But we’re just directly west and parallel to the main north-south runway here at Tampa International Airport and we’re on the west side of Block West on George Road at 48-11 George Road. By the way, you’re welcome to come by on a worship day. We worship on Sunday morning at 10-30 and in the evening at 6 o’clock and you’re welcome to come by and join us as well.

And by the way, the third Sunday, a week from the Sunday, we’re going to be having our Thanksgiving Celebration Service and a wonderful Turkey celebration dinner. You’re invited to come and be my guest and eat up with us as we eat up a traditional Thanksgiving meal and we’ll have the pumpkin pie and the turkey and everything else to gravy the stuffing. We’re going to have a great time. That’ll be the 19th. I hope you’ll plan to join us for Thanksgiving here at Calvary.

If you’re in driving distance have two more weeks to go in our classes on Tuesday night. We have the course right now 10 vital doctrines also We’re getting great feedback already on the classes. We’ve thus taught thus far. We’ve had six class hours now under our belt two more weeks two class hours per week 7 till 9 on Tuesday nights and we’ll finish up 10 vital doctrines Got a wonderful call early this morning from a fellow up in Tennessee and he said he was pronounced that he had colon cancer, was dying.

A lot of his friends were praying for him and somebody from Florida gave him the how permanent is your salvation from Bible and he said he listened to that he’s gotten saved and now he calls in this morning early to order 15 copies so he can give back to those who prayed for him give them the gospel that he heard on on that CD. He didn’t know who we were, never heard one of our programs, but that CD that we talked about that has been such a great evangelistic tool was given to him by somebody in Florida.

He got saved by listening to that, said I’ll try that number to see if these people are still in business and ordered 15 to give to his friends that had prayed for him. He wants to see them come to know Christ as Savior and receive the gift of eternal life. You know, That’s a great, wonderful idea for the holidays here to reach your friends and relatives. A lot of people, rather than giving a card, will give a CD. We’ve had a lot of people last year get saved as a result of that evangelistic CD.

Plus the tracks we have, am I going to heaven, is a wonderful gospel track. It almost does all the work for you. Has it quiz? Has the answers? Has the scriptures all printed in a beautiful color? It stands out and is as clear as a belt and people often, if it gets in their hand, will trust the Lord of Savior. We also have a great book that will teach you how to lead us over to Christ, called Handbook of Personal Evangelism.

It is a book that guides you through that one-on-one, how to open your mouth, what to say when your mouth is open, how to close down the conversation, lead that person to Christ, imagines the conversation, you’ll say what they’ll say what you’ll say what they’ll say what they’ll say back and forth and it helps you to be able to reach a cult member an atheist an agnostic an evolutionist and just your Family Member, I hope you’ll take advantage and get some of the resources we have here.

Especially Christmas maybe think about using that CD as an evangelistic tool. Isn’t it wonderful? That person in Florida that sent that CD up there to Tennessee led Amanda Christ, who’s now so grateful as he has come through the cancer threat. threat and now he is able to win these friends that were praying for him and bring them the Christ in that great. Well, in any case, this is Bible and I’m Dr. England Striman. We’re going to turn to a passage in Hebrews and then we’ll be taking our questions.

So you can call in if you’d like at 1-800-576-3771. A verse that has caused some confusion is Hebrews 12 verse 14 where it says follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. Now many people take this verse and misread it and say that you have to follow peace and you have to follow holiness in order to go to heaven to be able to see the Lord. Obviously they haven’t read the verse very good.

They haven’t read it very carefully. If you’ll notice here, it says, follow peace and follow holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. And what it’s saying here is that you have to have peace and holiness to see the Lord, but you don’t receive it or obtain it by following after peace and holiness. In other words, the moment you trust Jesus as your Savior, you have peace. Romans 5-1 says, therefore, being justified by faith, we have present tense.

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. What a reverse. Romans 5-1, therefore, being justified by faith, that is faith in Jesus Christ, we have as a present tense verb. We have right now peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ, Death at Calvary, made peace between us who were considered his enemies before we get saved and now become his children by a new birth from the trust of Christ. We are no longer at odds, we are no longer enemies.

We now have peace with God right now. It says, therefore, being justified by faith, we have present tense peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. So we have it right now. Also holiness right here in Hebrews chapter 10 in the book of Hebrews, it tells us that we are sanctified. That Greek word translated sanctified means to make pure and holy. So we are made holy when we trust Christ as Savior. It says by the will of God, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

The one time death of Christ made it possible for you to be made holy in God’s sight when you trust Christ as Savior. It says in verse 14, by one offering he has sanctified it, means made pure and holy. We’re made holy when we trust Christ as our Savior. And so the Bible says that the believer has peace with God. The believer is holy in position before the Lord. And so what it’s really saying here is that without peace and holiness you won’t see the Lord and we have that of course by faith when we trust Christ as our Savior.

