We’re gonna go to the Bible then we’ll take our live callers people are already calling in the number is is 1-800-576-3771, that’s 1-800-576-3771. The Bible tells us that God in His sovereignty has elected to save all that would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, but God has not made your choice for you. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of folks that believe that God has made the choice for you and this obviously I think is very damaging to the teaching of evangelism.

Because why bother to evangelize if God has already picked out those who are going to be saved and those that are going to be lost? But he hasn’t. It’s God’s desire that everyone come to know him as Savior and that not any would go to hell. It makes that very plain in 2 Peter chapter 3 where Peter tells us that God is patient and long-suffering toward us in that he doesn’t want that any should perish, but that all should come to that change of mind which is called repentance.

And what a great verse that one is, 2 Peter chapter 3 verse 9. once, it is will for all to be saved, none to be lost. And so he has brought the gospel message to the world, and those who are seeking will hear that message, and God will get the message to them, and if they trust on Christ’s their Savior, they’ll be saved. But the choice is ours. Let me give you a great verse. This is in 2 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2 and in this verse it tells us how God chooses to save someone.

And by the way most people just read part of the verse, they don’t read it all. Second Pestalonians chapter 2 verse 13 says, we are bound to give thanks always to God for you brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation. That’s where they stop. That’s where they lead off or in the reading usually. Second, Thessalonians 2.13. But notice what it says here. God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit.

That’s God’s part and belief of the truth. That’s our part. When we believe the truth, when we believe or trust on Christ as our Savior, then God makes us pure and holy in His sight, He sanctifies us, and that’s how we become saved. But nowhere does the Bible ever say that with this regard to our trusting Christ’s Savior that we are saved. Yet Calvinism teaches that God picks out who’s going to be saved, overpowers them, saves them, and then they believe as a consequence.

And they don’t believe to become saved, but they believe as a consequence of the fact that God saves them first. And that is certainly not true. The Calvinist of course teaches that you cannot even believe, because we are spiritually dead when we come into this world, which is true, but they say dead men can’t do anything, so they cannot even believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, that’s not true because in John’s gospel Jesus said dead men can hear the gospel.

Those that are spiritually dead can hear and they can believe. Turn if you will with me to John chapter 5 where Jesus says in verse 25, Verily, verily I say unto you, the hour is coming and now is when the dead, that is those that are spiritually dead, shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall live. That means those that hear responsibly and that is that they believe what they hear and believe the message of Christ.

They become saved. So here, dead men can’t hear, can’t hear and they can’t believe. Verse 24 we find Jesus saying, very, very, I see unto you. He’s that hearth my word. So here Jesus speaks as God and His words are the words of God and they are living in powerful and can bring life to a dead soul. And so we find here that three things happen according to John 524 at the moment you believe. You possess everlasting life. Secondly, it says you’ll not come into condemnation.

You’ll never be condemned to going to hell. And thirdly, you’re passed from death unto life. Salvation is not a process. It’s not a continuance of doing anything. you believe once you trust Christ, you are passed from death unto life. At that very moment, according to John 524, you possess everlasting life. And you are promised that you will never come into condemnation. How wonderful. And then it says in verse 25 that the dead can hear the voice of the Son of God, and they can hear and believe and be When you and I, as Christian witnesses, ring the gospel to someone.

Use scripture because the Word of God is living in powerful. That’s why I try to memorize. That’s why I try to quote scripture. But if you just read the scripture to someone… He said, I don’t believe the Bible. I don’t want to hear about the Bible. And I say, oh, fine. But just let me just briefly tell you what it says so you’ll be informed. And I would go over a few verses that explain the gospel and find within five minutes they would trust the Lord of Savior.

Amazing the power of God’s Word to bring about Savior. amazing the power of God’s Word to bring about salvation, regeneration in that lost person and it’s the power of God’s Word. Don’t ever minimize that. Don’t ever think that the Word of God cannot do the job. And if you have somebody who’s lost, you need to quote some scripture to them. Even if it’s just John 3 16, what a powerful verse that one is. And just go over what it says, for God’s the love of the world.

