Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline greet to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida.

From our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. Thanks for tuning in today. It’s Tuesday and we hope that you’ll have a great day today and I hope that Bible and will help set the tone of your day by getting into the Bible. If you have your Bible hand to get it out, we’ll be taking a look at the scriptures. And of course we’ll be going to our callers. You can call in if you like at 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. We are excited about being able to be with you. And of course, if you’ll help us to build our audience, you can tell your friends about Bible and we’re on for a full hour every day coming out of Tampa. And some nations don’t care for the full hour, but most do. And if your station doesn’t, you can call them and ask them, hey, could you free up the full hour so Bibleline could be on the full hour?

That would be great. Also, if you would tell your friends in other countries and other parts of the U.S. about Bibleline that they can get it on the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so many are internet listeners and they are coming to Bibleline from 150 different countries across the globe. exciting. And we’re looking forward to reaching out even further. And hopefully you may let your friends, your relatives, your missionaries in other countries know about Babylon, drop them an email, tell them to check it out.

And many are doing that in many different countries across the world. When we were in Israel in March of this year, we had a wonderful trip. We met a wonderful group of believers from Nigeria in Africa and we invited them to my Bible study in the hotel in the evening and many of them, about 40 of them came and one of them stood up and said he listened to Bibleline in Nigeria. We thought, wow, what are the chances of us meeting like this?

Here they traveled to Israel, I traveled to Israel and here we meet up. Well, if that wasn’t enough, later that week we met with about four or five pastors that had groups from Nigeria from northern Nigeria. And they recognized me because they watched Bibleline as well as listen to Bibleline in northern Nigeria. So we had a fellow in a group from southern Nigeria and from northern Nigeria, I guess we’re born at a border or coast to coast in Nigeria, but it was exciting to see how God is using Bibleline and to actually meet folks that listen on the other side of the world as we met there in Israel, it was a real joyous occasion.

We hope that you’ll pass that word along to your friends and we had a fellow that just came back from Japan, a Bibleline listener here from Tampa, Florida. He got a bunch of missionaries over in Japan listening to Bibleline and that’s a real thrill. So wherever you go. You can pass out that information about BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. We’re going to talk about the Scriptures. We’re going to talk a little bit about predestination today. The Bible does teach predestination, but it does not teach that God makes your choice for you.

You have a choice, but what God did predestinate was that before the foundations of the world, He chose that he would save all of those who would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and that he would not save those who did not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. You see it right there in John 3 16. For God still loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, here is what he chose before the foundations of the world, that whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life.

So obviously he chose that he so ever would not believe would perish and not have everlasting life. It’s really that simple. Calvinism is usually defined by five points of doctrine called the five points of Calvinism. And they’re usually remembered by the acronym for tulip, T-U-L-I-P. And the first one is called total depravity. And that’s the T in tulip. And total depravity teaches that we’re sinners. Of course that is true. And that’s the major thrust of that particular teaching. But it goes on to say that we are, before we’re saved, spiritually dead, and that we’re such that we cannot even believe.

Usually we’re told in Calvinism that a dead man can’t do anything. A dead man can’t hear, a dead man can’t speak, a dead man cannot see, a dead man cannot feel, and so you’re a dead man before you become saved. And so therefore you cannot even believe on Christ. You see Calvinism teaches that God saves you and then you believe as a consequence. I reject that. I don’t believe the Bible teaches that at all. I believe the order is that you believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ and then you become saved.

But the Calvinist teaches that God saves you first and then you believe as a consequence. I believe the opposite that we believe or trust on Christ and as a consequence we become saved. Well in any case the Bible doesn’t agree with Calvinism. Let me have you go to John chapter 5 and take a look with me at this wonderful verse. And these are the words of Christ and look at what he says. In John 5 in verse 25, Jesus says, barely, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.

Here Jesus plainly tells us that dead people spiritually dead, that is, can hear the gospel and can respond to the gospel and become the same. He says here, fairly, fairly, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is when the dead, that is spiritually dead, shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they did hear. There are two different words in the Greek translated here, H-E-A-R, and the one is a word that means to hear receiving it, the other is to hear and not receive it.

This is obviously the one that they hear and they receive it and they become saved. The previous verse, which is a marvelous verse in John 5, Jesus says, very, very, I say unto you, he that hearth my word. So the words of Christ are in the Scriptures and as a lost person hears the words of Jesus. These words can bring life to a dead person. A dead person can hear them, they can respond, and they can believe. And so point number one of Calvinism is wrong.

