And we will baptize by immersion. Those who would like to be a part of that, you’re welcome to join that if you’d like. So if you want to be a part of that, give us a call and we’ll give you the instructions and you can be a part of our baptism. We’ve baptized about what we baptized 12 in the Jordan this past trip just two months ago and more planning to go again this coming year in February if you’d like to be baptized in the Jordan let us know and if you go on the trip for this we’ll be happy to include you in that we have some wonderful books in our resource center we have One called Basic Theology by Charles Rirey.

Excellent reference book to have in your bookshelf. We also have the Mitty Hand Book of theology by Enns. And that is a wonderful book as well. I like both of them. We have an incredible Bible dictionary by Merle Unger that is beautiful pictures. And that’s my favorite of the Bible dictionaries. But we have about four different ones in our Resource Center. along with the Scofield Bible in English and in Spanish, and we have the old Scofield. You know, the more recent ones are watered down, the notes are changed.

They’ve added notes that were not written by Dr. Scofield. They don’t identify them as being not by Dr. Scofield. And so really, and like many of the new ones, I disagree with. So obviously you’re not getting as good a Bible. We recommend the old. We have it here in our Resource Center. If you go to your Christian bookstore, you’re going to wind up being only able to look at those ones that we would reject, which are the more recent ones, which have been watered down the notes are not the same.

And I recommend the old Scofill. So if you’re going out looking for it and you don’t want to get it from us, you can get it, but you’re going to have to search hard to get the 1909 or 1917 editions of the Scofill Bible. There are some great tracks called, Am I going in Spanish, two different ones in English that really work. People get saved through these tracks all the time. If you’re looking for a tool for evangelism, this track has everything in it.

It has the verses you need all printed out. It has a nice flow and it gets you right on topic and keeps you there. We’ll bring a person to Christ. We’ve had many reports of people getting saved that had just been handed one of these these tracks and they, if they read it and their minds are turned on, the gospel is there and many people get saved just by being able to read the track. If you just give it out, there’s a good chance you’re going to get somebody saved and so you might want to get some of those.

We have many people using them and are using them with great success. I’m going to turn to the Bible and we’ll take our callers if you want to start calling in. You can the numbers 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. No passage in all of scripture has been so misunderstood as James 2, 14-26. Faith without works is dead. is used again and again by those that would add works to salvation as their proof text. Most Christians don’t know how to explain James to 14-26, therefore when those who teach falsely use James to prove their point seldom does anyone ever refute them.

Christians need to know the answer. Do you know how to explain James to 14-26? Not being able to explain this passage will hinder your effectiveness as a Christian witness. So often the lost will object to the true gospel by saying, Faith without Works is dead. If you can’t explain this phrase, then you will probably make no further progress with the one to whom you are witnessing. A new twist also falls is to say that if you do not have Works, then you have no faith, and therefore you are not saved.

Many Christians have been confused and robbed of their assurance and the steadfastness of their faith by this presentation. Words are subtly added to the plan of salvation. Words are subtly added to the plan of salvation by this mistaking of the book of James. First of all, when you’re reading James, you might want to make note that it’s written to the same. James is written to believers. Notice the phrase, My Brethren. You’ll find it in James 1-2, 1-16, 1-19, 2-1, 2-5, 2-14-3-1, and etc.

Throughout the book James is saying, My Brethren, My Brethren, My Brethren, My Brethren, My Brethren, My Brethren. He’s writing to those who are believers and members of the body of Christ and brothers and sisters in Christ’s body. James writes to people who are already saved, and the subject is not how to become saved, but the Christian life and how to receive rewards in heaven. James is writing to those who are born again. Note James 1 18. James says of God’s own will, beget He us with the word of truth, that we should become a kind of the first fruits of creatures of creation, James 118.

The question is not loss of salvation, which is impossible. But loss of reward. Blessing, not salvation, is what is promised to the doer of the work in James 1.25. So salvation in the Bible without exception is always presented as the gift of God. It’s not earned, not deserved, it’s given by God. God, it was purchased at a great price. It cost the life of Jesus, His life which shed, His blood was shed in order to purchase our salvation. James 2.14 talks about profit.

