Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday and thank you for tuning in today on Tuesday.

And we hope that you’ll enjoy today and also the rest of the week as we’re on Monday through Friday live out of Tampa at 10 a.m. in the morning. Also, we’re on Saturday and Sunday here in the Tampa Bay area. So that’s exciting as well. So if you live in the West Coast of Florida here, you can catch us seven days a week and play the best of on the weekend. By the way, this is Tuesday. We’ll be on with our class tonight, the Gospel of John, and it’s not too late for you to sign up and get going with that.

We have many people taking it on the internet and also many that are in driving distance that are coming actually sitting in the classroom. And that’s exciting. So You’re welcome to take that class. The Gospel done, it’ll be 12 hours of teaching. Last week we did two hours. We’ll do class three and class four tonight, and next week five and six and so on, until all 12 hours are done. The Gospel done such an incredible book. Every Christian really ought to be very familiar with it.

Some have called it God’s Gospel track, and it’s the book you can just really turn to and so easily lead someone to Christ. All the key passages you would like to quote or should quote are right there in the Gospel of John. And we’re going to have a fun time defining terms, explaining passages and dealing with different doctrinal issues. The many, many doctrines are taught in John’s Gospel, including, believe it or not, the Rapture is there in John’s Gospel in a couple of places.

So there is a Rapture and that’s coming up in God’s plan. We are excited about also many other things. We’re going to do a baptism coming up in August. If you’re in driving distance and you don’t have a local church, we’ll be doing that on the third Sunday. We chose to do that on purpose for those that are coming from out of town because we have a dinner on the third Sunday in August and everybody’s invited to join us for worship and stay for the dinner.

that dinner. We’ll motorcade up a few miles north of the church to a beautiful lake side where we’ll do this outdoors. And we’ll actually perform the baptism about three in the afternoon. If you’d like to be on that baptism list and be a part of our church baptismal here, I’ll be the one that will be baptizing. You’re welcome to call and get on that list. And we’d like to know how many will be baptized. But you are welcome. If you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior and would like to be baptized by immersion.

We’ll be doing that in a lake. It’s very safe. We’ve never lost anyone. Everybody. And by the way, we just baptized a number of people in the Jordan River in March. I’ve been to Israel now 14 times and we had some that wanted to be baptized in the Jordan. The water there was cold and that’s why these summer Badtizms are nice because the water is fairly warm in the summer, especially here in July and August. So keep that in mind.

Badtizms coming up on the third Sunday in August. And you’re always welcome to come by and we have a first-time dinner this coming month of August as well, where the ladies are putting on a special spaghetti dinner as a fundraiser to help with our Sunday school classes and upgrading everything. So you just come and leave a donation as you come in and you’ll have a wonderful spaghetti dinner. There is not a cover dish, it’s just you come in and just give a little donation as you go.

After the worship service we will go to the educational building and it will be set up and we’ll have spaghetti. It ought to be fun. Anyway, we are excited about you today and being here listening on Bibleline and we’ll try to answer your questions and we’ll be covering the scriptures. I’m going to turn today to the Gospel of Matthew for a moment and I’m going to read a familiar passage and we’re going to talk about rightly dividing the word of truth.

This is over in Matthew chapter 24. If you have your Bible handy, you can turn and look at the passages with me as I read them on the air. Excuse me, Matthew 24. It says in verse 40, then shall be two in the field, one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill, the one shall be taken, and the other left. Most people take it that that is the Rapture and guess what?

It’s not the Rapture at all it’s the second coming and The opposite of what happens at the Rapture happens at the second coming This is not the Rapture, but so many people preach that it is the Rapture so wonder the confused as to the order of things in the order of time and Many that are post-tribulational rapturists will go here and they’ll say, see, verse 40 and 41 are talking about the rapture in Matthew 24. It says a little bit earlier in the chapter in the context.

It says in verse 29, immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened and so on and so on and so on. Then they read verse 40 and 41, which in the context here says after the tribulation, and they say this is the rapture, so therefore the rapture takes place after the tribulation. Well, they’re not reading very carefully because this is not talking about the rapture. Yes, they do get the time right. It’s after the tribulation.

So what’s going on here? First 29 tells us immediately after the tribulation. Okay, so the tribulation of seven years long, which will commence at the rapture and end at the second tummy of Christ, This is what is being discussed here. And it’s talking about here what happens at the Second Coming. Now let’s back up a little bit. Jesus just had finished saying, as the days of Noah were in verse 37, social also becoming the Son of Anbe. For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark.

And then verse 39 says, says, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away. Well, I’ve marked the phrase there, took them all away, and how or what group were taken away? Well, the flood took all the unbelievers away. They were all drowned, weren’t they? The ones that were left were the ones that were in the Ark, Noah and his three sons and their wives, all eight of those people survived the flood because they were in the ark, a picture of Christ by the way, that Noah and his family were safely in the ark.

