Discipleship is separate from and is in contrast with the doctrine of salvation. One believes on Jesus Christ to be saved, while one serves Jesus Christ to become a disciple. All believers are not disciples. All disciples are not believers. Being a disciple has absolutely nothing to do with a person’s salvation.

Got some exciting things in our online bookstore and you might want to take a look at some of the tracks we have. We have two tracks that are excellent. One is called a free ticket track. It’s kind of amusing and people like to keep it because it’s kind of fun as well as presents a clear presentation of the gospel. The gospel on there I personally wrote and so it is one that I would definitely approve of since I wrote it and it’s a real clear presentation on how salvation is the free gift of God.
We also have one called, Am I Going to Heaven a Quiz? This quiz has the answers inside why your works and your deeds can never save you, but you can only be saved through faith in Christ. It actually leads people to Christ all by itself. It is so fabulous and it’s a wonderful conversation opener and it’s powerful in leading friends and relatives to Christ. We have those in bundles of 50 or 100 and you can order those. Plus, the book we have on evangelism is incredible.
It is called a handbook to a personal evangelism. It is now in about six languages. We only have it in Spanish and English, but if you need to get it in another language, it’s also available, I believe, in Arabic, in Japanese, in Korean, in French, and I forget what other languages. But this is an incredible book that really is used to train you, how to lead someone else to Christ. They just had a conference in Egypt this past year, and hundreds of pastors in Egypt were were given copies of this book in Arabic, training them how to present the gospel in a clear fashion to those people in Egypt.
The church in Egypt is a persecuted church as in most Muslim countries where Islam rules Christianity is a persecuted religion. So pray for the people in Islamic countries that are Christians because many times they They are killed and of course we have that silent Holocaust going on in Africa where so far millions have been killed because they were simply Christians in a Muslim. the Islamic environment. Aren’t you glad we don’t have Islamic rule in the United States of America?
Because if that were the case, we would probably all be persecuted greatly. And obviously this is something that is a future threat to Christianity. We’ve got a great book by Hel Lindsey, which really helps you understand all of that. everlasting hatred. That title comes right out of the Bible. One of the best researched and best written books I think by Hel Lindsey that takes you from Ishmael and Isaac back in Genesis and takes you down to the present conflict between Christians and Islam.
And this is something that is incredible. Of course, between Israel and Islam, but also Christians as we fall into the category of infidels. Lots of things in our resource center. You can take it all out on our website and I hope you’ll take a look at it by the line ministries.org. In South Florida you can catch We’re on in South Florida on Channel 61 out of West Palm Beach on Table. It’s Channel 13 at 830 tonight. Our other television programs are on Thursday and we’ll announce tomorrow those times and channels so you can tell your friends and also catch us on Bibleline television.
If you have your Bible open, take a look with me and a couple of verses. We’ll take a look at the next slide. verses we’ll take a look at today. In John 6 we have a most amazing verse here in John 664. Jesus reveals to us that Judas was never a believer. That’s right Judas, the disciple. Judas the scariest was never a believer and he went to hell because he never trusted Christ the Savior. Amazing how many people think that Judas went to hell because he betrayed Christ or because he committed suicide at the end of his life.
But Judas went to hell because he was never a believer. Let’s take a look at it. John 6 verse 64, Jesus says, there are some of you that believe not. That is the key phrase. You’ll see it numerous times, especially in John’s gospel and in the book of Acts. But there are some of you that believe not. Now notice what Jesus says. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believe not. There’s that phrase again the second time in that verse and who should betray him.
And then Jesus goes on to identify Judas as one of those that believe not and being the one that would betray Christ. So Judas was a disciple but not a believer. not amazing you could be a disciple of Christ and wind up in hell. You could be a disciple of Christ and wind up in hell. Because you see discipleship living a Christian life does not save you. It is the shed blood of Christ that was shed at the cross and Christ death and shed blood alone that can purchase your salvation.
And so a person can be a disciple, a church member. They can be active in Christian circles. They can proclaim Christ and yet unless they trust Jesus as his death and shed blood as the only means of their entrance to heaven. They will not make heaven. Matthew 7 talks about a large group of people just like that that will stand before the Lord that apparently have been disciples but not saved because they have never trusted Christ. It says in Matthew 722, many Jesus says will come to me in that day saying, Lord, Lord, Don’t we preach in your name?
