Welcome to Bibleline with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. Declaring God’s love through radio and television. Providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Good morning and welcome to Bibleline. I’m going to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Monday through Friday as we come to you live from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church.
We’re located right next to Tampa’s International Airport. We invite you to come by every day. Our resource center is open till about 4.30 in the afternoon. You can also come by on our worship day and we would invite you to come to a Wednesday night worship for a Sunday morning and a Sunday evening worship and we certainly hope that you’ll take us up on that offer and knock on our door and say hello. We’re easy to find because we’re right next to the airport here in Tampa and if you were to go one block west of the main north south runway, you would be on George Road and that’s where we are located at 4811 George Road and we’re just directly west of the Tampa International Airport.
Easy to find from anywhere as you find the airport you can find us and we thank you so much for for you’re coming by when you do. We have so many to do come by and we had a lot of folks we got to meet yesterday. That was really wonderful and we love that. We enjoy people coming by and we certainly will give you the red carpet treatment and invite you to come back often. Our Resource Center of course has a lot of great things in it including the Scofield Bible, the Strong’s Concordance Bible Dictionaries, Common Terries and many other books that a lot of bookstores aren’t caring.
You can hardly find the Scofield Bible, old edition anywhere. So when you go to your Christian bookstore they’ll sell you the new watered down hybrid called the Scofield 3. You really don’t want to get that because the notes are just so watered down and they’ve added new notes that I would totally disagree with that were not by Dr. Spofield. So in any case we have a lot of those things and we invite you to take a look on the internet at our online bookstore if you live somewhere else and you can see everything listed there.
You can also call and ask for a resource list to be sent to you. We’re talking about going to Israel the last week of February, 1st week of March next year and we’re getting close to getting a brochure published and be able to mail that out. If you want to be on our prospect list, call and we’ll put you down and when we get the brochure we’ll mail you one or call you and the dates will be the last of February 1st, we had a wonderful trip when we went this year in March and we’re going to go back about the same time of year.
It will be wonderful. We love to have you go. It will be trip number 15 for me. We’ll be standing in the Bible all the way. So wherever we are, we’ll open our scriptures and take a look at the Bible. Love to have you go. Also, we want you to know that we finished that Gospel of John and that’s 20 hours of teaching available to you if you get the whole series in two nice book-like jackets that hold the cities it’s a hundred dollars for the twenty hours of teaching and it’s just five dollars for each hour and that of course can be gotten half and half because we broke it into two halves the first uh…
ten hours of teaching on one for fifty dollars in the second half hour uh… the second uh… 10 hours are available on the second one for a gift of $50. A lot of things available, including the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, the book of Matthew, series on topics like parables, how to lead souls to Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Rapture, end-time prophecies and so on and so on. We have about 40 series that are on CD and some of them are on DVD, including the Gospel John, you can get that on DVD for a little bit more for a gift of $150 to help my mind that would be great.
We’re going to get into our Bible. Certainly, we are seeing things in the headlines that really let us know that we must be in the latter days. It’s interesting. What I’m looking at here says here that Washington leaders are asking if unfolding events in the Middle East were foretold in the Bible. What it’s about time people begin to look to the Bible to see what would happen. And we find here that they’re talking about World War III. George Bush mentioned that on Wednesday of last week.
He said he spoke of World War III if Iran which seeks to destroy Israel gains a nuclear bomb and then he hints here at those who are responsible in helping Iran, Russia and China and these are the major players that the Bible says will be involved in the Battle of Armageddon. The Bible says that the Chinese will march their armies in the Middle East. And it’s so interesting because it says when that happens, the river Euphrates will dry up.
You know, the river Euphrates has been flowing for thousands and thousands of years. And you read about it even back in the book of Genesis, flows right down through Iraq. It begins in Turkey, flows through Syria, and then down through Iraq, out into the Persian Gulf, major, major river in this world. And right now it’s possible for that river to drive up by a political decision. That’s right, Turkey, where it begins, built a project like the Answon Project in Egypt where they have built a series of dams.
And when they wanted to fill up the reservoirs behind those dams, they actually pushed a button and I guess the visual would be like putting the stopper in your bathtub at home. I put the plug in and it lowered this big concrete plug. It shut off the waters and the waters were shut off. And for a short time that caused some real concern about those that were in Syria and Iraq at that time because they weren’t getting their water.
Wow, we’re living in the last days. The Bible says that the last days would be characterized by the river Euphrates drying up that the way would be prepared for the kings of the east to come into the Middle East from the Battle of Armageddon. If you run your finger from China to Israel, just keep your finger on the ground there. Keep it moving, keep it moving West. Guess what? If you don’t lift up your finger, your finger will go right through the river Euphrates.
