And at the end of this month, November 26th, we’ll go live down in Miami, Florida on WMCU 1080 on the E.M. Dallopia, friends in South Florida, let them know that we’ll be back on the here in South Florida on November 26th of this month.
Exciting to be with you, and we know we are living in the last days. Christ is coming soon, and these are days to take advantage of the time that you’re God has given to us. The Bible tells us that we are to redeem the time. That means that the word redemption means to deliver by paying a price. We need to buy up time. As we all have the same amount of time in our lives and the same number of minutes in a day, we obviously have to take and make sure that we are using those minutes wisely and buying time out of our schedule every day to take time to serve the Lord and to give the gospel out, to learn His Word, to be in the Bible, and to do those basic things that every Christian ought to be doing.
So we’re living in a time when time is passing by quickly and the Lord will be back. And in the meantime, time is precious and we need to take advantage of the time we have to get the gospel of Jesus out to the world. You know, there are terms that are used by people that are really not the gospel, and yet you’ll hear them used all the time. For example, preachers will say, I want you to follow Christ tonight to be saved.
Come as the invitation is given. Well, that’s not a salvation invitation. We simply come to Christ and trust Him as the one who finished the work of salvation at to cross and receive his gift of eternal life, but we follow Christ to become fishers of men. You know, after Peter had already been saved, Christ asked him or tells him, follow me and I’ll make you a fisher of men. Following Christ has to do with the Christian life. And we obviously have a lot of people telling us that they follow Christ, but if they don’t ever lead a soul to Christ, they’re not really following Christ because Christ said in Matthew for 19, follow me and I’ll make you a fisher of men.
We need to obviously use our terms correctly. To be saved, one must believe or trust on the gospel message, the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ. And that message is hardly given anymore. People bypass it totally and just say invite Christ into your life. Well, that’s not the invitation for salvation either. I was told that in the church I was raised in and I did it every Sunday, but I was never saved, because we are not saved by inviting Christ into our life.
That’s not even scriptural. Nowhere does it ever say that. Christ coming into our lives and in dwelling us is a consequence of salvation, but not the means of salvation. The means of salvation is trusting that Christ died, shed his blood, was buried, rose again from the dead, when you trust in his finished work God saves you. Others say, Give your heart to Christ. He gave his only begotten son. So God is the giver. We’re the receivers. When we trust Jesus as our Savior, we receive the wonderful gift of everlasting life.
And I always wondered, I guess it’s my A plus B equals C mentality. I always wondered, I guess it’s my A plus B equal C mentality as I graduated in electrical engineering from the University of Florida. Why do preachers say, give your heart? Why don’t they say, give your liver? Give your kidneys. Give your thyroid to God to be saved. It’s just about a silly or crazy because we don’t give anything to God to be saved. We receive what God has done for us, the gift of God, the Bible says, the gift of God is eternal life.
And we receive that by trusting Christ as Savior. One of my favorite verses is John 1-12. It says to as many as received Him. To them God gave authority for them to become the sons of God. To those that believe or trust on His name. What a great verse. It tells us that we receive Christ in order to be saved. And when we receive Christ by the last phrase of John 1 12 tells us by trusting that Jesus is who he claims that he is.
That he is the God who would come and save us as he took on flesh at the cross of Calvary to pay for our sins. And so when we receive Christ, then God gives the authority for us to become born again, become his sons in his family, to as many as received him. Salvation is in a person, it’s in Jesus. And when we receive him by trusting that he died for us, then God gives our grand authority for us to become his sons.
So we find there that God is the giver, we’re the receivers, and yet people turn it around and say, give your heart to Christ. What’s wrong? That’s the exact opposite of what the Bible teaches. That makes you the Giver, that makes God the receiver. The Bible tells us that God is the Giver and we are the receivers. John 3 16 for God’s soul of the world that He gave His only begotten Son. We simply by belief or trust in Christ receive that gift and we will not perish but will have everlasting life.
Isn’t that wonderful? And that is of course the good news of the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. We are the receivers. God is the giver. And so to tell someone, give your heart to Christ is wrong. And I tease about it to get the point across, but why not give Him your big toe or why not give Him your thyroid or why not give Him your some other organ in your body, your kidneys. Obviously, God is not looking to get anything from you or me.
