Good morning and welcome to Bibleline great to be with you today. Thank you for tuning in. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios at the Calvary Community Church.

This is Labor Day and we are working on Labor Day. Bringing this program to you live and so hopefully you’ll take advantage and call in with your question or your comment. You’ll have an opportunity to get in on the program today. I hear the phone already ringing and you’re welcome to call in at 1-800-576-3771. Hopefully you’ll have a wonderful day today as we talk about the scriptures and you go about your business with your family. And we want to let you know that you’re welcome to drop by during the week, usually Monday through Friday, but this week Tuesday through Friday, come by until about 4.30 in the afternoon will be open.

And you can take a look at our resource center. We’ll get a chance to meet you and you can meet us also. You can come by on a worship day. When we worship on Sundays at 10.30 in the morning, 6 PM in the evening with adult education and Sunday school at 9.15. If you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to drive over and visit with us. The third Sunday of this month will be having a dinner like we normally do.

Come at 10.30, be my guest, bring your appetite, Bible and family and stay for the lunch that we will have right after the morning worship service and you’re my guest. We’re also going to be having a baptism. If you’d like to get in on that list, you can call in and talk to our operators about getting on the baptism list and being baptized. If you’re not in driving distance and you’d like to get our Sunday sermons, they’re available on CD.

You can, in fact, set up a subscription where we’ll send them to you every month right to your home. You would get four or five CDs a month, including all the Sunday messages. So take advantage of that. We’ll be starting some classes beginning September 19th. These two hours per night from 7 until 9. We haven’t decided what class we’ll teach next, but we’ll announce that shortly here. And we’ll have a great time. We just finished first and second Special Onions.

Those 10 hours of teaching are available on CD. That was a spectacular class. Had a great turnout and a great time in the classroom. We invite you to sit in that classroom by getting the CDs. We also finished the previous semester three classes, the book of Jude, which was an incredible book that transitions us from the sixty-four books prior to it. It being the sixty-fifth book introduces the final book, the book of Revelation. What a grand book of Jude is.

Then we did the book of Romans. Romans is sixteen chapters that define for us the gospel. Every believer needs to be familiar with Romans. It lets us know what the gospel is and what it is not. Certainly it is the most important message that has ever been spoken on the earth. Paul said in Romans 1 16, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it the gospel is the power of God and into salvation to everyone that believeth.

And if you’re not familiar with Romans, you might want to get that 10-hour CD set on the Book of Romans. We also have the Book of Hebrews. The Book of Hebrews becomes a stumbling block to many, many people trip over the difficult passages, but we made those very clear in our class and you can get that 10 hours and really get a handle on understanding the Book of Hebrews. What a wonderful book it is. a lot of people have shied away.

Most commentators have not even written on it. If you’ll go looking for commentaries on Hebrews, you’ll find very few because I don’t think they understood it and didn’t want to put in their mouth and put it on paper and find out that they were wrong. So I think Hebrews has been shied away from and many have not commented on that book. We have 10 hours of teaching on Hebrews. I think you’re going to find exciting. And of Of course, we have about 40 sets, so I can go on and list these all day long.

Plus we have our DVDs. That is video. 65 minute DVD presentations of the gospel and of the different topics of the Bible. We hope that you will take advantage of all these DVDs and CDs that are on the online bookstore that we have. Also on our resource sheets, if you’ll just call our operator, we can mail out a resource sheet to you. You can also go online to our online bookstore. Just go to BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. By the way, we are streaming right now to the internet, our radio program right now, and we’re also streaming our television program.

We can catch radio and television 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We now are up to 143 countries. Another country from Europe has logged on. We are excited about how people are finding us from all over the world. And so 143 different countries have logged on to the BibleLineMinistries.org website. I hope you will. Go to that homepage. Click on that TV set. You’ll have a page in front of you that will give you TV on the left, radio on the right, just click click click and you can get what you want to get.

It makes it real easy. We would encourage you, if you’ve not been water baptized to go ahead and get that done, I would be honored to perform your baptism if you don’t have a church that baptizes by immersion. Or if you don’t have a church, we will be doing that the third Sunday, the 17th of September. At three in the afternoon we’ll have a full day with a Sunday school in the morning at 9.15, a 10.30 worship service, then a wonderful lunch.

You’re welcome to be my guest. And then we’ll after lunch, motor up to the home on a lake just north of the Calvary Community Church where I pastor and we’ll have the baptism and we’d love to have you get that done. It’s a wonderful act of obedience. So the Christian that testifies to the fact that you’ve been washed of your sin by the blood of Jesus Christ Well, we have lots of people who have called in and we have offer questions and live Callers, I think we’ll just go right now to Randy in Plant City and Randy Europe on the air right now Okay, fire away.