We could go on and talk much more about this. But it’s amazing how people accept man-made teachings and then try to make the Bible fit. And so often this is what happens among many groups where they come to the Bible with preconceived ideas. And they try to make the Bible fit. Rather, we ought to go to the Bible and verify that everything that we’ve been taught is correct or is wrong. And I’ll never forget the night that I got saved.

I discovered that what I had been taught about salvation was wrong. I was taught that I had to work my way to heaven as a little boy. I was taught that I was climbing Sunshine Mountain, gaining new heights every day on my upward way. that eventually I could make heaven if I kept working at it, kept climbing, and of course that is certainly not the truth. Well the second point of Calvinism is called irresistible grace. The U-L-I-P-2, the U is standing for unconditional election.

Well it really tells us that salvation is not of works, but it’s not unconditioned because the Bible tells us that it is received upon belief. That is a great verse and there are many we can turn to, but 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 is a wonderful, wonderful verse. It tells us about how God chose to save people. And here is the condition that must be met for you to be saved. If you have your Bible there, 2nd Thessalonians, coming right after 1 Thessalonians 2, verse 13.

Here it says, we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you, you to salvation. Now most people stop right there and they say, see God has chosen you to salvation. But then they don’t read on. There are two parts here through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. The part that we’re responsible for is belief of the truth. Christ is the way the truth and the life.

When we trust on Christ, we become saved. You notice the other part is sanctification of the Spirit. That has to do with God the Holy Spirit cleansing us, washing of our sins when we trust Christ as Savior. But our part is to believe. Even though we are saved, not conditionally, upon anything that we would do, there is one condition that must be met. The lost person must hear the words of the Son of God, the gospel message, and number too, they must believe that message or receive it, believing it.

And that’s exactly what we see here in the scripture. But to say that it doesn’t even mean that you have to believe. You see the Calvinist teaches that you don’t have to believe on Christ to be saved. God unconditionally chooses to save some. And then when they become saved, they believe as a consequence. Just as under total depravity, they say we are dead men, we cannot believe, we can’t do anything because we’re dead. And so in order to be saved, God saves us, and then we believe as a consequence.

Totally not true. The third point of Calvinism is called limited atonement. T-U-L-I-T, tulip. Limited atonement is the L in tulip. And this This one says that Christ died only for the elect, only for those that God elected to save. So in a sense it’s like the Lone Ranger. The Lone Ranger didn’t waste any bullets. He would put that silver bullet in the chamber in his gun and he never fired a bullet unless he intended to hit the target and he didn’t waste his bullets.

So basically this says that God didn’t waste any blood from Jesus Christ when he died. He only died for those that would believe. That is, of course, again, totally wrong. The Bible says in 1 John chapter 2 in verse 2 that Jesus is the propitiation. Now that’s a big word, but it means a satisfying sacrifice. So it says here that Jesus is the satisfying sacrifice, his death at Calvary, pleased God and satisfied God’s justice so that you and I that trust Christ the Savior can be saved.

So it says in 1st down 2-2, He is the satisfying sacrifice, the propitiation for our sins, but then notice clearly it says, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. There is limited Atonement right on the day. That is not true. The Christ only died for the light. Here it says, He did not only die for your sins and my sins who believe on Christ, but He died for the sins of the whole world.

Every man, woman, and child that would ever be born into this world, Christ died and paid for their sins. The fourth point of Calvinism is what is called irresistible grace. the eye in tulip stands for irresistible grace and what the Calvinist teaches is if you have been chosen, God will come upon you with His grace and you will not be able to resist it. You will be overcome and saved against your will. Well that again is not true, totally wrong.

And what is interesting is it teaches that the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you cannot resist the Holy Spirit. Let me just read to you from Acts chapter 7. Here we have Stephen, the first Christian martyr preaching, and he says to the audience that he is preaching to shortly thereafter killed him by stoning. He says, you stiff-necked verse 51 of Acts 7, and uncircumcised and heart and ears. You do always resist the Holy Spirit, as your fathers did.

So do you. So here Stephen says that people in the Old Testament, the Jewish A heritage from which they had come, their ancestry had resisted the Holy Spirit and rejected the Messiah. And they also were resisting the Holy Spirit and rejecting Jesus Christ as their Messiah. So point number one, total depravity, point number two, unconditional election, point number 3, Limited Tonement, Point Number 4, Irresistible Grace, all of them are wrong. If you take them to their fullness where they teach, that you and I cannot believe that God has made the choice for us.