He is the one who is the giver and we’re the receivers. That was such great news for me. I was a teenager and I was concerned about where I had spent eternity and I had always thought that I had to work my way to heaven and I just didn’t see how that was ever going to be possible. I didn’t see how I’d ever be able to earn my way to heaven and work my way there and of course it’s impossible, isn’t it?
And so when I heard it was a gift that God had paid it all that I simply needed to receive it by trusting that Christ died and said, as blood for me. I was eternally saved at that moment. Boy, that was good news and it’s the best news you’re ever going to hear as well. We here a preacher say, surrender your life to Christ to be saved. Again, that has nothing to do with salvation. Surrendering your life is doing, it has to do with the Christian life.
It’s when you decide to say, Lord, here is my life, I will now live it for you that you You become a servant of Christ or disciple of Christ and you can earn rewards and blessings and joy and so on. Come as a result of you doing that. But we’re not saved by doing that. We’re saved by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ as Savior. You hear, preacher say, repent of your sins or turn from your sins to be saved.
Again, wrong. Because nowhere does the Bible ever say repent of sin. That phrase quote unquote, repent of sin does not even occur in your Bible. Not once. Not once. Yet I thought it had to be on almost every page because I heard it so often when I was young and They would always define it as turn from your sin. Nothing can be further from the truth truth the Greek word This translated repent is metanoia M-E-T-A Metamines change noia noia noia means mind the two words together metanoia mean a change of mind and that’s what the Bible says we have to change our mind mind about whatever we might be trusting in, to placing our trust in Jesus Christ as the only means by which we can enter heaven and God saves us.
That is the good news of the gospel. When you read through the book of Acts, you’ll find that it is almost in every case a change of mind about who is Jesus Christ because those that were being preached to at that time had rejected Christ thinking he was an imposter, a blasphemer. We find that they had him crucified, but it turned out that Jesus was the real thing. He came back from the dead to demonstrate that. And Peter would say, repent.
What does it mean? Change your mind. You guys made a big mistake. You crucified the Lord of the Lord. You crucified the Messiah, the true Savior who came and he demonstrates that he is the true Savior because he comes back from the dead. He is alive. Change your mind. Repent. Change your mind. It doesn’t mean turn from sin. My goodness. And what does that mean anyway? Turn from sin. Obviously every one of us have a sin nature and it’s impossible for us to ever live completely without sin.
It can’t happen as long as we’re in this body.” Paul is very plain to tell us that. In Romans 7, 18 he says, I know that is in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing for to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not. He says for the good that I would, I do not, but the evil that I would not, that I do. Wow! Paul the Apostle, thirty years after he’s saved, is telling us he has a struggle with a sinful nature.
And he tells us in verse 25 of Romans 7 that it would be Jesus who would deliver him from the body of this death. This body that we have, the sin nature that we have will finally get rid of it at death or at the rapture. But to say you have to turn from your sin to be saved is to add works to salvation. It doesn’t say for God so loved those who turn from your sin in John 3 16.
It says for God so loved the world. He loved every one of us. the Bible tells us he died for sinners. That’s right. He died for the ungodly. That’s us. That’s us. We’re all in that category. All have sinned and all have come short of the glory of God. And we’re not saved by turning or jumping or joining or walking or climbing or anything of self. The gift of God is eternal life. We receive it by trusting Christ as Savior.
Well, some preachers say, forsake all. And of course, that has nothing to do with the plan of salvation either. Fersaking all has to do with the Christian life, where you forsake all of your goals, all your values, all of your ambitions are set aside so that you might fulfill the will of God as a believer to say, Lord, I’ll go where you want me to go. I’ll do what you want me to do. I’ll say what you want me to say.
And so we obviously need to forsake all and say, Lord, I want to serve you foremost and utmost in my life. Well others say, turn over your life to Christ. That of course implies obedience and that’s true of the Christian life but not of salvation. We don’t turn over our life to Christ to be saved. We trust in the death of Jesus at the cross and the work that he performed at the cross for us, that’s how we become saved.
Boy, there is a lot of confusion up there and the author of confusion according to the Bible is Satan himself. It says in Corinthians that Satan is the author of confusion and look at the confusion. Preachers who ought to know better. Preachers who studied the Bible are mixing up things that relate to the Christian life with the plan of salvation which is Jesus said we do nothing butdinand receive it and amazingly they add works to salvation and it becomes a message that is a curse of God according to the Galatians.