That means everybody in the human race that he gave his only begotten son that’s Jesus Christ that who’s whoever that is anyone that Would believe or trust in Christ would not perish because Christ perished in our place But that we would have present tense ever Lasting life in that great It is a wonderful message and I tell you it’s thrilling to see people coming to know Christ on a daily basis And every believer ought to be sharing that and by the way Every New Testament Church ought to be having people regularly come to know Christ as their Savior.

What is the Great Commission? It’s to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Every church has got that commission from Christ to proclaim that message. And yet some churches never see a soul come to know Christ. Why? Because I’m sure they’re not preaching the gospel, which is the message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ as the only means of salvation. And that wonderful message when proclaimed brings about fruit, that is, people become saved.

And obviously if you’re in a good church, people will be getting saved. People will be making decisions to live for Christ and serve Him. And that’s what it’s all about. The Word of God is powerful and living and sharper than any two-edged sword, and when you use it with the lost they’ll become saved, and when you use it with the believers they grow and they flourish, and they become fruit-bearing Christians themselves. And that is exciting, and every believer needs to experience that for themselves.

Some churches are dead churches because the leadership are not saved, and many in the Church are not saved and the Word of God is not proclaimed and so nothing will ever happen spiritually in those churches unless something happens from the top. And I’ve had people tell me, would you pray for our pastor? I say, well, sure, what do you want me to pray for? We are praying for his salvation. Isn’t that amazing? And of course, it’s sad that there are people in the pulpit that do not know Jesus as their Savior and they’ve chosen a profession and do not know the Lord as their own Savior.

And as Christ said, if the blind are leading the blind, then they both fall into the ditch. And so with an unsaved pastor, the whole congregation probably will follow that lead and not be saved. And that is sad. It’s very important that you choose a good church. And if you’re not in one, you need to make every effort to get into one because you’re never going to make much progress as a believer unless you’re sitting under the sound of sound teaching God’s Word.

It’s worth everything to have that, even if you have to drive a little further, even if you have to put forth a little more effort. It’s so important to be in a good solid Bible church where you’re going to be taught his Word and grow and be encouraged to tell others about Jesus Christ. I’m Dr. Anchlinz from this is Bible and we’re going to go to the phone lines. That phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we’re going to go down to Riverview Florida and we have John on the line.

John, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Hank. I was listening to your show Saturday and I know it’s a rerun but you was talking about once you die, you’re absent from the body and present with the Lord, but it sounded like… Only the safe people would be absent from the body and present with the Lord. Well, that is correct. The unsafe people will be absent from the body and present in Hades, where eventually they’ll be brought up out of Hades and assigned a degree of punishment and hell and be cast into the eternal lake of fire, the eternal hell.

But everybody at death will be separated from their body. The believers will be absent from the body, President of the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5, 8. 8, but the lost will be immediately present in Hades. You can see that in Luke chapter 16 beginning in verse 19 where you see a rich man who dies who’s unsaved and immediately says he’s in flame and torment in Hades in the heart of the earth. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Thank you for calling in.

And so the unbeliever will not make heaven but he’s absent from the body, present immediately in Hades in the heart of the earth. And not until Satan is cast in to the eternal hell along with his angels, do those of the human race get cast into hell. They’re in a place where they’re held. They’ll never get out of going to hell, but they’ll be in Hades until they’re cast in the hell. We now have another John, and this one is in Bradenton, Florida, and rather Brandon, Florida.

Welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hi John. And I don’t hear John. Are you there John? You’re on the ear. Hello John. Well I guess John is not there. And we’ll have to go ahead and pick Don in St. Petersburg. Don, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hello, hello. Hi. You’re on the ear. Hello? Okay, yes sir, you’re on the air. Okay, and you’re about this purpose through and life by what’s it like, Rick Warren? Yes. And you say there’s a lot of misstatement here as far as, and we just kind of emphasize to my wife and my daughter-in-law here, and I told her how you make a point of it to where he, he’s not really accurate when, is that true sir?

That is true, and we have two books in our Resource Center here. One is called the Purpose Driven Church, and the other one who is driving the Purpose Driven Church, and both of them expose the misteachings of Rick Warren. Rick Warren is really ecumenical and believes in a workspace salvation, and I believe his message is a wrong one, And I think he’s destroying churches rather than building churches. Okay, well now I hear it over the… I’m listening to my wife and daughter-in-law listen.