The last one, the P and Tulip, stands for Perseverance of the Saints. This is supposedly the eternal security point, but it is again wrong. I am eternally secure, not because of what I do. They teach that you have to persevere to the end of your life, that if at any point you stop living or serving Christ, that you would obviously go to hell because you never had what they call saving faith. They say saving faith is a working faith, a faith that will persevere till the end of your life, that your life will improve and change in the favor of God.

That is not true. Look at Lot and many other examples in the Bible where Lot was saved, but he chose a life that went away from God. He went down, down, down, down, down, and fell finally. He lived really in one of the lowest spots on the face of the earth in the Dead Sea Jordan valley there, it’s the lowest spot on the face of the earth. But also spiritually it was the lowest spot on the earth because it was Sodom where they practiced Sodomy.

And Job, a rather lot, was a leader on the city council of the city of Sodom. He was a man that was not very spiritual, but yet he was saved. Peter tells us over in the New Testament that Lot was a righteous man, not by his works, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Lot was made righteous and Lot was saved. And so to say that your life has to change in a positive way. These people haven’t read 1st and 2nd Corinthians, I don’t think, because look at the craziness that was going on in the Corinthian church.

They were committing all types of sins as Christians, and these two lengthy letters, the longest letters written in the New Testament were written to admonish and to correct these believers in Corinth and get them back on track. In any case, God has not made your decision for you. You have the choice to accept or reject Jesus Christ as your Savior. When you believe the truth, when you trust Christ, God saves you and you’re saved forever. I’m Dr. Inker, Mr.

and Mrs. Bible and that was a quick summary of Calvinism. We can certainly go on for weeks on this topic, but hopefully that gets you going in the right direction. We’re going to take our phone callers now. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go to Harold in Tampa, Florida. Harold welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, sir. I have a quick question for you. Now, we’ll ask you two questions. In the Greek language, I guess when God’s name was translated, it was YHWH, what does those letters each letter mean in Greek and Hebrew?

And the other question now, the Jehovah Witness study from the, I think this New World translation and what, there’s some differences between the King James and the New World translation. Where did they get their sayings from and I’ll hang up and listen. Alright, thank you very much. First of all, the YHWH is from the Hebrew that is not in the Greek, and the word that First of all…

comes from that is God’s, it is His personal name. And we pronounce it either Jehovah as they did in 1611, or Yahweh, more recently that’s what most people have found as a popular pronunciation. We’re not really sure how to pronounce God’s name, but that is the name. The Greek language doesn’t have those words, but has words that are sometimes made equivalent. The Greek word korios translated Lord throughout the New Testament when it quotes the Old Testament where God’s personal name, the YHWH, is in the Hebrew.

It’s made equivalent to korios so that you can say oftentimes korios is really, which is an English lord and New Testament is really talking about Jehovah or Yahweh. Also, the New World Translation is obviously been tampered with in order to accommodate the Jehovah’s For example, in John 1-1 They add the article A. In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and they add and the word was A God. So the Jehovah’s Witnesses try to say that Jesus Christ was a created being, that he had a beginning.

And that means that he is not eternal and is not the eternal God that the Bible describes him to be. Now, this, of course, violates the very verse from which the Jehovah’s Witnesses get their name. When I talk to them, I’ll say, do you believe Jesus Christ is A God? And they’ll say yes. And they’ll confirm it by their New World Translation that it says that he was A God. Well, if you go back to Isaiah 43-10, this is the verse from which the Jehovah’s Witnesses get their name.

It says here, you are my witnesses, say, of Jehovah. Now he’s not talking here to the Jehovah’s Witnesses, which are really a Johnny Come, lately a false group. It’s talking to Israel in the context here, and the Jewish people were God’s Witnesses in the Old Testament. it says here, you are my witnesses, say, of the Lord and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am He. Then it says here, before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

So if you are going to be a true witness for Jehovah, you have to confess, according to this verse from which the Jehovah’s Witnesses get their name, that there was no God before Jehovah, nor would there ever be a God formed after Jehovah, so that makes Jehovah’s Witnesses false witnesses. And so I am able to tell them, the very verse from which you get your name declares that you are a false witness, because you are saying Jesus is a God, that there was a God formed after Jehovah.

