And then we’ll catch our off-air questions and we have a bunch of those. We’ll try to see how many of those we can get to. One of the things that keeps coming up again and again, it’s amazing that salvation should be misunderstood when it shouldn’t be, but I think it’s because of it. 2 Corinthians 4-4 says, the God of this world, and the God of this world, according to the Bible, is Satan. That’s right. He is the one who is in charge of the planet Earth right now.

If you don’t like the headlines, if you don’t like what you’re seeing in the news, make sure you blame the right guy, and that is Satan, because he’s the one who is the ruler of this present world. Now, God is sovereign over the universe, and certainly Satan is under his authority, but right now, Satan is the God of this world. You can go all the way back to when God created the heavens and the earth. He created the earth perfect and inhabited and placed Lucifer in charge of all of the angels and all of the earth and all of the creation here on the earth.

He got that title, Wayback When, the God of this World. When he decided to overthrow God in heaven and he left the earth, God judged the earth and he destroyed all life on the planet earth. The earth became void and without form as we find it in Genesis 1 and 2. Then about 6,000 years ago God warmed up the earth, incubated it according to Genesis, and prepared it for life again. in seven days he made the earth inhabitable again and this time he puts man on the planet.

But Satan fallen, still has that title, the God of this world. You know it’s interesting that in the book of Revelation it’s not until Christ comes at the Second Coming that Jesus takes away this planet from Satan and he does it because he It has the right to do so because he defeated Satan at the cross 2,000 years ago. Let me read a most interesting verse in chapter 11. And this is by the way at the time of the Battle of Armageddon.

Jesus is coming back out of the heavens and he defeats the nations of this world and he takes away this world and its kingdoms from Satan. This is in verse 15 of chapter 11 of Revelation and the seventh angel sounded and there were great voices in heaven saying the kingdoms of this world are now become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign forever and ever and ever. Well I just couldn’t help but breaking the song I didn’t mean to do that to you don’t turn that radio dial.

But when Jesus comes at the second coming, the Bible tells us the kingdoms of this world now become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign forever and ever. Right now Satan is the God of this world. And if you don’t like what you see, make sure you blame the right guy. Satan gets all the credit. Satan, it’s his world. You know, in 1 John, let me just tell you, I used to sing that song before I got saved.

He’s got the whole world in his hand. He’s got the whole wide world. Well, anyway, I read 1 John 5 19 and it says in 1 John 5 19 that Satan, the wicked one, has the whole world in his hand. He’s the God of this world according to scripture right Right now, I stop singing that song. I just couldn’t sing it anymore. I couldn’t bring myself to sing about Satan who has the whole world in his hand because he does.

He is the prince of the power of the air. He’s the god of this world. Second Corinthians 4, 4. It doesn’t happen until the Second Coming of Christ that the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of this Christ and then Christ will rule. You know, once Christ comes and takes charge. There will be peace on earth good will toward men. What was it announced by the angels that the first coming peace on earth good will toward men was postponed because Christ was rejected.

Because the Prince of Peace was rejected, peace on earth disappeared and we have had nothing but war and rumors of war ever since Christ left. And it is not going to get better until he returns. This world right now is in a mess, as you can see in the headlines every day. The threat of nuclear war, the threat of Israel in Iran or the United States in Iran going to battle here very shortly. Some of that talk is driven in spite of the price of oil to at least a temporary new height of $143 a gallon.

It’s amazing, but we’re watching Bible prophecy being fulfilled. But the kingdoms of this world are right now, Satan’s. By the way, do you remember when Christ was baptized? And then he went out into the wilderness and fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. One of the three temptations that Satan brought upon Jesus was that he took him up into a high mountain apart and showed him all the kingdoms of this world. And Satan said, If you’ll only fall down and worship me, I will give you all the kingdoms of this world.

