As I give the message, you’ll be able to watch and hear the message. We do have the Gospel of John series. We just finished available 20 hours of teaching on CD and also we have a DVD series of that where you have the audio and video. I think you’ll We broke the John up into two parts because it’s lengthy and the first part is for gift of fifty dollars and the second part is a gift of fifty dollars. So a hundred dollars gets the whole set but you can do it piecemeal so that you don’t have to do it all at one time.

Also we want you to get into your Bible and join us as we study the Word of God. We’re going to turn to Revelation 22 and here we have a couple of interesting verses that cause people some concern because they don’t quite figure out what’s going on here. In Revelation chapter 22 it says in verse 18, For I testify unto every man that hereeth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book. This is not really talking to saved people about being lost. That’s oftentimes what people get confused here. You have to read the context and you’ll note here, this is the final invitation of God. As he closes out the Bible, he invites men to become saved.

In verse 17, you have that incredible invitation. So if you have your Bible there, look at 22.17 where it says, and the Spirit, that is the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Godhead, the eternal Holy Spirit, the Spirit and the bride say, come. And of course the bride is the church. It’s the body of believers that commenced at Pentecost and will be completed and then raptured out at the event of the rapture. and the Spirit and the bride say, come to be saved.

Nothing has to be done on your part or mind. We simply come and receive it. The work of salvation is finished at the cross, and it was at the cross that everything was paid for. I love it all him at the cross, at the cross. That’s where Jesus died and shed his blood and paid our sin dead and full, and he claims Just before he dies, it is finished. Our sin debt was paid in full. And then it goes on to say, and let him that hereth say come.

Again, the invitation is simply to come because all things have been made ready. All things are already done. The work of salvation has been completed. Christ finished that work on the cross when he died. And it says here, and let him that is a thirst come. Again we see that word come three times. C-O-M-E, come, come, come. Just simply come. And then it says, and whosoever will let him take of the water of life freely. Salvation is free, my friend.

It’s been purchased at a great price. It cost the life of Jesus Christ. He gave his life, God who came and took on human flesh, gave his life up on the cross of Calvary to pay for your sin and mine. And all we need to do is come. I love that hymn. Just as I am, I come without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me. There’s nothing for me to do, but simply come. There’s nothing I can bring in my hand and say, Lord, here, take this so that I can be saved.

I want to give you a gift so I can be saved, or I want to pay so I can be saved, or I want to do so I can be saved. You can’t bring anything. You just simply come. Come, come, come, it says here, and whosoever will let him take of the water of life freely. Salvation is a gift. So in that context of God’s final invitation, as he closes out the book, he gives us one more chance to be invited to be saved.

come, he says, come, all you have to do is come and I’ll save you. And that’s what Jesus said in Matthew 11, 28, come unto me, all ye that labored are heavy laden, and I’ll give. It’s a gift. I’ll give you rest, and it’s free. Verse 18 says, I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. The book of Revelation and the Bible is all about Jesus. If you read chapter 1 it says in verse 1 of Revelation 1, the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Let me go back and see if I get this quote right. It says, excuse me, the Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto Him to show to his servants. So, we find you the book is about revealing Christ and who he is. So what this is saying in chapter 22 here is that if we take away from Christ and the message concerning Christ, then you will not be saved. And so, if you add anything or take away from it, you will have made the message void.

Satan talks about adding So many people add to it. I talked to a caller yesterday that called in and said that there had to be more to it than simply trusting Christ. And he added a lot of different works telling me that you had to do this and I had to do that and had to do the other. He said that the Teach that you were saved just by faith in what Christ accomplished for us. for us was not correct.

He said, common sense would tell you that. Well, common sense is not what counts. It’s what God’s Word says. And God’s Word says that only Christ can bring about salvation. So if you add, let’s say you add baptism. It’s all it would take. Church membership. That’s all it would take. Changing your life. Turning from sin. If you add anything what Christ did. My friend, you won’t be saved. That’s really what is at stake here. If you are trusting in anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ alone, you will not be saved.

And so it says, if any man here add under these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. The worst plague is the one described in chapter 14, it is the plague of being cast into hell. If you die without Christ, my friend, you’ll be cast into the everlasting lake of fire. It says that the smoke of your torment will go up forever and ever. It says that you’ll have no rest, day and night, forever and ever.

