And join us for worship anywhere in the country. Of course, those worship services go into archive and you can catch them anytime, day or night, whenever it pleases you to go there. We do have some wonderful things in our resource center. We do have some tracks that rarely work.

We have a couple of tracks that really are powerful. They really not not only present a clear gospel without works, that salvation is in Christ alone and gives assurance and a little bit about the Christian life. It’s a great, great tract and we hope that you’ll take a look at a sample. We can send you a sample of those tracts and you might want to order some for your evangelism. And also we have the greatest book in all the world on how it will lead souls to Christ called handbook to personal evangelism.

And This book tells you how to open mouth, what to say when mouth is open, and how to close the conversation down and actually leave that person to Christ. And it’s just wonderful. It imagines what you’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, and takes you right through the conversation, helps you with dealing with particular groups like Joe’s Witnesses, Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, evolutionists, atheists, agnostics, and so it’s a dynamic book that will really help you be able to focus in on the particular type of person you’re witnessing to or their belief system and actually lead them to Christ.

So I hope you’ll take advantage of that. Plus we have that Schofield Bible. We’re hearing all the time how difficult it is for you to find them out there because they’re not selling them. But we do have the old Schofield still and you can get it in Softback, Hardback, Leather, Large Print, whatever, but we do have them. And you might want to call and get yourself a Schofield every day. day. I’m pointing out things that are made so clear in the center columns and in the reference notes.

It’s terrific. The Toms and Chain, as far as I’m concerned, the chain is broken. It’s not a consistent chain at all. But in the Scofield, there is a chain. It’s not promoted as a chain Bible, but it really has a wonderful chain where it takes you from the first time a topic is mentioned to every person the Bible where that topic is mentioned and it shows you the last and the first and you can pick up anywhere in between and it is a wonderful wonderful reference Bible.

I can’t say enough about it. I have one in my hands right now as we speak. We’re going to go to the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll go ahead and take our live callers. We have lots of offer questions here So we hope to be able to take these as well. And if you have your Bible handy, you might want to get it out and I hope that you will. You know, in the book of Revelation, we have an amazing passage here that talks about how Israel, the nation of Israel, will have to flee from the Antichrist.

This has never happened where they will cross over into the country of Jordan, where they will be miraculously fed and given water like they once were before in the wilderness, and God will protect them for three and one-half years. They have your Bible, open it to Revelation chapter 12, and here it talks about a woman, And if you read the chapter carefully, the woman turns out to be Israel. And we know it is Israel that brought forth Christ. Jesus was born of the tribe of Judah.

And we find here it says Israel brought forth a man-child, verse 5, who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron. That speaks of the future, rule and reign of Christ, where Christ will rule over the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We find that very description back in the Psalms in the Old Testament where he would rule the earth with a rod of iron. And then it says her child was caught up, or was caught up to God, and to his throne.

That was the first coming of Christ, after he was born, after he grew up, after he went to the cross, after After he died to pay for your sins in mind by his death and shed blood, after he was buried, after he came back again from the dead, after he showed himself alive for forty days, and then after he ascended back up into heaven, he sat upon his throne. That’s all described here in this wonderful verse. But then it leaps two thousand years into the future, and this is still yet to come.

The woman Israel fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days. That is three and a half years. Never before in past history has this happened, but we believe it is future. And that when the rapture happens, the Jews that are in the state of Israel will obviously live their lives peacefully until the middle when the Antichrist will militarily take over the whole Middle East.

And he will take over Israel and he will then turn against the Jewish people and he will try to kill every Jew on the face of the earth. According to the Bible, two-thirds of the Jews in the state of Israel will die. A third of them apparently being believers and reading the instructions in the Bible will flee over into the country of Jordan, which will remain politically neutral during that tribulation period, and there they will be hidden. And we believe the place is the rock city of Petra.

I’ve been there numerous times. It’s called the Rose Red City of Petra. The rocks are just a beautiful rose red color. And you’ll find that there is 40 square miles of city all carved out of the rock. It’s an incredible place to visit. And you don’t. It was just lost to the world for nearly 2,000 years. The trade routes used to go right through there. And obviously when the trade routes changed, this city became lost. It was rediscovered to the world in 1850 by an English archaeologist called Burkhardt.

