Christ And obviously has to take place after you become saved into baptism There’s no such thing in the Bible. It’s not biblical. It’s it’s unbiblical and Obviously that doesn’t count if you have baptized by whatever means Prior to your salvation that doesn’t count so you need to really get baptized After you become safe by the way if you wait till February of next year if we’re still here We’ll bad times you in the Jordan River If you want to go on that trip with us, we just baptized 12 on this last trip just a couple of months ago in the Jordan River in Israel.

We hope you’re having a great day and by the way we finished our teaching on 2nd Peter. What a great book. Obviously the Lord gave us that wonderful book to warn us about how to be prepared for the time in which we’re living in right now. And you know 2nd Peter is one of those great books. and hates it. The liberal theologians hate it. They love to have it ripped out of the Bible. And, you know, Satan is good at about keeping people from reading what Peter has had to say.

We have got these two teachings now. Ten hours of teaching on Second Peter, ten hours of teaching on First Peter, they’re available, you can call and order them on CD or DVD. And you can enjoy those teachings and use them maybe, not only for your personal use, but also to facilitate a or a home study. I think you’ll enjoy those. Don’t forget to check out our website, check out the Resource Center, and check out all the wonderful things we have.

We have the Go Feel Bible and we have it in Spanish. The Bible is a book that has one edition that has both. On the left side you’ll find it in English, King James, with the Schofield notes and on the right side. It’ll be the Spanish text with the Schofield notes in Spanish. That is a beautiful Bible. We have much more and we hope you’ll take a look at what we have. We have a marvelous book here called Things to Come by Dwight Pentecost.

That’s one of the greatest books to help you get your perspective. right on prophecy, so many different crazy ideas, and this book brings sense to everything. Dwight Pentecost, a great writer, and we have a lot of his books in our Resource Center, but this one is a classic thing to come. Thick book, very, very helpful in understanding prophecy and showing you the different positions and why they’re wrong and what the correct position is. We’re going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes, so we’re going to take our call as you can call us at 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2.15, study to show thyself approved unto God as a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Now obviously it tells us where to study our Bible and that implies a little more effort and a little more concentration than just to read the Bible. A lot of people say they’ve read the Bible through but have you ever taken time to study? Then it says there to study to show yourself approved.

The approval that is talking about in 2 Timothy 2, 15 is approval before God at the judgment seed of Christ where all believers one day will give an account for what they’ve done since they’ve been saved as to the degree of reward or loss of reward they will have as they enter heaven. Salvation is a gift. It’s received when you trust Christ as your Savior, but every believer one day give an account for rewards and their works will be judged to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward as they enter heaven.

So as a believer, you want to find yourself approved, and in order to do that, you need to study the Word of God to find out what God wants you to do and how He wants you to do it. And to follow the pattern, the blueprint that’s in the Bible will allow you to be a workman that will be approved one day for rewards and God’s blessing in eternity as well as blessings here and now. 2 Timothy 2 15 is the verse we’re talking about, studying to show thyself approved, not for salvation.

That occurs when you trust Christ as your Savior and believe or trust in his death and shed blood, purchase your salvation. And when you trust in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection, as the means of your salvation, as the only means of your salvation, God saves you. But then as a Christian, after you are saved, you ought to serve the Lord and you need to study to find out what to do so that you could be approved when you stand before the Lord at the Judgement of Christ.

And it says there as a workman, obviously we don’t study the Bible to become a bookworm. I had a wrong impression as a child that Christians like to just become bookworms. But we don’t study to be a bookworm, we study to be a workman. In other words, the whole purpose is that we’re going to serve, we’re going to be living for Christ and accomplishing his purposes. The Bible tells us what we ought to do and how we ought to do it.

You need the study so you can be a workman. Then it goes on to say that it does not need to be ashamed. There will be believers ashamed at the Joseph and C. of Christ. That’s what James is warning his readers about in James chapter 2. When he talks about Faith Without Works’ days, he’s talking about Christians who have no will have no rewards. And as a consequence, they will suffer the loss of reward. There will be regret, sorrow, tears, and shame.

This verse tells us that if you study to be approved for that judgment when we stand before the Lord, as a workman, you will not have to be ashamed. God will bless you and reward you for your faithful service, and a Christian does not have to be ashamed. So that’s what James is morning about. James is talking to Christians about getting off their blessed assurance and doing something significant for God. And as we do that according to the Bible and following the orders and the instructions given in God’s Word, then we’ll be able to have rewards.