Okay? Okay, so Rick Warren, that whole movement has been a real problem. We’ve had a lot of people come to us and talk to us who have been in a church that’s become purpose driven and they really tried to drive away the older people and they, In fact, Rick Warren has said that what are the pillars of the Church for? And that is the whole thing’s up. So you need to get rid of them. So they try to get rid of the older generation to appeal to the younger generation.

And so they do away with the sound teachings and the experience of the older generation. And they generally change the music so that the older folks don’t like it and they leave because it’s too loud and so on. And we had a deacon visit us here recently from a church that turned purpose driven and he says they’re trying to get rid of me. They’re trying to eliminate me because I’m one of those pillars that is getting in the way of the change in the church.

It’s unfortunate but you’ll get less Bible in a Rick Warren church and you’ll find yourself drifting in Sound Doctor. He uses the message Bible which is probably one of the worst translations out there today and the purpose driven life, you’ll find the plan of salvation and there is kind of like you get on a train and you got to stay on the train all the way to the end to be able to go to heaven. It’s like a salvation that is a progression that keeps on keeping on until you finally get off the train at the end.

And that’s not true as we just said a moment ago in John 5, your past from death of the life, your received eternal life at the moment of belief, and your promise that you’ll never be condemned a period from the very moment you trust Jesus as your Savior. We’re now going to go to John in Brandon and John welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Yes, I have a little… I know we spoke before about Hank Hanegrif and how he thinks I believe he said that rapture has already happened.

He believes the tribulation and rapture has all happened in AD 70, that the tribulation period was AD 64 to 70, that Nero was the Antichrist. And Christ came back in all of his power and glory in AD 70 when the Romans came against Jerusalem. My question actually was, I listened to him from time to time. He seems like a very intelligent man, but how can somebody get that so wrong? And I mean basically, I can’t fathom how someone can say that the rapture has already happened thousands of years ago.

He’s so well versed and amplified in the Bible. How do you think he can, and then he’s right with so many other doctors? Well what he does is he sprinkles pixie dust on the Bible. He doesn’t take it literally and he says that all these passages are metaphorical that talk about a thousand year rain and a coming of Christ back to the earth later. You know this is all about replacement theology which is what he believes in. God is done with the Jew.

The Jewish people were kicked off the horse and the church has mounted the horse and now we’re the rider and it got as though future plans were Israel. That’s certainly not true. We find that God is going to still carry out his plans for Israel and they’re going to be literally taking place and it would be a thousand-year kingdom from here on this earth that will take place at the Second Coming of Christ. None of that has obviously happened yet, but it definitely will happen and the Bible is very clear about that.

In fact, here’s a great verse in Jeremiah 31 verse 35 where it says, Thus saith the Lord, which give the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night which divided the sea when the waves there are of roar, the Lord of Hostess is his name. If those ordinances depart from before me, say of the Lord, then the seat of Israel also shall cease for being a nation before me forever.

So as long as you see the sun come up in the morning and you see the stars in the moon at night, God has not done with Israel. It’s pretty plain. God says that that will never take place and that God is going to continue to care I believe we’re close. The rapture will happen. This church age will conclude that began at Pentecost. God will turn back to the Jews. That’s why in the tribulation period when you read the book of Revelation, you’re back on Jewish territory.

There will be 144,000 Jewish witnesses bringing you to the gospel. There will be a rebuilt temple and sacrifices re-offered Revelation 11. You find that there will be two Jewish prophets that will come back. Revelation 11, I believe they’re Moses and Elijah. find that the evangelism to the world will be Jewish to Gentiles right now. In this age it’s Gentiles to Jews. And it’s going to be an amazing time when Christ is preparing Israel for the return of Christ and that kingdom that he’s going to set up.

And when he comes, the Jewish people will become the head nation on the earth at the second coming. It could be as little as seven years away if the Rapture happened this year. Would you ever want to have a discussion with him and try to, you know, and show him in the Bible or if he was very, very tough on not changing his mind? Well, I don’t know that he wanted to change his mind. I have been in a debate.