And the Bible tells us all those that are in Christ shall be saved, and that is the beautiful picture as the saved were saved in Christ and the ark, a picture of Christ. And here it says in verse 39 that they did not know they were busy in their activities and they didn’t know until the flood came and took them all away. So the flood came. It says, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. Then it goes on to say immediately then is the time word in verse 40.

It will be in the field of what will be taken. Now I’ve taken the word taken in verse 40 and I’ve circled it and I’ve drawn a line back to verse 39 to the word took and tied it together. Because when you have the two in the field of what is taken, the one is taken is taken in judgment just like those that were taken in judgment at the time of the flood and they were taken away. And the ones that were left are left to live into the Millennial Kingdom and they’ll still be in their mortal bodies and they’ll be the subjects of the thousand year reign of Christ.

When Christ is ruling over the earth as king, there will be people in their physical bodies or mortal bodies who will not have died. These are the survivors of the tribulation who are believers. As the millennium begins, it is quite clear that Christ will slay, he will kill every unbeliever. In other words, right now, if you are an unbeliever and you miss the rapture, you are left behind at the Rapture, you have seven more years to get saved. But if you don’t get saved by the time the Tribulation period in, seven years after the Rapture, then your post is too late.

Christ will come and destroy all the unbelievers, just like the flood came and destroyed all the unbelievers in the days of Noah. the ones that are left behind. In the case of the Second Coming are the believers who are left behind in the Millennium. Whereas at the Rapture the opposite is taking place. Those that are taken are the believers who are left behind in the air. And those that are left behind are the unbelievers. That’s what the Left Behind series was all about.

It was talking about those that don’t know Christ will be left behind for the darkest hours of human history When the lost will be plunged into that seven-year tribulation period, I think we’re getting close. I really do. Are you watching the news every day? It’s getting worse. It really is. And the Middle East seems to be boiling right now, and it looks like we’re coming up on something. Could it be the Lord will come this year? Wouldn’t that be something?

Certainly he could. I really believe whatever year he comes for the Rapture, it’ll probably be on the Feast of Trumpets. That’s September 12th this year. Whoa, interesting stuff, huh? What if there is a repeat in some form of 9-11 this year, you know, and there’s talk about something happening this year in the head of the homeland security city, and he had to get to feeling something would happen this year? What if it happened on 9-11? Then on the 12th, all theCategory was a raptured out.

Wouldn’t that are raptured, but just all the problems that are left behind with the event. In any case, I don’t know when the Lord is coming back. I know He’s coming soon, and I think that we’re probably living when it’ll happen, and it could come this year. Wouldn’t that be something? I’ll tell you. I look forward to giving you guys a high five on the way up when we go up at the Rapture. I’ll be looking forward to that.

So in any case, this is the passage here in Matthew 2440. Two will be in the field. That’s one saved and one unsaved of obviously. The one will be taken in judgment as they were back in Noah’s flood and destroyed or killed. And the other left as the ones that were in the ark were left to repopulate the earth. So will the believers be left to worship the Lord and live during that millennial kingdom. 41, two women should be grinding at the mill.

The one will be taken, I’ve taken that word taken, circled it, tied it back to the word taken in verse 40, taken it and gone a line back to the word took in verse 39 because the ones taken here are taken in judgment and killed and the ones that are left are left to live in the millennium. So at the Rapture, as we said, the believers are taken up, the unbelievers are left behind, but at the second coming seven years later the opposite takes place, the ones that are take in, or take in judgment and slain, the believers are left behind to populate the earth.

That’s true throughout the Bible, wherever you look in Zechariah. If you turn back to the Prophet Zechariah, next to the last book of your Old Testament, it’s kind of fascinating. In chapter 14, we have the Second Coming. It tells us about how all nations will be gathered together against Jerusalem, the battle. the Battle of Armageddon and boy the Middle East is heating up, the world is focused over there. We have now just sent the battleship of the aircraft carrier Enterprise in a battle group.

That’s three battle groups over there now, three aircraft carriers and the Enterprise is now headed there. Something is about to happen. You better believe it. And we know that a vintage job of Iran has promised that there is going to be some kind of war this summer or this fall and I think we’re probably going to see something explode here. It says then the Lord shall go forth verse 3 of Zechariah 14 and he’ll fight against those nations and so that’s the battle of army and Christ comes back and we find here that millions and millions are killed.

The chapter describes how people will die. In verse 16 this is where we’re looking now, Zechariah 14 and 16, it shall come to pass that everyone that is left, there’s the word I’m looking for, everyone that is left of all the nations. Who are left after these battles are over and Christ is slain all the lost? Well, it’s only the same. And what will they do? All everyone that is left of the nations with came against Jerusalem should go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts.