Was that a bona fide offer? You better believe it was. Absolutely. Satan has the power to Give those kingdoms away and here Jesus if he had fallen down and submitted himself to Satan. Satan said I’ll give you all the kingdoms of the world. Well obviously Jesus defeated him at the cross and at the second coming will come back as victor and take away those kingdoms and as we just read in Revelation 11 15 the kingdoms of this world are now become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign for and he shall reign for.

ever and ever and ever. Wow. Well, it’s exciting, isn’t it? We’re on the winning side. Jesus Christ is God. He will come back and take away this world from Satan. Satan right now is in charge. If you read the headlines any day, it’s not a pretty world and a lot of people blame the God of the universe. And they say, if he is God, why does he have all these things to take place? Well, he is God. But Satan right now is the God of this world.

Again, you need to give the right guy, Credit Satan, is the one who is in charge of this world system, and that’s why we have an evil world. And it’s not going to get any better until Jesus Christ returns first at the Rapture to snatch us out, and then seven years later, at the end of the seven years tribulation, he will take over the planet, and then there will be peace on earth, goodwill toward men. If you trusted Christ as your Savior, there is only one way to be saved, only one way to go to heaven, and that is Jesus Himself.

Jesus said in John 14, 6, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. No man, no woman, no child, no one can come to the Father except by Jesus Christ. If you reject Christ, my friend, you have no chance. Because there’s no other way. There’s no other way. Peter said it so clearly in Acts 4, 12. He said, neither is there salvation in any other. For there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be safe.

If you want to go to heaven, you must trust Christ. I remember as a young believer realizing that, wow, people I cared about were going to go to hell. unless they trusted Christ, and I realized that somebody had to tell him, just like somebody told me. I was raised in church, I was confirmed, I was baptized, I was homogenized, I was pasteurized, I was capsized. You could name it, I went through it, but I was never saved. Until somebody finally made it clear that salvation was not of works!

Not of works! Ephesians 2 9 says, salvation is not of works. any man should boast or brag. I’ll never forget the night that I saw that the night I got saved. And when I saw in the Bible that salvation was the gift of God, Ephesians 2 8, when I saw that salvation was not of myself, Ephesians 2 8, when I saw that it was by mercy, by grace I would be saved through faith in Jesus Christ. My ears perked up big time, but when I saw verse 9, when it said not of works, lest any man should boast.

I said to myself, somebody is wrong, somebody is wrong. Either my church is right and the Bible is wrong or the Bible is right and my church is wrong. And I had to make a choice and I trusted obviously the Bible over my church. My church taught wrong. Most churches teach works for salvation. It’s sometimes very subtle, but you have to do something to be saved according to most churches when The Bible says you can do nothing. It’s not of yourself that our best righteous deeds are filthy rags inside of God Isaiah 64 6 and you have nothing to offer God.

The hymn writers certainly got it right when he said, just as I am I come without one play. But that thy blood was shed for me. I have nothing to offer God. You don’t either. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care where you attend or what you do. You don’t have a thing to offer God. The Bible says your best, righteous deeds are filthy rights inside of God. You have to come just as you are. You have to simply recognize your need that you’re lost and headed for hell and you need a Savior.

Jesus Christ is that one. And when you come to Him, by faith trusting that He made the full payment for your sin was buried and rose again from it, had God saved you. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make in your life. I hope you’ve made that decision to trust Christ to say, but you can do it right now. You can whisper a prayer. You could say something like as follows. I got on the center. Admit it. We all are.

But right now, what I just heard made a lot of sense. I trust Jesus Christ right now. As the one who died and paid for my sins, in full on the cross by his death and shed blood was buried and rose again from the dead. And I trust Jesus Christ right now to save me, to give me the gift of eternal life. And the moment you do that, Tom saves you. Would you whisper that prayer, Lord, I am a sinner?

We all are. But God, to best on a how right now, I placed my trust in Jesus Christ as the one who made the full payment for my sins that was buried, that rose again from the dead. I trust him right now to be my Savior, to forgive my sins. Do you need the gift of eternal life? And you know, he does fulfill the promise he made that, who so ever that would believe or trust in Christ would not perish but have everlasting life?