I was with Thomas Ise who believes the same way that we do about the Rapture and we debated a bunch of those that are replacement theology and basically they don’t use the scripture. They just appeal to historical views and church views over the centuries and fail to believe the Bible to be literal. If you take it out to be literal, there will be a thousand years Kingdom and Christ will physically return to the earth and rule over the earth as its king and so on.

So the key is that they don’t take it literally. Hank Hennigraff has written a book called Apocalypse Code. I’ve read it. And what he does is he takes Old Testament passages, and he doesn’t take them literally. And then he says, see. This is why these New Testament passages can’t be taken literally and so he just goes off on a wrong trail from the very get-go. So I believe those Old Testament passages that he brings up are going to be literally fulfilled in the future.

And the New Testament passages that are alluded to are also going to be fulfilled literally in the future. And there’s no reason for us to sprinkle pictures to say that they’re not going to come to pass. past. Well it sounds like this book that he wrote to put his name in that book. He thinks that his teachings are above the Bible. Thank you, Pat. All right. Thank you, John. We’re coming up on the end of the first half hour.

We’re going to be back for a second half hour. We hope that you’ll stay tuned to Bibleline. Bibleline is listed as a portion of the book. If you could help us, this is summer and offerings are generally off. And yet we are out there reaching out with the gospel and we could use your help. If you would consider praying for us, we would be grateful. And if you could call maybe and give a gift to Bibleline today by credit card, that would be so greatly appreciated.

God bless all of you who give and pray for Bibleline. I hope and pray everybody listening today is saved and as trusted Jesus Christ as there only means of reaching heaven. We’re going to take our break and I’m Dr. Englester. We’ll be right back into a second half hour. So don’t move that radio down. I’ll be right back in just a moment. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771.

Well, I’m Dr. Englester. It’s great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning in to the Bibleline program. And we are really appreciative of all of you who listen. We have a wonderful audience. I believe that God has raised up and you’re the ones who keep Bibleline on the air. You know, people say, well, how much do you get paid to be on the radio? Well, I don’t get paid anything to be on the radio and nor does our staff here.

They all volunteer themselves to this program. But it does cause us to be on the radio to pay the radio stations and the satellite company the other expenses we have, phone bills and digital phone lines and so on. But we need your help to be able to pull that off because we have no other means of support. We don’t have any organization underwriting Bibleline. So we’re totally dependent upon God and He has raised up people just like you who listen to Bibleline, who enjoy it and would like to see it continue in their area.

And it’s your gifts that make Bibleline possible. Would you consider calling today and giving a gift by credit card over the phone? That would be so wonderful. And by the way, if you could do that over the internet, you could do it that way as well. If you go to our online books store, there’s a place where you can donate there. You can also call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it. We’ll mail that envelope out.

You can mail your gift back in to Bibleline. God bless all of you who give and pray for Bible and you’re the heroes that make this program possible and we thank God for every one of you. Don’t forget the resources we have also that will help you and also help Bible and that is we have some wonderful witnessing tools. We have these tracks called Am I Going to Heaven in Spanish and in English that really work that actually lead people to Christ almost without effort.

They’re so good. are powerful and focused right on the message and clear and doctrinally sound. Most Gospel tracks are not doctrinally sound and you really need to be careful what you do hand out because some have a wrong message and you don’t want to be a part of that. But we also have CVs that are great for evangelism. We have DVDs that are great for evangelism. We have a seven minute That Salvation presentation on DVD for $7 and that’s a wonderful way to get somebody to watch and see how to become saved.

And we have many other wonderful tools, the Schofield Bible, dictionaries, commentaries and many other books about the Bible that I think you’ll find helpful. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour of Bibleline right now. So keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’re going to do a second half hour. And so… Don’t change that dial. Keep it right where it is. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr.

Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our cities here at the Calvary Community Church. And we thank you for tuning in today. By the way, this program is streamed right now live to the Internet. And if you go to Bible on ministries.org, you can catch this program right now live.

