we’re going to first I think grab a few off-air questions we have here. Let’s see here. John, I don’t know if I’m pronouncing that right, maybe Janna from Nassau, New York. She leaves this off her question. My friend loves the book, God wrote only the Bible. What are your thoughts on this book and do you have it in your bookstore? We don’t have it in the bookstore.

I think we did it one time, but it’s a very good book and I would recommend it highly that there’s only one Bible. The other books that are out there, the Quran and other books are totally false and are not from God. The Bible is uniquely written by God through men and demonstrates that it’s the Word of God as well as claims to be the Word of God as it tells the future before it happens. It’s accurate no matter what topic it talks about and that’s exciting.

Well we have here an unknown question coming in, they want to remain anonymous I guess, says I’m reading Matthew, it seems that Jesus was worried when he was about to be crucified if his death was the plan of God, why did he worry like a human? Well you know if you go to the Garden of Gethsemane when Christ agonized, obviously he knew what he was about to experience. And yes, as a human he shuttered the thought of suffering and dying in that way.

Not only the fact of the physical suffering, but also of the spiritual suffering as he would be cut off from God. This one who is sinless would actually die to take our sins upon himself and pay for them by his death. And so he said, Lord, if it be your will, let it be so. But if there be another way, he wanted to say, let’s not do it this way. And he prayed three times there in the garden. But he was willing to submit himself to die for you and for me.

I hope that helps answer that question for you. We’re going to get a Brian and Tampa. Brian is on the phone line and Brian, welcome to Bibleline. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hello. Hey, Brian. Hey, Dr. Hank. Yeah. Hey, good morning, God bless. My question is, it’s about salvation. I’m born again, and I just have to say, if one can never lose a salvation, two things. The law on you can’t be my disciple, and you’re not worthy of me and i know what you say would be you know you just You’re discipleship and you reward.

But the other thing is, what about the scripture that says, you know, once someone has tasted and part taken of the Holy Spirit, which would mean they would have had to have been saved, and then and then they trampoline how can they want to be how can they okay but you know i don’t understand right you make some several things up but let me just kind of go through that first of all if you love me keep my commandments uh…

you don’t have to love god to be saved that might sound awful hard and cruel and uh… but it’s true uh… it’s not our love for god that saves in fact A lot of times we hear that type of expression that God loves you and you need to love God. But guess what? In the book of Revelation along with the many things that could cause you to be lost, it says who is to ever love us. The fact that you love God does not save you.

You have to trust that Christ died and paid for your sin. I think believers, there are many of them that don’t appreciate what God has done and don’t love him. They don’t keep their commandments, but we are saved the moment we trust Christ. If you don’t keep these commandments, it shows that you just don’t love Him. That’s unfortunate, but there are believers who don’t love the Lord. When Jesus healed the Ten Reppers, how many of them really came back and thanked Him?

Only one. Christ said, where are the other nine? Didn’t I heal ten? The other nine went their way and didn’t even care, apparently, enough to come back and say thank you Lord for healing my body. And we as believers ought to say thank you Lord for saving my soul. Thank you Lord for making me whole because we are saved by the blood of Christ. Those other passages are in the book of Hebrews. Let me recommend to you my Hebrew series.

I did 10 hours of teaching on Hebrews that are available for you in CD and we go through all the difficult passages. And it says that in Hebrews chapter 10 that if you don’t live for the Lord as a believer, then you are doing despite to the Spirit of Grace, whereby you have been saved and you actually will incur God’s discipline upon your life. It sees in Hebrews 12, 8, if you be without chastisement or discipline, where of all his sons or partakers, you are a bastard and not a son.

In other words, you can’t live as you please without God disciplining you. Now he will never send you to hell, but he might take you home to heaven early. And that whole chapter is talking about that in Hebrews chapter 10. So once you get saved, you’re saved forever. And to be a disciple is not the same thing as being saved. Being saved is what God has done for you in Christ. And when you trust him, he saves you forever.

