John 3:16 reminds us of this wonderful doctrine of the incarnation of God in a human body. Jesus was then to die on Calvary to pay for the sins of all mankind, so that all who would trust (believe) on Christ would not perish, but have everlasting life.

Providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline. I’m great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. And we come to you Monday through Friday live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.
And we always love to meet our listeners. And if you ever get a chance to come by and say hi, we would love to get a chance to meet This would be a great weekend to do that, by the way. We have on our third Sunday, which is this Sunday, a dinner. If you come to the morning worship, be my guest and stay for a wonderful dinner. The best home cooked food in all the world. That’s a lunch right after the church service.
If you want to come at 9.15, you can join me for my adult class or choose other classes and put your children in the Sunday school. And then at 10.30 in the morning worship and then the lunch following, you could make it a day. If you’re driving in from a distance and we certainly hope you’ll come and see us. That is this Sunday, a dinner Sunday. Of course, our resource centers open every day, Monday through Friday, right up until about 4.30 in the afternoon, Eastern Standard Time.
You can come by and visit our resource center and take a look at the many things that we have here for you at our Bible and headquarters. Come on by and see us, we’re right next to Tampa’s airport, we’re one blocked west of the Tampa International Airport, easy to find from anywhere that you might be coming. All the roads northeast, west, south, all head toward the Tampa airport. So it makes it easy when you’re coming to find us that we’re right on the west side of the airport on George Road that runs north and south and is one block west of and parallels the main north south runway and the main north south road that actually is the perimeter road on the west of the airport.
We’re the next street over George Road. If you get more than a block from the airport, then you’re getting lost. You don’t want to have that happen. So make sure you kind of hug the airport where a block west of Tampa’s international airport. We’re teaching a wonderful class on Tuesday nights. It’s called Jesus is coming. We hope that you will come out for those classes or if you are in other parts of the country you can sign up and get the passcode and watch them on the internet and those classes will sit there.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 hours of teaching up there right now on Jesus’ coming. This is such an exciting class. Those that are actually in the classroom, I think, are starting to levitate a little bit, getting ready for that rapture. I’m teasing a little bit, but we have fun. And definitely, we’re in the days when we ought to be walking a little higher and getting a little spring in our step because Jesus really is coming. You ever done any Rapture practice?
Always tease about this, but you kind of get out in an open area like a parking lot in your driveway and you kind of rock back and forth on your toes and heels and kind of Loosen your arms up and flap a little bent and get ready to take off Your name was a thing you’re crazy But you know as a Christian we know that we are gonna fly away But we won’t need to do any Rapture practice if you’re a believer you’re going.
And by the way, we’re not going through the tribulation period. There are some that think that they will. And I think sometimes that maybe they will because usually bad theology bleeds over to more bad theology. And if you don’t have that right, you may not have salvation right. Sometimes generally those who have wrong positions on some of these things don’t get their salvation right. So maybe they will go through the tribulation because unbelievers will be left behind, but if you’re a genuine believer, you’re going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
And you know, it’s just in 1st Thessalonians 1-10 that we’re not to wait for the tribulation period, we’re to wait for His Son from heaven. He has delivered us from the wrath to come. In the context of that book, I believe the wrath is the tribulation period. He’s delivered us from the wrath. We are to wait for Christ. If the tribulation period were first, then we’d have to wait for tribulation. It doesn’t tell us ever to do that. It says that we as believers are to wait for His Son from heaven.
Who has delivered us from the wrath which has become. And that exciting. I’ll tell you, we’re living in the church. in a wonderful time in history. This is the days in which Christ will come back and we certainly hope that you will be in that rapture. If you are a believer, you will be. Every believer we caught up to meet the Lord in the air and you certainly don’t want to miss that event. If you’re a believer, you won’t.
Every believer will be there. Well, we’re going to turn to the Scriptures for a couple of minutes here and then we’re going to go ahead and take our callers. You’re welcome to call them. People are already calling in. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. Like to hear from you folks up there in the Chattanooga area. I’d like to hear from you folks up there in Nashville, Tennessee. Those folks in Memphis, Tennessee, give us a call. Let us know you’re out there hearing us.