Then it says in the last phrase is a 2 Timothy 2, 5, 2, 15, rightly dividing the word of truth. This is where many go wrong and obviously rightly dividing means that we take the word God and we divide it. There is a tremendous difference between the first coming and the second coming of Christ. There is a tremendous difference between the rapture and the second coming of Christ. There is obviously a difference between what happens to the believer and what happens to the unbeliever.

a difference between what happens to the believer and what happens to the unbeliever. And also there are two separate judgments, one for the believer that will determine the degree of reward or loss of reward in heaven, called the Judgement of Christ, described in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 verses 11 through 15. But there’s another judgment for unbelievers, what the unbelievers will have, their works to determine the degree of punishment and hell described in Revelation chapter 20 verses 11 through 15.

So you’ll find that if you’re a believer you’re not going to be at the great white-thorn judgment, you’re going to be at the judgment state of Christ. If you’re an unbeliever you’re not going to be at the judgment state of Christ, you’re going to be at the great white-thorn judgment. You have to be able to separate out. You have to separate between salvation and the Christian life. So many preachers mix it all together in one great big mixing bowl and leave you in me mixed up if we listen to them because there is a difference between being saved and a difference between that and being a servant of Christ or a follower of Christ.

After we become saved then we are to become followers of Christ and when we follow Christ Matthew 4 19 says, follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. So a disciple is one who pursues following Christ in order to become a fisher of men. But to be saved you simply come to Christ and trust in the finished work that Christ accomplished for us on the cross of Calvary.

So many times believers are confused because preachers use terms that are related to discipleship for salvation. For example, how many times have you possibly heard a preacher say, I want you to follow Christ today. I want you to take a miscross and follow Christ for sake all and make him the Lord of your life. Well, everything I just said now has nothing to do with salvation. That has to do with the Christian life. And yet, people don’t rightly divide and preachers don’t even rightly divide.

But let me just quote to you from Luke 14 verse 27, where it says, who’s sover to thought, bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Let’s not say, you can’t be saved. It says you cannot be my disciple. There’s a difference between being saved and being in the cycle. That’s called rightly dividing the word of truth is to be able to separate that out. It says a little bit later here in verse 33 of Luke 14, so likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaken thought all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

So it doesn’t say you can’t be saved, but to be a disciple, you have to be willing to forsake all that you have. You have to be willing to take up Christ’s cross. be willing to follow him and come after him. And all of these are requisites for being a disciple, not for being saved. To be saved we come just as we are, lost and headed for hell, and just simply trust in the finished work of Christ at the cross.

I hope you’ve done that. And unless you’ve trusted Christ and Christ alone, apart from all human works, you’ll not be saved. As believers, we need to write and divide, and that will enable us to be clear in our presentation. Most Christians are not clear. They’re not able to present a clear presentation on how to be saved, and they’re all over the place, and many preachers the same way. We’ll tell you that salvation is by grace, but then you have to go to mass, you have to do penance, you have to go to confession, you have to turn over your life to Christ, you have to give Him your heart, and all kinds of things which are some of them, unbiblical, not even Christian.

And yet we’re told to do those things in order to go to heaven. That’s why you’ve got to get into your Bible study, 2 Timothy to 15 to show thyself approved in the gun as a workman. That needeth not to be ashamed rightly divided nor the truth. This is a salvation verse. It’s not a Christian life verse. It’s not a salvation verse. A salvation verse would be like John 3 16, where the lost person has told how to be saved, that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

But 2 Timothy 2 15 is talking to the Christian now, and it’s a discipleship verse. It’s a, Christian life verse and it’s a verse where we’re told as believers to study to show ourselves approved one day when we stand at the gentleness of Christ as workmen that don’t have to be ashamed but will be rewarded for our faithful service because we have rightly divided the word of truth. We have separated the doctrines and made clear the distinction between salvation and discipleship between the first coming in the second coming between the rapture and the second coming between heaven and hell and the many different options of the bible we need to separate out and make it very very clear i’m doctoring linson this is by blind we’re glad you’re listening in the day it’s monday we’re now going to go to the phone lines and you’re welcome to call in the

phone numbers one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one and we’re going to go right now to st peterburg florida and we’re going to talk to uh… edman and edman welcome to bible and you’re on the air and then are you there okay go you’re on the air speak up your own year hello i’ve been and doctor lintzer model like to know uh… question please what is the poll what is the purpose what happens to it after we die on a all right at the end The soul is the real you.

