So we’re excited about people raving about 2nd Peter. We told you that this is a book that Devil doesn’t want you to read, doesn’t want you to study that it’s really in time information as Peter prepares us for the time of false teaching in the end time it’s just before the Lord returns. It’s all about the return of Christ, about the inspiration of Scripture, about the power of God’s Word and our lives and how to be able to know what will be asked of us even before it happens and prepare us for the time in which we’re living.

You’ll want to get that 10-hour series of teaching on 2nd Peter available on CD and DVD. You can call and order that. We’ll ship it right out. It has been powerful. We also have 1st Peter. We have the Gospel of John. We have Romans, Hebrews, James, Revelation, and so many more. About 40 different series that are available. We have something brand new that we’re going to announce right now, and that is a new music side of Bibleline. We have some children’s albums that are absolutely fantastic, but not just that. The fact that you can personalize it and put your child’s name, grandchild’s name, nephew Nieces name in the records.

All you have to do is go to our website and if you click on Bibleline news on the homepage, you’ll see the link there to our children music department and you can also go to our online bookstore and I have your page we have a link to the music. or you can go directly to our separate website for that Bibleline. You can actually type in the name of your child or grandchild and listen to samples of all of these different CDs. and you can order them and you can put your own. Grandchild’s name on the outside of the album and And you can put a greeting from you and All of that you can order it right on the website and have a trip to you This has been so powerful for my grandchild When we play this and she’s heard it now for several months she stops in her tracks and it begins by saying and Her name is Isabel Isabel your special God loves you And you know when I say are you special she says yes and how come God loves me well

She’s getting it. She’s fact memorized all the songs now and she’s only 30 months old Well, I’m telling it has a powerful impact and will really reinforce your Attempting to reach your children and your grandchildren and I know it’s a great new addition to Bible and so check it out And if you know what her right now Also, the website, if you go to BibleLineMinistries.org and then go to the homepage and click on Bible ign News, there’s the link about our music now.

And when we get toward Christmas, we’re going to add six Christmas albums as well that you can put your child’s name. In each CD, their name will be repeated about 40 different times throughout the songs. And it’s not just a digital imposing of the name, it’s actually sung into the song and you won’t believe how powerful this is for reaching your children. I hope you’ll check that out. BibleLineMinistries.org. Go to the Bibleline list on the homepage, click on it, you’ll find the link and check it out for yourself and start sampling the music and you’ll find that it’ll be a wonderful, wonderful tool for you to reach your children for Christ.

It’s very powerful. And the one that I like so much, Jesus loves you, which you might see on the screen will be a green type of a cover on it on the CD. It has even John 3 16 and it will say the child’s name, God loves you. And the name and the God so loved the world. And it goes right to the Gospel with John 3 16 with the child. It’s extremely powerful and I think it will be a real tool to win your kids to Christ.

We’re going to go down to the phone lines and then we’ll take our callers. People are already calling in. They’re already getting up online, ready to go. When we go to the callers, you can do that too. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We were talking yesterday about Romans 10-9. I really don’t like to use the Roman road in evangelism because Romans 10 9 and 10 is used and it really requires explanation. It’s amazing to me more than those who get it right, most get it wrong when they read Romans 10 9.

It says here in this wonderful verse that I thought to confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus. really should read Jesus as Lord. But what is referring there to is the deity of Christ. It’s clear in the context, it’s clear in the quotes from the Old Testament that is talking here about when you recognize the deity of Christ and believe that Jesus who is God in flesh died on the cross was buried and rose again from the dead, you’re going to be saved.

That’s what the gospel message is. That’s what the verse is saying. And it’s really saying that you need to acknowledge that Jesus is God. Yesterday we talked about Philippians chapter 2 which talks about this very same theme and how that Jesus who died on the cross of Calvary because he as a man went to the cross was obedient to death and died. God therefore also has highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name. The name of Jesus is actually from the Hebrew Yeshua, and it’s the contraction of two words God’s personal name, which is Yahweh, and then the word for salvation Yasha.

And Yeshua is that contraction. It occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament, and we find that the English pronunciation is Jesus. That is the name. The Bible tells us here in verse 11 of this chapter in verse 12, verse 11, that every tongue will one day confess that Jesus Christ is Yahweh, or He is Jehovah, however you pronounce God’s name. And one day in hell. He says, everyone in hell will confess that Jesus Christ is Jehovah. That’s what this person is saying.

