Give him a call and tell him Monday morning at 10, listen all week long at 10 o’clock in the morning on WYMM 1530 on the AM dial. We’re going to look at the Bible today and then we’re going to go of course to the scriptures and we believe of course that the scriptures today are being fulfilled before our very eyes.

Israel now has an Islamic state right on their border. Isn’t that amazing? It’s just amazing that this has taken place. I believe that Israel made a mistake in giving up Gaza. And then allowing Hamas to be a viable political party. Of course, the United States forced that. I think Condoleezza Rice told Israel you’re going to have to let Hamas run for the elections and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and forced it. And sure enough, they were elected as a political power in Gaza and now I’ve taken over.

And we are really seeing Israel putting in the squeeze. You know, Micah, the prophet foretold this along with the other major and minor prophets long ago in the Old Testament. It’s almost like I’m reading the newspaper, but really the Bible is tomorrow’s news today. I’m reading it in advance of its happening by reading my Bible. Isn’t that amazing that the Bible is such a book that you can pick it up and actually read the news in advance? of what happens.

But here is what it says in Micah chapter 4 in verse 11. It says, now many nations are gathered against the. Let Israel be defiled and let our eye be upon Jerusalem. Well that is exactly what we are seeing. And obviously this leader of Iran is orchestrating the Hezbollah, the Hamas and the Al-Qaeda. And they are obviously working together with Syria, with the Hezbollah in Lebanon, and now with the Hamas in Gaza. And all of this is a planned event as they want to take care of Israel.

That is, they want to destroy Israel and look at this verse again in Micah chapter 4 in verse 11. Now also many nations are gathered against the, that’s against Israel, that say, let her be defiled and let our eye look upon Zion or Jerusalem. And I love verse 12 because how true this is. It says, but they know not the thoughts of the war. They either understand their His counsel, for He shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

In other words, God is going to bring judgment upon the Muslim nations. There are 22 countries that are Israel’s neighbors that hate her. And God of course has got a plan for Israel. And He’s going to make Israel the head nation. Look if you will. And this is talking about the latter days. It hasn’t happened yet. Verse 1 says, In the latter days, or in the last days, it shall come to pass, that the Lord is going to establish Jerusalem as the world’s capital, and people from all over the world will flow into Jerusalem.

Verse 2 says, Many nations shall come and say, Let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob. That’s the temple that will be rebuilt, and he will teach us of his ways, and will walk in his past, for the law should go forth out of Jerusalem and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Well, that hasn’t happened yet, but yet that is feature, and it’s going to happen. And it says in verse 6, in that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted.

That’s talking about Israel, that God is going to gather Israel and bring her back into her land. are seeing that portion of the prophecy fulfilled. And I’ll make her that Halta, verse 7, a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation. And the Lord shall reign over them in Jerusalem from henceforth, even forever.” Wow, that seems pretty plain. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. God is going to bring this nation that has been hindered and halted and has been dispersed.

Bring them back into their land. We believe that that has already been occurring over the past 100 years. Israel became a nation in 1948 and regained Jerusalem in 1967. And now we find these enemies of Israel are saying, let her be destroyed. Verse 11 says, now also many nations are gathered together against me. Let Israel be defiled or destroyed and let our eye be upon Jerusalem, they want Jerusalem as their city, their capital. And we find it says they know not the thoughts of the Lord verse 12.

Neither understand they his counsel, for he shall gather them as the sheaves. The Lord is going to judge all the nations around Israel and obviously they will pay a great price for what they have done to Israel. Israel is through these experiences going to come to know her Messiah. It’s interesting that Jesus is introduced in chapter 5 where it says in verse 2, but now Bethlehem, Africa, though there will be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of these shall come forth unto me.

unto me the one that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from a hold from everlasting. That’s talking about the birth of Christ in Bethlehem two thousand years ago. And that this one that was born in Bethlehem, although rejected at the first coming, would come back at the second coming to rule and reign over Israel and deliver Israel from her enemies. And we find here it says in verse 5 that this man, Jesus, the one born in Bethlehem shall be the peace.

