We’ll teach class 9 and 10 and finish that 10-hour series and you might want to order it. people have enjoyed 1st Peter and those that are in the classroom are enjoying 2nd Peter and you can get both sets, 10 hours of teaching on 1st Peter and 10 hours of teaching on 2nd Peter all there for you ready to watch or listen to.

We have it on CD, we have it on DVD and you’re able to get those and you might want to call in and order that. A lot of folks don’t realize what a powerful message Peter had and that today the modern day church has diverted itself away from what Peter taught. You know Peter said in Acts 4-12, neither is their salvation in any other, for there is none other name. Under heaven given on men whereby we must be saved.

Certainly the apostle Peter had the message clear and plain and we’re not hearing that and you need to know what Peter had to say. Obviously he’s not THE rock the Bible talks about. Christ is that foundation stone. But he is a major player. The Bible says one of the three pillars of the early church. And Peter was one of those. And you’ll want to definitely, I think, get that series. We have some great, also, commentaries here. I have the James and Fawcett Now that is my favorite.

It has something on every verse of the Bible and that retails for about 150 years. So we have it for a gift of $100. You can get the three volumes that comes every verse in your Bible, Genesis through Revelation. We also have the Jameson, rather the J. Vernon McGee. 5-volume series giving you something on every chapter. It doesn’t give you every verse, but between the two, you really got an arsenal there to help you learn the Bible and to answer questions you might have.

So if you get the J-run of McGee, 5-volume instead of beautiful, retails for 200. We have it for a gift of 100. You can get the Jamison Possett Brown 3-volume. It covers every verse in the Bible. Between the two you’ve got great coverage. Each of those are going for a gift, which is really a discounted price of $100 for each set. We also have lots of inexpensive things in our Resource Center, including CDs and DVDs and booklets. One is the Bible made easy, another one is Prophecy made easy.

These are all $7 and they’re really colorfully done and very easy to follow and it really does make it easy. reading God’s will made is easy. You want to know what God’s will is for your life. For seven dollars you can get this nice little summary that just really will help you discover the will of God for your life. So check out our Resource Center. You can call and ask for a resource sheet to be sent to you and you’ll be able to do all these things.

Also we are talking about an Israel trip. If you want to get your name on that list we’re coming closer to finalization on that and we’ll have some prices that are brochure for you. But Let us know what you are interested in. It will be trip number 16 for me. We will do two portions, a portion to Egypt and Jordan and to Ilot on the Red Sea. Then a 10 day Israel only portion. So you can do the whole trip 15 days or just a 10 day Israel trip.

It will be trip number 16 for me. You will learn so much. It transforms lives. One of the things that motivates me to go is I watch people transform lives. people transformed in two weeks of Bible teaching on the location and they’ll never be the same. And what a wonderful way of discipling people because if you go, I guarantee you the word of God just being pumped into you every day on location is going to impact your life forever.

So you’ll want to go and I hope you will and a lot of people are telling me I’m starting my savings right now for the trip to Israel. And of course, that means if the Lord has it come and take it us out this year because we of course believe the Lord is coming. I’m not saying He’s coming this year, but He’s coming soon and we need to be aware of that and alert to it. You know, every Christian has a ministry given to him by the Lord.

Did you know that? Every Christian. In fact, every Christian has the same ministry given to him by the Lord. This does not mean that every Christian will have the same occupation or that he will not have different areas in which he may serve. But 2 Corinthians 5, 18 says that God has given to us that is every believer, the ministry of reconciliation, that is the ministry of winning the loss to Christ. Scripture even tells us what to say in order to win men to Christ in 2 Corinthians 5, 19 it says to it.

That’s Old English and it means that is to say. And here’s what we’re to say. It tells us even what we’re to do and how we’re to do it and what we’re to say. It says that is to it or that is to say that God was in Christ. That’s the first point. I think it’s important for us as Christians to let people know that Jesus was not some great teachers, some great prophets, some guy that came along that was a gifted communicator, he was God who came and took on human flesh.

You know, Islam accepts Jesus as a prophet. Of course, they accept 40,000 prophets and Jesus is just one of the boys. They don’t recognize him as God. They do not recognize his deity. And this is universal where people that do not know about the Jesus Christ and do not recognize the Jesus Christ really haven’t heard about and been confronted with the Jesus of the Bible. Because the real Jesus is God and He’s God who took on human flesh. In John 1-1 it says in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

That’s talking about Christ. And it says in verse 14 the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus Christ is the word, the eternal word, the second eternal member of the God who existed from eternity past. And as it says in John 1 1 in the beginning was the word. He was already present when the beginning began. In other words, when God created time and space, when time began, in the beginning, when time began, God, the eternal second member of the Godhead, the Lord Jesus Christ, already had existed from eternity past.