Same thing as in Romans 10 and 9. And what it is is that they’re going to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Jehovah. He is God. That’s right. Every Jehovah’s Witness will one day confess what they don’t confess now. That Jesus Christ is God Himself to God of creation. That He is Yahweh or Jehovah. And when you believe that Jesus has got who took on flesh and that he died and was veered and rose again from the dead, the Bible says that Romans said nine that you’re saved.

But what we have here is many people not doing their homework and they’re saying that Jesus Christ is Lord and they mean by that master or the one who rules over you. in the speech of it being a symbol of authority and sovereignty and so on, and you have to submit yourself to the Lordship of Christ in order to be saved. That is not in this passage at all. Nowhere does it say that? In fact, it isn’t that at all because that’s works for salvation if you had to submit to the Lordship of Christ to go to heaven.

Now there are those who teach that and guess what happens? And this is why I am so passionate about this because if you read Romans, rather Matthew 7, Jesus talks about how the majority, perhaps of those that are called Christians, will get the wrong meaning here and they will recognize the worship of Christ as far as serving him after you become saved, but they will apply it as a means of salvation and as a result not be saved at all.

Let me quote to you Matthew 7 verse 22 where it says, many, and I believe this many in contrast in this chapter to the few, means the majority. Many will say to me in that day, and that day is really the great white throne judgment described in Revelation 20 verses 11 through 15. And it says here in Matthew 7 verse 22, many or the majority will say to me in that day, Lord Lord, and obviously these people are recognizing the Lordship of Christ because this is the Greek word Chorios and it’s referring here to Master or Lord and speaking of exactly what we were talking about people getting wrong about Romans 10-9 about Christ being Lord over your life.

Notice they then are obedient to that Lordship and they brag in three areas where they have been obedient to the Lordship of Christ. And they say, haven’t we preached in your name? And haven’t we healed in your name? And haven’t we done many wonderful works in your name? And look at the result in verse 23 of Matthew 7. Christ then will profess unto them, I never knew you. I once knew you and I lost you. That’s impossible. Once you become the Savior, save forever.”

But he says, I never knew you. Why? Because they didn’t trust Christ and His death and shed blood as the only means of their salvation. They were trusting in their works and in their obedience to the Lordship of Christ. Many preachers use the expression, Christ is Lord of all or He is not Lord at all. I’ve sat into those kinds of preachings where they’ll say if Jesus is not the Lord of your wallet Then he’s not your Lord in other words if you don’t give to that church You’re not saved because Christ is not your Lord And if you’re not faithful in attendance Then Christ is not your Lord and therefore you’re not saved and they add works in In a very subtle way It’s an incredible way of blackmailing people into being faithful in their church and giving money to the church But guess what?

The end result will be they’ll all go to hell because they’re trusting in their works to be saved rather than Christ’s death and shed blood. These people, this crowd here in Matthew 722, it could read, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, didn’t we trust in your death at the cross of Calvary that you were God who took on flesh, paid our sin, didn’t fool with bear and rose again for the dead. Christ would say, come on in.

on in. But notice they are not trusting in Christ to get them to heaven. They’re saying, Lord, look at what we’ve done. And we have submitted to your Lords He approached in your name, healed in your name, done many wonderful works in your name, and Christ will say, I never knew you. And then he says, depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Did you know that this is the unpardonable sin and that the greatest sin that somebody can commit is to commit that unpardonable sin to reject Jesus Christ and substitute yourself in You the person of Christ at Calvary to pay for your sins, in other words, this is a slap in the face of God to reject what Christ and Jesus saying on the cross it is finished and saying, no, it’s not.

I have to do my part. I have to be obedient, it’s a book of Christ. I have to keep on working, keep on giving, keep on climbing, keep on whatever. And God says, I never knew you. I never knew you. Depart for me ye that work in equity. This is the difference between being saved and being lost. And these people will not enter heaven. Christ says, I never knew you. And he says, depart from me. Ye that work in equity.