He is going to ultimately bring peace in the Middle East that we do not have right now. Obviously, it’s a mess over there right now. And obviously, Israel is going to go through some darker hours in the future. And it seems like that everybody’s making bad decisions and this really I think could have been inverted or at least delayed, but definitely Iran is behind all of this. Just a week ago, a busy job said that the war on Israel has begun and he said it would begin in Lebanon and in Gaza.

Boy, how quickly that has come to pass. Of course, we have Hezbollah under the direction of Iran in Lebanon and now Hamas under the direction of Iran in Gaza. And those terrorist groups are directly funded by and supplied by Iran. We are living in the last days. And these prophecies are quite specific. And there’s a great day coming. But before that, Millennial Kingdom begins. We find that Israel will go through dark hours, but Christ will come back and defend them and deliver them.

And they will be, of course, this powerful nation, this strong nation that God says that they will be bearing the Millennium, the head nation on the earth. Have you trusted Christ as your Savior? These are the days to do it. You know, the Rapture could happen very, very soon. And if you’re an unbeliever, you’ll be left behind for the darkest hours of history, and it won’t be a fun time to be living, and you can see the handwriting on the wall right now.

Also, you don’t know when you’re going to die, and if you die without Christ, you’ll be separated from God forever and ever and ever in the eternal lake of fire. While it is a terrible thing to think about, the Bible tells us in Mark chapter 9, 3 times that the fire in hell will never be quenched. And the soul cast in hell will never die. Can you imagine people being cast in hell and they will never die, they will be alive forever and ever and ever and the fire will never be quenched.

The Bible talks about weeping and gnashing of teeth in this horrible place. While I am so concerned about people that don’t know the Lord and I hope those listening today that don’t know Christ would right now just say Lord I am a sinner we all are but right now I place my trust in Jesus Christ as the one who paid for all of my sins on the cross of Calvary was buried and rose again from the dead. The moment you trust him, God saves you.

And you know that is the best news you’re ever going to hear. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that Jesus Christ, that whosoever believeth in him, that his puts their trust in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. That’s John 3 16. And that’s such a beloved verse by Christians. And no wonder it is, because it says it so plainly that salvation is the result of God’s love offered free as a gift to all that would believe or trust on Christ, and that you can be saved.

And receive that eternal life. At the moment you believe it says you’ll not perish, but H-A-V-E have present tense, possessed everlasting life. I hope you’ve done that. I really do. I pray that you’ve done that because your whole eternity is at stake and if you die without Christ the Bible says you’ll We have lots of all fair questions and we certainly want to take our live callers. The phone number is if you want to dial in right now and get up on the air with us is 1-800-576-3771.

1-800-576-3771 and we have George in Palm Harbor, Florida and George, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Air. Hey, good morning. You’re on the air. Yeah, two-part… I got two things. The other day you had some scripture reference for where you directly go to heaven. A second credit is five-eight, absent from the body, present with the world. Is that what you’re talking about? Yeah, well, I… there was a guy that I said that and he didn’t really think that actually meant it.

I think you had a couple that pretty much explained once you die, you go to heaven? Well, yeah, it says in Philippians 3 20, it says, let me just turn there and read this verse. It’s a great one in the book of Philippians chapter 3 and its first 20 for our conversation. Actually, in the margin, if you have a scofial point on that word, means citizenship. Our citizenship is in heaven from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body that it might be fashioned like unto his glorious body.

So we find that we’re looking to heaven where we have our citizenship and there we look for Christ to come back for us and will be transformed from this vile body that we’re in into his glorious body at the moment we believe. And that was Philippians 3, 20 and 21, 20 and 21. In Philippians chapter 1 Paul talks about he had a desire to depart from this world and to be present with Christ. He says in verse 23 as he thought about death coming down the line.

He says I am in a straight between two having a desire to depart and to be with Christ which is far better. And that was Philippians 1, 23? That’s correct. Okay, also just a little confused when you always say it and that you know if you haven’t done it, give your life to Christ and so far. Free will, but doesn’t it also say that you can’t come to the Father unless you’re called? Okay, let me explain that. First of all, you don’t give your life to Christ to be saved, you trust Christ.

And I would never say the other because that’s works. To give your life to Christ or to give your heart to Christ is the opposite of the Bible plan of salvation because that makes us the giver and God the receiver whereas the Bible says that God so loved the world he gave his son and that the gift of God is God’s gift to us when we believe or trust on Christ we receive that gift by faith alone and Christ alone.