Those people in the Mobile, Alabama area, Pensacola, Florida, give us a call and let us hear from you. How about you folks up there in Lansing, Michigan and you folks in Flint and Second on Michigan. You folks that are in New York, give us a call. Let us hear from you. You folks in Richmond, Virginia, are you listening? Give us a call today and we’d like to hear from you in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and other places where Bible light is on the air and of course all you folks over on the east goes to Florida around Daytona Beach the land, Florida All throughout that whole area give us a call we would love to hear from you If you have your Bible open, get it open and we’ll turn to a wonderful passage.
It’s Hebrews chapter 12 and here the Lord tells us that in verse 6 for whom the Lord loveth, he chasineth and scourges every son whom he receives. It’s a great verse that tells us when you trust the Lord as Savior, you become born again and are received into God’s family as his son or daughter, and because the Lord loves you and now that you have become his child. Did you know that God is not your father until you’re born again?
That’s right. We are not God’s children nor has God our Father until we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior. God is your Creator, you are His creation. And you know, it’s amazing. I’ve heard some in Ecumenical Circles Pray, oh God creator, blah blah blah blah in their prayer and address God as a Creator. Perhaps that’s a tip off that they’re not saved. So God is the creator of all of us, but he’s only the father of those that are born again.
You see, that’s when we are begotten, the Bible says, and we’re begotten by the Gospel. When we believe the Gospel message, the message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ, the Bible says we’re begotten again of God’s own will. James 1 18 tells us and it’s by his word. When we believe the word, we believe the gospel, we become born again and then God for the first time becomes our Father. And then you can address God as your Father.
Those who pray the Lord’s Prayer, our Father which art in heaven, hell would be thy name. You can’t pray that prayer unless you’re born again because God is not your Father. Jesus said in John 14-6, I am the way, the truth in the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. So you can’t approach the Father. God is not your Father until you trust Christ as Savior. In John 8-44 Christ booked those unbelieving Jews and said, You are of your Father.
The devil! Whoa! Pretty strong words, isn’t it? Well, obviously anyone that is not saved has Satan as their father, but when you become your father, and then for the first time you can pray our Father which art in heaven. Obviously, many people don’t get this right. And many people think that God is their father and attempt to pray to God as their father when he is not. This wonderful verse in Hebrews 2, 12 tells us in verse 6 for whom the Lord loves, he chases and surges every son whom he receives.
So if you become received into God’s family as a son or daughter by the new birth. Now I was born into this world physically and then later at 18 I was born into God’s family by the new birth. And that new birth occurred when I trusted Christ as Savior. You know, a lot of people don’t know much about the new birth, but Jesus said, except you’re born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God. The Bible says in 1 John 5-1, whosoever believe it that Jesus is the Son of God is born of God.
So in order to become born of God, or to have the new birth, or become a child of God, You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. You have to trust Christ as your Savior. When you do that, you become born again, God becomes your Father, and then God says you cannot live as you please because the Lord loves you and will discipline and scourge every son whom he receives. Verse 8 says, If you be without discipline or chastisement, where of all, a-l-l, every believer is a partaker.
It says then you’re a bastard in the King James. Pretty strong word, huh? You’re a bastard and not a son. What is it saying? It’s saying that you’re maybe walking around claiming you’re a Christian, but are not. You know, for 18 years, if you’d asked me, I would have said I was a Christian. Well, you know, I didn’t start talking, probably, towards water too. But in any case, for most of those 18 years, as a young person, if you’d asked me, I was raised in a church that claimed to be Christian.
And I always assumed I was a Christian. If you’d have asked me to write down what faith I am, I would say Christian, I didn’t know any difference. I wasn’t a Christian because I was not saved. I was not born again. And that was because nobody ever explained the gospel to me. And that was in my church. It’s amazing how many times I meet people that have been in church all their life but are not born again that don’t know the Lord is their Savior.
Nobody ever explains to them who’s to ever believe it that Jesus is the Son of God, is born again first John 5-1. John 3 16 is really, is Jesus telling Nicodemus how to be born again. He says Nicodemus for God so loved the world that all of us so much that he gave is only be gotten the Son of Jesus Christ that whosoever believeth in him, that’s any of us that would believe or trust in Christ that we would not perish because he perished in our place, but we would have present tense right now, everlasting life.