You know, Christ will never cast out somebody who has come and trusted him as their Savior as the only means of their salvation that he paid it all. In John 637, Christ says, Him that come with me, I will in no wise cast out. If you come to Christ, you’ll never be cast out. But here Christ tells this group, apart from me, they’re cast away. Why? Because they have never trusted Christ. They’re trusting in what they have done. They’re preaching in the name of Christ.

healing in the name of Christ and their wonderful works in the name of Christ and they’re not saved at all. I plead for the souls of those that are listening right now. If you’re trusting in anything in addition to what Christ did for you at the cross, you will not be saved. It tells us in the Bible that if you add one work that you have made void God’s death at Calvary in the first of Christ. that the cross of Christ is made of none effect.

1 Corinthians 1 17 says that Paul tells us there that he was sent to preach the gospel not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. If you try to alter this message or change it up to make it sound good, I’m afraid that you might be in danger of altering the message and it becomes a message that won’t save the cross of Christ would be of none effect to somebody who’s saying Christ plus my works will get me to heaven I plead for you that are listening that you trust Jesus alone that he paid it all and when you trust in his finished work he saved you then yes were to serve him but not to be saved we serve because we are saved I was saved at a split Second in time when I put my trust in

Jesus Christ is my only hope of heaven in 18 years of age and I’ve been saved ever since and will be saved forever Because Christ finished the work of salvation now. It’s my privilege to live for him and tell others about this good news Well, I’m Dr. Engleinser We’re gonna go to the phone lines and I hope you’ll call in if you like 1-800-576-3771 we have Bill in Bradenton, Florida bill. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Thank you.

Go for it. Well, don’t listen on the radio because it’s 20 second delay. Oh, you’re on it. We’re going. Yeah. Thank you, Dr. Hank. How are you today? Fine. Bless your ministry, sir. My question centers around a little bit what you’re talking about right now about accepting and not rejecting Jesus as God and has to do trying to connect into total depravity and Romans 1, 18 through 20, and Romans 2, 14, 15, it speaks as you well know about the fact that God writes it on our hearts and that we have no excuse for not knowing.

And at the same time, there are those that say we are dead and that we have total depravity How do you balance having the ability to accept or reject? That goes along with this written on my heart. Well, of course, yeah. The Bible, of courseakespear, tells us the Holy Spirit is convicting every man of sin, righteousness and judgment, and obviously God is seeking us. And as we respond in seeking Him, we will find Him. The Bible says that although we are spiritually dead, The dead can hear the Word of God.

The Word of God is living in powerful and penetrating. It says in Hebrews 4, 12, between the soul and the spirit and between the joints and moral of our bones that the Word of God cuts right through all of that. And in John 5, we have a wonderful verse where Jesus tells us that His Word is the Word of God. He says here, barely, I say unto you, he that heareth my word. And believe it or not, him that sent me has everlasting life shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death unto life.

Now notice what he says about his words. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. He’s talking about people that are spiritually dead, that you can penetrate their soul with the Word of God. They can hear it, they can believe it, and when they believe it, they live, they have eternal life, and they’re saved. And so this is what is so exciting.

You know, when I take the Bible and I share with somebody what the Bible says, what Christ said in the Word of God, that message is living in powerful and cuts right to their soul and they can respond and believe and trust the Lord. I had a lady this week and said, you saved me through Bible and radio. Well, I didn’t save anybody, but Christ saved her when she heard his words and believed them and became saved. But you know, I hear that all the time of people getting saved by hearing the Word of God and they’re spiritually dead, but they come alive when I hear the Word.

So total depro- That’s right. And they can still hear the word and believe on the gospel of Jesus Christ. So we have to give that gospel out even though they’re spiritually dead, they can believe. Okay. I was wondering because I spoke to a couple of different pastors and they said the tool they can agree and grasp and trust in some of those that some they can. I was surprised that some of the ones that said they believe in total deprobed, they didn’t believe it.

No, it’s a mystery. Well, I can’t. I can’t even understand. Thank you so much. I can’t agree on any of the five points of Calvinism as they are taken to the extreme where the unbeliever has no chance that it’s not by his belief or acceptance of Christ, but it’s because they’re already chosen and saved by God that they believe is a consequence. They got it backwards. We believe and then we become saved. Calvinism teaches that God chooses you, saves you, and you believe as a consequence.

