Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Monday through Friday’s we come to you live from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.
Great to be with you. Thanks for tuning in. We’d love to meet you. If you get a chance to come by, please do our resource centers open every day until about 4.30 in the afternoon. If you cannot come by then you can go to the internet and catch our resource center online. Just go to BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the online bookstore. Also, we are having our classes tonight in 2 Peter. That’s from 7 to 9 if you’re in driving distance.
Come on out and sit in as we teach class 5 and 6 in a 10 hour series. On 2 Peter, I think you’re going to enjoy this series. You can order it on CD or on DVD when we complete the 10-hour series, which will be in two more Tuesdays after tonight. Three Tuesdays left to go tonight and then two more weeks and we’ll finish up second Peter. We already have first Peter done. You can order that on CD or DVD.
Again, this is a great series and certainly people today need to know what Peter had to say because so much teaching today that even claims to be centered on the succession of teachings of Peter have severely departed from what Peter taught. You’ll find the great series. We hope you’ll come in person if you’re in the area. And of course you can always get the series on CD or DVD. This Sunday will be our third Sunday dinner and we’re going to invite you to come and be here at our 1030 service and then stay for the wonderful meal afterward.
You’re welcome to join us for that dinner. It’ll be at 1030 for the service and then the dinner will follow when the service concludes. We’ll head to our educational building there. We’ll have lots of great food and it’ll be a great time of fellowship, a great time to get to meet one another and I hope you’ll come and join us for that. If you want to come early, I have a class at 915 that I teach plus we have another adult class and classes for all the children and so on.
That’s at 915 at 1030, the morning worship will begin and then we’ll have an interwoven the service ends. By the way, we’re thinking about Israel. It looks like most people are telling us that they’d like to go in February of next year and so that looks like what we’ll do and we’ll leave probably about mid-February and go for two weeks. It’s only 10 days if you do the Israel-only part, but if you want to take that 5-day option before that, you would wind up going with me to Egypt, to Cairo, to the pyramids.
We’ll get a chance to go inside the great pyramid if you’d like. We’ll see the Sphinx. We’ll see lots of things right there where there’s a dozen or more pyramids, but there are three large ones that are quite significant. We’ll also see the Cairo Museum filled with artifacts, a hundred thousand artifacts, including mummies, not only of humans, but animals, and there’ll be the treasures of King Tut and so many things to see. It’ll just leave you in awe as you see all these treasures of Egypt.
We’ll have a dinner cruise on the Nile River. be a nice evening out and a wonderful meal and the city lights of Cairo. It’s the largest city on the continent of Africa. Cairo is the big city and we’ll have a great time. We’ll drive to Elot on the Red Sea. A great beautiful vacation spot, a city of Israel and people come there from all over the world. To Scuba dive, to Jet Ski, to Water Ski, to enjoy the sunshine, the beaches, and we’ll get a chance to look at the fishes in the Red Sea.
They have a pier that goes out in a lot into the Red Sea, and you go out about a half a mile, and all of a sudden you go down to this glass enclosure. Where we the tourists are enclosed in the glass and the fish are free in their natural environment in the Red Sea and they peer in to look at us as we look out at them. It’s kind of fun telling you neat Israel’s sure as clever, aren’t they?
I think that’s the neat way to do it where you can actually see the fish in their environment in the Red Sea. We’re then going to drive over to Petra, the rock city where the Jewish people will flee from the Antichrist, while that is quite an experienced 40 square miles of city. carved out of the rock that lay undiscovered for almost 2,000 years until a British archaeologist named Burkhardt. We discovered it to the world in around 1850. What a treasure is called now, one of the modern seven wonders of the world.
Truly I think you’ll agree once you go there. One of the Indiana Jones films was filmed there in Petra. We’ll come back to a lot, spend the night and drive to Israel and meet the group that be arriving from the states that will do just the Israel portion. So it gives you some flexibility and we show them the heavy cum. You can do a 10-day trip or you can do a total 15-day trip. If you take the option go with me to Egypt and Jordan and Elot.
Otherwise the rest of the group will only tour Israel without the southern portion of Elot and the Egyptian and Jordanian part. give you a Bible, we’ll get into it, otherwise we’re going to jump into the Bible, then we’ll think our callers, if you’d like to call them, the number is 1-800-576-3771. Well this weekend is Passover as the Jewish people go by the biblical calendar, the lunar calendar and this Sunday will be Passover and actually be the 19th. So this is really the time when Jesus would have been crucified and it’s interesting to think about that all over again that Jesus Christ died as the Passover Lamb.
What I find interesting is that every year the Jewish people are celebrating Passover, but guess what? They don’t talk about the Lamb and they don’t talk about the blood. In the Passover, if you read Exodus, they were to take the blood of the slain Lamb and apply it to their Dorpost. And then when the angel of the Lord came through Egypt at midnight, he would pass over in judgment all the homes that had applied the blood. Well nothing today in the celebration is about the blood.
