What is your testimony? I believe this term is so misused that most folks don’t even know what is their testimony. In churches people are often asked to give a testimony. Usually someone will volunteer and say that their testimony is that God has healed them of some illness, or has helped them through some difficult crisis, or that God has provided for some particular need, or that God has led them into some particular ministry, and etc.

And of course you can be live on the air asking your question if you’d like. What about your testimony? What is your testimony? I believe this term is so misused that most folks don’t even know what is their testimony. What do I mean by that? Well, in many churches, people are often asked to give a testimony.
Usually someone will volunteer and say that their testimony is that God healed them of some illness or helped them through some difficult crises or that God has provided for some particular need or that God has led them into some particular ministry, etc. Well, these are really praise reports of answered prayer or God’s wonderful provision, and we ought to give praise, but technically they are not a testimony. Also, when people think of a testimony they often point to your life.
They talk about what you are doing or not doing. They say how you are living your life is your testimony. The Bible says that the way we live our lives should adorn the gospel, but technically our Christian life is not our testimony. Our Christian life is important and should adorn the testimony that has been confirmed in us. The Bible tells us in Titus, exhort servants to be obedient under their own masters and please them well in all things, not answering again, not purlointing, but showing all good fidelity that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior.
In all things Titus 2, 10. Well, what is then your testimony? Well, in 1 Corinthians 1, 6, we learn that the Corinthian believers had the testimony of Christ confirmed in them. Let me quote the verse for you. 1 Corinthians 1, 6. Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 1 Corinthians 1, 6. By the way, every believer has the testimony of Christ confirmed in Him or Her. Our testimony is really the testimony of Christ which we embraced when we trusted Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Notice that Jesus warned Paul that he should, quote, make haste and get quickly out of Jerusalem for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me. concerning me, concerning me, acts 2218. So Paul’s testimony concerning me and Jesus is the one who is speaking is obviously the testimony concerning Christ that Paul had received. Please note that Jesus told Paul that his, that is Paul’s testimony, was concerning Jesus Christ. The eye testimony concerning me, that’s Acts 2218. And what Jesus had accomplished at Calvary, so Jesus told Paul that the Jews in Jerusalem would not receive Paul’s testimony, but later Paul tells us in his letter to the people at Pecilonica that the Gentiles at Pecilonica believed his testimony.
Second Pecilonians 1-10 says, When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all of them that believe because our testimony among you was believed in that day. In other words, at the return of Jesus Christ, many believers will admire Jesus Christ because they were saved hearing the testimony of the Apostle Paul. So bottom line is your testimony is therefore the message of the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Jesus Christ that you embraced at the moment of your salvation when you trusted Jesus Christ is your Savior.
Or in other words, the gospel is your testimony. Paul says in Romans 1-16, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth to the Jew first and also to the Greek. So the gospel of Christ was the testimony of Paul, the apostle. Paul’s testimony was the message that he preached, which was the message or the testimony about Jesus Christ. This testimony is confirmed in every believer.
Again remember 1 Corinthians 1, 6 where it says, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you. When Paul the Apostle witnessed or gave his testimony, he gave the Gospel. No. 26, 22, and 23. When giving Paul’s testimony, Paul said this is what he would do. HOPE, having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both the small and great, saying none other things than not which the prophets and Moses did say should come. Are you ready for this?
That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first to rise from the dead and should show light under the people and to the Gentiles. Clearly Paul witnessed both small and great telling about the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ. That was Paul’s testimony. And obviously he’s telling us that’s exactly what he was doing. He was giving his testimony there in Acts 26, 22, and 23. In the book of Revelation we learn that Satan, who is the accuser of the brethren, is cast down.
The believers have overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb or because of the word of their testimony. For the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accused them before God day and night, Revelation 12-10. Verse 11 says, and they overcame him Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Their testimony was that they trusted in the blood of the Lamb as their only means of salvation. If I were to ask you how you were saved, hopefully you would give testimony to the fact that you trusted in the blood of Christ.
John the Apostle tells us that his testimony is the testimony of Jesus that he received. He says in Revelation 19-10, I am Thy fellow servant and of Thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. So that is here. He says I’m your fellow servant and I’ve got you. That have the testimony of Christ. Every believer has the testimony of Christ. Every believer has that testimony confirmed in them and that is the testimony that were to give.