It’s right in the past from China to Israel in the Bible remarkable. Anyway, we are living in a time when Euphrates is more in the news since we are in Iraq. This is a river that will dry up according to the Bible before the Chinese move their armies into the Middle East. But we are watching things happen that are quite remarkable. Ezekiel, chapter 38, is a whole prophecy about Russia coming down into Israel at the time of the Battle of Armageddon.
Guess what? It lists one of the countries that Russia will use as an ally in that coming down and guess what? It says Persia. That’s Ezekiel 38 verse 5 says Persia. Now in 1931, Persia changed your name to Iran. We’re talking about Iran here. And of course Putin just went down there to Iran and has obviously said he’s siding with them exactly like the Bible says thousands of years ago. Well, it seems like the sabers are rattling in the Middle East and it seems like there is real wars and rumors of wars.
I just read that the serious top general spoke to his pilots. He said be prepared for war. Be prepared for war. Be prepared to fend off all external aggression that seeks to harm the homeland. He’s instructing his pilot to the ceremony, making a graduation from flight school on Monday of this week. Amazing, isn’t it? The rhetoric is there. We find that apparently Israel is very concerned about what’s happening, and apparently they’d have some pretty hard evidence that Iran is way ahead of schedule and it’s crossed over that line of no return.
And so right now we know that they are taking some of that evidence to different leaders of Europe and also, Albert already has flown to Moscow to talk to Putin even about this. We are really watching a scary scenario developing in the Middle East. You know the Bible has a wonderful ending though, Christ is going to come back. He’s going to take over this world and he’s going to bring peace on earth good will toward men. But before that happens there will be the darkest hours.
of human history that will take place. In Matthew 24, Jesus was asked, what would be the sign of His coming? And you know, He lists a lot of things, which many of which were already seeing these things take place. He says, first of all, do not be deceived. For many will come in my name, saying I am Christ and deceive many. Deception Relegious deception would be par for the day and we see that happening On a grand scale today.
It’s amazing how people are being fooled And it’s because we’re not sticking with our Bibles. We are not paying attention And and therefore people don’t know what is right and what is wrong You know for example in many churches across America today. They’re caught up into the Rick Warren purpose-driven church program. And you know the Bible says, for example, in Acts 2.47, it says, the Lord added daily, such as should be saved to the church. But according to the new church philosophy, man adds to the church daily, such as should be saved by contemporary marketing methods.
If you follow the Rick Warren thing, it’s about man building the church. The Lord says that he builds the church. Also Rick Warren, and the purpose driven, says that the church needs a new purpose. That’s what the purpose driven life is all about. But the church already has a purpose if you read the Bible, and that is the great commission that Christ came. He said, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Obviously it says in Jude 1-3 that we should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered under the saints.
What’s this deal about a new purpose? And that we should have a new purpose for the church today. This is not what the Bible program says. Then we also find that the Rick Warren purpose driven platform says that we need to conform the church to the image of the world and that way we’ll reach the world. James 4-4 says don’t you know that friendship of the world is imnity with God? And Romans 12-2 is pretty clear. It says be not conformed to this world.
Be not conformed to this world. It’s amazing. The Rick Warren thing promotes self-love. Yet in the Bible it says he that love in his life shall lose it and he that hated his life in his world shall keep it under life eternal John 1225. Revelation 12 commensos who in the tribulation period give themselves as martyrs for the faith and it says they love not their lives under death but that seems to be opposite of the purpose today. Today we find that the Rick Warren Purpose-Driven Church says don’t offend seekers with religious words.
Well guess what Peter tells us in 1 Peter 2 8 that the gospel and Christ is a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to those which stumble at the word. Well, you know, most of the Rick Warren purpose-driven churches remove the cross from the church. But if you read the Bible, we should be clinging to the whole rugged cross. It’s the theme song for Bible Heim. And obviously, the cross was in plain sight for all to see when Jesus died.
And of course we know that Paul talks about that his focus was on what was accomplished there at the cross. And we don’t want to remove the cross. We want to, as the Bible says, take up Christ’s cross daily and proclaim Him to the world. And you know, there are dozens and dozens of things. Maybe we ought to spend a radio program on But the church today is departing with new ideas and new philosophies and new direction where the Bible says that we need to go back to the Bible to be finding our direction.
I love Proverbs 3, 5, and 6. It says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not into your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. The plan of salvation is even perverted. And you know, this is amazing to me. It’s so simple. John 3.16 says it is simply as anybody would ever hear it. For God so loved the world, that’s the whole human race, that he gave his only begotten son.
As Jesus Christ, that whosoever anyone, everyone that would simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ would be saved. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. It’s great to have the Bible to guide us and direct us and to be the source of our belief system. and we need to get back to the Bible. I think today we are seeing an exodus from the Bible. The devil is aiding by all these new Bible translations, many of which are very flawed, that have deliberate omissions and changes that are just absolutely not correct.
