Thanks for tuning in today and now again this program is streaming right now to the internet you can go to our website Bible ID and Ministries.org and click on the spinning globe and you’ll get our radio program not only right now but also in archive you can get them for the past two years. Click on the TV set, you’ll get our TV programs, click on the camera, you’ll get our worship services, click on the online bookstore and you’ll get our resource center.
Love to have you come by sometime. We’re very close to the Tampa International Airport so we’re easy to find from anywhere that you might be coming from. All the major roads, the interstate is coming right by the airport and we’re on the west side just a block west of the main north south runway and we’re just a block west of the perimeter road Eisenhower Boulevard which runs north and south and we’re on George Road a block further west running north and south and we’re midway between Memorial Hillsboro directly west of the airport about midway.
Come on by and say high. Our resource centers open every day Monday through Friday till about 4.13 afternoon. Come knock on the door if you’re not in the area and you can of course go to the internet and visit our resource center by going to the online bookstore. We’ve got lots of wonderful things in our bookstore that you might want to get. We’ve got the, am I going to Heaven Track in English and Spanish? That is a wonderful way to get a conversation going with someone as it has a quiz and most people will take the quiz and the answers are inside, all the verses necessary are right there printed out for you and so you can just use that track and take them right through the scriptures and the track really doesn’t work for you.
It’s really incredible. We hear of people getting saved all the time through the, am I going to heaven gospel track? We have it in, as I said, in English and in Spanish and we have a different version of it with a brown cover that has a lot of the contemporary terms that people are familiar with today. And that one really works well with people who are religious and you might want to try that one as well. We’re thinking about another trip to Israel in February of next year if the Lord hasn’t come and taken us out.
And you might want to get on our list and get a brochure when we get them. And we’ll give you the details as we get more ourselves. We also want you to know we finished our teaching on Second Peter and so the Second Peter 10 hours of teaching is available on CD and DVD. We also have First Peter available on CD and DVD and we have of course the Gospel of John and about 40 other presentations which are really wonderful and being able to facilitate a Bible study, a Sunday school class, a home study or your own personal study, I think you’ll really enjoy the CDs where we cover the scriptures verse by verse.
And it’ll be great if you’re going to teach a class to kind of get that additional help and boost by taking one of these series and studying it as you teach and learning and using that material, sharing it with others. In any case, call us and get a resource sent out to you free and we’ll be happy to send it out and it will list all the things we have and you’ll find that that will be very helpful. We also have that NIV quiz for free if you want to call and ask us to send you one, we’ll be happy to do that.
That is a quiz on the NIV translation. It actually is a quiz that if you use the NIV as your text you’ll fail because it’s It’s all about verses that are totally and completely dropped from the NIV. They’re not there at all. So when you take the quiz and use your NIV to answer, you won’t find the verses, so you’ll get a zero.
Well, that is a major wake up for people when they have the NIV and they discover the verses are totally gone. And especially when they try to answer a question from the NIV and the Bible verse they find is not even there. Wow, that’s exciting. Anyway, we have those available for you. Just give us a call and we’ll be glad to help you out. This Sunday is the third Sunday. We’re going to have a dinner. If you want to come by and visit us if you’re a driving distance, I think you’ll enjoy our third Sunday dinner, and that will be this Sunday.
And this Sunday also will have a baptism if you’ve not been water baptized. And you don’t have a church home that would be willing to immerse you. We’ll be happy to include you in our baptism. It’ll be three in the afternoon on this coming Sunday, the 18th of May. We’re going to get into the Bible here a little bit and we’ll then go to our callers. You can call us and get up on the air with us by calling 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.
We have a question here and I’ll just go ahead and take some time to answer this now early. This is from Tim and he’s in Lake Worth, Florida and he says I’m preparing for my Senate school class and he’s having a tough time with Matthew 25 31 through 46. This is called the judgment of the nations and it talks about Jesus seven years after the rapture coming back in all of his power and all of his glory and it says in verse 31 of Matthew 25 when the Son of Man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.