Paul the Apostle when giving his testimony to the elders of the church and Ephesus said that he kept nothing back that was profitable unto you but have showed you and taught you publicly and from house to house quote testifying both to the Jews and also to the repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. When warned that his life might be in jeopardy for preaching the gospel, Paul said none of these things move me neither count on my life dear unto myself so that I might finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify.
Are you ready to testify? This is Acts 20 24 which I received of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of the grace of God. So Paul when he gave his testimony testified to the gospel of the grace of God. Every believer since the day of Pentecost is a witness of Christ. Jesus said in Acts 1 8, You shall receive power. After that the Holy Spirit is come upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem in all Judea, in Samaria, and under the othermost part of the earth, Acts 1 and 8.
Your testimony is therefore to testify about Jesus Christ and proclaim the scriptural record concerning Him. Let me go down to 1 John 5 where it says, This is the record that God hath given to His eternal life. This life is in His Son. He that has the Son has life. that has not the Son of God, has not life. These things have I written, God says unto you, the believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know, K-O-W, that you have H-A-V-E, eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
So when you give your testimony, you should tell how the Lord saved you by His grace through faith, how How this testimony is not of yourself, it is the gift of God, how this salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast. So when you are called upon to give testimony, I hope that you will tell of the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ, which is the power of God unto salvation, and those it hear your testimony if they believe it, which is the testimony concerning Christ that God gave in the Scriptures, they will be saved.
And like as Paul said in his letter to the Thessalonican believers, that one day when Christ comes back and the believers admire Christ, it will be because they believed Paul’s testimony that he gave in the city of Thessalonica. I’m Dr. Inchlin from This is Bibleline and we’re going to go to the phone lines in just one moment. The phone line is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And while we get ready to go on the air and take the offer on the air questions, let me say that on our website we have a flash video intro, 6 and a half minutes.
And you can take and add that to your website if you’d like absolutely free of charge as a way of getting people to be presented with a gospel on your site. And it’s free. All you have to do is click on that little link right next to your, right next to that intro when you see it come up on our website. It’s right at the very beginning and it’s six and a half minutes long and we have many, many businesses and Christians putting this on their website.
We’re so excited about this and we want you to know that you can do that too. So again, go to my website BibleLineMinistries.org here.com and you’ll see the flash intro and either at the bottom or on the right side is a place that says if you have a website you can have this video intro on yours. I just looked at one this morning that has it on his and people are adding him every day and that’s exciting. The Gospel will be getting out.
will be saved through our websites and that’s exciting. Alright we’re going to go to the phone lines. The number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have several questions that have come in here off the air about being divorced. And one is… From Mr. Anonymous in Clearwater, Florida. The UN elders of deacons divorced prior to becoming part of the church. And also Larry in Lakeland says the question of elders in the church, what if they were unsaved when they committed adultery and got divorced, then became saved and have not committed those sins.
Well, it doesn’t really say that in the scripture. If you read 1 Corinthians 13, rather 1 Timothy chapter 3 and also Titus chapter 1, it says basically that those offices need to be held by men who are husbands of one wife. And I think that means exactly that. I think what’s going on here is that you have a role model for all of the families within the church and if the leaders have been divorce, then they’re going to say, well, it’s all right for me to get divorced also.
And so, and it’s hard today to find men who qualify anymore because so many people have been divorced, to find somebody who has not been divorced to elect as a deacon or an elder is a very difficult thing. But I believe that that’s really what it’s referring to, not that divorced men cannot serve because they can serve in mighty ways and be great tools for God in leading people to Christ and serving within the Church. But I think elders and deacons are to be husbands of one wife.
That’s 1st Timothy 3 and also Titus chapter 1. We have Kurt calling in and he calls in from Oldsmar, nowhere. Oh so Charlotte Bill New York, and he asked about Revelation 22 12 and so I’m going to get my Bible And we’ll take a look at Revelation chapter 22 verse 12, and hopefully we’ll come up with an answer here for you Revelation chapter 22 verse 12. I’m almost there That’s the last chapter of the Bible and in chapter 22 verse 12.
It says Because, ah, and behold I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be. That verse is talking about the Second Coming, and Christ will come back, and he will reward all of the Old Testament saints and all of the Tribulation saints at the beginning of the thousand-year reign of Christ. And all the unbelievers will be killed by Christ and cast into the everlasting lake of fire. So Christ is coming quickly.