That’s the new birth. When you believe or trust Christ as your Savior, when you trust Him is the one who died for you and shed his blood to pay for your sin debt and full at the cross, you become born again. Then God all of a sudden begins to interfere in your life. You know, I never knew about that, but you know, once I became saved, it became real. I found that God began to work in my life and I went off to a secular university in 18 and at 19 I dedicated my life.
The Lord had worked on me that whole year and brought me to a place where I got on my knees and dedicated my life to Christ at 19. That’s when I chose to serve the Lord. It was a year after I had gotten saved or born again. A little bit I realize that God was going to do that from the Scripture. But now I look back and I see it’s all here. God says that once you become born again, he will work in your life.
And it’s still your choice. Whether you serve or you don’t serve, whether you’re obedient or disobedient is a Christian. But that has nothing to do with our salvation. We’re saved once and for all and forever. The moment we trust Christ, he promises in John 637, he never cast you out for any reason. In John 639 Christ’s promises that he would not lose one person. This is what’s so amazing. People say he can be lost. Have they read the Bible?
Jesus says in John 639, this is the Father’s will. That of all which have given me I should lose none. Not the first dozen or the first couple hundred or the first couple thousand. He says, I will lose none. N-O-N-E, not one. Not one. Not one would ever be lost. That’s the Father’s will. How can anyone be lost then? No one has ever been lost. If one person were ever lost, Christ would be a liar, the Bible would be wrong.
Basically, the Bible says, yes, you are safe forever, but it’s not a license to sin, because God, as a Father, will discipline you. He will not allow you to live as you please. If you are not disciplined, then it When we prove you are a bastard, that means you are not a child of God. You are not a Christian. You are not saved. You are parading around, claiming you are illegitimately. But in reality, you are a bastard and not his son.
Whoa, pretty powerful words. Hebrews 12, take a look at it. We’re going to go to the phone lines. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Anke Lindstrom. This is Bible. I’d welcome to Bibleline. We would love to hear from you. is a call and this is again a Bibleline and I’m Dr. Englund’s room and we’re coming to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvert Community Church where I’m the pastor. We’re going to go first to Plant City, Florida.
We have Dave and Dave welcome to Bibleline your own year. Good morning Dr. Hank. I appreciate you taking my call and how are you doing today? Doing good. Thank you. That’s good. I got two questions today. The first one is I was doing a little word study and I’m looking in the front of the strong’s concordance and I noticed that songs of Solomon is referred to as canticles. Do you know, could you explain that to me please? I really can’t.
I’ll have to figure out what you’re trying to say there. I don’t know the answer. Where the books are all listed and I look in my Scofield Bible where, you know, the preference of the book there and it didn’t say anything about it. So I just wondered while they titled it, Cantacles. And if you’re looking the strong, you’ll see what I’m talking about between Ecclesiastes and Isaiah. It’s the Cantacles. And I don’t know what that means. I’ll have to, we’ll make you know that.
We’ll try to figure it out, Dave. All right, I appreciate it. I hear a lot of people call in, and they talk this business about giving their heart, and inviting Jesus in their life, and committing. I’ve been looking, and everywhere I read, salvation is a free gift. I know I think it’s Dr. Anonymous and Dave City’s one that calls and discusses this. If he or any other pastor out there could tell me what doctor and they use or scripture they used to back up this is where we have to give, to commit, or do any kind of word like that to get salvation if they’d call and explain that to us.
I’d really appreciate that. How was it? Salvation is a free gift and by the grace of God we’re saved. It’s just not there Dave and that’s the amazing thing People invent things and then try to find support in the Bible somewhere for it And it’s just not there. Thank you so much for your call Dave and appreciate that We now have Mike in St. Petersburg and Mike welcome to Bibleline it Hello Mike, are you there? Yes, sir. How you doing?
All right good good morning. All right, um, trying to try to uh, States. States began. Yeah, but I’m not too sure that we need to try to link those two together. I think backsliding has to do with sin and apostasy has to do with doctrine and they might have a connection somewhat, but generally they know together. A person can be Dr. Lissan and backslide, but a person can also be Dr. Lissan and then go up past eight, so I think there are a few different directions.