It’s obviously not a place where you want to go. First 19 goes on the same. If any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy. If you take away from Christ if you deny His deity as the cults all do. They all reject the deity of Christ and if you are a member of a cult and deny the deity of Christ you will not be saved. It says in 1 John 2, 23, He that denyeth the son, the same hath not the Father.

Boy, the Jehovah’s Witnesses need to learn that verse. the others who deny the deity of Christ need to check that out. If you don’t accept the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as God who took on flesh, then you don’t have the Father. So you’re fatherless, you’re Jehovahless, or Yahweh-less, you’re without God, and you will not be saved, you will not enter heaven. So it says here, if any man take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the book of life.

Most people get the teaching on the book of life wrong. Everybody’s name is in the book to begin with because God died to pay for everyone’s sins. Potentially everyone can be saved. It is God’s intention that none would perish. It tells us in 2 Peter chapter 3 in verse 9 that it is God’s will not that all would come to a change of mind to repentance and that none should perish that they would all be saved. And so it’s saying here that if you die as an unbeliever then your name will be taken out of the book.

But Revelation 3.5 tells us at the moment you believe God makes a promise to the believer that your name will never come out of the book. So in other words, my name is there forever now because I’ve accepted Christ as my Savior as a result God promises I will not want out your name out of the book of life But if you die as an unbeliever at death your name will be taken from the book That means you will not go to heaven and then also it says here He will take away your part out of the holy city in other words you’ll never live in the New Jerusalem, the city of the living God, where all believers will live forever and ever and ever.

My friend, if you change, the plan of salvation is what it’s saying here. If you add to what Christ said and did, or if you take away from what Christ said and did, you will not be saved. You have to accept the Jesus of the Bible. You know the Bible warns about Satan is so clever in 2 Corinthians chapter 11 and talks about somebody might come along and preach to you another Jesus. It warns us you better be careful because the Jesus of the witnesses is not the Jesus of the Bible.

The Jesus of Mormonism is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Jesus of the Seventh Adventist is not the Jesus of the Bible. the Jesus of the The Christian scientist is not the Jesus of the Bible. And you know, the Jesus of Roman Catholicism is not the Jesus of the Bible. Now that allowed to get some people excited here, but let me just tell you, the Jesus of the Bible says that there’s nothing you can do to be saved but trust in his finished work at the cross.

Many are teaching a Jesus that says you have to work and you have to be baptized and you have to keep the commandments. That is a falsehood. That is not true. The Jesus of the Bible says simply come. I paid it all. He says in John 14, 6, I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. life. He, the belief on me, has everlasting life. It’s very, very clear that Jesus said there’s nothing that we can do to be saved, but to simply trust in the finished work that He finished at the cross.

So if you’re Jesus tells you that you have to be baptized, it’s not the Jesus of the Bible. If you’re Jesus tells you you have to live the Christian life to be saved. That’s not the Jesus of the Bible. It’s a subtle thing. I’ll tell you, the devil is clever and the Bible gives a final warning here. Don’t change what the word says. Don’t add to it or take away from it. You need to receive what God has said within His Word.

I’m Dr. Inclins from This is Bible. I’m going to go to the phone lines and I want to thank you all for listening today and telling your friends about the program. We’re We’re going to go first to Texas, again that number is 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go to Anonymous in Texas. Welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Dr. How are you doing? I want to ask you a question about any conversation that I had with a pastor.

He used to be a patient that announced it. Now he’s an orator. But he recently brought us something to me as it retanks to a covenant. It stops in a covenant with me. He mentioned pain. He was asking about entering incidents of covenant later on today. but you know I just had questions about it and I don’t know what it what all isn’t tilled in it but it just sounds a little skeptical I guess you could say but you know the main focus of it was that my enemies would be his enemies and his enemies would be my enemies and you know there was gonna be a strange of the right shoe and prayer.

So do you know anything about this or are you able to I I think it’s unbiblical. I would stay away from that. By the way, when you said he’s anointed, everybody was anointed. So I don’t think we ought to ever think that a minister is anointed, every genuine believer is anointed, and the Bible tells us that in 1 John chapter 2. The question is, if he’s saved, he’s anointed, is he saved? I hope that’s what that means. And then to try to get you to enter into some type of a covenant where you’re going to switch shoes or something else, I think is unbeknownst to God.