And to deny this, guess what? The Bible says this is the spirit of Antichrist. In other words, the whole spirit of Antichrist is to deny that Jesus Christ is God who came and took on flesh. And so obviously it’s a major doctrine. And in 1 John 2, 23, it says, whosoever denyeth the son, the same hath not the Father. So if you don’t have the son, if you don’t accept and recognize that he has got it to come flesh, that he is the Savior who died on the cross of Calvary, then you don’t have God.

The cults are all in that situation. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are really Jehovahless. That’s right. They deny the Son, therefore they don’t have the Father. Read it in 1 John 2 23 for yourself. Obviously, this is a major doctrine and it tells us here that not only do we all have this ministry of reconciliation that God has given to every believer to win the loss to Christ, but he even tells us in 2 Corinthians 5 19 what were to say when we’re talking to the loss as it says to wit or that is to say it’s old English, but to wit means to witness and were to give witness and say that God was in Christ.

Jesus Christ is God in flesh. Then it says, He reconciling the world unto Himself. He is the reconciler. He is the Savior. There is nothing that you and I can do to be saved, but receive what Christ has done for us. I love what the hymn writer wrote when the hymn writer wrote, just as I am I come. without one plea that thy blood was shed for me. I come to Christ just as I am, just as wretched and a sinner as we could be or are in God’s sight.

And we simply receive Christ and He saves us. He’s the reconciler. He’s the one that gives us eternal life. Find here that He is the one that does all in salvation. We don’t do anything. I love the other hymn, Jesus paid it all. All to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain, but he washed it. Has widest note, we have no part but to receive it when we simply trust Christ as our Savior, God saves us and we’re saved eternally.

The next phrase here in 2 Corinthians 5, 19 says, He is not imputing their trespasses under them. Whoa, most preachers don’t preach like that, do they? They’re always pointing their finger and saying, if you do this, you’ll go to hell. If you do that, you’ll go to hell. If you do the other thing, you’ll go to hell. And guess what? Jesus paid for every sin you’d ever commit past, present, and future, and He’s not charging those sins against you.

There’s only one sin that can cause you to go to hell. That’s the sin of unbelief, the sin of rejection of Christ. What is called the unpardonable sin. to reject to Christ is. We talked about that this week, the unpardonable sin that blessed me against the Holy Spirit. It was to say that Jesus Christ healed by the power of Satan and not by the power of the Holy Spirit, and they were in danger of eternal damnation. And committing the sin that would never be forgivable, it says in Mark 3.30, because they said because they said because they said he Christ has an unclean spirit.

So to say that Christ was not God in flesh, that Jesus Christ was a man healing by Satan’s power, a rejection of who Christ is, is the unpardonable sin that would conjure and be lost and go to hell forever and ever and ever. What we find here that God is not charging your sins against you. Now if you die, rejecting Christ who is the only provision for your sin, yes, you’ll stand before God and all those sins and those sins will cause you to be condemned to go to hell forever and ever and ever.

But you don’t go to hell because you smoke or drink or whatever bad habits you might have. I tell people that smoking doesn’t send you to hell. Now people in hell will smoke, but they don’t go to hell because they smoke. You follow? In other words, when you trust Christ, you become saved. But if he dies an unbeliever, you’ve got to help because you’ve rejected Christ. Not because you smoke or lied or cheated or stole. Every one of us are sinners.

Every one of us of sin can show to the glory of God. And Christ has paid for every sin you’d ever commit in your whole lifetime past, present, and teacher. And when you trust Him… God save you. Well, that’s the wonderful ministry that you and I have. We’re all to tell our family and our friends about Jesus and how He has paid our sin debt in full at the cross. He paid it all all to Him. I owe sin that left a crimson stain, but He washed it as white as snow.

And I can come just as I am without one plea that His blood was shed for me. And when I trust Him in His shed blood is the means of my salvation. God saves me. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible and we’re coming to you live right now from Tampa, Florida. From our studios here at the Calvary Community Church, we’re on the pastor. We would love to meet you sometime if you ever can come by. You’re welcome to come by and knock on our door and say hi and I’d love to get a chance to meet you personally if I get that opportunity and I hope you will come by.