So all of this says, if you are going to be my witnesses, you are going to say that there He was no God formed before me, that is Jehovah, and neither shall there be one formed after me.” And that’s what Jehovah is saying. And so the Jehovah’s Witnesses are false witnesses. I always like to say, would you like to meet a true Jehovah’s Witness? These are their eyes light up, and they sparkle a little bit, and they get excited, and I say, reach out your hand and shake my hand.

I am a true Witness for Jehovah. I declare that Jesus Christ is the same God as that of the Old Testament. He is Jehovah, he is Yahweh in human flesh, and you are a false witness because you declare that he is a God, a God that was created after Jehovah, and Jehovah says you are wrong, and you are a false witness. So hopefully that helps Harold, and thank you so very much for calling in today. All of our lines are lighted up, we will try to get to as many as we can.

We have Adam in Tampa, and Adam, welcome to Bibleline your On The Earth. My question is with the total of the poverty. I kind of struggle a little bit with that, just because the cost of Christ is foolishness to those who are perishing and also spiritually discerned. So my understanding is that the Holy Spirit, if you will, will lose you and then you understand the scripture that way. How can a non-spirit, somebody who doesn’t have the spirit understand the cost of the Christ?

Can you explain that? Of course, the Holy Spirit woozes us, Christ is seeking us, the Son of Van has come to seek in the same boat which is lost. God is of course involved and the whole of the Godhead is desirous. The Bible says that everybody that’s born in this world has the knowledge that there is a God, they may not know Christ, but they know there’s a Creator and that is the knowledge that God himself has placed within them.

So God is definitely working to bring the lost person to himself. But we find that the Word of God is living in powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. And it is the Word of God that brings life to one who hears the gospel message and receives it and believes it. And Jesus said that the lost person, the dead, can hear and the dead can respond to that message. Let me quote you a great verse from the book of James where it says here in James chapter 1 in verse 18, God of his own will begat us with the word of truth.

So there you have it, the word of truth, the word of God brings life to those that are spiritually dead and yes the Holy Spirit is involved, but it is our choice to respond and to receive and not everyone well, but the seeking person will find, and the one who is asking. We will find out the wonderful truth about how to be saved. Thank you, Adam. We are about out of time for this first half of Bibleline. We are going to come back and do a second half hour.

I sure hope that you will continue to listen for the second half hour. It is on the internet as well as on broadcast. By the way, Bibleline is Lister supported. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr.

Hank Lindstrom. Alright we’re back tonight breaking. This is Bibleline. It’s wonderful to be with you. Tuesday. We’re excited about being with you. We have lots of people waiting on the lines to get up on the air. Lots of all fair questions. We’ll try to take care of as many of those as we possibly can. We were just talking about the five points of Calvinism. As they are fully believed and embraced by people, I reject all five. Today we have people that are actually realizing that some of these are wrong.

So we have some people that are five point Calvinism. But now there are some that say, well, I’m a four-point Calvinist or some a three-point or two-point or one-point. I’m a zero-point Calvinist because I believe the five points are man-made I believe they disagree with scripture and they are wrong and if you want to get a CD about these kinds of teachings about Calvinism will answer all the difficult passages for you that that would be used to seemingly support the position that God has made the choice for you.

But God has not made the choice for you. God so loved the world. That’s the whole human race that he gave his only begotten son, that’s Jesus Christ, that whosoever anyone that would believe or trust Christ as Savior would not perish, but they would have everlasting life. Isn’t that great? It really is again by blind is listeners supported if you could help us this month of September. It would be appreciated We are just a miracle operation. We really shouldn’t be on the air and and It’s by the hand of the living God that we are because he raises up listeners just like you who?

Support us and that’s how we stay on the air. We don’t have any the reserve account. We don’t have any pledges or subscribers. We know nothing of that. We just pray every day, God, if you want Bible and to continue, we ask you to supply the needs. And so far we’ve been on the air and we are excited about what He is doing as we hear from people all the time that tell us of how Bible and is a blessing.

You can give Give a gift by credit card over the phone if you call in and talk to our operators. You can also give one by mail if you need an envelope with our address on it. Call in. We’ll be glad to mail you one. We certainly hope that you will take advantage. We’re going to go to Pace, Florida up in the panhandle of Florida. We have Mac in Pace, Florida on the line. Mac, welcome to my line. You’re on here.

Yes, sir. Thank you for taking my call. this week, the talk was about God forgiving sins. In the Old Testament, God says that He would bury our sins at the depths of the sea, or He would throw them behind His back and never see them anymore. But at the moment, the person gets saved and all his sins are forgiven. Absolutely, and forgiven and forgotten and gone forever. That’s as far as salvation is concerned. Now there are things that you and I can do that will bear consequences, not only as to what happens in this life, but also in the afterlife as far as rewards are concerned.