We are we are trying beans body minded full now in Genesis the Bible says that has the body. I don’t know that you can work this thing backwards. We are trying beings. God is a triune being. That is a mean that we are God. And so I don’t know that you can do that. But I think it means more than just the fact that we’re triune. I think it means that because God is a rational. God has also made us as a rational God.

We can think and reason things out. Isaiah 1, 18 says come and let us reason together, say, of the Lord. We also are volitional. We can make choices like God makes choices and he’s made us in his image in that way We’re also emotional God is an emotional God. He loves he hates and Experiences emotion and so he’s created us in the same way as I really think there’s many many ways in which we are created in his image and And I think we might not be able to back this thing the other way around but obviously Obviously, the second member of the Godhead did come and take on a human body, and prior to Bethlehem, Jesus Christ appeared many times in the Old Testament in a pre-incarnate appearance.

And you read that throughout the Old Testament Scriptures, every time you see the angel of the Lord in the Old Testament, it is God in a visible form in a body. Abraham was sitting in Genesis 18 at the moon day in the shade of his tent. He saw three men approaching him and he told his servants and Sarah to get things ready to feed them and provide hospitality. It turns out that one of those was Jesus and the other two were angels that would go on then to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.

So they were mistaken as men, as he said, I see three men approaching and it turns out that they were not just He had actually appeared to Abraham, and Abraham had never seen him and rejoiced. The Lord said that he could have been in John 8 where he says, your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day and he saw it and was glad. And they knew when he was saying that he had actually appeared to Abraham and Abraham and had seen him and rejoiced.

And perhaps it was that particular day in Genesis 18 that he was making reference to. That might help a little bit, but I think that we can have fun speculating and… and uh… but if the bible doesn’t give us a specific answer uh… we just have to leave it at that and say maybe maybe maybe maybe and it’s fun and it’s interesting but i don’t think we can give a definitive answer on that fantastic thank you so much ok reindeer keep listening out there in plant city all right we have uh…

let’s see here we have uh… reindeer no we have dave uh… in plant city old plant city day today looks like they’ve is calling and they’ve welcomed a by one year on the air good morning doctor hey well say you and everybody out there is taking the day off and is enjoying and uh… since radios over i’m going to do the same thing but we’re glad to be able to bring the program to you live today it’s a uh…

i call them Friday next to question them He’s still kind of confused about Zachariah 14 and Revelation 19. It says that his feet touchdown and Zachariah indicate these alone. In chapter 19 the revelation shows heaven opening any more than white horse with his army. And he said those are the second coming. Could you just kind of clarify that for me and the realt is confused about that? no hang up with all right thinking in that kind of fourteen obviously the focus is on the fact that when his feet touch the Mount of Olives, he’s not alone, but when he touches down you’ll find that he splits the mountain.

So the Mount of Olives is going to split in half. Half will be removed to the North Zechariah 14.4 tells us that half will go to the south and it will create a valley. That valley, I believe, is the valley of Jehosaphat that the Bible talks about that really hasn’t been formed yet. That’s the valley of judgment where God will judge the nations. Christ will have the nations assembled before him, the sheep on his right hand, the goats on his left hand, the sheep being the same, the goats being the lost.

Also that valley will create a path for the river that will flow out from underneath the temple mount to flow right down through that valley down to the Dead Sea. Now the Mount of Olives blocks any path for a river to flow down to the Dead Sea. But if you stand and I’ve been to Israel 13 times leading groups, and by the way we’re talking about a trip this coming spring and people are signing up as being interested. If you’d like to give our on our list as a potential to go, we haven’t set the date, but we will probably go sometime in the spring of this coming year if the Lord is still not back and taking us out and if conditions permit for a safe trip, we’re going to go.

And I would love to do that. And when you stand on the top of the Mount of Olives, which is higher than Jerusalem, when you look over to the west, you see the city of Jerusalem, this spectacular view, most photographs are taken from the top of the Mount of Olives. But if you turn to the east, you can look down and you can see to the Dead Sea, which is below the sea level. So you’re really about over 3000 feet high on the top of the Mount of Olives and then you’re looking down where the Dead Sea is 1200, 1300 feet actually below sea level.

And so you’re really looking down a mile as far as vertical height is concerned and you’re looking many miles to the east to the Dead Sea. So that’s where the river will flow from underneath the Lord’s house. In Zechariah 14 I think it’s verse 8 it talks about this river. that will flow year round down to the Mediterranean and to the Dead Sea. So we believe that Zachary 14 is not a problem in that Christ is alone there. It is simply saying that he comes and touches the amount of splits.

But you’ll notice in verse 5 of Zachary 14, it says he comes bringing his saints with him. So apparently Dave, you’ve overlooked that. So read the next verse and you have your answer. Thank you for calling in today and now we have Brenda in St. Petersburg. Brenda, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning Dr. Hank, how are you? Good. I would like to say something about the deity of Christ and Gary having problems with it. In 1 John 5 on page 1325 in your Bible, if you look at chapter 7, 8, 9 and 10, if I’m not mistaken, this should make it where these three are one.