When you die, the soul continues on and the soul goes directly to the Lord if you are a believer. Second Corinthians 5, 8 says, absent from the body, present with the Lord. The Bible says that if you are an unbeliever at the moment of death that you will be absent from the body and you will be present in Hades, which you will never get out of not going to hell but you’ll be cast into hell eventually after Satan as angels are cast in.

But the soul is the real person, the real you, and the Bible tells us in Matthew chapter 10, this is a fascinating verse where Jesus tells us as believers, as disciples. He says, fear not them which can kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. The soul does not die, it will live on forever and ever. First Corinthians 15 tells us that the soul is an ever-living soul that God created from the very beginning and our souls will never die.

So you’ll either be in heaven forever as a believer in Christ or you’ll be in hell forever as an unbeliever, but your soul is the real you and you’ll be there forever. Edmund, thank you for your call from St. Petersburg, Florida. We now have a caller from Newport, What do you think we have, Tina, on the line? And Tina, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hi, Tina. You’re on the air. Okay. I believe he’s telling what I was going to ask, but about where the, when we die, I’ve always heard and read, and I’m a believer that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

I cannot find those words in that particular way because then I have a follow-up question saying in 1 Thessalonians, the fourth chapter where it says that the dead and when Christ comes back the dead and Christ shall rise first. Well if we die, the believers die and go to heaven, then why do we need, does it need to say or who are they talking about when it says the dead in Christ arise first. Great question. You know, two of the answers, 2 Corinthians 5a, 2 Corinthians 5a, absolutely the body present with the Lord.

Now in 1st thessalonians, you read about the dead rising 1st, that’s referring to the body. The soul upon death goes immediately to be with the Lord, but you will not get your new body. So the time of the Rapture when Christ comes back and if you read verse 14 in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4, it says, If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, that’s the gospel. Jesus then will bring back with Him the souls of those that have died.

So they’re with Him and their souls are with Him. But their new bodies will rise up from the earth and is speaking about those that have already died that are believers. Their souls are with Christ. He’ll come back with those souls. Their new bodies will rise up from the earth. and they will be united. Soul and body, their resurrection bodies, and they’ll forever be with the Lord. Then we which are alive and remain at the event there, which is the rapture, will be caught up and meet them in the air and will be given our new bodies at that particular time.

So it’s talking about the body as compared to the soul. The soul goes to be with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord, but you don’t get your body, but those that have already died, get their bodies first so they’re dead in Christ. Those that have died as believers will come back with Christ, their new bodies will rise up from the earth and they get their bodies before we do, who are living. And when we are caught up to meet the Lord, just a second later, we get our new bodies.

Because I had searched and I had tried to find that particular universe that says to the absent from the body, I’ve always said it, I’ve always told people, but I said sometimes it may be as though you hear something and then you kindly add your own little thing to it. So is this actually true that to be absent from the body? Is to be present with the Lord. Absolutely. And I believe that. And if that is true, then I didn’t understand the pardon Thessalonians for it.

It said the dead and Christ shall rise first. How can I rise again if I’m already with him? That’s what we just explained. the body, Dina, your souls with the Lord, then your body will be raised from the earth at the return of Christ of the Rapture. I hope that helps. I hope that helps out. I think all believe us now because I kind of thought maybe it had something to do back with the old time saints of the Bible that, you know, Abraham through righteousness and all.

Nope, it’s not. And I was just wondering about us. I’m not talking about it. If I died right now my soul would go to be with the Lord. But if the rapture happened to week from now my body would not rise up from the earth until next week. So the dead, I would be one of those that would be considered the group that have died since Pentecost. And my body would be waiting to rise at that event. But my soul would already be with the Lord.

So let’s talk about the body. Okay, because there again it brings another question, I mean another thought in my mind, I’m always thinking these things, that it says, just thou art and dust return it. So therefore our soul has already, I mean our body has already decayed if we were in the grave, you know, before the rapture. And our body has decayed. So that was what was confusing me. I couldn’t kind of put that together then that the dead in Christia rise first.