He risked his life to join Bedouin-Caravans and rediscovered it. and of course, since then it’s become more known. We find that today it is a tourist attraction. There are hotels around there, and I’ve stayed in some of them. They’re beautiful, and Jordan obviously is taking advantage of the tourist aspect of it. But you can only enter this place by a narrow canyon that they call the SIG, S-Z-I-G and this SIG or S-I-G is the only way in and it’s a narrow canyon where the walls are shear and go up about two to three hundred feet and when you look up at the sky it’s just a narrow little blue ribbon that you see as you look up at these beautiful rose red walls of the canyon and all of a sudden you break open into the city after you go down through this winding canyon.

It’s pretty narrow and when you get there, obviously then this city opens up to you. There’s a whole Roman amphitheater there and there are numerous buildings carved right out of the rock and apparently this is where the Jewish people will flee. It says here, the woman was given two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness into her place where she is nourished for a time and times and a half a time from the face of the serpent.

You know, it’s very interesting that that phrase is used back in the book of Daniel and is talking about this very same event. And nobody ever knew what that phrase meant, time, times and half a time. But because in verse 6 here in Revelation chapter 12, it’s made equivalent to 1260 days or 42 months or 3 and a half years, we know exactly today what the meaning of that phrase is. Time is one year, times is two years, one plus two is three, and then a half a time is half a year, so you have one plus two plus a half, which is three and one half years.

For three and a half years, the last three and a half years of the tribulation period, the Jewish people will be hidden from the wrath of the Antichrist. There is a war over control of the atmosphere around the earth in the middle of the tribulation. It tells us that Michael, the archangel, fights against Satan and his angels. Satan loses and he is cast down onto the earth. Right now Satan is told the prince of the power of the air.

He controls the atmosphere around the earth and we find that he is the God of this world but in the tribulation period. Before Jesus comes back for the way to be prepared we find that God sends Michael and his archangels to take away the airspace, the control of it, around the earth. So Satan and his demons are confined to the surface of the earth for the last three and a half years. And it says, therefore, rejoice you heavens in verse 12 of chapter 12 of Revelation.

War or judgment under the earth and to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea, for the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath. And what is so fascinating here in verse 12 of chapter 12 of Revelation is it says, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Satan knows the Bible better than you and me. For sure, he’s had a couple thousand years or six thousand years at least to study it. And you know, he knows that he has a short time.

He has three and a half years left. And so what does he do? He comes after Israel. And when the dragons saw that he was cast down onto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth Jesus. Wow. So Israel is really going to get it. And we see the handwriting on the wall right now. Israel is becoming more hated every day. And Israel is finding yourself in a tighter squeeze in the Middle East every day. We are living in the last days.

And should the rapture happen? Let’s say it happened this year. Let’s say it happened today. In three and a half years, the Antichrist would come after every Jew on the face of the earth and apparently a third of the Jews. We’ll be of the Jews in the state of Israel. We’ll be given two wings as of a great eel that she might fly into the wilderness into her place and there she’s going to be nourished. And that’ll be for three and a half years for a time, and in times and a half of time.

We’re living in exciting days. Very soon Christ will come back. I’ve been to Petra numerous times. And I’ve walked down through that canyon and I’ve also ridden horseback down through that canyon and that’s quite an exciting thing to visit there. One of the Indiana Jones films was filmed there and what is fascinating is that this is of course a place ready to go. Now laying dormant for two thousand years and now all of a sudden rediscovered to the world and is prepared for God to hide the Jews from the Antichrist and feed them and nurse them like he did once before in the wilderness.

I think my friend the words coming as soon, these are real events that have not happened in past history. Nobody can say this was already fulfilled as some teach. This is still future and we are right there on the edge of these things taking place. We believe that Christ’s return is soon. We believe that Antichrist will come and he will come against the Jews. You can see the hatred for Israel building every day it seems in the world. And you see what I ran is doing and how she’s orchestrating the countries over there to come against Israel.

You can see it happening. Syria, Lebanon, Gaza now, the events that are taking place right now are really orchestrated by Iran. And it’s all a part of a desire to destroy the Jewish people and to kill them. We already see Satan’s plan beginning to work out. And we are really, really living close to Christ’s return. I hope you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior. If you haven’t, you shouldn’t wait another minute because, you know, if the Rapture happened, you would be left behind if you’re an unbeliever.