But then, after you’re saved, as you live for it, you’ll earn rewards by being in a disciple and that’s the second decision to believe we’re faced with. Sure good to have you, folks, at Miami listing. Thank you for tuning in to the podcast down there in Miami. And we hope to be there for a long time. We need your help though because we are all listed supported. Could you help us? Folks at Miami gives a call and maybe can tell us your praying for us and if you can, give a gift by credit card here to Bible.

We’re going to have to say goodbye to you and then we’ll go ahead and continue with our other folks here. But thank you Brian for that call. I hope that helps. Now we’re going to go to Brother Atwell and he’s in for the Sasa Florida. Brother Atwell, welcome to Bible End. Yes sir, good morning. Good morning to you. Yes sir. Please not call.

They love this show because they love the sins and the world more than they love God. So they feel like they’re happy. You know when they leave your show they feel like well, you know, I can I can keep my son as and be all right. And so that’s what’s happening in our church. That’s why churches are filling up. They’re not preaching the true word of God like they used to and they left the churches for 25, 30 years.

because of they didn’t want to hear they didn’t want to be offended by the word of God see the one of God of pension get out of penalty then there’s something wrong is already used to say I come to church to be offended to get my my total stepped on well I think we’ll ask our audience that question maybe in the second half I’ll call back and tell us why they listen to my mind and why they like to show I think your conclusion that they just want to live in sin.

in is a wrong conclusion. We’ve got to go to break here. We’re going to come back into a second half hour Bibleline. Good to hear that voice again from Buddha out well. But eternal life is a gift and it doesn’t matter what anybody thinks. It’s what God says. It’s important and God’s word is not going to change and we’re excited about the Bible being the Word of God. We’re now going to go to our break time. We’ll come right back into a second half hour Bible and so continue listening right here to the Bibleline program.

So take advantage of the opportunity to come on the third Sunday and join our worship services and stay for the dinner that will follow, and we hope you will. Well, our last call of this last hour apparently was trying to say that we actually encourage people to live as they please. You know, Paul was accused of that. I hope you’re listening, Brother Outwell, because in Romans chapter 3, whenever the true message of the gospel is preached, this is the accusation that comes up.

And Paul responded to it and here Paul speaks for us too here at Bible Ed because he very clearly in the first three chapters of Romans thought that no works were a part of the salvation plan. It was totally without works. He says here in verse 8, and not rather, as we be slandversely reported as, and as some have a firm that we say, let us do evil the good may come. Paul says whose damn nation is just. Paul got slammed and said, people were saying that Paul is teaching that you can go on and do evil and good will come.

That’s what happens when you preach the true message and Paul was assaulted in that way. Let me read that again to you, brother out well. It says that not rather as we be slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say, let us do evil that good may come, whose damnation is just, you know, if you think you have to behave or change your life or stop sitting to be safe, that’s works. And you won’t be saved. And here the Bible is saying, Paul is saying, whose damnation is just, you’ll stand before God and be cast into hell because you were trying to be good or to live your life in a certain way to get to heaven when the message of the gospel is that Jesus painted all.

And Paul says here in Romans 1 and 16, I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The good news of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection for it, the gospel is the power of God in the salvation to everyone that believes. Can you believe the gospel? You become saved. And then to say that we’re teaching you can live as you please, Paul says that’s a slander. That’s not what we’re teaching. And certainly we’re not encouraging people to do that. We’re saying if you try to live as you please, God will punish you.

But it will never be helped. We thank you for that call, brother, at Well, and I hope you’re still listening out there. We now have Geno in Tampa. We have collars from all over the place that we’ll try to get to you as quickly as we can. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Yes. I think we, Christian, for many years, felt that when we die, we’ll become angels. Many people have talked that, heard that before. We’ll be angels and we’ll have wings.

But then we’ll find out, of course, that now angels don’t have one anyway. So I’m going to ask you about our most attention, inhabiting our own earth. I’ll tell you that. that i want to go see someone thought about that person that’s what i want to go i would get automatically appear there uh… so if they’re eating pictures that cause how we would travel on the list certainly uh… men never become angels we become the sons of god the bible says which places us higher than the angels and the angel in heaven will uh…

wait on us they will be our servants So we are really special it says in 1 John chapter 3 Beloved behold what manner of love the Father hath beset upon us that we should be called the sons of God Hebrews 1 5 tells us that God never ever called an angel his son So we become higher than the angels and angels will become ministry spirits to all of us who are believers forever in heaven That’s gonna be great and as far as how we are transported about I don’t know But there’s some qualities about our resurrection bodies, just like when Christ after he died, he just could come through a closed wall or a locked door into the room where the disciples were and he just passed right through the wall.

