Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-08-03 – Afraid to Witness?

The word “gospel” means good news and the gospel of Jesus Christ truly is good news. The simplicity of the true gospel has been a stumbling block to many down through the centuries. It seems that man in his pride always wants to add something to the finished work of Christ.

Oh. a part of that. I’d be honored to be the one to baptize you. If you have trusted Christ as Savior, then you’re eligible to be baptized. It doesn’t save you. It’s a testimony of how you’ve been washed of your sin by the butt of Christ. The water is merely ceremonial, but Christ has asked all of us as believers to be water baptized a picture of our salvation. So if you do not have a place to be baptized, a church that you attend that you would feel comfortable having to baptize you, then we invite you to join our baptism.

If you have your Bible handy, you might want to get it out and we’ll take a look at some of the passages of Scripture today that I think you will enjoy and then we’ll take our callers. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. In Romans chapter 1, the Apostle Paul tells us in verse 16, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. What an incredible verse that is, it tells us that the message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ is the message that brings salvation to a lost person.

When they believe that message, this message, the gospel, is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes it. Whether you are Jewish or your Gentile, you need to trust Christ as your Savior. If you haven’t done so, then you will not enter heaven according to the Bible. And those that trust the gospel message, that message is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes the message. Paul begins this wonderful letter here to the Romans in verse 1 by saying Paul a servant of Jesus Christ called an apostle separated unto the gospel of God.

So here the gospel of Christ is called the gospel of God. It’s the good news message and this is where Paul separated himself from everybody else. And it was all about this message. In this wonderful book of Romans, sixteen chapters long talks about this wonderful message, what it is, what it is not, and how we are to be true to the message of the gospel. It is a message that was also available in the Old Testament. I was just talking about that earlier with someone, and it says which God promised, This is Romans 1 and 2.

It says here, A 4 or B 4, by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures. So in the Holy Scriptures in the Old Testament, God gave the gospel message. It says in verse 3, this message was a message concerning His Son. Jesus Christ, our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh. So here the prophets had told that of the lineage of David the Messiah would come and he would be of the flesh directly related back to King David.

And then verse 4 declared to be the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead. What separates Christ from all the other religious leaders of the world is the fact that Jesus, when he died, came back from the dead. All the other religious leaders of the world are dead men. You can visit their tombs and they’re dead. If you were to cry out, hello, Mohammed! What would he say? Nothing. He’s dead.

Hello, Buddha! What would he say? Nothing. Hello, Confucius, what would he say? Nothing. He’s dead. If you go to the Tomb of Christ, it’s empty. He leaves an empty tomb as a witness to the fact that he came back from the dead. And this is the demonstration that this is the true Savior, the one who died for our sins, but also then after three days and three nights came back again from the dead. And so Paul begins right off in Romans chapter 1, tells us that this gospel message is the power of God and dissolvation to everyone that believe it, that he was an apostle and he was separated unto this gospel of God.

And then he tells us that the Old Testament prophets had foretold it long before it happened, the people of the Old Testament were saved the same way by faith in the coming Savior. And then it tells us that this Savior was God’s Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, and then tells us that He was physically related from the flesh back to King David, and that He came back again from the dead to demonstrate that He was indeed that Savior. Whereas all the religious leaders of all the world religions are dead men and they cannot hear your prayers, they cannot help you, they cannot save you.

There is only one Savior and that is Jesus and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life and no man cometh unto the Father but by me. I hope you have trusted Christ as your Savior because that is the only way you can enter heaven and you can do it right now. You can just tell the Lord, Lord I am a sinner. all are. But I believe Jesus Christ died for me. I trust that he died and shed his blood for me, paying for my sins at the cross was buried and rose again from the dead.

The moment you trust Christ to save you, to forgive you, to become your Savior, to be your only hope of heaven. God of an heaven knows and he saves you and you’re saved forever and ever and ever and ever. Why not do it right now? Get this thing settled. And you can know and be assured of going to heaven because God says so. And when you believe God, that settles it. Because God’s not going to lie. He’s not going to trick you.