Jesus will be in Jerusalem and they’ll go up from year to year to worship him. So that hasn’t happened yet, that’s future, But we find it talks here about those that are left behind being believers. The unbelievers are slain. They’re killed at the Battle of Armageddon. And we have the believers who survive the tribulation. He is the one who will be taken and killed. The other will be left behind to live into the millennium. Hopefully, you’re a believer. You’ll be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

That’s exciting. Dr. Inklyn’s from Mrs. Bible. I’m looking forward to hearing from you today. You can call us at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we invite you to join our class tonight. I’m teaching the Gospel of John. Twelve hours. We did two hours last Tuesday night. We’ll do two more hours tonight, class three, class four tonight, from seven to nine. And by By the way, you can sign up and take that on the internet. Now, if you can’t watch it live, you can go back throughout the week and watch it whatever you want.

So once you sign up and pay the fee and get the passcode, you can watch it anytime you want. We have a good internet audience taking the class. This enables me to be able to teach not only all over the country, but worldwide, really, good people in other countries could also sign up and take the class on the internet. But if you’re in the driving business, we invite you to come and sign up for the class and take it right here with me live.

And that’s, I think, you get more that way. But whatever, it makes no difference. And we’d love to have you come. We’re going to go to the phone lines. The phone lines are 1-800-576-3771. We’ll try to catch the off-air questions. And so we’ll try to get to those as well. We right now have Tom in Riverview, Florida. and tom welcome to the bottom you’re on the air good morning sir how are you a question uh… you know what you’re talking about you were talking about the monologue the uh…

in time to on that you twenty four uh… and you mentioned the left behind series and and the concern that i have about that series and and uh… i pose this question before uh… and i do understand that there will be you know thousands of maybe the millions of people saved during the tribulation. The verses there in 2 Thessalonians that they will be given strong delusion that the God will cause them to believe a lie and in fact even the left behind series the primary ones that are actually supposedly come to Christ during that are ones that were naysayers and rejectors before the rapture.

And again, just curious as to your take on that, and I will hang up and listen to your response. I bless you for what you do. Thank you, Tom. You’re absolutely right. There are those who, if they’ve heard a clear gospel, I think they can hear about the rapture all they want, but if they’ve heard a clear gospel and reject that and then the rapture happens. probably will not get saved because God does say that he will send strong delusion and it tells us specifically to whom he sends that delusion.

So let’s take a look at the scripture and I’ll read that passage and it talks here about a particular group. It says that the wicked one which is Satan will be revealed right after the rapture and then it says even him verse 9 of 2 Thessalonians 2 who is coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders and with all the sea-blowness of unrighteousness in them that perish. That’s the lost. And it says here because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.

So here they’re clearly rejecting the gospel message. Most people I talk to have never heard a clear gospel message. I lead people to Christ all the time. And some have been in church or churches all their life. We have one gentleman in our church that got saved here at 76 years of age. He was active in church from childhood. And a leadership role he had in many of the churches over the years and didn’t get saved until he got here.

Never heard the gospel in all those years. And so I don’t think it’s talking about those that have necessarily been in church or heard things about God or Christ but never heard the gospel. But those who have heard the gospel and have rejected that they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved. And for this cause, verse 11, the verse you’re referring to Tom says, God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie.

He said that they all, verse 12, might be damned who believe not the truth but had pleasure and unrighteousness. So for those who are saying that I’m not going to accept Christ after they’ve heard that salvation is a gift is paid for by Christ’s death and shed blood and know the plan of salvation is not by works, they’ve heard a clear presentation that it’s all of Christ and none of ourself and reject that, then they probably will become deluded in the tribulation period and not get saved.

it saved. So interesting and that’s my take on that and I think the left behind series of course is fiction but I understand it’s pretty good. I haven’t read it because I have a rule myself that I don’t read any fiction period. I don’t want to mix up my mind and I chose to do that from being a brand new believer. I said I don’t want to be able to have my facts straight about the Bible and I don’t want to read Christian fiction and get my mind all messed up with things that I might think are truth and came from the Bible when they didn’t.

So I try to keep my reading pretty selective where I separate out fiction and I don’t read it at all. So I’m not a fiction reader. But those who read it say it’s pretty much in line with what we believe. And I think truly thousands have probably maybe tens of thousands or even more have gotten saved by reading the book. And for that I applaud the the the left behind series. We’re not going to go to John in Vermont and John, thanks for calling in.

Hi brother. Hey John. How are you hearing us on the internet or on the radio? How bad? Do you hear us over the internet or do you hear us over the radio? No I listen to the radio at one o’clock though. Okay, wonderful. That’s great. Well John do you have a question for us? Yeah. My sister and I get into it pretty heavy about losing your salvation. Yes. And, of course, a lot of people believe it too, but, chapter 7 in Matthew 19 and 20, every tree that brings us not good is hoeing down and cast into the fire.