We’re going to go to the phone lines the number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we have Ida in St. Petersburg on the line. Ida, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello, Pastor Disabinder. Yes. My question is, what are the years of man, three-schooling 10? Or as my son-of-law says, he read somewhere 120 years. Well, back before the flood. They did live longer lives and even 120 is not the length of life, but it was the amount of time it took to build the ark.

And so while Noah built the ark, it took 120 years. That was the time period that they had to get saved or they would be drowned in the flood. Obviously, the tragedy is that no one, no one in 120 years got saved, only no one his His family were saved in those after 120 years, entered into that arc and they were spared the flood and destruction by being in the arc. But the length of life of man is in Psalm 90 and there it says three score in 10.

We don’t use the word score too often anymore but it means 20. So three times 20 is 60 plus 10 more. 70 years is the length of life that God has given to us. Yes, and it adds something else and sometimes it adds 10 years or more. Yeah, you can live longer than that. In fact, we have people today that are living. I have an aunt. My dad’s sister is 104 and still a clear mind and can walk around and she’s amazing.

And my dad, I lost him at 92 years of age, which might have an aunt that’s still cranking in 104. So you should expect a long life. Well, that’d be great. We’ll see you in happens. Oh, okay. Thank you very much. Well, Ida, thank you for calling in from St. Peter’s. We have Bill in Clearwater and Bill Woken the Bible and you’re on the air. Hi, Bill. Yeah, Bill. Yeah, Bill. Dr. Lynch, I’m sorry, I’m going to make some.

What I want to ask you was I have a friend that belongs to a group called Oneness Pentecostals. That they believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all Jesus. I don’t know if you’re familiar, you’re probably familiar. Yeah, I am. Yeah, I am. And that doctrine is totally wrong. And obviously there are three separate eternal persons and that’s made clear. So many places in Hebrews it talks about the eternal spirit. And we know that Jesus is the eternal Son, John’s Gospel chapter 1 and of course the whole Gospel of John really makes this clear.

And of course we know that there is God the eternal Father. So they are three and throughout the Bible that’s taught even in the Hebrew and the Old Testament, the word Elohim, E-L-O-H-I-M, the word that is translated God over 2500 times, probably nearly 3000 times, is a plural word in Hebrew that means three or more in Hebrew, which obviously encompasses the three of the Godhead, the three eternal persons that make up the one God. And we find that there’s all kinds of verses where you have the separation of them.

You have Holy Spirit in verse 2 of Genesis 1 and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters in Genesis 1, 26. God, Elohim, a plurality says, let us create man in our image after our likeness. So obviously they’re wrong. You think that these generally they are. They also believe you can lose your salvation. If you ask that question, you’ve got it because they’ll say, oh yeah, definitely. And that means that they’re obviously saying that from the point where you are right now to the point when they die, what they do will determine whether they make it or not.

That makes them the Savior not Christ. And so they’re really trusting in how they will carry out their life until they die. And that’s what will determine their salvation. That works no matter how you look at it. And that means they’re trusting in their works and they’re not saying. Are there some mainline Christians? Do they call it Armenianism or do they believe that you can lose your salvation? Absolutely. There’s a whole large group of people that follow the teachings of James Armenia and believe that you can walk away or reject your salvation or lose it by how you live your life.

And there are many denominations that will start naming them but there’s a lot of them that believe that. And I believe they’re not saved. Alright, thanks again Dr. Lutz. Okay Bill, thank you for calling in and definitely that is a significant doctrine that as we mentioned today in 2 Corinthians 519 that we are to say when we give the gospel that God was in Christ that He is God and we have three eternal members of the Godhead clearly taught in scripture.

Jesus said the Father has sent him and that he would send the Holy Spirit and they are not the same and yet they are the one and same God. So I don’t think we’ll ever fully comprehend it till we’re in heaven but the Bible does teach that. We now have Charlie in Miami, Florida and Charlie. Welcome to Bible End. you. This is the spacer? Yes, it is, huh? Oh, Pastor, yes. I’m going to talk about this a couple of times.

I’ve heard you saying that it’s a good thing that Christ does accept us the way we are. But what’s confusing me sometimes is it sounds like there is no change in life that we come out because I believe that once we… you know, we, it’s just a grace of saving grace, it sounds more like easy to leave it and because, you know, everything else there is under the name of sin that, like, we don’t have to be safe. And, you know, and Craig and Phil Haute, I think it believes in Goesh’s father, that the fruit of the spirit, it shows these different things, but prior to that it says those who practice will not inherit the kingdom of God.