But as far as your salvation there, forgiven and forgotten forever. When you were born into your parents’ family, you had nothing to do with it. you came into the family, but how you live in the family after you become a child in God’s family will affect your fellowship, your walk with the Lord, and will affect how God blesses or doesn’t bless you and will affect your rewards and eternity. So definitely we don’t have a license to send. This is what so many who object to the true gospel will say.

They say, wow, you mean all you have to do is believe on Christ and then you’ll go to heaven and that’s true. your sins are forgiven and forgotten, but you cannot live as you please because God will discipline the delinquent believer and you’ll give an account one day for how you lived your life since you were saved and that will bring about an eternity of loss in the way of reward or an eternity of blessing from the rewards that God will bestow upon you for your faithful living for Christ after your saved.

So it’s true that your sins are forgiven as far as salvation is concerned forever. Well, thank you because you had quoted the verse, okay, so far you and I are in complete agreement. I’ve been saved for 41 years and that’s what I’ve learned. But the Apostle Paul talks about we should give an account for the things we’ve done in his body whether good or evil. And I know I’ve failed God and what I’m trying to say is some of the things that a Christian does, it works.

It’s the effects of those works. If a person fails to go on visitation, they have an opportunity to go, they should go, but they fail to go. If someone does not get saved and dies in their sins, then a guy can forgive, but either they’re not being on visitation. But if they’re already effect like I said. Well Ezekiel says his blood will be on your hands so obviously we’re to warn the lost and if we don’t Paul said in Acts 20 that he was free from the blood of all men because he was a faithful witness and continually shared it with everyone and did not hold it back so we really will have to give an account for that one day but once you’re saved though you’re saved forever and there’s no doubt about that you will never be lost.

But what we do and what we do and what we do not do will affect our life here. As the Bible says that living in a godly life not only brings promise of rewards and blessings here but also for eternity. It says that in Timothy where it tells us that godliness is profitable unto all things, having promised of the life it now is and of that which is to come. Well, thank you, Dr. Lindstrom. That’s, I wanted to make sure that we had that cleared up and, well, I’ll let someone else know on now.

Thank you. Okay. Thank you, Mac in Pace, Florida, for calling in today. We now have Lois in Paul Meadow, Florida, and Lois, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Yes, I have a question on tithing. I know you discussed this yesterday, some, but I’m still a little confused. A lot of the ministers today talk about that we should be tithing today us and that they always quote, you know, bring all the ties in the storehouse. I know that was helping in the Old Testament.

But they also quote in Matthew 23, 23, like, whoa, to you teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites, you give a tenth, which I presume is the ties of your spices, this, and all this, but you have neglected the more important matters of the law, justice, mercy, and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former. And Jesus was talking there. And I believe that that’s over in the New Testament. And then we look at Galatians 3, 28, where it tells we’re all one, you know, neither June or Gentiles, slavery, that we’re all one in Christ Jesus.

And I just wondered, didn’t that apply to us to all these things? I just wondered, what do you pick out in the Bible? Well, first of all, the passage you quoted there in Matthew was prior to the cross, the Jewish people were the ones he was addressing and they were still under the law and he talked about that and that very version quoted. So they were to observe the white-ear matters of the law as well as the things that were not quite so important and so that was under the law but under grace now we’re no longer under the law and so we give and we are obligated to give but not because of the law demanding it.

It says I like 2 Corinthians 9 the whole chapter is pretty much about giving and it says here he did so sparingly, verse 6, shall reap sparingly. He did so bountifully, shall reap bountifully. So here’s the law of sowing and reaping applied to giving. So if you just give a little bit, you’re going to only have a little bit of blessing or a little bit of investment in heaven. When you get to heaven one day is you’re to lay up treasures in heaven.

Then it says in verse 7, every man according as he purposed within his heart so let him give. So notice every man is obligated to give and we need to make a conscious decision and it doesn’t tell us how much here. And I like Dr. Charles Ryrie’s book, Balancing the Christian Life and he said just to get out of the tithe mentality, why don’t you give 9.5% or why don’t you give 10.5% or 11% some other number so that you’re out of that, but you’re doing it deliberately, consciously making a choice on your end to give to the Lord a certain percentage of what God has blessed you with.