And also you can hear it as often as you like on the Internet at any time of day or night. Plus you can catch our Sunday worship services. We’ve got a year of them sitting there in our kind. and you can also watch it live on Sunday morning. We’re going to go back to the phone lines. We have Matthew in Springhill, Florida, and Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning Hank. I have two questions there. My first question is, and Jesus is teaching about the rich man and Lazarus.

When the rich man in Hades asks for, you know, Lazarus to dip his finger in the water. Does that mean that, uh, is that figurative for something or does he have a body? And I mean, I know they have senses and, and Hades, but can you talk about that a little bit? Well, it seems that he’s, uh, tormented and, uh, in once water to be dropped on his tongue. So he has some kind of body. It appears to be.

And we’d like to have some water. And of course, paradise was the place where lancerth was on the other side of an impassable Gulf, describe their Luke 16 verse 26, and you’ll find that this is a great passage that pulls back the curtain on the unseen world and we get to see exactly what happens after death. And if you’re saved, you’re going to be with the Lord. If you’re unsaved, you’re going to be separated from the Lord forever and ever and ever.

So obviously, this is not This is a real live story about two individuals. One was saved and one was lost. You don’t want to be in the category of that lost person. So they might have some sort of body down there and he doesn’t. No, wow, okay. That’s interesting. My father question was about, in Matthew before the passage of 20 says, come to me, all who labor, and I’ll give you a rest. and i’ll give you a rest when he says no one knows the father accept the son and anyone who the son chooses to reveal him you can talk about that because that seems like a Calvinist type of deal alright well obviously the lord wants to reveal himself to everyone but those who are prideful and conceded and think that they know it all uh…

will have difficulty finding the lord so basically he prays a prayer there Just prior to that statement, and I’m turning there now and I’ll read that prayer to you, where he says in verse 25 of the previous chapter here, he says, at that time Jesus answered and said, I thank the O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent and has to reveal them unto babies. So if a person is not seeking and doesn’t really want to know the truth, the truths of God’s word will be hidden from him and he may never discover Christ.

But to the one who wants to know the truth, even a child, that child can find the truth and come to know Christ. Many children come to know Jesus as their Savior, whether there are many adults that have harmed their hearts toward the things of God and they will not find the Lord and that’s sad. But that is true. I think that’s what he’s talking about here. So God reveals himself to those that are seeking and those that are not seeking will not find.

Seeking, he shall find not going the door shall be open, ask and it shall be given to you. And Christ says those that are not seeking and don’t want to know are not necessarily going to find out. Thank you so much for calling that to you. We’re now going to Nathaniel in Bill Glades, Florida and Nathaniel, welcome to Bibleline your own there. Yes, sir. Good morning, Dr. Hank. Good morning. I was still going to video a pastor on the radio and I used to say that nobody or earth can find the truth in the bar.

Well, obviously he’s being silly because the thief did not have a chance to get taken off that cross. The Roman soldiers weren’t going to pull him off the cross and allow somebody to baptize him. And obviously this is a totally nonsense. Water baptism doesn’t save. Water cannot wash away your sin. If you read Revelation 1 5 it says unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. The handwriting got it right when he said, what can wash away mess in?

Nothing but the blood, nothing but the blood. It’s only the blood of Christ that can wash away sin, water will not take away your sin, and unfortunately for those that are trusting in water for salvation and water baptism will not be saved, because they’re trusting in a human work. And we’re not saved by a human work. And it says in Titus 3.5, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. And then it says here in Titus 3 5, by the washing of the new birth.

So you washed your cleanse when you’re born again. And that’s what saved us, but not water. And unfortunately, this fellow is diluted and way off track to try to say that there’s no proof that the dying teeth never got baptized, I think is really the most ridiculous thing have ever heard my life. He was not baptized. The dying thief never got a chance to get baptized. But yet he was saved. He simply trusted, which is the only way anybody can be saved.