We have John down in Sarasota. John, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Dr. Lindstrom, thanks for your ministry. I greatly appreciate it. Hey, I had a quick question for you. I was in a service the other day and the pastor was going through in commandment. Looking at the commandment, talking about we should not make an image of anything in heaven or earth or in the sea and then trying to use that passage to say we could not have a cross in the church.

Kind of raise the red flag when you see what you thought. Well, I don’t think so. I don’t think it’s talking about that, but it certainly means any image that you would worship. I think if somebody has a crosshanging around their neck and they think it has supernatural powers, and like when you see a Dracula movie that somebody will hold a cross up and then the devil will run from that or whatever. That score is craziness. But obviously it’s a symbol of what Christ did it across for us when he gave his life and I don’t see a problem with that.

But I think it’s more talking about the like the Golden Calf and the other things that are forbidden in the Old Testament where they would find an object that they would worship and that’s a different ball game altogether and that’s forbidden. Okay. Thank you. And now we’re going to go to let’s see here. Chris in Tampa, Florida. Chris welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Okay. Hello. Yeah. Hi, Dr. Hank. I had a question for you. Luke chapter 1241 all the way through 48.

I just want to know who those servants are they talking about? Is it the church, the structure of the church and. It’s anybody that is under Christ as a king. The kingdom was being offered until he was rejected by Israel and then he turns to the Gentiles. us. The Bibleline is the king of the kingdom of Christ. He is a servant to the king. Unless you are a believer, you will not be admitted into the kingdom. And so it is talking about the word servant throws people off.

It is not talking about a believer. It is talking about an unbeliever who is obviously under the authority of Christ the king when he comes back at the second coming. of the Church, not our King. King. But when you read the Gospels, you have to keep in mind that the Kingdom was being offered if Christ had been received by the Jews as their King. He would have set up that Kingdom 2000 years ago and this age would not have existed.

The 1000 year Kingdom would have come and gone. But we’re still waiting for it and it will happen soon. We’re at the end of the first half hour, we’re going to have to take a break. But we hope that you’ll continue to listen to the second half Go to my website and check out the new Bibleline Music for Children section. Just click on the Bible and Israel on the homepage and you’ll be connected. And don’t forget to pray for Bibleline and if you can, give a gift to Bibleline.

We need your help and you can call and give a gift today by credit card over the phone. Call it. And right now we’re going to take a break. We’ll come back and do a second half hour. So, I’m Dr. Englister, and I’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Englister. It’s so great to be able to be with you, and it’s Tuesday, and we really want to thank Thank you for allowing us to be on the air because it is your prayers and your gifts as listeners that make it possible for us to be on the air.

If we didn’t have our listeners support, I would not be on the air. I’d be sitting here talking just to myself. But because we have this partnership and our listeners have been raised up by God to be a partner in giving to financially support this ministry we are able to be on the air. In other words, we don’t pay any salaries. We just are trying to get this gospel out as far as we can. We’re pleading for lost people’s souls to understand the clear, wonderful gospel and make sure that they don’t have a prevented form of it that will not save a gospel that is powerless, gospel where the cross of Christ is of none effect.

We obviously are concerned that people understand clearly the wonderful gospel and fresh Jesus alone is their only hope of heaven. You can help us and we can use your help as we are stretched as far as we can go because we feel an urgency that we’ve got to get this message out. This is coming soon and we believe very soon. Would you call today and give a gift by credit card over the phone? Would you call today and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it and you can mail in a gift to BibleN?

Or would you go to our website, BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the online bookstore. There’s a place there where you’re able to give to BibleN on the website. We sure would appreciate it. I want to thank you in advance. God bless you and thank you, all of you, who pray for and give the Bible on your such a blessing and inspiration to us. It says partnership that enables us to continue to be on the air. We do truly thank God for everyone who is a part of this ministry and you are as you give.

We’re excited about the new opportunity we have here to reach your children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces through the music now that we’re offering on our website. Call and get information about how to connect if you have trouble. But just give the website, click on the home page on Bible Eye News. There’s a link there to our music section and we have six wonderful albums for children’s and you can actually type in the name of your child or grandchild or nephew and niece and actually sample each of the six CDs we have there and order one of those and it will powerfully impact that child.