It’s amazing to me that this is happening before our very eyes. By the way, we have that book New Age Bible Versions that exposes these new translations. I’ve told people, you will not find that book in any Christian bookstore within 100 miles of Bibleline here. And you probably won’t find it in your city either. Why? The bookstores aren’t going to sell that Bible because that would ruin their business. They won’t be selling those translations if they sell this book.
But the book is about 800 pages and for gift of $20 it will inform you about the NIV, the NASB and the New English Bible, the New Living Translation and all these different translations of what they have done to our Bible. It’s absolutely amazing. Well we’re going to go to the phone lines. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible and our phone number here is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we’re going to go first to Ann in Winterhaven, Florida. Ann, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Okay. I’m right here. Okay. Well, my question was, or is, why are there so many different ways of the Bible talked about salvation? I, too, am confused about, as a child I was taught to ask the Lord to save me and which I did. for many, many years I thought I was saved and then later looking at my life and some things that I got into and I was confused. Then you go to the Bible and it talks about calling on Him, trusting in Him, believing in Him.
So I’m just confused about what… Well, there’s only one thing you can do to be saved and that is Acts 1631, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, when you trust him as the one who died and shed his blood at the cross and paid your sin dead and full, God save you. And those, all that you mentioned, they’re pretty much the same. Now, we are not saved by asking God to save us. Although you might want to be saved and you might say, God save me.
That doesn’t really save you because even when Christ was crucified, both thieves asked to be saved. only the one that believed in the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ. Only the one that knew that Christ would come back from the dead and have a kingdom and who said, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. That was the one that God said, today I’ll show up with you with me in paradise. He was saved by trusting in the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ and Christ died and shed his blood so that you and I might be saved.
The word trust and belief come from the same Greek word and the Greek word means to trust, to rely upon, to put your confidence in the rest upon. Now when it says calling upon the name of the Lord, that name of the Lord is Yahweh in the Old Testament and when it’s connected with another word for salvation, Yasha, Y-A-S-H-A, the contraction is Yeshua and Yeshua in English is Jesus. So when you are appealing to a Savior, you don’t want to go to Allah or some other God because Allah is not the same God as the God of the Bible.
The God who became flesh, that is Jesus, Yeshua, God in flesh, the one that entered this world in a human body at Bethlehem, but went to the cross and died for our sins at Calvary. That’s the one we call upon and we trust that He died for us and then God saves us. is really not simple but I know preachers make it complicated. I was confused. Okay, because I believe, I’ve always believed Jesus is God’s son. I’ve always believed that he died on the cross for my sins, for the sins of the world.
But the key word is trust. You have to trust that he died there for you. Have you ever done that, you trust that Christ died to pay for your sins at the cross. Yes. Okay. And when you trust him and him alone, you’re not, you can’t trust in Christ plus something else and really be trusting Christ. So it’s Christ alone. If you’re trusting Christ plus living a Christian life or trusting Christ plus water baptism, then that’s not, that’s not trusting Christ.
You have to totally trust Christ as the only means of your salvation. He’s the only way of salvation. Okay. Well, then if you have, then according to the Bible, you’re saved. Once you trust Christ alone, as we covered yesterday on our program, 1 John 5, 13, God gives the written guarantee and he says, these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know. K-N-O-W, not hope or guess or perhaps, but maybe.
But you could know that you have, H-A-V-E. That means right now you possess eternal life. So if you have trusted Christ and you say you have, then according to the Bible you can actually know right now that you have eternal life because God says so and He’s given you that written here in T and 1 John 5, 13. Then why does some people talk about, I know that you said it’s not a ceiling, but then why does some people, so many people talk about such joy and such, you know.
Well that’s not what we should be looking for. We are to believe His Word and know because He has said so. Now that might bring joy, but there are a lot of Christians who are miserable because they’re not living for Christ. Aftentimes it becomes a, but salvation is a gift whether you have joy or not. Now in John he tells us about the Christian life in chapter 15 and there he says, I’m writing this to you that if you are going to be a fruit-bearing Christian, he says, I’m writing to you so that your joy might be full, and that he wanted us to be full of joy.
But that comes by living for Christ. But salvation, there’s nothing to be expected in the way of a feeling. In fact, the word feel is used five times in the New Testament, always in a negative way. Our assurance should be based upon that God said it, and when we believe it, it settles it because God is not going to change his mind. So if he offers you eternal life free by trusting Christ then it’s free and you receive it the moment you believe.
Just don’t look for a feeling because it’s so misleading. Feelings are up and down. You know today you might feel good and you might feel saved and tomorrow you might feel terrible and you might feel lost. So you don’t ever want to go by your feelings. You have to go by the fact that God is not. He is able to keep you from falling. Does that? That’s the Christian life. That’s the Christian life you can’t. People talking about is when you’re saved that God’s going to keep you from wanting to do sin or wanting to do certain things.