And I hope that’s not what you’re saying, that, you know, just believe in continuing your life the way you are. life. In fact, when you do trust the Lord, it’s amazing how people become grateful when they fully understand this, where they decide that they, I want to live for Christ because of what He’s done for me. And I have seen the opposite of what people fear, and that’s what I think you’re bringing up here, is that you just can go out and live as you please.

I have preachers and missionaries and Bible teachers on five continents that are serving the Lord that I’ve led to Christ, and they’re out there because they know they don’t have to change anything to be saved. But they simply are grateful that God would save them as they are, as we are all sinners deserving of going to hell, so much that they want to live their life for Christ now. And they’re in the jungles of South American other countries. One is the president of a Bible college over in Holland, and they’re all over the place, all over Europe and in Asia and in the Pacific.

I’m excited about what God has done by just motivating people through the wonderful grace by which he has saved us. Obviously, it’s because the Lord of many years ago, and I have done it not because I had to change my life, and the wonderful revelation was that he saved me based upon what he did for me not what I do for him, but my rewards now are based on my service, Kevin. We talk about that all the time here on the program, that if you don’t live for Christ and you’ll enter heaven, you’ll suffer loss of reward for eternity.

Obviously you’ll be embarrassed and you’ll be experienced regret and even tears. Obviously you don’t want to have that happen. You’d rather have the Lord say, well done, good and faithful servant and have His blessing and honor and reward that will come upon the faithful believer. But you’re not saying that, continue your sinning ways. I hope not. I don’t know. If you do, you’ll be thanked. And if you continue your sinful ways, God might take you to home to heaven and a heartbeat.

I’ve buried a lot of Christians that I think were taken home to heaven early because of sin in their life. And so you don’t want to do that. God will just take Yankee right out of you. I appreciate you clearing that up because I’ve got to sound it like just too much easy to Well, good. Thank you for listening under my men calling in, Charlie. Thank you, sir. All right. Charlie, down in Miami, Florida. And it’s interesting that the opposite happens as to what people might think.

This wonderful message of grace and of salvation is one that really, I think, brings about a grateful heart to those who really understand it. They want to serve the Lord. But even if you didn’t, you would be chasing the Lord. Hebrews chapter 12 says all believers are spanked. if they’re delinquent, and you would suffer the loss of a reward in eternity in heaven, which obviously is a believer you don’t want to experience either. Well, we’ve got to go to break here, and so we’ll come back and do a second half hour Bible.

I hope you’ll continue to listen wherever you might be, and we’ll come back and do a second half hour. So keep your radio tuned right where it is, and maybe call a friend in the break time and get them to tune in Bible and we’ll be right back. Go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right. I’m Dr. Engman. It’s great to be with you and I thank you for tuning in to the Bible and program.

We are listeners supported and without your help we could not be on the air and thank God that you, the listeners, have kept us alive. When really it looks like such an impossibility how could we stay on the air and sometimes we wonder ourselves but we know that we have a wonderful God who can supply and so if you haven’t given the Bibleline or if you haven’t given lately could you help us you can give a gift by credit card over the phone you can call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it we’ll send it right out and you can mail your gift in you can give a gift by going to the internet giving it on our online bookstore on our website Bibleline in ministries, BibleLineMinistries.org.

Then we hope that you will do that. And that’ll help us keep going here because we’re living in the last days and we’re trying to reach out to as many people as we possibly can while we still have time because the Lord is gonna snatch us out and we don’t know when. But what if we just said, well, I don’t think it’s gonna be for quite a while and all of a sudden booming comes. Well then obviously I think you’ll have regret to say, wow, I missed my opportunity.

I should have done more for Christ. And obviously the opportunity will be gone. So right now is your chance to live for Christ, serve Christ, and give to Christ. And if you want to give Bible, I really could use your help. And your gifts will keep us and assured it will be kept on the year for you. So pray for us and if you can give a gift to Bible and today called in our 800 number. And I want to thank you in advance for your prayers, for your gifts and for your concerns.

And thank all of you who tune in to Bible and everyday. We are excited about the classes on 2 Peter that we’re finishing up right now. We have 1 Peter already completed. After next Tuesday you’ll be able to order 2 Peter. We have the gospel of John the book of Romans the book of Hebrews the book of Jude the book of Revelation the book of Daniel and many many more presentations that are available on CD and DVD and You might want to order a lot of people use them to facilitate a Bible study or a Sunday school class and They play maybe a half hour then they have some group discussion and and then in a home Bible study They wind it up with refreshments and and one fellow had to add on to his house because his home Bible study outgrew their facility and they had to add a large meeting room on his home so he can

accommodate the people that were coming. That’s exciting and I know we have a major league ballplayer who does that in the basement of his home and people come from all over to listen to the CDs of the teachings here. What we’re going to do Bible N2 right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back in that break, and this is my plan.