Gary was disputing one of those verses. Some tried to eliminate it and of course in the margin of some Bibles, they said the best manuscripts don’t include that, but they don’t tell you what the best manuscripts are, but I can tell you what they are. They’re the Codex Alpha and Beta, and those are two manuscripts that nobody’s really ever seen, believe it or not, because they’re in the custodial care of the Roman Catholic Church, which I don’t trust. They might have seen it through a glass.

Maybe you’d have to have a try to eliminate it and of course in the margin of some Bibles that said the best manuscripts to include that but they don’t tell you what the best manuscripts are but I can tell you what they are. They’re the Codex Alpha and Beta and those are two manuscripts that nobody’s really ever seen believe it or not because they’re in the custodial care of the Roman Kelly Church, which I don’t trust. And they might have seen it through a glass, maybe open.

open to one page but nobody’s really seen these manuscripts. I believe it belongs there and I think you’re absolutely right. It’s one of many passages that ought to confirm that all three are one and there is a trinity. But obviously he’s not going to buy into that verse so he’ll have to, if he’s going to see the truth he’ll have to see it somewhere else I think. But Brenda that’s a great suggestion and certainly many other of us, unless there’s one will look at first John chapter five seven eight nine are great verses well chapter ten I think you believe that God’s liar well yeah you’re right verse ten says if you don’t believe the record that God gave of his son that you’re actually calling God a liar and then verse 11 which is a favorite of mine says this is the record it got have given to us eternal life and this life

is in his son exactly well I’m good talking you bring I hope you all are We’re having a great day today. You too. I have a nice one. Alright, thanks now. Brenda in St. Pete’s calling in. We have some off-air questions. I think we’ll go ahead and take a couple of those. Off-air Phil in Odessa, Florida says, why couldn’t two believers baptize each other? Certainly you could. But I think you might lose some of the specialty of this event if you did that.

that. I think if you were two believers on an island and you both happen to find a copy of the scriptures floating up on the beach and you read it and you get saved, the two believers wouldn’t get baptized the other and the other baptized the other one and baptized each other. I think certainly you could do that and there would be nothing to hinder you. But I have seen some Christians say, well, I’m going to baptize my wife in the bathtub.

I think there’s something that’s just missing there. The reverence, the respect, the testimony, I think it should be done in a way that’s honoring the Christ and I think gets the message across that you’re really doing this in obedience to the command of Christ and that you’re doing it to give testimony that you’ve been cleansed of your sin by the moment of Christ. It certainly can be done and I wouldn’t dispute that. In fact, I’ve talked to people who’ve done that kind of stuff and they don’t seem to be Reverend people.

They don’t seem to be people who Really Shine I think in the way of being a positive testimony for Christ to the lives of those who are watching You know, we’re being watched by everybody and I think we need to obviously think about what we’re doing and how does it impact others as well? when we are obedient to the Lord and we will give testimony. So that’s my answer. But Phil, you can baptize another believer. I believe you could do that without a problem.

But hopefully it would be done in a respectful, reverent way that would obviously honor Christ who gave the command. We have a Lillian in Tampa, Florida. She says in Ephesians 6 and 19, what does it mean to pray in the Spirit? What it means is not speaking in this gibberish that people call tongues. What it does What does this mean is to pray in accordance with Scripture which is authored by the Holy Spirit. It says in Peter chapter 1 that holy men spake as they were directed by, super intended by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the author of Scripture. So to pray in the Spirit means you pray scripturally. And if you do, you’re going to get answers to your prayer. If you pray the contrary to the Scripture, you’re going to get no answers. James in chapter 4 of James tells us that. He says you have not because you ask not, but then he says you ask and have not because you ask a miss that you may consume it upon your flesh.

And so if you’re asking a miss, which it means you’re not studying your Bible, and you You can obviously avoid praying a miss by knowing what God says about things that we can pray for that we’re going to get yes answers to and then save a lot of wasted time in praying we can pray more accurately. Thank you, Lillian, for that question and I hope that answered it for you. We have Off-Air Jimmy in Chester, Virginia and Jimmy says, well Satan saved and the answer is no.

There is no… He was a great salvation for Satan. Saved means that they had been fallen and then delivered. Satan was created perfect. If you read Ezekiel 28 which describes him, it talks there about the king of Tyre, but it goes beyond that to somebody who was in the garden of Eden. Somebody who really had a position where he was called a cherub. That’s one of those special living creatures that surround the throne of God. and so on, but it says he was pride came into his life, where all of a sudden aniquity was found in him as he thought he was as good as or better than God and could overthrow God.