Therefore, by their fruits, you shall know them. And I believe that I’m in Christ and He’s the vine. In John, chapter 15, I think a lot of people use proof that you can, as if they may and a by not need, he has cast forth. Well, first of all, say that we’re not talking about the same thing in Matthew 7. In Matthew 7 he’s talking about false prophets, and the fruit there is talking about the converts of the false prophets.

And they produce corrupt fruit, whereas a person who genuinely saved produces good fruit. And the fruit is the reproduction of themselves. For example, when those witnesses come to my door, I don’t have to travel to Brooklyn, New York, to the head of the Watchtower Society to find out that organization is really confused and totally wrong and they’re a false cult. I can just examine the fruit and standing at my door, those two guys or a man and a woman or two women that are Joe’s witnesses, they’re the fruit of that organization.

As I ask them a couple of good questions about the Trinity, about the deity of Christ, about salvation by faith, I find out, wow, they don’t believe in hell. They’re a false organization and I don’t have to travel to New York City. Also when the fruit of the Mormon’s come to my door, a couple of fruit stand at my door, Mormons and I ask them a couple of good questions and they believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers and Michael the Archangel in Satan are the same and so on and so on.

They don’t believe in hell. They believe in salvation by works. I know they’re a false group. I don’t have to go out to Salt Lake City in Utah to the head of the Mormon Church. I know they’re false. So that’s what that’s talking about. Now in John 15, John is talking about the fruit of a genuine believer that the fruit that we bear is obviously good fruit. But it’s talking here about believers here being branches in the vine and it talks about four different categories of believers.

There’s no fruit Christians, there’s fruit Christians, more fruit Christians and much fruit Christians. John is trying to tell us that we all ought to be in the last category. I believe the much fruit Christian is somebody who reproduces himself many times over throughout his lifetime. I think anybody can be in that category. Over in the parable of the sower, a thirty full, sixty full, hundred full, I think is the Christian that sown seed upon the good ground that produces much fruit.

That would be pretty easy. You let one person to the Lord a year over thirty years, you could easily be a thirty-fold Christian and I think that’s what it’s talking about. But then it talks about if you’re a no fruit Christian, you have no effective testimony with those around you. Then it talks about, and if you read verse six carefully, not God, but men gather them as branches that are like not producing any fruit on a vine. If you were the husband, you would prune the vine and cut those branches off and get rid of them.

and gather these branches and burn them. It’s saying you have no testimony with the lost. And I think speaking of loss of reward and certainly not loss of salvation, it’s talking there that believers, clearly all of the branches are believers, but some of them bear no fruit and they are no fruit Christians and their testimony is worthless and only worthy to be burned. I think my sister did get kind of upset with me and and then she turned to me and says John.

It’s only doctrine and What it’s fault doctrine and I just you know and I’m writing her a letter now. So yeah Well, maybe I’ll help a little bit with that and I think that you’re clear that John 15 is talking about fruit bearing Two believers and if we don’t bear fruit then we miss out on the joy if you look a little bit further down He says he does all this he says is so that our joy might be full We got to go to break here.

Thank you for calling in from Vermont. This is Hank Finstrom Bibleline We’re coming to you live and we’re gonna go to break so state soon right where you are We’ll be right back after this short intermission Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 That’s 1-800-576-3771 Hi, I’m Dr. England Striman. It’s really wonderful to be able to be with you every day and we thank you for tuning in. We just heard from Vermont and we really are getting out all over the place and it’s wonderful to hear from you listeners and John just now listening up there in Vermont and New York and Massachusetts and all those areas and we have another radio station up there in Massachusetts that’s wanting to get us on up there in that area to give a fuller coverage in in massachusetts i think

uh… these are uh… rich areas to win people to christ and hopefully we can do that you know we can’t do it without your help all of our uh… broadcast generally cost us uh… money and we launch out in faith believing that god somehow will supply and that’s where you all come in who listen every day and are faithful if you would consider giving to us and by the way Summertime is a lean time and all ministries seem to suffer a lack of giving in the summer If you could help us that would greatly be appreciated Some of these stations are pretty expensive the station here in my area And a local area cost me over a hundred thousand a year and so we’re talking about a lot of money here and we really invest every bit of it into the Ministry if we get a little bit more money

we reach out on another station and we’re always trying to reinvest because we believe time is short and we want to get the gospel out to as many as we possibly can. Would you consider giving a gift to Bible and you can do it by telephone and give a gift by credit card? You can also mail a gift in if you need an envelope. You can ask for one to be sent to you with our address on it. We’ll be glad to send that out and get it to you.

Even taking the class, although we don’t want anyone not to be able to take the class on the gospel John, we want to instruct you and teach you and help you grow. But that little bit of a gift we offer the course for goes to help Bible and stay on the year. And it’s not really a whole lot, but if you can’t afford it, definitely I don’t want you to not take the class because you can’t pay the fee.