One has to assume one has to do a doctor. Okay, so we shouldn’t really try to bridge those two together. I wouldn’t put it together at all. No, Mike. Oh, I wouldn’t. Okay. Thanks a lot. And thank you for that call. And that was Mike in St. Petersburg. We don’t have Dwayne in Tampa, Florida and Dwayne, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the hunt. How you doing, love Hank? Good. Hey, I want to know that you know what the Lutherans believe it takes to be safe.
Well, Luther and Martin Luther, the Reformer, you know, brought to light, salvation just by faith. But, you know, as most of the Reformation churches, they’ve kind of gone back and referred to some confusion there. But many of them believe in infant baptism to be saved, and that there are some kind of works involved and you can lose your salvation which is unfortunate. But there are many I’m sure in spite of what is generally believed that are genuinely saved and just trust Christ as your Savior.
But generally almost every group somehow has works to it and and the Lutherans add works to it as well. Okay I think if Martin Luther came back today and were to take a look at the modern church, he would probably roll over and do some flips. You know, it’s amazing how we just need to get back to the Bible. We are living in a time right now when churches have departed from the Bible. And too often we refer to books and other things outside the Bible for our doctrine and not the Scriptures themselves.
We have to go to the Bible. Alright, we’re going to go to some of the obvious questions. We have Greg in Pensacola, Florida, and he says, when the disciples and the apostles refer to the Scriptures, are they referring to the Old Testament? In most cases, absolutely yes. Now Peter calls Paul’s writing scripture in 2 Peter chapter 3 and so on. And so we have some New Testament references, they’re called scripture, but primarily they’re referring to the Old Testament, Greg.
So whenever they are referring to the scriptures, most generally, that’s the case, especially in the, the earliest New Testament books, because there was nothing else around but the Old Testament Scriptures. Julie in Michigan calls in and she leaves this question. She says she was a Mormon until recently and she wonders how a church can get so big and be so wrong. Well, it’s interesting, isn’t it, how, you know, I always think of the story of Noah and you think about how could so many people be so wrong?
Apparently nobody believed it was a flood coming, except for eight people, Noah and his family. And yet God gave them 120 years to preach the message of the coming flood. And apparently nobody believed it. They just didn’t believe it. All the top meteorologists and all the weather channels back in those days were not forecasting rain or forecasting a flood. They were all wrong, weren’t they? Of course I’m teasing a little bit here, but you know, they just didn’t get it.
Nobody did. And so the majority is not always right. In fact, many times the majority is wrong. And in the Old Testament it says, don’t follow the majority to do wrong. Sometimes we have to stand out and do what’s right whether anybody else believes it or not. And we have to go by what the Scriptures teach, whether anybody else believes it or not. The Bible doesn’t have to be believed to be truth. Truth doesn’t have to be believed to be truth.
If no one believed the Bible, it would still be truth. And even the book of Romans tells us in the third chapter, let every man be found a liar, but God be true. Everybody can reject the Bible, but it wouldn’t change the truth of it. The Bible is true and is a book that, by the way, if you’re skeptical, So we’ll prove or demonstrate that it’s true. God never fails in this wonderful book. It’s a marvelous book. I have a great CD that you might want to give to a person who’s a skeptic on the Bible being the Word of God.
It’s pretty convincing, pretty powerful. And so if you have a skeptic in your family, if you can get them to listen to that CD, I have on the Bible Provenor demonstrating to be the Word of God. find that very helpful. Thank you, Julie. There are many groups that are pretty large today. The cults really have come out of the woodwork and grown quite rapidly over the last 100 years or so. The Bible says, of course, in the last days, there would be many false teachers and we see that.
Be sure to subscribe to see more videos on our channel. By the way, by their own writings claim that they are aliens. They claim that they came from the planet Koa and have migrated here. Did you know that? Most people don’t tell you all the stuff about Mormonism. But Mormonism is not even Christian, not even close. They are aliens, supposedly here, coming to the planet Earth to take on bodies formed by the Adam God. Jesus. and absolutely crazy stuff.
It is so wrong and not even close to Christianity. We have a number of other questions. Tim and Clearwater is talking about the emerging church movement. That’s a dangerous movement including all kinds of beliefs. It’s like merging all kinds of liberal theology with Christianity. It’s really a rebellion against the established church and I would stay away from it. It’s not a denomination organization. It’s a theological philosophy. You don’t want to get involved with anything related to the emerging church.