Then it says here, don’t give grudgingly, which you may have under the Old Testament Law, you are required by law to do it, or of necessity, sometimes in a church they’ll beat you over the head with all the needs that they have that they want you to give to you get this fund and that fund and the other fund and there’s funds everywhere to give to you. But it goes on to say in the last phrase, God loves a cheerful giver.

The word cheerful means from the Greek hilarious that we just love to give, that we want to give to the award. And it’s just… In our hearts to do that because we love Him. And this is New Testament giving. And so we should give, if you want to give 10%, that’s the choice you could make but you’re not giving it as under the law. So it’s really not the Old Testament time, but it’s a free will giving from the heart and expression of your love for the Lord and what He did for you back in chapter 8.

And also it’s talking about giving here and he talks to them about giving. And He says here, as you give you prove the sincerity of your love. And so when you are giving it’s a demonstration really that you love the Lord and you’re doing it because you want to and nobody’s requiring it of you not even the Lord, it’s your choice. But we’re not under the tithe. No we’re not. We’re not. But you know so many things and that most of the time they were talking to the Jewish people in the New Testament and you wonder what is for the Jews and what is for the Gentiles or is it for all of us to do these things or what?

Everything changed once Christ died. The Jewish people now as a nation have been set aside for the past 2000 years and God now has turned to us the Church, the body of Christ, which is comprised of Jews and Gentiles. So when Jewish people get saved, I have a number of people in my church that are Jewish and they know Jesus as their Savior. And they’re under the Psalms, same obligations as you and I as Gentile believers in this New Testament age.

But the time is coming when the rapture happens that God is going to go back to dealing with Israel again and preparing them to receive their Messiah and they’ll be back under the Old Testament law. They’ll rebuild their temple in Jerusalem, they’ll offer animal sacrifices again. They’ll be practicing the tithe, observing the Sabbath, and all these things will be back online once the Rapture happens. But right now, we’re under the age of grace. It’s called the Church Age, the Dispensation of Grace, a lot of terms that refer to the time period that began at Pentecost that will end the Rapture.

So in this time, whether you’re Jewish or Gentile and you’ve trusted Christ, you’re under those rules of the New Testament Church. Thank you, Dr. Liz, and that clears it up for me. Well, beautiful. And thank you so much for your program. We listen every day. Wonderful. Thank you, Lois. That’s Lois, Dan, and Paul, Meadow, Florida. And we’re now going to Janice in Tampa, Florida. Janice, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Hello? Hi, Janice. Hi. Good morning. Good morning.

Yes. I’m going to have three questions to ask. I’m going to angle up on it. You answer me. What is do you believe in such a thing as generational curse? And do God punish persons for doing things wrong even before they’re stable after? And then what do you believe in by gambling or lack of? There’s two questions that are missing third one. No, that’s generational curse. like in terms of if you do something wrong, it’s got, you know, punishes you for doing something wrong, it’s the second one.

And the third one is gambling or buying a loss of? Okay. Thank you. And I’ll answer those off air for you. The generational curse, yes, the Bible talks about in the Old Testament in Exodus 20 about how the curses go down to the fourth generation of those that sin against the Lord. And I believe that is really true. But I think the curse can be broken at any time. My family was unsaved and my grandparents were unsaved, but the gospel intercepted my family through my sister who got saved.

And then she worked on me and got me saved. And then two of us got my parents and my other brother and my other sister saved. Then our whole family went after the rest of the relatives and we just turned the whole ball game around. And the getting saved just can cut off that generational curse. I’ve seen this many times with witchcraft. If a family has practiced witchcraft, the children will have the demonic influence around them and will influence them and on down to their children.

They need to get saved and then they can get delivered from that. When we sin as believers, yes, the Lord says He will chase us. That doesn’t always mean that He has to actually afflict us with something. Sometimes He just gets our attention. If you’re a parent… A child does something wrong. Sometimes you can just look at them and they know that they’re in trouble and they straighten up and you don’t have to really do much more. But if a child then rebelliously doesn’t act upon your look or your quiet soft reprimand, then you might have to put them in timeout or you might have to actually give them a spanking.

But in some cases Believers are just like that there they sometimes the Lord can just kind of give you that nod that hey You’re doing something wrong here. You need to straighten up if we don’t then he might have to get more severe and the Bible talks about the Lord Chasing and the Hebrews 12 six that means disciplining and Obviously we need to be aware that if we don’t respond it says there are Nskerges. Now, scourging was very painful.