Well, we know the throne of his glory is in the temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and when Christ comes back in all of his glory, that’s the second coming, not the rapture. When Christ comes at the rapture, no one sees it, and the angels don’t come with him. He becomes by himself according to 1 Thessalonians 4-16. But here he comes with all of his glory, and with all of his angels, and then he will sit. And that’s when he will be here on the earth for a thousand years as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
And right at the very beginning of that Millennial Kingdom, he will gather all the nations before him. The angels are sent out according to Matthew 13 and also Matthew 24, and they will assist. They will gather up all the unsaved. Those are called the goats, and they will be placed on his left hand. And all the sheep, which are the believers, will be placed on his right hand. And here they will be separated, the sheep from the goats. And he will say to the sheep on his right hand.
Then shall the king, verse 34, say unto those on his right hand, come ye, blessed of my Father, and here at the kingdom, prepared for you from the foundation of the earth. These are the saved. Then in verse 41 he says to the goats on his left hand, depart from a ye cursed and the everlasting fire, prepared to the devil and his angels. So here the goats of the lost, the sheep of the saved. And of course the question usually arises.
What about these deeds that are mentioned here? And then we find as Christ is addressing the sheep. He says, I was hungry and you gave me meat. I was thirsty. You gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. Naked you clothed me. I was sick. And you visited me. I was in prison. And you came under me. Verse 37 says, then shall the righteous. It’s a very key word. The righteous in Romans 3, 10. It says, as it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.
So according to the Bible, there’s nobody righteous, not one person righteous. Jesus said it over in Matthew chapter 19. He says, there’s none that is good, but one, and that is God. So every one of us are sinners, we’ve all come short of the glory of God, but yet there are those who are called righteous, and how can that be? Well that’s because Jesus Christ substituted himself in our place. And at the cross of Calvary he paid our sin debt in full, so that this exchange that it took place at the cross of Calvary is where God placed our sins upon Christ.
He said, The believer has an imputed righteousness which God imputes righteousness to the account of the believer and so the believers are considered righteous. These are obviously righteous because they have believed on Christ and that’s why they are the sheep and why the goats are not the sheep because the goats did not trust Christ as Savior and they are described as the unrighteous. Well it says here that the righteous answered and they said Lord Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed thee and thirsty and gave you drink and when saw you as a stranger and took you in and naked and clove you.
And when do we see you sick and visit you in prison and come under the and so on? And the King shall say unto them, barely I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethren, you have done it unto me. There’s a third group here that usually gets ignored when people talk about this passage and that is these that are called the brethren of Christ. We believe that this is the tribulation period after the Rapture and during that seven years there will be 144,000 Jewish men that will do the evangelism during the tribulation period.
And they’re all men and these are Christ’s brethren as Jesus Christ is God who took on Jewish flesh and so these that are related to Christ in the flesh, these 144,000 Jewish men will become martyred for their faith in Christ but they will be obviously imprisoned and they’ll be obviously having a difficult time making it they’ll be naked and clothing and they’ll be hungry and they’ll need to be fed and guess who takes care of them. Well these that are righteous or these that are saved are saved, they get saved during the tribulation period and they get saved through the evangelism of these 144,000.
So obviously they have compassion on these that have brought the gospel to them and so they visit them and they feed them and they clothe them and they care for them and And so they treat them well, whereas they lost the sheep have no compassion upon the hundred and four hundred thousand, but are probably just as glad that they’re gone, that they are imprisoned or that they die and so on and become martyred. And so the works that they do are not works to save them, which is obviously plain in the Bible because works cannot save us and our deeds are not able to bring us righteousness.
Our best righteous deeds according to Isaiah 64, 6 are filthy rags. So obviously here these are sheep, these are the righteous, these are the believers that are grateful to the Jewish brothers in a sense of Christ who are evangelizing and brought the gospel to them so they can be saved. And so that’s why they care for them. But they are not saved because they do that. They do it because they naturally do that. And notice they weren’t even aware that they were doing it.
They said, when did this happen? When did we feed the and so on? And he says, in as much as you’ve done it under these, the least of my brethren, you have done it under me. So Christ is talking about that. And so this This is the judgmentalization of what happens here. All unbelievers are cast into the lake of fire. They are destroyed. And the believers alone are then invited to come into the kingdom, the thousand year reign of Christ.