I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. We enjoy being with you every day. I hope you enjoy the program. and We need people all the time that say such wonderful things and encourage us to be on the air. A gentleman his wife yesterday in a restaurant and he came over and said that he listens every day with his wife and they enjoy the program so much.

And it’s really wonderful to see how God is using Bibleline to reach out and we are reaching into prisons. We have many prisoners, writers from different jails, where they’re listening to the Bible line on the radio in the jailhouse. We hear it from people who are working in offices, that are in their trucks or cars, out and about, people in their homes. And we’re just excited about what God is doing. Pray for us as we attempt to reach out to as many people as we can until Jesus comes back.

I think that date is really coming up on us kind of fast and we’d hate to say, Lord, you know, I didn’t think you were coming back for quite a while and therefore I just kind of didn’t get real active like I should have and I think we’ll regret that. I think we need to say, Lord, I don’t know when you’re coming back, which we don’t, but I need to get busy non-case you do come back sooner than I thought you would.

So don’t waste any opportunity to get in on the blessings and the rewards that you have for every believer that will share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. In any case you can call here and get a resource sheet sent out here. You can also call and give a gift to the Bible. You can call and order from our resource center on lots of things you can do that we hope that you’ll keep in touch with us. We’re going to go to the phone lines.

That number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have Geno in Tampa, Florida on the line. Geno, welcome to Bible India on the air. Yes, how you doing? I have two questions for you. I have a couple of people here with me that we are listening. And one first thing, I was telling them about 10 and how everybody stands. And there’s only really, truly one I’m forgiven we’re saying it has to send a unbelief in Jesus Christ. So he was saying one person asked about, well, what if you keep a Muslim and she wants to He wants to know who Allah was, but that’s all that, you know, Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet.

And he wants to know then who is Allah. And I’m going to hang up and listen. Right. Geno has several people sitting around him that have questions that he’s calling in to facilitate that. And, Geno, first of all, we know that the unpardonable sin is unbelief or rejection of Christ’s suicide will not send you to hell. You know Judas committed suicide and went to hell and many have wrongly taught that he went to hell because he committed suicide. Some teach that he went to hell because he betrayed Christ and so on.

But the answer is that Judas went to hell because he never was a believer. In John 664 it says that Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him and Jesus was talking about Judas. Jesus was never a believer and he knew that from the beginning. And Judas died as an unbeliever and therefore it does say he is the son of tradition and that he went to hell. But he went to hell not because he committed suicide but because he never trusted Christ the Savior.

Also Jesus Christ is God, the God of creation, the God who created the universe, the God who made each and every one of us. He is God who came and took on Him in flesh. And the Bible tells us that you cannot enter heaven apart from Him. So as a Muslim who does not accept that, you are in deep trouble according to the Bible because Jesus said in John 14.6, I am the way, the truth in the life, and no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.

No man and Kenneth and the Father, but by me. So everybody is excluded except those who trust Christ, and that’s why we evangelize. That’s why we preach Christ. That’s why I’m on the radio. I want people to know so that they don’t have to wind up in hell. And Allah, by the way, is really the moon god. And if you’re Muslim, you really are praying to Allah, the moon god. You know, that’s why on every prayer minute or at tower, there is the crescent moon, these are prayers being sent up to The Moon God was one of the tribal gods when Muhammad was out there in the deserts of Saudi Arabia.

That was one of the gods that was already worshipped by people. And he chose that God, the Moon God, as being the God that he was going to present to the world. And then also there was a meteorite that fell there in the desert sands of Saudi Arabia. He said that that meteorite was the point of contact between God and man. And so that if you wanted to pray to the moon god to Allah, you would pray in the direction of that rock and then your prayers would be transmitted forward and up to all of the moon god.

And so everybody that is Muslim aims their body toward this black rock. And of course today that’s Mecca. Mecca is all about a black rock. It’s about a 12-inch diameter meteorite that fell. People point their bodies that direction every day from if you’re in the West, you pray East, if you’re in the East, you pray West, if you’re in the South, you pray North, if you’re in the North, you pray South. I’ve been in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.

And there’s a niche off center with the beautiful mosque. it gives you the compass direction so that when you lay on your carpet and you pray, you can aim toward the black rock in Saudi Arabia and then your prayer will hit that rock and go on up to Allah, the moon god. And obviously this is not what the Bible teaches and is clearly contrary to the Bible. And the Bible forbids even from the early pages of Genesis we’re not to worship the sun, we’re not to worship the moon which the Muslims do and we’re not to worship the The stars, all of us have forbidden, were not the worship of the creation, but the Creator who created the ball.