What you’re referring to is probably John 644 where it says no man can come unto the Father except the Father draw him. Right. And that is true. But what people don’t tell you is that he draws everybody. If you read John chapter 12 in verse 33 32 rather Jesus said and I if I be lifted up from the earth he’s talking about the crucifixion will draw all Al men unto me. So Christ draws everybody. So they don’t tell you the whole story there They need to read their Bible.

They apparently quit reading in chapter 6 of John. Don’t read in chapter 12 Do you believe there’s a free will though? I guess well I want to this free will thing, but we do have a choice. It’s not free because The choices are limited. We can choose to trust Christ, but then it becomes irreversible. It’s just like You know if you somehow Slam your fist into the wall You do damage to the wall and probably do damage to your hand and we can’t reverse that.

So when you do some action, it has consequences which carry on for a long time in the future. This happens to be eternal consequences. When you believe on Christ, you receive eternal life and the Holy Spirit comes into and dwell you forever. Christ dwells in you forever. In Christ’s Senate, Hebrews 13.5, I will never leave you. So if you wound up in hell Christ would have to go to hell not gonna happen Christ said I will never leave you nor will I ever forsake you Hebrews 13 5 so once you trust Christ You’re stuck.

It doesn’t why do you think there’s people out there that just absolutely to the said you picked before the foundation of the earth These people already know he already knows that they’re not gonna accept and well, that’s true But he knows it but he doesn’t make your choice for you if you read Second Thessalonians 2, 13 and again people don’t read the Bible very carefully. It says here in Second Thessalonians 2, 13 that In the moment there it says, but we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, be loved of the Lord because God had from the beginning chosen you to salvation.

Most people stop right there. They don’t finish the rest of the verse, but the rest of the verse says, through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. So God’s part is that He will cleanse us and make us pure and holy through the Holy Spirit, and our part is to believe the truth. So God is chosen on that basis. Unless you believe the truth, you will not be chosen. So God from the beginning of the world chose to save all that would believe.

And so you have a choice that if you don’t make that choice, you will wind up in hell. Right. And just some people, I guess you just don’t get, it doesn’t get, it just go to hell. It sounds kind of fat. Well, it does. And that’s why I plead with people to trust the Lord or Savior. You don’t want to miss this wonderful offering. God throughout your life is working with you and everyone dealing with them about their need of trusting Christ.

He seeks the laws. If we respond and come to know Christ, then we’re going to be saved. If we keep saying no and turning our head to God’s working in our life to try to bring us to Christ, and we’ll perish. I guess it just seemed to me that I really didn’t have a choice. I was kind of drawn and there was no turning back. And I mean they have all to call them. People go up and say, yeah, I do and say all the lip service and just never really honestly do it.

So I guess… Well, that’s true. But you know, you don’t have to walk an aisle and you don’t have to be in church to trust Christ. I was in a home in Miami, Florida at a youth Bible study that my sister brought me to. I trusted Christ there sitting on the floor in the back of the room. You could be anywhere. Do you think you had a choice not to at the time though? Oh absolutely. But I said, God, I’ll take you up on your free gift.

And I’m not stupid. And I trusted Christ. And I walked out of that meeting that night knowing unless God was a liar and the Bible is absolutely not true. I knew I had eternal life. Yeah, but you know what, such a transform. you transform some of them i mean i would like forty eight and i can’t help but believe that i should have done it twenty years ago but it just didn’t seem to be the time for well i feel the same way you know i i would have gotten saved i think it five or six or or i remember as a little boy being very curious about eternity and about eternal life but i never got any answers in my church i ask questions all the time i finally quit asking questions because i realized i was bothering these adults They said he’s a little pest, he keeps asking questions, so

I just quit. And then finally the Lord brought me to the truth and I am so glad that I heard it and I certainly was not going to turn down a free gift to go to heaven when the alternative was hell. I was smart enough to realize this is a no-brainer. I want to receive that free gift. I guess maybe it all boils down to there’s a time and a place age and time that you honestly do this thing.

Well, I think sometimes we’re not paying attention or not ready at certain times in our life or that the message is just not there in your presence, but God works it out so that he promises in fact in the book of Job it’ll keep you alive if you’re searching until you do hear it. Oh, you keep you alive. Yeah. Oh, really? Yeah. And that’s Genesis 11? No, it’s Job, chapter 33. chapter. It says, you know, keep you from disease and even being killed in war.