I would say, away from all that, that sounds like more an occult type practice. And I would, I would try to do that. Nowhere in the New Testament does it tell us to do anything like that. The covenant that God made with us, considering our salvation, is one that Christ that He paid for all of our sins, that our part is simply to receive it. And when we receive it by faith, we’re saved. And that’s it. There’s nothing else for us to enter into.

are saved forever by his death and then we ought to serve him out of gratitude and war and rewards in heaven. Okay. Okay. So you’ve never heard anything about it, anything of a shoe or prayer or anything like that? Nope. Nope. Okay. I would run from that. I think it sounds crazy. You know, that’s a rule of thumb. Absolutely. Faith is the noun form of the word postuo from the Greek, and believe is the verb form. So the translators sometimes cause us some problems that way because people don’t realize it’s the same Greek word.

And if you look up that Greek word postuo, it means to trust, to rely upon, to put your confidence in, to rest your weight upon, and so on, and so on. So faith is really placing your trust in Jesus. And as it says there in Hebrews, it gives substance to things that you haven’t seen yet. When we believe the words of Christ that will live in heaven with Him, obviously it’s real, it’s going to happen. And according to the Bible, it’s believing that that is gonna happen.

when we trust the Christ 9th force that gives us assurance and gives us a peace of mind that we know that our future is safe and secure. So it’s really a semanical problem sometimes because the Greek word pistillo, the verb form is believe, the noun form is translated faith, it’s the same word. I have one more question about angels and the old and the new customer. When we see angels, well not necessarily angels, but when we hear about angels in the Old Testament, especially, should we assume that it’s probably Jesus Christ manifest Himself as an angel?

The angel of the Lord in the Old Testament in every case is a preincarnate appearance of Jesus Christ. Christ. If you have your Scofield Bible that has a wonderful series of notes on that, and you’ll find that when God appeared to Moses at the burning bush, the angel of the Lord appeared to him, and you’ll notice when he speaks, he claims that he is God. So he is clearly God in human flesh. And manifestation of God before Christ ever came.

And we find that is true throughout the entire Old Testament. But in addition to that, there are angels which are God’s creation, which are spirit beings that will live forever and ever and ever. And there are God’s angels which are the ones that did not fall Satan and then there are in our Satan’s Angels, which are the ones who followed Satan in his rebellion. Okay. And also, I listened to you quite a bit, and I’m not able to see some of the things that you see.

And I was wondering, do you have any kind of schooling that you could put anybody through, or how do I get to see things the way that you’re seeing it? Just stay To stay in the Bible for a long time, I’ve been in the Bible a long time. I’ve taught it three different Bible colleges. I’ve taught 11 years for Moody Bible. I’ve had my own Bible college for 11 years. But I’ll tell you what, if you get my teaching series on CDs of the different books of the Bible, I don’t think you’re going to get anything better anywhere in the country.

What we need is we need to know the Word of God. you’re going to be able to preach and tell people what God has said. You obviously have to know what God has said for yourself and it’s in the book. The Bible is the Word of God and that’s what you have to be. So you’re on the right track. Alrighty, well look, I’m going to let you go. Thank you sir. Thank you. We’re now going to go to National Tennessee and we have Jimmy on the line.

Jimmy, welcome to the Bible and you’re on the air. How are you doing Dr. Hank? Good. Dr Hank, my question is, you know, the teaching of Calvinism, I was just wanting to know that John Calvin, did he actually teach the five points of Calvinism itself or was that just something the man attitude over the years? I think that’s what he taught, but he didn’t teach it as five points. I think it was developed later as people summarized his teaching.

Calvinism is obviously attributed to John Calvin, so it’s obviously his teachings, but it basically says that you and I don’t have a choice. Whatever is going to happen has been determined by God before the foundations of the world, and you are not saved unless he chooses you to be saved, and it is with disregard even to your belief. So according to a Calvinist, you might say you believe on Christ, but if he has elected you to be saved, you go to hell.

I just can’t come up with my opinion. I’ve talked to people that’s involved in Calvinism. I mean, again, I might be wrong, but I just cannot comprehend that God would, you know, bring the person into the world and, you know, say, well, you know, this group over here, they got a year of the legs. So you’re going to be saved, but this group over here, you’re not a leg. So it don’t matter what you do, you’re still going hell.

I have a hard time. Well, I do too. And, you know, I think it’s just confered. to what scripture teaches. As I mentioned, Dale Moody a lot, he says the Whosoever wills of the elect and the Whosoever won’t, so the non-elect. John 3 16 teaches election, but God elects to say those that would believe in Christ, whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish but have eternal life. But the converse is also true that whosoever would not believe in Christ would perish and not have everlasting life.