And that’s the God of the Bible. Do you know, I hope that helps. And certainly I hope your guests have gotten the answer there from that. Jesus is the only way to heaven. And Judas was lost because he never trusted Christ as his Savior. We now have Peter in Palm Harbor, Florida. And Peter, welcome to the Bible and you’re on the air. Good morning, Pastor. How are you today? Good. Good. The previous caller, not this one, but the one before the break, I heard bits and pieces on and I just wondered, because I heard the word easy-believeism and that it just can’t be that, that he wanted to see salvation in people that continued their sinful.

And I wasn’t sure what I had heard in terms of the answers. I just keep thinking of comment on Lot. He obviously believed the same way that Abraham did that God would provide a Redeemer. And then of course I think in terms of Romans, Chapter 10 where it says, with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness. People, we look at people who profess to be Christians and we judge them by their works to determine whether they’re saved or not because salvation has always been by belief trust that God would send a redeemer, that redeemer Jesus Christ that we trust in that sacrifice as payment.

Can you comment on those things? Because maybe if I misunderstood or I misheard, could you kind of fill in some blanks on that? Absolutely Peter. And you know, it’s interesting that Lot, his life went in a negative direction. Down, down, down, down, down. And even literally geographically down because he went down into the Sodom Valley, which is the lowest spot on the face of the Earth, the surface of the Dead Sea, is 1,300 feet below sea level. And Sodom was right there about that same level below sea level.

So he was not only down morally spiritually in the worst area you could live in the world, but also the lowest spot of the world. Obviously he was not saved based upon his works or his deeds or where he set up housekeeping. But Lot was made a righteous man in God’s sight by faith. And Peter clearly tells us that in his wonderful book of 2 Peter that Peter was a righteous man in God’s sight. But he put himself in a bad environment and he had no testimony.

obviously when the angels came to destroy solemn nobody believed him He did not win anybody to Christ. His life wound up in ruin and all his treasures were burned up when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. So he lost his home and was burned up and destroyed. He lost his savings account in the first national bank of Sodom. He lost his boat in his car and all the other things that he had accumulated. Of course, I don’t know if he had a boat or a car.

I probably didn’t. But in any case, whatever wealth he had was all destroyed. He left with just the clothes. close on his bag as he fled to the little town of Zohar. And there his wife in the process got destroyed because she went back to get her purse and we have the two daughters getting a lot drunk and having sex with him and become pregnant by him and so they can get incest with him. So I was his life was a total mess and not too many parents are naming their little kid lot when they choose the name for their child.

They say, oh, let’s name him a lot. That’s a great name. Nobody does. I haven’t really met any guys yet in my lifetime that have the name lot. And obviously he was not an exemplary Christian. And yet the Bible says he was the same. So Peter, you’re really bringing up a good point. And I appreciate that because we really aren’t the keepers of the book. And if a person puts their trust in Christ, even as Lot did and not lived for Christ, they’re still saved.

But certainly we teach and preach and the Bible encourages that every believer would live for Christ and serve Him because obviously God wants to bless us and reward us. And we obviously have treasures that are laid up in heaven as a believer, whereas Lot’s treasures were all earthly and He lost them and many Christians I’m afraid have all their treasures as earthly treasures and when they die they’ll leave them behind and they won’t have any rewards in heaven and that’s going to be a tragedy.

We’re going to go down to Bill in the land, Florida and Bill, we welcome you to the Bible and program from the land. Bill are you there? Yes, I’m here. My question is, if a born again believer is in a lot of pain and sickness and they commit suicide, will they go to heaven or will they go to hell? No, they will still go to heaven. We certainly don’t recommend suicide and God doesn’t want us to take our lives.

But even if one did, you would still get a heaven. That’s clear in the Bible. It says in John 637, though, Jesus says, him that cometh to me, I will know why he’s cast out. It doesn’t say except for suicide or except for this or for that. There are no exceptions. It says, under no circumstance, would Christ ever cast out anyone that comes to him? So you’d never be cast out. You’d never be lost. You’d have eternal life. And obviously we’re saving currently once we trust Christ.

But God wants us to trust Him and we’ll be rewarded for it. Many people suffer and those who suffer are going to be rewarded for that if they are obviously a testimony for Christ and they’re suffering. The whole book of James and much of First Peter’s about people who suffer for Christ and are testimony in their sufferings. Job suffered. And look at the blessing he has been to so many. As we read about, he was not only lost everything materially he had in his children, but also he was afflicted with boils from the top of his head down to the bottom of the seat.