And now that’s 33. That chapter, I forget the exact verses, but beginning about verse 20 something to the end of the chapter. And the first in the, it’s Job chapter 33, beginning verse 20 or so right on through the end of the chapter. And it talks about that God He will send a messenger and he will tell you about God’s righteousness and how he would be gracious and save you from going to hell. It’s great and how you live forever and get a new body in heaven and your skin would be fresher than a baby.

It’s a beautiful chapter. Okay, well thank you. I’m sure you got more calls. I appreciate it and you have a nice weekend. All right, same to you. Bye-bye. That was George in Palm Harbor, Florida. We have Stephen in Clearwater and we’re coming up on break Stephen. What is your question? Okay, I’ll show them, but Dr. Hank, I’ll give them a few. Your phone call is breaking up. You must be on a cell phone. It’s just terrible. We’ll have to ask you to call back and maybe we get a better line.

You might as well wait a few minutes because we’re coming up on our break. And obviously saying, Shalom, I’m assuming Stephen is a Jewish believer. And certainly we need to pray for Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And I think when we do that, we’re really praying for Jesus to come back because He is the peace as we just read in Malachi 5 verse 5 a moment ago. He is the peace. When these troublesome times will come, Jesus is the one who will come back and live in Jerusalem as King over Israel for a thousand year earthly reign, which we believe is literal.

We believe we are coming up very close on when this will all take place. I am Dr. Hank Lindstrom. If you haven’t trusted Christ, do it right now. Just tell the Lord I am a sinner, but I trust Jesus right now to save me. He is my only hope of heaven and God will save you when you trust him that his death and shed blood paid your sin debt and full. If you haven’t helped us by blind lately pray for us and if you could give a gift this month of June call in and give it by credit card or get an envelope mailed to you with the address and mail it.

We’re open until about 4.30 every afternoon. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Jim out in Los Angeles, California, and Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I got a question for you on the 20, just coming to the, I believe it’s the 24th, there is a movie, Cumbre Don, it’s about what happened in 1857 with the LDS people with a massacre.

And I was wondering if you could shed some light, are LDS people Christians? Not at all, not even close. You’re talking about the Mormons, which are the church of the Latter-day Saints, and there was that mountain-medo massacre with Brigham Young where they killed a lot of innocent people, and that was one of the dark hours in the history of Mormonism. And that’s interesting that this movie is coming out to expose that event. Mormons have a book that contradicts the Bible.

The Book of Mormon really is a religious fiction that was written back in the times of Joseph Smith. It is believed that he bought this book from the author and then palm it off as an addition to the Bible. But Joseph Smith never had it right, they don’t believe in hell, they believe in salvation by works and water baptism and many, many strange doctrines including the fact that they’ve all migrated here from the planet Cola and that Jesus was chosen as the Adam God to produce bodies for these disembodied spirits to dwell in and so every Mormon is a spirit that has come here from the planet cola and finds a human body to end well all because of the Adam God Jesus and that every one of us are gods, little gods, and that we can all ascend by our works to become greater even than

Jesus. It’s a crazy mixed up religious belief system, but it’s totally false. They’re not truly real Christians. Not even close. They’re aliens by their own admission. They came from the planet Cola. They’re what now? They’re aliens. They’re aliens. The Mormon belief is that they came here. They migrated here from the planet Cola. We’re talking about outer space here. They’re ETs. Extra-trestral beings. Oh my goodness. Yeah. Okay. Well, thank you, sir. I appreciate it. All right. You’re sure welcome. And that was Jim out in Los Angeles, California.

We have an anonymous caller from Richmond, Virginia. Anonymous in Richmond. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air You’re on the air in Richmond, Virginia Rick Monday, Virginia, that’s where you’re calling from right? Yeah, you have a question. You’re on the air. Oh Yeah What I was calling for, you were saying that the Bible said that I’ll never leave you near where I forsake you. But sometimes we leave him. We do things that is displeased in his sight. Are we supposed to go to him and ask for forgiveness and repent of the things that we did wrong?