He’s not going to mislead you. You can be absolutely certain of going to heaven. Well, I’m Dr. Englunds from This is Bibleline and we’re going to go to the phone lines and we have Jeff down in Venice, Florida. And welcome to Bibleline, Jeff. Say how you doing, Dr. Lunsford, my question for you and forgive me, I don’t have my Bible in front of you, so I’m going to make you think here. I’m sorry. Just popped into my head and I was thinking about it.

There’s a section, I think it’s in either first or second John where it talks about all the way from the faith. We could explain that. Well it’s saying that some of those that departed out were never saved to begin with. And you know I think there’s a lot of folks sometimes that are in churches that might be professing to be a Christian if you were to ask them if they were, they would say so, but really haven’t ever understood the gospel and trusted Christ as their Savior.

And later that’s evident sometimes when they walk away. And so it says in 1 John chapter 2 is what you’re referring to verse 19, they went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they had been of us, they would have continued with us, but they went up that it might be manifest that they were not all of us. So basically they kind of drifted off because they weren’t genuine believers at all and that’s what this is talking about here.

But obviously for us, you and me, we need to just give everybody the test. In other words, we need to ask them specific questions and to find out if they’ve understood the gospel. One of the good ones is can you lose your salvation? And if they say they can, then you can know they’re probably not saved because that means they’re trusting in their works because they’re saying that what they do between now and death is what will ultimately determine their salvation.

So they’re really trusting in themselves and how they’re gonna live their lives out. rather than trusting Christ in his finished work as the means of their salvation. But this sometimes can surprise you. People that you thought were saved are not saved. And you can’t tell by just looking at somebody. I know some people will look at somebody and say, well, you know, Aunt Mildred, she’s such a wonderful person and she has that Bible by her side and she attends church every week.

week and if anybody is a Christian she is. And then there is Uncle Harry and why he never tends church and he doesn’t ever seem to look at his Bible and doesn’t seem to care about the things of God and he is for sure not a believer. And you really can’t tell. You can’t tell them all. You have to ask Harry and Harry might say, yes I have trusted Christ. I’m not living for him right now but I have trusted him as my only hope of heaven and Harry is saved and Mildred might be playing the part, but when you ask her about her salvation and she says, well, yeah, I’m trusting in keeping the commandments and the fact that I was baptized and I’ve united with the church and I’m sure that my good works are going to get me into heaven one day.

Well, Mildred, although she looks good on the outside, is not really a believer on the inside and therefore she’s not saved. As far as the salvation issue, at the moment of salvation, I don’t want to ask you this. I’m glad you brought that up. At the moment of salvation, many of us know so little Christ, and I know I really didn’t know a thing. I needed the trust Christ and I gave everything over to him. How much information is truly needed?

I grew up in a comic works, and I believe I truly found salvation, listing that type of message and attending that faith. But what you were just saying about the, you know, and I’ve heard you say before about salvation, messages or salvation plans, you know, how much information is truly needed? Because I know, you know, some people’s salvation plans may be skewed, but they truly do… Well, I don’t think you have to know a whole lot, but basically what the person has to do though, the one condition for salvation is to simply trust in Christ alone as their Savior.

If you are trusting in Christ plus works, then you really haven’t understood it because you’ve got the counterfeit message which basically makes you a part of the equation when Christ alone is a Savior. But I don’t think you have to know a whole lot. I don’t I don’t think anything about the virgin birth. Maybe I did, but I wasn’t a conscious thing to me when I got saved. And I didn’t know about other major doctrines of the Bible. I just knew that Christ died and that He offered eternal life and that it was a gift.