It so has impacted my grandchild. You won’t believe it. We have now to go to our second half hour Bible and so keep you ready to tune right where it is. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and it’s wonderful to be with you. Again, this is Tuesday and we’re excited about being with you every day of the week, Monday through Friday.

We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios at the Calvary Community Church. You’re welcome to visit us. We’re easy to find. We’re right next to the airport. That is the Tampa International Airport. If you can find the Tampa International Airport, I believe you’ll be able to find Bible and headquarters at the Calvary Community Church. Because we’re right next to it. We’re nestled right up against the airport on the west side. We’re just one block directly west of the main north-south runway.

And so that gives you a visual in your mind as to where we are. And guess what? All the interstates and major highways come right by the airport. And so we’re easy to find, easy to get to. And if you ever fly in or come into Tampa from out of town or out of state, please swing by the airport and swing on the west side and come by and knock on our door. We’re easy to find. And if you go to our website on the page that says Contact Us, we’ve already got it set up with our address in there and you just type in your address, hit Go and it’ll print out and give you a map of exactly how to get to us from wherever you might be in the United States.

And so that’s kind of neat. And it’s already set to go just check that out. We’re excited about a brand new thing and we’re announcing it today for the first time about Bibleline music. We have six albums for children that are incredible that will allow you to have your child’s name or grandchild or nephew and niece placed right into that album in the songs and be heard by your child or grandchild or nephew and niece over 40 times on any one of these albums and it is so powerful.

My granddaughter, no matter how many times she’s heard it and she’s heard it now, dozens and dozens of times, she just is stopped in her tracks and is spelled on it. She hears her name in the songs that are sung. She’s got almost all of the memorized. When we go out together, she wants to sing. She says, let’s sing a song, Papa, and we sing together. And she says, let’s do another one. And then let’s do another one. And she doesn’t want to quit.

And she’s got the words memorized. And she can just recite so much of the Bible. What an aid to my being able to talk to her about Jesus at 30 months of age. This album has done more than just been nice music to listen to. It has impacted her personally and really has, I think, brought the truths of the fact that God loves her. It begins by saying that God has created us and God has made us and that each child is special and it says the child’s name and how you’re special.

I’ll say to my granddaughter, 30 months old, you’re special and she says I know. I say, how do you know? God loves me. She knows that because she hears this over and over again. Well, you can go right now and you can actually sample, put in, you can type in the name of your child, your grandchild, your nephew and niece and sample all these different six albums and hear what it sounds like with the name of your child or grandchild and nephew and He’s in the song and you can order it and have your own greeting on there to your grandchild with her.

Their name printed on the outside of the CD and a little greeting I love you or God bless you and from whomever it is, Grandpa and Grandma or whether it’s you as the parent and order it that will be shipped right out to you. And you will be actually having a great tool to reach children. I am so excited about this. I really believe it’s going to be a powerful tool for everybody listening to reach the children. The children today need to be reached more than anybody else.

This is the generation I think that will be perhaps going into the tribulation period unless we get them saved and get them to be raptured out with us. I don’t want to see children left behind, but if they don’t know Jesus, then there’s an age when they would be left behind, so let’s pray that we can reach them.

You can go to our online bookstore on every page. There’s a link to the Bibleline music that we have now or go directly to our website for the music called Bibleline music for children dot org Bibleline music for children dot org. Check it out. I think you’ll like it. We’re gonna go to the phone lines. We have Linda all of our phone lines are lighted up. We have Linda from Dunedin and Linda. Welcome to Bibleline you are on the air Linda.

Are you there? I’m here. Good. You’re on the air. Hi there, Dr. Hank of Bl, is it storming there? Is it in here on Honeymoon Island, Dunnegan? I have no idea. I haven’t looked out the window. We’re in here barricaded in on the radio. All right. I just want to say hello to Donna who was baptized on Sunday. She was a daily listener as well and a dear person and sister and face. I just have a question regarding tithing in St.

Luke, Chapter 6, 1st, and the rest of I started going to different churches and I even in fact am going to the New Duresh One, my Hispanic, Temple and Dunne, even on Friday for a Shabbat. And I have tried, but now I’m going to different churches and I’m going to Calvary community as well. I want to be faithful, I want to be obedient, I want to be a blessing and that I want the verse 38, giving it shall be given unto you.