But then the Bible is talking about the Christian life here and it says we should follow after those things which we’ve received through the finished work of Christ. It is not saying follow peace and follow holiness in order to obtain holiness. People aren’t reading very carefully their Bible and this verse has thrown people off I just heard it again yesterday brought up and I heard a song that actually emphasized that theme that you had to follow peace and you had to follow holiness if you were going to go to heaven.

It’s only wrong. They’re not reading the Bible. We are made holy and we have peace with God when we trust Jesus as our Savior. And then as a Christian, once we are saved, we have already received peace with God through faith. And we’ve already been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ one time for all Hebrews 10-10. And 10-14 we are made holy by the one time offering of Christ. He only died once to pay for our sins.

And when we trust Him, we are seen as holy and we are seen as righteous and we are those who have received peace with God through faith in what Jesus Christ did it across. But then it’s saying that you need to follow after that. That is the pursuit now to follow the path. In our living that we have already obtained by our trusting Christ as our Savior. So I ought to live a life that is in the direction of what Christ has set out.

In verse 2 of this wonderful chapter of Hebrews it says we’re looking unto Jesus the author and the finish of our faith. If you are running a race your eyes need to be toward the finish line. That’s where you’re headed. Obviously if you’re driving on the road your eyes need to be not on the side of the road or in your rear view mirror but your eyes need to be set on wherever you’re headed ahead on the road. And the same thing is true.

We need to be looking to Christ. He’s at the finish line. We need to be watching for the finish line of our life and looking to Jesus who has already given us peace and holiness. So, as a Christian we’re to follow peace and holiness. It tells us without peace and holiness you won’t see the Lord, but we have that through faith in Christ. I hope that’s helped explain this verse. And many have gone astray thinking you have to live a holy life and live a piece of a life in order to obtain or return or an eternal life.

I don’t know if you saw the NBC special this morning on, I think it’s one of the channels, but they actually said on there that you didn’t even have to believe in God to go to heaven. And all different kinds of people were quoted as to what they thought about how to go to heaven. them. We are saying, doing good deeds and doing good works and doing your best and making amends for the wrongs that you have done here and so on and so on.

Amazing how many people don’t know. The wonderful story of the gospel that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that no man can come to the Father but by Him and by simple faith in trusting the finished work of Christ a person is saved. I hope you have done that. I plead for the souls of those that are listening that no one who is listening who hears the message here on Bible on would go to hell because they have understood that eternal life is a gift.

It is received by faith. It is received at the moment you believe from that moment on your save forever and then our pursuit ought to be to follow after the things that Christ has given to us through Christ death at Calvary. We’re going to go to the phone lines. The phone number here is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have Jennifer in Tampa calling in and Jennifer, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Dr. Hank? Yeah. Good morning. Good morning. I have two questions.

Is that okay? Absolutely. Let’s go for it. The one question is, you know when you say, once saved, always saved? That’s correct. In Matthew 24, 9 and 13, it says, those that endure to the end will be saved. Can you elaborate on that, please? Absolutely. It’s talking there about the Second Coming of Christ and the Tribulation Period that immediately precedes that, which will be filled with wars and rumors of wars, famines, disease, and so on, and is talking about the terrible destruction that will occur at the end when Christ returns at the Battle of Armageddon and is talking about physical salvation.

If you read the text very carefully, it says, he that endures to the end shall be saved. If you look at verse 21, it says, for then shall be what? Great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world, to this time no nor shall ever be. In other words, there will never be a time as bad as this seven years of tribulation is coming. And then it goes on to say in verse 22, except those days should be shortened and Christ will come back and defeat the armies of this world and shorten it at just seven years if he allowed Armageddon to continue this terrible disastrous nuclear world war, then all life on the planet would be extinguished.

But it says, except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh. Notice the word flesh. No flesh be saved. It’s talking about physical salvation. The deliverance from the trials and tribulations that appeared will be ended when Christ returns and those that survive that are in their flesh will be saved to live into the thousand year reign of Christ. So it’s talking about physical salvation, not eternal salvation. Oh, okay. I understand. Yeah, you have to read the context. And over in the book of Acts, it talks about Paul was on a ship that was in a terrible storm, and the Lord told him that they needed to all stay on board.