The Jewish people do nothing to relive the part of the blood or the sacrifice of the lamb. It simply is a dried up ritual where they have forgotten the center of the Passover was the lamb that was the Passover lamb. And without the lamb, without the blood, there can be no forgiveness of sin. In Leviticus 1711 Moses said, The life of the flesh is in the blood. You know, what an amazing scientific statement. That was written thousands of years ago and only rather recently have we discovered that the life of our flesh is in our blood.
You know from Aristotle on down, men taught that the body was bisected into two parts, left side and the right side and the blood in the body flowed independently from one side to the other side and that basically the head was like the radiator on your car, the place where I guess things cooled off. And basically if you had diseases or health problems, it was caused by demons or evil spirits in your blood and so they would, in ancient days, if you got sick and you went of the doctor, he would prescribe a beating.
So they would flog you. Wouldn’t that be nice? He didn’t feel too well and you go to the doctor and say, Doc, what do I need? Well, let’s go ahead and flog you for a while. So they’d pee up on you and you feel worse when you get all done. But suppose we’d drive out the evil diseases and evil spirits. Then of course, men advanced and they came along with bloodletting. They said, it’s an easier way. Let’s just cut you and let you bleed.
And so even as little as a couple hundred years ago, our first president died because of that practice. You know, George Washington, we are told, contracted double pneumonia. They called the best physicians we had in our country to his side and they prescribed bloodletting. That’s right. And according to records, they drained out three pints of blood from George Washington. Today we know medically looking back George died because of a loss of blood. He could have possibly survived if these doctors hadn’t had at him.
Isn’t that a tragedy? Our first president? I actually died because of bloodletting. You know, in those days the barber would help out and that’s why you have the red striped on the barber shops in the ancient days and of course even up until today. And a reminder how the they would cut your wrist and it was very scientific they thought they would drain out a certain amount of your right wrist, measure it, then they would cut your other wrist and drain out an equal amount because they didn’t want you to walk lopsided because the blood on the left side of your body flowed independently from the blood on your right side and if you drained out a pine on the right side you needed to drain out a pine on the left side.
Aren’t you glad the doctors today don’t do that. My goodness. And it wasn’t that long ago. Just our first president died of bloodletting. Today it’s all changed, hasn’t it? You go to the doctor’s office and that nurse comes up with a big smile and she reaches out to grab your hand and you think she’s gonna shake it being friendly. And all of a sudden she stabs into your finger and you’re bleeding. And she takes that blood and smears it on a piece of glass and they run into the room where the microscope is and they look in there and they come out and they say, oh my goodness, now we know why you’re sick.
Look at all those things crawling around in your blood. Well obviously they looked at your blood to determine your health. First thing the doctor wants to do is do some butt work doesn’t he? Well that’s the way it’s changed and now instead of draining your blood out they put fluid in. You know it’s unfashionable to be in the hospital and not have an IV hooked up to you. They always want to hook one of those things. The first thing they like to do is that theirs comes in and tries to find a vein in your arm and they get this IV all taped up to you and then they hook a bag up on a on a pole and they let that stuff drip drip drip drip drip down inside of you.
So they don’t drain it out, they put more fluid in. Things are really reversible. It says them in Vatican 1711, write it down. Thousands of years ago, the life of the flesh is in the blood. The life of the flesh is in the blood. Isn’t it amazing? God knew that. The Bible taught it. And yet science didn’t discover it until rather recently. And as recently He is George Washington. Our first president died because they didn’t believe that. And they drained the blood out of George Washington.
And that’s really the reason why he probably died. Well you know, today we’re catching up with the Bible scientifically. But that wonderful verse says, and I’ve given it to you, the blood that is, upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls for it says, in Leviticus 1711, for the blood, the blood, the blood is the atonement for the soul. Interestingly, the Jewish people, and I have led many Jewish people to Christ, and we have many in our Church that are members that are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Messiah.
But you know, when they observe the Passover as unbelievers, as Jews that have not accepted their Messiah, they don’t talk about the blood anymore. They don’t even really talk about the lamb anymore. They talk about the Egypt experience of being delivered from slavery and how they came out of Egypt, they talk about the bitterness of that experience and the bitter herbs and the other things that they have at the Passover meal, but I’m afraid the real heart of the message that of a lamb being taken and slain in this blood being applied to the doorpost is not even talked about today.
Amazing isn’t it? But you know, that’s what it’s all about. And so if you’re Jewish or if you’re talking to somebody who’s Jewish, you need to bring up the blood and say, where is your blood sacrifice? Moses taught Leviticus 1711. It’s the blood that makes it atonement for your soul and the Jewish people have an offer to a blood sacrifice for 2,000 years. What are they going to do? How will their sins be taken care of? They have no atonement for their sin because the blood is the atonement.