Good measure, press down. When you tell me, is by going to different churches and giving a little bit of my might to every place? Does that all culminate? And if I give to the 700 clubs to operation blessings, things like that, is that considered tithing? And I’ll hang up and listen to you. Okay. First of all, we’re not under the Old Testament law of tithing. You just have been giving us from the heart and it is obviously something that every believer ought to do and it’s the way we can invest in eternity.

But let me just caution you that you have to be very careful where you give. If you give to an organization and their message is not right and their doctrine is not correct, that comes out as a minus for you. So I think you’re obviously looking for a blessing which Luke 638 is talking about. If you’re giving to an organization that the message is not correct, then you’re going to lose out. Second John tells us that if we give Godspeed or blessing or financial support to an organization who’s message is wrong, then you are going to be losing out on reward.

Verse 8 of Second John says, look to yourselves that we lose not those things which we have of rot or work for, but that we might receive a full reward. You want to get the full benefit for what you’re doing and for your giving. It warns us that if we give God’s speed to those whose message is not correct, then it says we become partaker of their evil deeds. That’s why they’re in a couple of verses further down. That really caused me to reflect on where I’m giving.

So I don’t just give to any organization. I make sure that their doctrine is correct, that they’re giving out the correct message, and that they’re in line with the Bible, or I will not support them at all. And so you need to be very, very much doing your homework about where your money is going. So do you once said you need to do your giving while you’re living so you’re knowing where it’s going? We’re not under the tithe, but I believe that you ought to give where you’re blessed, but you need to be careful that you’re not under a message that is false or tainted because then you’re giving your credence and support to that and God says you’ll be a partaker of their evil deeds and you’ll lose out on the full reward you could have had.

Alright, we’re going to go down to Geno in Tampa, Florida. Geno, welcome to Bibleline your Honor. Okay. Hello, Geno. I’m calling about two questions. I was doing some reading last night in the old school field. First, Peter 17, when he said about your works and the other just like the works. I want to know exactly what he thought about. What does that mean? And the second one is that what chapter was that you didn’t? You didn’t tell me. It’s not the 17th chapter.

Okay, what was it? First year, 1 17. Okay. Alright, and the second question. I ran into a few witnessing, uh, the whole business this weekend, and so I started doing the witness to me. I did, I know about the police, and I, I poured a few that I read from a piece of paper that you gave me about the, was not in their Bible. But anyway, I needed to know… Where is exactly where Jesus says that he is God himself, of course, that’s one that they don’t believe in.

Where he is so. Next time I wouldn’t tell him exactly. This is where he says that he is the Lord and God and Jesus also. And I think I flipped it. Thank you. On the second question, John 824 is a great verse and the witnesses don’t have a good response for it, where Jesus said that you shall die in your sins for if you believe not that I am, you shall die in your sins. The phrase I am is the name that God himself uses at the burning bush when he appears to Moses.

And this is the God of creation, the God of the Old Testament, the God that sometimes is pronounced Jehovah, but more recently most people agree that it should be translated or pronounced Yahweh. And so Jesus claims that He is the very same God that appeared to Moses that He told Moses that He was the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and the God who created this universe. And so unless you believe that Jesus is God, you will not go to heaven.

As we said earlier in the monologue today, according to Philippians 2 and 11, that one day everybody in heaven above and in hell beneath and in the earth will confess with their tongue that Jesus Christ is Yahweh or Jehovah. And so the witnesses may not believe today, but in hell they will believe. Of course, they don’t believe in hell, but they’ll believe in hell. They’ll believe in in Jehovah or Yahweh that Jesus is Jehovah or Yahweh who came and took on human flesh and they’ll confess that he is God that he is Jehovah who died to pay for our sins.

So that’s a great verse John 8 24 and Jesus loved that phrase I am Because he used it numerous times and he amplified it by telling us more about his character in this person by saying, I am the door, I am the light of the world, I am the bread of life, I am the living water, I am the way, the truth, I am the life, I am the resurrection and the life and in Revelation he is called, I am the alpha, I am the omega, I am the beginning, I am the and it goes on and on.