Profit is something earned, something deserved. Salvation cannot be earned and is not deserved. And so Paul uses the same word profit in 1st Timothy 4.8 where again the topic is reward. James and Paul were obviously on the same page. Paul says, for bodily exercise, profitless little. But godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life it now is, and of that which is to come. So rewards and blessing come as a result of our living a godly life.

James is speaking of the judgment seat of Christ. Many verses talk about the judgment where believers will give it account for what they have done since they have been saved. And James is saying to a believer that faith without works will not produce any rewards, and it will not save you from the embarrassment, the regret, the loss of reward that he will experience at the Joseph’s seat of Christ, where the believer will be giving an account for what they have done since they have been saved.

How do we know that James is talking about the Judge of the State of Christ? Well, pretty easy to figure that out. The context of James demands that. In James 2.12 it says, so speak ye, and so do ye as they that have been judged by the law of liberty. This could only be referring to the Judge of the Believers and the Judge of the State of Christ. James 2 14, we find no believer will be saved, exempted from the believer’s judgment of works.

No works will bring about no reward or no profit. So death in the Bible, by the way, always means separation. Physical death is the separation of the spirit and the soul from the body. 2 Corinthians 5, 8 is a great verse, absent from the body, present with the Lord. the Lord. The second death is the separation of the Spirit and Soul from God in hell forever and ever. Knowing this definition of death will then help you understand the phrase Faith Without Words is dead.

Knowing death means separation and not a cessation of existence. We look at James 2 26 because this verse really gives the whole chapter perspective. It says in James 2 26, for as the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. So if I were to die physically, my body would drop it on the ground and my Spirit and my soul would go to be with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord.

Would I still be alive? Yes, I would still be alive, I have eternal life, but my body would not have any vital signs and would not be able to display my life to anybody in the human realm or the physical realm or the physical world. I would be present with the Lord and I would be very much alive. In the same way, James says, Faith is not what works as dead. What does he mean? Works are to faith as the body is to the Spirit.

My body displays the life of the Spirit, works to display faith. The only way I can display that I am alive is with my body. I move and I talk and you can hear me and see me and so on. But the only way I can display that I have faith is by my works. So if I have no works, does that mean I have no faith? No, of course not. That would be like saying that if I die physically, I would no longer exist.

The truth is I have eternal life, even though I may lose my body. I’m still very much alive. If you have faith but no works, you simply cannot demonstrate that faith to another that you have faith. That is the point that James is making. A man may say he says, Thou has faith that I have worked. Show me your faith without thy works, and I’ll show you my faith by my works. To be an effective Christian, you need to have works and that’s the only way you can earn reward and one day Of course, when you trust Christ, you’re saved from hell, but can faith without work save you?

And is talking really about the Joseph’s seat of Christ, and it cannot save you from the embarrassment to regret the sorrow, the loss of reward, the tears that will be shed by the believer who has done no works since they’ve been saved. I’m Dr. Inglinsen, this is Bibleline, and we’re going to catch our callers now. We have Steve in Jackson, Michigan, calling in, and Steve, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. Good morning. I’ve got a question concerning people hearing the gospel message.

Well, what is it I guess of anything that determines whether or not a person will ever hear a clear and understandable gospel message in their lifetime? Well the answer is that if they seek they’ll get it Jeremiah 29 13 says you shall seek me and Find me When you shall search me of all your heart So the Bible promises to the seeking person that before they die God will get the message to them by bringing another Christian across their path Or bringing them across a Christian’s path and I’ve experienced this throughout my life If you’re willing to witness, you’ll be surprised that how people will come across your path.

And I’ve led people just where I used to live. I had a lot of people that would come across my path. I’ve led people to Christ that came across my path from Ethiopia, from Somalia, from Peru, from Bolivia, from Russia, from Europe. I mean, I guess I started naming the countries. But I didn’t have to go very far outside of my door. The Lord brought people to me. And I have gone to other countries and led people to Christ.

And it’s amazing how God will match you up if you’re seeking. So fear of my 2913 is a verse that is a wonderful promise. And in the book of Job in chapter 33 it talks about how God would keep you alive through disease war battle until a messenger can get to you with the gospel. So he’s not even going to let you die. You can get sick and you can be in war and be in battle and you’ll survive somehow until that messenger gets to you that somebody will bring the gospel to you.