And so the thousand years begins with all believers. All unbelievers, the goats are cast into hell. For the goats to become sheep, they have to have a new birth. They have to become born again. They have to trust Jesus as their Savior and obviously they don’t. Anybody who lives through the tribulation period and has not trusted Christ will not survive. They will all be slain by Christ and they will be cast into the everlasting lake of fire and only believers will enter in to the Millennium.
Well I’m Dr. Ankerine Cleanser and this is Bible and we’re excited about being with you today here on Tuesday and we’ll of course be now going to our phone calls and if you want to call it’s 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go now to Ken. In Tampa, Florida, and Ken, welcome to Bibleline, you’re on the Earth. Hi, how are you doing? Good. I have a question that had to do with an issue that occurred in church, and it was a majority of the deacons got up after the meeting, and there had been good man with discord in the He said that it was important to the church and that they got up in a state and a confession that they had sent against the interim pastor and against congregation by attempting to dismiss him without following the scriptural injunctions for having, I think, two witnesses to bring accusations against him.
And that I can understand. But when they witnessed the confession, they said that it’s part of the confession. They would not take the Lord’s for a year and this was like a kind of penance as far as I could say and I didn’t know of any scripture that would say that this is that this is scriptural and I don’t I was wondering what you could say about that. Well I would agree with you that that would be unscriptural because we are are to come to the Lord’s upper because we do sin as believers and this is our opportunity to get this thing right.
You know it says in 1 Corinthians 11 when it describes the Lord’s Supper that we come and we should come getting examining ourselves, judging ourselves which I believe includes 1 John 1 9 where we recognize that we have sinned, that we confess our sins to the Lord individually, and that He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, the things that we confess to Him as being sinned. And it says also that He not only forgives our sin, but cleanses us from all unrighteousness, and then we are eligible to partake.
no doubt about it. Believers are sinners after we get saved. We still commit sins. But we are to confess those and claim his promise of forgiveness and cleansing them. We’re to come to the Lord’s Supper. We are not to stay away, but we’re to come. And so I think that I would be wrong. They should come to the Lord’s Supper. OK. OK. Thank you very much. OK. Thank you, Ken. And then certainly that sounds like a kind of a pit of zythe we think too which is certainly not scriptural.
We’re going to Carl in Tampa Florida. Carl welcome to the Bible and you’re on the end. Good morning, Pastor Hank. Question. In Hebrews 1026, if you could read that and then if you could explain what that means, I’ll be hanging up and listen, okay? Alrighty. Hebrews. Good morning. Chapter 10 verse 26. This is a verse that seems to be one that people stumble over and I’m almost there and we’re going to take a look at that. It says in verse 26, if we sin willfully.
First of all, we note that the writer of the book of Hebrews, and there is debate over who is the human writer, we believe of course God is the author of all scripture and that Hebrews does belong as one of the canonical books included in the scriptures. But it says here, if we sin. So this is talking about a believer, the writer of Hebrews, including himself with other believers. So this is talking about believers. we sin willfully and it could be translated for though we sin willfully because as believers we still sin and I believe most sins are willful sins that we know what we’re doing when we sin and so it says here if or though we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth which I believe talks about our salvation experience it then says there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.
The whole point here is this book is written to the Hebrew believers. They were used to the yearly sacrifice where the high priest would go in to the Holy of Holies and he would take blood and sprinkling on the mercy seat. Well here in this chapter it tells us that that type of sacrifice that the offering of blood of the bulls of goats and calves could not take away sin, but then talks about the sacrifice that Christ would make that would be only offered once to pay for sins forever.
And it says in verse 10, by the which will or by the will of God, we are sanctified or made pure and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. There’s 14 tells us that sacrifice takes care of our salvation forever for by one offering he has perfected forever them that are sanctified. Then verse 17 says, and there’s sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now here’s the key passage here verse 18, Carl.
Our remission of these ends. There is no more offering. Now I’ve taken the phrase, no more offering and circled it. There is no more offering for sin. The one time offering of Christ on the cross of Calvary was efficient to pay for your sins in mind. And that is the past sins, the present sins, the future sins, and also the sins of the Holy Emory. So once you trust Christ, these sins and iniquities he says, I’ll remember no more.