So election is there, is based upon our choice that God has given to us. Thank you Jimmy. Well thank you Dr. Hank, I appreciate it. Okay Jimmy in National Tennessee calling in. We’re on there on the NQM and thank you for tuning in. I’m Dr. Eggless. We have to go to break. We’re about ready to take our break here. Keep your Bible handy and your radio right there.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Thanks for tuning in today to the Bible and program. We’re coming to you out of Tampa from our studios at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. We’d love to have you drop by. The third Sunday is always a dinner Sunday and that’d be a great Sunday to come if you’re in driving distance.

But we’re also having a baptism and water baptism does not save anyone. You can be baptized with water and still go to hell. The only way he can be saved is to simply trust Christ and his finished work, his death and shed blood at the cross. The Bible tells us then that it is his blood that washes away our sin. Revelation 1 5 says unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Water is merely symbolic and it is a way of visibly giving a testimony to how you have been cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ, but water will not take away your sin.

We could anchor people out in the Pacific, or the Atlantic, and let them sit there for years that it wouldn’t take away a single sin. Jeremiah, chapter 2 in the Old Testament says, even if you took strong soap, you could not wash away your sin. Your iniquity would still be marked before God. So it’s only the blood. And the hymn writer got that right when he He said, what can wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood.

Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. But we do believe that believers ought to be water baptized and we’re going to have a service on the 21st of this month at 3 in the afternoon. And if you come, it’s a dinner day and we would love to have you name on the list. And I’d be honored to be able to do your baptism on the 21st of October Sunday afternoon Unit 3. Call and inquire or get your name on the list and be great.

Also we’re thinking about another trip we should know probably in the next few days and then we’ll have brochures that will tell you the total itinerary. It’ll be the last week of February in the first week of March. The weather will be great. It’ll be trip number 15 for me and we’ll go and be talking about the Bible all day long. And every site will open the scriptures and talk about what happened there from the Bible. What a study.

What an event. It’s life changing. I know that about everybody that went this past year came back changed from the trip. It’s really powerful. So you might want to get on our prospect list. That means we’ll keep you informed. It doesn’t commit you, but to simply get information from us about the upcoming trip in the year 2008 at the end of February. So keep that in mind. Also, we are listeners supported. If you can help us here, your prayers are really appreciated.

We don’t minimize that at all. And also, we know that your financial help will assure that we stay on the air. And if you could help us, that would be great. Send a gift by mail or call us and get our operators to take your gift by credit card. And that would be great. Get a resource list and look at our resources. and also look at it on the online bookstore on our website, BibleLineMinistries.org, and you can also give a gift there to Bibleline.

While we’re going to Orange City, Florida, we have George on the line waiting, and George, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. If I have two questions, sometime back I heard a message that the Red Hepper was available and that was a sign of the coming of the Second Coming of the Lord. If it was explained, I missed the reason for it and the scripture. So I wonder if you could say what, if you know that. The other question I have is on the, as I understand judges, it covers the area from the death of Joshua until the time that Saul became the first king.

And I remember very little about it, but it seems to me that Samson and Gideon and Rebecca mentioned, not Rebecca, but never mentioned in there. And I really wondered what it… You could tell me in a brief saying what the message we should get out of a judge is so confusing to me. Okay. Well, George, first about the Red Heifer, right now Israel has imported Red Heifer. A lot many of them from the United States and from Texas. They have now a herd of around 3,000 Red Heifers and they’re hoping to get a perfect Red Cow.

If you read Numbers 19 it talks about the Red Heifer being necessary to start the sacrificial system that will happen after the Rapture during the tribulation period. A third temple will be rebuilt and in order to purify the temple and the object of worship and the priest and so on, they needed to take a Red Heifer and offer it up and take its ashes and mix it with pure spring water and then sprinkle that on the priests and on the temple and on the objects of worship.

And that would ceremonially cleanse it so that it could be used then in the sacrificial system could begin again. So you might want to read that and of course if they have a red perfect red cow they’re not announcing it right now because I know that the Muslims would love to kill that cow if they could if they had one. So I’m sure they’re going to keep it a top secret, but they’re trying. They’ve got a herd of three thousand hoping that one of them will breed a perfect red cow that could be used for the sacrifice.