If I, according to John 3 16, would put my trust in Him, I would not perish, but I’d have eternal life. And I took that verse to be true and literal and I did. And I remember thinking in my mind that if I didn’t go to heaven after I had trusted Christ, like John 3 16 said, that God would be a liar. And I just knew that couldn’t happen. You know, it looks funny. Sometimes I think all the different theologies and stuff actually hinder the faith because Paul talked about the simplicity of Christ.

And I think a lot of the doctrines and stuff really, really mess it up and actually complicate it. So thank you very much. You’re very welcome, Jeff, and thank you for listening in today. God was Jeff done in Venice, Florida, a beautiful part of Florida, south of Tampa. And we welcome you to give us a call here at 1-800-576-3771. We have Tim calling in from Lake Worth, Florida and Tim is witnessing to people and he is witnessing that we are saved by grace.

But the people that he is witnessing to, he says here, as he leads this question off air, are asking him about Revelation 3.15 which says that Christ would spew these out of his mouth. That’s speaking there to the Church of Laodicea which prophetically is a picture of the modern-day church today where it is lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. And really Christ is saying there not that he would lose you, but he said that you make me nauseous. So that I want to throw up.

He says, I’ll spew you out of my mouth. Well, there is there a loss, I think, of our opportunity to be a witness for Christ as each of the seven churches in Revelation two and three are a lampstand. They are a light in this world. And as each one failed, God went on to the next one in the prophetic progression over the past two thousand years. God moved on to each successive one to be a witness for a particular period of time until they failed and then God moved to the next group.

So you can lose your witness, you can lose your testimony, you can lose your joy, but you cannot lose your salvation. And certainly when you take a verse like that that’s not really that clear, you don’t ever want to contradict a clear one. And what I would recommend to him is like John 637, Jesus said, him that comes to me, I will in no wise cast out. So he’s certainly not going to cast someone out from salvation. So the spewing out of his mouth cannot be a loss of salvation because that is a clear verse in John 637 that he would in no wise cast out anyone that has come to him.

But what he’s talking about there is loss of service or loss of the privilege of being a light in this world. And that basically he says, you make me sick, you make me nauseous because you’re not standing with me. And the Bible says he that is not with me is against me. So these are Christians that are kind of our middle of the rotors and God wants us to take a stand. You know, basically if you’re in the middle of the road you either find yellow lines or dead skunks and that’s about what you’re finding in the middle of the road.

Don’t be in the middle of the road. Take a position and stand up for God. He also quotes here John 811, people are telling him, go and sin no more. Jesus is saying that there. But there he’s talking to the woman caught in adultery and is telling her to not commit adultery anymore. So it is impossible for anyone to live completely sin free. Now we are not to go out and seek the sin, but yet we have a sin nature.

John the Apostle says sixty-something years after he is saved in 1 John 1 8, if we, John includes himself, say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. I’ll never forget many years ago. I talked to a lady and she said she hadn’t sinned in eight years. I said, is that right? I said, don’t move. Stand right here. Just don’t move. I’ll be right back. And I went and got my Bible. And I read first down.

I started to her in the Bible, first down one eight. I said, how do you explain this? It says, if we say that we have no sin, you just said you hadn’t sinned in eight years. The Bible says that you’re deceiving yourself and the truth is not in you. Well, obviously that caused her little grief because she had to change her story a little bit. She said that she committed errors, but she didn’t sin. She had a way of defining it away.

But we all sin. And we will continue to sin till the day we die, even as Christians.Drag, we’re going out and doing flagrant sins like killing people or robbing banks or mugging little old the ladies in the park and so on. But it’s talking about, we have a sin nature that everything we do is in suddenly attended by sin. You know James defines sin. He says, if we know to do good and do not do it, then that is sin.

So if you just know that you have responsibilities that you’re not living up to as a believer, then you’re sinning and not being obedient to do those things like praying, reading your Bible, attending church and witnessing to the lost and etc. But thank you Tim for calling in and just keep up the good work and keep the Bible going out. Becky in Michigan calls in just a minute ago and leaves a question. She says the Muslim religion versus ours.