That’s not our object is to get money out of you. We’re really trying to get the radio message out. and as many people as participate to help us to be able to do that. I’m Dr. Englund Stremen and we’re going to be returning the stations to the development break and do the second half hour. I hope you’ll stay with us for another half hour. And you can go on the internet and catch this program again and again. And others that are sitting there in our archive, you can listen to them as often as you want.

By the way, you can catch our worship services. There’s about six months sitting there and you can go back and thank you in a couple more hours and get Sundays. Worship service but also about six months past. Anyway, stay tuned to your radio right where it is. We’re going to get back to the other stations that have been on break and do the second half hour. So keep your radio right where it is. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr.

Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break in this is Bible and I’m Dr. England’s room and we’re coming to you live from the studios right here at Calvary Community Church where I pastor and we look forward to being with you every day This is Tuesday and we look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday and in the Tampa Bay area We look forward to being with you seven days a week as we play the best of on the weekends And we hope that you will be listening as often as you can and passing that word along to your friends helping us expand our audience and God bless each and every one of you.

We are excited about the Gospel of John. It’s one of the great gospels in the Bible. One of my favorites and we’re teaching that right now on Tuesday nights. We just began last week and you can jump in and join us for that class. If you come tonight, if you’re in driving distance, you can sign up. You can get the CDs of the past two weeks, and you can obviously catch up. And there’ll be 12 hours of teaching six full weeks.

So we got tonight and four more weeks after tonight. And we hope that you’ll do that. You can do it on the internet. You can call in and pay the fee. It’s just only $60. A gift to Bible and to help us stay on the air. And you’ll be given the passcode. and you can watch the class live tonight or at any time you want day or night during the week. And as often as you want throughout this whole class of I think you’ll find that’s a real benefit and you’ll learn I believe a great deal.

A lot of people tell me that just by listening to Bible I learned more in 30 days and they do in 30 years at their Church. I had a funeral this past week and some of the Paul Bears who were already saved told me they learned more in that funeral service that they had never heard before in all the years they had been in their churches. They learned things that they had never heard before, never knew before as I gave the gospel message.

It’s amazing at the lack of teaching it’s out there and how the Bible predicted in the book of Amos that in the last days there would be a famine not for water or for bread but for the hearing of the Word of God and how true that is. The good Bible teacher seemed to be dying off and the new breed coming up really leave us confused and the teaching today in the churches is very shallow if any at all and A lot of people are confused as a result and of course Satan is the author of Confusion, 1 Corinthians 1433 and certainly he wants us to stay confused and that’s what he does good.

He’s good at that. In any case, pray for us here at Bible End and maybe you can take the class on John by signing up today over the phone or coming out tonight and signing up in person and also of course listening to the Bible End. A lot of people like to sit down, I hear a number of people sit down after dinner, they get their Bible out and they play the Bible on program and you know you’re able to stop and you’re able to pause, you’re able to go back, you’re able to go forward and they go slow and they mark their Bible and they listen to the questions and the answers and pay attention and they just love it because it’s a relaxed atmosphere, they’re right there on their computer and they’ve had dinner and they just kind of enjoy reviewing the programs.

That’s exciting. And again, don’t forget that we’re on television in South Florida tonight. Tuesday nights, we’re on I think Channel 13 on cable throughout all of South Florida. We come out of West Palm Beach on the Christian television network channel, their Channel 62 and it’s on cable I think Channel 13 throughout all of South Florida. So if you’re down in South Florida from I think Fort Pierce all the way to Miami, you can catch the PV program. On Thursday, we’re on of course all over the West Coast on the Christian Television Network at 7, and we’re also on World Harvest Television.

On Direct TV, Channel 321 nationwide at 6-3 Eastern Time on the CTN Christian Network. We’re excited about all that God is doing and we certainly thank God for all of you. We have some callers here we want to get to and some all fair questions we want to get to. I want to talk to our buddy down in South Florida in Hollywood. We have Harold calling in today and Harold, we want to welcome you to Bible and glad to hear from you.

Well, how are you feeling my friend? I’m feeling wonderful. Well, now that you’ve spoken to me, I feel better also. So I’m going to get right. I know that the believers are on the air and I’m still an atheist. So can I ask you a question? Absolutely. All week long, you know, all week, all I’ve heard was Jesus. And I had some questions, but I said, I’m going to call Dr. Hagg. I want the truth. And I know when you speak to me, I believe you.

The question this week from all these people, including every station, is that they quoted everything from Jesus, what he does and what he did for people, the sick, the homeless, the poor. You know more about that than me, right? So when I say yes for emails, so I ask for email, I send them an email, but you know none of them will answer the question about if you’re not, if you don’t accept Jesus as your savior, do you burn in hell?