So keep that in mind. Judges was a dark time in history and you’ll see that Israel was flip-flopping all over the place. They were, you know, when things got bad, they turned to God and when things got good they turned away from God and that was what the judges are all about. It really tells us that we need to keep our eyes on the Lord and we need to love the Lord and serve Him with all our hearts and not to get sidetracked.

I think Proverbs 3, 5, and 6 says it as best as I’ve ever seen it. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. We’re living in a dark time in the United States right now. I think we’ve gone away from God. We’ve kicked God and the Bible out of the schools, out of the courthouse, out of our public life. And it’s scary.

And I think that we’re headed toward judgment. And that’ll happen, I believe, right after the Rapture where I think God will judge the world and including the world who include America because we have really turned our backs on the Lord. And it’s a lesson that we could see what happens in Judges that is probably going to happen to us, I think shortly. I’m scared for America. I’m not scared for me. I’m going to heaven and I’m going to be raptured out.

But boy, I tell you, our country is departed severely. you know from our early days where the Bible was our textbook, the only textbook in our first school is now not even allowed in the school at all. So that’s a tragedy. It really is. Thank you George and I hope that answered your questions a little bit. We’re now going to go to Sean in Richmond, Virginia. Sean, welcome to Bibleline your On The Air. Yes, sir, the question about Luke 10 verse, let’s see, it’s verse in 25 where the guy’s asking now is one of the therapies asking about how to inherit eternal life and Christ tells him that actually what do you think?

And he says that, you know, obeying the first law. I’m wondering if I could see how people could use that verse to think that, you know, works required for salvation, with the explanation that why did Christ give the explanation of saying that we should look at the God with all of our hearts instead of giving it a saying that you’re not accepting in a Savior. Well what he’s doing there, he’s using the law the way the law was intended to be used.

What is… According to the Bible, the law in Galatians 3.24 is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. When we see ourselves in the mirror of the law, we find ourselves condemned, we find ourselves cursed, and we find ourselves in need of a Savior. And then the Bible says in Galatians 3.25, after that faith in Christ is come, we’re no longer under the law or under the schoolmaster. In other words, the law reveals to us the severity of the condition that we’re in.

It says in Galatians 3 10, cursed is everyone that is trying to be saved by the law because the law condemns you. So basically no one has ever been able to keep the law. 7 Christ had it, did not Moses give you the law yet? None of you have kept it? No one has ever kept the law, so no one has ever been able to be saved by law, but Christ was trying to point out, to this self-righteous man that He needed a savior, and in order to get him to see that He was not righteous, as the Biblemind says there was 64 or 6 are righteous acts, our filthy ragsing God site.

He used the law to try to bring Him to that. Meh no one has ever kept the law, so no one has ever been able to be saved by the law. But Christ was trying to point out to this self-righteous man that he needed a Savior and in order to get him to see that he was not righteous as the Bible system, Isaiah 64, 6-hour righteous acts are filthy rags in God’s sight. He used the law to try to bring him to that.

that. In Matthew 19 is much clearer when you read. You read the passage there and obviously the young man said that he had kept all the law and of course that was a lie. He was really self-deceived. But again salvation is not by keeping the law. It’s by trusting Christ who is the end of the law for righteousness. If you read Romans 10 and 4 it says there that Christ is the end of the law or the result of what the law demands for you and me.

When we trust Christ as Savior, we become righteous based upon Christ who is righteous, dying in our place, and He taking our sin and crediting our account with His righteousness. So the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us in Christ. When we trust Christ, God sees us as righteous. I hope that helps a little bit, but I would read the passage in Matthew 19. It’s clearer than the one in Luke. Now we have Ken in Clearwater, Florida and Ken, welcome to Bibleline your own year.

Well, good morning Hank. I have a question for you regarding, I’ve been doing a sort of a weird study about the name of God, third commandmentist and Jehovah by those names instead of the Tentachramatron and I know it’s just a bunch of… Well, you know, nobody really knows how to pronounce God’s name. In the Old Testament it is for consonants, Y-H-W-H, and the Jews because they didn’t want to break the commandment that says I was not taking the name of the Lord like I didn’t name didn’t pronounce it for thousands of years.

So the pronunciation was lost. There are no vowel sounds and there are no punctuation marks. So we guessed at it. So if you want to take the word of some of the recent scholars, they put an A and an between the YHWH and YHWH. And prior to that in 1611 they took the vowels from Adonoy, another word for Lord in the Old Testament, and they made it three syllables, YAHovah. But in the case it’s the same four consonants. I think nobody does for sure we might all be wrong in how to pronounce God’s name.