Read Leviticus 1711. The life of the flesh is in the blood. God says, I’ve given it to you upon the altar to make an Atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes it an Atonement for your soul. Great question. And of course the answer is Jesus came at first, says in 1 Corinthians 5, 7, for even Christ our Passover, our Passover, our Passover is sacrificed for us. Jesus died as the Passover Lamb. all that apply, His blood, His blood, His blood, by faith, trusting that that blood He had our sin debt and full and washed our sins away.
All that apply the blood of Jesus Christ by faith, when God comes in judgmental one day, God will pass over all those that have applied the blood of Jesus, the Passover Lamb. Right that verse down, 1st grade, means 5’7, for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. And when you apply His blood by faith, trusting that He died and shed His blood for you, was buried and then rose again from the dead. God, my friend, will pass over you in judgment and you will enter heaven, and you will live with the Lord forever and ever.
But if you die without the blood of Christ, having washed away your sin, you will not enter heaven. That is so sad, especially. As I know Jewish families around the world will be celebrating Passover this weekend. Yet they’ll not talk about the lamb, they’ll not talk about the blood. And they haven’t offered a blood sacrifice since 8070 when the first temple, rather the second temple was destroyed, the temple called Herod’s temple. And the reason why Jesus of course came and God said this temple is going to be destroyed and it was destroyed.
We’re coming close to the Rapture and I believe that the second time Christ’s return will come back is coming soon and there’ll be a third temple built and Christ will come back to a standing temple. I think we’re close because those stones are already cut and things are prepared for Christ’s return. We’re living in exciting days. I hope you’ve trusted that Christ shed his blood for your sin when you trust him as Because your only hope of heaven that he died in tennis blood and paid your sin, bent and full, was buried in rose again from the dead God saves you.
I’m Dr. Engvenstrom and this is Bibleline and we’re going to go to the phone calls right now and we have Annette calling in from Tampa, Florida and Annette. Welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. Hi. How are you? Good. I have a question about the 144,000 that it speaks of in Revelation. Sure. simply explain from the biblical scriptural standpoint who they are, what they’re for, and then compare that with the era that the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach about the 144,000.
I’ll be happy to do that. Thank you. Now let’s off the phone. Thank you. Okay. Thank you. That was the net in Tampa, asking about the 144,000. Well, if you look at Revelation 7 verse 4, it says, I heard the number of them that were sealed and there was sealed 140 and 4000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel. So you have to be Jewish to be one of the 144,000 and the Joe’s witnesses are not Jewish, so obviously they don’t qualify, they don’t seem to pay attention to the Bible.
Amazingly they claim that they teach the Bible but they really really do a number on you because as they twist the scriptures. But it says there will be 144,000 Jewish people sealed. And these will be sealed after the rapture. So they’re not even sealed yet. And I believe this means that they’ll be saved and they’ll be sealed with the Holy Spirit in commission to go out and be God’s witnesses during the tribulation period. If you read Revelation 7, chapter 7 verse 5 and 6 and so on, it names 12 tribes of Israel and 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes, 12 times 12,000 is 144,000.
So the 144,000 are Jewish and we find out that they’re also men and that they’re also virgin men. If you turn to chapter 14 of the book of Revelation, it says that these are all men and they’re They’re all virgin men and it says they were redeemed by Christ’s blood from among men. So here we have three things about the 144,000. They’re Jewish, they’re men and they’re virgin men. So if a woman comes to your door she’s disqualified obediently because all the 144,000 are Jewish.
Then they have to be Jewish. Are you Jewish? I ask a Jehovah’s Witness and they say, no, I’m sorry, you can’t be 100,000, 144,000. And if it’s a married man, he’s also disqualified. It has to be a virgin. These are God’s witnesses during the tribulation period. Once the rapture happens and we, the body of Christ, are taken up to meet the Lord in the ear, there will be seven years of tribulation and it immediately begins with no believers. All the believers are raptured out.
So what will happen? God is going to send back two witnesses, two Old Testament prophets, Moses and Elijah, and I believe through their evangelism. They will lead these 144,000 Jewish men to Christ and they in turn will lead millions to Christ. Revelation 7 and 9 says, I saw a number which no man could number, a great multitude of all nations and kinens and tongues which get saved as a result of the evangelism of 144,000. The witnesses of course claimed that they were 144,000 and they didn’t realize that their movement would grow to more than 140,000.
24,000. So they had to do some adjustments. And so they said, well, the first 144,000 Joe’s Witnesses are the 144,000. And that the rest of the Joe’s Witnesses will then live on the New Earth and not go to heaven, only the 144,000. Crazy teaching, they’re not only not the 144,000, but they’re not going to go to heaven or to the New Earth because the as Joel’s witnesses deny Christ and his shed blood is the only means of their salvation.