Thank you, Tim. Well, we’re going to have to go to break here in just a second. Let me just say, if you have never trusted Christ, you need to do that and you can just say, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much, but I trust that Jesus died and shed his blood for me at the cross was buried in Roseigan from the dead. I trust you right now is my only hope of heaven and God will save you.

God bless all of you and we always enjoy meeting our listeners and some of you I guess will just hopefully just meet in the air when the rapture happens. I’ll give you a high five. I’m looking forward to that event. And we might be in that generation that is going to live to experience it. And I think we probably are. And that’s exciting too.
Well, anyway, pray for Bibleline and pray for me, pray for all of our listeners. And if you can, if you haven’t given a gift to Bibleline, this month would you consider giving one credit card with the phone or mailing a gift into Bible and God bless all of you who have given and continue to give and I want to thank you in advance for your gifts. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Betty in Tampa, Florida and Betty has a word for us here.
Betty, welcome to Bibleline good morning. Thank you. You were talking with someone earlier about the Candicles of Solomon and you were kind a concern about what the word can’t go meant yes i looked it up in my dictionary and it says uh… number one a song or chant and number two and then whose words are taken from the bible used in certain church services well look at that well thank you so much for doing that homework for me save me a lot of work appreciate that and uh…
and really i you you are audience uh… help us out many many times and I thank you for that Betty. You’re very welcome. Well God wasn’t you too now. Bye bye. That was Betty and I was gonna have to look that up and she saved me all that work. We’re gonna go to Deltona Florida and we have Martin on the line and Martin welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Hi good morning, Dr. Lissher. Good morning. God bless you all.
I was the one that called, I hope it was five to six, and the gibberish stuff that I say. Sure, okay. Yeah, I left the church, actually. Did for you. Because I was telling my friends that, you know, that every week I hear the… I’ve been in the Baptist Church for three years, so now I know the Bible. I just wanted to comment on that. That makes me feel stuff. Thank you for speaking. Every day. That’s something wrong. The other thing that I wanted to say was that if you’re having a lot of nuts if you can help me on that, did the G12 have you heard from it?
No, I haven’t heard about the G12 movement. That’s another new information. You have not? No, I have it. I don’t know where I’ve been. The G12 movement. It comes from… I think from Colombia or from Puerto Rico, it’s something wrong with that movement. If you’re finding it Spanish, maybe you can find it. It’s called Heidosse. It means G12. G12, boy. It’s called G12. It’s a big, big movement in the Spanish community. Okay. I’ll… I’ll have to tune into that.
It’s called G12, but I just wanted to comment about that. Martin D what a de church, you know that I said before we’ll find out about some of that. Oh, thank you Thank you so much. All right. That was Martin and Del Tuna Never heard about the G12. We’ll have to take a look at that. We have Mike in Brookfield Brookfield rather Wisconsin Mike Welcome toPope Bible and you’re on the air. Hi. How you doing? Good. Good to hear from you I’m calling from Wisconsin.
Yes, sir I was in the… But it’s cold up there, huh? Yeah, it’s about nine degrees, I think. Whoa. Yeah, and a wind chill about 20 below, I guess. Whoa. Okay, I have a question for you this morning. All right. Okay, I was reading at work on my break time, and I was reading in the book of Jude. And it says in verse 9, it says, yet Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil, disputed about the body of Moses, just not bring against him a railing accusation, but said the Lord reviewed thee.
I can’t find it anywhere in the Bible. Well, that’s the only place you’re going to find it, and it has to do apparently with the fact that Moses’ body has been preserved so that he can come back during the tribulation period. Revelation 11 when it talks about the two prophets that will come back right after the rapture and crank up the evangelism of the tribulation period that the two prophets there are Moses and Elijah now Elijah never died so no problem about him, but with Moses he did die and apparently Satan is calling foul on God here for preserving that body so Moses can come back and Obviously, Michael doesn’t get into a physical knockdown, drag out fight with Satan.