And so Satan was not saved, and obviously there is no salvation for Satan. He’s already been judged, and his judgment is that he’ll be cast into the eternal lake of fire, and we read about that event that will take place in Revelation 20 verse 10 where it says the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire burning with fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are and so be tormented day and night forever and ever.

So Jimmy Satan never was delivered once he fell, once he sinned against the Lord he was judged and no salvation for Satan. Nor is Angel. All right, off the air, Liz in Tampa, Florida calls in and she asked to explain John 2023. Christ, the here, tells the disciples that whosoever sins they remit, they remitted unto them and whosoever sins they retain, they are retained. And I believe every believer has this power. It’s in the message of the gospel. When we bring the gospel to someone, they believe the message of the death of the Beow and the Resurrection of Christ.

Trusting Christ is their only means of reaching heaven that we can have the authority to say on the authority of God’s Word that your sins are forgiven if you have trusted Christ. But if a person rejects that message, I can tell them on the authority of God’s Word that they are not forgiven, they will go to hell if they don’t trust Jesus as their Savior. So every believer has that authority to be able to forgive sins through the message of the gospel that we bring.

It’s like a doctor who may have a cure for some serious illness and he cannot heal the patient, but he might have a cure that he can administer to the patient that would bring healing. But if they refuse that treatment, then obviously the doctor says, well, you’re going to die, because this is the only cure. But if the person responds and takes the cure, then they can be saved from the consequences of not being treated and dying. So hopefully that helps answer that for you Liz in Tampa.

We have off-air Katrina in St. Pete, named after the hurricane I’m sure. I bet you’ve been teased a lot with that name. The trinity in St. Pete says, where is the chip going to be planted at? Well, according to the Bible, in Revelation 13, it tells us it will be in the right hand or in the forehead. And so apparently that will be the best place. I have heard different stories. I understand that the chip to be powered, the best two places on the body where there Our temperature changes up and down that would allow the chip to be powered electronically is the right hand or I guess the left as well.

But the right hand in particular and the forehead are the two best places to have the best amount of electrical energy generated to power the chip. In any case, the Bible says that’s what’s going to be planted. So I trust that for whatever reason, whether it’s the electronics of the chip or it’s just where the Antichrist decides that you’re going to get it. That’s where it’s going to be placed. Alright, we have David calling in from Paul, Lover. I’m not too sure where that’s at, but David calls in and he asks us to explain a passage in Luke, chapter 9, and this is a passage I’m sure this is talking about this discipleship, not talking about salvation.

And it says in Luke chapter 9, and I’m almost there, in verse 62. I’m finally there, I think. I’m not there. I was in the Gospel of John. Let me flip over to Luke for just a second. Luke 9 verse. He says, You’re in Jesus’ center to him, no man having put his hand in the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. In other words, if you’re going to be a servant of the Lord, you can’t be back and forth and changing your mind and stopping and so on.

So once you set out, it needs to be a lifelong decision, or you’re not fit to be a worthy servant that can be really greatly used of God. You have to make a choice where you don’t look back. So once you choose to become a disciple of Christ, Christ is saying, if you look back and change your mind, you say, well, I don’t know if I want to do this anymore, which a west Christians do. God says you are not fit to be used of me.

Yes, you are still saved, you won’t be lost, you won’t lose your salvation, you won’t be cast out or kicked out, but you will certainly not be used of God mightily. And God will, obviously you will be losing reward you could have earned or could have had and turning down the greatest opportunity in all the world. We are going to break and so keep your radio dial tuned right where it is and we will be right back with Bible Right.

away. I’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Englund’s from, and this is Bibleline. Great to be with you on this Labor Day. And thank you for tuning in. It’s kind of nice to be with you, and it’s kind of a more laid-back day. Maybe we can get your question answered today, and hopefully You’ll have a wonderful day today and a relaxing day.

But we’re going to get into the Bible for another half hour shortly and I hope you’ll catch that. If your station doesn’t carry it, then you can go to the internet to BibleLineMinistries.org and you’ll be able to catch the full hour. But in any case, we are listener supported. We have many things that we’re doing here at Bibleline to bring the program to you and make it easy for you to get Bibleline throughout the week, any day of the week, by the internet.

So in other words, all of last week’s programs are sitting there. And all you have to do is go to BibleLineMinistries.org or go to dot org or dot com and click on that TV set and you’ll be able to catch our TV programs for the past, I don’t know, three, four, five, six months, and our radio programs for the at least the past month and listen to them again And again, you can download them in the MP3 format and so on.

All of that is certainly sending that’s available to you and there’s no charge. Just get on your internet and go to BibleLineMinistries.org here.com. We’re getting ready to webcast our worship service which will announce when that happens, but in the next week or two you’ll probably be able to catch our worship service here. Many people are telling us they are having real difficulty today finding a sound Bible teaching church. I hear that so often. So many people crying out, we decided that we would make our worship service available.