And once he’s forgiven your sin, he says there remains no more offering. I’m taking that phrase and going down to verse 26 and circle the phrase no more sacrifice for sins, which is equivalent. It says here even though we sin willfully, there still does not remain another sacrifice necessary for us to take. In other words, the one time sacrifice of Christ saves you eternally even though you might sin willfully after you become saved. So you can sin willfully after your say, but you’re still saved.
You don’t need another sacrifice. The one sacrifice of Christ is sufficient for eternity. But then it goes on in the following verses to warn about two things. That if you are going to be adversarial to this, that God will judge you, and that means he will thank you or discipline you. And this is God’s chasting or discipline upon the believer. it says here in verse 30 at the last phrase, the Lord shall judge His people, that’s the believer. And then this is in verse 31, it’s a beautiful thing to follow into the hands of the living God.
So the believer is going to give an account and will be judged by the Lord and will be disciplined, but also the following verses after verse 31, 32 to the end, talk about rewards and the loss of reward to the believer who doesn’t serve. So if you sin and hopefully you’re going to get yourself in trouble with God, but you won’t be lost. You don’t need another sacrifice. The one sacrifice of Christ has insufficient to save you for eternity.
It’s a quick answer, but Carl, I hope that helps. Are you still there, Carl? I think Carl may have hung up. So I hope that helps. And by the way, if you go to my website and you go to the bottom right hand side of the home page, it’ll say dr lint’s articles if you go and look uh… at the titles you can look up hebrews ten twenty six i titled an article on that very first and i think that’ll give you much more detailed answer hopefully will be helpful going to go to joseph and orange city for that just a welcome to buy one Good morning, Pastor.
I have a question in St. Genesis, chapter 9 in reference to the nakedness of Noah. It says that he laid out covered. Now, and then I looked over in Leviticus chapter 18. Right. I believe what happened there is that his his son committed a homosexual act with his father while his father was drunk. And uncover his nakedness means he had a sexual act with him. And obviously these were some of the sins committed before the flood and that was why God brought about the flood and destroyed those that lived on the earth during that time.
But I think that this is what happened and that’s why it was a sin not just that he saw his dad with no clothes on, on, but did he actually uncover his niggas in that he had a sexual equity? That’s what if you read a little bit because 18, 19, and 20, those types of sins are described in that way to uncover the niggas of your sister being you had incest, you had sex with her, and that would be wrong.
Thank you so much for that question. We want to say goodbye to Miami. Miami, thank you for listening. We’re excited about being on the air in South Florida, and we know that you signed off before the other stations, but we are praying for Miami to come online and be financially self-supporting and help us to be able to bring this program to you every day. So think about that and pray for us. And if you would like to, you could give a gift by credit card over the phone.
We’re now back with our other stations. And if you’d like to call in, you may. We’re now going to go to Leonard. And Leonard is in Richmond, Virginia. Leonard, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. I don’t want to pass the hand. I heard you’re speaking this morning about the witnessing to the 100 of 44,000 and helping them and minister to them. I’ve only read one place in the Bible that I prefer to the 144,000 Jews. I think it’s in the book of Revelation.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that of them are going to be saved and all this stuff. I just want to know where did they get their from, exactly what the 144 come. Are they going to come and return to their before they’re going to be people that’s already on their one Okay, those are Jewish men on the earth probably right now and it’s the rafts where to happen today He said, I believe Moses and Elijah, and then through their witness, they will according to Revelation 7.9, lead millions to Christ.
But they are mentioned in Revelation 7 and again in chapter 14 of Revelation. They are all men, so they are not married.nsic. So they’re not married and they have not had a sexual relationship with a woman. It says, these are those which are not the filed with women. albumed with women. They are virgins. And so obviously the jokes with us don’t qualify. They’re not Jewish, number one. And then they would have to be a single virgin man in order to qualify as well.
But they’re not even saved yet. They’ll be saved after the rapture and perhaps we’re already planting seed with some of these right now as we share the Gospel with unsaved Jewish men. In any case, we’re going to take a break and we’ll come back into a second and a half hour of Bibleline. And so I hope you’ll keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’ll be studying more and have your questions and answering questions from the Bible.