And I think that we’re going to find ourselves traveling easily and maybe just by thought we will be there. I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see Gino. That I don’t know the answer to, but we’ll see. We now have a caller, Fred in Tampa, Florida. Fred, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Fred, welcome to Bibleline. Hello, Hank. How are you doing? Good. First of all, I’d like to say I don’t think I’ve ever heard you one time say that a person can trust Christ and go out and live any way they want you.

I’ve never heard you say that in 15 years that I’ve known you. Well, I’ve never said it. Second of all, I’d like to refer our brother back to the New Testament just because it seems like some Christian grace. It doesn’t mean that we change the message. Our brother to Galatians. I would refer our brother to Romans. And I would suggest our brother go back and read the New Testament, but this poem, read it with your eyes open because the The Christians back in those days, they had plenty of problems.

Told them to doubt their salvation. He never said, you’re going to go to hell if you don’t straighten up. He gave them instruction and he gave them warning. Mostly what the epistles were all about is correcting the early Christians. They had serious problems and we still have the same problems today but does not mean that we change the gospel message because there is a curse associated with changing the gospel message. People need to read Galatians 1 and read it real carefully and that’s all I listen to you.

Alright. Thank you so much. I was friend and Tampa and obviously the gospel message is one not of works but it doesn’t mean that you’re to conclude that you can live any way you please. The Bible very clearly holds us accountable for reward. We started off this program today by talking about believers having their words examined at the judgment of Christ and whether you have rewards and have an or loss of rewards is going to be based upon what you have done since you’ve been saved.

But your salvation is always free. We’re now going to Andrea in Lakeland, Florida and Andrea, welcome to Bibleline You’re On There. I just wanted to have a comment on the color before your break why so many people listen to your show. Basically my opinion is why I listen is because you’re a very good Bible teacher. To read your Bible yourself and you don’t want to sin after you’re saved. You want to make yourself better. The Holy Ghost is so cute aside not to sin.

Well, you’re exactly right. The Holy Spirit comes into the believer. You have a brand new nature which now desires to live for God and please God. And the Holy Spirit in you gives you the power to be able to have victory over sin in your life and we’re certainly never encouraged to go out and sin. And Paul got in the same situation I get in sometimes and that is people would accuse Paul and they would slander him by saying that he said, let’s go ahead and do evil.

Good may come. Paul said, I’ve never said that and they’re not listening. They’re hearing what they want to hear. And obviously, we encourage people to live for Christ, and that’s what everybody brought to do, but not to be say but because we are safe. I want to thank you very much for your show, and I think it’s wonderful, and I hope more people listen and read the Bible. Thank you, Andrew. I sure appreciate that call from Lakeland, Florida. We are now going to go to John in Eustace, Florida, and John welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air yes that’s why I got pleasure but what’s the about look check verse forty hundred fifty speaking about one test about the events did you look like that to me i’ll give it a good try Luke chapter nine and if i heard you write its uh…

verse forty nine let’s see here look nine moments there Luke 9, and it says here, in Luke 9 verse 49, let’s see here, I’m almost there. Luke 9, 49, says, well, he had spanked, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house saying unto him, my daughter is dead, trouble not thy master. When Jesus heard it, he answered saying, Fear not, believe only, and she shall be made whole. And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in.

Say Peter, James and John, and sent the father and the mother and the maiden, and the father and the mother of the maiden. And all wept and be wailed her because he said, Weep not. But he said, Weep not because she is not dead, but sleep it. And they left him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. And he put him all out and took her by the hand and called, made, orized. And her spirit came again and she straight away arose and he commanded to give her meat and so on and so here.