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, that’s why I get confused. What is talked about you are a new creature. Yeah. What it’s saying, and people get that verse wrong all the time, it says if any man be in Christ, he’s a new creation, behold, all things are passed away, all things are become new. It’s not talking about your life being changed. It’s talking about the fact that the conditions that existed prior to your salvation are now gone and now you’re living in a brand new conditions.
For example, you were lost, now you’re saved. You were headed for hell, now you’re headed for heaven. You were a child of Satan, but now you’re a child of God. You were under the law, but now you’re under grace and so on and so on. There’s dozens and dozens of things that immediately change at the moment you believe But it’s not talking about the ease to smoking You don’t smoke anymore or those things have to do with the Christian life and many times it takes a while To get those things cleaned up in our life if we choose to live for Christ But I saw things beside smoking Well obviously yeah a lot of you know if you read first Corinthians the Corinthians believers came out of a pretty pagan environment and many of them were still doing things that were totally wrong as Christians and that lengthy letter was written to
try to tell them how that they needed to change their life now if they’re going to have God’s blessing and if they’re going to have rewards in heaven and if they’re going to have the joy and the experience of God being using them in their lives that would come by serving the Lord. Does the Lord always kill a Christian if they do certain sins? Not always, but in some cases he does, but he might take a believer home to heaven, but you’re still saved and will go to heaven.
But the Lord wants us to enjoy all of the blessings that we possibly can have here and eternity and that comes by living for him. You are not a good person, but salvation is a gift and that can never be taken away from you. You have choices to make every day as a believer to choose to do the right thing. Thank you. I hope that helps, Ann. But you’re saved once you trust Christ and nothing can take that away from you.
Okay, thank you. OK. We are about out of time here. It looks like we’re coming up on break and we have a lot of people waiting to talk. You’ll have to wait until after the break. Plus we have lots of offer questions. those as well. We are listed and supported here at Bible and if you want to help us, this would be a great time. We need your help to be able to keep all of our stations on the air.
We don’t want to ever drop an area. But if we have to, we might have to because some areas don’t have enough coming in and other areas are supporting them. This obviously is a difficult thing to balance. So we need your help. If you could help us with a gift, you could do it by credit card over the phone or you could call an answer on an envelope to be sent and mail a gift in. We just are pleading for souls so that we could get this message out to the world as we’re trying our best to stretch it right out there because we believe time is running out that Christ is returning.
Most of all we care about you and your soul. We hope you’ve trusted Christ and are assured of going to heaven. The Bible makes it very clear that once you trust Christ you can be absolutely assured of going to heaven. And you can’t lose it. But rewards, they’re earned by our living for Christ. We’re going to take a break. We’ll come right back. We’re going to finish a second half hour. So don’t go away. Keep your radio dial tuned right where it is and we’ll be right back in a moment.
The line will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. 576 3771. Well I’m Dr. England Sermann, it’s great to be with you today, it is Tuesday and we hopefully will have you listening the rest of the week. We met some wonderful folks yesterday who came by and visited our resource center. We hope that you’ll come by sometime and if you can’t you can do it online wherever you might be on the planet Earth.
That’s right, go to BibleInemindustries.org or .com. You can order resources. You can give a gift to Bible and also on the online bookstore. And if you want, you can call us and get a resource sheet sent to you, which will list it on paper, that will list all of our items that we have in our resource center and the cost. And you can order off of that sheet. We also want you to know that if you click on the camera on our home page, you can catch our worship services.
We have 50 sermons there now for the past almost year, and you can watch them at your pleasure. Also, you can click on the spinning globe and get the radio programs. One of our listeners yesterday said that he downloads those into his iPod. That’s all free on our website. He listens. He drives 55 minutes to and fro from work every day. That’s two hours in the car. So he says I get about two hours of you every day in my car.
So he gets more than probably most of you because he’s downloading the programs, putting him in a tripod and playing them as he goes to and fro in the car from work. That’s exciting. And we hope that others will take advantage of these things that are available through the technology that’s there. Look at our website. And if you want to find something, you’ll find that our website has the Bible with the Greek and Hebrew words where you can search and look at the original words.
It has some online books sitting right there. The book on evangelism is sitting there for you to read right on the computer and print out chapters or portions that will help you in evangelization. All of this stuff is right there and tons more. Take advantage. Go to BimalineMinistries.org or .com and discover our radio programs, our TV programs, our worship services and all the other things that we have to aid you. The articles that I’ve written, questions that I’ve answered, lots of things are right there for you.
Surety, thank you for tuning in today and tell your friends about the program and help us grow our audience. We are about ready to wind up this month and I hope you’ll pray for us and if you can give a gift this month that would be wonderful. Just call and you can do it by credit card over the phone or get an envelope mailed to you so you can mail in your gift. We’re going to be joining the stations that have been on break into the second half hour of Bible lines so keep your radio tuned right where it is and you might want to try listening on the internet because we’re live right now on the internet and you can catch it again for as long as you want.
Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is by-blind. It’s so great to be able to be with you. It’s Tuesday and we’ll be here all week long every day. And we hope that you’ll tune in the program. And announcement for those of you up in Lansing, Michigan, I believe, beginning in November sometime.
I’ll find out the exact date. We’ll be switching to the lifetime. I think you heard at 11 o’clock in Lansing, Eastern Standard Time. we’re on at 10 o’clock here eastern standard we’re going to slide to that to you to that ten o’clock spot so you’ll hear us live which will be great because I know a lot of our Lansing Michigan listeners call in as soon as we get off the year here in Tampa they’re listening to the same program played an hour later so we’re hoping to get all of our stations to be live at the same time most of them are but we’re excited to let you know in advance so you don’t get surprise one day and all of a sudden where did the program go?
Well we’ll be moving up an hour earlier for those folks up there in that part of Michigan. We hope that you’re taking advantage of the resources we have. Our CDs really are a powerful way of learning the Bible. We have people come by every day and get more CD sets of the different teachings I have and a fellow that came by yesterday said he’s been studying Genesis and found that particularly interesting. And so you might want to get the series on Genesis or Revelation or Matthew or Hebrews or Romans or the book of Jude.
And we’ve got pretty much a broad selection and verse by verse explanation of the scriptures. I think you’ll find that very, very helpful. Some people use it to facilitate a Bible study, a Sunday school class or just their personal study at home, some do it for family devotions and others have started Bible studies where they play a CD and have discussion and have refreshments and one fellow said he had to add on to his home because it grew too big for the little room where they were meeting and so he added a large meeting room on his home so he could facilitate these Bible studies.
He does really by playing my CDs. So take a look, get our resource list, call, and we’ll send it out to you or go right on the internet to get Bibleinemindustries.org and click on the online bookstore, you’ll have it there. And also of course you can just call and talk to our operators and they’ll be able to suggest something that might meet your need. We are listeners supported and again we hate to talk about money at all. I wish I didn’t have to say a word about it.
But I think God wants you to be able to be a part of this because you’re going to be blessed and rewarded with the same rewards that we hear that are at the studios of Bible line will be rewarded one day for getting this message out to the world. And I believe that those who give and pray for Bibleline will share in the rewards of what will come. Sometimes we forget how important it is to pray. Jesus when he was in the Garden of Gethsemane asked his disciples to stay awake and pray and pray that they wouldn’t fall into temptation and they fell asleep and he woke them up and told them to stay awake and pray and they fell asleep and then he woke them up again and unfortunately they did fall into temptation when the soldiers came they fled, they ran for their lives.
And they were frightened and afraid and they didn’t stand tall because they didn’t pray that the Lord would give them the courage to stand at that hour. And we need to really look to the Lord all the time in prayer. And we can covet your prayers for Bibleline and for myself and for our staff. We need your prayers. The devil doesn’t want this message to go out and he’s going to do whatever he can to kind of hinder that.
And we are trying to push ourselves out there as far as we can go. And we’re living on the edge. And that’s why we really need your help. Here we’re winding up our cover. We want to come out on top and we could use your help to finish out this month. So if you want to help us, that would be great if you can’t. We understand we love you just as much. But certainly I believe that what we’re doing is very needed.
And I think a lot of you obviously believe the same way or we wouldn’t be on the here at this very moment. God bless you, think about us, pray for us, and if you can give a gift that would be wonderful send it in by mail or call. We have Pat who has been so patient. She is up in Virginia and Pat we are going to get to you right now. Welcome to Bibleline. Yes. Welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air.
Dr. Hank? Yes. I want to ask you if you have heard about the National ID card that is supposed to be coming out in May of 2008. And if so, what are your thoughts? And should the Christians take the card? Well you know what, I don’t think it’s going to affect us too much this side of the rapture, but it’s the lead toward the mark of the beast I think. And so we’re heading that way. And I believe that this is something you’re not going to be able to stop.
I mean, you won’t be able to drive your car, you won’t be able to pretty much transact business and more and more of the government and our privacy and their ability to track everything you do is happening before our very eyes. I know that I just heard a story from a friend this week that went to the bank to withdraw some money and if it exceeds the transaction between your deposit and withdrawal exceeds $10,000, they now make you fill out a report to home and security.
I always do that report my good IRS, but what does Homeland Security need to know about you withdrawing money? I mean, it’s a scary world today. And then this guy said, well, forget the transaction. I’m not going to do it. And from what I understand is that the bank says, now I have to fill out a form saying that you refused to fill out a report to Homeland Security. So boy, you can’t win either way. And that was a well-known bank in the area.