As a believer, we are safe forever and he will never leave us. But definitely you say we can kind of leave him. But that doesn’t cause us to lose our salvation. But certainly it breaks our intimacy, our walk, our fellowship with the Lord. And that’s restored by confession. 1 John 1.9 says, if we Christians confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That’s talking about our daily walk.

And certainly as a believer, we ought to do that daily. We ought to examine our lives and say, Lord, I have sinned and the Lord will restore your fellowship. But you are safe forever. Apparently we lost that call, but salvation is a gift. Cannot be lost. Christ will not cast us out nor loses. He’ll never leave us nor forsake us. But we can get ourselves in a bind where God will chase in us or discipline us and we can suffer loss of reward if we are not faithful.

We now have Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida on the line and Benjamin welcome to the Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. Hank. I have a little bit of a problem to understand what a relation 13, 15 will say the image, can you explain that to me please? I believe that the image will be somewhat of a robotized computerized image, a likeness of the Antichrist. It could also be a hologram, which will be a three-dimensional image projected of him for people to see.

In any case, it really will have the appearance of life and will actually be a replica of the Antichrist and will announce his orders to execute people and kill them and so on those that are not on his team. So this will be quite a powerful image and I think it will be seen on television around the world. It will give the Antichrist the appearance of being omniscient and omnipresent and just able to do and accomplish incredible things 24 hours a day.

So I hope that helps answer the question. It will not be a real person that is given life. Thank you for calling. And now we have some offer questions. We’re going to try to tackle it this time. And we have reach out in California calling in. He says, tell me what you think of the book, The Spirit of the Church. And basically from what I’ve been reading, this is really way out stuff and I would leave it alone. I looked on the internet a little bit about this book and definitely the Bible is the book you need to be reading.

And if you go to the Bible then you’ll find out that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit that dwells within each and every one of us as believers and places us into the body of Christ which is the church. But this book is talking about something far, far from that. So I would reject that. But thanks for listening out there in California. That’s two calls in a row from California. We have Kathy in Valrico. First Kings 15-7 says it repeats it in verse 23.

And that is not unusual for a thought to be expressed twice. But then it says, how is it that Chronicles is mentioned? And of course, Chronicles and Kings kind of parallel each other, so that’s not unusual either as the Bible sometimes references itself. And so that is not unusual at all to find the Bible mentioning other portions of the Bible. You know, Daniel talks about in chapter 9 reading from the Prophet Jeremiah. So here is a prophet studying what another prophet has written.

That’s also very, very interesting. We have Joyce in Utica in New York. She says, do you know where it is that they say the birds are killing the cows? Is not that during the tribulation. If you’re looking in the Bible, it talks about the supper of the great God where the The birds of prey will come down and eat the dead bodies of those that are slain at Armageddon. Maybe that’s what you’re referring to. And that… You’ll find in chapter 19 of the book of Revelation that says you’re a herd an angel or a sawn angel, stand in the sun and he cried with a loud voice saying to all the fouls that fly, there’s the birds you’re talking about in the midst of heaven, come and gather yourselves together under the supper of the great God.

And here’s what you’re probably talking about that you may eat. Here’s what the menu has that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of the heavens. of mighty men, the flesh of horses, and those that sit upon them, and so on and so on. So at Armageddon the slain will be great worldwide, and the animals of prey and birds of prey will be eating those dead bodies. Joyce, I hope that’s the answer to the question that you’re asking, and thanks for calling in from Utica, New York.

David in St. Petersburg calls in, says, aren’t we to look for the baptism of fire? And the answer is no. David the baptism of fire is to be cast into hell. If you read Matthew chapter 3 in verse 12, it talks about the baptism of fire as being that where unbelievers are cast into a furnace of fire and that furnace of fire is hell. So if you are attending a church that talks about receiving the baptism of fire, you’re in the wrong church.

really are. And maybe they offer that to people because if their gospel is not clear, the people in that congregation will experience hell, which is the baptism of fire. If you’re a believer, you are baptized with the Holy Spirit, which is the placing of the believer into the body of Christ. And that’s the baptism that we need and every believer has it. At the moment you trust Christ, it’s an automatic thing that happens. The Holy Spirit places you into Christ’s body.