It’s an incredible promise in God’s Word. So that’s the answer. So I guess if a person is seeking them that God then, because I was noticing one of your answers, says your God promises to get him the truth and I’m assuming that’s the correct truth. That is correct. So like, well God then protect them from what, like you call, male practicing pastors. You made the comment that there’s male practicing pastors out there in churches. And so, well God, make sure that these people are protected from those particular messages and make sure they get the clear.

I believe they will get it. They may not get it perfectly, but they’ll get it sufficiently that they’ll understand the gospel and become saved. And I believe even after you get saved, I believe for example, there are jobs where witnesses that are clearly in the wrong environment. And yet, if they are seeking, they’ll find the truth. We had a fellow that was a sixth generation, Jehovah’s Witness, high up in the echelon of leadership, traveled and spoke for the witnesses in 80 countries around the world.

He came to me and said, you don’t think? He said, I committed the unpardonable sin. I said, what’s that? He said, I listened to Bible on radio. And he got saved. He has left the witness movement and they are living for Christ down knowing that he is the Savior and he was seeking. You know the Lord matched him up with us and I believe that God is using Bible on it as one of those tools and there are many other means of which God gets the gospel to a seeking person.

This is a great story of people really in great darkness as if you are in the witness movement you are in great darkness that kept saved and come out of it by seeking the Lord will send to the right people but they can have a call for a minute i got by a moment word here at home here morning to the part of the people you know i’m wondering no where the breakdown and what where the people are seeking or that we as christian just haven’t got up and got the message to give him the message seeking or we haven’t just got off our stuff and done something get him a method well obviously there’s two parts of the story here you were to be faithful witnesses but on their part ultimately they’ll have no excuse because apparently they’re not seeking in Romans 1.

I love that passage in Romans 1 18, 19, and 20. And it says that God himself plants a knowledge of the fact that exists in every person. And then it goes on to say that they are therefore without excuse. They will not be able to say, hey, I didn’t hear the message. And God is going to say you don’t have an excuse because if you think you will find… Roman chapter 2 goes on to say that those who seek are identified.

The same thing I just quoted from Jeremiah 29-13. So the seeking person will find the truth no matter what environment they’re raised in, whether it be in a foreign country or wherever that might be. And that is just the way that God works. Well, I was told there are places in the world where there isn’t any written or spoken gospel, and I guess they’re way to a film and nobody in those areas are seeking or God is using some other methods for those particular people.

Well, you know, I have, for example, I had a secretary that I led the Christ and worked for me and she met a young man that was a similar interest in reaching people in the foreign field and they both had some medical training and so they’ve lived out their lives now in Bolivia, down in South America living with a tribe that is only about 125 members and they’ve born and have had born four and raised four children in the jungle and they’ve led many of these people to Christ and so apparently some of that tribe must have been seeking because why in the world would God send them to that particular tribe where they’ve translated the word into their language and are preaching the gospel to this trap.

And God gave them a desire in a… So on our part, we need to be willing to go. And on the part of the loss, they need to be willing or seek. And then God matches up the seeking person with the witnessing person. And we get the joy of being able to be the ambassador, the representative, the voice, the messenger that brings the gospel to him. I have one other question. Could I ask another question? Sure. Go ahead. In listening to you and listening to other messages around the internet, I mean there’s lots of them out there you can go listen to.

You seem to be in the minority as far as especially repentance, teaching and lordship. If you listen to a lot of the other teachers, obviously, depending on your sins and playing with lordship that’s, you know, continuing doing. You know of other speakers out there that teach the same thing that you do. I know if there’s a dentist rock, or I guess up in Duluth, but like I don’t find very many, I’m not thinking that you’re wrong, I like that.

It’s straight, but it’s like I don’t know if you’ve noticed that there aren’t that many out there. I have noticed that, in fact, when I began many years ago I had people say, you’re the only one teaching this. And in order to show that I wasn’t, I wrote it, and if you have my, if you have internet you can go to my articles, Dr. Lindstrom articles on the bottom right hand on the home page of my website Bible laministries.org and I wrote one called the incompatibility of the teaching or the false teaching on repentance and I quoted about editor 10 very good authors that say the same thing Dwight Pentecost, Charles Rirey, Hal Lindsey and a whole list of really good ones And it really was helpful for people to say, hey, there are other people out there.