Jesus is God, it took on flesh. In 1 John 2, 23 it says, whosoever deny the son the same hath not the Father. So the witnesses do not have the Father, that means they don’t have Jehovah. So their Jehovah’s witnesses without Jehovah. They’re Jehovahless! Amazing! Brother they just are so deceived and we need to pray for the Witnesses hope that helps in that. Thank you so much. We have Bert in Miami Bert. Welcome to Bibleline you are on the air and Bert.
Thank you for calling in Thank you Thank you for saying that I think this is what the Bible teaches when it says that the separation between giving you milk and milk, well, I’ve been handed a big stake here. I’ve just done about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many teach that this is separate from when we were born again. One of the things that they use to substantiate what a claim is that Jesus, after his resurrection, but before his resurrection, was that Jesus was born in the Holy Spirit.
He believed on who the disciples were Holy Spirit and at that point they were born again and then in the upper room on the day of Pentecost they teach that they receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And I wish you would do a show one day because they also cite Acts 2 4 Acts 8, 14 Acts 9, Act 1044, Act 19, 1 through 7, I have the grandfills of receiving the Baptist and the Holy Spirit. Now, I’m not quite sure about this and I’m not convinced.
I think that we’re in joint with the Holy Spirit as number one again. I don’t think we have a separate experience with the Baptist and the Mother Holy Spirit for gifts and for empowerment. But I’m an infant Christian learning about this. I wish you could do a show one day and expand on that. Well, we’ll have to do that. I have a 12-hour series on the Holy Spirit where I go into great depth about all that. Let me give you a quick answer here 1 Corinthians 1213 says, by one spirit are we all?
That is every believer is baptized with always spirit and placed into the body of Christ. And that’s what the baptism is. It’s the placing of the believer into the body of Christ. And it says as a result of verse 27 of 1 Corinthians 12, I just quoted verse 13, the verse 27 says, now you are the body of Christ and members of particular. So you are placed into Christ’s body and become a member of the body of Christ by trusting Christ as Savior and it’s not a separate experience.
When you trust the Lord there are four operations of always spirit that every believer experiences and they happen at the instant of salvation. You are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, you’re born again, you’re involved with the Holy Spirit and then you’re baptized with the Holy Spirit and you’re sealed as the A.L.D. the the one that got saved early on you know don’t these is told me to do this if you trust crisis is a good you’d be born again they didn’t receive the whole spirit uh…
at at the resurrection there except for a temporary indwelling to help them to those forty days after the uh… resurrection to learn God’s word. Let me just say goodbye to you folks down in Miami as we let you sign off. And again, pray for Bible and we hope you’ll pray that we can continue in your area. And we need your help to do that if you would call and help us out financially or get an I’m not sure if you’ve said that would be great, but we appreciate the Miami audience.
Anyway, The baptism of the Holy Spirit didn’t occur until Pentecost. So they received the Holy Spirit as you went in the Old Testament times, which was a temporary dwelling. And so he breathed on the Holy Spirit, gave them the Holy Spirit for 40 days. Then everybody, the Holy Spirit left. And in the remaining 10 days, while Christ had ascended to heaven, while they were waiting for Pentecost the 50th day, they were without the Holy Spirit. And then the Holy Spirit came to permanently and globally, with this age at Pentecost.
I have a great answer, Hank. I want to ask them, how do you compare conversion? The conversion has to do with your Christian life, and I was saved, and a year later I was converted. I dedicated my life a year after I got saved, and that’s conversion. Thank you very much, and have a great passover. Okay, and you two, keep listening. All right, thank you, Hank. Down in Miami, Florida, and we have Sadie in Gloversville, New York on the line here, Welcome to Bible in your On The Air.
I think she hung up. Call back because we’ll get you right after the break in the second half hour. But we’re coming up on our break right now. Again, don’t forget if you’re living in the area. We have Peter classes tonight, second Peter. And that’ll be class five and six. You’re welcome to come and sit and just be my guest. We’d love to have you see what it’s like and join us and we’ll have a lot of fun tonight.

We’re going to take a short break, come right back and do it.
I can do a second half hour Bible and so keep your radio tuned right where it is and I’ll be right back. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Englund for a minute. It’s great to be with you. It’s Tuesday here and we are hoping you’re enjoying the programs this week. So listen all week long and how many people tell us that they listen every day and that’s exciting.
If you can’t listen at the time that we’re broadcasting, you can always go back and catch it anytime you want in our kind of on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org, BibleLineMinistries.org and there you’ll find our radio programs, our television programs, our worship services, our online bookstore and the articles that I’ve written, questions that I’ve answered, many things that will keep you busy busy busy busy busy. We get emails and comments all the time. I just got one here a little bit earlier this morning and this is a person from St.
Louis, Missouri and they somehow found my website and they just think it’s terrific and they say here thanks for being a great soul winning church and so we have people all over the country that are finding us and are all over the world finding Bible line. And you can do that too and pass that word along to your friends in other countries, in other parts of the states. We have 156 countries that are logged on and maybe you have missionaries, maybe you have friends, maybe you have family, maybe you have people in the military that are family or friends that are in other countries.