One gentleman told me, living up in the Panhandle of Florida, that he couldn’t find a sound Bible church within a hundred mile radius of his house. Wow. And that’s a sad commentary if that be the case, but he certainly hasn’t been able to find one he said. So in any case, for those people, while they search, we’re going to make available our worship servers here at Calvary Community. We are facing some additional expenses to be able to put that on the web for you.

And if you’d like to help, you can do that. You can send a gift to my blind, or you can call in and give a gift by credit card over phone but also our daily needs here at Bible on to pay the bills to keep this program coming to you are great and we could use your help so if you want to send a gift you can do that or you can call in and give a gift my credit card over the phone.

We’re about ready to go to the stations that have been on break and we’re going to do Bible on part 2 so keep your radio down tuned right where it is and we’re going to start the second half so get ready here we go Will you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break.

And by the way, we’re live today. This is Labor Day and we’re live. I mean you can call in. And we’ll get you up on the air and get your question answered today. So if you’re listening and you didn’t think we were live, this is not a best of. This is a live broadcast today, Labor Day, Monday, September 4th. And we hope that you will take advantage. Sit back and listen with your Bible open and call in if you have a question and we’ll try to get that answered for you.

And thank you for being a part of the Bibleline program today. We have a number of offer questions. We’ll try to get those and of course if you want to call in and be live whether it’s just down that number 1-800-576-3771. And we invite you to be a part of the program. I want to thank all of you who give the Bible on because again, your gifts are indispensable. We have all the video bills to pay and equipment and those things.

Obviously it’s all taken care of by listeners who call it. This is something that’s dependent totally upon our listeners. I don’t get paid, our staff doesn’t get paid. We’re all volunteers. We want to get this messy job. We’re dedicated to this project of getting the gospel into all the world and God is blessing 143 countries out The latest count have logged on to our website In the month of July, and we don’t have August stats yet, but in the month of July we have 13,000 45 listeners to Bible and radio just on the internet just on the internet So we have a large congregation of listeners, people that are listening to the Bible and program, many tell me they listen faithfully every day.

We’re very humbled by all of that and we’d like to see that continue and expand and we’d like to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s only possible if you partner with us and help us out. So the money is going really to get this message out on the air and to assure that the program continues in your area. So if you could give a gift to Bibleline, that would be greatly appreciated. You can mail it to Bibleline at 4811 George Road in Tampa, Florida.

Zip is 333634. And or you can call and give a gift by credit card over the phone. You can also give on the online bookstore on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org. So go go there and there’s a place to give my credit card on our secure website. We are going to take some more callers and some more off the air callers. Off air, Clemens in Colonial Heights, Virginia called in. He said, if you don’t repent after you’re saved, will God still forgive you and will he be saved?

And of course the answer is There’s confusion about this thing about repentance. The word repent from the Greek is methanoya. Two words really, methan meaning change, noia, n-o-i-a means mind. The two words together, change of mind is what it means. And so if you read the book of Acts, almost In every case, the lost are told to repent and it is a change of mind about who Jesus Christ is. For example, on Pentecost, when Peter was preaching, he preached to a crowd that had crucified Christ because they didn’t believe he was the Savior, they believed he was an imposter, a counterfeit and he told them to change their mind, realize they had made a mistake and recognize that Jesus Christ was God who came to the earth and died to pay for their sins and was raised again from the dead.

So repentance afterwards saved would be a change of mind about maybe how we are living our lives or maybe about decisions that we are making that maybe are not consistent with God’s word or God’s will. But your salvation is never in jeopardy, Clemens. you trust the Lord, Jesus promises in John 637, him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. And in John 639, Jesus promises that he would not lose you. In other words, you can’t be lost once you become saved, and the reason why is because Christ is keeping you saved.

So, Fimmons, I hope that helps a little bit. John 6, 37, and 39. Keep that in mind. We have Raymond in St. Petersburg on the line, and Raymond, welcome to the Bible, and you’re on the air. Hello. Hi, Randy. You’re on there. Hi. I got a question. The Corinthians that Paul talks about the embaptized for the dead. That’s rather obscure verse for me. What can you explain your take on that particular verse? Absolutely. Paul is talking there about the resurrection in the chapter and he is telling these believers if there is no resurrection, then Christ is it raised.

And if Christ is it raised and our faith is vain and We’re just wasting our time. We’re spinning our air our wheels and just You know filling the air with empty words, but he’s saying there but if That were the case then all of those that had believed and were baptized as testimony of their faith in Christ were baptized in vain and So he’s really saying that Why should we continue to preach Christ and baptize people to replace those that have died who were baptized if there is no resurrection?