So stay tuned. I’ll be right back after this short break. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 771, 10576, 3071. Well I’m Dr. Angelina and Sherman. We’re always glad to be able to be able to be on the Bible and Radio program and bring it into your car, your home, or your business or wherever you might be listening to this program. We’re excited about the fact that we can do that.
And, of course, we have to give you a lot of credit because it’s you our listeners that partner with us make it all possible because we really are totally dependent upon our listeners to support this program. We don’t have any other means of support. It’s a miracle over on the air because obviously God is supplying to people just like you who enjoy this program who are benefited by it and would like to partner and see that it continues on the air.
Your gifts and your prayers are what keep my mind going. God bless you and thank you in advance for your prayers and your gifts. If you haven’t given this month or would like to give to MyMeline, you can call and give a gift by credit card over the phone. Our operators would be glad to help you and assist you in that. If you’d like, we can send you envelopes with our address on it and you can mail your gift to MyMeline.
call or 800 number and ask for envelopes to be sent and we’ll be happy to do that or say I’d like to give a gift to Bible and using my credit card and they’ll help you and make that real easy. Some people would like to maybe give it a regular monthly offering and if you want to mail that in that’s fine or you can set it up to be automatically withdrawn from your credit card, whatever amount you use should so decide.
You can set that up and it will happen every month. And you can change that at any time, just call us and we can change it to zero or change it to a greater amount, whatever would work for you. But God bless you in thanking and thanks for your gifts. We appreciate all of the nice comments we get from people. We have people coming by all the time that tell us wonderful things and of course we get nice notes and people who say how much Bible and means to them and words of encouragement to keep going.
And we certainly are intending to do that. Right up until the day the word comes back we hope will be on the air and sharing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to those that are listening. We believe there’s an urgency because of the time in which we’re living in. If you’re watching the news, there are hurricanes and cyclones and tornadoes and earthquakes and floods and everything in the world that the Bible describes as part of the end times.
I think we’re there and the Lord is coming soon. We’re going to now rejoin stations that have been on break. Do a second half hour Bible end and I hope you’ll stay tuned right here and we’ll go for another half hour and I hope you’ll be a part of it. If you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question, you can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lynch from…

help us and by the way you can also go to our website BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the online bookstore and there’s a place there where you can give to Bible and as well. We have our callers waiting if you want that phone number it’s 1-800-576-3771 that’s 1-800-576-3771 and we have Linda in Dunedin, Florida. Linda welcome to Bibleline. Hi Pastor Hank. Good to hear your voice. Thank you. I just wanted to say again thank you for blessing my heart on Sunday when you called me.
And yesterday was a very, very stressful day and I thank you for your conversation with me again. With all the devastating news and the catastrophic end time revelation taking place right before What should we as the leaders be doing and praying for and telling others about? I know that Psalms 91 is our refuge in our safety and secret place, but in a world where we see these things unfolding and people are stressing and anxiety is happening all around us, how would you advise us?
What should we do to comfort these people? Well, you know if you have internet access or you can call it an ask for it But I have an article that I’ve written called Latter-day checklist and it lists 26 things that every believer ought to be doing in The last days and it actually tells us in the Bible in the last days These are things that we ought to be doing So I would recommend you get that sheet and just notice that there’s a scripture that supports one and these are things that we ought to be doing for sure.
But one thing I know is that we’ve got to be getting the gospel out because should the rapture happen, these people that don’t know Christ will be left behind for the darkest hours of human history. We don’t want that to happen until we went all of our loved ones, our family, our children, our grandchildren, our aunts, uncles, and nephews and grandparents and everybody that we can think of that we’re related to and the people that we love and care about, that they would go to heaven with us and be caught up in the rapture.
To be left behind leaves it uncertain because Satan will be deceiving the world and the world will be blinded for the most part and many, many, many people will not come to know the Lord during the tribulation although millions will. So this is a time of instructing people and what the Bible says. And for the believers, our blessed hope is coming down. He’s the one who will catch us up to meet him and will be forever with him. Until he comes, we should be busy sharing the word of God, which is where real comfort, real destruction comes.
Hopefully, I’ll give you an idea. If you can ask for that sheet on the latter-day checklist to be sent to you, you can study that. I think you’ll find it very helpful. Oh, thank you so much. Can I ask a question with regards to the caller who called in yesterday morning about the rapture and the saints being lifted up out of the ground six hours later before it was a question that was, are you there? I’m right here. Let’s see.