Obviously when you look at it in the big scheme of things, Peter said one day is with the Lord of the 1000 years and 1000 years as a day, and perhaps he is alluding to the recreated week where basically all of history for mankind is really limited to seven years. That each of those seven days represent a thousand year day of human history. And it certainly seems to fit that there were 4,000 years between Adam and Christ, 2,000 years between the first coming and the second coming of Christ, which is six days.
And we’re at the end right now, those six days or 6,000 years of human history, the seventh day is called the Day of the Lord, which is a thousand year day of peace on earth, good will toward men. And that thousand year of peace or rest is the picture of the seventh day when God rested. The whole earth will be at rest for a thousand years delivered from the curse. Christ will be ruling over the earth. And so perhaps it’s rather quickly.
After two days, Christ would return, and those two days are thousand years in length each. All the air, Linda, in Oldsmar says, if we are not going to have graven images, does that mean that it’s not okay to hang a picture of Jesus on the wall? Personally Linda, I don’t do that. I have no pictures of Christ in our church. We just don’t allow it because we believe it does violate the Second Commandment. Number one we have no idea what Christ looked like.
There is no photographs, there is no written description of Christ, but we do know that most of the paintings are wrong. If you’re painting Linda has Christ with long hair, then that’s not Jesus hanging on your wall. Christ, we believe, had short hair. It says in 1 Corinthians 11, 14, does not even nature itself teach you that it’s a shame for a man to have long hair. By the way, the hairstyle in the time of Christ was short hair.
The Roman Caesar obviously set the trend. His haircut, if you’ve seen the statues, was short off the ears, off the neck. Give me a lot, thank you. Citadel. cheering. We’re going to do. We’re going to do that. And if Christ is going to do that or going to do that. If we do that. If we do that. If we do it. Well, we’re going to a lot of that to a lot of that to a lot of that. That is the new moment of talk of coming up.
That’s absolutely pointing him out to the soldiers because he looked just like everybody else. The hairstyle in the time of Christ was short hair. Just look at the statues of that time. I’ve been to Israel 13 times. I’ve traveled all over the Middle East. I’ve gone to the museums. I’ve looked at the statues and you don’t find statues with people with long hair. You just don’t find it. They all had short hair. We have been diluted in these latter days and the pictures of Jesus with long hair, I believe, are wrong.
I was actually at a convention in Miami where Mr. Solomon, who painted the famous long-haired picture of Jesus the Solomon’s Head of Christ, and I was curious as he told how he came to paint that. And he said that he had a vision in his bed in the middle of the night. He jumped up and sketched a little bit about what he saw in his vision, went back to sleep and proceeded the next day to paint this popular Solomon’s Head of Christ that you see hanging in so many churches.
Obviously he did no research, he saw some kind of vision, but it didn’t come from God because Christ did not have long hair. So look at the picture you have, if it’s long hair, then you re-name it and it might be somebody else, somebody probably from the Renaissance period that had long hair. But in the time of Christ, they had short hair, Christ did not have short hair. Plus, I don’t believe we should have an image of Christ or any graven images in our home.
Read Exodus 20 where you have the Ten Commandments and verses 2 and 3 very clearly tell us not to have anything like that in our homes. Off the air we have Pete Gordon and Rick from St. Pete, a calling in from a Bible study they have and the deception of Easter. Can you please explain where it all came from? Well, I have several sheets that you can download off my internet site or you can call them over to you.
But Easter is the name of the mother of Bail. In the Old Testament, her name was Astroth. If you just put your thumb over the last three letters, it’s Ashtar. The English form is Easter. Her son is Baal and is the counterfeit of the Lord Jesus Christ. When Constantine declared the world to be Christian in 321 AD, the worship of a mother and her son, Astroph and Baal, became the worship of Mary and Jesus. And so the Mary of Catholicism is really not the Mary of the Bible.
She is given titles like The Queen of Heaven, The Spouse of the Holy Spirit, and other titles that are unscriptural by the Roman Catholic Church, and she is not the Queen of Heaven, but yet in the Old Testament, Astroth in Jeremiah 44 is called the Queen of Heaven, and how Now people would offer offerings to her and to worship her and pray to her and so on. So this is a false system that is crept into Christianity. We have the book in our resource center called Two Babylons which really goes into great detail about tracing this system from the Tower of Babel right down to this present hour.