So the whole point here and Scofield points out in the margin which the Bible uses the old Scofield. It says here in the margin of my Scofield, who through the introductory rite of baptism are taking the places in the ranks left vacant by Christians who have died. So it’s really talking about why should we continue to recruit or win or vandalize lost people, get them baptized, if there’s no sense to this because there’s no resurrection and there’s no afterlife.

So that’s what it’s talking about. I know groups like the Mormons teach that they can actually vicariously be baptized for their dead relatives. and if their relatives in eternity would choose to accept that baptism, they can help toward their salvation. That’s nonsense and certainly a real twist on this verse in 1 Corinthians 1529. And I hope that helps a little bit. What do you think? Absolutely. Thank you very much. All right. You’re welcome. Thank you, Raymond in St. Petersburg.

And we’re now going to go to Donna in Fort Walton Beach. And Donna, welcome to Bible On. Good morning, Pastor Hank. Well, I know you all have got to be excited about getting our worship service soon. Oh, you took the words right out of my mouth. Okay. Yes, we’re very excited about that. We’re going to be looking forward to it. And the thing is, it’s going to be high definition and you’re going to be able to get a full screen.

So if you have a huge screen, one of those big ones, you can probably fill a room full of people to join the worship service with you. Lars is I think 17 inch though. I mean it’ll be great. So we’re oh I just can’t thank you enough for that. Well I have a question. My husband’s been home for a couple of days and he was watching CTN a program on there. I know some of them are not the greatest but we had never heard of these two gentlemen.

I think they’re either pastors or biblical scholars. Not really sure. One of them being Dr. Everett Gaddy talking about the new King James Bible that he’s different format is called the subject Bible. First of all he takes all of the scriptures and tax so he says. Well you know I’ve seen that Bible and I’ve met him in person and it’s really the old King James, but what he’s done is he’s arranged everything by subject and made it very easy for you to search and study as you read along.

I think it’s excellent. Okay. That’s what I was wanting to know because also along with that he keeps the text in text the way it reads, but he takes the words that don’t have meaning to us now that we don’t use anymore. And then he puts him for instance what that word means for us today. Absolutely. good. It’s an excellent Bible. Okay, we were kind of very interested, but of course we had to see what you thought of it.

And this gentleman is truly a, you think, highly of him too. Yeah, I’ve met him on several occasions and really a nice fellow. He’s up here in age too. He’s in his 80s in full of energy. I tell you, the guy’s full of life and just So very excited about getting this Bible into the hands of people. It’s a great, as you read along, you can just get the word all day long to all these different subjects and he makes it so easy you don’t have to go to another book at all.

He does all the homework for you so it’s kind of nice. Okay, well good to hear that then. Something good for a change. There you go. Yeah, really I love to be able to applaud somebody who’s doing a good job and he is. Okay, and I just had one other quick question. Greg, Pastor Greg Laurie, he’s also on one place and he has this big church, I believe it’s, have you heard of him? Yeah I have and I don’t believe his gospel is real clear but I’m not too sure, I don’t want to say because I don’t want to mix him up with somebody else.

I believe he, I think I heard him speak here locally and he gave a three or four point plan of salvation which included work. So, I tell you, it’s so disappointing when you have people who have a big platform to preach from and they don’t get it right. Well, I know and back to the subject of your streaming your worship service. I occasionally watched some of the local churches services on TV. And one, the reason that led me to ask about Greg Lorry, his sermons, even though this casually dress, which is kind of hard to get used to, but his sermons came across sounding quite doctrinally sound.

So I went on this webpage to check him out. And it all was sounding pretty good. it had links that eventually led me to Greg Laurie and I forgot the name of his church. But his church is kind of linked with him, but I don’t know, I just, like I said, it’s so subtle and so hidden that you know, you just never know what you’re really getting into until you’re there and then all of a sudden the red flags go popping out.

Exactly. Well, what you need to really listen for, which I encourage people to do, is listen to the invitation because that’s where the rubber meets the road. And once they start saying you have to commit your life and give your heart or surrender your life and all these different things which are works, the turn from your sin, that’s just wrong. And there’s only one condition to be saved and that is to believe the word in the Greek means to trust in Christ’s death and shed blood that he was buried in that he rose again from the dead.

trust Christ, you become saved. And this new terminology is really brand new. You don’t really find it in the Bible. I was just last night teaching in the book of Acts in Acts 4 and verse 11. It says in verse, Acts chapter 4 verse 4, it says, How be it many of them which heard the Word believed and the number of the men was about 5,000. But it’s just very plain. They believed the word and of course in Ephesians 1 it says, after that you heard the word of truth and then it explains more specifically the gospel which comes through the word of God.

It says, having believed you were sealed with Holy Spirit. So we know just upon simple trust in the finished work of Christ when they heard the word the gospel and believed it, they were saved. And there are 5000 men got saved here on this occasion with Peter and John in Acts chapter 3 and in verse 4 of chapter 4 it tells us that in spite of the fact that the leadership objected to the message and they threw them in jail that night for preaching it, in spite of all that, many of them which heard the word believed and a number of those that got saved were about 5,000.