I like that you’re gonna get a brand new body and and apparently it will be a material body that will Rise up from here to meet the Lord of the year Tina Thank you so much for your call and I hope we brought some clarification there want to take time to say hi to the folks in Miami and say good body guys as Miami signs off a little earlier than other areas and we appreciate all the nice calls and nice It’s a nice word of encouragement from you folks down in South Florida.

And again, we certainly need your help to be able to continue. We’re not self-supporting in South Florida yet. We need your help. And if you could give a gift to Bibleline today, that would be wonderful. And you can do that by credit card over the phone or ask for an envelope to be mailed to you and send your gift in. But God bless you all and we appreciate you all in Miami and I know that in a few more seconds you will be off the air and you’ll catch us on the Internet though for the full hour and you can go back and review these programs on the Internet at your pleasure at BibleLineMinistries.org.

BibleLineMinistries.org. I hope you’ll take a look at that. Wow, we are coming up on our break time and maybe we’ll take it off here a question here. We have Joe in Pembroke, Pines, Florida, and he says in Hebrews 1028-29, what does drawback mean pertaining to these unsaved people? First of all, Joe, these are not talking about unsaved people. In Hebrews chapter 10, it’s talking about saved people who, despite to the spirit of grace, by not living for Christ as a believer.

It talks about two things there that God will judge you and discipline you as a delinquent believer and also that you’re going to suffer the loss of reward. So there’s a warning there about those who draw back and do not serve a Lord as a Christian. You’ll not be lost, but you will be judged by the Lord. the Lord. It says the Lord shall judge His people in verse 31. So we know that the Lord is going to judge those who are His, those that are believers and you will suffer the loss of reward.

It says in verse 35, cast not away there for your confidence for it has great recompense of reward. So rewards are based upon your service and obviously as a believer you need to get back serving the Lord. But nowhere does it talk about unsaved people here. This is talking about throughout the entire chapter, people that are born again, that are saved by the blood of Christ. But in verse 29 it talks about those who do despite the spirit of Christ and trot underfoot the blood of Christ, whereby they have been sanctified.

And God says, I’m going to judge them. I’ll spank them for their delinquency in order to bring them back on course to serve me. But if they don’t, then they’ll suffer the loss of reward. Joe, I hope that helps answer that question. We’ve got to go to break. We’ll come back and do a second half hour Bibleline. I hope you’ll stay tuned and give us a call here at 1-800-576-3771. Don’t forget we are going to Israel this coming February.

If you’d like to go with us, call and get your name on the list so we can send your brochures as soon as we get them and let you know what our plans are. Gotta run. We’ll take a break. We’ll be right back and do another half hour. So stay tuned, I’ll be right back after this break. Don’t go away, Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Englund, it’s great to be with you today.

Thanks again for tuning in to the broadcast. We’re excited about Bibleline and what’s happening, and we get many wonderful calls and letters and words encouragement from believers who are really appreciative. But talk to a fellow from South Florida just the other day and he said that Bibleline is the greatest thing that’s happened in his Christian life. And we’re excited that he feels that way, that we have been a blessing to him. So many tell me that they just really enjoyed the program.

Talk to a gentleman this morning who is out of range of our broadcast now and he says, I keep hoping that you’ll be on the air in my area and we hear many requests for that as well. We also have people that say, I wish I could attend your church. And we tell them, guess what? You can watch our worship services online. BibleLineMinistries.org, all you have to do is go to the homepage, click on the camera. You can catch a year’s worth of sermons all sitting there.

And a lot of people just really haven’t picked up on the fact that you can actually be there in a sense by watching and listening to the worship service online. Plus, we have many, many teaching series that I’ve done, 10 hours or 12 hours of teaching that are on CD or DVD, and you can purchase those through our resource center and watch them in your living room and be as though you were in the classroom with me, studying your Bible along with me.

I tell you, there’s nothing better. We hear people all the time tell us how that this is such a great thing. We can hardly keep 2nd Peter on the shelf. In fact, they said this morning we have to make more copies of 2nd Peter because people are buying them. And we’re glad because this is such a wonderful book to equip the Christian at this particular time in history where we believe Christ returned is so near and Peter wrote to equip the believer of this time and the devil hates the book of 2 Peter.

He doesn’t want you to know its contents but we have it available if you want to get the 10 hours of teaching on 2 Peter. We also have the 10 hours of teaching on 1 Peter and you can get the rise of Peter. You know, Peter is ignored. If only people would read and believe and teach and preach what Peter taught, we would have churches coming back online with the truths of God’s Word. Unfortunately they’re not doing that. I’m Dr.