So if you want to get that book Two Babylons it will really enlighten you and you can trace this history from the beginning pages of Genesis in chapters 10 and 11. Thank you for calling in Pete Gordon and Rick in St. Pete from a Bible study they have. We have Albert in Richmond, Virginia. He has a friend that is a seventh-day Adventist and he said that the only difference is that they go to church on Saturday. Is this true?
The answer is no, that’s not the only difference. It’s major. The Seventh Adventist Teach works for salvation. I hope your church doesn’t Albert teach works for salvation because works have to do with the Christian life, but nothing to do with our salvation. Salvation is not of works. Ephesians 2-9, lest any man should boast or brag. But the Seventh-day Adventists have this strange doctrine. He was invented by the Seventh Adventist and taught by Ellen G. White. She is their infallible interpreter of the Bible.
They’ll never get straight as long as they keep reading her books. They need to pitch them all out and just read the Bible. But they taught that Christ was going to come back in 18, I forget what it was, 64. And he didn’t come. So they said they had the date right but the event wrong. They invented this crazy doctrine that Christ went into the holy of holies and began what they called the investigative judgment. Their Christ is examining your works and mine to determine whether we are eligible to be saved and enter into heaven by grace.
So it makes grace a work and makes salvation by works and ultimately what you are saved or not is based upon this investigative judgment. It’s nonsense. It’s not in the Bible. It’s wrong. Also, the Seventh Adventist teach that Satan is the ultimate sin bearer, that the scapegoat back in Leviticus was really Satan who the sins related upon him and he was sent out into the wilderness, a picture of Satan taking away our sins. They have many strange and false doctrines, including they don’t believe in hell.
They believe in soul sleep and I can go on and on, but the Seventh Adventists are clearly, clearly wrong and they need to be prayed for in one to Christ because as long as they’re trusting in LNG white and their investigative judgment and salvation by works and by keeping the commandments, they are not going to go to heaven. They are depending upon keeping that to go to heaven. Well, it’s great time and we’ll be back after this short break.
Go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right, I’m Dr. Englinsford, Mrs. Bibleline, and it’s great to be with you. We have Jeff in Tampa, Florida on the line Jeff welcome to Bibleline How are you today? I? Had a question my wife was asking me the other day kind of how we know what and you know what we should hold to and what we should not hold to by the law or our freedom. I was reading in Galatians, advising the Galatians about our freedom in Christ and things like that. And you know, when you just reference holding to certain days and even in Galatians it says you’re holding to days and feasts and months and things like that.
So what are we supposed Sinnoh and what are we not supposed to do? Well, the law from Mount Sinai was given to Israel and it was not given to us Gentiles but it doesn’t mean that we’re to break the law but we’re really under a higher law today. It’s called the law of liberty, it’s called the law of love and basically Christ that all the Old Testament law is summarized by love that if we love our neighbor we’re not going to steal from him.
If we love our neighbor we’re not going to lie to him. If we love our neighbor we’re going to covet his things and so on. So basically if we love the Lord we’re not going to take His name in vain and so on and so on. So basically it’s a different look at the whole thing. It’s not because thou shalt not thou shalt not but it’s because God says now that you are born again, my laws are written in your heart and out of love will wind up fulfilling them.
And so it’s not that were to be law breakers, but were to be law-abiding and obviously keeping his word from the heart and not because of the letter of the law. But we’re not under the Sabbath. That was given particularly to Israel. If you read Exodus 31, it says several times in that chapter, it was a sign, just like the rainbow was a sign God would never flood the earth again, a sign that between Israel and God. particular sign that kept the Jewish people unique down through the centuries and separate from all of the groups and they still are uniquely worshiping on Saturday as they have done for thousands of years.
And that Saturday we believe was a picture of God’s grandeur scheme of things that I alluded to in the last half hour that there are seven days in the re-creative week and that each of them probably represent a thousand years of human history and we’ve just now The church is called the Lord’s Day, the Day of the Lord, and the whole thousand years the earth will be delivered from the curse that came about because of man’s sin back in the beginning of the first day.
and the earth will be a marvelous place to turn that rule of Christ. So I think there are bigger pictures that were forecast by all of those things in the Old Testament including the special feast days that God gave the Israel in Leviticus 23. The Passover picture is now the cross as Christ died as the Passover lamb. The unleavened breads pictured as burial of his sinless body. The feast of first fruit pictured as resurrection, Pentecost pictured the beginning of this new age where God would turn to the Gentiles and all of these happened literally on the day.