1, 8, 9, and a message that will not save 1 Corinthians 1, 17. And obviously we need to be careful that we don’t corrupt the message by adding something of self, some human work to what God has already done. I’m saved and I’m saved eternally. And I was saved at the instant I trusted Christ at 18. I received eternal life at that moment and I still possess it today and will for all eternity. If you ever get salvation right, you receive it at the moment you believe and possess it forever.
You cannot be lost once you become saved because Christ is the one who keeps you saved once you become saved. I’m Dr. Franklin from this is Bible and we’re looking forward to talking to you today. We have people already calling in and you can call in on our number 1-800-576-3771 nationwide. anywhere in America you can call 1-800-576-3771 and be up on the air with us today. We just got an order for some materials and CDs from Sweden, from Stockholm.
We have people that listen in Europe and all over the world. We just added a new country to our list of countries. We have 151 countries now that have logged on to the Bibleline website. The new country is Caledonia, and this is New Caledonia, and it’s near Australia. And apparently somebody there has found Bibleline. We’re now up to 151 countries where people log on and catch our radio television and worship services right there on the internet. Well give us a call 1-800-576-3771 and we have Bill in Tampa, Florida and Bill, welcome to ByBlend You Are On The Air.
Oh, thank you. Dr. Hank? Yes. How are you doing this morning? Good, good. You know, I think a lot of the problem with people having with the salvation is the dynamic of it. They don’t realize that you’re saved by grace. But it goes on from there when you believe God gives you the free gift of the Holy Spirit And he said I’ll never leave you then I’ll never forsake you Well, I a problem saying well if you’re just saved by grace and you’ll go ahead and do all these other things And get off tight free.
Well can it you want but I’ve been listening to your your take how permanent of salvation. Yeah, I love that thing I not highly recommend it to everybody. If you ever have any doubts or fears, I listened to it about three times a week. It gives me by a lot of rough spots. Good for you. But listen, I’m kind of confused about a verse, Romans, and I started at Adversal that raised Jesus from the dead. Well, twice Jesus from the dead also give life to your mortal bodies through his spirit.
He dwells in you, so brethren, motivation not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. Or if you are living according to the flesh, you must die. But if by the Holy Spirit you are putting to death the deed to the body. Physical death, there is that spiritual death. That’s physical death there. If you are, and I’ve seen it so many times, I remember talking to a lady not too long ago and I thought she had to be maybe in her late 60s or early 70s, turned out she was in her early 40s.
Sin, alcohol and cigarettes and so on had just taken its tremendous toll on her body. I just couldn’t believe what I was looking at. And obviously these things can cause us to die early. And unfortunately, many do. I’ve buried several that have died by a drug overdoseulner20s. It should never have happened. A young man about 30 years of age of alcoholism, handsome, strong, bodied young man, but got addicted to alcohol and was drinking a fifth a day. He died and I just couldn’t believe it.
I said, wow, how can this happen to somebody so young that lets these different sins take their life? They will. And we, I need to be aware of that. So the Bible is giving us warning here. If we live after the Spirit of God, we’re going to really not only live, but we’re going to live life more fully. Or as it says in John more abundantly, we’re going to have what is called the abundant life. Now we get the maximum out of our day each day.
You know, I always think about how much time is wasted every day. How much time does it take just to brush your teeth and put your clothes on and, and make it happen? get yourself groomed up and get yourself ready for the day and and how much time has spent doing other things and those are of course necessary but how much time do we spend this vital and knowing nothing that’s going to count for eternity and if we just were to add it up and redeem that time and start using it for the Lord while what we can accomplish in our lives and so time is moving by and we need to maximize it and live fully for Christ every day and take advantage of the business that he gives us INCLUDbernth.
Ifbestos if AMERICAN. Sure296 SERVICAN. Jesus said, if your eye causes you to send, you’re plucking out and throw it away. It’s better for you to enter into lifebestos without an eye than to hell with both eyes and of course the hand and things like MODULEICAN. What was he referring to there? Wasapache kind of paying us into a corner saying that you can’t be righteous enoughoglu to get to heaven? Well, not only that, but it says anything that would hinder you from getting saved, it would be better to lose it.