Hank Lindstrom and this is Bibleline and we’re going to go back into a second half hour of Bibleline. Again, I encourage you to pray for Bibleline and if you can, give a gift of Bibleline to keep us on the air. And we’re going to right now rejoin stations that don’t break into the second half hour. So keep your radio tuned right where it is as we do Bibleline 2.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576. 3-7-7-1. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lynch from All Right. We’re back from that break and this is by the end and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. From our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor. We just look forward to being with you each and every day and I hope you are enjoying the program as much as we enjoy bringing it to you.

We are located in Tampa, Florida. We’re located in one block west of the Tampa International Airport. We’re easy to find. Whenever you come to find Bibleline, as you head toward the Tampa International Airport, you’ll find all the highways, the major roads, the interstates, all come right by the airport. And so therefore, you can quickly find us. And we’re on the west side just the block west of the, and block the west of the main north-south runway of Tampa International Airport.

And if you get more than a block away, you can know that you’ve done something wrong. Go ahead on back to the airport, because we’re right on the west side of block away from the perimeter road, which is Eisenhower Boulevard running north and south. And George Road is one block further west running north and south. We hope you’ll come by. I’d love to meet you. We’re here every day Monday through Friday till about 4.30 in our Resource Center is open.

You can come in and take a look around and we’ll give you the red carpet treatment. We’d love to shake your hand and we’d like to get to meet you and I hope you’ll get a chance to meet us. Also, you can come by on a worship day and this coming Sunday is the third Sunday when we really like to recommend that people come from a distance to join us on that baby because we can feed you. We have a third Sunday dinner every month and if you come at 10.30 and sit in our worship service then you can stay and be my guest and stay for the wonderful meal that will be after the morning worship service and that will kind of make it a day.

This third Sunday though we are also going to have a baptism at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. If you have not been water baptized since you have been saved you might want to be a part of this and if you don’t have a church home that will baptize you by a mercy will be happy to include you. I think it’d be an honor to baptize you and to be a part of your testimony in sharing how you have been saved by the blood of Christ.

You’ve been washed of your sin by the blood of Christ and now you want to demonstrate that with water which is symbolic. Well in any case we love to have We are thinking about another trip to Israel in February of the Lord doesn’t snatch this out this year. If he takes us out, we’re canceling the Israel trip, but otherwise we’ll plan to go. It’ll be trip number 16 for me. It’s a wonderful experience. You cannot go on a trip like this and not come back changed because the Word of God is so powerful and as you study it all day long, every day on the trip, on location where the events have taken place, it’s life changing.

doubt about it. It’s a thrill for me to observe that it changed in those who go with me and it’s always a thrill to be in the places where the biblical events took place. But I know it’s going to change your life and that’s really it’s a ministry we believe to get people discipled on a day by day Bible study right on site in the land of Jesus. Well think about and get us a call and get on the list and we’ll mail you a brochure.

It doesn’t mean you’re going to go, but you’re interested and we’ll make sure that you get all the information. We are now going to go back to our fun lines. We have some callers waiting for us. We have Harold down in Sarasota, Florida, and Harold, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Hey, Dr. Lynch. We’ve talked about a section in the Bible. We talked about the devil the earth before. I’m not sure if it was before Adam or the creation of Adam and Eve, but I just wanted to know if you could bring to life those past days and kind of give me a visual of what that looks like.

We spoke of that I immediately began to think of like a lord of the rings and how that was kind of put together as far as moving. But could you like give me the passengers to go to the rebuild and to also tell you a little bit. No. Alright, here we’ll do that. I see a 14 is so fascinating because it lets us know there that Satan lived on the earth prior to Adam and Eve and that he was the god of this world, ruling over all of God’s angels here on the planet.

You want to turn to I see a 14 verse 13 where we have God knowing the mind of Satan as God is omniscient, there’s nothing you can get away with. The Bible knows your thoughts. God says he knows your thoughts and he knew the thoughts of Satan as he planned his rebellion. Satan said, I will ascend to heaven. Now he wouldn’t have said that if he was already in heaven. And so in Isaiah 14, 13 you have the first of the five eye-wills of Satan as he said that he would ascend to heaven.