He brought her back from the dead. What is the question there? Is that what chapter 9? Yeah. In verse 49 and 50? Yes. He almost broke down the wrong verse. I’m not sure if he got the wrong script. Okay, pull me back and we’ll go ahead and get the one you were thinking about. The Christ theoros I led raised this girl from the dead. We now have Harold in Tampa, Florida, and Harold, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Good morning, sir. It’s always a pleasure. Thank you. Yes, Mr. Ben. He had the opposite of a water work for Christ knowing that he paid the price. The question is, I was talking to a gentleman and he said, he’s physical heaven. It was only a God gave Moses the pick when he went out and he filled. Alright, well there certainly is a physical heaven and I like to go to John 14 and Jesus there said, in my father’s house are many mansions.

And he said, if we’re not so, I would have told you but I go to prepare a place for you. He didn’t say I go to prepare a state of mind for you or something else, but he talks about a physical place that we’re going to go to one day and he says, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself where I am there, you may be also. So heaven definitely is a real place and the New Jerusalem where we’re going to live one days.

He is described very well in Revelation chapter 21 where we have the dimensions of the heavenly city. We have a description of the streets made of gold and the foundations of the city, the walls, the 12 gates and so on and so on. And that’s where we’re going to live for all eternity. Certainly it’s not a state of mind, but this is a real place. The Bible says that when we die, 2 Corinthians 5, 8, we’re absent from the body.

We’re present with the Lord, so we’ll be immediately present in heaven with the Lord, and we’ll enjoy that heavenly city forever and ever and ever. Thank you so much, Harold. I appreciate that call. And like you said, the program here in hearing salvation by grace didn’t cause you to go out and live as you please, but rather you chose to live for Christ. As a result, I certainly think that that’s what happens to the majority. We’re now going to go to Larry in Manson or Mason rather, Michigan.

Larry, welcome to my blind. You are on the air. Yes, thank you brother. Then some going to address the question that that brother atwell talked about and I was thinking at the time about the relation chapter five and chapter six. Yeah, the Lord in spirit inspired John. John Paul’s right about liberty. You are calling liberty only to use not liberty for a location to see him. And further on he lists the works of the flesh and then he works the spirit.

Thanks for this period and in the sixth chapter tells you about if you find a brother who is following that year to and encouraging and bringing back Am I right You’re absolutely You’re absolutely right. And obviously this book tells us that yes, we have liberty. We are completely set free once we get saved because we can’t go to hell from that point on. not to use our liberty for an excuse to do evil, but we’re to use it for the glory of the Lord.

And here it talks about us not wanting to go after the works of the flesh, which will bring obviously chaos into our life, but to live for the Lord and have the fruit of the spirit manifest in our life, which is love, and joy, and peace, and happiness, and long suffering, gentleness, and so on. And in chapter 6, as you said, to restore those that have wandered astray as believers, to get them back on track so that they can receive the blessings that come by living for Christ after you become saved.

But you’re right on track there, Larry, and thank you for coming. And then I want to mention one thing in the last verses, Paul wrote, God forbid the the dark lower is saved in the cross of the lower Jesus Christ. Amen. I believe that. That’s really what our theme should be, is the cross of Christ. And that’s what Paul was after. He wanted more than anything not to build a huge megachurch, but to get people saved to teach them how to grow and enjoy the blessings of living for Christ.

We’re now going to Eugene in Lansing, Michigan and Eugene welcome the Bible on your own ear. Yeah, good morning, I think. Good morning. I just wanted to thank you so much for your For your remarks on Calvinism. Yes. Our church just went through that thing and it just destroyed our congregation and other churches are having problems with that same question on Calvinism. I think some pastors seem to be fearful to address this for fear of a thing. I’m sure of offending their pastor friends who are 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5-point Calvin.

But I just want to thank you for the comments that you had on that. well you’re very welcome and you know i think it really is a very uh… destructive doctrine because uh… certainly uh… i would stop today uh… serving if i thought it was already predetermined what i was going to do and the results of what i did were all pretty determined but that is the case got once to use each and every one of us and and our uh…

people do have choice and we’re to bring the gospel to them and the Y of ins lines if that weren’t true it would be a table of terrible waste of our time. We had a pastor for many years and finally he went into this Calvinism saying that he had been in light and so long as we believed it. Oh my goodness. Yeah. Well that is sad in the end. Maybe statement from the pulpit to the staff who believed that God could get glory out of sending people to hell.