If you are a believer, then you’re going to be raptured out and miss that tribulation. Thank God. And in the great news, but of course, we never know also whenever we might have our life ended. And if you die without Christ, you’ll spend all eternity in hell separated from I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and this is Bibleline and we are going to go to the live callers and also the author callers if you want to call in the number is 1-800-576-3771.

offer and says, can God be tempted? Matthew 4-1 shows the Holy Spirit leading Jesus into the desert to be tempted. In James 1-13 it says, God cannot be tempted with evil. You’re absolutely right and that’s a great question, seeming contradiction I guess, but you see Jesus is the God-man and as a man he was baptized at the Jordan a consecration for his ministry That was performed there at the Jordan just like the Old Testament priest was baptized at the beginning of their ministry full-time full immersion of the priest or one time event so that happened with Christ.

And it wasn’t God who was tempted because God cannot be tempted, but Jesus the man was tempted by the devil and three times he was tempted and each of those times he obviously was successful in not sinning. It says over in Hebrews that he was tempted in all things and yet he was without sin. So So I hope that answers the question, Aaron, God can’t be tempted, but the man Jesus was tempted, and of course we believe in the doctrine of the impeccability of Christ.

What does that mean that Christ was not capable of sinning? But yet he was tempted and he did not sin. And thank God, because if he had become a sinner by sinning, and he could not have been our Savior, and we’d have been in real trouble. We have Marlle in Clearwater. She says, please explain John 1116. And apparently her son William is listening. So let’s answer this question for Marlle and her son William in its John chapter 11. I’m almost there.

And we’ll take a look at this passage. That’s what it says to do with the This is the chapter that talks about the raising of Lazarus from the dead. When we get to chapter 11 verse 16 we find that Jesus here comes to Bethany and Lazarus had been dead for four days. And we find here that it says in verse 14 Jesus said unto them, Plainly, Lazarus is dead. I am glad for your sakes that I was not here to the intent that you may believe.

Nevertheless, let us go unto him. In verse 16 we have the verse where the question is about chapter 11 verse 16. Then Thomas, which is called Vidumus, called unto his apostles or rather under his fellow disciples called unto his fellow disciples and said, Let us go also that we may die with him. I think Thomas there is experiencing depression and sorrow and he was very sad that Lazarus had died and he says, Why don’t we just go die too?

You see that in the Bible. Sometimes you have the Bible very clearly expressing people that are just like at their in when they have a sorrowful event take place. Elijah said he was ready to die. Lord, just take my life. It seemed like Jonah was at that same point in the last book of Jonah where he just was saying, Lord, just take my life. I’m done. And here I think Thomas was ready to just go die when Jesus said, let’s go to the tomb of Lazarus.

But little did they all realize that Jesus would raise him from the dead. And that was of course the crowning miracle that Christ did. And from that point on we find that the religious leaders attempted to kill him and of course the populace recognized that he had to be the Messiah that had been promised in the Old Testament. Thank you for that question. We have now Carl in Tampa, Florida. If you want to call in the numbers 1-800-576-3771, Carl in Tampa, Florida, and he leaves us off for a question.

2 Peter 2, 20, and 21, would you please explain. Second Peter chapter 2, Carl, is all about false teachers. They’re obviously not saved. When you get down to verse 17, it says, These are wells without water. Plows carried with a tempest, to whom is reserved the mist of darkness forever. These are clearly unsaved people. You can begin in verse 1 where it talks about false prophets and false teachers, how we would have to deal with them down through time.

And here it says, they are wells without water. They offer water, but only Christ is the one. If you draw water from His well, then you will never thirst again. In other words, He is talking about Christ is the answer to eternal life. These are false prophets. They have really nothing to offer. They appear to be a well, but they don’t have any water near well. And they are the ones to whom the midst of darkness is reserved for ever.

Notice all the personal pronouns here. It says when they and it goes they they they they they all the way down through these verses here And in verse 20 it says for if after they and so if you circle all these Personal pronouns you find clearly in the context. This is talking about false teachers and it says if after they Have escaped the plutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior. They are again entangled. They’re in and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than at the beginning.