I won’t mention the bank name. But apparently this is becoming the policy now where your transactions are being scanned and observed and reported to Homeland Security and everything else. It’s a crazy world. So we have nothing private and I think those cards are coming. Then, of course, the chip. I had a professor from the medical school here in Tampa come by and he said that chip is coming fast. He says it’s coming in increments, but pretty soon we’ll be inserting that in everybody.
And he teaches in the med school. So we’re just seeing what’s coming fast. And right now, of course, they want to put in Alzheimer’s patients. They’re good reasons because if they get out, they can track them and find them and return them. But it can be used in a bad way, which is the scary part that the government will be able to totally control your buying and selling, which is what Revelation 13 says. Okay. So Pat, I wouldn’t worry about it.
We’re going to be raptured out. Been three and a half years later is when the number of the mark becomes official. And so we’re going to be gone when that happens. I mean, you think the car will be coming on. The rapture will happen before the car comes out? No. I’m saying that the rapture will happen before the actual chip goes and in everybody where it’s actually your order to put it in. Oh, okay. and where it will actually be used by the Antichrist and the government to control everybody’s buying and selling.
I’m glad I’m leaving. It’s going to get real bad after the Rapture, and we’re going to be escaping the worst time on the Earth. Okay, so this is just more at leading up to it? All leading up to it. It started with a barcode and it started with all this stuff that’s going on, you know, and there are things that are happening we don’t even know anything about. You know now they they if you buy a newer car today, it already has a black box and then it tells What happens like if you have an accident they can tell whether you were breaking or whether you were turning your car or whether you You were accelerating or what speed you were going and it’s all recorded in a black box in your car Did you know that no I didn’t I’m telling you and they don’t advertise it when you buy the car you have a black box in your car
Yeah, it tells on you. You can’t say, well, I was going 30 when you were going 60. The black box will tell exactly what speed you were going when the accident occurred. My word. Something in it? It really is. And in one way, it’s exciting for us as Christians because we can see how what the Bible has said is really coming to pass. And I’m so glad we’re going to be escaping most of it by being raptured out. Okay, that’s wonderful.
And you’re a true blessing to me. I just wanted to let you know. Well, thank you, Pat. And God bless you. Keep listening. No, thank you. I will. All right. That’s Pat up in Virginia. Yeah, a lot of this stuff is really coming now at a freight train coming down the track. I mean, it’s coming quickly. And every day I read things that just say, whoa, it’s like the Bible is coming alive here in the headlines because they’re reflecting exactly what the Bible said would take place.
We’re now going to go to Judy in Jacksonville, Florida and Judy, welcome to Bibleline, and you are on the air. Hello, my name is Judy and I’d like to say thank you for taking the opportunity to hear me. And may God bless those who teach and preach His word. Thank you. You had a caller earlier this morning. And when you did, the Holy Spirit convicted my heart. This caller was calling in regards to being saved and finding joy or happiness.
We are saved only through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We know that. There’s one way to the Father and that’s through the Son. But what we have to remember Christ sent the comforter, which is the Holy Spirit that has given me joy and peace because He leads me and He guides me to what is good in right in life. And I want her to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to camp around her because God just loves this person.
I just felt it so strongly. whatever she’s going through in life, she has a comforter. God sent Jesus sent that comforter for her, for you, for me, for the world. And I just hope she knows that. Well, I hope she’s listening in now to hear you because you’re right on, and that’s absolutely true, and thank you for sharing it. Well, I have one small question. You don’t mind. I know you have lots of callers, and may God bless you for your time, but I don’t think anything’s about coincidence in life.
When a person says the word Jesus, we translate it back to Jesus in English. Am I wrong? Well, yeah. He’s just in Spanish for Jesus and English is Jesus, but the Hebrew is Yeshua. Yes, okay. Yes, yes. Yes. Yes. I understand something, but I had the privilege for two years to do work for a missionary service in the Middle East in the Holy Lands of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. I don’t want to mention the missionary, but may price be to God and not to me for it.
But I got to learn something. There’s so many Christians over there. I didn’t realize this in the Holy Lands that take care of the church in activity, the church of the Holy Sepulcher. And I simply asked them one day because I went to their service and I picked up a little bit of Arabic. and say Allah. And I’m like wait a minute. Don’t you say you believe in God Jesus Christ, the Holy Trinity? Yes. But man you have to realize this is Arabic language and translated back to English.
It’s God. We don’t serve what the Muslims serve. We believe in Jesus Christ. And I think a lot of people don’t realize that and I wouldn’t have unless God gave me the opportunity to be there. And I will say I’m thankful for that and that we We should pray for all the Christians over there. We should also pray for all the Muslims in Jews to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior because He did come to this world. He did die for us.