As soon as he believed Jesus said, today you’re going to be with me in paradise. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard anybody argue that the dying thief was baptized. Yes, sir. I was the first in the part of this morning. I don’t know what that guy’s drinking but he’s uh… he’s off alright thank you thank you that they know i was the thing you’ll down in belgrade sport we have james and lakeland and uh… james welcome to bible and you’re on the air good morning doctor with the money jail uh…

could you could you will be with uh… context of an key in on verse twenty how do i expect to call the love one that that’s not free and in total When it says praying in the Spirit, it means praying in line with God’s Word. The Holy Spirit is the author of Scripture. In 1 Peter 1, 19 and 20, Peter tells us that holy men of God spake as they were moved, directed, super intended by, guided by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit in the prophets and in the apostles is the author of Scripture. when you pray in the spirit you’re praying in line with the Bible. If you pray in line with the Bible you’re going to get yes answers. If you pray, conjure the scripture you’re going to get no answers. And so obviously you want to pray in line. To say praying in the spirit means that you are speaking in tongues. This is obviously not correct and There’s no proof of that.

I would demand proof for what they’re saying. It’s really praying in line with God’s word. It is telling us to pray accurately, praying as Christ taught us to pray in line with what the scriptures teach us about prayer. And that’s all it’s saying. And that is the full context of the Book of Q? Yes, of course. And it tells us there that we are, notice the content verse three for the faith, which was once delivered under the saints. That faith is the body of truth encompassed in God’s word.

And we need to immerse ourselves in God’s word and then pray in accordance with what God the Holy Spirit said within His exhaand not to pray contrary to the word or to the Holy Spirit. So praying in the Spirit is praying in line with God’s word. It is not speaking in tongues. And of course nobody speaks in tongues today the gibberish That’s being claimed to be tongues is exactly that is gibberish done by all the world religions Done by the cults the Mormons speak in the gibberish.

Why does God give it to the Mormons? They’re not even close to being Christian and he doesn’t the answer is he doesn’t give it to these groups This is a false this is a false gift that they’re claiming is tongues and it’s not I received credit for you and many Muslims heard it. I thought that they were speaking Aramaic, but when I asked them what was that? Isn’t that interesting? Sure. Every world religion has the gibberish and and that’s wonderful.

You got saved out of Islam and but they do speak the gibberish in Islam as well. Yes, sir. Thank you for your help. All right. Thank you James and now we’re going to go to Nick and Nick is in St. Petersburg and Nick. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Hi, Dr. Lynchroom. I got a couple of questions for you about a year ago a little over a year ago. I turn back to it to the lard and not with an altar boy and all that and baptized when I saw a child.

And I’m going to be repaptized tonight as an adult. And I’ve been studying the Rick Warren’s purpose-driven life. And it’s kind of very confusing and a little contradictory to other things that I had learned. And I heard you talking earlier about the misinformation from him. And is there another book that you can suggest that you would offer to study to learn more learn more about work rather than that and i was listening to you and you will not uh…

he has like a body spirit of body so i’m spirit cds that that was very informative i was just wondering what you think on both of those were well i i would recommend uh… Things that will you know be sound doctrine we have quite a number of commentaries and and books that are a resource center That would help you to understand the Bible. We have several books that will expose the Rick Warren movement, but you need to be careful what you read.

The primary book you need to read is your Bible, but you need like the Schofield Bible is such a wonderful help with the Center column notes and the notes at the bottom of the pages. It really will explain any things that maybe need explanation that are confusing and of course give you good sound solid doctrine as you go along. I would recommend the Scovial Bible above everything and then maybe a good commentary. We have two that we recommend so highly.

The Jamison Faucet Brown, three volume commentary and the Jay Vernon McGee, five volume commentary. We have both in our resource center here. You can get a resource sent to you free of charge. Just call and ask for that to be sent to you. Okay, fantastic. And then another thing is about a man. It’s not the greatest. I’m not too upset about that, but they’re all helpful. They’ve got a lot of good things in them. Okay, and also about a month ago when I started…

Well, you know, that’s what the devil does. He definitely wants to hinder you and then tell you do something for God. You make progress. He leaves you alone. But now that you’re trying to do something, he’s going to try to do everything he can to kill that effort and discourage you. Okay, right. So you’re on target. thank you very much doctor you’re welcome thank you nick in uh… st p and uh… yet the devil doesn’t like you to make progress so you’ll do everything to you can do you we have bill in lancing michigan and bill welcome to bible and you’re on the air thank you that’s a lot of some uh…

i wanted to make a comment on the king james bible she went after twenty four twenty nine statesFILE That, uh, the, uh, anyway states that the, uh, it’s different than what it is in contemporary English. It talks about the, uh, uh, the end time and. Jose, you got the King James Bible right there. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened? Is that the version referring to? Exactly, exactly. The point of it is I hear a lot of preachers preaching the return of Christ as soon.