And I don’t get any answer. They avoid that question. So my question to talk to Hank is If Jesus is always good things for the poor, the sick, etc., why is that lash line? But if you don’t accept me as the Savior, you burn in hell. I don’t get that. That’s a great question. And I think all these ministries out there avoid that because it’s a PR thing. They just want to, I can’t not offend anybody. But I’m afraid that the herald is this way.

Everybody in the human race is headed for hell. this Christ comes along as a Savior and he rescues all those that will believe on him. It’s like if there were one of these cruise lines out in the ocean and somehow we’re sinking and there were ample ships to come to the aid of that ship to rescue people and there are some people saying, no, I don’t want to be rescued. I don’t like the looks of your rescue boats and the people that are driving those rescue boats, they just defend me and I’m afraid I’m going to turn you down.

Well, it’s really the person’s rejection that’s causing them to go to hell whereas the Savior has his arms out extended to everyone that who so ever believe within Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. So it’s not so much that he’s saying, you’re going to go to hell if you don’t believe on me. He’s saying, I want to rescue you because you’re going to hell. That it’s a rescue mission. Christ is a Savior coming to rescue this planet because everybody on is going to perish according to the Bible because we’re already condemned.

It says in John 3 18, he to believe if not is condemned already. So we are born into this world with a sin nature because of Adam’s sin. This has passed upon the whole human race. And as a result, we’re all drowning swimmers, all in need of the lifeguard to come and save us. And in this case, we are headed for hell, and Jesus is the rescuer. And of course, he’s God. He’s God who came and took on human flesh.

And because he so loved the world, he gave his son to die in our place so that we might be forgiven and receive his wonderful gift of eternal life. So it’s really, I think, the opposite the way it’s being presented. We have the whole world already condemned, already headed for hell with no hope. If Jesus did nothing, then we’d all go to hell. But he can’t just forgive you indiscriminately that the payment for sin had to be dealt with, had to be paid for.

So he gave his own life. That’s how much he cared. So that if we would receive the payment that he made for us on the cross, that we could be forgiven and received to give to be turned on. And that’s the way I would put it. But you mentioned something that I picked up on you, said it’s a TR type of thing. I think the churches are tipping on the lily pads. They’re very carefully not to disturb the waters and not to offend anybody.

So they don’t often speak the truth. They just tell you what you want to hear. Of course you know that the Pope said that you are a of a false religion this week you know that oh yeah i heard that and i it i had to say on the air that he’s wrong that i left and that that’s why i made the call that the other thing with this argument now great uh… what’s his name uh… rick warden The guys run for president, you know.

Okay. They said you can’t vote for him. He belongs to a cult. The Mormons, they’re a cult. This is what I’m understanding. That’s why I had to give the call to you. But one thing I don’t know what to quote, but I think I heard I think it was right. Possibly said something about that. Jesus sits on the right hand side of God. Something like that. Yes. What was? What’s the right statement that he made? I just quoted real fast.

Well, Christ is seated right now on the right hand of the Majesty on high. The Bible tells us, and that’s really talking about Jesus, you know, is God, but he’s also a man. And as a man, he is the man who is highest in authority. He’s one of us. In other words, God became man, and God became one of us so that he might not only reveal himself to us, but also become our Savior. And as a result, this man, Jesus, is exalted so that he is, and it’s an expression we use all the time, he’s my right hand man, meaning that he is not only intimately connected to but is very powerfully able to be the one through whom power and authority is delegated.

And so we’re going to see Jesus in heaven and he will be visible and he will be the most powerful man in the universe because he’s the God man he’s God who took on flesh. So it’s not like you have necessarily God and then you have another throne on the right hand side. I think it really is an expression of power and authority that Christ has been given all power and all authority and therefore he’s the right hand man.

Now you see that’s why I call because I figured no way you can’t be you know sitting the right hand side of God in this man and his God, but you said man God. Exactly. And so he is the most powerful man, he’s God. That’s why he is. But he’s that expression of power like as we as humans we delegate authority or power to someone else and people use that. He’s our boss’s right hand man. And you know, watch out, that guy has power and authority.

He could probably fire you or he could elevate you so you want to treat that person with great respect. So Christ is that man in relationship to God the Father. He is the highest authority in the way of a man. Now you know why I support your ministry. By the way, one question. I need your permission. I read the son sent and I do a profile on ministers and rabbis and so if I can recommend you, is it okay?

They asked for recommendations. So I did the tamper is their church tamper The church is in Tampa in this Calvary community church. Oh, it’s a Calvary community church Yeah, well, I want you to take care of yourself I say Shalom and at least I got the truth and the truth what is but is that me free amen Harold I’m glad you called take care all right you too now It’s always a pleasure Harold pray for Harold that he trusts Christ as a savior here, claims to be a Jewish atheist.

And the truth is, is that no one can enter heaven without Jesus. And we’re praying for held. He’s apparently listening and learning. And at some point a person has to make a decision with Christ and trust him to say, we’re here to John now. He’s been patiently waiting in Brandon, Florida. And so John, welcome the Bible. Good morning, Dr. Hank. I have a question here that’s been bugging me. As you know from the book of Malachi to Matthew, that’s a period of about 400 years, correct me from Rome.