We do not serve the same God and she doesn’t seem to believe that. Can you clarify? Islam believes in the moon god just look at any prayer tower They call a minarets in the Muslim faith and at the top. There’s a crescent moon. They pray to the moon Islam believes that Allah is the moon god and they prayed to the moon and obviously it’s a false religion and It’s not even close to Christianity in fact the main teachings of the Quran The Gospel message says in the core end that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God.

That Jesus Christ is not the Savior. That Jesus Christ did not not on the cross of Calvary. That Christ did not come back from the dead and so on and so on. So the people of Islam are lost according to the Bible. We need to pray for them, but they don’t have the same God. They have the moon God. We have the bay. We have the God that created the moon. So obviously their God is a false God and we believe in the God of the Bible who created the Sun, the Moon and the Stars and the whole universe.

Thank you Becky, listening up there in Michigan, on several stations in Michigan and God bless you. Thank you for tuning in. We are about ready to go to break so we want you to keep your radio dial tuned right where it is. And of course we are concerned that if you haven’t trusted Jesus alone that you would do that. Just whisper that prayer that we mentioned earlier, God I am a sinner and that’s true of all of all induc but I trust Jesus Christ as the one who died to pay for those sins was buried and rose again from the dead.

The moment you do that my friend, God saves you. I hope that you would be right now. We’re going to go to break keep your radio dial tuned right where it is. Go away and we’ll be right back to do the second half of Bibleline. So stay tuned. Keep that radio where it is. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Incklin. This is Bibleline. It’s wonderful to be able to be with you.

Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. I do want to thank all of our listeners who pray for and give to the Bible and because you are the lifeline that keeps this program on the air. I really hate to talk about money and if I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t talk about it. But you know, it’s a part of God’s plan that we partner together. This Bibleline adventure, getting the word out on radio and television is certainly much bigger than me and also bigger than my church.

And quite frankly, we don’t have enough money to pay for it all and we couldn’t pay for it without your help. And so it is a real partnership between our listeners and us here at Bibleline that makes it possible to pull this off. Your gifts certainly make this program available to the people in your area plus other areas as well. So if you would consider praying for, we would appreciate that very much, Bibleline, but also consider maybe giving a regular gift to Bibleline.

That would help us. I personally am not paid to be on Bibleline nor is our staff and we Obviously don’t have any salaries with 5 line. We really are probably the low budget Christian organization out there because we don’t really have those expenses. But, we’re ready to cost a lot of money and all of our other expenses to get this program out costs money and we need your help to be able to continue it. So maybe you would consider getting a gift.

be just a dollar a day or a dollar every day you listen to the program. If everybody that listened did that, we would have more than enough. But consider giving some kind of a gift. Maybe you could give much more. And if you can, that would be a real blessing. But let me encourage you to consider not only praying for Bibleline, but to give you a partner and give to Bibleline. You can send a gift to Bibleline and you can also do it by credit card over the phone.

Call my operator, operators and they’ll be glad to send you an envelope with our address printed on it. They’ll be glad to recite the address for you so you can copy it down and send a check. Or you can just give them a gift by credit card over the phone. You can also get a resource list and order resources that will help you and will earn something from that to help Bible on the earth that would be great as well.

If your station doesn’t carry the second half of Bible on go to the internet and you catch the full program and also if you’re able to hear it stay tuned we’re going to now join other stations that have been on break and come back and do Bible in part 2 so don’t go away. We’ll be right back in just one moment. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline. and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We certainly invite you to drop by anytime we have classes on Tuesday night again this coming week and finishing up first and second thessalonians. What a wonderful series this has been. You can order the CDs and be as though you were right there in the classroom and some exciting material I think you’re gonna really enjoy that series.

So I hope you call our operators and maybe order the 10 CDs, the 10 hours of teaching on 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. Also coming up here in Tampa, we’re having a baptism on the 3rd Sunday. If you’re in driving distance and you’ve not been water baptized since you have been saved, then we would be honored to be the one to baptize you. Water baptism doesn’t save. It is a testimonial of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Jesus.