He was here on the earth as the room over the earth. The earth was a beautiful place like the garden of Eden according to Ezekiel 28. The whole earth was that way. It was filled with animals and plants and dinosaurs. No human beings were on the planet. There was all kinds of life. All of that life flourished until the day that Lucifer decided to overthrow heaven. And you have that rebellion described to us in Isaiah 14, especially verse 13 and 14 in particular.

And we find that Satan said he was going to go beyond the stars that are visible to our eyes, that he was going to go to the north in our universe where heaven is and sit upon among the congregation in the sides of the north that he was going to dethrone God and become God himself. And obviously when he left the planet with a third of God’s angels, God cast them back down to the earth. A very fascinating verse, Harold is in the little teeny book of Jude at the end of the There it tells us about this group of angels that followed Satan in the rebellion.

It says in verse 6 of Jude chapter 1, and the angels which kept not their first estate. Their first piece of real estate was the planet earth. That’s where God had assigned them to live. And Lucifer was ahead over them. But it says here they left their own habitation. They left the earth to invade heaven, the opposite of what we’re normally taught. Most people are taught wrong and I was just so surprised as I began to read my Bible as a brand new believer that I was always taught the angels of the heaven.

They didn’t. They lived on the earth and they tried to go to heaven to overthrow heaven and were cast back down. A third of the angels followed Lucifer in his rebellion and God judged them and it tells us about that here in Jude, verse 6 at the end of the New Testament. So when that happened, God judged the earth as well and all life on the planet was killed. And we have the fossil remains today in coal. The fossilized remains of plant life.

We have petroleum, which is the fossilized remains of animal life, all trapped underneath the earth, all around the earth, pockets of living things that were killed and trapped and have become fossilized and are now the fuels for our modern society. And you know, it was a long time after that that God then decided in seven days that he would re-inhabit the earth with man. And of course the passage you might want to turn to is in Jeremiah 4 where God allows Jeremiah the prophet to travel back to time where Jeremiah says I beheld the earth and lo it was without form and void.

That’s Jeremiah chapter 4 verse 23 and he sees the earth as it was right after God judged it. And it became as we find it in Genesis 1-2, without form and void. very same phrase as used and Jeremiah saw what happened when God actually in his fury and in his wrath judged the earth. There is no other time in history that the Bible refers to or that we could detect other than this event that we read about in the Bible where God destroyed the life on this planet.

I believe the six days or the seven days are a re-making of the earth so that a kid has had his life be established again and this time man is put on the planet. That’s a little bit, but if you get the scofial Bible, the notes take you all through the whole Bible on this topic and we’ll really connect the dots for you. I encourage you that. We also have some books in our resource center that will help you with this.

And then there are some CDs. Where I go into great detail and go verse by verse in many of these places and talk about the The original earth and then the present earth in which we now live on and of course the Bible says this will be destroyed by fire And then there’ll be a new heavens and a new earth hell to hope that helps and thank you very much For your call down in Sarasota floor. We have Dave in plant city.

They welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air I have found my spoke with you. I asked you about her as a man and you do. You know God refers. Well, he’s talking to Ezekiel and he’s obviously a man. So that’s the way it’s referred to. But when you become saved, oftentimes we’re addressed as the sons of God. First John chapter 3 verse 2 says, Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God.

So as believers we become God’s sons and his family. We don’t become angels. Amazingly so many people are taught wrong and I remember one lady said that my husband died is Bob an angel now and I said no he isn’t. We don’t become angels. We at the moment of belief become higher than the angels according to the book in Hebrew Chapter 2, and the angels in heaven will be serving us. We will be higher in authority than the angels.

What manner of love the Father has stood upon us as believers, we should be called God’s son. It’s a position entitled greater than that the angels have. As a believer, Dave, you are a son of God. as well as a son of man who are a human but you have been born again we now have Adam in Tampa, Florida and Adam welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Yeah my question is about what you said earlier in your sermon in the beginning of Matthew it comes from Matthew 419 where you said follow me.

Yes. He said that was a delineation between discipleship and salvation and I agree with you as far As far as the separation there, but in this particular verse, it could be said that these people Peter and his brother Andrew, they weren’t believers at this time. And when he said the following, that was a combination of believing on him. You could just explain that. That is not true. If you read John chapter 1, Andrew and Peter were saved before the incident in Matthew 4 19.