It’s talking here about false teachers and how they do escape some of the moral pollutions of this world through a knowledge about Christ without ever trusting Him as their Savior. I think of the cults. If you think about the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Mormons, some of these people look very wholesome when they come to your door. though Job’s witnesses bring their family members. The witnesses come two by two and they’re all groomed well and they are slicked up and clean and their hair is parted and they look nice and they seem to be such moral and wonderful examples.

Well, they’ve escaped a lot of pollution, but because they haven’t trusted Christ when they die, they’ll be lost and cast into hell forever and ever and ever. Verse 21 says, For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, and that’s the key. The way of righteousness is Christ. And to know the way of righteousness Christ, and yet not trust Him as Savior, means you’ll be damned for eternity. Notice it says here in verse 21, If after they have known the way of righteousness, the turn from the Holy Commandment delivered unto them.

Holy Commandment. The first John 3.23 says this is his commandment that we should believe on his son, Jesus Christ. When you trust Christ, you become saved. And that is the commandment that they turn from. And obviously these people are unsaved. They don’t lose their salvation. They’ve never had it. They are the ones to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever for 17. And they are escaping some moral pollution by a knowledge about Christ. They turn from the way of righteousness which is Christ and they reject the commandment to believe on Christ as Savior and therefore they are eternally lost.

Hope that helps Carl and we have a lot more questions and people trying to get up on the air here with us. We will try to catch all those in just a minute because we are coming up on our break time. Also if you could give a gift for this month of June, it would be so appreciated. Summer months are somewhat lean sometimes as far as giving.

go on vacations and this and the other and they just kind of forget about the ministries that are still going on and we can certainly use your help this month of June. Send a gift by mail or call in and give it by credit card over the phone. If you want to do it by mail just tell our operators to send you an envelope with our address printed on it. They’ll be glad to do that and you can help us this month of June.

We’re going to go to the phone lines here in just a minute. The phone number here is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We have a number of offer questions. I’m going to grab some of these right now and see if we can’t get through some of them. Jim in Pinellas Park calls in and he says, you said the soul is eternal. You mentioned Mark 9. Please explain further about the worm where in Mark 9 three times in a row Jesus said the soul Does not die and the fire will never be quenched well the word worm is used there But the word worm is a reference to the soul Let me give you a cross-referenced Jim you might want to write this one down, but in Job chapter 25 in verse 6 It says how much less?

Yes, man, that is a worm, and the son of man, which is a worm. So here the soul, the man, is described as a worm. And Jesus says that the worm or the soul will not die, and the fire will not be quenched in hell. You don’t want to go to hell. That’s for sure. Jim, I hope that helps. If you’ll cross-reference that Mark 9 passage to Job 25 verse 6, you’ll find the Bible defines the soul of man as a worm.

Okay? And the worm will never die in hell. And the fire will never be quenched. Hell is not metaphorical. It’s real. There’s a real place and you don’t want to go there. Everyone that dies without Christ will spend an eternity in the eternal lake of fire. We just got a call in here, needs help. Pat calls in from somewhere in Florida. She says she and her husband aren’t together and it is their second marriage. She says she needs assurance, reassurance scriptures that says everything is okay.

She wants to know that her witness is not damaged. She says the devil is saying to her she’s not good enough. She says that they both repented of their sins. Please help them to know that they are truly forgiven. Well, you know, once you trust Christ, you are forgiven of all of your sins. The devil, obviously, will try to say to you, no, no, no, no. But the Bible says, yes, yes, yes, yes. Let me give you a wonderful verse, Pat.

If you have trusted Christ as your only hope of heaven, the Bible says in John 637, him the cometh to me, Jesus said, I will in no wise cast out. So God says your Christ says He would never cast you out for any reason. Now I notice you’ve used the phrase repented of your sins. That really is bad theology. The Greek word for repent means to change your mind. The Greek word is metanoia and metamines change, noia means mine.

When you get saved, you change your mind about how sins are paid for. You change your mind about who Jesus Christ is, that he is God, who is wanting to forgive you, and he has already paid your sin dead. And once you trust him, you are saved and it is not based upon your works or your deeds. In John 639 Jesus says, this is the Father’s will which has sent me, that================================ all of which have given me I should lose none, but raise them up again to last day.

So Jesus said he would never lose you. Once you get saved Pat, you’re saved forever and you can be assured of that. Also let me point out to you, in John 647, Christ said, barely, barely, I say unto you, he that believe it. That word means to trust. When you trust Jesus Christ, that’s your only means of salvation. By his death and shed blood he paid your sin dead and full. God saves you. And at that moment you receive everlasting life.