I’m Dr. Inchlin from this is ByBlind. It’s wonderful to be able to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We’re going to go to our live callers now. You’re welcome to call us. The phone number is right it down. 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to start with Soda Fort and we have Ed on the line. Ed, welcome to ByBlind. You’re on the air. Yes. Hello, pastor. Good morning. Good morning. My wife has taken about two or three of Best Wars studies.

There’s one coming up in August that’s going to be a simulcast of multiple churches throughout the state. I’m just wondering, it’s called living proof live. I was just wondering what you thought about her preaching. Well, I’m not really in the fund of women Bible teachers. The Bible tells us that women are not to be Bible preachers and they’re not to be servitority over the man. Apparently, a lot of good has occurred, but I don’t think they use the NIV or one of those I’ve had translations and I’m not familiar real carefully with the doctor.

I think I’m going to have to leave my homework here for you. But whenever a woman is ahead, usually there’s a problem. In the Bible you’ll see that everywhere. In fact, the in-time church is called the woman. The woman, the woman, the woman, the woman six times in Revelation 17 alone. And as Dr. Schofield says in one of his notes, whenever you see a woman mentioned in the religious realm, it’s always telling us something is out of place or something is wrong.

But hopefully your wife is a careful student and pays attention to what the Bible says, because that’s what we have to do with every book we read. I believe we have to be careful to make sure that we always Make an evaluation of the book that we’re reading in the light of the Bible to say whether the book is right or not because the Bible is the only book that we can trust and Come on is being accurate. So I’ll Try to do a little looking around and see what I can find out, but I believe easily that doctrine begins this May when women are in charge.

Thank you Ed and we’re going to go to John in Lake Helen, Florida Good morning. Good morning to the folks. Furthermore, that salvation is good news. First of all, salvation is the gospel. It wouldn’t be good news if conditions are added to it. Can you please just speak on the fact that salvation is a milk of Christianity. I’m I’m going to go ahead and bring up and let you speak on these two things. things. Well, thank you, John. It’s really the heart of the Bible.

It’s the major message, the redemption of mankind through Jesus Christ. God who took on flesh is the center theme of the scriptures. You find it from Genesis to Revelation that basically God was going to provide redemption through a Savior who would be God taking on human flesh. And the story begins to unfold early on in the book of Genesis in chapter 3, verse 15. We have that first wonderful promise there where it tells us that the seed of the woman would ultimately defeat Satan and be the savior.

And that of course is a reference to Christ being born of a virgin as it talks about seed through a woman which is a man being born without a human father. and then also the fact that turn. He said that Christ would probably be crucified as it says Satan would bruise his heel at the first coming in Genesis 3.15. And that is a veiled reference, I believe, to the crucifixion. The only death we know of were the victim. His heel is bruised, is crucifixion because when their feet are spiked together, to take every breath, a person that was crucified had to push up on that heel, and it became bruised.

It’s a I think a veiled reference to the crucifixion of Christ Dave. It’s tons re 16 Martin Luther said this Martin Luther reformer said John 3 16 is the Bible in miniature for God’s to love the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever Beliefeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life thank you for calling in and Listening over there in Lake Helen, Florida. We now have David plant city Dave, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Good morning, Dr. Hank. How are you today? Good. Thank you so much for taking my call. I’ve got two questions today. I think you made reference in Job 33. I don’t know the verse if you could give it to me where God will not let you die until the gospel is brought to you. And if you know, could you tell us who designated Jesus cornerstone of time? Okay, well obviously God set Christ as the cornerstone and he was rejected at his first coming by the builders that is Israel but will be received at his second coming by Israel.

Job 33 is an interesting passage about a person who is seeking will find the gospel. will be brought to him and that he will be preserved through war, disease, or battle, or whatever until a messenger can arrive to give him that message. And it’s just a marvelous psalm. Almost the entire psalm is devoted to that topic and how that if a person wants to know the truth, the truth will be brought to them. I usually start about verse 14 right to the very end of the chapter, but that’s a great chapter.