If you read John chapter 1, you find in verse 40, Andrew was a believer, a follower of John the Baptist, and heard the Gospel preached by John the Baptist. And then it says in John 1.41, and Andrew first finds his own brother Peter and says we have found him a sign. And so Andrew leads his brother Peter to Christ. Later at a subsequent time at the Sea of Galilee, Jesus finds them fishing back at their job and says, follow me and I’ll make you fish as a man.

separate occasion and it was a second decision for them to become disciples. They weren’t being invited to be saved in Matthew 419. They were already saved. Thank you. That makes perfect sense. Can I ask one more question? Sure. It seems in Acts, in chapter 10, 45 and 46, the verses that Peter explained, it’s something to believers from a circumcision of Puma Pia were made because the gift of the The Holy Spirit was poured out even on Gentiles and 46% so they were speaking in tongues and exposed God.

So if you could just explain that when they received the Spirit they were speaking in tongues. Do you just explain that? only occurred three times in acts two acts 10 and acts 19 and then tongues disappears off the scene this was a sign to to Jewish people at which they apparently looking we’re looking for a sign and require a sign as it says in Corinthians. And this is a sign that got it now turned to the Gentiles. Here these Gentiles were given these Gentile languages that they had never learned or had been taught.

And the fact that they could speak in these four languages without any training was an evidence that they were. The gift was a temporary gift and after Acts 19 the third time it’s no longer even mentioned and tongues goes off the scene and disappears for nearly 2,000 years. And then we have the rise of the false gifts today in 1906 in Azusa Street, California. The modern day two tongues movement began, which is not a language at all, it’s a gibberish.

And that gibberish has been done by all the world religions and is still being done by all the world religions, but is not Christian, it’s not biblical. And we have a lot of people falling into that trap. But the real gift was a genuine known language, and it was to be used for evangelism, and it helped further the gospel at the very beginning. The first screen is 1422. It says, tongues are for a sign, not of them to believe, but of them to believe not.

So we have tongues given at Pentecost. We have tongues given at the house of Cornelius in Acts 10. And we have tongues given to those that had gotten saved that were followers of John the Baptist that Paul leads to Christ up in Asia there in Acts chapter 19. that it’s gone over done for not around anymore and I hope that helps explain that a little bit for you. Thank you so much Adam. That was Adam and now we’re going to go to Matthew in Spring Hill Florida.

Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning pastor. My king coming. Everyone that’s on the us will be a believer and then all unbelievers will die. Is that correct? That is correct. Okay. So then does that that the offspring will all be believers without a network nobody will not that there will be seen during the money or an absolute sin and death and they’ll be those who will not trust the lord and uh… it’ll uh… demonstrate really the wickedness of the human heart that these that are born during the money will still be related back to adam and have the uh…

simple nature of adam passed on and it says in jerema seventeen nine the heart is the seatful above all things and desperately wicked. And it shows how that even with Satan bound up during that thousand years, and Jesus visibly ruling on the earth, and the earth filled with his knowledge, that people will turn him down and not accept him as their Savior. And that’s evidence when Satan is loosed to the very end. He rounds up a huge army of millions of unbelievers.

These are the children and the grandchildren, the great-grandchildren and so on, of those that are entering the millennium as saved. It doesn’t take long to fill up the world again with unbelievers. Okay, so the end of the colonial reign is really just a demonstration of God’s judgment while he’s even here. Absolutely, and I believe the Bible teaches that there are seven dispensations. All of them are a test of man, regardless of specific revelation. And we find that in the millennium the real test is that with ideal conditions even then men will reject Christ.

I think that will silence all those who have lived in other ages that say, hey, you know, I didn’t believe on Christ because of my mother-in-law or I didn’t trust in Christ because, you know, I was in a bad church or I didn’t trust, they won’t have an excuse because in the I don’t mind him that there won’t be any bad doctrine. Christ will be ruling on the earth and the earth will be filled with his knowledge and Satan will be bound up so Satan can influence him and still there will be millions that will reject Christ.

Okay and then during that morning of rain that’s when we will come back as his bride and we will rule and reign with Christ during that thousand year period. Yes. Okay so some of them are meant like government workers. I don’t know exactly that, but I know I don’t think I think we’re going to be invisible to the actual people in their mortal bodies that are the actual subjects of the millennium Angels right now are assisting in doing many tasks and I’m sure that there are angels right now Watching you where you are and are observing me as well the Bible says that they spectate and watch us So we can see that chorus, angels watching over me day and night and that’s really true.