They were ready to get off on lifeboats and everything else. And he told the people there, except you abide in the ship, you cannot be saved. When he’s talking about physical deliverance again, and they stayed in the ship, they ran aground close to shore, they all made it to the shore, and they were all saved. I’m sure if you want to take things out of context, I can start a new religion and I can call it abiding in the ship religion.

I’ll tell people I’ll build my church in the shape of a boat and say come here and bring all your food and live here with me. Except you abide in the ship, you cannot be saved and they’d have to stay in the church with me the rest of your life and never leave. Maybe we’d give the heaven that way. But that’s totally misusing the Bible. Okay, because I surely don’t want to take it out of time. My next question.

All right. Now, I talked with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. They claimed that Jehovah’s God did not know that Adam and Eve was going to sin. Well, my question is did God know Adam was going to sin? Oh, they say that. I said, why didn’t he know? He said, they said because if the whole of God knew the network caused all the suffering in the world, well, I believe God knows everything. And so can you elaborate on that?

Absolutely. He certainly did know. And obviously, he planned, according to the Bible, the plan of redemption for man before the foundation of the world because he knew what would take place. Over in 1 Peter 1, it says here that we are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1 19, speaking of Christ being the sinless lamb of God that would be slain to pay for the sins of the world.

1 Peter 1, who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest later. So obviously God planned before the foundation of the world, before Adam and Eve were even created the redemption of man through the shed blood of Jesus Christ as God foreknew that man would sin. And so God foreknew that and because he loved us and wanted us to have opportunity to be saved, he himself chose to come as Jesus and die to pay for our sins.

certainly he knew and again the witnesses are wrong. Okay, where was that in First Peter? First Peter 1 verse 19 and 20. Okay, I got it. Thank you very much, Dr. Hanks. Alright, Jennifer, thank you for calling in today and we have now Mary in Clearwater and Mary. Welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Mary, you are on the air. If you’re waiting for your radio, it’ll be 20 seconds. We’ll have to count. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Mary, are you there? For me? You’re on the air. Oh, okay. Would you please tell me where on the Bible I can find that angels were males and they also do not have, yeah, they do not have wings? Well, one of the interesting places is back in Genesis chapter 18. You have three men approaching Abraham at his tent in the noon day and it turns out that Abraham had his wife fix some food and his servants prepare food to serve them.

And it turns out that one was actually a preincarnate appearance of Jesus and the other two were the angels that went on to Sodom to destroy it. Now they appeared as men and Abraham misunderstood and thought they were men, but he found out later they were angels and they didn’t have any wings. They just looked like men. He fed them a dinner and then he discovered that this turned out to be Jesus, God Himself, and told Abraham how he would have a son, and that would be the Isaac through whom the Savior would come.

And then the two angels went on to Sodom, and they were mistaken for men. They didn’t come into town with some big wings on, but they walked into town and it says, all the men, old and young, turned out because they lusted after these two men and wanted to take them and forcibly have sex with them. You know what happened? Men went to Lot’s house. Lot was apparently so depraved that he offered up his daughters, but they didn’t even want his daughters who were virgins.

He said, you can have my daughters and do with them as you please, but they wanted those men. So the angels smoked them with blindness. You would have thought that that would have stopped their attempts, but the Minnesotum were so corrupted that it says they groped all night to find the door to Lot’s house. Little did they realize that those two men were angels that would destroy the whole city and all of them would be killed by them the very next morning.

But wherever you look in the Bible, angels are always mistaken for many times as men. And that’s why it says in Hebrews concerning what Abraham experienced that he entertained an angel unaware actually two angels when they came and he offered them The angel’s don’t have sex, children don’t have baby angels, angels don’t have wings, when you read about them in the Bible they don’t have wings. Now they cherub and the serub have wings, but they are the special living creatures about the throne of God and in a special class all of themselves.

and a special class all of themselves but the angel angels we talk about all the time are always male and they are never female they’re never a baby angels and they i don’t have wings yes and what books are these about genesis and you know that was that was yet he bears all talks about angels but and you can find it throughout the bible but genesis eighteen nineteen if you read them uh… the the men of sodom came out and thought these were apparently eighties were beautifully i mean beautiful handsome uh…

men that they were apparently physically attracted to uh… and they wanted to have sex with these two angels and it says that that they came after them because they thought they were men if they have known there were angels or they had big wings on they wouldn’t have been that at all but they they would they obviously mistook them for men and now wanted to rape them and that that’s jennifer’s right Yeah, but that’s the same as for all that thought the whole Bible.