Tell them about Bibleline and they can be getting these radio programs, our television with our worship services, wherever they might be. You know, we just had a soldier come back from Afghanistan. He told us what really got them through was being able to get into barracks, get their laptop going, watch the Bible and worship service, and it just sustained them. The whole group, he said it would be about 10 or 12 of them sitting around the computer watching the morning worship service in Afghanistan.
Isn’t that great? Really? It blows my mind because wow, who had ever dreamed that you could have the technology to do that. But we webcast our worship service every Sunday. You can watch it from anywhere in the world. And we get responses from all over the world as well. Well that’s exciting. The thing about going to Israel again, it’s like we’ll probably wait until February of this coming year. has come to sets just out this year. Lord willing we’ll plan to go to Israel.
I’d love to have you go. We’ve got lots of people that want to go and we’ll be baptizing in the Jordan River. We’ll be visiting Calvary in the Tomb of Christ. We’ll be seeing if you go on the option that’s connected with it. We’ll be seeing Egypt, the Cairo Museum. We’ll see the pyramids of Egypt. We’ll travel to a lot. A really beautiful resort city of Israel on the Red Sea. We’ll go to Rock City of Petra in Jordan.
And plus spend 10 full days. to Israel. Wow, it’s going to be exciting. Call us to get your name on the list so that we’ll know how to contact you as we make our plans here. We’re going to do the second half hour Bible and right now. Would you like to call Bible and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and this is the second half hour and it’s great to be able to be with you on this Tuesday.
Tonight, we are teaching second Peter and if you’re in driving this, then sure welcome to come be my guest and sit in the classroom. I think you’ll enjoy the experience. We have a great time as we do this live and then of course it’s recorded on CD and DVD You can order those and see them and play them later. It would be fun to have you come by. Also, if you want to come by and worship with us on Sunday, if you’re in driving distance, we’re having our third Sunday dinner this Sunday.
That means you can come at 9.15 and join my adult class or other classes for adults. But if you want to join my class, you can. You can also stay then for the 10.30 worship and then hopefully stay for the dinner. that will have and eat with us and fellowship. It will be a great time to get to know you. And we’d love to have you come. So you can kind of make it a day. So if you’re coming from a distance, it’d be great you get to eat a nice lunch before you head on home.
And I hope you’ll come on by and see us. That’s this Sunday, the third Sunday in April. And I hope you’ll do that. Well, we’re excited about possibly going to Israel again. and it looks like we’ll try to hold off until February of 2009. If the Lord hasn’t come back, we would love to have you on board with us. It will be split into two parts giving you some flexibility. Ten days all Israel with a five-day option that is preceding that where we go to Egypt and we go to a lot on the Red Sea.
We’d also go to the Rock City of Petra in southern Jordan. So you’ll really visit three different countries, Tittle, and get to enjoy the wonderful beautiful resort city of Elot on the Red Sea. You’ll have a great time seeing the wilderness where the children of Israel wondered for forty years. It’s not a flat-dried desert, it’s a rocky mountainous desert with an amazing beauty. Every minute it looks different. And it’s quite a remarkable place. And if we’d had time on this trip, we’d also try to probably climb Mount Sinai, which I’ve done several times.
What I want to treat to be able to see these areas where the children of Israel wondered as they came out of Egypt and went into the Promised Land. So many things you’ll learn all day long will be teaching the Bible all along the way, and it can’t help but have your life transformed. that went this past term, came back different. No doubt, affected for the rest of their lives here on this planet. And we hope that you’ll maybe experience that with us this coming year.
Call us and give us your name and put yourself on the list. Also, again, we want you to know that Bible and is not only live right now from the 10, 11 Eastern Standard Time Hour, but we’re also on the internet 24, 7. So anytime you would like to go to your computer and turn it on, go to BibleLineMinistries.org and you’ll be able to catch the radio programs for the past, I think, two years are available. Anyway, if you want to call in, the number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.
Greg called in from Tampa, left this off-air question. We were talking about 144,000 a few minutes ago. and he says why is the tribe of Dan? He was not mentioned in the 144,000 Jewish witnesses. Dan is the tribe left out of that list. And I believe the reason why is apparently it’s hinted in Genesis 49 that the Antichrist will come out of the tribe of Dan. It talks about there is we find the blessing given upon the twelve sons of Jacob.
Israel or Jacob blessed his 12 sons. He gave a prophecy about each one and he tells there that Jesus would come out of the tribe of Judah. He would come out of the tribe of Judah and then immediately following he talks about the tribe of Dan and that the serpent would come out of Dan and he would strike the right of the horse and he would fall back. We believe that’s a reference to the Antichrist. And so the Antichrist tribe will not be blessed by being a part of the 44,000.