He must have been in agony and pain and suffering. And yet he never cursed God and he faithfully trusted that God was bringing through an experience that would obviously have a great end to it all. And God blessed him with double whatever he had before in the end of his life. And Job has been such a testimonial to all of us who go through suffering to trust the Lord and keep our eyes on him. So hopefully that helps, Bill, but you would not go to help if a person commits suicide if they’re a believer they go to heaven.

Okay. Thank you very much, Doctor. Now you’re welcome Bill and we have now got 10 done in Miami Florida and 10 welcome to Bible and you’re on there. Sure. You’re welcome. I was too a bit disturbed about the caller Charlie because I think what troubles me is because, you know, so often we hear a half gospel message. What I mean by that is that we only teach of Christ’s death and his… comment that satisfied God’s righteous demands for our sin but he didn’t just die for our sin.

He rose from the dead in order to give us life. And unfortunately I don’t… That’s where I think these folks get mixed up in understanding that it’s not about telling people what they can or cannot do in reference to sin, but it’s in explaining the full gospel that Paul in Colossians where he said that we admonish everyone and instructing everyone With all wisdom and what was that truth that he belonged to convey? It’s Christ in you, the hope of glory and that Christ not only died for your sins but he rose from the dead to give you new life and our focus is on that new life, not on the…

not on what I’m to do? Well, I certainly agree, Ken. We have obviously been given a wonderful opportunity to be used of God in this world, this nasty world that we live405 to share the goodness of the gospel of Christ and to see God work in our lives to use us as an instrument to be an ambassador, to be representative, to be a spokesperson to be a witness for Christ in this world and God wants to use us every day.

And we miss opportunities when we aren’t alert to that and the fact that we shouldn’t be focusing on what bad things or wrong things we can do, but how much can we do that is within the will of God that will bring about His blessing and reward in our lives. Well, in the fact of Christ in you, see if it’s not kind of God, we’re joined arid with Jesus Christ. And the fact that Jesus was our example as the God-man, he was totally dependent upon his father.

And that’s what we should be teaching these new Christians. That you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. And that Christ is your life. He’s become your life, that you died and your new life is found in Christ. And the teach that He lives and that same that raised him from the dead dwells in you. Amen. And that’s when we’re teaching a legalistic gospel. I think you hit it on the head. Thank you, Ken. Appreciate that call.

And definitely as a believer, we have a new life in Christ. And we are going to live with Him forever and ever and ever. And that’s obviously a real great benefit of being saved. We now have John, and he’s in Tampa, Florida, and John, welcome to Bondly and You’re on on your own after quick and uh… uh… one is uh… what do you find uh… uh… believe it’s in roman where are all what’s saying something like uh… that i do i don’t do you don’t like to do uh…

by the U.S. and Romans chapter. Romans 7, verse 19, Paul says that because there are two natures that the believer possesses the old nature from Adam and the new nature from God. He says the good that I would, I do not, but the evil that I would not, that I do. He had a struggle with sin and the old nature 25, 30 years after he became saved. He writes that the victory is ours in Christ, but we definitely have that struggle where the old nature is always there, warring against our new spirit nature.

On the second chapter 7 verse 19. John chapter 7. That’s it. Alright, the other thing I want to ask, you mentioned about the Bibles, the different kinds, you say the old Bible is the best, you know. Well, if you’re going to get the skull face… The Scofield reference is, which I recommend, I recommend the old above the new. The new ones that are in the bookstores now are terrible. And we have only the old here, which is far superior, and that’s what I would recommend.

So you can get it from us, but it’s difficult to find out there. Otherwise, most bookstores do not carry. The old Scofield, they have gone with the publishers’ suggestion to sell their new Scofield, which I believe is watered down and inferior to the old one. The old one is better in this case. We have everything from a soft cover and about $20 to a hardback and $30 and then we have leather from 60 on up to a large print leather at $100.

So we got a whole variety. You can call and talk to our people here at the Resource Center and I’ll tell you. Go ahead and decide and give us a call. We’ll be glad to help you out. We have an email that came in. from Kristen up in DeWitt, Michigan, and she says that she has a verse that gives the golden rule. She said, I would like to say that Luke 631 is the golden rule. Luke 631 is the golden rule.

Let me just read it here out of the Bible. It says, and as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise? And we appreciate that, Kristen. That’s a great bit of research you did there. And I’ll try to tuck that away in my brain for the future. But as you would do, as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise? The golden roller, you have it, Luke 631.