You’ll never find a verse anywhere that ever said an angel had a wing. Do you know any other books that I can find this in? Well, wherever you look for angels, if you have a concordance and you look up the word angel, just follow it all the way through, you’ll never find a reference. You know where the wings came from? Yeah, see, I’ve told my children, but they want proof. Well, tell them to find a verse that says an angel has wings.

They can’t find one. In other words, the Bible never presents angels with the wings. They always appear as men and are mistaken as men. In Acts chapter 1, you have Christ when he’s on the Mount of Olives and he is saying his final words before he ascends back to heaven. And it says, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. And so they were just men. And it turns out they were angels, but it says, why do you stand gazing up at the heaven, the same Jesus which has taken them from you into heaven?

He’ll so come in like manners you’ve seen him go. So these two men that were standing by there were actually angels, but they appeared as men and were mistaken as such. Artists in order to distinguish between men and angels were the ones that caused a lot of confusion because they would paint wings on angels to make them be heavenly beings, but there’s no such thing in the scripture. So on there it’s about all I can do. It’s all the way through the Bible.

There’s not a reference to angels even singing anywhere. Those are all things that we get from outside the Bible. And yet in Christmastime all of our Christmas hymns talk about heart the herald angels sing, the choruses or choirs of angels. There’s never a verse in the Bible anywhere that ever said an angel ever saying anything. So I know and I believe that except that they want it proof and that’s all, you know, and I didn’t know where to go.

Well, why don’t you put the burden back on their back and say, you show me a verse that It says angels have wings and then I’ll believe you. Make them do the research. Okay, thank you. All right Mary, thank you so much. There isn’t a verse that says that at all. And we have anonymous in Brandon, Florida. Anonymous, welcome to Babylon. You are on the air. Go ahead. I’m here to show as much as I still have, I’ve been a believer in Christ for about three years now.

I still have my vices and I didn’t call to talk about my vices. What I call to talk about sometimes conversations arise and I’ll bring up the plan of salvation to them. Is that wrong for me to do that while I’m drinking? Well I don’t think you have much of a testimony if you’re doing that. They probably won’t believe you because they just think that you’re just babbling because you’re drunk. I would recommend you not go to those places because the Bible says that we’re in fact you ought to read Psalm 1, I would recommend you memorize it because we’re not to hang with the ungodly with the lost and we’re not to be obviously getting drunk.

I hope you don’t get drunk. But the Bible forbids that. It says we’re not to get drunk with wine yet. You can still be saved and do it. But obviously there’s a price that you’ll pay. And obviously you’ll not be experiencing the joy and the happiness and the rewards that God would love to give you. He would recommend that you read Psalm 1 where it says that we are not to walk in the Council of the Ungodly, nor stand where sinners stand, which is in the bar as many times.

And nor are we to sit down with them and become sconers with them against the Bible, which ultimately will probably happen. Thank you for that call, Anonymous and Brandon, certainly as a believer, God will chase him or discipline you if you’re not going to come in line with his word. But your effectiveness is going to be very, very minimal in your witness for Christ if you’re not living a life that backs up what you’re saying with your mouth. Thank you for your call.

We have got a good a break here so I hope you will keep your radio dial tuned right where it is. This is Friday and we will be back again on Monday and if you want you can listen to the second half on the internet if your station doesn’t carry it. Be right back. Take through to Bible Life. Dr. Engman’s sure we will be right back. Don’t go away. Bible Life will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771.

1-800-576-3771. Well thank you for tuning in today and God bless all of you who are listening to my blind and we hope that you are learning. As a believer we have a responsibility to make a second choice to live for Christ and that’s where the blessings come in. If we don’t then obviously we’re going to lose out on rewards in heaven and we are not can enjoy the fullness of joy that a Christian can have as they yield their lives to obey the Lord.

I hope that you are enjoying Bible and in learning and growing and certainly I hope you’ll take a look at our website and our online bookstore. We have a lot of wonderful resources that I recommend and one of the greatest is that handbook on personal evangelism. The book just leads you through how to lead someone else to Christ. These are days when we need to get our loved ones saved. We just told the story about the man in Tennessee that called in this morning, having been diagnosed with colon cancer, his friends praying for him.

Somebody from Florida gave him the CD, the message that I delivered, how permanent is your salvation which has led so many many to Christ. He got saved, called the number, had no idea who we were. he ordered fifteen so he can reach and give back to those friends of him that prayed for him and reached them with the gospel of Jesus Christ as he got saved by listening to that CD. So many have trusted the Lord through that. If you have a friend or relative you might want to get some of those and give them out for Christmas or mail them out for Christmas and use them as an evangelistic tool.