It says there in that verse, he either believe it or not me has, has, that’s present tense. You presently possess it the moment you believe it forever the rafter eternal life once you trust Christ as your savior. I certainly hope that you would just read those verses. That’s John 647, John 630 37 and John 639 and Jesus also said Pat in Hebrews 13 5 I will never leave you and I’ll never forsake you. That’s got to be good news.

Alright Pat I hope that helps and we’ll be praying for you. We have Rocky in Tampa Florida. Rocky welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hello Dr. Hank. Yes sir. I have a question for you. When the Jews are hidden away backwards and forward, I don’t understand why they’re hidden from who. The Antichrist already knew they were there. Well, absolutely right. What happens is that Jordan remains politically neutral. When you read Daniel 11, it tells us in the middle of the tribulation period that Antichrist will come against the Middle East and he’ll overthrow those many countries there in the Middle East.

But it says even these shall escape out of his hand. Moab and Edom and the children of Amman. That is modern day Jordan. So apparently he will not be able to take his armies into Jordan. They are politically neutral in the Tribulation period. And I believe God has already planned that out so that he will not have access to those Jews. But he’s going to kill a lot of them. Two thirds of the Jews in the state of Israel and nine tenths of the Jews around the world will be killed by the Antichrist.

So he knows where they are, but he will not be able to get to them. In a sense, the earth will have swallowed them up and he will not have access to them. So I think that’s the answer. Read Daniel 11 in particular, verse 36 right to the end where it says that he will not have control over the country of Jordan during the tribulation period and therefore that’s the safe place that God has provided for them to flee to.

Hope that helps, Rocky. Alright, thank you. Alright, that was Rocky, calling in. Good question. We have now John in Memphis, Tennessee. John, welcome to Bibleline. How are you doing? Good. Alright. I’d like to ask a marital question? Sure. Okay. Now I’d like to get a good comment on this. Okay. If a person’s blind and you communicating, you know, you don’t get a round of mine because I haven’t had my skills sharpened on just getting out and today’s work here in Tennessee played this much.

Okay. I’m I communicate to people on the phone, male and female. Is it disrespectful or married? That I have people and come and say, this is like my world. And so, is that disrespectful? That I have a female person that you talk to on the phone, just friends, just, hey, how’s the weather up there, anybody or whatever, just people I know? Is that disrespectful to that wife? I don’t think so, but I think you ought to have a good good friend discussion with your wife about it that’s troubling her maybe either that explain that there are what’s happening there that uh…

you just joined people and there’s nothing beyond that and i think that uh… your blind and uh… obviously i would be the house you never leave out so you’re not going on with anybody got to get put somebody to be in other way you got that right so i think that but you see that you would say that that this was better for you know you talk to another woman I’ll tear you. I don’t care if it’s not your mama.

I got you. Well, she’s a little bit jealous apparently. So I’d reassure her of your love and then I think you’ll be fine. Yeah, I’ve done that. But she just get uncomfortable at the fact that the woman calling, Hey, that’s me to John. Yeah, just a friend, you know, because, you know, I don’t leave the house. So, you know, the enemy is always trying to get his tooth any in, and he’ll continue to work way out of relationship. That’s right.

We’ll be praying for you, Tom. That’s a tough problem. Yeah. Oh, okay. All right. Now, you take care. That was John in Memphis, Tennessee. We have Vinny in Hudson, Florida. Vinny, welcome to the Bible on Your Honor Year. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. I was reading the Old Testament last night and I came across a passage Concerning Jacob had a visit from the captain of the host before a battle Yes, and I saw that he fell down and worshiped and I take it that that was an incarnate of Christ Yes, he wasn’t rebuked for doing that.