And Joseph’s son got the double blessing. So Ephraim and Manassas, that extra tribe is replaced by the two sons of Joseph. So Joseph’s line is carried through Ephraim and Manassas is added. And so you have 12 tribes there. In the Millennium, Dan is included again. So God is forgiving in that the tribe of Dan will have a place in the Millennial Kingdom when Christ is ruling and ranting here on this earth. I hope that helps. We’re now going to go to Richmond, Virginia, and we have Tom on the line.
And Tom, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the earth. Good morning, Hank. Good morning. I was thinking about that scripture in one of our Jesus, though in the Kedema. So much of you before and again, you cannot keep the Kingdom of God. This is the Windows, theumen of God. And I was thinking how that applies to the millennial rain, and the people born, after the millennial rain begins, will not be safe until I trust, and someone will even rebel at the end, meaning that they’re actually seeing the kingdom of God, and they have nothing born again.
How do you explain that one? It’s wild, isn’t it? It just tells us the wickedness of the human heart. As it says in Jeremiah 17, 9, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it? Of course, the answer is God only knows our hearts. But you’ll find that people born during the millennium, even though Christ is living on the earth and the earth will be filled with his knowledge, that people will still reject Jesus as their Savior.
Isn’t that amazing? I just can’t believe anybody would do that, you know, just imagine Christ being here on the earth invisible, but yet when he was here the first time, obviously the whole nation for the most part of Israel rejected the Messiah. So children again, that wickedness. But of course, millions will be saved during that time and the earth’s population will greatly grow. But the thing that kept me though is that technically they are seeing the kingdom of God and they’re not born again yet.
So this father this morning, when you ever use that scriptor, it seems like an apparent contradiction, although I know it can’t be because there are no contradictions. That’s what I’m trying to figure that one out. Well, we’re in what is really called the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the Heaven’s ruling over the earth. And the Kingdom of God is a phrase that is greater than that. It includes all that God is under his authority in sovereignty, which is the whole universe.
which continues on into eternity after the destruction of this world after the thousand-year earthy reign. So, they won’t enter into that, but they will get to enjoy the earth at its most beautiful state. The earth will be like a garden again, and it will be a peace, and it will be a wonderful time to live on the earth, and they will have been privileged to see the Lord here on the earth and be surrounded with a knowledge of who he is and what he’s done.
And so they’ll be greatly punished in Helen, fortunately, because they would have rejected greater light. Well, I think that’s pretty much explained. I appreciate that. Thanks. Thank you, Tom, and Richmond, Virginia. We’re now going to go to Anonymous in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Nobody knows who this guy is, but we’re going to talk to him in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Go ahead, Anonymous. Yes, for a mystery. I had a question concerning an activist and I guess some of the new Testament prophets.
I just was trying to figure out what a true prophet and what an accurate end of things that they prophesied. Well, of course they were New Testament prophets but… But these they were people that spoke in tongues as well or people that did Healings and all those things ceased at the end of the first century. So you have to recognize that Today we don’t have any prophets they’re gone Today we have God healing when it is well to do so, but there are no divine healers.
I believe in divine healing, but I don’t believe in divine healers. Those people that can raise the dead and these kind of things don’t exist today. We have a lot of people claiming to be prophets, claiming to be divine healers. When you take a look at the real facts, they really can’t. If you had divine healers, you would have to have them healers today. They ought to be able to go to the hospital and go bed by bed and four by four and empty the whole hospital up.
Wouldn’t that be something? Then also go to the graveyard and start raising the dead out of the tombs. This is not happening. But yet the biblical gift was real back there two thousand years ago and ceased when the New Testament record was completed. So this is what’s going on today. So yes, those were two prophets. Again, The modern counterfeit is that they prophesy about you. They’ll come up and say, you know, I know you’re going to come into some money, or you’re going to find the love of your life and get married, or you’re going to this and that and the other, and they make a short-term prophecy.
That’s fortune-telling. That’s forbidden in the Bible. Isaiah 47, 13 says, we’re to stay away from all that kind of stuff. Amazingly, fortune telling and other occult practices are entering the church today at an alarming rate. People are buying into that and it’s being renamed as the gift of prophecy. This is craziness and this is wrong. The biblical gift would have been that they would tell you the events of God’s overall program. For example, they could accurately tell you before the digestive record was written and you could read it for yourself.
yourself that the rapture was the next event, then the tribulation period, then the rise of the Antichrist, then the second coming of Christ, then the monom and then the destruction of this earth, the creation of the new heavens and new earth and so on and so on. But those kinds of things are not being done by the so-called modern prophets today, but this guy Agabus probably can tell you those kinds of things before the New Testament written. I was written to tell you the future of God’s plans on the planet.