The greatest gift you could ever receive is the eternal life and you could be distributing that gift at Christmas by using some of the tools that we have, the tracks and the books that we have that will tell you how to do that. And of course the Scofield Bible which is so valuable in learning God’s Word. We hope that you will pray for Bibleline and if you can give a gift to Bibleline, it would be greatly appreciated. We are totally list or supported and we are extended right out at the outer limits of what we can afford to do.

So therefore, we need your help because we’re trying to get this message out as far and as wide as we can while we still have time before Jesus comes back. Leaving for Israel March 12th, coming back March 23rd on Monday we leave and come back on Friday 12 days in Israel. We hope you’ll consider going. Call the 800 number. We’ll send you the Israel trip information and we need you to soon get your $100 deposit in and we’ll get you going.

We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break into Bible and Part 2. If your station doesn’t carry the second half, go to the Internet. You’ll catch the full program at BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. And stay tuned now as we go to the second half of Bibleline right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

Alright, we’re through that break and again thank you so much for tuning in today. We really appreciate our audience. It’s Friday. I hope you’ve listened all week long. Again, if you missed any days, they’re on the Internet. If you go to BibleLineMinistries.org, you’ll be able to listen to all the programs you missed and other programs for the past month or so are sitting there for you to listen to. Plus our Bible and television programs are available for you to watch.

We’re streaming our Sunday morning worship service. So if you go to my website and click on the camera on the home page at about eleven o’clock Sunday morning, when the message begins to be brought, you will see the audio and video come up on your screen. But please take advantage of that. That’s BibleLineMinistries.org or .com and click on the camera for the webcasting of the Sunday message delivered that I give on Sunday mornings here at Calvary Community Church. You can join us and you can watch some past worship service messages as well.

We appreciate all of you who pray for and give the Bible and because we are less disappointed. We are totally dependent upon you and we could really use your help at this time. If you’d like to send a gift to Bible Land, it would help us as we are unable to stay on the air without your support and your help to pay the bills. And so that your program can continue in your area. We need you to help us and make sure that your area is fully supported.

And I hope that you’ll consider doing that. You can do it by credit card over the phone or you can call our operators and get our dress recited to you or have an envelope sent to you so you can send a gift into Bible on. Again, God bless you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I hope you attend church someplace and if you’re in the Tampa Bay area close enough to drive, come over and visit with us on our third Sunday which will be the 19th.

We’re going to have a Thanksgiving celebration service and a wonderful turkey celebration dinner following and you can come on that Sunday and bring your family and be my guest and enjoy a turkey dinner celebration for Thanksgiving on the 19th year. After the morning worship, come at 1030, bring your family, your appetite and your Bible and then stay for the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner that will follow. We have Edgar in Petersburg, Virginia and Edgar, welcome to Bibleline your On the Air.

Hey, how you doing, Dr. Hay? Good. I was calling about Luke 3 and 8 about Baron Fruitz, worthy of repentance. And I asked this question because I was recently attending a Baptist Independent Church. I’m not a denominationalist myself, but I was attending the church. And the preacher, he’s one of those preachers that believe that repentance means turning from sin. And so I didn’t conform with his doctrines, so we sat down and… down and talked about it and uh… you know i i gave my arm viewpoint from what i have been told and do the uh…

bible on uh… uh… repentance word study season you know we just couldn’t reach an agreement telling me that a person is repentance you know that turn it and i just wanted you to elaborate on that uh… sure well we i think we answered at the other day for someone else but in And we did it for Matthew, but in Luke it’s the same thing. He had the religious leaders come down. He attracted a lot of attention because of the multitudes it came.

And the religious leaders came down to see what was taking place. And he called them a generation of snakes. And he called them vipers, which is a deadly snake. And he says, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? And they came and were going to be water baptized by John. And John said that you need to be able to show me or demonstrate to me that you have changed your mind and believed on Christ or I’m not going to baptize you.

In other words, he knew that they were hypocrites and they came to be baptized and yet they were not saved. And I don’t baptize people that are unsaved either. So if somebody says they want to be baptized, I will ask them questions to be convinced in my mind that they’ve understood the gospel and are truly saved here. But the change of mind that takes place when you trust Christ is what saves. It’s never turning from sin. Obviously, a lot of preachers get it wrong and they just will never want to change.

But yet at the same time, these same preachers will have their choirs sing just as I am I come. In one breath they’ll tell the audience you have to turn from your sin to be able to come to Christ. And then they’ll have the choir sing, no that’s not true, you just come as you are. Just as I am I come without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me. The hymn writer has it right. And the word repent comes from the Greek meta anoia, meta meaning change, anoia meaning mind.