Exactly. Oh, okay that was kind of fascinating interesting little story there you’re right on and and the scope has some wonderful notes about those pre-incarnated appearances of Christ the Old Testament and you might want to follow the notes in your skill field by a blow on it. I will do that and I just want to let you know I’m embarking on a new adventure out to California as working for Department of Homeland Security now. So alright. Lord willing, he’s put me in this position and I’m thankful for that and it’s going to be a new adventure so yeah well keep listening out there on the internet and give us a call you do that you have a great day all right many thanks a lot for your call out there you’ll be out there in California Jean and Odessa Florida calls in with his offer questions he says please explain the

doctrine of the Seventh-day Adventist well they focus on Saturday worship and and the commandment to worship and observe the Sabbath. But obviously they are works oriented for salvation and they are basically I believe a cult. They have another set of writings that they consider superior to the Bible. The writings of LNG White. So if you are seven-day Adventists you’ll never come of the false teachings of that cult because the seven Adventist is reading the Bible through the lenses of LNG white as they read her books and they use them to interpret the Bible.

They do not believe in a hell. They do not believe in salvation by faith. They talk about grace, but they don’t really mean grace. It’s a sleight of hand. They tell us that back in 18, I forget the year 44 or something, that Jesus, instead of coming all the way to the earth, came into the holy of holies in heaven and there began what they called the investigative judgment. The investigative judgment basically is a judgment of your works and my works to determine whether we’re worthy of receiving grace.

So they really make grace a work. And that is obviously a very serious false teaching. We’re saved by grace and the Adventists will talk about grace, but really their grace is not grace because the biblical definition of grace is the absence of any works or merit on our part. And the seven day Adventists talk about grace and yet they really take it away from you by saying that Christ will evaluate your works and determine whether you’re worthy to receive that grace.

The Roman Catholic Church does a similar thing. They talk about grace a lot. And yet they say you receive grace by keeping the sacraments. That means grace is by works. Whereas the Bible says that grace and works are opposites. In Romans 11-6 it says, If by grace, then it is no more of work, otherwise grace is not grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. So if it’s of works, either by the succaments or by getting approval at the investigative judgment, then you will have no grace.

Because if it’s of works, it’s not of grace at all. Romans 11-6. The Seventh-day Adventist are off. They actually also teach that Satan is the ultimate sin-bearer, not Christ. That’s a terrible doctrine. And numerous other false teachings that are still believed by the Seventh-day Adventist would not attend if I were you. And I would certainly steer clear on them. It says here in Paul, a rather in St. Petersburg, Paul calls in and he says, you mentioned the Roman Catholic Church.

Do they get anything right? Communion, baptism, etc. Please explain these. Well they don’t get a whole lot right. The Roman Catholic Church teaches communion, yes, but they call it the Mass, which they say is the sacrifice of Christ again to pay for sin every time they offered up. is a blasphemy I believe against Christ, because Christ, according to the Bible, died once. That one time sacrifice was sufficient to pay for all sins. The Roman Catholic Church apparently disagrees, and they believe you have to have the mass, which is the sacrifice of Christ again and again and again.

Baptism, they teach that by baptism you are placed into Christ’s body, and they are talking about water. It is certainly false and they teach infant baptism, which there’s nothing in the Bible to support infant baptism. The Bible teaches water baptism for those of age where they’ve come to know Christ and want to give testimony to their faith by water. Water doesn’t wash away our sin. It is the blood of Christ that does that. We have Troy in the land, Florida.

Troy, Troy wasn’t the Bibleline. Dr. Hank, the woman at the wall that was married five times and learning what the sixth man was she saved? She got saved. If you read the chapter… In verse 28 29 she accepts Christ as her Messiah She drops her water pot runs back into the city and tells all the men of the city come out and see a man That told me all that ever I did is not this the Christ and many came out and got saved because of her testimony And many got saved by hearing Jesus himself.

So she became saved at that event And one more question, Dr. Hank, on Ephesians chapter 2, and you were kind of explaining that to the lady about the Seventh-day Adventist. But I’ll just go a quick question. Is that chapter referring to the fact that we actually are sitting with Christ in heaven or being a man? Sure, it says in verse six is what you’re referring to there that we have been raised up together with Christ and Seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

So as far as God is concerned We’re right now in heaven already seated there as a believer verse 20 tells us that we are right now citizens of heaven and that we’re fellow citizens with the saints in heaven already, so you don’t have to Wait to get to heaven to find out that you’re going there the Bible says we’re right now positionally already seated there and already citizens of heaven Well, thank you, Dr. Hank. That’s powerful. And I just want to…

I’m just so glad to hear that. I mean, it just helps with my walk with Christ. And it just gives me power to just continue the race. Thank you, Dr. Hank. You’re a very welcome Troy. Thank you for tuning in today in the land Florida. We now have David in Clearwater, Florida. And David, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Yes, so just go in response to your… I’m not so honest about the Seventh-day Adventist. I am a Seventh-day Adventist.