Yeah, I agree is soon, but we’re going to go through the tribulation period in which I I think it’s already started because of the talk about starvation and pestilence and all this stuff. And the shortage of the oil is what’s driving the food scarcity up and all this. And I believe we are at the tribulation period in the beginning of it. What are your thoughts on that? No, I think we’re getting close to the tribulation period, but the church, the body of Christ, You refsh it out.

The Tribulation Period will begin. What you have in 1924 here is the Tribulation Period and then the Second Coming. Christ returns at the end of the seven years. After the Tribulation immediately, it says in verse 30, then Christ goes back and everybody sees Him come back in all of His power and all of His glory. But the Rapture happens and takes us out before that. I think we see a lot of the signs of the Tribulation Period happening right now, which leads us to believe we are very close to the Rapture.

to the Rapture, but we’re not going to be going through that seven years of tribulation, which is a time called in the Bible in Jeremiah chapter 30 is Jacob’s trouble. That’s when God is going to prepare Israel for the kingdom and God will turn back to using the Jew and they’re back in the state of Israel in anticipation of all this activity and we’re getting close to all of that, but we’re leaving first at the Rapture. It also said that this generation shall not pass to all these things cut out from 1948 when Israel became a nation.

Okay, if this generation shall not pass, that puts it right near the end of that generation. I agree. And so that mood means since Israel has just celebrated 60 years and Psalm 90 tells us that the length of time God gives to man is about 70, it might mean that only 10 more years until Christ comes back into second coming and if the rapture is seven years earlier it might mean three more years till the rapture. But I’m not a date setter so don’t put any hard figures on your calendar because of that but that’s interesting.

Now something else I want to bring to your attention to we have never had a pretend one of these. Now I’m wondering what’s up. Why is he doing it? His comment was that he didn’t want to let the Chinese down by not going. Something that affected… I don’t know the answer to that question, but it’s interesting to watch. Yeah, wonder what’s going on. Okay, thank you, sir. God bless him. Thank you, Bill, in Lansing, Michigan. We have Tony and Tampa, Florida.

Tony, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, Dr. Mankstoham. This is a study from Tampa. from Fair Plus. Actually, on your previous scholar, you admitted that the rich man in Hades have the body and after he died. But why, according to your teaching, why the The third man does not have that body. He has to wait until the second common to get his body. Wouldn’t you admit that the third man in heaven is imperfect, is incomplete? And then the one that put you in contradiction with the first definition, chapter 3, one One call pray that this body that we have on the big reserve on blemish.

So where do you get that when we die our Christian we don’t. we don’t have a body, we’re going to have an incomplete imperfect? Well, I think you’re absolutely right and we have some sort of a spiritual form, but not a physical body is like we have now and I’m not too sure exactly what form that body was in Hades there. But certainly he was feeling pain. He did want relief from that pain and he had conscious memory and all those things.

So I don’t really have an answer for you, but it is something we’ll have to wait till we get to heaven to find out. But you and I as a believer will not get our resurrection bodies until the return of Christ at the Rapture. So I agree that that seems to be an unsolved mystery that I don’t really have a good answer for. And thank you for that call. We have Adam in Tampa, Florida. Adam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on near.

Yes, sir. My question is, we as believers in Christ, more capable to live a holy life than the Old Testament. Good question. I would think because the Holy Spirit is in us that we have the potential to do that, yes. I would think that if we avail ourselves of the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives that we can do a better job than the Old Testament saints could do, but I don’t know that I see a whole lot of evidence of Christians doing that, so I don’t know what to tell you, but I think we do have the capacity to do a better job.