They were all pictures. And so those were all types and pictures and now that’s behind us and now we should really serve from the heart. But we’re not under the law. I know it’s difficult a difficult concept for people to follow or find, but especially the Sabbath which the Seventh-day Adventist insists upon. They say that if you worship on Sunday, you have the the mark of the beast, if you worship on Saturday, that’s the mark of the living God.
And obviously that’s a distortion and not true. And the Jews still worship on Saturday, but we believers have been given a new day to commemorate Christ’s resurrection the first day of the week, which is Sunday, and it’s not the Sabbath. And we picked that day because Christ chose it for us as a day to celebrate the fact that He’s risen and has delivered us from the curse of the law. In the Old Testament, if you didn’t keep all of the law, one man in Numbers 15 was caught picking up sticks on Saturday and they stoned him to death.
So with a death penalty, if you did any work, if you did any yard work on Saturday or picking up any sticks on Saturday, you were a candidate to be stoned to death. So I’m glad I’m not under the law. I’m glad I’m under grace. And that doesn’t mean that I can now murder and steal and break those laws that God gave from Mount Sinai, but I keep them for a totally different reason. I hope that helps a little bit.
Well, it does. I think more what I’m talking about, like some things like, you know, when a woman is clean and unclean and when you can do certain things, and I think it’s like saying homosexuality or the dietary law that this is you know that i heard i think it was last week talking about shrimp in uh… i guess it’s dirty and you know the testable to the lord will so it’s almost I think it’s homosexuality, but people will eat shrimp with no problem because we’re free, but homosexuality is wrong.
So I think… well there’s a difference there because uh… you know first teddy tells us about the eating that uh… there’s nothing and clean for us to eat today as long as we give thanks to god and and thank you for the food that we’ve keep been given. But there are good rules there for us to pay attention to so we don’t endanger our health. But there is no taking away of the fact that homosexuality is wrong. So in the New Testament though it says that definitely we can eat anything now so that has obviously been a change.
So I think you have to just read and examine everything carefully in its context. There are many good things for us to learn principles about how to live and how to eat. We have a great book in our Resource Center here called None of These Diseases, written by medical doctor. I think they’ve sold millions of these. It is an incredible book titled from the Old Testament from the Book of Exodus, where God told the children of Israel that if they would follow his rules, that they would have none of the diseases that came upon them in Egypt upon them and he shows how that good health and following the principles of the Bible go hand in hand and that is really a treasure to read.
I’ll tell you, it opened my eyes to a lot of the things that are significant as far as following them even though we are not required to. We should keep a lot of these things and eat certain things in moderation. Homosexuality has been wrong even before the law given from Mount Sinai. God destroyed Sodom back in Genesis 19. That was hundreds and hundreds of years before the law ever came from Mount Sinai where it clearly spelled out homosexuality as being wrong.
Thank you, Jeff, and great to hear from you. We have Dr. Allen in Kansas City, Missouri, calling in, he’s giving an offer question about receiving the Holy Spirit simultaneously when you believe. The problem in this passage, Dr. Allen, is that it’s this translated there in your King James, when Paul asked the question of these disciples about whether they had received the Holy Spirit or not, it says in Acts chapter 19 that it came to pass that that when Paul’s was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper coast and came to Ephesus and found certain disciples.
Verse 2 says, he said to them, Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? If you have a scofil which I do, it helps you here because the word sense should be translated when. That was a bad translation. So the real question is, did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? So it is simultaneous with belief. I think yesterday or the day before we covered Ephesians 1,13 which says, Having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise.
So immediately upon belief, or simultaneous with belief you are sealed. And obviously these Paul talked to were not saved as they did not have the Holy Spirit. Romans 8, 9 says, If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. So Paul led them to Christ and they received the Holy Spirit here in Acts 19. But the question is worded wrong in the King James. It shouldn’t read since it should read when. So the question should have been did you receive or have you received the Holy Spirit when you believed?
And of course then Paul discerns because they did not have the Holy Spirit. They were not saved. He leads them to Christ and they get saved. I hope that answers the question for you there in Kansas City, Missouri. We have David in Dunedin Florida and David, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. David, are you there? Yes, I’m right here. Okay. Question, you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. Good morning. Dr. Hank, I have a question in reference to Gershahn Solomon.