I could quote tens of these phrases where Christ liked the phrase I am. He says, I am. I am. I am. And the Joe’s witnesses reject that he is I am. And so you might want to focus on that. John 824. The passage in 1 Peter chapter 1 that you are talking about here says, and if you call on the Father, who without respect to persons Judge according to every man’s work past the time of your surgery here in fear he’s talking about That God is going to judge every man according to his works Now he then goes on a verse 18 that tells that we’re not saved by our works But every believer will go to heaven and be judged according to their works for degree of reward in heaven Every unbeliever will go to hell but will be judged at a separate judgment according to their works to determine the degree of

punishment and hell. So every man is going to be judged without respect to persons. It doesn’t matter whether you’re red, yellow, black or a polka dotted. If you are a believer in your going to heaven, if you’re an unbeliever you’re going to go to hell, but every man will be judged according to his works. And at your destination, believers will be judged to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward and heaven based on works and every unbeliever will be judged according to his works to determine the degree of punishment and help.

So I hope that answers the question for you and thank you for calling in today Geno. We’re now going to go to Leonard and Leonard is in Richmond, Virginia and Leonard welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Thank you, Dr. Hank. I heard a brother speaking earlier about those that I spiritually did and how the word is able to know that they put it in the man and they are able to become safe. I was just going to mind that my private read and read this verse hundreds of times, but yesterday I just stood out when Jesus said that I come that you may have a life in John, saying that I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.

Okay, kind of confused. confusion this time when I read it when sitting my eternal life and what he said Well, I think it’s twofold, or are things talking about being saved when you receive everlasting life? The abundant life being when you fully enjoy your eternal life as you are about living, not to be saved, but to really show your love and your gratitude and thankfulness to God for saving you. Then you have the joy and the fullness of the potential of rewards and effectiveness that a you as a believer can have.

So you can trust Christ and just be saved. But then I like what the hymn writer wrote and you have to be able to pay attention when you sing hymns too. This hymn I’m talking about now that I will mention is about the Christian life. and it says trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy. Now you trust Christ and you’re saved, but to be happy it says in to Him trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy than to trust and obey.

So you trust Christ to be saved, then as you obey Him after you’re saved that’s the That’s the way happiness and blessing and rewards comes in your life. We’ll see you in the next one. And that’s the abundant life. So you need to separate, and that’s called rightly divided into order truth, which we try to talk about and teach here on Bible and all the time, that there’s a difference between being saved and then a difference between that and being a servant or disciple or the Christian life, which is our working to live for Christ, not to be said, but because we are and that brings about blessing and reward and an abundant life.

So when you get all done with your life, Peter talks about an abundant entrance into heaven in 1 Peter 1 and that comes about by being faithful and living for Christ that when you die, you don’t enter heaven with no reward but you enter heaven with a full reward. about that earlier in 2nd John that if you are not careful, some of your works, although you are working hard, might bring about very little reward. I believe if you are serving in a bad church where the message is wrong, guess what?

All that labor, you might get some points for it in heaven as far as reward, but you are going to suffer the loss of the full reward you could have had. It may be no reward because it is 2nd John chapter 1 that If you’ve been an organization, a preacher, a group, a denomination, Godspeed and God’s blessing, then you’re going to be particker their evil deeds. And when the judgment comes, that’ll cost you. And so you want to give and serve and do where the message is correct.

If you’re in a bad church and you’re giving to that church, if you’re in a bad church and you serve in that church. If you’re in a bad church and you are supporting and praising and endorsing that church, you are asking for trouble because God says you’re a partaker of their evil deeds. And there are tons of verses that say, get out, get out, get out. Hit in Revelation, it talks about the same thing in chapter 18. It says, come out of her, my people.

That is religious organizations that are teaching wrong. It says, otherwise, you are, again, it says, a partaker of the evil deeds of that organization. And in Second John including says, it’s connected to rewards for the believer. It says, look to yourselves, that you lose not those things which you have worked for. That means that how you’ve labored and given and all those kind of things, maybe in a bad church. And you’re You’re going to pay a price one day because it’s not going to bring about reward and heaven because you’re going to be partaker of the evil deeds of that church and you will have been promoting a false message and a false gospel and maybe a false presentation of everything.