If you can imagine. I can’t imagine that at all. God’s desire is not that any would perish. It says in 2 Peter 3, but he wants all to come to a change of mind and and we’re already headed for help but God and his love has provided a Savior and Whosoever would put their trust in Christ would not perish but have eternal life And that’s the love of God and now once everybody becomes saved He said all don’t mean all.

What else? I can’t imagine what all would mean if it didn’t mean all. We’re touching on that. Well thank you Eugene and God bless you. Thank you for listening up there in the capital of Michigan in Lansing, Michigan. We have Carl, that in Riverview, Florida and Carl welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Oh yeah, I just want to make a comment. It’s amazing how much detail you give when you talk a lot of people really just don’t want the truth.

And you give details, you give scripture. And I hear a guy like something he asked if he wanted to get your comment on that. It’s to the point where I hear people challenge you, you give them accurate at the same time. They just don’t tell anybody to go out and say and live as they please. Yet they want to accuse you of that like they did at Paul. It’s because they really don’t want the truth. and they want to accept what they’ve been taught, whatever, how long they’ve been living, and they don’t want to change the truth, but you don’t want them, and a lot of people are going to wind up in hell.

All right, thank you, Carl. You know, I think a lot of people already have made up their mind, and they don’t want to be confused by the Bible. In fact, from the Bible, it differs from what they’ve been taught all their life, and so they feel comfortable where they are. And they might be wrong and they might wind up in hell as you say. I think they need to listen carefully what the Bible says and maybe if they haven’t understood the gospel yet, the trust the Lord and that is the trust Him alone as the only means of heaven.

We have Janice in Michigan in Okemus. I’m not too sure how to pronounce that but I hope it’s right and Janice, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Dennis are you there? Yes I am. OK. Yes, I passed it. Real quick question, I know it’s getting short. Charles Spurgeon was a five point Calvinist. Is he a great preacher or a false teacher? Well, he had a lot of things wrong there that I don’t agree with. I have all of his writings, but I’m not too impressed.

I believe he made some big errors there in buying the Calvinistic doctrine. And that really is a perverse everything that you touch after that. If you read the Bible through the eyes of Calvinism, you’re going to come out slanting verses in a different way than they’re meant to be. And obviously, especially in a perseverance of the saints, which tells you that you have to look for evidence, that you have to persevere to the day you die to go to heaven, which which works and it just is very sad.

So I have his books, but I don’t spend any time really delving into the works of him. So thank you for that call. I have a lot of books in fact, but a lot of them I don’t think are worth the paper they’re printed on. And we have Vincent now in Tampa, Florida and Vincent. No Vincent has moved away and let’s see who we do have now. This is by the line and I’m Dr. Engvenstrom and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida.

And we certainly appreciate you being on the air with us every day and thank you for listening. This is Friday, but we will be back on Monday live and in the meantime you can hear us on the Internet over the weekend. Good to Bibleline Ministries, and you’ll find that you can click on that spinning globe, and you can obviously hear the program’s 24-7. Okay, we have now Janice waiting in Michigan, and Janice, welcome to Bibleline. Thank you, Dr. Hundt.

I am calling just to point out that I believe the gentleman that called and wanted you to read from Luke 949 and 50, you accidentally read from Luke 849 and 50. Oh my goodness, well, what do you know? And I would be so interested in hearing what you have to say in Luke 949 and 50, which is what I believe the gentleman was referring to. And thank you for your wonderful ministry. I’ll hang up now. All right. Thank you so very much.

And I wish I had time to do that. I’ll have to do that Monday because we are just out of time. I have to run. Again, I hope that every one of you will pray for Bible and if you can give to Bible and help us call and maybe you can give a gift by credit card over the phone, that would be great. And if not, pray for us for sure. If you look it up, Jesus is coming. We’ll be back on Monday.