That’s incredible. But it’s very simple. It is and that is so much the stumbling block for many people and that’s what you’re hearing in a lot of the churches which you know that just turns people away. Well I was confused for 18 years of my life. I was raised at church for 18 years before I got saved and I was thoroughly confused. And I find that I talk to you all the time that don’t have any assurance and they’re confused because they hear all these different things they’re supposed to do and they say, well I don’t know if I did enough or will I ever be able to do enough?

And some people just say I gave up long ago I’m never going to make heaven and I don’t realize Yeah, really and if they don’t give enough they don’t repent enough and and I’ve had a lot of people tell me that I don’t know if I’ve repented enough because they’re told that they have to turn from their sin as the definition Which is wrong and then they They stop some sins, but they haven’t maybe stopped every sin in their life because if you’re honest you don’t because Even as a believer we still sin and there’s never a possibility in this flesh body to live sin free We can have sin under control and have victory over sin, but we’ll never be able to live sin free in this earthly body That’s correct and scriptly right on Well, thank you I really enjoyed chatting with you this morning.

I was surprised you were gonna be on live that you’re so devoted I shouldn’t well we decided that my guys who are also devoted here. I have Andrew and James here And they said let’s do it and I said okay, and so they’re here and I’m here and We said that this is for eternity. This is really so wonderful to be able to bring the message to people that we don’t want to miss the opportunity to bring it live if we can.

That’s exactly what you’re doing. I already spoke to Andrew and said hi. So tell James hi from me and Fort Walton Beach. Alright, sure. Well, he’s going to hear right now. We have the time to lay down here and he’s going to hear it in about 10 more seconds. Okay. You have a great one. Have a hot dog on us. Alright, alright, let’s see here. We have Lily in the land Florida and Lily welcome to Bible and you’re on the air.

Thank you, Pastor Lin, from How are you doing? Doing fine, thank you. Good. I have questions to ask you. Okay. I’m a born-again Christian. I love the Lord. And last night I was at a service, second And the visiting pastor told me that I got to get rid of my jewelry. All I had was a string of pear, a string of pearls really, in my earring. And he said I got to get rid of those, you know. And the only thing I do, I work and I go to church, I just serve the Lord.

And I wear the foundation and the powder, you know, not as crazy, you know. and my clothes, their mother, the worst something can be is that my knee, and I usually bring a scarf if it goes and my knee to put over. So I would like, if you could tell me, because I read some family, I’m not a Christian, I asked you. And I just want, if you could tell me, where is it in the Bible, typically that one can go to church in their pearl, or they’re drilling, or as long as you’re not overdoing it.

Well, the answer is that the pastor is wrong. He’s just capital to be our wrong. If you read the verse that he’s probably referring to, it’s in 1 Peter chapter 3, and I’ve heard this kind of preaching, and it tells here about a woman let her adorning, let it not be the outward adorning of the plating of the hair or the wearing of gold or the putting on of apparel. Well, if you took the whole verse literally, you’d have to be naked because it says you can’t put on a paraleater.

It’s obviously not saying that. But verse 4 says, let it be the hidden man of the heart in that which is not corrupt, even the ornament of a meek in quite spirit which is in the sight of God of great price. What I was talking about is that the real you ought to shine through and let it not be how you dress that attracts people to you as a person. If he’s going to talk about wearing a gold or jewelry, then he’s going to have to take the last part literally too and say you can’t even put on apparel.

So you can’t put any clothes on it. He’s just wrong. I mean that’s obviously not reading the scripture rightly dividing and not understanding what the Bible is saying. It’s not saying you can’t pick your hair up a woman ought to. And it’s not saying you can’t wear any jewelry. Sometimes it’s very attractive to do that. It shouldn’t be the number one thing about you is that people are attracted to the jewelry they see or the hair they are wearing or the clothing that you are wearing, but it should be the inner person, the real you, the fact that you love the Lord is what people should see.

It obviously can’t mean what he says it means or we’d all have to be nudist. Right, I give that. He better me so much. I thought I couldn’t even sleep. sleep well i know and i think that’s a shame that uh… that they just don’t know what they’re talking about because i didn’t want to open the lard and i didn’t want to be in the disobedience or in the church i’ve put down my my hearing and my string off right there well i think you can probably wear a minute and i said you know i love pearl because why you don’t love it more than the lord do you i said oh no because that’s true.

I love the Lord and He’s been good to me. I know it’s not by work, but I’m still trying to be more excellent. Well, of course. God bless you. Just don’t let that get you because He’s wrong. The verse is very clear that it’s talking about. Basically, we shouldn’t attract people to us because of how we dress, but rather because of who we are. How is Harold doing? Harold, I hope he’s doing well. We haven’t heard from him for a little while, but I think he’ll resurface and we’re praying that Harold will trust the Lord as his Savior.