So you might be saved but you will suffer the loss of reward one day. I hope that is helpful to understand that. But the Bible is very clear about when you serve a Lord you need to break off from all that is false and stand tall with the truth. You need to find a good Bible-believing teaching church where you can attend and give them your support and to promote and invite people and get them saved and help them grow and disciple them.

But you don’t want to support a bad church, a bad organization. So you have to check out what do they believe? If you’re not sure what to ask or inquire about, then we have a sheet, an article that I’ve written that will be happy to send you free charge, and that is beliefs that matter. I have about 25 basic doctrines that a good church ought to believe. And you can go and find out whether they agree with these points or not.

And that is about the Bible being the Word of God, the infallible and errant inspired Word of God. And about the trick of the Bible. The fact that God is one God but exists as eternally as three separate eternal persons. God the eternal Father, God the eternal Spirit, God the eternal Son. But the deed of Jesus, that Jesus is God, it took on flesh. About salvation, being holy of Jesus and nothing of ourself, that we simply receive it, my faith and faith alone in Christ and what he’s done.

So that’s just a little bit of a bit tall and you can ask for that or go on my website and go to the bottom right hand corner of the home page and look under Dr. Winston’s articles and you’ll find beliefs that matter is one of those that you can print out on your home computer on your printer. And we’re going to go to David now in Richmond, Virginia and David, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. David?

Yeah. You’re on the air. Go. Okay. My question is about the padding. I know a lot of preachers on TV. They still teach that you should be tabbing and giving 10% of everything you make or you’re considered to be rotten artists from what they tell me. I was just wondering what in the Bible teaches us that we don’t get that under the law of the follow that habit stuff anymore. Alright, well they’re quoting about that, Robin got everything from Malachi.

This talking to Israel is talking about the tithe, which was a part of the Ten Commandments and the, not the Ten Commandments, but the commandments are given from Mount Sinai. And that was basically the Old Testament law given to Israel. We are now not under the law. If you read Romans 6, 7 and 8, it’s pretty clear that we’re not under the law, but we’re under grace. we are under grace giving, which means you give from the heart not as the man.

I like what it says in the 6th Corinthians 9 8. It says that God wants us to give from the heart, not grudgingly or because of even the need but from the heart because you want to give because you love the Lord. And as you give under grace, somebody once said should you give less under grace than we did under the law? law. So you might want to give more than 10%. But obviously, 10% is a probably good number.

So I recommend that, but we’re not under the obligation of the law that thou shalt give 10%. But we can choose. And it says that every man purpose in his own heart to give as God has blessed him. So it’s a percentage of what God has blessed you with, and you can choose to give 9% or 11% or maybe as some I heard the testimony of Mr. Armor who you might know with connection with the armor meets. He gave 90% and he kept 10% for himself.

So obviously if God has blessed you with more you might want to give more and he did pretty well on that 10% wouldn’t you think? But he gave 90% of his monies to the Lord and kept 10% for himself. So it doesn’t have to be, you know, get stuck on that number 10. Hope that helps a little bit, but we’re not in the law. Read Romans 6 in particular, because we’re not in the law. We’re under grace. And the law was nailed to the cross, portions 2, 14 through 16, and he took it out of the way.

And now what we do, we do from the heart, not because thou shalt, thou shalt, or thou shalt not, but because we love the Lord and because we want to please him. We do it from the heart. We’re now going to go to James or Jimmy in Lakeland, Florida and Jimmy. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. You’ve done good before you’re saved. Are you blessed on earth for that and are you also rewarded for that in heaven or do you have to anything you do after you’re saved?

You are then rewarded for in heaven? Well I believe our rewards in heaven are primarily from the time we get saved till the time we die and leave here to go to heaven. But obviously there are benefits even before you’re saved by living in accordance with the scriptures. Obviously you’re going to live a peaceful, more peaceful life and a more prosperous slide. If you steal and murder, you’re going to wind up in jail and you’re going to have a miserable life and probably not be able to accomplish all the goals that you would like to accomplish.

But really, according to the Bible, it’s apparently from the time you’ve become saved till the time you die that that is the time when God will bless your good deeds, as far as rewards in heaven. Well, wonderful. Thank you very much. Thank you for your call and that was Jimmy in Lakeland, Florida. We have very little time left. It looks like we’re at the end of the show.