At least, yes, sir. And my question is, can you or if not maybe you can guide me to what events occurred as you know, but the prophets were already killed and Jesus is coming now at Matthew, but between Malachi and Matthew, what occurred in the world? Where can I look in the internet or in the library? That’s one question. The other question that I have, in what page can I look in the internet? Because I have certain questions and every time I go into the Microsoft or Yahoo.com, I can’t get nothing at all.

it won’t open page so do you have any suggestions that you can help me? I’ll hang up, I’ll hang up and then you can talk to me. Thank you John. Those were called by many Bible scholars the silent years gone with through the prophets because of Israel’s disobedience. And God didn’t speak for about 400 years, those years, there was no more added to the Bible. Now, there are some Jewish histories that were written, and we don’t accept them as being inspired, but shed a light on that time.

And they were added, by the way, by the Catholics to their Bible. We believe they were wrong in adding them as Scripture. But they definitely shed light on that period of time. There’s first and second Maccabees, which are part of what we call the Apocryphal Books. And it tells you about the Maccabees and more back in 150 or so BC. And there we have Anticus Epiphanes, a Greek-Syrian ruler who came and took over Jerusalem and actually desecrated the temple and shut down the temple worship.

There were a group of priests that were called the back of being priests. They lived a few miles away from Jerusalem. They came and, believe it or not, with a small fighting force. Defeated the ones who were in charge there and liberated Jerusalem and the temple and restarted the temple worship again. That of course is where Hanukkah began. It’s called the festival of lights. They lit the menorah and they only had one day’s oil, but yet it stayed light for eight days.

The miracle is said to have been that. Christ actually entered the temple in John’s Gospel, Chapter 10 on Hanukkah when they were celebrating the rededication of the temple. He was the one for whom the temple was built and they rejected him on Hanukkah. It’s an interesting passage if you read John’s Gospel, Chapter 10. So you can read about world history and things that were happening. Of course, we have Rome coming into power over the Middle East and Pontius Pilate becoming the governor at the time when Christ was living.

And the Bible, even we have a little history where Herod very, very paranoid, killed all the babies in the Bethlehem area and all the other surrounding cities in order to get rid of this Messiah that would be king over Israel. Very fascinating stuff out there. I personally use Google a lot and I usually have fine great success. So if you put in a couple of keywords and hit go, I’m sure you’ll find some great, great stuff there. You also might want to get a couple of encyclopedias.

We have the Zonervin pictorial Bible dictionary. It’s five volumes full of pictures full of history and that might help you a lot and It’s for a gift of $150. I think it really retails for a couple hundred in your bookstore. But the Zonnivan five volume pictorial bible encyclopedia. And that’s a good source. And we have others in our resource center that might help you. You can ask for a resource sheet and you can kind of look. But also your regular encyclopedia will give you some stuff.

But I think if you have a biblical encyclopedia, We’ll focus on probably things as they affected the Middle East and we thank you for calling in John. I hope that helps and definitely the silence was broken by of course let’s see here who are going to pull up next here on the phone. We have Derek in Texas. We’re in Texas and Derek. Welcome to a Bible and you’re on the air. Derek, are you there? Let’s see if I can get Derek.

Derek, are you there? Yes, sir. I am. All right. Welcome to Bibleline. What city are you in? I am in Texas. I know Texas, Texas or. Oh, I’m sorry. The way question is your answer. The city. Oh, I’m Inkling. Oh, I’m in Colleen. Okay. Clean, look at. Colleen. Okay. Yes, sir. Yes sir. Texas. I’m in a big state. That’s my big state. Yes, yes sir. Yes. Yes, sir. My question is, are you to tithe in your church only if you tithe or can you tithe towards the kingdom?

And then the second part is, I know that we’re under the grace dispensation. So by us being under the grace dispensation, we’re not commanded to tithe like the children of Israel type, but Abraham tithe. And this was before the law. Great. Are we too tithe? too tight. Well, the timing, as you have heard, is under the law. But prior to the law, Abraham gave it ties. So it’s a good number. 10% is a good figure. Some people like Charles Riehry recommend that you just get out of that mindset by maybe giving 9.5% or 10.5% or making 11%.

But basically you make a choice from the heart to give regularly to God. And we find that… Basically, the rule also is you give oftentimes where you’re fed. So if you’re getting fed the scriptures that are growing through a particular ministry, then that’s where you’ll want to invest. And we find that that is certainly taught in the Epistles of Paul as we’re to give. If your church doesn’t give you anything in the way of spiritual food, then you’re probably the wrong church.