Okay, and then one more question. Are believers commanded to be baptized? Yes, we are. In Matthew 28, we’re to baptize those that we make disciples of, and every believer ought to be water baptized, but it doesn’t save us, but it’s something that everybody ought to do. I baptize people every year. We’re going to have another baptism coming up here shortly in my church, and we usually do a large group at a time. But yes, water baptism is something a believer should do, and there’s another ordinance, the Lord’s Supper, that we’re to observe.

and that’s the two ordinances that Christ has given to the church. Water baptism and the Lord suffer. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome. Thank you, Adam. And now we have Mary in Huntington, West Virginia, and Mary, welcome to Bonneville and you’re on the air. Okay, I have a question about resurrection. I don’t have any problem with Jesus’ resurrection, but some of the other resurrections I get confused on. For example, when Jesus was on the cross, talked about some bodies coming out of the grave.

Is that counted as the resurrection? Yeah, that’s a part of the resurrection of Christ, that there was a sampling of the future resurrection. As Christ came back to the dead, He’s the first fruits of the resurrection, which, in other words, in accordance with the Old Testament type, the feast of first fruits is where they would go out into the harvest field and gather handfuls of grain and bring it before the priest, showing that there was a harvest to come as evidenced by the handfuls of grain.

So Christ came back with a sampling, which was the evidence that the rest of us would be receiving in our resurrection bodies later. OK. Now then I know that according to prophecy, he was in the depths of the earth for three nights, and he witnessed two of the souls there. Well, he proclaimed liberty to the save. He went to paradise. He didn’t go to the place of punishment where the lost were, but he went to where the saved were.

And of course he told the dying thief, today they’ll also be with me in paradise. So he was in a paradise portion, but he coordinates AS 61-1. He proclaimed liberty and victory to those that were already there. They were waiting for their sins to be paid for. And on the third day he opened up that place and took paradise up to heaven itself, so that now when we die we’re absent from the body present with the Lord, but if you died in the Old Testament you would have been absent from the body and present in paradise and you would have had to wait there till Christ died and after the three days he would have taken you up to heaven.

Okay, so at the current time they are all Old Testament and New Testament, saints are in heaven. That’s correct. Now, I know that there will be a resurrection of the body at the… Not the second coming, the rapture. The rapture, yes. Okay. Now, they go to be in heaven in their bodies with Christ. Okay. Now, during the tribulation, it mentions about the martyrs under the thrones. Who are they? Those have become martyred during the tribulation period. Only during the tribulation, not from Old Testament times.

They were already with him. Yes. Correct. So these are martyred saints and they don’t get the resurrection bodies till the end of the tribulation period. And that’s also when the Old Testament saints get their resurrection bodies as well. We in the church age get our resurrection bodies seven years ahead of the Old Testament saints. Okay, that’s what’s confusing. So at the end of the tribulation then, there is a resurrection of the Old Testament body. Right. And the tribulation thing.

Tribulation. Uh-huh. If that’s what we call, that’s prior to the millennium. Yep. And that’s called the first resurrection. Sometimes. At all the first. Yep. And really the resurrection of the rapture for us of the church age is really an exception. It’s a special resurrection all by itself. Okay, that’s what’s confusing. Then at the end of the millennium, then the unsaved are resurrected. That’s correct. And that’s the second. That’s the second resurrection. As it says in Revelation 20 verse five, the rest of the dead lived on again until the thousands of years were finished.

So that’s when the unsaved dead are brought forth and given their resurrection bodies that are cast into hell. Okay, so these others prior to the first resurrection or what you call spatial exceptions. There you go all of us are Okay, well that kind of gets it clarified for me. They’re not thank you very much. You’re welcome Mary Mary and Huntington Virginia West Virginia and we now have Clarence and Tampa Clarence. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air How are you doing sir?

My question is what are the qualifications? I mean I know you need to be born again and or anything else. It doesn’t really tell us but I think any believer could baptize another believer but I think it should be a meaningful observance and generally in the New Testament you see those who had led someone to Christ were the ones who did it. Philip led the Theo-Pin-Unik to Christ after he led him to Christ and others, but I really don’t think you want to demean water baptism by just having somebody when you go to a swim party just throw you under and say I baptize you because it is a very special remembrance of what the Christ has done.

We’re out of time. Thank you, Clarence, and we are glad that you all can’t tune in today. You can hear this program again and again on the internet at Bible.inministries.org.