Okay. Sorry, I’m too far from you to attend your sermon. I know, but you just keep listening on the radio. Thank you, sir. God bless you. Have a great day. You too now. Bye-bye. That was Lily in the land, Florida. It’s amazing sometimes how scriptures can be taken wrong and really put a lot of pressure on a person that’s really unnecessary. That’s certainly not the way that verse was intended to be used. We’re going to go to Mark in St.

Petersburg. Mark, welcome to Bibleline. Hi Pastor Anker, I just wanted to call and tell you I really enjoy your program and listen to it since it’s been on for like 15 minutes a day. Wow. Yeah, it’s been a while. I drive a truck so I just get to listen all the time. Yeah. And I was at home and able to call you. It’s really good. I’ve got a lot of good information from you too. I’ve been over it to see you once before on Resurrection Day there when you have your service.

Okay. But just real quick just a couple of questions about a couple ministries that are one locally over here in St. Pete I just always wanted to ask you about it. I always forgot the Calvary Chapel on US 19 pastor Danny has a program on in the morning also Well, he believes you can lose your salvation. That’s a major error. Yeah, okay I kind of thought that cuz on his like little things they hand out as you know It always talks about turning from sin and stuff and I was wondering about him but you never could really get him to, you know, I’ve never actually heard or asked him if he could or couldn’t, you know.

And I’m going to ask one more quick one here just, and then I’m going to listen on the radio and just hang up and let someone else try to get in. And the Rick Warren, I know all about, you know, from listening to what your opinions are and stuff and everything and others. And I know last night I’ve seen a thing on Fox about Ken Rick Warren saved the world. And I guess he’s going around doing, you know, lots of great things.

But what is his bottom line? What does he believe about that? Is force losing or keeping your salvation or stuff like that? And just love your program. I’m going to hang up and let you answer that one too. Thank you. Well, I believe that Rick Warren’s planet salvation is one of perseverance that you have to continue in order to make it into heaven. And there are several that believe that Bill Hybels of Chicago, who participates a lot with Rick Warren on his website, says, if you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and are pleased to continue that relationship until you die, then God will be pleased to continue that relationship into eternity.

But if you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and are not pleased to continue that relationship until you die, Then God will not be pleased to continue it into eternity. In other words, it’s a salvation by works that you have to continue a Relationship and that’s just totally wrong Scripturally because we know that at the moment you believe Then you become related to God by the new birth you become a son or daughter God for the first time becomes your father and that is something that is eternal it cannot be reversed You cannot become unborn once you are born again.

Our relationship is permanent and set in concrete once you trust Christ, but our fellowship can be broken by sin. Our fellowship can be impacted. Our intimacy with the Lord and our walk with Him can be impacted by how we live our life. But our relationship from the moment you believe is eternal. I have eternal life. I have been born again, I’m a child of God, and I’ll be his child forever. That’s the wonderful good news about the new birth.

Thank you for that call. I hope that helps a little bit. But the subtlety of this whole new approach today, which is like a fad, is to tell people that you must have a relationship with Christ. Well, that’s useless unless you tell them how to be born again by trusting Christ as Savior. That’s like telling somebody you ought not to go to hell when you die. You can tell them that every day of their life and they’ll still go to hell.

They have to trust Christ to be saved. You can tell a person you need to go to heaven when you die. You need to go to heaven when you die. You need to have a relationship with Christ in order to go to heaven. And all that is true, but you don’t get a relationship. You don’t go to heaven unless you trust that Christ died and shed his blood at the cross. And it comes about at an instant of time when you become born again.

And the moment you trust Christ, you’re born again forever. You have a relationship that can never be diminished or increased. I love Romans 8, 38, and 39. I am persuaded that neither death or life nor angels or principalis or things present or things to come to a height nor death or any other creation. She’ll be able to separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. Nothing can separate me. I am stuck. for ever going to heaven.

Well, we’re at the end of the program here. We have David in St. Pete. Has to be quick because we’re about out of time. Hey, I’ve got two questions. My main one is in 1st Timothy 5a. You know, the verse I’m talking about? I think I do. About the infidel. Yeah, if you have a child and I take care of them, you’re considered a worse than an infidel. Right. We didn’t take care of our families. You need to make sure that your children and your family is taking care of them, fat and clothes and so on.

My question is, I’ve been to some churches where the preacher and the pastor were fell into the category scripturally on that. Should they be allowed scripturally to be a pastor or preacher or minister? Well I’d have to know more facts before I would make it judgement but definitely obviously if that first Timothy part was right. Well we have to run because of the time. I’m going to have to get back to that tomorrow because of we’re out of time.