Well, I believe because there were two comings prophesied and in the New Testament you find that seems to be the issue that all the apostles dealt with that Christ would come first to suffer and then he would come a second time in all of his glory. When Paul witnessed he would bring that up. He would say, he would point out the scriptures that said that he would suffer first. Peter did the same thing. You read about Peter saying that he would first come and suffer and die and then he come in his glory.
Jesus himself, after the resurrection, in Luke 24, talks about O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. In verse 26 he goes on to say, O not Christ has suffered first, and then come in his glory. So they were looking for a king and for a Messiah who would come in his glory. But when he came as he did meet and lowly, bringing salvation and went up across and died, they just couldn’t buy that and they rejected thank you this mister namas maybe one day will discover who you are alright and now we’re going to go to martha and martha is in the land floor over on the east coast of fortum uh…
martha welcome to bible thank you yes uh… you just got to say that no one of raises the day of what about uh… the book of met wiggle words, raising the dick and healing the sick. And also another question is, my grandchildren, they grow up going to Christian school most of their lives. Now they’re in their twenties, but they are not living the way they should, but they say grandma, say once they always say, now if you’re doing things of the world, are they still going to go to heaven?
I will hang up and listen to you. Thank you. Martha, thank you so much for that call. I do not believe it’s Wiggleworth raised anybody from the dead We have a lot of charlatans out there and I believe that that’s just one of those and of course Wiggleworth knows the truth today. He’s he’s dead, but once you trust Christ as your Savior you are saved forever and It has nothing to do with how we behave, but how we behave Well, determine whether we are reborn it or not here and in eternity.
And so once you trust Christ, let me give you the verses to write down. John 637 Christ promises he would not cast you out. If you trust him as your Savior, verse 39, Jesus says he would not lose you. So not one person, he said, would ever be lost who would come to him. And that was the Father’s will, John 639. But the Bible does promise. that if you trust the Lord as your Savior, that He will spank you if you are delinquent.
So if your children are getting away with living as they please, it would only prove that they were not saved because a genuine believer cannot have that experience. Let me quote now and yonderate these down. Hebrews 12, 6-11 in particular, it says for whom the Lord loves, He chastens or disciplines and scourges every son whom He receives. So if you are received in the God’s family by the new birth as a son or daughter, God is going to discipline you.
Verse 8 says in Hebrews 12, If you be without discipline or chastisement, where of all a-l-l-l-all are partakers, then it says your king James is pretty strong. It says you are a bastard and not a son. In other words, you are illegitimate and claiming to be a Christian. If you could live as you please and God did not interfere. will thank you. He will get your attention. I remember trusting the Lord as my Savior, going off to the University of Florida where I later graduated in electrical engineering.
And I had told God I would take him up on his free gift, but I would never serve him. Well, little did I realize that God was going to work on me. Nobody else at the University of Florida knew I was a Christian because I didn’t tell anybody that I had become saved. I knew I was and I knew God could not break his word and I knew I was going to heaven. But you know over that next year God brought me to my knees, were in my dorm all alone.
Nobody else knew about it. I dedicated my life to serve the Lord and to tell people about Jesus Christ until the day I died. So obviously if you genuinely believe or God can get your attention and he got mine and he brought me to the place where I dedicated my life to him and no human was involved. I just knew that God was working on me as a believer. So your children, yes, if they misbehave, they’ll still go to heaven if they are truly saved.
If they press in Christ, without works is the only means of their salvation or save forever. But God will not allow them to live as they please. And if they are saved, he will chase them. And it says in verse 11 of Hebrews, chapter 12, no chasting for the present seem it to be joyous. It’s not a wonderful occasion, something we rejoice over or are excited about. But it says it’s grievous, but nevertheless afterward, afterward, after God is disciplined to believer, it yields the peaceful fruit of righteous living.
So God’s plan is that you’re saved no matter what you do. But as a parent disciplines a delinquent child, God will discipline a delinquent believer. And you might wind up going to heaven early, but if you’re going to be that rebellious, but if you know what happens if you’re a parent and you discipline your children, they become peaceable and submissive when they’re disciplined, nothing. And that’s really what God does to the believer. So Martha, yes, they’re saying, no, I don’t believe in anybody raising the dead today.
I do not accept the teachings of Wiggleworth as being real genuine healings or raising from the dead. And I think that we have a counterfeit movement out there of signs and wonders that is false. In fact the Bible says that Matthew 24 when Jesus was asked about signs of the end times he said false Christ would come along and false preachers would come along. And they would show signs and wonders. In so much of it were possible they would deceive genuine believers.
And I believe that God is telling us that people doing signs and wonders today should be suspect because it would not be genuine believers doing these things, but it would be false preachers that would be doing the signs and wonders in the last days. It’s a part of Satan’s deception as we approach his return at the Rapture here. Martha, hope that helps and thank you for listening over there into land Florida. And by the way, our phone number here at Bible Life If You Might To Call is 1-800-576-3771.