Didn’t we cast out demons in your name? And didn’t we do many wonderful works in your name? Boy these people were dedicated. They obviously recognized Christ as being the Lord. They followed His Lordship, were obedient to His Lordship. And look at what Jesus says in Matthew 7, 23. And Christ will say unto them, I never knew you. I never knew you. He didn’t say, I once knew you and I lost you. That’s impossible. Once you become saved, you can never become lost.
He says, I never knew you. Now they thought they knew the Lord, but obviously he didn’t know them. What was the problem? Well, they were doing exactly what the Bible says is forbidden. God’s plan of salvation forbids any boasting or bragging because human participation is eliminated. The Bible says salvation is not of works. It says it is not of yourself. Ephesians 2, 8, and 9 make it clear. In Romans chapter 3 it says that boasting is excluded because it is not based upon works but based upon faith alone in Christ’s shed blood and death at the cross of Calvary.
And so there is only one way to heaven that is to trust Christ. But notice in Matthew 722 they never mentioned that. They only mention Christian activities. I find much of evangelism today by popular evangelists and radio broadcasters and television personalities talk about the Christian activities that you might do, that you might become obedient to the Lord, that you might become and make Christ the Lord of your life and serve Him and so on and so on. And you’ll find that it It says in Matthew 7 that that very group saw those things as being the important thing to get them to heaven.
Many will come to me, Jesus said in Matthew 722 and say, Lord, Lord. And then they will say, Lord, didn’t we preach in your name and didn’t we heal in your name and didn’t we do many wonderful works in your name. And Christ said, I never knew you. Why? They never mentioned the death of Christ in his shed blood. If they had only said, Lord, didn’t we believe that you died and across the Calvary and shed your blood to pay for our sins and that you were buried and came back again from the dead?
Christ would have said, come right on in. It’s a subtle thing, isn’t it? I was raised with this where you were taught to follow Christ, live for Christ, serve Christ, be obedient to Christ and you would make heaven one day. It was obviously a false message because none of the things you and I might do will get us to heaven. Remember again, Judas was a disciple, but he went to hell because he never was a believer. That’s amazing isn’t it?
Now you can be a believer and not be a disciple, which for a year I know I was a believer but I was not a disciple. It was a year after I became saved that I chose to live for Christ and tell others about Him. But you know, I was saved and nothing could have undone my salvation. But you see, the discipleship brings rewards. The discipleship brings blessing and allows you to be a tool and instrument of righteousness for God.
You can bring people to Christ and get in on the joy of being God’s ambassador, God’s representative God’s instrument to bring about salvation in the lives of others by telling them the wonderful story of the gospel. But you can be a believer and not be a disciple, but you can also be a disciple and not be a believer. And I hope you can rightly divide the word of truth. You know, that’s what 2 Timothy 2.15 is all about. Study to show thyself approved.
That is at the judgment seat of Christ where rewards will be given out. He might be approved unto God as a workman, not a bookworm, but a workman, a workman, somebody who is working for God after they are saved. And then it says rightly dividing the word of truth, which means to set the truth of God’s word in right order. Unfortunately today there is not much in the way of good, solid Bible teaching anymore. It seems like people just pick and choose and they don’t care about the context of the passage or of the Bible.
If you have the correct interpretation, the Bible will be in harmony. Your interpretation will be in harmony with all the rest of the Bible. The Bible doesn’t contradict. The Bible doesn’t have error. The Bible is God’s word and God would not say one thing in one place and another thing in another place. This so-called false gospel of the Lordship of Christ cannot be right alongside of the gospel of the free grace and salvation by the shed blood of Christ.
Somebody has to be wrong and obviously the Bible is clear that we are saved by grace through faith. It is not of ourselves. It is the gift of God. It is not of works. any man should boast. I’m Dr. Englunds from Mrs. Byblind. It’s wonderful to be with you. Here in Florida we have a tropical storm or want to be hurricane coming through the northern part. We have just getting rain here in Tampa, Florida. If you’re curious, I know people have been calling me and say, are you guys going to be okay down there in Florida?
Apparently the news up north lets you feel like the whole state of Florida is underwater. But in any case, we’re okay. And We are just getting a little bit of rain here in any case give us a call here Bible and 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771 and we’d love to hear from you and we have a caller already waiting patiently Chris in Tampa, Florida has called in and Chris welcome the Bible and you’re on the here. Thank you very much Dr. Hank.