The Greek word is metanoia meaning a change of mind. you change your mind about how to be saved and about who Christ is and you simply trust him, God saves you, but it never means turn from sin. And the fruit that demonstrates that you have changed your mind and trust in Christ was not there with these religious leaders who he called a bunch of snakes. They still were snakes and looked like snakes in the sense that they were not reborn again, they were not saved and needed to know Christ as their Savior.

We do thank you for calling. We have Doug in Pinsco, Florida. Doug, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Good morning, brother Hank. This brother Doug Lament comes to call out listening to them. WVTJ. All right. And I always say that VTJ always reminds me of victory through Jesus. Okay. Look at, I got a couple verses. I’m the sons of Dad and you were, I believe, talking about repentance while I was on hold. The verse I used in nursing homes is X 2021.

And it fits and perfectly with what you were saying. It’s wonderful, isn’t it? That’s a good one. Testifying both the Jews and Greeks, repents toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. We’ve got one memorized. And we’re toward your direction. Well, yeah, amazingly, it’s a change of mind toward God. And obviously, many people see God in a fearful way that he’s going to send them to hell if they do this or do that or whatever and they need to recognize he’s a loving God who provided a Savior in Jesus Christ and when we place our trust in Christ God saves us and you’re absolutely right.

If you got 30 seconds before I throw these two verses on the subject I want to tell you something about repentance. If I could quickly insert it, do you have time? Go ahead. We were visiting in 1981 and my friend was sick that night so we went back to visit the guy because it wasn’t sure before, you know, if we had got through to him and went back and he had prayed with apparently except the Lord. And we went back and I said, I don’t think he got saved.

So my partner read him to the Lord and he said, I’ll discover he’d been wrong the week before he said, he said, I’ve been wrong my whole life. I just broke out the grin and I go, that’s it. I’m wrong my whole. Anyway, I had one verse on the sons of God and Genesis 6. I don’t know whether you teach it that way, but I don’t believe that the sons of God that saw the daughters of men, those were angels and that had secular.

I’m not sure how you teach that. Well, I don’t buy that at all. I believe the sons of God were believers and that’s the way to use throughout the Bible. The one verse that forever silences those who teach that the sons of God are angels is Hebrews 1-5. God says there that he never called an angel his son. It says to which of the angels that God at any time say, that, aren’t my son. The answer implied is he never did.

He never called an angel his son. And so that’s Hebrews 1-5 and that’s a great answer. But those were believers and they were marrying unbelievers and the result was of course the gospel didn’t go down to the children and the whole world became corrupted and there was only one family saved at the time when god said no a found grace in the eyes of a war but the rest of the world totally uh… profit profit he called and i’m the son of god at the end of the week three the other birth i want to give you within the uh…

uh… this was kind of the also in uh… in job thirty eight seven now you know you need to interpret that differently uh… when the morning star saying together and all the fun forgot showed up for joy but like i said that kind of iffy but that could be interpreted to be the angel singing well many people do but if you read the context it can’t be there’s talking about uh… the uh… stars and the constellations in the stars associated with them and uh…

and uh… and the the hebrew poetry bears that out in the verse that you’re looking at it says when the morning stars saying together and all the sons of god’s side shadow for joy the morning stars which were actually stars They, scientists today know that stars sing. The radio telescopes detect the sounds that come forth from the stars. And if you read later in the chapter it says in verse 31, Can’t Stop Mind the Sweet Influences of Plates or Loose the Bands of Orion.

Can’t Stop Bring forth Masroth in his season or Can’t Stop Guide Octoris. And then notice what it says with his sons. So the stars associated with a star system or constellation are called suns and they’re the suns that God created. So here in the… Chapter in the context demands that we’re talking about stars here and they were created at the beginning when the universe was created and stars amidst sounds and We know that today is the sign to be fact and it’s not talking about angels at all Yeah, I wanted to commend you brother Hank And that when people call in and do correct you and and I called in about the blood I always think it nurse I’m called not about the blood you mentioned it one day Yeah, and we were talking you were talking about the bug still around the ground now

I really appreciate it. You’re correct on it because nobody can weld it. Dr. Hank Lindstrom. thinking about that particular thing but I really appreciate your emphasis on the blood. Well thank you so much and obviously there is this salvation apart from the blood of Jesus. Thank you for your call that was up in Pensacola Florida and that station is pretty powerful. It reaches way back toward the east in Florida and also in Alabama as well. Well, thank you for calling in Doug in Pensacola, Florida.