And there are many who have it right. But it seems like the majority have really got it wrong on repentance and had worse dissolvation by saying you have to turn from your sin. But also on this worship thing, I’ve read another one, and I quoted a whole host of people that have it right. But I know that the truth is in the minority oftentimes. And we just have to keep on keeping on and trying to proclaim this as loud as we can.

And hopefully we can, in fact, those that are preaching to clarify their message. Because I know that a lot of messages that people give are just unclear. They’re sloppy. They’re not careful in presenting the gospel. They don’t think it’s important, apparently, to make sure Let me just say goodbye to Miami for a second. Miami, we’re going to be on the air down there. God bless all of you. And continue to pray for Bibleline. And if you can, support us by calling in and giving a gift to Bible.

And we could certainly use your help. And we pray that Miami might be able to continue. And they even get to the full hour. But I hope that helps Steve a little bit. Yeah, I think I just worked there are more people out there making. They’re not that you’re available. It’s just very, very limited. I know it. I know it. As sometimes we’re like John the Baptist said, a voice crying in the wilderness. And oftentimes that is true. Each one of us as a Christian ought to be that voice to where we live in our environment with our families and with the people in our neighborhood and the people that we work with to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Steve, thank you so much for calling in. We spent a lot of time with Steve, but we’re going to go to Tom real quickly and Tampa, Tom. Welcome to England. Hi Tom. Yeah. You’re on the air. You have a question? I understand he’s still talking to you. Okay, I think he’s listening to the radio, not the phone. We are out of time. We’re going to take a break. We’ll maybe catch Tom after the break. And this is Bibleline and we are going to do another half hour.

And just the moment we hope you’ll stay tuned to that. We are right now live on the Internet. If you want to catch the program right now or later in the day or throughout the week. I hope you’ll do that. And you can just go to Bibleline minutes. Click on the spinning globe, you get our radio programs, click on the TV set, you’ll get our TV programs, you click on the camera, and you’ll get our worship services, and you can do that Sunday morning at 11 and catch our worship service live.

Bibleline is listed and supported. If you have not given the Bibleline, would you consider calling in today and giving a gift? And I want to thank all of you who do pray and give the Bibleline because you’re the the ones who keep this program on the air. And God bless you all. Thank you so much. And I appreciate your faithfulness and giving. We’re going to take a break. We’re going to come back and do a second half hour. So keep your radio tuned right where it is.

And I’ll be right back after this short break. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Englund, for a minute. It’s really a joy to be able to be with you every day here on Bible Mind, and we’re glad that you’re enjoying and listening. We get many people telling us that they really do like Bible Mind, and they’re learning so much as we try to really give you a scriptural answer, quoting the verse and the giving you the address to the verses that we’re talking about.

And so you can actually get a question answered from the Bible. It’s not my opinion or the opinion of some denomination or organization, but it’s God’s word and that’s what really counts. Thus say the Lord. And the Bible is quite clear, although sometimes when you attend many churches, you don’t ever get any real good teaching. So you don’t realize the treasures that are there within the Word of God. a wonderful thing it is to know that your sins are forgiven, that you are on your way to heaven, that salvation is a gift and cannot be lost, and that the Christian life is all about blessing and reward that comes to the believer who would serve and God will richly reward us one day in heaven and our blessings in this life as well.

We are excited and we certainly hope that you will be a part of Bible and by giving the Bible and praying for Bibleline and telling your friends about Bibleline and helping us grow our audience. We know that there are missionaries around the world that are listening and we hope if you have a missionary that’s special to you, would you let them know about Bibleline and how they can catch it, whatever country they’re in, no matter where they are, if they have internet access, they can be watching and listening to Bibleline from anywhere in the world.

That’s exciting and we’re excited about that as well. We can call in and our operators are standing by and give a gift by credit card over the phone. They’ll be very helpful to you and assist you in any way. You can also ask for an envelope to be sent so we can mail you an envelope with our dress on it and then you can send your gift in by mail. But you can also give on our secure website on our online bookstore.