Good morning. I was reading a book recently and it referenced Luke chapter 10 verse 40 to 42 and I thought it was very interesting and I wanted to get your perspective on what Jesus’ attitude was toward Mary as opposed to Martha and how sometimes today we and being busy and hurried and everything important is being close to him. Well, I think you’re absolutely right. And if you’re close to him, then your works will follow, I think, as a natural outflow of your love and your worship for the Lord himself.
And I think that’s really where Christ is putting, the things in right order. And sometimes people put the cart in front of the horse instead of the cart behind the horse. And obviously, the first thing is, of course, to know Christ is your savior. and then to want to live to please him, and then as you flow down that chart, you will find that your service then will be, you know, beatings to what he’s asked us to do. And I think sometimes people are just, as we mentioned before, Judas being a disciple, but not even saved.
A lot of people are just blindly doing things and then don’t even realize why they’re doing them. But if we’re doing them for the right reason, do the amount of love and it says in 2 Corinthians 514 that the love of Christ constrains us. If we really have understood that He loved us and gave His life for us and that we owe our lives to Him that our service ought to be just out of love and appreciation and gratitude for what He did for us at the cross.
Yes. So I think that’s really what’s going on there with Mary and Martha is that the service there was just probably not coming out of worship and it needs to be the other way around. Yes. Well, thanks very much. Thank you for calling. That was Chris in Tampa, Florida. And we are wanting you to give us as a call if you like and the phone number again is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We have another Chris right now from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Chris, welcome to the Bible and this is Chris Day.
Two Chris’s in a row. Good morning, Professor Hank. Good morning. Fine, thank you. Good to hear your program. I enjoyed it. I don’t always agree with everything. My question this morning has to do. If someone is a blood shimmer. No, he won’t be a witness for Christ. Obviously, that affects our witness severely. That’s why the believer needs to really clean up their life and to be an effective witness. We have to obviously use good works as well as give out the message.
I think that’s the point that many people, The people try to convey to you is that even though the atomic surprise is special blood showing the cause of vision, the cause of destruction, we cannot be a good testament, a good witness. We don’t show that we Help him as Lord So I’m not I’m not referring to a witness, He’s a witness. If we don’t have a life that validates, then we are truly believers. And that is often the point of this.
of dispute with you with people, because you seem to be focusing on salvation. And you’re right, you’re making a very good point. Obviously, once you become saved, then works play a very, very, very important role. And that’s what James focuses on about how the believer needs to have good works and that we’re going to be evaluated at the judgment of Christ on the basis of our works for reward and heaven. And our effectiveness here is based upon whether we have good works.
Because obviously we just, we’re going to lead people to Christ. We have to initiate some type of contact and do some preparation in our part and then bring the message and if we are living a lifestyle that is really opposed to the A man. A man. Thank you for taking my quote so you have a question. Like it says, Matthew, good to be simply trodden under the foot of men. So we need to have our walk in our talk in line.
Amen. Amen. Thank you for taking my call so you have a blessed day. Chris, we’re on the same page with that. Thank you so much. And that was a good point that after we’re saved, definitely the believer ought to bring his life online to match. his position in Christ and his talk. We have Richard, down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Richard, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Yes, a little pastor. Hey, how are you? Good. And it’s an honor to speak to you.
I have a question. There’s a passage of the Bible that I find a little bit confusing. I know it in French, so bear with me. It’s the one that says, it’s since you’re a nor hot nor cold. That’s in Revelation chapter 3, right? It’s the church of Lea de Cia. and Christ says because you need a hunter cold I want to spew you out of my mouth he’s not talking about loss of salvation but loss of service or or witness each of the seven churches there are a lampstand a light in this world and each one of them I think are a prophetic picture of the past two thousand years of church history and each one of them failed in some area and we’re passed over and then God moved to the next church that is a picture of that period of history and the latest in church is one that he says you know that
unless you get it right I’m gonna obviously pass over you and you lose your opportunity to be a witness for me and that’s happening today are the churches are not a great witness anymore like they used to be sure my wife is Everything that I tell her because I’m able to demonstrate it because we can the Bible for the dead Both her that the Bible features that was is there passage that I could show them yes I say 8 19 and 20 is a very good one.