Oh, I’m sorry. Yeah, regarding rapture. Well, the point is that two things happen at the Rapture. Those that have already died are with the Lord. And the Bible says that’s when the body presents with the Lord. But they are without their resurrection bodies. Nobody gets their resurrection body till the Rapture. And so the Bible talks about the dead in Christ or rise first at the Rapture. And that’s referring to the body. But if you read 1st Thessalonians 4, 14, it talks about their souls which are already with Christ, will Christ bring back with Him and then their bodies rise up from the earth and soul body will be reunited.
Then we have those living believers who split second later will be caught up to meet them in the air. It all happens in the twinkling of an eye, but it will all happen at one time. I’m going to get my resurrection body fast. a fraction of a second after those who have already died that are believers getting their resurrection bodies at the event of the Rapture. But the unsaved dead will not get their resurrection bodies until after the thousand year reign of Christ.
So obviously there are two things going on at the Rapture and that is the persons that have already died getting their resurrection bodies that will come up from the earth to meet their soul that Christ brings back with him from heaven and then those that are living that are caught up and are transformed into their new bodies all the way up. Thank you so much. Okay, I hope that helps and thank you. The phone number here by the line is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.
We have an offer of callers from Pimbroke Pines in South Florida, Lee calls in and he He says, why did God in all this perfection and ability create such a flawed creature as sinful man? Why did He not make us wonderfully perfect as He could have done? Well, the answer is He created man in innocency and we find that because of Adam and Eve’s sin in the garden, that’s why this happened. And of course, God could have created robots who would have just said, I love you, God, I love you, but he wanted creatures of choice.
And so he knew in advance that if he allowed choice, there would be those who would reject, it would cause sin and anarchy and rebellion and the consequences of those things to enter into his universe, but God chose to do that because he wanted creatures of real choice, Which we have and obviously one day all sin will be banished And all bought all the lost will be banished forever and heaven will be a wonderful place We’re now going to Jacksonville, Florida.
We’re going to talk to Henry and Henry in Jacksonville welcome to Bibleline you’re on the earth It’s a, I have a question. I want to know if you might have it wrong. And James, I think it is the second chapter 14 verse and those four verses after that, they and my wife were talking about works and faith. And she was reading how it said faith without work is dead. Now we both understand that you have to trust in Christ in order to be saved and to get to heaven.
What is really saying there is he’s talking to believers and he’s talking about rewards in heaven. Verse 14 when he says, what that that prophet, my brother, and he’s talking to the believers, my brother. And the word prophet refers to reward, things that are earned. Eternal life is without exception, always spoken of as a gift. We cannot earn salvation. Our works have nothing to do with it whatsoever. And so here he’s talking about profit, or gain, or reward, and all of that is earned based upon our works.
Now he’s also here talking about the judgment seat of Christ. He’s not talking about going to heaven. He’s talking about if you read verse 12 of James 2, it says that every one of us are going, whatsoever we speak or whatsoever we do, we need to do it as those will be judged by the perfect law of liberty. That’s what happens at the judgment of Christ. So everything we say and everything we speak will one day come into account and James says what profit will you have if you have faith but don’t have any works.
And then he says can faith save you and it’s not talking about salvation from hell here. It’s talking about salvation from the consequences that will happen at the Judge and City of Christ when every believer will have their works examined and they will have to give an account. In other words, it will not save you if you don’t have works from the embarrassment, from the loss of reward, from the regret, from the sorrow, from the tears that a believer will shed at the Judge and City of Christ.
If you read later in the book of James, James says, if you’re not going to live for Christ, He might as well start crying now. He says, start weeping right now because the Lord is coming. And when He comes, you will not be saved from the loss of reward, from the embarrassment, from the shameless, from the tears that you will shed at the judgment of Christ when He comes back. So He’s talking about reward here, not talking about salvation at all.
And what is so interesting, right in this wonderful chapter 2 of James, he tells us how Abraham was saved without works in verse 23. It says Abraham by his works demonstrated that he had believed all along and the scripture was fulfilled that said that Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. So he points out how Abraham was saved by faith without works but how by works Abraham showed or displayed his faith to others and showed that he had a mature faith and Abraham would be greatly rewarded for his faithfulness.