It says simply the word rebuke me because Satan was arguing over that. But apparently that dispute over his body is in view of the fact that he’s going to come back. I think it’s an appropriate part in the Bible though. The book of Jude kind of bridges the gap between the rest of the Bible, the previous 64 books and the final book the book of Revelation where we read about Moses coming back So it’s kind of interesting and something that’s kind of fascinating when you think about Moses coming back and preaching again here on this earth, but he will Okay, cuz I was like I looked everywhere I could find out.
I don’t know if that’s just and I thought maybe he was just getting that maybe from Jewish folklore or something No, no, no, no, no. This is this is directly from the from God the Spirit of God directed Judeon writing that book and if you read verse three he was going to write about salvation, but the Lord constrained him to write about contending for the faith, standing for the truth in these last days. And if you read Deuteronomy 34, you see when God took Moses’s life, Moses was still full of physical strength.
His eyesight was still 2020. He was in great physical shape and so he’ll come back in that same body and he’s going to be one tough cookie when he preaches during the tribulation period. Well Mike thank you an awful lot and God bless you and have a wonderful try to warm up out there. I want to say another thing too I got my passport and I’ll be going with you. Oh yes that’s wonderful. I’m excited about that and won’t be long and we’ll be over there in the land of Jesus.
Alright I’m looking I’m going to go forward with it. Good, I am too. Thank you, Mike. And Mike has decided to go with us to Israel, and so we’ll be leaving in March and hopefully be able to… Welcome to Bibleline. I’m looking at the weather news. We’re going to go to Donna in Fort Walton Beach and Donna. Welcome to Bibleline. I’m going to get pretty cold up there in the panhandle tonight from what I’m looking at in the weather news.
Well, it was 26 this morning. Oh boy. So, as a welcome change, we’re enjoying the cool weather. Well, good for you. Listen, Pastor Hank, I wanted to know if you know anything about Bob George and people to people ministry and his half hour radio show. It’s on the same radio station that we get your Bible on. Yeah, somebody sent me a tape and I listened to it. I think he was pretty good. So far as I know he’s fine.
I kind of looked up on his website and went through his doctrinal statement. It was quite lengthy. It wasn’t clear and precise and short that I’m used to hearing from you, but it looked like it was pretty much in line with what you’re teaching. He’s quite interesting, kind of a Texas folksy the way he talks and he’s very, I want to say, kind of emotionally, let’s his motions hang out there. But he’s interesting for 30 minutes anyway. Well, thank you very much.
I’ll have to look at that doctor statement on the internet myself and read it over. Usually I can pick up things pretty quickly if they are gone astray. But from what I’ve heard from people who listen to him and the tape that I listened to that somebody sent me, I thought it was pretty good. I just wanted to check it by you before we further listen to his show and I felt like you would tell us if there were any red flags.
Well, thank you. I’ll make it a point today to go look at the website and look at the doctoral statement. So I’ll check that out today. Well, great. And we’ll be watching you on Sunday. Well, good. Thank you. I always enjoy it. Well, thank you so much. Thanks, Patrick. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. And she must be talking about our streaming of our webcast and whatever it is that we do with our worship service we put that up on the air for you on the internet where you can watch the Sunday message given here from the Bible.
We have Gail in Richmond, Virginia and Gail welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Hi Gail. Hello, how are you Dr. Heit? Good. Welcome to the program. Is this Dr. Heit? Yes, you sure are. We’re on the air. Oh, how are you. You have such a wonderful program. Well thank you. May God bless you. All right. How can we help you today? I think it’s an act or it could be a loop when Moses and Elijah and Moses. Yeah, it was.
When he transfigured they would have a conversation. Yeah. Does that mean he was in heaven? Because he was in a cloud or? No, it was on the earth. It was a the Lord showed himself as he will be in the sick and coming. He went up into a high mountain and he took Peter, James and John with him. There they saw Moses and Elijah with Christ, which is of course the two prophets that will come back. And of course Peter gets all excited and says, you know, we need to build three tents here, one for Jesus, one Moses the one for Elijah.
Anyway, Jesus seemed to ignore Peter and there’s a voice out of heaven that says this is my beloved son and so on. It’s a great passage and obviously they got to see Christ as he’s shown like the sun. He’ll come back in all this glory and his second coming. It’s a beautiful picture of the second coming. It is, but it made a spirit to walk around our Earth, Dan. Well, they came for that particular reason. You know, that was a special vision or appearance for the mistake of those three men.