And I think we as believers will come back in our resurrection bodies, but my personal view, I can’t prove it, but it’s my speculation. And I always like to try to be honest and tell you what I’m speculating that I think will be invisible to the ones in our mortal bodies. Alright, well thanks a lot brother. You think they’re really interesting and exciting and we’ll see you in the air. Okay, thank you Matthew in Spring Hill Florida and you’re welcome to call in if you’d like at 1-800-576-3771.

Let me just say a word about Bibleline. We are listeners supported 100%. We do not have any other means of support. And let me just thank you as the listeners who keep this program going because this is a miracle operation. I remember when I began this particular series of programs that would be interactive with the audience about six years ago. We just didn’t have the money to do it. We were offered a 15 minute spot and I prayed and prayed and I said, Lord, we don’t have the money.

How can we do this? we risk going on in the air. And as I prayed, the final day came when I had to make a decision or they would sell the 15 minute spot to somebody else. A guy drove into my driveway, I was looking out the window and there was a friend I hadn’t seen for years and I had led him to Christ and he came in to my office and he handed me a check. I put it in my shirt pocket and we talked for a while and he said, aren’t you going to look at that check?

I said, I wasn’t going to look at it until the after you left. He said, well, look at it now. He says, I just felt there was some need you had. And I wanted you to use it for whatever that you feel that should be used for. And I pulled it out of my pocket and it was a check for $30,000. And I said, wow. I said, I have been praying for God to answer whether we should go on the radio or not.

And I said, your gift here is the answer to God’s, to my prayer to God. And we went on and that enabled us to get going. And then the door of opportunity came for a half hour show and I said, well, we can’t hardly pay for the 15 minute show. How can we possibly pay for a 30 minute show? And we stepped out in faith because of that first gift and seeing God supply. And sure enough, and then the door opened for us to go an hour and we jumped for the hour.

And then we had opportunities to go to other cities and we went for that. And God has supplied and it’s really a testimony to how God takes care of his ministry. And he uses people just like you to keep this program on the air. So let me thank you all of you who’ve given. And again, we need your help. This is a time when we notice that Christian giving seems to be dropping off a bit because of the economy and the things that are going on in the country.

So if you can continue to keep Bibleline right there in your gifts and in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. You can call to give a gift by credit card or you can call and ask for an envelope to be sent to give a gift. And we’re not trying to get your money. We don’t pay any salaries. We really are trying to get this message out to the world. And God is using Bibleline and it’s been a miracle ride the way from the very beginning.

And it’s really about you. It’s about me. It’s about God. about how God uses us to partner together to get this job done and without your help we just could not do it. We’re going to go to Mississippi. We have an anonymous caller from Haysburg, Mississippi and welcome to Bibleline and great to have you on board today. go ahead you’re on the earth absolutely and god bless you sir thanks for taking my call i have a question about jesus uh…

i know right now that he’s on the uh… on the field but uh… while upon the face of your work thirty three and a half years was he on the internet you know everything and if not what their time that he did know everything yeah he didn’t know everything you see many verses were Even the guard garden when the troops came with Judas, he knew what was going to befall him, John 18, four and so on. And he came into this role to die in and he told his disciples numerous times that he would be delivered in the hands of the chief priests and the scribes and they would crucify him and he would rise again the third day.

So there was no doubt about that. But yet he was also currently a man and as a man he was dependent upon God his father and he needed, obviously, to call upon him. And he did. You can see the many times where Jesus prayed and as a man was dependent upon God, as we as men are dependent upon God, I need to call upon him for help. So he was, as a man, he got tired, he got hungry. He had the sleep at night and so on.

But as God, He could raise the dead, He could walk on the water, He could multiply the loaves and the fishes, and He could forgive sin. He could raise the dead. So obviously He was the God-man, and will fully, or maybe we’ll never fully understand it, but will more fully understand it at least when we’re with Him in heaven.

Yeah, obviously he knew as God. He knew. Sure. Okay. Okay. All right. And he delayed his, you know, he wasn’t that far away, but he delayed his coming until Lazarus had been dead four days. And obviously that’s quite a remarkable miracle when somebody’s been dead four days. It’s a miracle. We have lots of colors here. I don’t think we’re going to get to all of them. We have Ken that in Bradenton, Florida and Ken. Well, I’m glad that you’re here.