I hope that helps a little bit. I have one more time with judgments. The righteous will be judged also or the righteous, if the righteous are judged, are they judged by what rewards they shall receive or are they judged? I’ll take it as judgment. We are going to be judged only for reward or loss of reward. The unbeliever will be judged for degree of punishment and health. So belief and unbelief is what determines what a person goes to have in our health.
All believers go to heaven, all unbelievers go to hell. Every believer will stand in a judgment called the Judge and State of Christ where their works will be examined and it will be determined the degree of reward that they’ll have in heaven. For the lost they’ll be in a totally different judgment a thousand years later called the Great Whites are in judgment where unbelievers will be judged according to their works to determine the degree of punishment and hell. They’ll go to hell because they’re unbelievers because they don’t have Christ but they will be judged and assigned a degree of punishment and hell.
Thank you for coming in. Thank you for listening and calling in from Jacksonville, Florida. We have Tim in West Jefferson, Ohio. Welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Hi. My question is from the 2nd of Tisel, Tazolone, and that would be chapter 2 verse 2 and it mentions in verse 2 the day of Christ is that hanging and in my opinion now that’s in the King James version and in my opinion that refers Welcome to the Rapture itself and I was wondering what your thoughts might be.
Oh I agree with you and it does and verse three tells us about a departure that will happen and then the tribulation period will be underway in the Antichrist will then be revealed. Some have concluded the departure would be a departure from doctrine and they call it apostasy even Dr. Stofield has that in the center margin which I disagree with. I believe the departure is that of the one who hinders the Oh, I agree with you. And it does.
And verse three tells us about a departure that will happen and then the trivialation period will be underway in the Antichrist will then be revealed. Some have concluded the departure would be a departure from doctrine and they call it apostasy. Even Dr. Stofield has that in the center margin, which I disagree with. I believe the departure is that of the one who hinders and There’s iniquity in this world which is that hinders iniquity will be taken out of the way.
That’s the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit involves an each and of us as believers. And when He departs, we depart, which means the rapture. And then the tribulation period is underway and the Antichrist will be revealed and describes then that Christ will come back seven years later and destroy Him. Verse 8, with the brightness of His coming and with the power of His Word. So Christ will take care of the Antichrist after he has been revealed when the departure happens and the day of Christ is underway.
Thank you very much Dr. Hank and God bless you and your conversation and congregation, excuse me, and thank you for answering my question. We are welcome and keep listening up there in West Jefferson, Ohio and God bless you. If you’d like to call again, you can call the number 1-800-576-3771. Marty in Lansing, Michigan says, is it biblical correct for a Christian to carry a concealed weapon? And I believe that the law allows that. And if you want to become licensed to carry a concealed weapon, that is fine for your protection.
Certainly the Bible teaches that a Christian has the right to protect himself and certainly to protect his home. So definitely in the Old Testament if someone came into your home and in suing struggle that that person was killed, you would not be charged. That’s where justifiable homicide comes from right out of the Bible. So you have the right to protect your children and your wife and your family from harm from an intruder. And certainly I don’t think there’s a thing wrong with, as a Christian, being licensed to carry a concealed weapon.
That is for your protection. And hopefully that answers your question for you. Thank you, Marty, for Lansing, Michigan. We now have Ron in Richmond, Virginia. And Ron, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Thank you, Dr. Lynch from We Really Enjoy You Here in Richmond. I have a question about the burial process and cremation versus the body being buried in a casket as it pertains to the scripture and you know the rising up and getting your new body and how that affects everything.
everything and I’ll just hang on and listen. Okay, run, cremation will not affect your salvation. At one time, I think those who are cremated were making a statement that they didn’t live in life after death. I don’t think that’s happening today. I believe it’s just a tremendous cost of doing a burial or causing some to head toward cremation. If you were burnt in a fire, you would be cremated involuntarily, but it wouldn’t affect your resurrection. If you’re a believer, you’re still going to get a resurrection body.
But in the Bible, we know that the Jewish people always buried, and it was a testimonial on their part, a witness to the fact that they believed in the resurrection. Even when Joseph ruled in Egypt and died, he made his brothers promise that they would preserve his bones. And when God would fulfill his promise to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt back into the promised land, that they would take his bones back to Israel and bury him there.