It talks about not praying to the dead and of course in Deuteronomy and Leviticus There’s number of verses there it refers to it as necromancy where you try to make contact with the dead or pray to the dead The Bible forbids that and we know that when a believer dies they’re absent from the body present with Lord 2 Corinthians 5 8 and They are not allowed to communicate with us or we with them the lost or in Hades and the same is true of them So if she wants to get a message To her mother then she can I believe asked Jesus who is the mediator to tell her mother something that she’d like to say to her.
And I believe Jesus will deliver that message. But I don’t believe that you can go directly to the dead. That’s forbidden. Isaiah 8 19 is a good one. Thank you. You’re very welcome and thank you for calling. That was Richard in Port Lauderdale, contacting the dead is forbidden. This present pope, if you’re reading what he’s saying, he says he’s in constant contact with John Paul. John Paul is apparently telling him how to make good decisions to be a good pope.
Amazing the Catholic Church teaches this kind of stuff of being able to pray to the Saints and contact the dead and so on and so on. That is forbidden in the Bible, and the pope himself is practicing with the Bible for bids. We are not to pray to the dead or try to contact the dead at all. If you do, you’re going to get fooled because that’s the area where Satan works and the dead will not contact you, but Satan’s angels will impersonate your aunt Hilda or your uncle Harry, and you’ll think for sure you’ve reached them, but that’s a deception on the part of Satan.
Bishop Pike, that Episcopal priest that was even so liberal in the theology of the Episcopal Church, kicked him out. His son committed suicide and he went to some of the most famous mediums in America and in North America supposedly made contact with his son. Although his son was not a believer, he said everything was wonderful where he was, there was no hell and all kinds of things that we know are just Not from God because that’s not what the scripture teaches.
And so the false message comes back when you go to this realm and he really thought he had contacted his son. He was deceived. Be careful when you try to contact the dead. Well, we are coming up on our break time here and very shortly we’ll go to break and then we’ll come back and do Bible on Part 2. If your station doesn’t carry the second half of Bibleline, you can go to the internet and catch the full program.
a full program you might want to do that by going to BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. Click on that spinning globe in the upper right-hand corner and youíll be confronted with two red buttons. The one weíll take you to todayís show the other to the Archives. We donít want you to miss any of Bibleline of course you can also color your station and ask them if they could free up the second half hour so that we could be on because usually itís a scheduling problem that is preventing us from being on the full hour on some stations.
You can still catch us though the full hour on the internet. That’s wonderful isn’t it? Anyway, I’m Dr. Hank Vincent. This is Bible and it’s great to be with you today. You are certainly welcome to call in and Be a part of the show and right now we’re gonna go to break and we’ll be right back. So don’t go away Don’t go away Bibleline. We’ll be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 That’s 1-800-576-3771 I’m Dr.
Englund Striman. It’s wonderful to be able to be with you today. And of course, we’re living in sunny Florida that today has clouds and rain because of the tropical storm going through, but at least in Tampa, we’re just fine with a little bit of rain and a little bit of wind. But we’re glad to be able to be with you. And thanks for tuning in today, wherever you might be listening from. We’re safe and we’re sound and we’re glad to be able to be with you.
with you. By the way, Bibleline is coming to you because of people that listen just like you who have partnered with us to see that the program continues on the air every day. Did you know that? We are supported by our listeners and your partnership is real. I mean, your prayers for us, we believe are vital and your gifts to Bibleline are vital able to pay those bills and make sure that we stay on the air. Most people don’t realize it’s expensive to be on the air and I don’t get paid, our staff doesn’t get paid, whereas lean as you can possibly be, more of your dollar goes right directly to pay for that radio bill than any organization I would think of because we, outside of phone bills and equipment bills and other radio related things, all the money goes to pay the stations
that we’re on the air with. And again, we don’t have a piggy bank, we don’t have a reserve account, we don’t have any pledges or subscribers or anybody who has underwritten the program, we really count on you, the listener. So maybe the Lord might lay it upon your heart to help us keep Bible on going. If you feel like this program has been a blessing to you and would help others, think about maybe setting a little bit aside every day.
If you just didn’t drink a soda pop every day and set a dollar a day aside and sent that to Bible, and that would really be great and would really help us. We’re not trying to get your money. Like Paul said to the flippin’ believers, I’m not trying to get your gift. I desire fruit that may abound to your account. You know the wonderful thing is as you give to a ministry that is doing something that is effective for God as I believe Bibleline is, you are going to accrue the fruit of the Bibleline ministry to your account in heaven when you get there, you are going to be saying, wow, I am so glad I invested in a ministry that honored God’s Word and is proclaiming the gospel of Christ and people are getting saved and are challenged and are growing as a result of it.