I’m a gentleman I realized made a second visit I believe recently and the building of the temple and I’m just curious as to how, where did he receive his, I don’t know where to use commission in order to do that is that some self-appointed or just one. I think it’s a self-appointed thing he claims that God has called him to do that, but he was on the Temple Mount when Mosheldiahan conquered Old Jerusalem in the Temple Mount, and he, like so many Jews, wept and cried because this is the first time they could come to the Temple in 2000 years, and of course their desire has always been to rebuild a temple and he took it upon himself to do something about it and so he founded the organization Temple Mount Faithful.
He is unsaved, he’s an Orthodox Jew, he does not believe Jesus is the Messiah, we’ve tried very hard to lead him to Christ but if he gets saved obviously he’ll be gone at the rapture with us and won’t be around to rebuild the temple so I suspect maybe he’s not going to trust the Lord but I pray that after the Rapture that the blinders would come off as it will with so many Jewish people around the world I hope you’ll press the Lord then I’d like to see him get saved, but I don’t have any guarantee of that But definitely somebody’s gonna rebuild that temple and he might be the guy Understand I appreciate the clarification Very much you’re very welcome David in done Eden by the way We had a wonderful evening and all of that is available on DVD We had two DVDs for a gift of $30 that covers everything from the get-go to the end and
Including a walk through of the temple mount that Gershon brought on video that we have included in there part of the program that night And you’ll really thoroughly enjoy that we also have four CDs that cover the whole event for a gift of $20 Four CDs or the two DVDs I would prefer the DVD came out great the quality of the video and the sound is perfect So you might want to get that if you missed that event. We have Dale in St.
Petersburg. Dale, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah, I was just listening to the caller yesterday talking about the homo search. I think a lot of people, I think the reason that we are What I think about Dr. Hank Lindstrom is that it’s because we allow the doctors’ lifestyles to come in in our TVs and people living in illicit relationships and it has affected our Christian culture. I believe that all these other things, you know what I mean?
Well I think we are really going down, down, down, down, down, down and like the frog, if you put him in a pot of hot water, he’ll leap out but if you put him in warm water and just he’d have slowly he’ll cook to death and i think we’re cooking ourselves to death right now with sin and uh… and our whole society’s going down uh… rapidly and most most watch programs that are based on the whole most sexual agenda to try to get people to laugh at them and most the average creation of all the other than what and big nothing of it well you absolutely right and uh…
and uh… and the hollywood is that a tremendous impact on bringing our moral levels down down down down down down and it’s a part of the end times the Bible said that evil men would go worse and worse and they would deceive and be deceived and so this is what we could expect as we approached the last days. Evil would take over and I don’t think we’ll ever recover our country to where it used to be. I remember those days as a young person when we never locked our doors, our windows and doors were unlocked and open and we really felt safe.
I wrote a bus all over Miami as a boy, 10, 12 years old and none of our family didn’t have any fear. I had no fear and you wouldn’t do that today. It’s not the same world at all. Sure do thank you for calling in that was a caller from St. Petersburg. We have lots of offer questions today. We have Armando in St. Petersburg and he asked about Isaiah 6520, a new heavens and a new earth. Well, it’s in the New Testament as well, 2 Peter 3.13, also Revelation 21.1 John says, I beheld and lo the first heaven, the first earth would pass away and I saw a new heavens and a new earth.
So this earth This is going to be destroyed at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ and God is going to create a new heavens and new earth and that’s where we’ll spend eternity. Armando, that’s Revelation 21 verse 1. Take a look at it. Thanks for your call. We have anonymous and clear water. I think we already answered this one, but let’s see. It says, if we are in the church age and not under the law, which is for the Jews, why Why do we then in the church age have to be baptized to keep the Lord’s Supper, which was given to the Jews and not to the Gentiles?
Well, that’s certainly not true. You’ve got some bad information there, Mr. Hanlonamis. The water baptism was given to this whole Gentile age from the very get-go. In fact, Christ in the Great Commission said that we were to go into all nations and make disciples of them and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28, 19, and 20. Christ said that lo, He would be with us until the end of the age, which is the end of the church age that we believe that began at Pentecost.