And sometimes people that are physically whole don’t know what it is to trust in anyone else because they have no need of help. They’re fully capable of carrying out everything in this life. I remember talking to an attorney one time and somebody had set me up to talk to him about salvation and hadraught with him. And he said, look, he says, I don’t need your God. My house is paid for, my boat is paid for, my cars are paid for.
I have retirement money already and I’m just doing great. I’m in good health. See me maybe 30 years from now. Maybe I’ll need your God then but I don’t need your God. And so he didn’t want to hear about it. Well, sometimes when you lose something like an eye or have some disability, you really learn how you become dependent and others have to help you sometimes. And it’s that kind of dependence we have to have where we simply say, I can’t save myself.
I’m incapable of saving myself and I need a Savior and you come to know Christ as Savior. So I think it’s talking about it would be better to enter into life, maimed or halt, to enter into life completely whole and have everything working well in your life as far as your physical body and your mind and not realize that you have a need, a dependency that has to be there of you upon God to save you or you won’t make heaven.
Okay, I understand. Well, okay, I’ll let you go. I just want to say one thing that people would get that, how permanent is salvation and listen to it and when you finally understand what salvation really is that you can’t lift your little finger to do it. It’s all right. It’s all right. And for you, you will experience salvation in your heart. I mean, you feel so goody. You can’t stand it. When you sing Amazing Grace, it is amazing grace.
Amen. Well, thank you, Bill. And I know last year we had a number of people that said, I want to get my friend something that’s significant for Christmas. I want to get them saved. And so we had people coming by and getting bundles of those, how permanent is your salvation. Of course, we can mail them out to you. But they would give them out with a Christmas card or they wanted to get the gospel into the hands of people and it was very successful.
And it really does work. That only needs not only is helpful in leading us to Christ, but also it is very, very effective in giving you assurance of your salvation. Well, we’re gonna go now to Texas and we have anonymous in Texas and Welcome to Bible and okay mr. Anonymous Yeah, I have a question about salvation. When it comes to salvation, should we focus more on the book of Acts, the history book in the coming of salvation or other passages?
I mean, I know we want to incorporate it all. No, I wouldn’t go to Acts because… It has a lot of difficult passages in it and that’s where people who go astray usually go I would go to the gospel of John and stick there as as your primary source or the pistols. The book of Acts has statements which are accurately given to us under inspiration, but are actually the statements of unsaved people and the erroneous conclusions that they had drawn.
The sorcerer, they’re in Acts chapter 8 thought he could buy salvation. Peter told him repent. And of course the repent there was the changes mine realized that he was an error and he needed He needed to change his mind and trust Christ to be safe. Also have a question about a preacher or pastor. If I know of a pastor that has committed adultery, that has to be sat down. Or they shouldn’t be doing that. And I think if you have your bimolar Matthew 18 you ought to go and talk to him about it.
And I also have a question about them in 95 AD. Why did they end or did they didn’t resume? Tongues began at Pentecost which was around 8030 and I continued till the end of the first century around 1896 when the book of Revelation was completed the tongues and a number of others for tanking the gifts ended. You said they didn’t just end? They did end, yeah. Oh they did end. Okay. Okay. I’ll catch that right after the break because we are out of time and this first half hour has flown.
Again Bibleline is on every day and we are listeners supported and if you want to How Bible and you can do that by praying for us and also you could give a gift to Bible and would you consider calling in and helping Bible I know for this month of November we could use your help and you can do that by telephone. We’re gonna be right back. So don’t go away Stay right where you are Bibleline will be back in a moment.
Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Englund Sermann. This is Bibleline. It’s wonderful to be with you. Thanks for tuning in today to the Bibleline program. And we hope that you’re enjoying. We have people around the world, 151 countries now. The newest country is New Caledonia. and that is somewhere near Australia and they have found us. And so we have people in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Pacific Islands, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Central America, all over the world that have logged on to Baba Line and we’re excited about that.
We have those that view our worship services from all over the world as well. One of the interesting statistics is when our website opens up we have a seven minute video that is a presentation on how to be saved. We had last month of October 2007 we had 3,490 people that watched that presentation. Isn’t that exciting? About 3,500 people watched the seven minute presentation of how to be saved. And And by the way, that video presentation is available to be linked to your website.
If you’d like to do that, it’s free. Just go to my website and you’ll notice when that comes up on the right side, there’s a place there that tells you how you can link that to your website so that people that go to your site can then link to that seven minute video on how to be saved. Check that out. We certainly are excited about being with you every day and again, it costs money. We hate to talk about money.