You’re absolutely right. And my Lord is nothing, dear friend, but Jesus’ Word is everything. Everything. Amen. Then it may be my last word. Okay, thank you, Judy. Thank you so much. much, you all, and your regular show. Thank you now. And that’s Judy up in Jacksonville. Actually, in the Middle East, you have so many different Christian organizations and nominations that call themselves Christian. But oftentimes, again, just like you’re in the States, when you get down to the bottom line, what are you trusting in to get you to heaven?
They’re trusting in works. And what most people call Christians in the Middle East are Roman Catholic. So you have to recognize that when they say Christians over there they primarily mean Roman Catholicism. But you have the Greek Orthodox Church, you have the Russian Orthodox Church, you have about every denomination in the world has a stake or a claim in Israel and there is yet a lot of confusion and unbelief because again the Word of God today is not really being appeal to and taught and it’s sad really because it’s the word of God that brings life to a dead soul.
When they trust Jesus Christ and He should but is the only means of salvation and absolutely we need to pray for the people in Israel and like the Bible says pray for the peace of Jerusalem which I really believe is a prayer for Christ to return back because Jerusalem will not be at peace until Jesus returns and when He returns and establishes peace that peaceful flow like a river to the ends of the world. We’re going to go down to Jennifer in Holiday Florida and Jennifer, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Hi, my question is about baptism. I’ve heard you say before that you don’t need to be water baptized to be saved, but I was reading in John chapter 3 verse 5 says, Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. I’m going to hang up and listen to your explanations. Alright, thank you, Jennifer. A lot of people appeal to that verse, but guess what? That verse is not talking about water baptism at all.
It says B-O-R-N. That’s a tremendous difference between being baptized. And so Christ is talking here about two births. The first birth, the birth of water, is the one where you’re enclosed in a sack of water in your mother’s womb. When the water sack breaks, then you come and you’re born into this human world as a member of the human race. Then Christ talks about a second birth, which is a birth of the Spirit. Notice even Nicodemus recognized that in verse 4.
He said, how can this be? I’m an old man. Can I go back into my mother’s womb the second time and come out and be born the second time? He was misunderstanding here, but he did understand that there was a flesh birth. But Christ was talking about a second birth, a spirit birth. And then in verse 6 we also have that confirmed where Jesus said that which is born of the flesh, that’s the water birth and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. He said marvel not that I said unto thee you must be born again. So here obviously Nicodemus at this point was not saved but yet he already had the first the water birth, the flesh birth, but now he was being told he had to have a second birth, he had to be born again, that was the birth of the spirit. And that one is of course the one that takes place at the moment of belief.
It says in 1 John chapter 5 in verse 1, who’s to ever believe that Jesus is the Son of God, is born of God. So the birth of God, the birth of the spirit is one that takes place when you believe. And John 3 was Christ telling theodemus how he could be born again. For God so loved the world and he was addressing that directly to theodemus. That whoever the God gave us only got in the sun, that whoever theodemus if you would believe in Christ, you would not perish but you would have eternal life.
So it’s talking nothing about water. It’s talking about a a flesh birth which is called the water birth. Every one of us, if you’re human, have come into the world in that way. There’s no way you got here without coming in that sack of water in the mother’s womb and that water sack breaks and then out you come. All right. Thank you, Judy. It’s amazing to me. I’ve had people tell me that they had to be water baptized. we say they would point me to that verse and I’d have them read it and you read it correctly.
But many of them will read the word baptize in there. I’ve had one fellow read it and he said, except the man be baptized the water and of the spirit. He came into the kingdom of God. I said, excuse me, I’m the Hollywood Florida and we have the one the only held by Jewish atheist friend and welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Yes sir, how are you? I’ll know that after I speak with you. Alright, well we’ll find out where it all goes.
Shalom. Shalom to you and good health, but I’ve got to go over real fast with a couple of items, and then I’m going to sum it up by listening to you and what Jesus says. How’s that? That sounds good to me. Okay, first item on Larry King Law, I be interviewed Joel Steen one hour. After that, the comment was made by leading Christians. Here’s what they said about Joel Osteen. He’s a heretic. He sounds more like Dr. Phil. He has no knowledge of the Bible.
Although he draws more people than anybody. Number two, Dr. Dobson. Forty million people. He’s a Christian. He says there’s forty million people. Don’t vote for anyone who is pro-choice or gay rights. Number three, Tony Perkins, family values. Don’t vote for anyone, pro-choice, or pro-gay. Now the last one is Mitt Romney, the Mormon. What they critique him as, he said, Christian, but of a different faith. How do you respond to Christians, critiquing Christians like that? It’s a confusing world, isn’t it?
You’re going to un-confuse me right now. I hope I can. Again, the Bible is the standard, the rule, the measuring stick. We have to measure what is being said and what is being taught against the Scriptures. I like that verse. He said, because there is no light in them. And today, more than ever, we have such a lack of knowledge on the part of preachers and lay people alike of the Scriptures. They just don’t really know their Bible. And I have a friend who interviewed a lot of pastors here in our city and he would ask them one of the questions, he would ask them, have you read the Bible all the way through?