We have Officer Rod in Troll City, Virginia calls in. He leaves this author question. He says, I talked with a 53-year-old man. Who said he was a descendant of the Neppholeum in Genesis thinking he was an alien. Is this true? Well, obviously it’s interesting that word is used throughout the Bible. Anybody that’s real big like Goliath was one of these huge guys. It’s translated as Chancellor Huge Guys. And we have a lot of them today that play in the sports today.
You know, I just heard that the University of Florida got a freshman nose guard for their football team that he weighs about 320 pounds. He’s quick as can be. Can you imagine? Those are big guys, 320 pounds. Well, in any case, no, he’s not a descendant of any of those before the flood of Noah, and he’s not an alien, but he’s just a huge man. we still have huge people around. So he needs to know Christ of Savior. He needs to know that everybody without Christ is alien to the family of God.
The Bible actually uses that word and that we need to trust Christ to become born again, become a child of God and live with him forever. So Rod, I hope you can talk to that gentleman again and tell him he just needs to become saved and he’s not an aberration. the children of Israel later tried to enter the Promised Land. That same Hebrew word is used of the anacoms and the false spies, the ones that came back with a false report said that the people in the land are giants.
Well, that’s the word and that was after the flood and those that were living before the flood were destroyed, but yet it’s in our genes that some people get pretty big and we have people that are small but it doesn’t mean that we’re aliens. Hope that helps Rod and we now have Gail in Bradenton, Florida and Gail. Welcome to Bibleline we welcome you to the program. Hi Dr. Hank, my name is Gail and I’ve got a question. I’ve listened to you so many times, so many days and learned a great deal.
I have the question though that I learned when I thought I lived my life as a Christian and then realized, no, that’s not what the Bible says. And I had to, then made some changes. I accepted him. I love him with all my heart. In Second Peter, and that would be a great, I would love to kind of listen to your class, but this is the one thing in Second Peter too. And it talks about once knowing Jesus was Lord and Savior and then turning your back on Jesus.
It’s better, I don’t have my glasses on, it’s better to have not accepted Christ and turn your back on Him than to just what do you… Well, if you read that chapter carefully, the whole chapter is talking about false teachers, all the preachers, and it says all the way throughout. It says in verse 17, these are wells without water. They don’t have the truth. It says, these are the ones verse 17, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever.
And it talks here about verse 20, if they have escaped the pollutions of the world. It means maybe in the moral realm, and some of the cults are really, the Mormons, for example, usually have a list of a lot of moral standards which are pretty great and the witnesses as well. And they escape all that, but yet they haven’t really accepted Christ as their Savior. They have a knowledge about Christ and witnesses carry their Bibles around, and the Mormons carry their Bibles around, but they’re not saved.
And it says here that ultimately it is shown to be what they really are. It’s been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, which is Christ, And after they have known it to turn from the commandment delivered unto them, that commandment, I believe, is to trust Christ as their Savior, which they don’t. In 1st John 3, 23, it says this is his commandment that we should believe on his son, but they have a knowledge of Christ, but they don’t really know the Lord.
They have escaped some of the moral pollutions of our world because they have lived in that so-called cult-like environment or that religious environment, but yet they don’t ever trust in the Lord’s their Savior. They turn through that commandment. And it says here, it has happened according to the true proverb, that the dog is turned again to his environment. The dog is exposed to me. The dog goes back and eats his vomit. The sow, you can clean up a pig and put perfume on them and make a blip.
You let that pig loose. It’s eventually going to go back out in the mud because that’s its nature. These people never become born again. They go back to really eventually. exposing themselves as not being Christians by what happens as their life goes on, but they are not to become a sheep here. The dog has to become born again, to become a sheep. The pig has to be born again. These all the way throughout here are lost people who have a religious facade and claim to be Christian when they are not.
It begins right in the beginning of that chapter to talk about these as being false So they’re not saved and lost. These are people that were never saved. And yet they’ve asked greatest Christians, and unless you are studied in your Bible and asked the right questions, you would probably assume that they were. Okay. Now that’s what I think this world is. People don’t think, well, I’m not good enough to me. I think that many. Many people think, well, I’m okay.
I’ve never murdered anyone. I don’t lie, I don’t cheat, all this. That’s a difficult thing with hearing that once you’re saved, you’re always saved. But just knowing that the life is better, and I appreciate how you say, hounds and the way God blesses those who love him and follow him. Amen. But yes, it’s hard to be able to have somebody think, well, once saved, always saved, just like her grandchildren. So sometimes it’s better to say, follow God and love Him with all your heart.
And that is the only way. When you trust, yeah, that’s what they try to do. But when you trust Christ, you become saved, you’ll, and then after we choose them to live for them. And that’s when God bless us. We’re at the end of the program. Thank you, Gil. We have lots of other callers sitting there waiting to get on the air and we can’t take you today. We’re out of time.