I wish I didn’t have to, but we need your help to be able to do what we do. We can be your voice, but we need to have you help us make sure that we can pay the bills to stay on the air where we have gone. And we want to reach out to the whole world. We really do. And we’re very efficient. We don’t pay any salaries. And so all of our money really goes into airtime and satellite time and equipment time or equipment cost and the long-distance calls and all those kind of things.
All those expenses have to be paid for and the only source we have is our listeners. And thanks to God, He has supplied through people just like you. Would you consider giving a gift to Bible and for the month of November? Once again we are planning to go to Israel in February of next year, the last week on Monday and coming back on Friday of the first week in March. If you want to go give me a call and we’ll…
We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break and do the second half of Bibleline, so keep your radio tuned right where it is. And we’re going to do Bible in part 2, the second half hour right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Hank Lynch from All Right. We’re back from that break and this is Bible and it’s great to be with you.
It’s Tuesday and we’re excited about being with you all this week and hopefully you’ll be watching and listening all week long here on Bible and tell your friends about the program. You might have friends in other parts of the country. You might have friends right there locally in the city where you live. Get them to tune into the program. If they live in another country or outside the United States, they can also listen and they can go to the internet and go to Bibleline ministries.org or.com and if they click on the spinning globe they can get the radio programs.
If they click on the television set they can get our TV programs and if they click on the camera they can get our worship services. And by the way you can watch those lines on Sunday morning from 11 to 12. If you will just click on the camera on our website Bible Lion Ministries.org.com. We’re excited about what God is doing and we hope that you’ll be a part of that by telling your friends that you would pray for Bibleline and also if you could give a gift to Bibleline it would be greatly appreciated.
We could certainly use your help at this time and You can do that by cutting card over the phone or you can mail a gift if you need envelopes or an envelope with our address printed on it. We can mail that out to you. Just call. Our orders are very friendly and they will help you get whatever you need. If you need an envelope sent to you with our address, we can send it to you and you can send your gift to my blind and keep us on the air.
We are looking forward to having you join us every day and I hope you’ll maybe think about somebody else you could get to tune into the broadcast. Again, we have that how permanent is your Salvation CD and that is a wonderful resource. Not only for your own assurance as we had our caller last half hour bill who said he listens to it three times a week and sure helps him with his assurance. Well, it’s also a very powerful tool.
We hear of people getting saved all the time through listening to that CD. So if you get it in the hands of somebody who’s lost, if they listen to it, there’s a good chance that they’ll get saved. We’ve had that kind of results with it. So might be a good Christmas gift to include with a present or a card and get somebody to listen to that CD and get them saved. Then they’ll receive the true gift of salvation. Well, we had a Mr.
Anonymous there in Texas calling in and wanted to know why tongues ceased at the end of the first century. Well, the Bible said that they would. And the reason why was this, when Christ was rejected, God turned to the Gentiles and God said that for this whole age during which the Gentiles would be the ones that would be used of God as his witnesses that Jewish people would then be witnessed to in Gentile languages. And that’s exactly what’s happening.
I’ve had many, many Jewish people to Christ here and in Israel and other places. And I have found that when I talk to them about the Lord, I talk to them in English, a Gentile language, not in Hebrew. And that is a fulfillment of prophecy. What happened at Pentecost was all those at Jerusalem when the Holy Spirit was given and the church age began were all Jewish people and many of them were there from Gentile countries. There were Jews of the Desporah and they were there on Pentecost and God had to give the gift of tongues so that these Jews could be led to Christ on day one in a Gentile language and that’s exactly what happened.
It says, how is it that every one of us here in the language in which we were born and raised? That’s Acts 2.8. That word language there is the Greek word dialectos. It means a specific dialect of a specific language. People were there from all over the world. Sixteen countries are listed there next to. God Spoke. They allowed them to have the language of that person’s homeland and that very dialect in which they were born and raised with to lead them to Christ in a Gentile language so they didn’t get saved on Pentecost by hearing the Gospel in Hebrew.
They heard it in a Gentile language. As time went on and as the Gospel went out, Gentiles began to be saved all over Europe and Asia at that time. And so the gift was no longer necessary. Right today is not necessary because Jews in Germany are witnessed by Christians in Germany speaking in Germany and Jews in Italy are witnessed by Christians in Italy speaking in Italian. And Jews here in America are witnessed to and led to Christ all the time in English.