They got to see the second coming. Oh, okay. Well, thank you so much for that. All right. Take care, Gil, and thank you for listening to Bibleline. We have Dr. Anonymous. He’s out there somewhere. We don’t know what city or what town or what state or anything, but let’s check out what Dr. Anonymous has to say for us today. Welcome to Bible End. How you doing, Dr. Hank? All right. You sound excited. This cool weather’s got you frisky and…
you. Ready to go today. Hey, man. I’m all bright. I wish you tell this. There you go. How can I help you today? Hey, man. I heard some of your children calling up today. You’re apparently a celebrity of a sort. Yeah, you know the Bible say everything got to be scripture. You know what I’m saying? The Bible say you would know the tree by the fruit at bear. I didn’t know dark you kind of like. Oh, I’m kind of treated this.
It’s kind of like a lemon tree. But you know, I want to make some lemonade this morning called the Baba’s Day. All of the fruit really, really come together and we could get some good out of here. Can I get an amen out there? All right. Hey, listen. You can’t build a bar, but you need to read probably to live it more and then you could come and adopt a number. All right? I’ll get him out the way. I’m not worried about him.
Oh, you were saying something a while back. You know, you promise them not to have coffee with me someday, and I hope we… We could tell Billabob to come too, and all of them can have coffee to get. All right, we’ll get it together. I’d be fun. Well, let’s get back to the subject here. He was trying to put words in my mouth like you try to do sometimes. One thing I’d do is come and we got words. You got a problem with God, word.
You got a problem with God. You know what I’m saying? So what words are we putting in your mouth? Well, upon my recollection, because I was driving down the road when I heard this, I had come in that Dr. Nolum, you even got better sits than that. But anyway, he was saying that I said, giving your heart to God, something like that. I never said that. And the God was that you believe in the subject of Christ and you believe in your heart.
I just said, give God your heart. So if you want to say things about Dr. Nolum, you better get it right. Tell me read the temp chapter Roman again. I read it over and over until you get it right. Okay? I would talk with you later. I have a great day. Thank you now. Okay, we don’t want to put words in his mouth that aren’t there but no doubt about it We are saved when we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ Roman 10 10 says that with the heart or the mind the center of your thought processes is what the word heart means you believe and are made righteous and so when you trust Christ as Savior you become saved.
Well thank you Dr. Anonymous. If you’d like to call us the phone number here at Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771. We have a number of wonderful things in our Resource Center here. Let me just say that I recommend the Strong’s Concordance and we have that available here and we can ship it out to you. That’s better than a phone book but it has every word, every the thou and and but and shout that it’s in the Bible and it will buy a number code system, give you the original Greek or Hebrew word depending on whether it’s the older New Testament and it’s a wonderful way to do some real study in your Bible.
If you know one word in a verse, you can look up that one word and in the strong and cordance will quote every verse in the Bible where that word occurs, a part of the verse. So you’ll be able to find a verse you’ve been looking for real quickly. And then it’ll give you by a number code system and you’ll have access to the scholarship of 200 Hebrew Greek scholars, but you’ll be able to look up the actual Hebrew or Greek word and what it meant and how it is translated throughout the Bible.
Wonderful tool, we have that. We also have the Vines expository Bible Dictionary which gives you more of the root meanings of the words and really helps you understand Bible passages by going back to the original language. If you go to your regular English dictionary, you will not find that you will get necessarily the meaning that comes from the original words into our English Bible. But you don’t have to know any Hebrew Greek to figure this one out. It’s a wonderful tool.
We have that. And also we have the Scofield Bible. The old Scofield is becoming more and more scarce. If you go to your bookstore, they generally don’t carry it. But we have it in stock here. And that’s the only one. In fact, that we recommend as the old Schofield Reference Bible, we have that available. And we have it in a soft, hardback, and leather, and large print. So you might want to call and talk to our operators about that.
We have the two commentaries that I love so much. The Jameson Fossett Brown 3-volume Unabridged commentary has a comment on every scripture. And so you really got it made with that. Plus we have the Jay Vernon McGee Company, five volumes. It’s a wonderful set. We have about 200. We have it for a gift of 100. and that has someone every chapter in the Bible. So, J. Vernon McGee will get you launched in the right direction and usually you can move forward from there with that.