In any case, pray about it. We’d sure like to have you help us and be a partner with us. But if you don’t, we still love you just as much. And God bless you. I’m Dr. Englundsroom. We’re about ready to rejoin the stations that have been on break. If you want to call us, call that 800 number and you can give a gift by credit card over the phone. But don’t go away. We’re going to now do Bibleline Part 2 right now.
Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back for now, breaking. This is Bible, and we’re coming to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida. And we’re excited about being able to be with you, and thank you for tuning in and listening to the program. Thank you for praying for us and for those of you that give to Bibleline.
It is exciting. Our resource center here is open every day. You can come by up until about four in the afternoon if you’re in driving distance and or you can go to the internet and see the products we have in pictures of them and order them. We have some really dynamic stuff. We have a book called New Age Bible Versions. You will not be able to get it in your Christian bookstore. If they sold it, it would ruin their business.
But it really identifies the problems with 20% of the Bible. of the most modern translations that are out there that you have maybe in your library you might want to get this paid book that has not 700 and something pages in it that just really exposes what is going on here with the newer translations and it’s shocking in fact if you want a reliable Bible you might want to get a book like this we also have a number of books by Lewis Barry Shafer he found a Theological Seminary a hundred years ago and his books are just dynamic.
We have his book on salvation We have his book on grace. We have his book on I’m losing my mind here on the titles But we have about five or six of his books that are probably going to go out of print that will really bless you I like his one on Satan which really is that I open her on Satan his motives his devices and so on and you might want to take a look at some of the things we have in our resource center.
We’re going to go right now and again to the phone lines. We have a caller from Clearwater, Florida and we have Cynthia on the line. Cynthia, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning Pastor Hank. How are you? I’m doing fine. Thank you. Good. Good. I have a friend that told me that she has been searching for a verse that she recently found that she had been searching for it for 20 years and it’s second Thessalonians 2 13 having to do with traditions and she was searching for that verse because she really wanted her children to embrace that and understand what it means and could you explain that verse?
Well, the one that you just quoted is really about predestination. The verse you’re probably talking about is in Colossians chapter 2 where it talks about tradition. Let me just go over there. And if you look it up and you see maybe you have just the different chapter there, but Colossians 2 is a favorite of mine. It says, be where? Let any man spoil you. The word spoil there in Colossians 2 8 is a word that means to seduce. So be well as the name and seduce you through philosophy and vain to seek after the tradition of man.
So here’s that word tradition. Sometimes tradition contradicts the Bible. Sometimes tradition is a good thing. But you need to be careful when it defines here that we’re not to follow traditions after the riddance of the world and not after Christ. So if it is not biblical, then we need to reject that tradition. One of the verses is in Matthew chapter 15 where Jesus tells the religious leaders of his time that by their traditions which obviously contradicted the Bible, they had made the word of God of none effect.
Let me quote this verse for you. It’s in Matthew 15 and it is in verse 6 and it says here, You have made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. And then Jesus goes on to say in verse 7, You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy about you saying, This people draw near unto me with their mouth, they honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And here’s verse 9 which really is what tradition is all about.
In vain, they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. So oftentimes traditions are simply the commandments of men. These traditions get established in the church. Many times they contradict what the scriptures teach and that was the case here when Christ was speaking and he said that they worship me in vain. So because they missed the gospel and missed the truths of God’s word because they follow the traditions rather than the word of God, they are just wasting your time worshiping God because they are following the teachings of men, the commandments of men.
I hope that helps a little bit. Okay. So, does the word traditions, is it mentioned in 2nd Thessalonians 2.13? No, it isn’t. It isn’t. No. So, I think somehow we got that one mixed up with the other verses. Oh, okay. My two favorite on tradition are these Colossians 2 and and then Matthew 15 where it talks about traditions contradicting the Bible. Okay. Okay. And so, uh, This is a problem. I know my church that I was raised in had lots of traditions But I had to pitch out a lot of things that I had been taught when I realized it from the Bible they were wrong they were opposite of what the Bible taught and Obviously if you have a tradition and then you have the Bible you have to go with the Bible over tradition Every time and the Bible warns that you can be seduced
by tradition into believing falsely and in this case in Matthew these people draw new near to Christ with their lips and with their mouth they honored him but they didn’t know him because they had been seduced or had been taken away from the truth by following tradition. Many churches hold their traditions equal with authority with the Bible. And that’s scary because the Bible always has to win out. The Bible is the word of God and that’s the book we have to make our decision based upon.