So we don’t need the gift of languages anymore in his ceased. And that’s the main reason why and that’s exactly what you find there in 1 Corinthians 14, Paul explains why tongues was given.Wikipedia It says with men of other tongues and other lips, well, I speak unto these people, and yet for all that they will not hear me. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to those that believe, but to those that believe not. So tongues were given to reach the lost and to reach them in their very language.
That’s not happening today with the gibberish movement and the gibberish is not of God and is not the biblical gift. The real gift was to be able to speak in a known foreign language, the very dialect of that language, and use it for evangelism and lead people to Christ. But as the gospel went out and Gentiles became saved, you don’t need to give me the gift of English because I already speak English. And so I’m able to lead JewishGGGGGGGG to Christ in English here in America and around the world that’s taking place at this very hour.
I hope that helps. We’re now going to go to Armando in Saint Petersburg and welcome to by blind Armando. Good morning. Chapter 9 verse 26. Can you go there with me? I’m going to ask you when did this took place? Chapter 9 26. Did it happen right after his conversion or later? Okay. Okay, it says here in Acts 9, 26, when Saul was come to Jerusalem to join himself to the disciples, they were all afraid of him and believe not that he was a disciple.
This is after he got saved and now he goes back to Jerusalem and because he had a track record of beating up Christians, and throwing him in jail and so on, people were afraid of him. They didn’t want to believe that this was really the same guy that had been Saul but now is the Apostle Paul. Then Well, we know there that Paul went up to Jerusalem and He He says that they didn’t add anything to what he had known the Lord personally taught Paul We believe after he became saved and apparently for a three-year period So he had the same length of training that the other apostles had but he had Jesus give him a personal instruction.
And so it says here, neither when I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me, but I went into Arabia and returned again under Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and abode him with him for 15 days. And other of the apostles saw a nun save James the Lord’s brother and we find here that he’s telling us that he knew everything that they knew because he had been taught by the Lord apparently during those three years in Arabia.
So he did went to Jerusalem. Apparently so but then he went to Arabia and then he was taught for three years. Then he went back to discuss man of repeater and James and he found that he had been taught by the Lord and knew exactly what they knew and he was not deficient in anything. Okay, so he’s talking about, if we got to his revelation that he didn’t get it from their post post in Jerusalem but directly from the Lord.
Exactly. Exactly. Okay. Thank you so much. Paul. He received instruction from the Lord himself and not from men. So he didn’t sit under Peter and get taught by Peter. He was taught directly by the Lord. We now have Mike in Seminole, Florida and Mike, welcome to Bibleline. Hi there, Dr. Lindstrom. I have a question from Matthew, chapter 8. Can you go to verse 11 and 12, please, and explain to me what’s happening there in verse 12 and I’ll hang up and listen to you on the radio.
Okay. We’ll do it. Thanks a lot. I’ll met you 11, chapter 8, verse 11 and 12. It says here that I say unto you that many shall come from the east and the west and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. That’s the Millennium, that’s the Thousand Year Rain of Christ, but the children of the Kingdom shall be cast into outer darkness and there shall be weeping and ash and teeth. It’s talking here about the very ones who should enter the Kingdom, which are the Jewish people, many of them will not because they will not receive the Lord as their Savior, but there will be many from the east, the west, and the south, and so on that will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven that are Gentiles, but the children of the
Kingdom is referring here to those of Jewish ancestry who will not enter in because they do not trust the Lord of Saviors. Not talking about somebody’s say being lost, but it’s talking about the children for whom the Kingdom was promised. You know, God promised this to Israel that there would be this Kingdom here on the earth for a thousand years and that the Jewish nation would be the head nation on the earth, but many of the nation of Israel will not enter into that kingdom because they will not be believers, only believers enter in and there will be many Gentiles that will enter in, but the very children that should be entering in, many of them will not, but they will be cast into hell because they reject Christ as their Savior.
So it doesn’t matter whether you’re Jewish or Gentile, you need to trust Christ in order to be saved. so much for that call. We’re going to try to take a few off-air questions and by the way our phone number if you want to call in is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771, nation what? Anywhere in America you can call and get us and we’ll get you up on the air. Patty in Tampa, Florida calls in, she says, I want to show about Nostradomesis, prophecy, and the Mayans in the year 2012, Befield 2012 is a possible date for Armageddon.