Again, just go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the online bookstore and there you’ll find right up at the very front is a place to give to the Bible. God bless you and thank you in advance for your gifts to the Bible and we appreciate them so much and that’s you, the one who prays and gives that keeps this program going. Of course it’s the Lord but he obviously is raising up people just like you who like the program and would like to see it continue and it’s a blessing to them and they give to keep us on the air.

I’m Dr. this is Bible and we’re going to wind up our break here and go back and do a second half hour of Bible and we’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break and do the second half hours so stay tuned right where you are and we’re going to do Bible and part two stay tuned right now we’re going to go. Would you like to call Bible and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for that break and this is Bibleline and it’s exciting to be with you. What a wonderful thing it is to be able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone and maybe that person is you. We’re praying that God would make it clear to you if you’ve not yet been saved. And if you haven’t been sure about where you’d spend eternity that you would recognize that eternal life is God’s gift for God’s love the world, that he gave his only begun son that Jesus Christ, but who so ever believeth in him, Christ should not perish but have everlasting life, have being a presentence verb, you possess eternal life at the moment of belief and forever thereafter.

That’s got to be exciting. Anyway, thank you all of you who pray and give the Bible and you’re the ones who make it possible. If you haven’t given a gift lately, would you call in today and help us out? We We can use your help. It’s really quite a big venture that we’ve leaped into here and we don’t pay any salaries and our budget is very lean, but the stations are expensive and we have to pay those bills or we could not be on the air.

We’d hate to have to cut an area where maybe you might be listening. And so would you consider calling in and giving a generous gift to Bible and no gift is too small. We know that some can’t give it all perhaps and we love you just as much. But if you could give, it would really be a help to us. So call in and give that gift by credit card over the phone or call in and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it.

You can mail that gift in or go to the internet and go to our online bookstore and there’s a place there where you can give to my blind and secure website. We’re now going to go to the phone lines. We had Tom before the break and Tom is still holding. Good to Tom right now. Tom, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the earth. Yes. This is Tom. I just want you to know we appreciate your ministry. So very much. We’re careful to set this time apart every day to listen.

Well, thank you for it. I was listening yesterday. I noticed you suggesting many churches today fail to obey the apostles also dalcon about women keeping silence in the churches. And I just wanted to remark that President Schimberg had been very careful of that there for many years. And not that we feel when they’re inferior in a way, they just feel that’s a large order at this time. I know you can quote First Corinthians 11 from them, a problem but I appreciate if you would ask him over verse 1 through 16 briefly and mention in verse 16 a little bit.

I appreciate you coming on that and I want to thank you again for your advantage for the matter. What’s after? What’s after was that you were talking about? At first Corinthians 16, I mean 11. Oh, 1 Corinthians 11? Chapter 11. Yeah, verses 1 through 16. Maybe I got mixed up. I have a mind on that verse 16 and maybe I said 16 was 1st Corinthians 11. I guess you know that verse, that chapter from Member Povlet, but maybe it deals with coverings, the first 16 chapters.

I appreciate for just going that briefly and mentioning I think as he winds up on verse 16 sort of mentioned that and I’ll hang up and I appreciate what thank you again for your ministry. Okay Tom, I appreciate it. God bless you. That’s 1st Corinthians 11 and what is interesting here talks about here God’s chain of authority he says in verse 3 I would have you to know that the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is the man and the head of Christ is God.

So there you have a chain of authority from God, Christ, man, woman, and of course the man and woman as a family over the children as children are being subject to their parents. Then we find here some interesting things about worship and it says in verse 14 does not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair it is a shame to him. There’s a distinction made here in the Bible between the sexes and the men should have of short hair and women were to have longer hair than men to obviously appear feminine.

And certainly that is another thing that’s happened to be abused down through time. But the battle warns about that. By the way, in the time of Christ, everybody, at least in the Roman Empire, was wearing short hair. If you look at these statues throughout the entire Roman Empire, the men always had that short hair off the… Three years after neck, many times like the Caesar would have his hair comb forward in a short bangs and off the ears and off the neck, it was a short haircut.

That was the hairstyle back then and that was the typical and obviously many times that gets violated today. But then the woman says her hair is a covering. So the woman, her hair is her glory. It says that if a woman has a hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering. And then verse 16, it says, if any man seemed to be contingent, we have no such custom to me that the Church is God.