Only Jesus’ blood could wash away your sin. Him writer wrote, what can wash away my sin? Answer, nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Water will not wash away your sin. So if you have not been water baptized, since you have been saved, in other words, infant baptism doesn’t count. You didn’t even know what was going on when you were baptized as an infant if you were. Usually that sprinkling anyway, it’s not really baptism.

Then if you were baptized before you were saved, well again you weren’t giving testimony to anything because you weren’t saved. You didn’t know about salvation. And so really true baptism takes place after you’ve been saved. And if you’ve not been water baptized since your salvation decision, then you ought to do that. And we’d love to have you be a part of ours on August 20th. We’ll have a dinner that You can come in the morning for a Sunday school in an adult education at 9.15.

You can come or at the 10.30 time for the morning worship. We’ll have a dinner. You can stay for dinner. Be my guest. And then we’ll kind of do a little motorcade just north of where we are to a beautiful lake. And we’ll have the baptism at 3 in the afternoon. So consider being a part of that. You can call and get your name on the list. And we can also get to a map and give you directions. You can meet us at the baptism, or you can attend the functions here at Calvary Community Church, including a wonderful dinner that day.

And you can be our guest for the dinner. Pray for us as we obviously want to continue to carry by a blind in your area and expand it out to the world. And right now, 140 countries have logged on to the internet. We have over, we’re coming up on 11,000 listeners a month, listening to Bible and on the internet. That is incredible. So we have a wonderful audience in addition to those who are listening to the live broadcast on the radio in your city and other cities across America.

But we’re also broadcasting this program down in Honduras and Central America reaching to Guzigalpa, the capital of other cities where our TV program by blind is on air in Mongolia. That is incredible, but the Lord has opened that door for us and we’re excited about what God is doing. And we know that this is our television day. Today is Thursday and tonight at 6.30 we’ll be on Direct TV nationwide. If you have Direct TV, it’s on channel 321, World Harvest Television Channel 321 and that’s at 6.30 tonight.

At 7 we’re all over the West Coast of Florida on table everywhere from Port Myers to Crystal River over to Orlando and you might enjoy watching the by blind program at 7 tonight on WLCF or the CTN Network. We are going to go back to the phone lines and we’ve got a number of off-air questions And so we hope that you’ll give us a call here at 1-800-576-3771. And we have several questions here. We’ll go ahead and take Tyler in Clearwater, Florida.

How do we get the number 666 in Revelation? Verse 18 of chapter 13. Well, it says there that the number or the mark of the beast is three score and 603 score and 6 which is 666 and so that is the number. There’s probablyShipping of meanings to that, but certainly one of the meanings is as the Antichrist comes on the scene, he will proclaim to the world that he is God. I believe God is saying by the number 666 as man was created on the sixth day that he’s just a man He’s just a man.

He’s just a man Now what is interesting is that Jesus who really is God that the Religious leaders He ejected him and said he was just a man when he was God. You know, when they heard Jesus say in John chapter 10, I and my Father are one, they took up stones to stone him. And Jesus said, for what good work do you stone me? I’ve done many good works for my Father, for which of those good works do you stone me?

And they said, for a good work we stone me not, but for blasphemy and because of that being a man, make us thyself God. so they heard his claim that he was god in human flesh and they said he was only a man but the anacrist will be proclaiming that he’s got to be accepted as gone when he is only a man so i think that’s one of the meanings also uh… there are other meanings which i believe it has to do with the probably maybe the the uh…

identity card that according to what i’m hearing by the year two thousand eight everyone in america will have this identity card with a chip in it, but then that’s the prelude I think to put the mark in your body which will have a number that will allow all of your monetary transactions to take place for youposted for you to be tracked and so on and so on and that number 666 will become very meaningful in identifying that system and tying you to the enterprise.