And if the lady is listening, they called in yesterday with a question, there you have that answer. Thank you so much Kristen and Dewitt Michigan calling in with that answer for us. We now have Linda in spring hill Florida and Linda welcome to Bibleline your on there. Good morning Dr. Hay. Be late and happy birthday. Well thank you. Thank you so much. And nice to have you back. The not just last email but the gentleman to call to call is very good.

And I think he painted a good picture of maybe the church today in a large part walking alongside Jesus instead of hidden within him and too much of us showing and not enough of him. But my call was for the easy believer and I agreed with the gentleman that came and called later and talked about Job. I feel like they’re, you know, if you would liken them to their legal immigrants, they’re like illegal fruit pickers. And they want to go looking at everybody else and picking their fruit.

And we’re supposed to be worried about what we’re doing and how our light is shining. And I’ve been a believer since 79, and I study every day. I hunger for the word. I love it. But the more I look at the Word and the more I look at Christ and everything about God, the worse I feel like over those years I’m worse because I see myself clear and clearer. But I know that I’m cleansed by the blood and that God sees me clean and righteous.

He’s imputed it to me. But I think if they’d quit looking at everybody else and they just look through the mirror the word, they see that they’re not doing subgrade on a daily basis either because we definitely all fall short of the glory of God and probably all day long in very many ways. So we don’t need to go on picking everybody’s fruit. And then my other comment was like Joe analogy, I know a young person that they’re now born again for sure, but maybe they were living through their parents’ salvation.

And I believe because you believe kind of thing. But they kept going back to, this is a drug situation, and they kept going back to it. And when you’re a new believer, God will fix up our methods like we do for our little children. As we get bigger, we become responsible for our own actions. And God just steps further and further away and lets you have your way. And then you live with the horrible consequences you created in your life.

And you may not die early, you may not take you home, you may make you live life and live it through the mess you’ve made for yourself. You know, and now your joy you should have in the Lord is really hurt because you’ve chosen to rebel even though you’re saved. You had a headstrong and now you’ve got the consequences in your life until you go home. And then again, maybe at times he does take them home early because they’re so detrimental to themselves and everybody else.

There’s just no other choice for them. Well that’s really good advice and good observations you’re sharing with us in England. Thank you so much. Thank you and we are at the end of the hour. We have lots of people waiting to get on the air with us but we just won’t be able to take you. Please if you haven’t trusted Christ just trust you right now. Lord I am a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible but I trust that Jesus died for me and shed his blood to pay my sin that full is buried in rose again for that God saved you and you trust him in his death barrel resurrection.

Well I’m Dr. England’s room, it’s been great to be with you today. We have some wonderful callers and some couldn’t get up on the air and of course you’re welcome to call back again tomorrow and we’ll try to get you up then or you can leave an all fair question.

We’ll try to get to those as we can. We’re building up again and we get a bunch that we have to tackle maybe we can get some of those done tomorrow and we just appreciate all of you who listen every day. God bless you and thank you for being a part of the program and we We hope that you are being blessed by Babylon. If you are, if you could help us, it would be great because we really hate to talk about money, and I wish I didn’t have to.

But yet, I believe God wants it that way because He wants us to partner together. You could share in the blessings of Babylon and its outreach by being a part of getting it out there by being the support, by being the means financially to make sure that we are on the air. And so I think as you partner with us, you’ll share equally with us in the rewards, the blessings have become as a result. So as a believer, we are actually privileged to be able to invest in eternity, whereas unbelievers don’t have that opportunity at all.

That we as believers can lay up treasures in heaven, as Christ said in Matthew chapter 6. And he warns us, don’t have treasures here on the earth because they’ll be stolen or they’ll be eaten up by rust or eaten by moths if it’s clothing and so on. Lay up your treasures in heaven and there are no thieves and there’s no rust and there’s no moths that eat up your clothing and we’ll have those blessings and rewards forever and ever and ever.

You can do that by calling your 800 number and giving a gift by credit card today and I hope you would consider doing that and I want to thank you in advance to all of you who pray for and give the Bibleline and our behind us here and keeping us on the years. You give your support to us to keep this program going. God bless you and thank God for all of you. We’ll be back again tomorrow. It’ll be Friday and we hope that we’ll have a wonderful day tomorrow here on Bibleline.

And then of course the week it’ll be upon us, we’ll be back again on Monday. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we believe very soon. and I’ll see you when we meet in the air. Picture.