We have on our website some online books, and one of the books we have there is called rightly dividing the word of truth by C.I. Schofield. But right under that, we have wrongly dividing the word of gone by Harry Ironside. And you can read that book, but it will tell you that obviously you’re not reading your Bible correctly. I’m sure you must be of a bent that says that the church didn’t begin at Pentecost, but it began at Pentecost.
and it was a Gentile age from the very get-go. That’s why God gave miraculously the gift of tongues at Pentecost so that all the Jews that got saved at Pentecost were saved in a Gentile language. And that’s because it was a Gentile age from the very beginning. And the Lord’s Supper and baptism were given to all of us in this church age. And if you read 1 Corinthians 11, It says the Lord Supper takes us back to the cross and forward to his return at the Rapture.
So that takes you right away back to the cross of Calvary even. And so it was not just for the Jews. I’m afraid that you are mistaken. We now have Ivan in Hopewell, Virginia, calling in. And she says, could I explain Revelation 12, 1-6? Well Revelation 12 is talking about a woman, and the woman has the sun and the moon, and tall stars on her head. And that takes us back to Genesis where we have the dream of Joseph.
He dreamed about the sun and the moon and tall stars. And it turns out that it’s a picture of Israel, and the woman is Israel. And the woman was to bring forth a man-child that is Christ who is the rule of the world. Jesus came and Satan, it says there, the dragon was sitting there waiting to kill Christ as soon as he was born. Satan knows that Christ is the one that would ultimately defeat him. And so Satan hates Israel and you see that depicted well in that chapter, Revelation in chapter 12.
I would love to recommend to you my 12 hours of teaching on the book Revelation verse by verse and you can follow through all those verses and I explain them very well in my 12 hours of teaching on my Revelation series and you can call and order that and have it shipped to you and you will be able to look at all those passages in Revelation seem to be difficult. They become real clear and we hope that you’ll take advantage.
We have Rick in Brandon, Florida, off air says, is it true that Satan used to sit at the right hand of God? No, that is not true. That is certainly, I don’t know where you got that, but it’s certainly not true. Satan never sat at the right hand of God. Satan was Lucifer, and he did rule over the earth that was originally created with plants, animals, and dinosaurs. And all of the angels of God lived on the earth and were under the rule of Lucifer, but he never sat at the right hand of God.
We have Edgar, now in Richmond, Virginia, and Edgar, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Dr. Hank is a blessing to, once more here, your veritable precepts getting over the air. My question today is for St. Mark 833. I’m trying to write the divide this word of truth and I don’t believe that Satan inhabited Peter. So what exactly was Christ in his verse rebuking? Well, you know Satan obviously can influence the believer cannot involve the believer and and did not indwell Peter, but Satan was the one behind this whole concept that salvation could be had apart from the cross of Calvary.
And obviously when Jesus announced here in verse 31, if Mark 8, it says he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and of the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again. And then Peter began to rebuke Christ because he didn’t want to see Christ die, which I could understand. But obviously to not have Christ die was of course means that salvation wouldn’t have come about.
And that was a scheme on the part of Satan, not anywhere else. He’s behind the scenes many times things that we think we think of or things that we come involved with really have Satan as the master mind behind them all. He’s the God of this world even to this hour. And so that I hope will be your answer. It was not Satan in Peter, but Satan influencing Peter with the concepts of this world. And that is what was going on there.
Thank you for your call. If you’re in Richmond, Virginia, and hopefully you’re getting a good clear signal up there today, we know you had some problems over the past couple of weeks. we look forward to hearing from all of you again as you listen on WGGM AM820 in Richmond. By the way, we’re on a Memphis, Tennessee. I haven’t heard from you guys lately. Give us a call on AM1380 in Memphis and we’re on in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’re on in Lansing, Michigan, Flint, and Saigon, Michigan, and Lexican, Kentucky and all over the place including Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
And we welcome all of you folks that are listening in these different stations across America. We’re going to have to go. I hope everybody has trusted Jesus as Savior. If you haven’t, you could just say, Lord, I am a sinner. We all are. But I trust Jesus as the one who by his death and shed blood paid for my sins was buried and rose again from the dead. When you trust Christ as your only hope of heaven, God saves you.
And you’re saved forever from that point on. Then you need to make a second decision to serve the Lord, and that brings about blessings and rewards. So if you’re a believer not serving the Lord, you ought to become a servant and need to make that second decision that brings about joy and blessings and rewards in your life. But salvation is a free gift received by simply trusting Christ as Savior. Don’t forget to watch our television programs tonight at 630-100- Then you need to make a second decision to serve the Lord and that brings about blessings and rewards.