And I’ve been there to where Joseph is buried up near Shechem near Jacob’s well. And his bones reside there till this very day. But they buried. And of course, if you go to Israel, if you go to the Mount of Olives, the mountain is covered with Jewish graves. They buried their in expectation of the resurrection. They knew them as I would come to the Mount of Olives. And so they would be obviously first in the resurrection, they thought, being there so close to where he would be.
I perform many funeral ceremonies and many of them today are cremations. And… I believe it’s the family’s choice. I have no control. I personally want to be buried, but cremation would not affect your salvation. And obviously because of financial concerns, many people are opting to do that. But still, if you’re a believer, you’re going to be absent from the body, present with the Lord. And when that day comes for you to get your resurrection body, you will not be a problem for God.
If he had to even find the very same molecules that made up this body, I’m sure he could do it. Oh, thank you very much. I appreciate it. Alright, thank you. I’m up in Richmond, Virginia. You’re welcome to call. We’re trying to take down some of these off-air cars. You can call in if you want to get online here. 1-800-576-3771. They even caused the Tennessee calls in and says what was happening to Christianity during the first 400 years AD?
Well you know that was a rough time for Christians and Christians were martyred and imprisoned and tortured for their faith. There were 10 Roman emperors in a row that terribly persecuted the church, the last of which was Diocletian and his reign of ten years was the most intense persecution of Christians. We know that beginning with Nero, they would kill Christians and they made sport of them in the arenas of Rome. Obviously, this is a terrible time. So you can read history.
There’s a lot of books out that will tell you about the history of the first four centuries. Obviously it was a terrible time for Christians, then Constantine came along and he reversed everything. He claimed that the Christianity should be the world religion and so all of a sudden the persecution came off and now Christians were exalted. And of course that wasn’t necessarily a good thing because a lot of corruption came into the church because of that. A lot of paganism was introduced into Christianity and it was a real change from the fourth century on when Constantine came along.
That’s a brief answer, but call me off here some time and I can recommend on some books you want to read history, but that’s basically a quick summary. Terrible, terrible, first a couple hundred years after Christ were a very difficult time for Christianity. We now are going to go to Matthew in Spring Hill, Florida. Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Good morning Pastor. I’ve seen a couple of videos lately that people are sort of critical about how the Lord views slavery and the Old Testament and New Testament.
What are some good points to touch on about that to the condonement of slavery in the Bible? Well you know, slavery has always been around but you know under the Old Testament rules it was not really a horrible thing. The person had a lot of freedom as being a slave and then they could actually become free of their slavery after a number of years and if a person decided they loved their master and they wanted to continue to live with that family, they could voluntarily become a slave.
I think Paul took that term that seemed to be such a negative term and he used the very same word for a slave in a time of Rome there and said that he was a slave for Jesus Christ. You know what a statement to make about us and our service to the Lord that we should become voluntary slaves and say, Lord, I’ll just live to do whatever your bidding might be for my life. And as a New Testament disciple, that’s really what we should be.
We should be slaves to Christ. So I think if you go back and read in the Old Testament, the slavery there was not one where you sometimes see somebody in chains and beaten up, but rather there was a lifestyle where they were cared for by the family that they served and they could earn their freedom and become free. And so it’s not quite the same thing asTwitter people are down on today. But obviously it’s wonderful that we all were described as in the Bible as being slaves the sin.
He was incapable of getting ourselves out of that dilemma. That’s why Christ came as a savior and he redeemed us which means he bought us. He paid the price to buy us out of slavery and we have all been set free as a Christian. Wow, what a wonderful concept that is. And so Matthew, you were a slave prior to your salvation experience. But now you’ve been set free and the Bible says that Matthew eight rather John, it’s the gospel chapter eight.
When you know the truth, the truth shall set you free. So you were a slave to sin and to sin nature, but now you’ve been set free from the penalty of sin death through Christ, death of the cross of Calvary. Thank you for your call and we’re out of time here. We’ve got other callers waiting to get on the line and we’re just going to have to say goodbye. I hope everybody listening is trusted Christ.