Tyler, I hope that helps. Tyler in Clearwater, Florida, thank you for calling in. We have James in Auburndale, Florida and he says, How do we adjust to the 1000 year reign or how will we adjust? I really don’t know what you mean by that but we will obviously get brand new bodies and we’ll come back and rule in reign with Christ and of course we’ll never die and we’ll be alive forever and ever and ever. But the actual subjects of the millennium are those that get saved after the rapture during the seven years of tribulation, millions and millions will get saved.

And those millions that survive the seven years of tribulation and the Battle of Armageddon will be invited to enter into that thousand year kingdom where Christ will rule on the earth and the earth will be at peace. So I don’t know if there’s much of an adjustment to make. Certainly not for us will be in our eternal bodies, but for those that are in our human bodies. It will be a wonderful adjustment, obviously, to go from a world of sin and war and injustice to a world of peace and no war and perfect justice as Christ will be really over the earth.

Off the air, Jeff calls in from Venice, Florida, and he says, where in Isaiah is the verse that the Jehovah’s Witnesses get their name from? Jeff, good question. of answer is Isaiah 43-10, where God says to Israel, not to the Jehovah’s Witnesses, you are my witnesses, and of course that very verse proves the Jehovah’s Witnesses to be false because he says in that verse to those that are Jewish, that are his witnesses, You are my witnesses say that Jehovah and then he says before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be a God formed after me.

Well the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Jesus is a created being, that he is a God, not the God and he was created after Jehovah or Yahweh. So that very verse that they take their name from proves them to be a false religion because As they claim Christ is a created God created after Jehovah or Yahweh and proves that they are false. The very verse they take their name from exposes them as being false witnesses. Kelly in Bradenton, Florida calls in and she says what is the best book to read about in times?

We have James and Auburn Nill, and so we’re going to talk to James for a minute. James, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Yes, that’s awesome. I was talking about the thousand year reign, and the question was, basically, will I see Adam there during the thousand year reign? And if I do see Adam there during the thousand year reign, it’s going to have a shock in the computer.

So that’s what I meant. Oh I see well I guess so but I think everybody from the past will be just brought up the speed rather quickly but all of the saints will come back and rule and reign with Christ and I personally think that will be invisible to those that are in our mortal bodies but yes Adam would be there among all the other believers as will all be ruling and reigning with Christ during that thousand year reign of Christ.

So yeah, I guess it would be quite a shock for all of them to see the advances in technology since they were around. That’s what I was meant to say, because I was saying the knowledge that we have now, we wouldn’t go back to his time, that would be a shock to us. We did notortment. You’re absolutely right, James, and I agree with you. It would be fun to see how it all works out. Very good. All right. We have Jim in Richmond, Virginia, who calls in and says, there are three earth ages, three heaven ages.

Please explain what they’re talking about. Well, I’m not too sure if I know what you’re talking about. But in 2 Peter chapter 3, it may be what you’re talking about. The Bible talks about a past earth, a present earth, and a future earth, along with the the atmosphere around the earth which is what is probably referring to the heaven being the atmosphere in this particular case. There are three different words used in the Bible for heaven. One is the atmosphere, one is the planetary heavens, the space that we see out there beyond the earth and then there is heaven itself which is beyond all that, beyond the horizon of the universe.

But Peter talks about prior to Adam and Eve that the earth was created perfect and we We know from other passages we believe inhabited by dinosaurs and plants and animals. And angels lived on the earth and we believe Lucifer was put as the god of this world and ruled over the original earth. That was destroyed when Lucifer tried to overthrow heaven and the earth became voided without form as we find it in Genesis 1-2. But then Peter talks about a present earth that is kept in store by the Word of God until after the thousand year reign of Christ.