A lot of other things, but let me go back to the phone lines. We have Mary in Tampa waiting patiently. Mary, welcome to Bibleline your own year. Yes. I was just curious this morning on the news. I heard them say that there is a preacher in Miami. Well, I’m not sure if it’s Miami. in the south part of Florida that says he is Jesus and that 666 is a good thing. Had you heard anything about that? Yeah, he’s in Miami.
Apparently if you want to visit Jesus you can go down there. Of course I don’t believe that. But yeah, he claims that he’s God. I’ve looked it up on the internet and apparently he has quite a following and he believes he is Jesus. Oh my goodness, I can’t believe that. well you know the bible said the last days many would come uh… saying their christ and uh… uh… he’s one of them i’m telling you that’s scary and i really have it really is uh…
for for is one thing for somebody to say that but then i have a large following the believing that’s that’s really the part that bothers me i heard that me too i i just i couldn’t believe it i i i i just when i heard it on the news this morning at the first time i heard that it’s a very interesting i’m not going to drive down there to see him though i a man that will take you very for call you well thank you all right very uh…
apparently jesus is living in miami are we have uh… not the jesus of the bible of course we have running in uh… richmond virginia Ronnie welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Yes, sir. Good morning. Good morning. How you doing today? Good. I’m We’re a little cool down here 40 because when it’s 50 degrees down here. We put all these big coats and sweaters and Oh, yeah, I can understand that where we got a good one. I believe it is good for you.
Yeah, well past I’m con I’m uh want to want you to see if you can clarify and And could you get that straight for me? I’ll be too. Sure. Let me just kind of give you the order of events as they come down the pike here. The next event is the Rapture. That’s when Christ will come part way to the earth. Shout and up we will go and be transformed in our new bodies on the way up. And that will end this present age, the church age, which began at Pentecost.
Following then will be seven years of tribulation, which are really the last seven years of the Old Testament dispensation of law. And during that time the Antichrist will rise to power. The Jews will be back in the state of Israel, which they are right now. And a temple will be rebuilt, the third temple, and the Antichrist will go into that temple. According to 2 Thessalonians 2, he’ll proclaim to the world that he’s God and demand to be worshiped, and he will be the false Christ.
The end of that seven years Christ comes back in all of his power and all of his glory and defeats the Antichrist and the armies of this world and will set up his kingdom, ruling the earth from Jerusalem and bringing peace on earth good will toward men. And so the earth will really finally enjoy peace and it’s going to be a wonderful time on the planet. And then at the end of that time God will destroy this earth and create a new heavens and new earth and will be into eternity and we as believers will live in the heavenly city, the New Jerusalem which will come down from heaven to the earth and orbit.
I believe probably orbit the New earth is such a big city. Hopefully that helps us a little bit of a quick outline. Yeah, well what about that millennium, that thousand year millennium? Is that after this, for the seven year? Yeah, right. That’s when it commences that the second coming is at the end of the seven years and then he will establish this thousand years. You can read about it in Revelation chapter 20. It mentions six times in that one chapter the length of that period is being one thousand years.
We have a booklet, Ronnie, in our Resource Center here for just six dollars called The Second Coming of Jesus Christ by Clarence Larkin and several neat charts in there that lay it out in a visual way where you can see these things. We have Clint in Memphis, Tennessee and Clint, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Alright, what did you take on Charles Stanley and Jack Bennett? I hung up this. Alright, well I love Charles Stanley, I think he’s wonderful.
And Jack Van Eppie has lately, seemingly embraces everybody. He thinks that the Roman Catholic Church is wonderful and the Pope is the greatest Christian that’s ever walked the earth. And there I would have to disagree with him because if the Pope believes what he teaches or what the Catholic Church teaches, he’s not saved because we’re not saved through the Church, we’re saved through the blood of Christ. So I think Jack Van Eppie has gone off. In fact, he even teaches things like that the animals will be raptured.
I’ve never heard of such a thing in my life, but I got his DVD on it. I think he just manipulates the scripture to come up with that view. But several things I would totally disagree with Jack Goodevey, but I certainly like Charles Stanley. Thank you Clint in Memphis, Tennessee.