If you have a question, you can call in 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Again, we’re going to Israel March 12th. I’d love to have you go with me. That’s a Monday coming back the 23rd of Friday, 12 days in Israel. The information you can call and the operators will be going to send it out to you or you can go to my website, Bibleline Ministries, and you’ll be able to have the information come right off the internet on my website, BibleLineMinistries.org.

If you click on the Bibleline News, you’ll be able to see that. We have Arthur in Belgrade, Florida, and welcome Arthur to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yes, how you do with Dr. Lassen? Good. Okay. I’d like to ask you a question about Constantine. I would like to know, was he the same man? I don’t know that he was ever saved. I don’t think necessarily he was. But he did see a sign in the sky, cloud formation apparently, that in the shape of a cross, he interpreted that to mean that God was saying that the whole world would be Christian and And he declared the world of a Christian and he obviously changed, you know, for ten Roman emperors in a row.

They were persecuted Christians. Now all of a sudden Christians were in the limelight and were everybody was to be a Christian. So, in a way it was a good thing, but in another way it was a bad thing because then the paganism continued but it was given Christian names. Okay, okay. What about C? I think they see a Lewis Cs Lewis is He obviously didn’t believe in hell if you read his writings. He was all messed up and he had he believed in evolution theistic evolution that God brought about the process of creation through evolution He didn’t believe in hell.

He believed in salvation by works. He believed you could lose your salvation I’m not much good I can say about C.S. Lewis at all. His writings are filled with bad doctrine. Okay, so if he was the type of person that believed that you could lose your salvation. And I hear a lot of preachers always refer to C.L. Lewis writing, so that made that day in error too. Well sometimes, birds of a feather flock together, sometimes if they may, a lot of people just haven’t done any homework.

But if you read what C.S. Lewis believed, he was not a good example of a good Christian either. He lived for 25 years while he was married, lived in a sexual relationship with another woman. And he was not the Christian example I want to follow. Okay, I thank you very much. Alright, see you as well. It’s not my favorite guy and Obviously his Doctrine was severely flawed Especially believing you could lose your salvation and that there is no hell and so on and so on We have Fred in Richmond, Virginia, and Fred welcome to Bibleline Yeah, Dr Hank this might sound like a facetious question, but the last call or a new where he’s an interesting thought you talked about he talked about If God does healing, I’m not going to hang up and listen to your answer to this.

If God does healing, people pray for healing. Why does he never heal amputees? All right. I think you got it exactly right and it certainly wasn’t too much back in his days in the day of Christ. He did replace missing flesh. But today I think what we have is a charade that the gift of healing was a temporary gift. It was really to evidence the fact that the Messiah was here and the Messiah according to Isaiah chapter two. 35 would do these things and during the millennium when he reigns as king It’s going to be a pretty well-earth because he’s going to heal all manner of diseases But he doesn’t promise that for now.

So because Christ was rejected The gifts were temporary and they were taken and withdrawn But Christ will again obviously heal during the thousand year end of Christ, but it’s gone I have several blind people in my church. If I knew of a healer that could give them sight, I’d take them myself. They’ve already been through all of that before they ever came to me. Now they see better than many sighted people spiritually. They see 2020, but physically they’re going to get new bodies and they’ll see in Heaven.

I agree with you. I think the modern day healing movement is a charade and it’s not the real gift. If they really could I suggest they when they come to town that they go to the hospitals and empty them out Floor by four wouldn’t that be great boy? I’ll tell you they get worldwide attention if they did that wouldn’t they they never go near the hospitals and where Nursing homes where people are really in need of healing. They just don’t do that at all and Basically most of their presentation is about money in fact some of the healers hurt people We had a fellow in our church and his mother against his warnings went to Benny Hinn.

And she was so-called slain in the spirit, fell back, broke her arm between her shoulder and her elbow, screaming on him pain. They told her to shut up and they dragged her out of the meeting. They really should have taken her up and said, Benny Hinn, you broke her arm. You need to fix it. But they didn’t. And she’s still healing. And it’s been quite a while. It’s a very difficult break to heal. I have another man in my church with permanent back injury, same thing with so-called slain in the spirit, his back against the edge of the pew and he still has permanent injuries.

They don’t tell you about all those people that get hurt in these meetings, but they don’t, I don’t believe they heal anybody. And that’s my view. And thank you for calling Fred in Richmond, Virginia. And we’d love to hear from others of you and other cities that are listening to Bible Some of you are listening at different times of day, but you could call if you watch your clock between 10 and 11 to come up live with us. But otherwise, you can leave your questions off here.