Well Armageddon will take place seven years after the Rapture and so if the Rapture happened this year maybe so but it looks like 2007 is going to close out on us here without the Lord coming back and that would mean if you had 7 that it would perhaps be after 2012. Maybe 2012 would be the possible date for the rapture. I don’t know. But it is interesting that the mind calendar ends in the year 2012. Many feel like this is a significant date and that something in very, very significant will take place on the planet.
So I don’t know. By the way, Master Danis, I can’t make any sense out of his prophecies are so general that amazing what people read into those things. The Bible though is quite specific. It means specific cities, specific events. It lets you have real figures that can be seen in real history that you can actually calculate out. There’s quite a bit of difference between the Nostronamus and the Bible. Plus the Bible never is wrong. Most of us has been wrong.
We have Jack in Albany, New York. And he says, in John 1030, Jesus says, I and the Father are one. How come then in Mark 1332, Jesus doesn’t know the time of his return. Isn’t Jesus God? Well, there’s a problem with the translation there. And this is what is going on there. And I discovered this. Usually, years ago I was reading in the Amplified Bible and normally you wouldn’t look up some of the small words. The strongest chords we have here at our Resource Center has every the, every thou, every end, every butt, every shelf and it gives you the original word and how it’s translated throughout the Bible.
So, it’s a very helpful tool and I probably would have never looked up the word butt. Let me see if I can find this passage on it says here. In verse 32, but of that day and that hour, no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son but the father. Now, I found out by reading the Amplified Bible that it could be translated the word but there can be translated if not. And that’s probably the correct translation.
So what it’s saying here, of that day in that hour, no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son, if not the Father. That changes everything. So Jesus is omniscient. He is the Father, and certainly he knows. And this verse is not saying that he doesn’t know. It says here, neither the Son, if not the Father. So they obviously equally know. I think that’s the correct answer. So if you have an amplified Bible, look at that verse in the amplified.
And again, I have to be honest, I wouldn’t have looked up the word but I look up words often and find out that it really helps when you find out the original word and the meaning from the Greek rather than the English definition. So I believe that translation is correct and amplified, but it’s neither the son if not the father. Thank you for that question. And that was Jack in Albany, New York. We now have Orlando in Orange City, Florida.
And Orlando, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Good. One is what’s your, I don’t know if you had studied on your opinion on, you know, when a person dies, when a person is sick, if it’s okay, when a person is turning all these sick and suffering physically and physically in pain, for that person to be injected some kind of a drug to end his life because of his painful illness. and why don’t I don’t believe in euthanasia. I don’t think we ought to take somebody’s life.
Now, I think that you can obviously take them off. I supported if they are clinically dead. And I saw that happen rather recently, where we had a woman had gone into a coma and was brain dead. There was no sign of life whatsoever. And all the doctors said that she would not ever come back to life, but they could maintain her body. And so they did pull off the equipment and she died. And she was a Christian and she’s in heaven today.
But the technology today allows for you to keep a body going, even though the person is dead. And so I don’t believe we ought to do that. But definitely to take somebody’s life, even though they’re near death, I think it would be wrong. that would be something we should not do. These are tough questions that we’re living with today because of our technology, but definitely I think we’re not to take somebody’s life, but if somebody is really dead, I don’t think we should maintain their body and keep it going.
Okay, thank you. All right, I hope that helps. These are difficult questions and no doubt for those that are actually involved in this loved one. It’s very, very painful and very difficult for them. We have Saul in Bradenton, Florida, and he calls in and leaves an offer question and it’s in the book of Jeremiah. Let me see if I can get back there and find it. Jeremiah chapter 10 verses 1 through 3, Saul in Bradenton, Florida, asked this off air.
He says here, Thus saith the Lord, verse 2, learn not the way of the nations, be not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the nations are dismayed at them, for the customs of the people are vain, for one Kenneth the tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workmen with the axe, and they deck it with silver and with gold, they fast it with nails and hammers that it moved on. Well, that’s talking about the Christmas tree, but the tree here is really a way of worshiping and commemorating the birthday of Bail.