I grew up in the church. I think a lot of things that are said, I think, need to go in and really look at the doctrines and teachings. I mean, there are people that do focus more on the works, but that’s not the true teachings of the church. That’s people that have gotten away from it. The truth of what the Adventists believe. Do you all believe in the investigative judgment? Do they believe in the judge? Yeah. Yes, that is one of the teachings and that goes back into the whole Jewish system where system where there is, in the early, in the springtime there is the Passover in those streets and in the fall there is the day of atonement which shows us the timing of God’s plan of salvation, the spring.

the spring peace point to Christ’s first coming and the fall he teaches about his second coming and so that warning, there is a warning time the peace of trumpets gives us the warning of that judgment which is the time we’re in right now but if you go into Daniel in the prophecy that talks about the 2300 days or 2300 year of prophecy right there out of the scripture that’s not in the founding days of the church they misunderstood what’s that can come into Christ but well they yeah they said a date for the return of Christ and he didn’t come and so they rather admit that they were totally wrong period they invented this doctor know the investigative judgment there’s nothing in the Bible to suggest any such judgment at all that is just a totally man-made teaching and make salvation by works because you you don’t get into heaven

David unless the investigative judgment comes out in your favor so you get into you get into heaven by by what you believe it’s yeah but it doesn’t count for you unless you pass the test that the investigative judgment. Your works are being examined according to the church of the seven Adventists. Unless you get that not okay, you did enough good works, you don’t get that grace, you don’t get that salvation. No, because if you if you love me, you’ll keep my commandments, right?

I’ll save you. He says if you love me, you’ll keep my command. Well, as a believer we ought to, but let me ask you this, do the seven Adventists teach you can lose your salvation. Do they teach you can lose it? No, you cannot lose it. But if you choose not to go against it, then you can sacrifice it. You can give it back to Christ because it’s a gift. And if you take a gift and give it back to someone, it was a gift or you received it.

But if you choose not to keep that gift, they don’t force you to keep it. If you take the gift and you go back against it and then you have sin in your life and you don’t want it forgiven, then you go against the doctor that these things work so that which sins will not be. So if you go on sinning after you’ve given your life to God, then you go against what he’s teaching. David, that’s works. You see, you’re telling me that what you do or what you do not do determines your salvation.

a false message. The true message always points the center back to the cross where Christ said it’s done, is paid for, it’s finished. And you’re trying to tell me that what you do in your future, good or bad, will determine whether you make heaven that makes you the Savior, makes salvation by works. And there is no sevete Adventist that can look me in the eye and say they know they have eternal life right now. Because they can’t know that their sins are blotted out until after they die, and after they have been evaluated that the investigative judgment so uh…

there is no because you can know that you have a lot of you can be hard to go out and not That works out. You haven’t again said that you have806ed that you have to do with living for Christ here in this life in order to get you there. David, thanks for the call. I’m out of time because I’d love to continue this with you. But this is all really ultimately talking about what they do in their future to determine whether they make heaven or not.

So also we want you to know that we can send you a resource sheet that will show you some of the great things that we have in our resource center. We do have the Jay Burnham McGee commentary which I love so much. It’s a five volume set. If you go out to the bookstore, it retails for $200. We have it for a gift of $100 to buy the line. Would you consider calling in and getting that set as a gift for someone else or as a part of your Christian library?

will help you. He gives you really a great explanation for each chapter of the Bible. This is a five-volume set. It’s wonderful to bound and it would be a beautiful edition. If you don’t have a Stofield Bible, let me encourage you to get one. Pay hard, wonderful. The notes in there are just absolutely incredible to help you understand the doctrines of the Bible. I don’t know of a better reference Bible than the Scofield. I have all kinds of reference, Bibles in front of me.

I just haven’t found a better one. It came out in the first edition in 1909. I recommend the Old Love the New, the 1909 and 1917 editions are the ones that you want to have, but most bookstores are not selling those. We have trouble even getting the older ones, but we still have them. I wouldn’t count on the fact that you’ll have them too much more in the future. It seems like it’s harder every day to get them. I keep that in mind.