Exactly. Well, I sure thank you for your call. I hope we’ve helped here. You have and thanks for clearing that up for me. Okay. That was Cynthia in Clearwater, Florida, calling in. We now have Pat in Virginia calling in and Pat, welcome to my blind. Yes, sir. I’m Pastor Hank. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your program. And my question is, what does it mean when people say they’re speaking in tongues? Does it mean it’s another language?
Well, today it doesn’t because all of them that are doing this are speaking in a gibberish and it is not understood by the person speaking it nor by the people that hear it it is just a gibberish and uh… i have books that have been written about this phenomenon where they’ve recorded the tons of their insist on taking them to linguist uh… in uh… different universities to study and they all basically uh… concluded it’s just repetitious bowels sounds in the language of the here or the speaker and they really aren’t saying anything.
There’s not any language there at all. And unfortunately that’s the counterfeit today. But the real gift was a known foreign language gift given to evangelize 2000 years ago. But that gift is ceased. Yeah, that’s what our thought was. It was actually a gift given and they really did speak in the language that God needed them to speak to. Absolutely. The Greek word in fact is quite specific in X2. It uses the Greek word dialectos which means a specific dialect of a specific language.
So it was quite specific just like in English. We have, look at how many dialects we have. If you go up in Georgia, they have a little different variety of English. And of course up in Richmond, you guys have a little accent there, a little dialect. And of course in New York or Long Island, you get a Boston, a totally different brand of English and if you go to England my goodness I have trouble understanding this folks and they’re supposedly speaking them other times so those are all varieties of English and if you were to give in the gift 2000 years ago let’s say one of the apostles got the gift of being able to speak in the dialect of English that they speak in Boston that would have been rather unique and that’s the kind of gift it was.
Okay, well, let me ask you something else. When they do the gibberish, is that the spirit of Satan in them? I think sometimes it can be, and I think sometimes it is, but other times I think it’s just the peer pressure. Everybody in the church, you know, wanting them to do it. And I’ve got a gentleman here answering phones today, today and he told me that when he got involved in that years ago which he’s now departed from it that they reached over and kind of grabbed his Adam’s apple and kind of shook it while he was talking to try to help him along and that obviously isn’t a gift from God if you have to help him along with the shaking their vocal cords.
Right. Okay, well thank you so much for taking my call. Well Pat, you’re very welcome and I have a CD on this whole thing about tongues and go over the passages in Acts 2 and in Corinthians 12, 13, 14. For a gift of $5 we can send that out. It really is pretty powerful. And also we have a DVD, 65 minutes of teaching where you look at my Bible and it’s a video presentation on tongues. Then we have a book in our Resource Center called The New Testament Teaching on Tongues by Merle Unger.
He is the author of the Unger Bible Dictionary and wrote a number of very, very good books. He wrote the book called New Testament Teaching on Tongues, which once you read that book, you will see that the modern movement is really a counterfeit and that it does not match up with the Bible at all and is really a counterfeit. It is a powerful, powerful book. I thoroughly recommend that for anybody struggling with the issue of tongues to get that book by Merle-Under.
We have it in our resource center. You can order off the Internet, off my website or call our 800 number and you can get that. We have Debra also in Virginia and Debra, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Yes. I just wanted to know a question. The Minister tell me that I’m dealing with it like a generation course. I have something like hanging around me at night, especially at night, and I’ve already seen his calls and I’ve seen the red out.
Well, that seems like a demonic experience that you’re having there, Deborah. The key is to make sure that you’re saved. If you get saved, then you’re going to have this leave you. You have to understand that salvation… I’ve been saved. I’ve been saved. Alright, well if you believe you can lose it, can you lose your salvation Deborah? No you can’t. Because I’ve had a drawing for God ever since I was a child. Alright, once you’re saved, you’re saved by faith alone.