So basically, you can make your choice here. It wasn’t a rule that was enforceable in the churches, but it was certainly the principle it got taught, and it would be a shame for them and they have long hair. So some churches in order to emphasize that have their women wear a bonnet or a hat or sometimes a covering, a scarf to cover their head, but actually their hair should be the covering. I think it’s saying here. And if anybody wanted to be contentious over that, Paul is saying that he didn’t want Christian to fight or argue over that.

But definitely that’s the principle taught in God’s word. So the woman should have longer hair than the man, the man should have short hair, and there’s a distinction in the sections there. And that’s throughout the Bible. When Israel ever was in rebellion, apparently men would let their hair grow out. God, for example, in Germanus, has cut off your hair. You rebel his people. So they apparently had gotten their hair long. And one of the problems in Corinth was is that the prostitutes, as women, would completely shear off all the hair on their head.

They were like bald. And so obviously he’s telling them that that was disgraceful and they shouldn’t do that, so that they should have their head covered, and it was a picture of their submission to God and this chain of authority that we just talked about a moment ago. So the woman was to let her hair be her glory and her covering before the Lord, and if she uncovered her head by shearing all the hair off, it was the known symbol in Corinth that the woman who cut her hair was a prostitute, it would be obviously approached.

Approach hope that helps a little bit. Thank you call a tom for that call We’re now going to Earl in D’Lan, Florida Earl. Welcome to by one you’re on the year James is writing to Jewish believers That we’re scattered and what’s interesting is that you have some false teaching out there today that says that some of the tribes are missing or lost They certainly weren’t lost in James’s time because he’s writing to 12 tribes and that’s all the tribes are word 12 sons of Jacob became the twelve times of Israel.

His name was changed from Jacob to Israel. And so to these Jewish believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who were writing to Jewish believers. He’s writing in particular to the Jews that were scattered in different parts of the world that were now given wherever they might be living. They weren’t living in Israel, but the letter was addressed to those Jews that had become saved. Now we’re brethren and members of the body of Christ that he was writing to tell them that they needed to serve the Lord.

It’s pretty much a book about if you’re going to have blessings from God, you’re going to have to serve. Thank you for that call. We’re now going to go to Carl in Tampa, Florida. Carl, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hello. I’m Nick Lindstrom. I’ve been hearing a lot of these television television talks about visitation from angels and at Christ’s visit them. I know what the Matthew 24 24 also matches 715 and in some places it’s moving against the false prophets.

Tell you the crisis here and there or the name to came to you could you expound®, a little bit more on that because like I said lately it seems like they’re all trying to outdo the other as far as the visitations going to heaven and that kind “/ little napkin. Hey, I did it. Carl, I believe all of that is phonable. I mean, this is not happening at all. He was taken upcellent to the third heaven to where God himself is, but then he was You are going to go to heaven, you are going to have to leave this body which means absent in the body, present with the Lord, if you are a believer.

And then you are not coming back. An exception was Paul and in 2nd Corinthians 12 he was taken up to heaven to the third heaven to where God himself is, but then he was He was forbidden by God to talk about it. He was told that he saw things and heard things that were unlawful for him to speak. So what is interesting to me is that how come some of these preachers around today on television radio are making claims that they’ve been to heaven.

They come back in. Have they been given permission by God to speak about it? I don’t think so. So even if they did, they shouldn’t, they should keep their mouth shut because obviously Paul says that he wasn’t allowed to talk about it, but I don’t believe they go anywhere. And it’s amazing to claim that they make one evangelist I heard said he actually went to heaven and he got a chance to see his mansion as it was under construction.

And I thought, oh my goodness, they just make these stories up. And then the sudden lady that just wrote a book about how God took her on a tour of hell. Obviously she is not informed about the Bible because first of all there’s nobody in hell right now and hell is going to remain vacant until Satan and his angels are cast in which is after the thousand year reign of Christ. That’s still future at least a thousand and seven years away if the rapture happened today.