It also tells us that the person when they believe has the promise of a brand new resurrection body that will be youthful, and the flesh will be fresher than that of a baby’s. We now are going to go to Annette in Tampa, Florida. Annette, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi, I have two questions for you. First one is, were Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve’s first children? And is there any indication as to how old they were when Cain flew Abel because obviously Cain was already, there were other people and he was afraid that they were going to get him after he flew Abel?

And then my second question is, was Satan not aware who Jesus was when he tempted him those 40 days and 49th? Because obviously he knew that Christ and God were one and the same. I mean it was ridiculous for him to try to tempt him obviously. So I was just wondering if he had any clue of who he was dealing with. Okay. And that, the first question is that Adam and Eve, their first children were Cain and and when Cain killed Abel, apparently the murder took place when they were about 125 years of age.

Because immediately after the death, God brought another child into the world through Adam and Eve that would be the replacement for Abel that would have been the line of the Messiah. And it says that Adam and Eve were 125 years of age when they conceived and brought forth the Seth. So, the many people that inhabited the earth at that time were the brothers and sisters and descendants of those first children. You know, it says in Genesis chapter 5 and verse 4 and 5 that Adam and Eve had sons and daughters.

So, they had a lot of kids. So, they had lots of children and then also their children had lots of children. And some estimate that the world’s population at the time of the murder was around 100,000. Jesus knew, rather Satan knew exactly who Jesus was and no doubt about it. And he was, of course, hoping to defeat Christ by having him sin, but he was not successful. But no doubt about it, Satan knew. But a lot of things Satan does, doesn’t make any sense.

He knows he’s going to lose, but he’s still fighting and scrapping, wanting to take as many people to hell with him as he possibly can. And thank you. I hope that helped a little bit, but Adam and Eve had Cain and Abel. Those were the first two children that they bore, but they had many other children read chapter 5 of Genesis the first five verses. Well, we’re glad to have you with us today. We’re coming up on the break here and we want to remind you that this is now the 1st of July, and Bibleline is listed and supported.

We could use your help and we really don’t apologize for asking because we want to get the gospel out. the gospel out. We believe we are running against the clock. Christ is coming back. I believe it is important for us to reach out with a message so that we can reach as many as we possibly can before Christ returns. Many believers are not equipped and we believe by blinders equipping people with answers that they can talk to their family and friends with confidence knowing the Bible has answers and tell them with great confidence that this This is the word of God.

So if you would call, give a gift by credit card over the phone that would be great or call an astronaut, or a boat to be sent, you can mail your gift in to Bibleline. But we really need your help. We have no other means and we are a little bit short in June. So maybe you can help us up, make that up here in July. So if you want to help out, that would be great. I’m Dr. Englundsstrom.

We’re going to take a short break. We’ll come right back into a second half hour Bibleline. So keep your radio tuned right where it is and I’ll be back in just a minute and we’ll catch you on the callers. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. Inglins for minutes. Tuesday and it’s great to be with you and we thank you for tuning in to the Bible and broadcast.

Have you been to our website BibleLineMinistries.org? We have our radio programs there you can listen to as often as you like. I hear people tell me all the time that they love to do it on the internet because they can later when they go to an archive can back it up fast forward it, pause it, have their Bible out, take notes, listen to a portion again and again and it’s almost like that instant replay on your on your TV set when you’re watching a football game.

Well that’s what you can do with the internet. And tell your friends because you know we’re reaching around the world. 158 countries now have logged on and you can tell your friends in the Far East and the Pacific Islands, Australia or Europe or Asia or Africa. It’s wonderful. You can tell them to tune in to Bible. We know we have many that listen in Africa. It’s exciting. We’ve had them actually attend our church here in Tampa telling us that they have listened and watched our programs in Ghana, for example.

And we’re just pleased as we get correspondence from many, many African countries. We’re looking forward to maybe reaching some of your family and relatives in those in the military and in other parts of the world if you’ll tell them about Bibleline. And by the way, in the States too, because if they don’t have a radio station broadcasting Bible and they can catch us on the Internet, not only live, but any time of day or night they can catch us on the Internet.