That was where they take the whip across your back. So God might have to scourge you if you don’t respond to his chasing which is more a gentle form of God’s nudging you in the right direction. But if you’re not nudgeable and you’re not willing to cooperate with God then he might have to scourge you which is not present at all. That’s the whipping across the back. So Hebrews 12, 6, and it says in verse 11, no chasing for the present seemed to be joyous but grievous, but nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteous living to the one exercised thereby.

The last question is about gambling, about the lotto and so on, and you know you can just throw your money away. There’s nothing in the Bible says you cannot gamble, but these all are things that can become an addiction. So if you have money to throw away, you can throw it away. But obviously we need to be wise investors of our money. And if you are obviously taking grocery money off the food off the table of your family, or you’re taking away money that would go to the pay the rent or the mortgage, obviously then you are sinning.

So it really is that. And obviously there’s no definite rule in the Bible that says thou shalt not. But there are principles in the Bible. And if you think you’re going to get rich quickly by some, and people are conned all the time with these kinds of schemes, then you’re probably going in the wrong direction because the Bible says that he’s going to honor our labor and reward our hard work and our effort. And if you’re expecting to get rich quickly, oftentimes you’ll be deceived and disappointed.

Hopefully that answers all your questions. Thank you for calling. We now have George and Palm Harbor and George, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah, good morning. I have two quick questions. One is Eddie had fallen and Revelation 12 is that he was thrown out and a gentleman thought he had you answer that Satan was never in heaven. Well, that’s true. Satan lived here on the earth, but in Genesis 1-1 he was ruler over this earth. In verse 2 he had made an attempt to overthrow heaven.

Isaiah 14, 13 and 14 describes the five eye wills of Satan. His attempted departure from the earth to overthrow heaven and he was cast back down to the earth from heaven. So he didn’t live there but he tried to overthrow it and was cast back and he was there at one time. No, he never was there but he was on the way there and he fell back down from that attempted invasion of heaven. Then in Revelation 12 and you’re talking about verse 9 there, Satan will be in conflict with Michael, the Archangel and all the angels of God and Satan and his angels will fight and that’s a fight over the atmospheric heaven around the earth.

As Satan is now according to Ephesians 2, the prince of the power of the air, and he will lose control over the airspace around the earth in the middle of the tribulation. That takes place exactly if you note carefully in chapter 12 of Revelation midway through the tribulation period. And then at the end of the seven-year tribulation period, he loses control of the earth as well and is bound up in the heart of the earth for a thousand years or Christ rules here on this earth.

So basically the tribulation period is basically an outline of how the way will be prepared for Christ to come back and rule on this planet. And even the military strategy today, the first thing you take out is the control of the air. You know, when we went into Iraq back in 91, we came in there and of course they got their radar and took out all their planes right on the runways, and so we had total control over the air space.

And that’s usually what happens in any more. You take out the control over the air and then you go in on the ground. And that’s exactly what’s going to happen when the tribulation period takes place halfway through. God sends Michael. With a strike force of all God’s angels and takes on Satan and takes over control of the atmosphere on the earth. Okay. And also on repent, you said that God repented eighty-six percent of the time. I was talking to a guy and he said he couldn’t find him.

He’s a preacher that repented it all. Well, in Genesis 6 it says he repented God that he made man. You know, the whole world became corrupted in days of Genesis. And God said he was not too happy about what happened there. So he destroyed everybody. except the one family of Noah. But any concordance will show it to you, but of the 43 times the English word repent occurs. It’s the equivalent word of the word used in the New Testament in the Greek, and 37 of those 43 times it is God who repents not man.

Only six times it’s man who repents. There’s another three times the English word repent occurs in the Old Testament, bringing us to a total of 46 times. But that word is the Hebrew word shuv, S-H-U-V, and it’s translated 650 times as turn from sin, and should never have been translated as repent, because it’s not the same word at all. Okay, but repent is not used though, right? The English word repent is there, and it says that God repents or doesn’t repent.

Yeah. Okay, so Genesis 6? That’s one of the places, is I have a whole sheet, if you go to the internet and look up my articles, look under a study sheet on repentance and I list every time repent occurs in the entire Bible old and New Testament alike and I show how the words are used what they come from in the Hebrew and Greek and what they mean and how they’re used and that’ll be you know save you all the work but you can get it if you have it like a strongness in accordance or a young’s concordance you can look at all up for yourself and he said he looked in the strong concordance and he didn’t look very well.