That’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, David. And Tim in Tampa calls in, says, Is it true that God made a promise with Abraham and is the same promise to the Islamic people? Well, yes and no. As far as salvation, God has offered salvation to all that would believe in Christ as Abraham did. Now of course the Islamic people for the most part reject Christ, the Quran says that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God and he is not the Savior and did not die at the cross of Calvary was not raised from the dead.

So they attack the very message that brings salvation that the promise to Abraham was all about. So obviously, Tim, they have not responded to that promise. But also as a people that would inherit the land in the Middle East and have a kingdom living together under Christ’s rule as the head kingdom on the earth that was not given to Islam. It was given to Abraham’s descendants, through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We have Jeff in New Hampshire calling in with a question.

Jeff, thank you for calling in. We’re glad you’re listening up there in New Hampshire. How will cremation affect our resurrection? Well, it won’t. Our resurrection is not dependent upon that. And some people are cremated without their consent. Some are cremated by fire. You know those that were in the twin towers in 9-11, many of them were burned to death. They hadn’t planned on being cremated, but they were whether they liked it or not. But if they were believers, my friend, they’re in heaven and they’re going to get a brand new body.

It does not affect your salvation at all. So Jeff, if you’re concerned about whether it would affect your salvation, you don’t have to worry. But boy, you wouldn’t want to be caught in a fire, would you? If it would affect your salvation, if you were in a house that was on fire, you would go to hell if it affected your salvation. But of course it doesn’t. God can put together whatever molecules or atoms that were a part of your body if he needs them.

And that’s not a worry for you and me. And he can do anything and certainly it does not affect our salvation. We have Floyd in Petersburg, Virginia. He says, please explain the first Timothy 3, 12, a deacon, a wife, one at a time. Well, I don’t believe it’s one at a time, but that’s what’s happening today. It’s so hard to find men that have not been divorced that churches are bending the rules and say, well, as long as you’re married to one wife right now.

You don’t have two, you would qualify. But I don’t think that that is what it’s talking about. I believe it’s talking about not getting remarried at all. Unless, of course, your wife has died and you then are free to remarry. But otherwise, a divorced man, I don’t believe, should be a deacon or an elder. And that’s why it’s a difficulty today in many churches defining people like that, because the divorce rate, first time marriages is well over 50% now.

Isn’t that amazing? Most marriages have less than a 50% chance of survival. And so therefore it’s difficult to find people today that are still married. And so interesting, interesting, and I don’t believe it means one wife at a time at all. We have Robert in Bradenton, Florida. He says fasting should be still be fasting. Well, guess what? We all fast, whether we like it or not. And you just have to know what fasting is and then ask yourself, should you be fasting?

Well, did you know that when you go to sleep at night, you wake up in the morning, what What do you call the first meal of the day? It’s called Break Fast or Breakfast. That’s what it’s called because you have fasted throughout the whole night. So obviously everybody goes to bed at night and then when they have their breakfast in the morning they’ve broken the fast and are eating again. I before I ever knew of a spiritual significance at the University of Florida as a student realized that if I was going to take an exam that I should not eat before that exam or my mind would be dull and I would get sleepy and I’d have difficulty making a good grade on that exam.

So I always ate at least two or three hours before an exam. And you know, I have found also when I preach or teach, I try not to eat right before I speak. I usually like to eat breakfast several hours before I preach. I usually have my evening meal after the evening service because I don’t want to dull my mind for a spiritual event. So we do still fast and maybe you haven’t been consciously aware of it. But to fast for other people to know about it or for show is wrong.

This says when you fast, don’t give the appearance that you are fasting or let people know because it is really not about that. But in any case spiritually, your mind is sharper. So when you study the Bible, you don’t want to do it on a full stomach. When you are praying and seeking God’s will in your life, you don’t want to do it on a full stomach. You want to be sharp. Your mind needs to have it clear and focused and as soon as you eat the blood rushes to digest all that food and your mind becomes dull and you become sleepy.

Robert, I hope that helps in Bradenton, Florida. Fasting is still practiced by everybody whether you realize it or not and I don’t know of anybody that cannot wind up fasting because that period of time between meals is fasting. Pat in Tampa says I want to learn more about Paul and King David. Where do I start? Well, Paul is in the New Testament. Read the story of how he got saved. Beginning there in Acts 9, and then you can read the rest of the book of Acts, and it pretty much follows the trail of Paul’s life.