So nobody’s in hell and so she could not have seen anybody in hell and been given a tour of hell because it’s empty. So there’s a lot of craziness out there and I would watch out for those that are making these kinds of claims. And I think that these are, as I mentioned, and you said that you heard me say about the false teachers that would be in the last days. They make up things. And Jeremiah 23 says that they preach the dreams and the visions and the deceit of their own heart.

They’re not really preaching God’s word. So watch Watch out, it’s a time of deception today and you just need to check out what people are saying against the Bible. And the likelihood that you’re going to have any visitation is unlikely, except from Satan. That’s right. Satan’s angels actually will make appearances and they will try to fool you. And so I believe that these are satanic encounters. You know when they talk about seeing this angel of light, have you read 2 Corinthians 11?

It says that Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. So I believe whatever angel is seeing is either Satan or one of his angels that are fallen that impersonated that and that also counterfeit so many other things about life beyond the grave and I would not pay much attention to that. I would steer clear. We’re not going to go to Matthew and Matthew is in Spring Hill for them. Matthew. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Good morning pass.

I just wanted to add a comment to then what you said about it concerning the gentlemen Todd Bentley who was leading their Bible in Lakeland. I watched a vitamin he claimed that opened up and Jesus walked out and came down to him as he was when he was on the earth and he had long hair and What’s interesting is that he said that he spoke with him face to face and his life-changing experience. experience. And what is interesting to me was previously in the week I was led to a site, a Muslim website.

And the website is Jesus-101.com. Anyone’s interested. And the experience I speak about is right on key with what this Muslim site was saying about what their interpretation of Jesus was that if you want to meet him face to face and CMS is the type of psalm and all you have to do is pray to them and pray that you’ll see them and you’ll see them claim that.

Why he bruised and that’s why they’re going certain to be well obviously he didn’t see Jesus because Jesus doesn’t have long hair and I think that’s very clear in the Bible and we pointed it out many times he would not violent scripture which we just quoted a moment ago from 1st Corinthians 11 14 is the shameful man have long hair Christ would therefore not have long hair but also we know that the hairstyle and the time of Christ was short here and also that Judas had to be paid to betray Christ.

When if he had long hair and everybody else had short hair, it would have been easy to just say go out and find the first time we’re long hair and you’ve got him. But obviously Jesus looked just like everybody else had the same hairstyle and Judas had actually walked on over and embraced Jesus and kissed him on the cheek to identify him from anybody else there. Of course, the other disciples were there. They all had short hair. And Jesus obviously also had short hair.

So whoever he saw was not Jesus. So yeah, watch out. Thank you, Matthew, for that. We have a number of offer questions here. Let me just try to take a couple of them. Greg in Tampa, Florida calls in and he says, please explain Romans 3-11. There is none that seeks after God. In contrast to your comments earlier about Jeremiah 29-13 that says if you seek God, you’ll find him. What you’re saying there, the loss of himself would never seek God.

It’s not in our nature to do thatBarned. We have a sinful nature that would never allow for that. But God interferes that if you read Romans 1 19 it says that, because that which may be known of God is made known in them. It goes on to say that man is without excuse and we should seek him. So if God did not first seek us we would never seek him. But God is seeking everybody. Yes, as a Luke, 19, 10.

The Son of Man has come to seek it to say that which is lost. So Christ is seeking the lost. God is seeking us out. He wants us to find Him. And then if we in response seek Him, we’ll find Him. Also in John’s gospel, we have the Holy Spirit is convicting the world of sin, of righteousness and judgment. And so we find that the Holy Spirit is obviously seeking us out. and obviously drawing us to him. And we can of course ignore that and die without Christ.

But if we respond to that and seek him, then we will find him. So good question Greg, thank you for calling that in. Lola, and the donor of each calls in and she says, please explain the meaning of parables. Well, parables were written to conceal truth, not reveal truth. That is why they can be difficult. I have a 10-hour series on parables where I talk about the principles of interpreting them and also go through many of the major parables and explain them.

But you have to be very careful because again they are not written to reveal truth but to conceal truth. Let me just read from Mark’s Gospel and we find here that in verse Chapter 4, it says, when he was alone, Jesus, that is, they that were about him with the twelve, asked him about the parable. He said unto them, Verse 11, unto you, the believers here, it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but unto them that are without, that is the unsaved, all these things are done in parables that, seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand less than any time they should be converted and their sins should be forgiven them.