You’re not trusting. Let’s say that you… My brother and father were dealing with me before it’s like magic and all that stuff. I had a person on me. Well, that curse can be broken, but I’m curious if you didn’t read your Bible or go to church or serve the Lord anymore and died. Would you go to heaven? Yes. I’ll definitely go to heaven because I know God loves me. Well you’re saved based upon Christ’s death and shed blood and once you’re saved you’re saved forever.
The Holy Spirit comes into the believer. And so it says in 1 John 4-4, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world, that’s Satan and his demons. So the Bible says in 1 John 4 that we have overcome them by virtue of the fact that Christ has saved us from hell and has given us the Holy Spirit who is God who involves in our bodies. So you really can have victory. Now Satan can influence you from the outside, but I believe what you have to do is stay in the scriptures and I hope that you are reading the scriptures and whenever these experiences come I would not be afraid to quote scripture out loud or go and start reading your Bible immediately.
Also, what kind of music do you play around your home? I’m a godful. Alright, you got to have good Christian music and you need to be aware that… And I listen to WGTM. Good for you. Well Deborah, you’re on the right track and we’ll certainly pray for you, but the demons cannot involve you. Excuse me, but explain the thing. Why does this black cloud or whatever it is, and I’ve seen the cause, I’ve seen the red I mean, it had me, it’s the one time I had a bobble bundle of my toe across around my neck and the cross was lost and the chain was broken to the million pieces.
Explain what I’ve been dealing with all these many years. Ever since I was 13, I felt something standing behind me that wasn’t supposed to be there. When I was like 16 to 29, I turned 36 years old. I kept staring at me. I’ve had those released. I’ve had a whole lot of things falling off. If you are genuinely saved and they will not come back into your body because the Holy Spirit falls in your body and there is no deal in the West.
Well, this is very important that you make sure your children are saved and that you stay close to the Lord because obviously Satan doesn’t like to let go. He lived in me many, many, many years. He wants to get revenge if nothing else. This is what it’s all about. You just need to be strong in the Lord. I would be in your Bible on a regular basis. Make sure you attend a good sound fundamental Bible teaching church and that you stay close to the Lord in prayer and in reading His Word.
Did I ever send you my CD on how permanent is your salvation? to send that to you and I think that’ll be a real help to you if you would let us I think we sent it last week. Have you ever received it yet? I was listening to it night for last. It won’t play the whole thing through. Really? Well we’ll be glad to send you another if you like. Yeah and we’ll try to get one that won’t skip on you but it could be your CD player also but I think you need to listen to that several times Deborah and we’ll certainly be praying for you.
Let me ask, do you have any information like law and generation for a food or anything like that? Well, Merle Unger that we mentioned a moment ago about this thing about tons has written a couple of good books on demons and he covers those kind of things. We could get one of those for you if you want to order one through our Resource Center. Okay. Call back and talk to our operators about getting the book on demonism by Merle Unger and we’ll get it for you.
Okay. Alright. Thank you now. And we’ll send her another, sounds like it’s her DB CD player rather than our CD because we don’t usually hear those complaints but we’ll glad to send you another one if it didn’t work. I think that’ll help you a lot. We’ll be praying for you. We have Ethelen in Fort Lauderdale on the line here and Ethelen, welcome to Bible One. Yes, Pastor. You’re on the air. Hold on one second, let me turn off my radio please.
I will. If you’d like to get a copy of today’s radio show, you can call in and order that. People are calling and already asking for a CD copy of today’s show. And all you have to do is call our operators and ask for a copy of that and for a gift of $5, plus shipping, we’ll send that out to you. Everyone are you back? Yes. I have an article. I just want to share a small part of it regarding the hurricanes we’ve been experiencing 698 about Hurricane Katrina.
And this was written by Scott Stevens with a man for Channel 6. Are you familiar with that? No, I’m not. Go ahead. In Port-Catello, Idaho has left his job of nine years in order to pursue another calling pursuing this rather controversial theories about weather manipulation. He has a website where he lays out his case that scale-aways and other man-made technologies are responsible for the freakish weather that has been occurring around the globe. He feels that he has proof that Hurricane Katrina was manmade to the train.
I see the shapes of clouds and cloud formations are a dead giveaway. Well, that’s a part of it. I just want to read another little part of another article. I want to send you this thing. All right. Send it to me. The options KGB have been developing and extensively testing around the globe. technology for over 30 years and have weaponized these new longitudinal scale arrays. They are in place and reportedly first destroyed the submarine treasure in the 1960s. Our sources say that it was used to destroy numerous launches of spy satellites and possible the space shuttles.