But that word YHWH is connected with another word for salvation, Yasha, Y-A-S-H-A, and the contraction is Yeshua. So Yeshua really is in English translated Jesus. So Yeshua occurs in the Old Testament over 130 times. Jesus is in the Old Testament and we simply just need to put the English equivalent next to Yeshua and we have Jesus 130 times in the Old Testament. And obviously Peter knew that and taught that in Acts 10, 43, he says to Yeshua or in English Jesus, give all the prophets witness.

the writers of the Old Testament that whosoever believeth in Him should receive the remission of their sins. So when you believe in Yeshua, which is Jesus, your sins are forgiven and all the Old Testament prophets taught that according to Peter in Acts chapter 10 verse 43. I hope that helps a little bit. Okay, quite a thanks. All right, you’re welcome and I think you can in Clearwater, Florida. We now have Robert in Bradenton, Florida. Welcome to Bibleline your on the air Robert Robert.

I don’t hear you Robert is not too sure. I guess we’re gonna go to Lynn in Sanford, Florida over on the east coast of Florida Lynn Yeah, Lynn you’re on the air Hi Lynn you’re on the air. This is Bible. I Know just to ask your question. What is your question? What is your question, Lynn? My question is, what does it mean in there when it says that no large or draw cords and so on and so forth? I had one.

That’s the whole thing wrote down here. I said, you can’t enter into the kingdom of heaven. Well, that’s absolutely right, Lynn, and that means we’re all condemned, doesn’t it? Jesus came and was condemned in our place. So that we could go to heaven. That scared me when I first learned about that, that 18 that one lie would keep me out of heaven. And I thought to myself, who then could be able to go to heaven? I didn’t know if anybody that had never told a lie.

The only one I’d ever heard about in my schooling was George Washington. They said he never told a lie, which I thought to myself, well, he’ll be the only one in heaven. Everybody else will be excluded. But the point is, Jesus died and paid for every imaginable sin that you and I would ever commit. And when we trust in His death and shed blood, as the means of salvation, God credits us with His righteousness and God sees us no longer as a sinner but as righteous.

So Lin, when you trust Christ, you could be assured of going to heaven. Well, this is not my son. He drinks and he lies and he says he loves the Lord and accepts it. I was always heart, mind and soul. We’ve been taught that for a southerner that you can’t go into the kingdom of heaven if you’re drunk with your alarm. He drinks and he lies. I’m worried about it. I want to sure I understand well it may be that he is a believer and if he is And obviously he’s gonna pay consequences for his lifestyle, you know, uh when I was born into my Family that I was raised in I was my dad’s son Whether I was obedient or disobedient And if I was obedient, I got rewarded, maybe my allowance would be increased, or I’d get more freedom on the weekends and privileges.

And if I was delinquent, I would probably be restricted. I wouldn’t be able to go out. My allowance might be cut. And there were consequences. But you’re still saved. But I certainly would pray that he is saved, and I would continue to talk to him about his salvation. And if he trusts Jesus as his Savior, the only means of reaching heaven, he’s saved. But the Lord will require of him a penalty for living as he pleases. And certainly alcohol takes a big toll on your life and these other things that he’s doing obviously will catch up with him one day.

And he’ll suffer loss of reward and God will chase him here in this life. I think he needs to be prayed for like you’re doing and hopefully to have a good sit down talk about his lifestyle and how it’s inconsistent with a believer. We ought to be living for Christ and serving him, not violating the Word of God. But if you trust Christ as your only hope of heaven, you will be saved. Lynna, I hope that helps you. I’m praying for you.

Thank you for calling in. It was Lynn over in Sanford, Florida. We now have Robert in Bradenton, Florida. Robert, welcome to Bible Eye. Hi, brother. Dr. Hank, God bless you. I’ve got a couple questions. It’s about the bilingual Bible that you guys have. Is the King James translated to Spanish or is another version? No, it’s another version, but it’s very good. At least the people that I don’t read or speak Spanish. Spanish, I can just order Spanish food in a restaurant, but I can’t speak it.