All you have to do is look in the Old Testament and repent or the different phrases, you know, the expressions of it. And you’ll find the Hebrew word from which it came. So it feels good. It has some great notes on repentance in the Old and New Testaments. Take a look at that. Okay. Well, thank you. All right. Thank you for calling in again. Repentance is a bad translation of the Greek word and the Hebrew word from the original.

That’s unfortunate. It’s caused a lot of confusion. The Greek word is metanoia. It means a change of mind. And when you get saved, you do change your mind. And so, biblical repentance means that change of mind that occurs when you trust Jesus as your Savior. We have Tony and Largo. Tony, you’re on the air. Hi. Good morning, Hank. Thank you for taking my call. I have a couple of questions for The first question is regarding 2nd Corinthians chapter 15.

Okay. All speeches. Yes. Yes. Now, did the commonly- Yes. Okay, now I’ve heard it said that in 1988 was- Oh no, that’s totally wrong. The church age doesn’t end till we’re up in heaven with the Lord, it’s the rapture. And so as long as I’m still here, the church age hasn’t ended. as long as you’re here for your believer uh… it has an end okay because i like i think that you can’t be here in that from herald camping well he’s he’s off i think you need to forget listening the church is still going on but it does say that there would be uh…

this departure from sound doctrine in the churches in the last days and and obviously uh… not every church has uh… fall into that but But a lot of churches today have left the Bible and are entertaining people to get them in. That’s what the Bible said would happen. Rather than entertainment, we had to be really teaching and preaching God’s Word. 2 Timothy chapter 4, you ought to read it. Paul tells us what it would be like in the last days and he admonishes us all to preach the Word, be instant in-season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all own suffering doctrine because in the last days they would not endure sound doctrine but then we would want to have their ears tickled and so they would depart away from the truth and be turned on the loiser fables.

I have to run. I hate to cut you off, but we’re at the very end of the program. We’ll be back again tomorrow. Tomorrow will be Wednesday. I hope you’ll join me tomorrow here on Bibleline. If you go to the internet, you can join me 24-7 and hear these programs again and again. Again, I want to thank all of you who pray for and give the Bibleline. Your gifts make this program possible, and I’m appealing to those of you that are listening to help us out.

We could really use your help here in the next video. In this month of September you can give a gift by credit card over the phone if you’ll just call us. You can also ask for an envelope to be mailed to you with our address and send a gift to Bibleline, but we sure could use your help when we ask you to pray for it. If you can help us, that would be wonderful. We have to run, keep looking up, Jesus is coming and I hope that you have a wonderful day and Lord willing, if we’re still here, we’ll be back with you on Bibleline tomorrow.

Well then again God bless and keep looking up Jesus is coming and I believe very soon. Tampa, Florida. Alright, well thanks again for tuning in today. I’m not going to get to the end of the video. I’m Dr. Inclins from the Ciphybal Ironberg coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We’ve enjoyed being with you today. Thank you so much for tuning in and I hope you’ll help us grow our audience by telling your friends about the programs.

And it doesn’t matter whether they live in the world. If they have internet, they can catch these programs after convenience from wherever they are at any time of day or night. Not exciting. I was talking to a fellow this morning and he said he was listening to Bibleline last night on the internet. Not exciting. It really is. And we have listeners all across the United States that are listening on the internet. And we have one that listens regularly from out in Texas and he called me over the weekend to tell me that he took that CD that I have, how permanent is your salvation, which is such a wonderful CD got us used that message to win many people to Christ and also give them a good foundation.

He said that he had talked to five pastors who believe that they could lose their salvation and now they all believe they cannot lose their salvation. They got their doctrine straight and that CD was a tool. A lot of the CDs and resources we have here really do powerfully impact people and we’re excited about getting preachers saved. Preachers on track. You know, we have led a lot of preachers to Christ on Bibleline. That’s right. Not everybody in the pulpit knows Christ is their Savior.

Isn’t that sad for their congregations? But how we can rejoice when they get saved and are preaching good clear doctrine to their congregations? What a blessing that is. We have people that listen in the jails and are having Bible studies and getting other prisoners to listen to Bible and isn’t that exciting? What a thrill. It is that we can reach out and reach to people that really need to hear it and are searching and seeking and bring that message to them.

In any case, if you could help my blind call us and give a gift by credit card, would you? Or mail a gift to Bible and we could use your help. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. God willing we’ll be back tomorrow. Until then, again, keep looking up. Jesus is coming and I believe very soon.