So clearly here it’s telling us that they were given to concealed truth. If a person doesn’t want to know the truth, is not seeking God, they’ll be blinded to the truth and the truth will be hidden to them and that’s why people can read the Bible and get zero out of it. You know, 1 Corinthians 2, 14 says the natural man, that’s the unsaid man, the one who’s He’s not been born again, receive it not the things of the Spirit of God.

They are foolishness unto Him, neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. So if you’re lost and you just read the Bible, you’re not going to get much, if anything. You’ll not… The Bible is a tip-off that they are probably not saved. Once you become saved, then it is like the light switch turns on and God allows you to understand the things of His Word as the Holy Spirit opens our understanding which is called the doctrine of illumination, not the same as the doctrine of inspiration.

God, the inspiration is He being the author of the Bible. the Bible and giving us the scriptures by him using men who he spoke through that gave us the Old New Testament. But illumination is our understanding of the scripture coming open to us and that happens really once you become saved the light comes on. We’re going to go to Robin in St. Petersburg. Robin, welcome to Babylon. So enjoy your show. Well, thank you so much. I have to ask you a question though, just now when you said that hell is empty until Satan and his demons are thrown into the lake of fire.

It made me, it was kind of a wow item for me and I wondered about Lazarus, the story that Jesus tells about. The poor man Lazarus dying and going to paradise and then the rich man goes to hell. Right. Is that just a parable or is that? That’s for real. But actually the Greek word there is Hades, which is a hollow place in the heart of the earth where before the crucifixion both saved and lost went there. And they were separated by an impassable gulf and the place for the lost there is called a place of torment in Luke 16.

And there the rich man was in torment there in Hades. If you read Revelation chapter 20, after the 1000 year reign of Christ is over, everybody in Hades will be brought up, judged according to their works, assigned to the great punishment, and then cast into hell the like of fire. And yet they’re separated in Hades to a place of torture. Yeah. Now the saved are gone. Once Christ died, he went down there himself and was there three days and three nights.

And on the third day he emptied out all the saved, the Paradise has now been removed to heaven itself. And you see the dying thief, I’ve met him there in Paradise. As Christ said today, that shall be with me in Paradise in Luke 23. But then he emptied that place out of now in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 verses 1 through 3. It says that Paradise is now in the third heaven, which is where God himself resides. So now when people die and they are not saved and they go ahead to wait until the time when Christ comes.

Exactly. Okay. That is such a revelation. Thank you so much. Okay. All right. I’m glad. Well, that is something interesting. And of course, the apostles creed is wrong because it says Christ descended into hell. Christ never went to hell. He went into paradise in the heart of the earth during those three days and three nights from the time of his death on the cross and when he rose again from the dead. We have an anonymous call from Pampy, he says, there are references to deaconesses in the New Testament.

I am wondering why you believe only men should be deacons, elders, I understand, but would have some clarification on women serving. serving. Let me give you an example. I’m going to read here from the King James from Romans chapter 16 and it says here, I commend unto you Phoebe, our sister. Here’s a woman which is a servant of the church which is in Chinsura. Well, the word servant there is translated into some of the modern translations as a deaconess.

The word deacon simply means a servant, but there was no office of deacon for women. Women could be servants, they could serve, and obviously women should induce her Christ and live for him, but there is no office of deacon. The deacon is an office of a position within the church, the body of Christ, elders and deacons, But there’s no women ever appointed at office If you read the scriptures, you’ll never find that but here is the word servant which every deacon Actually the Greek word means a table weight or a servant Somebody waits on tables and so women who were serving were called servants and In some of the translations are translated that deacon signing it’s really unfair to translate it that way So hopefully that’ll answer your question.

Thank you so much. We’re at the end of the hour. I hope everyone is listening as trusted Jesus as your Savior. If you haven’t trusted Christ, you need to. Just say, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much, but I believe or trust Jesus Christ right now is the one who died and shed his blood in the paper. My sins was buried and rose again from the dead. The moment you trust Christ is your only hope of heaven God saves you.

And boy, there’s nothing greater than to do that. And then your sin is not. will come from God’s word as you read the verses that make the promise that who’s to ever believe in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life.