So Bail worship and Bail supposedly was born on December 25th. Was celebrated by taking a tree that didn’t lose its leaves in the winter time and ever green tree and cutting it down and bringing it home, nailing it up and decking with some You ever heard of such a custom? It’s kind of crazy isn’t it? Well, in the 4th century AD, Constantine came along and declared the world to be Christian. And so the names changed, but the customs remained the same.
And so the cutting down of a tree to celebrate you. Now the birthday of Christ because now Christ’s birthday began to be celebrated for the first time in hundreds of years. You know, the early Christians did not celebrate the birth of Christ. It wasn’t until the fourth century. Really what was taking place was they were celebrating Bales’ birthday on December 25th. And now the names change and now it’s not bail, but it’s Jesus. That’s how paganism brought the tree into our observance here in the winter time.
Hopefully that helps a little bit. Thank you for calling in Saul and Brandon Forta. We now have Tom in Riverview, Florida. Tom, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Earth. Good morning, sir. I had to go about the loved one or the person that’s suffering and dying. One thing to remember that at the time of death, All those things are going to be completely forgotten anyway. If a person is saved, they’re going to be in the presence. Unfortunately, if they’re not, their reward is going to be one whereby they would not recall that anyway.
And then the second aspect of that is that God brings all things into our life, not only for our good, but for the good or for the necessity of those around us, watched my father die with throat cancer. And it was a very painful experience. And it was a fast, you know, said, well, you know, would you just put him out of his misery? But the thing is, the time that he had gave him opportunity to, you know, to careers to make something up.
And you know, just to close out life, you know, in a very special and genuine way. And I just, you know, for that call and others that have that concern, just to evaluate that. brings all things into our life for a purpose ultimately for his glory and I’ll listen if you have any comments God bless you. Okay Tom you’re right and I agree with you on that and excuse me and obviously we’re not to take somebody’s life but but today if you don’t make that decision before the death of that person they can keep resuscitating you and keeping that body life even though yearly you’re already dead.
We have now Albert and Albert is in Richmond, Virginia and Albert welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. And Revelation 7, make that between 8 and 9 after they got to 144,000. I heard a friend of mine said it was going to be 144,000 you see but I know that’s not right there. I think I thought they were evangelists during the tribulation but why does it say they preached right there. I don’t see it. Well, the 144,000 are the Jewish evangelists during the tribulation period.
They’re sealed. I believe with the Holy Spirit at the very beginning of the seven-year tribulation period. And their ministry continues for just three and a half years. In chapter 14, we see them all in heaven, martyred by that time halfway through the tribulation period. And I think it’s implied that they preach because the The next verse talks about millions and millions of people that are saved of all different nations as a result of their evangelism. So I think it’s implied there in verse 9.
Okay, thank you. Thank you for calling in up there in Richmond, Virginia. Boy, the time flies so quickly here at Bible. If you want to call us, our nationwide number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. You are welcome to call us. And again, I hope if you have family or friends or relatives or missionaries anywhere in the world, you would tell them about the MyBlind website because you can listen to this program live on the internet any time of day or night.
We now have Martha on the line and Martha welcome the Bible and you’re on the air. Yes, good morning Martha from Bradenton. With a talk about keeping people alive, maybe curious, are they still keeping Ariel Chiron alive? Yes they are. He’s in a coma and apparently they were just this past week I think doing some surgeries to close up his skull. They said more or less for cosmetic reasons, but he is definitely still in coma. I think it’s a political hot potato and they just are wanting to keep his body going.
So I don’t think that Sharon will ever wake up and ever be able to do anything should he wake up. They don’t expect him to and I think they don’t want to… He’s not going to be able to deal with it right now and they’re keeping him, his body going. Okay, thank you. Okay. Yeah, Sharon in Israel is still being kept alive on machines. And that’s interesting along with this whole discussion. Anyway, I hope everybody listening is trusted, Christ is our Savior.
If you haven’t, just tell the Lord right now. I am a sinner and I trust Jesus right now as the only means of isolation, trusting that Christ died and shed his blood and paid for my sins, was buried and rose again from the dead and then he’s the only means by which I can enter heaven. The moment you trust Christ as your only hope of heaven, God saves you and that’s what’s the most important thing you can do. You want to help Bibleline?
We need your prayers. We need your financial support. We are listening to support it and you can help us by giving a gift by credit card over the phone.