He was shocked to find out that 50% of the pastors had not read the Bible all the way through. And he said, well, how can you be a pastor if you haven’t read the whole Bible? But that’s what happens. And I think some of them maybe even read half of the Bible. So you just have to compare what they teach, what they say against the Scriptures and make your choice and say, wow, they’re not in line with Scripture. Now, in the way of elections now, we’ve got problems because it’s hard to find anybody who’s going to line up exactly with the Bible.
So we just have to, I guess, pick the best choice if there is such a thing and say pray in the ward that we would find somebody who would be best standing up for our values in the office of whatever government office we like them to. it’s getting more difficult to find them because America is now no longer I think we’re shifting away from being the Christian nation that we were and the Bible being such a major part of our government and our philosophy and our way of life here in America that we’re now becoming more like pagans and the Bible doesn’t seem to count much or doesn’t count as much as it used to count in this country.
It’s a fuzzy thing and I know you always ask the hard questions and I hope that’s helped a little bit. Well, I got to ask you about Jesus. Now here’s the big thing. Is there anything in the Bible that Jesus mentions homosexuality? Anything? Well, he talks about in Matthew 19 about fornication. Now the interesting thing about that word fornication is the Greek word is Porneia from which we get our word pornography from and it really includes any kind of sexual deviation away from what got intended between a man and a wife.
So that would include homosexuality, lesbianism, and incest, and bestiality, and you name it, everything that was forbidden to the Old Testament is included in that and he’s really jumping back to the Old Testament and to what Moses had said in the law and giving us the quote there about the only reason why there could be a divorce is if one of the partners was involved in the publication, which is a much broader term than we generally think. And I think it includes all those things that were forbidden in the Old Testament.
So I think he’s encompassing all that in that passage for sure. Okay, Jesus, did he say at the moment of conception, anywhere in the Bible, that it is a human being? I don’t believe Jesus said that, but I think it’s implied about John the Baptist and also about himself that they apparently, if you read Luke chapter 1, when Mary became pregnant and went over to see Elizabeth, it says that the baby leaped in the womb in response to the fact that they were together and definitely implying that life was already underway and And there was a sensitivity to what was going on on the outside of that womb in the real world by those babies in the womb.
Okay, one question on Jesus. I’m learning. You know, I got to learn. Okay. Okay. At the time of Jesus, how was he referred to? Did he ever hear the word Christian? No. I think that came along later, but he was called the Messiah from the get-go. So the word Messiah, the Greek equivalent for Messiah is Christos and the English form is Christ or Christian comes from somebody who believes in the Messiah. So definitely the term was thrown around but it wasn’t until in the book of Acts till you get to Antioch as the gospel spread out that those believers became called Christians or they believed in the Messiah.
How did they refer to Jesus at that time? How did they approach him? Well, I think he was called Jesus of Nazareth. That’s exactly what they nailed on the sign on the cross. This was Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. That’s what Pilate put up there. That’s how he was addressed as the Nazarene or Jesus of Nazareth. He had been raised up there, but he was born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth. One final question on Jesus. If everybody would read and as you say the values that Jesus had and spread it around, we would be elected.
I think you’re right. There’s no question about that. I’d go to, I vote for Jesus. Everything of all the values. Thank you, Harold. I’m out of time. So we’re going to have to say goodbye to Harold and say goodbye to you. I hope you’ll keep looking up. Join us again tomorrow. and you can listen to this program again on the internet all day long. Have a great day. Keep looking out. The Bibleline, the presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida.

We have fun on this program, but it goes too quickly sometimes. We don’t have time to get all the callers. We have to say goodbye to a lot of them that we’re waiting on the line and we’ll try to catch them again tomorrow.
But we thank you for listening today and I hope you’ve enjoyed it. And pray for Harold. That Harold would come to know Jesus as his Messiah, as his Savior. And we appreciate all of you who listen and all of you that pray for and all those that give the Bibleline and how wonderful it is to see how God works. And we don’t have enough money to pay for this program. But you know God raises up people just like you who listen and say I’d like to be a part of that and that enables us to stay on the earth.
So pray for us. We’d like to come out on top in this month of October and we could sure you use your help at this point in the month. And I want to say thank you in advance and God bless you, all of you who pray for and all those who give to my blind.
We meet such wonderful people and I wish we were closer to some of you. Maybe I can visit some of your cities sometime and just to have a meeting where we could all come together and get to shake hands and get to talk about the scriptures and just get the meat a lot of our listeners. I’d love to do that. We might do that sometime. We might come to your city and if you would like us to do that, let us know because maybe we could get away of coming and spending a day or so and meeting together.