But I’m told by people that it’s very very good but on one page is English with the King James edition of the Bible with the Schofield notes and the other page is the Spanish Bible with the Schofield notes in Spanish. I can’t tell you a whole lot more but everybody raves about it that gets one and you can obviously compare. And then the 1960 no, it’s the old skill film. It’s we got the old one Okay, okay. Thank you and I well my last question is about you know when we were indulging us well an unsafe person is We’re all made at Trinity when we’re coming to this world where body soul and spirit and the lost person His body is all in spirit, but their spirit is cut off from God.

That’s called spiritual death. And not until they get saved, do they become spiritually alive? And that means, what you would be saved all of a sudden, now the Bible becomes more open to you and you can receive. I’m a spiritual part of you. It’s like the light turns on when you read the Bible. I’ve had so many Christians here that have just become brand new Christians say, wow, the Bible is making sense to me now. I’m understanding what I’m reading.

Whereas prior to your salvation, the Bible doesn’t make sense. It’s just amazing that the switch gets turned on when you get saved. But we’re still three parts. He’s a body-som spirit, every one of us. And apparently he hung up on that call. We now have Frank in Sarasota, Florida. Frank, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Thank you, Dr. Hank, for taking my phone call. Boy, you sure get some interesting questions and thought-provoking questions. We get them all, don’t we?

My question is, I just heard a few comments just about who chooses to choose us. My question is Ephesians chapter 1, we’ve got the New American Standard Bible in hand And before the foundation of the world that we would be holy and flameless, flameless before him. What’s your interpretation of the key? The key there is that phrase in hymn. In other words, it’s our choice to be found in Christ. I like Philippians 3.9 as a cross-reference where it says be found in hymn.

I’m going to stop right there in Philippians 3-9 and then go to the last two words which say by faith. Be found in Him by faith. Be found in Him by faith. So when you place your trust in Christ, then you are placed by God the Holy Spirit into Christ’s body and you are found in Him. And the Bible says that God from the foundations of the world chose to save all those that were in Christ. Here’s my illustration.

Let’s say that there is an airplane this afternoon that will depart from Tampa International Airport and fly nonstop to Chicago. Well the airlines is predetermined months ago, maybe even longer ago, that that flight, whatever number it is that takes off maybe at four this afternoon will go nonstop to Chicago. Now, it’s your choice whether you want to be in that flight or not. And in the illustration, God has determined everybody in flight Jesus will go to heaven. And it’s your choice whether you want to be in flight Jesus or not and arrive in heaven.

So everybody in Christ has been chosen to go to heaven as the airlines has chosen that the flight that leaves this afternoon will go to Chicago. So everybody in that flight, when you board that plane, you buy the ticket for that flight, you then will wind up in Chicago at the end of that flight. And if you trust Christ as Savior, God has chosen that everybody in Jesus will go to heaven. I hope that helps a little bit. I understand that ultimately from the Lord that’s what the Bible teaches and I get it.

Right. And it’s given to all those that would believe on Christ. John 3 16 can never be thinking of the equation. So God’s love the world, that’s the whole human race, but then there’s a select group that gets saved. Those that believe in Christ will not perish, but they’ll have eternal life, and those who do not believe on Christ will not, they will perish and they’ll not have eternal life. So that’s where God is before the foundation of the world chosen to save those that would believe.

Okay. Why? Thank you, Frank. Okay, Frank in Sarasota, Florida. We have now Orlando in Orange City, Florida and so Orlando, welcome to Bible Life. Good morning. I have a question. I was thinking, I don’t know if you would have answered to this. Maybe I would just call anyway, just try it out. The Holy Spirit, and it’s the part from us, because I read it and David said, do not take all your spirit from me. Right. back in Psalm 51.

The Holy Spirit in this age cannot depart from you. Jesus said, I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. Hebrews 13.5. In John 14 Christ said the Holy Spirit would dwell on us forever. Now prior to Pentecost, the Holy Spirit could come and go and sometimes the Holy Spirit was removed from someone like Saul. The Holy Spirit was in Saul and yet because of his sin, God took the Holy Spirit away from him. He didn’t take away his salvation but he took away the Holy Spirit.

And in this age the Holy Spirit will not depart from you for any reason. Okay, I was just thinking that nope the Holy Spirit will not leave you Okay, so he just stays right if he’s just 113 and that’s how you get to heaven So you’re not gonna ever shake the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit is gonna be in you forever We can just make them sad. That’s right. We can grieve the Holy Spirit, but we cannot lose the Holy Spirit Yeah, we’re sealed.