And then the present earth that we’re experiencing right now will be destroyed by fire in Revelation 3 and then it says in Revelation 3 and then it says in Revelation 3 and then it says in Revelation 3 and 13, nevertheless we wait or look for a new heavens and a new earth. So that’ll be the… The Heaven is referring to the atmosphere around the Earth. This Earth will be renovated or cleansed by fire and will have a perfect Earth to enjoy in eternity once we have our new bodies and so on.

We have Mike in Seminole waiting on the line. Mike, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the Earth. Hi Pastor, good to speak to you. One comment quickly Adam and he would probably be impressed with technology today but maybe we should remember that Adam named all of the animals and those names and was able to recall them. So, you have a smart person anyway. You’re absolutely right. I agree. That’s a good point. Adam had quite a bright mind, didn’t he? you know a lot of parents can’t even figure out what to call the kid much less uh…

adam naming all the animals we had never uh… you know obviously had any past thing to draw on there was no uh… book to go to and and say here’s some possible names name them you know so uh… yes quite impressive okay yes and uh… my question was could you explain please uh… uh… dispensationalism for me sure Alright. And I’ll hang up if I can and I’ll listen to you on the radio. Beautiful. The Scofield Bible, which I love so much, I use the old Scofield Bible, has some pretty good definitions.

Basically, dispensation is a period of time with a beginning and ending where man is tested in regard to some specific revelation from God. Each of the dispensations and scofield lists seven, which I believe is probably the right number, be in failure. The first dispensation is called the dispensation of innocence, and that’s when man was in the garden. And obviously they were only given one thing that they had to worry about. Now was that they were not to eat of the tree, of the knowledge and good and evil.

when Adam and Eve took of that tree, that dispensation closed with man and his failure. They’re cast out of the garden. Now, the next dispensation begins with the dispensation of conscience. And obviously, that failed as we come to the time of Noah and all of the people on the earth had corrupted themselves except for one family. So their conscience was not good enough to guide them and the man fails. And so that ended that dispensation. And the next one following is the dispensation of human government, where Noah was given authority to be able to take the lives of those who would maybe take the life of another human being.

So the highest, you know, authority therefore would be human government. Now being instituted where man could judge other men and had the power authority to take another man’s life if they were to take someone’s life and so on. So each of these dispensations move along in the Alden and failure. There are three named by name in the book of Ephesians. The dispensation of grace is the dispensation we’re in right now which began at Pentecost will enter the Rapture. Ephesians 1-11 names the dispensation of the fullness of times, which is the Millennium, and that is when the heavens will rule over the earth and so on.

But if you have a skill field Bible, it will guide you through all the dispensations. If you don’t see those dispensations, then you can really get confused as you read your The dispensation of law has been put on pause and so we are not under the law. Right now in this present dispensation we are under grace. So that is why we do not offer up animal sacrifices and observe the Sabbath and so on. All the other things that were under the Old Testament law.

Hopefully that helps a little bit and thank you for the call. We now have Tim and he is calling in from Plant City, Florida. Tim, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Thank you, Dr. Hank. I’d like to say that I’m listening to your program to go I dedicated my life to Christ. Wonderful. I had a question concerning fossils. And maybe you could… Gentlemen, before I spoke about the Earth Ages, maybe you could explain a little bit about dinosaur fossil or eutheria on that or what’s your thoughts about that.

Alright, I’ll be happy to. I believe the dinosaurs lived on the original Earth and when Satan or Lucifer led his rebellion from the earth to heaven and was cast back down that God judged the earth and all life on the planet was extinguished and that is described in Genesis 1 2. And so today we find the fossil- remains of that original earth and the cold deposits around the earth are fossilized vegetation and the oil deposits are fossilized animal life and you’ll notice there’s large pockets of them caught and trapped underneath the surface of the earth.

What caused that? There obviously had to be some cataclysmic judgment upon the earth and this wasn’t and It couldn’t be explained just by Noah’s flood. This had to be more than that. We believe that apparently a huge maybe asteroid struck the earth. NASA at least says all life on the earth was destroyed. You’ve done so.