You need to find one where you can be spiritually fed. If you can’t find one, then you have to give where you are getting fed from God’s Word. I think that’s more the rule that I see in the New Testament. You need to communicate or give or support those that are giving to you that are supporting you spiritually. That’s where your gifts ought to go. But do not restrict it you’re so welcome there can thank you for your call about there in uh…

texas we don’t have a our third in belle glade florida and arthur welcome to uh… by the way yes i do not have to i have to question uh… last night near my wife’s helping so my fifty-year-old daughter and a few of our and i know both of them are saying but the question came up about the age of china billard And I remember you did a study with you, you were saying that over in I think the book of Genesis when the kids, when the years of life in the city got to the promised land that God, two years old, was for 20 years old up and the one that was 19 years old, 19 year old, old dad, willing to get a promise land, never one or two.

And I remember that to you, Jonah, with God for him to go to the universe and he’s somebody We had 120,000 over there, they didn’t let him from the living. If you’re a strain of two texts, it’s complete. Sure. Well, it’s not in Genesis, but in the Exodus when they rebelled against the Lord, he had that whole generation wander for 40 years until we all died out. And those that were 20 and under were then the ones that were allowed to enter into the promised land.

So basically from our laws today, we know that when you turn 21, you become legal. I think they’re making it 18 now. But, typically, it’s always been when you were 21, then you were financially and became responsible and obligated to take care of your own debts. You became to that point. Now, as far as accountability before God to get saved, I believe the one in Jonah is is probably the correct one where when you can tell your left hand from your right, it’s actually the last verse in the book of Jonah.

Jonah only has four chapters, but in the last verse God was telling Jonah. So here we have God defining it for us that when the city of Nineveh was threatened to be destroyed, he said that he didn’t destroy it because Jonah, he said there were 120,000 children that didn’t know the right hand from their left. That’s quite a large number of children, aren’t they? And so whatever that age is, that allows, I think, for the individual development of the child.

Some will mature more quickly than others, but when they can tell their left hand from their right hand, then they become responsible to trust Christ. But if you have children legally, they still come under their parents umbrella legally until they’re 21. I know some car rental companies won’t even rent a car until you’re 25, so they don’t trust you until you’re 25. I thought that was interesting to learn that. But definitely the 21 comes from the 20 and under.

So until they turn to their 21st birthday, they were still considered children as far far as obligations that an adult would have. But as far as being saved, I think it’s when you can discern your left hand from your right hand. I hope that helps. Alright, that’s very much that. Okay. And that was Arthur down in Belgrade, Florida. We now have Armando in St. Petersburg. Armando, welcome to Bible Ed. Good morning, Dr. Limston. Good morning. And send me in regard to, he said that Jesus called the elect ones.

And he gives me a… He said that he died for the church and then he quotes another scripture that he does die for many people. Absolutely. Whoever you’re talking to is totally wrong. First time 2-2 is my favorite. It says Christ is the propitiation for our sins. The word propitiation means a satisfying sacrifice. And it says He is the propitiation for our sins and not for our sins only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Hard to wiggle out of that one.

1 John 2 2. Then also in Hebrews 2 verse 9 it says Christ tasted death for every man. And in John 3 16 for God’s love the world. That means the whole human race. It’s not talking about the dirt and the earth here. It’s talking about the humans of the human race. Everybody from Adam to the last person would ever live. God’s love the world that he gave has only been gotten the sun. So Christ died for everybody. I think that’s quite clear everywhere.

And those that are under the teaching of Calvinism, I’m assuming that’s what this guy is, basically say that Christ, according to their doctrine of limited atonement, he only died to pay for the sins of those that would be elected to be saved. And that’s craziness. That’s not what the Bible teaches. What’s that? Scripture in Hebrew that you call it? Hebrews 29 29 Yep We got a run, we’re out of time here. We’ll be back tomorrow and keep looking up.

Jesus is coming. Don’t forget you can take the class in the Gospel of John tonight. Sign up. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida. They can hear us around the world, 149 countries thus far, and we’re getting responses from all over the world, and that’s exciting. It really is. It really is. And maybe you’d like to be a part of that. You know, my mind is totally supported by our listeners. We don’t have pleasures or subscribers or we don’t have any people just underwriting the program. We’re totally dependent upon you and without you we could not be on the air. And it’s really truly a work of faith where we trust God to supply.

And your gifts are indispensable. You know, during the summer it’s the lean months. All Christian ministries churches, everybody suffers a dip in their giving. And it’s basically, as those who write books about these kind of things, talks about the two-hump camel, that spring and the fall are the most alive times for Christian ministry in churches. And in the summer, there’s that dip between the two humps of the camel. Well, we’re in that right now. And if you would help us at this time financial, it would be great.

Your gifts would really help shore us up and carry us through the lean summer months. And we thank God in advance. You can give it by credit card over the phone. You can also do it by mail if you call. We’ll send you an envelope with our address on it if you like. And we really do thank you in advance for your gifts to Bible.