I just want to read a little bit more. Well, I believe that scientists have tried to do that. I don’t know that it’s ever been demonstrated that they could affect whether they tried the seating of the clouds with the ideas, crystals and different things like that. I really feel like these hurricanes and the more severe storms and things that are happening in our world today are part of God’s wake-up call to bring people to come to know Christ. I think God is behind these storms as he, it seems like to me that he brings them to areas where there’s the greatest amount of unbelief or maybe sin, you know, the areas that were struck by Katrina, there was full of sin and gambling and New Orleans and so on.
And you’ll find that the tsunamis and the earthquakes many times come upon places where There is great darkness, the Islamic religion is in sway and these people need to be awakened to come to know Christ and maybe through these disasters would seek the Lord and find Him. So I… . Thank you for that call and I do want to have you send that material to me to take a look at. But I really think that there’s a bigger picture than even if men were manipulating it.
God is doing this. If you read Luke 21, 25, Jesus said in the last days that there would be the raging of the seas. And I think that’s talking about these violent storms. and it talks about how to be signs in the heavens. And upon the earth there would be distress of nations. We see all of those today. And Jesus says in Matthew, rather in Luke 21, 28, when these things begin to happen, then you need to look up, lift up your head and look up and watch because Christ coming is drawing near.
And I think we’re getting near to the return of Jesus Christ. It’s coming quickly. By the way, we also have a 65 minute DVD teaching on discipleship available. We talked about how you can be a disciple and not be saved. But true discipleship is something that should follow salvation where you live for the Lord. We define what it is. I believe that a lot of books on discipleship you’ll find in your Christian bookstore are really off-base because they don’t focus on the true purpose of discipleship.
When Christ recruited his disciples in Matthew chapter 4 verse 19 he says, follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Follow me and I’ll make you fishers of men. By the way we’re excited about being able to go on the air in Cincinnati, Ohio on WCV X 1050 on the AM dial. Also going on the air in Lexington, Kentucky, and we’re already on the air in Kansas City, Missouri, and we’re also on the air in Memphis, Tennessee, and in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, many other places.
We’re excited, of course, now in Honduras, Central America. God is opening doors for Bibleline. And again, we thank you, those of you that give to and pray for Bible. And because you are in the dispensable part of all this, the programs in Honduras will not cost us anything. They’re free. And sometimes we get an airing of our program for free. But many times it costs and we do require your help to be able to pull that off. And of course, if we can’t pay for it, then we have to go off the air in an area unless it’s supported.
Pray that we might be supported continually in your area and continue to expand outwards through Bibleline. You can send a gift by mail or you can give a gift by credit card over the phone. You can of course call that 800 number and now our prayers will recite the address so you can mail to us or they’ll take your address and send you an envelope. It’s already printed on it for you so you can send a gift that way however you want to do it.
But we do need your help. This is a wonderful time to help us in the summer when people are going on vacations and things are kind of a little up and down and all around. We could certainly use your help here at Bibleline. So consider giving a gift to Bibleline and helping us through the summer to take care of all of our stations and make sure they stay on the air. We are inviting you to call us here at Bible and at 1-800-576-3771 and you’re welcome to leave a question on air or off the air.
If you live in an area where you’re hearing the program at a different time than when we go live here, you can leave an off air question. We’ll try to answer it the next day and you’ll hear it on the air when it is played. The radio program is aired in your area. But also, if you watch your clock, you could call, even though you’re not hearing the program on your station at that time, call during the live broadcast here, which is at 10am Eastern Standard Time till 11 and you’ll be able to get up on the air and then you’ll hear yourself on the radio with the answer to your question as well.
So you’re welcome to do that. If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you need to put your trust in Christ because the only way to heaven is through Christ. Christ is the way, the truth and the life. And it is Christ who is the Savior, so when you trust his death and shed blood that he died for you was buried in rose again from the dead. God saves you and he saves you eternally. That is the best news you’re ever going to hear in your life.
And then once you have… He received Christ as your Savior in the gift of eternal life by trusting his death and shed blood. Then you need to make a second decision where you become a disciple. That’s where the blessings come. That’s where the joy comes. And every believer ought to become a disciple of Christ. And that’s where you see God doing great and mighty things. You experience a victory in your Christian life and you see God working in a wonderful way.