And then of course, his epistles, you learn a lot more about him as you read all the letters that he wrote. He wrote 13 of the 27 New Testament books. King David. You can read about him and learn a lot about him in the Psalms as he is the writer of the Psalms. Many of them, not all of them, but many of the Psalms are written by King David. And of course you can read the Old Testament stories in Kings and Chronicles that talk about the life of King David.

So two different men, two different parts of the Bible, but I hope that you are successful in your pursuit of that. We also have Maria in Tampa, Florida. That’s the word of God saying anything about cremation when we die. Is it okay? Thank you. We just had a question on that, Maria. And the Bible does talk about cremation. We know that Saul and his two sons were cremated. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, let’s get on with that. Okay. Okay.

Okay. Okay. So, we’re just going to go back to the next slide. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Let’s go back to the next slide. Okay. Okay. Yet the Bible is pretty clear that Saul and his two sons went to be with the Lord. When Saul made the inquiry in 1 Samuel 28 at the witch of Indoor, the Prophet Samuel actually came back from the dead and told Saul that he was going to lose the battle against the Philistines the next day.

day, and that he and his two sons would be killed, and that they would join him. Now, the Prophet Samuel was saved, so we know that Saul and his two sons were saved, and we go to be with the Prophet Samuel. But they were killed, and their bodies were taken and set on fire and burnt up, and so they were cremated. You can read about that in the Old Testament. We have Robert in Venice, Florida. He talks about book on the Sermon on the Mount by Emmet Fox.

I haven’t read it, so I really can’t give you any comments, but maybe I’ll try to discover something about that for you, Robert. Thank you for that question. I don’t have an answer for you. The next question comes from Laurie in Newport, Richie. She says, what do you think about the teachings that say that we’re already in the thousand years? Why do they think this? Where does it come from? And again, that is what my series that I just finished teaching is all about, in time controversies about praterism, which says that everything is already passed, that the rapture, the tribulation, the Antichrist, all of that is already taking place.

And so why do they think this is because they don’t take the Bible literally? If you take it literally, it tells us that we’re going to live in a thousand year kingdom of peace on earth. Look around you, is the earth at peace right now? No, we cannot possibly be in the millennium. The Bible says that the nations will learn war no more. I don’t think that’s true. We have people learning war every day. So that means we’re not in the millennium.

If we were in the millennium, Christ would be physically, visibly, ruling from Jerusalem. Is Christ in Jerusalem today? No. Christ will be ruling from His temple. Is there a temple today in Jerusalem? No. We could go on and on and on and on about what must be true here on the earth if we were to be in the millennium right now. There are dozens and dozens of things that just aren’t happening that would be true if we were in the millennial kingdom.

So Laurie, these people are not taking the Bible literally and that’s the basis of why they are confused. We have here Frank in Tampa, Florida. He’s reading the book of Colossians. He would like to know about the separate walk of a believer. Well, what you’re talking about there is that you don’t walk in the direction that the world is walking, but that you walk in the direction that the Bible orders for you and me as a believer. back in the Psalms it says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.

So when you read the Bible you get your marching instructions, you know what God wants you to do. And so as you live a life that’s pleasing to God, that by itself will separate you from unbelievers because they’re walking according to the course of this world the Bible says and Ephesians 2. And we are to walk according to the Course or Path that God sets within His Word. Frank, I hope that helps a little bit. Great book you are reading and it is a walk of faith, the Bible says.

In Colossians 2.6 it says, as you have received the Lord Jesus, so walk ye in him. That is, we receive him by faith and then we walk in the Christian life by faith believing the scriptures. Melanie in Tampa, Florida calls in she’s confused about different Scofield Bibles What’s the difference between the Scofield Bible and the Scofield study Bible? you know, these are all problems that have been caused about caused by copyright and the Scofield Bible really is out of He is a copywriter, but Oxford still retires that title.

When they call it a study Bible, they are simply trying to get around the Oxford press suing them for using the name Scofield. But just make sure that you have a King James Bible with Dr. Scofield’s notes. then it’s called a study Bible because of the notes and make sure it’s the 1909 or 1917 editions of the Schofield notes and you’ll be just fine. We have all of that here in our Resource Center you might want to check with us to get your Schofield Bible.