We have Claude calling in from Ontario, Canada. And he says, I grew up in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and I’m filled with guilt every time the Sabbath comes. is the seventh day the true Sabbath? And the answer is yes, Claude, the seventh day is the Sabbath, but we’re not under the Sabbath today. Jesus said that he took the laws of the Old Testament and nailed them to his cross. In Colossians, it says he took them out of the way, and it says in verse 16 of Colossians 2, Claude write this one down, listening up in Ontario, Canada.

It says in Colossians 2 16, let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of a holy day or of the new moon or of the Sabbath. We are not under the Sabbath. We now worship on the first day of the week, which is Sunday, and Christ is the one who established that. He came back from the dead on the first day of the week Sunday. He made his first appearance on Sunday, the first day of the week.

The second big appearance that Christ made was on the eighth day. That was a Sunday. The church age began on Pentecost. That was on a Sunday. The early Christians came together on the first day of the week to worship. That was a Sunday. And so we’re not under the Sabbath. Remember that verse. There are others but Colossians 216 Claude and thanks for calling in and leaving your offer question from Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Wow. We’re excited that we’re reaching outside of the United States through the internet.

146 countries have logged in. We have a caller in parish, Florida, and Kathy calls in and says, please explain 1 John 3-7. Please explain what this means. I’m a former Catholic, trying to witness to my mother, who’s still Catholic. This is one of the verses that she brought up to support Jesus plus works. Well, at 1 John 3 is talking about the new birth, the new nature, Kathy, that we have, that is sinless and desires to please the Lord.

And it says here, little children here in 1 John 3, 7, let no man deceive you. He to do with righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. Now, you have to think about what it says in Romans 3 and 10. As it is written, Paul writes, there is none righteous, no not one. So nobody on the planet is righteous. It says, all have sinned, all have come short of the glory of God. Yet God’s righteousness is demanded as a requirement for salvation.

that righteousness is given by faith or credited to the account of the believer by faith when you trust Jesus as your Savior. And so here it’s talking about the one who is righteous is the one that can do righteous things before God that will be rewarded in heaven. It’s like what Christ says in Matthew 7 and Matthew 12, a corrupt tree, bringing forth Corrupt Fruit and a Good Tree, bring a fourth Good Fruit. Those are similar concepts that if you are a Corrupt Tree, you’re unsaved.

Obviously, you can do nothing to please God because you’re not saved and nothing you do is going to please the Lord. But if you become saved, then you can produce good works. Let me read it to you in Matthew 12. Christ says either make the tree good and his fruit good or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt. So it’s talking here about whether you’re a good tree or a bad tree or whether you’re considered wicked or considered righteous, which is based upon your trusting Christ as Savior.

And obviously he says then in verse 25 of Matthew 12, a good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringing forth good things, and the evil man, that’s the unsay person out of the evil treasure of his heart bringing forth evil things. So it’s talking about which birth have you had, it’s talking about the new birth and how the new birth is sinless and cannot sin, and the believer now can do things that are worthy of reward.

only if your mother is born again, which I hope she understands that concept, can she obviously produce any work that would be considered good in our sight, in God’s sight. But it’s not our works that save us. It’s our faith in what Christ did for us that brings about salvation. We have Peter in Tampa, Florida, and Peter, you’re on the air. Hello, Dr. Hank. How are you doing? Good. This is Dave in Plant City. Dave in Plant City. well i thought you’re a peter but go ahead uh…

anyhow the last i called in he asked you why didn’t god restore flesh not not these fake healers and you kind of got off track got on talking about them faith he was why doesn’t god replace flesh today when we pray to him all right i i i really don’t think that was the intent of this question but you may be right and of course this body is going to perish and he’s going to give us a new body in heaven and that’s the reason he’s not going to necessarily improve this body we’re all going to die and uh…

we are looking forward to new bodies uh… in heaven i think we have another caller here and if you’re there welcome all right who’s this turn your radio down is this peter what’s your question we have only a few minutes or few seconds uh… well we got a couple seconds less of you have a question you have to ask you quickly I read an article recently about them, it’s going three million year old bones.

And I’m kind of shook my face a little bit, believe it and so on and so forth. Okay. Well, first of all, I think that is totally an error. They date the bones by the rocks, the age of the rocks that they find them in. So if I were killed in Avalonge and the rocks were 3.5 million years old, then they would say I was 3.5 million years old. That is just totally unreliable. And I would think that you’re getting a fool there.

Do your homework. And if you read carefully, you’ll find out. that they don’t find any bones that are that old at all for sure, especially of human beings. Actually, man has been on this planet very recently, but there are lather life forms where I think they are pretty old, but no human life. We don’t have time to do much more with that because of the time here, but Peter, I hope that helps a little bit and we’ll maybe tackle it again on Monday if you call back.