And I hope you’ll pass that word along for us here about Bible. That’s in great resources in our resource center. We want you to know that some of the teaching series that I’ve done really are well received. We have just finished 2nd Peter, 10 Hours of Teaching on that wonderful book that is one that liberals scholars hate. And I believe the devil hates. He wants that book not to be read, but it equips us right now for the time in which we’re living in.

2nd Peter, 10 Hours of Teaching, you can call and order that series on CD or DVD. Also 1st Peter, we just finished that before the 2nd Peter series and 10 Hours of Teaching in available on CDR DVD. Before that, the Gospel of John, 20 hours of teaching, the Gospel of John was a marvelous series. And I know you’ll enjoy listening to it on CD. A lot of people tell me that they’ll listen two, three, four, five times and each time they get new things out of the series as they listen to it over and over again.

I’m Dr. Hank Hinsford. We’re going to return to the stations that have been on break into a second hour so keep your radio tuned right where it is and join us. For a second half hour of Bibleline and we’re going to do that right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

Alright, we’re back from that break. This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we’re coming to you live here on Bibleline from our studio. studios in Tampa, Florida at the Kelvin Community Church where I’m the pastor and we always invite our listeners to come by. We have our resources center open every day and we have people coming by every day before and after radio and we just enjoy getting to meet our listeners and feel free. A lot of people will knock on the door and they say I’m here because I was invited to come by.

And that’s true. And we say, well, we’re so glad to see you. You did come by and you can look around and we’ll get a chance to meet you and you can meet us. And if you’re out of town, you can’t possibly get here from where you might be living, listening to Bible and then you can go online and see our Resource Center, Bibleline Ministries. Now, ORG, just click on the online bookstore and you’ll have our Resource Center right in front of you.

You can order directly off of the Internet site, but also if you come in person, and you can pick up the things that you want the resources. And we have that Schofield Bible, which I recommend so highly. That’s the old Schofield. Let me warn you, if you go out your Christian book store, they’re going to sell you the hybrid. This new one is watered down. Notes have been added that are not by Dr. Schofield. Notes that I would disagree with.

And they’ve done a number of things, which I just totally disagree with. I wouldn’t buy the new Schofield Bible that they have out. But the old one, we do, that’s the only one we stock, we don’t sell any other of the school field bottles because the newer ones are, I think, faulty. The notes are watered down and I think they’re ineffective. Anyway, we want you to take a look at our resource center, we have some wonderful books on theology, we have some great commentaries.

I like, my favorite is really the Jamison Faucet Brown. Three volumes we have it for a gift of a hundred dollars that helps my blind and you’re going to have a comment on every verse in the Bible. That’s really great. And somebody just told me this weekend they finally got it after hearing me say that and they agreed. They said it is great. It is great. It’s almost like a little secret that nobody knows about. But a lot of commentaries, and I have a law, I probably have every commentary that’s out there.

There’s nothing like the Jameson Foset Brown. We have that. It sells for a lot more in your Christian bookstore, but we have it for a gift of $100.00 comment on every verse in the Bible. Want you to come by this coming Sunday, we’re having a 4th of July celebration on Sunday, July 6th. And that’s the closest Sunday to July 4th. We’re going to have a picnic outdoors. We’re going to be barbecuing hot dogs and hamburgers and we’ll have potato salad and baked and chips and apple pie.

That’s right. It’s a family event. If it’s the weather’s in Clement or it’s hot, you can go into our conditioned educational building and enjoy the meal inside. But we’ll have a lot of fun outdoors. And it’s a beautiful shaded area that we have behind our facility. And we’ll have picnic tables and it’s going to be nice. You’re welcome to come this Sunday, the third Sunday. We’ll also be at dinner day and you can come on the third Sunday as well as this first Sunday where we’ll celebrate the Fourth of July.

We’re gonna go back to the phone lines we have Nathaniel down in Belgrade’s Florida and welcome to the program. I hear your radio Nathaniel turn that down and welcome to Bibleline. Alright, I’m right here. Are you there? Alright, yes sir, what can we do for you? Yes sir, about no, yes sir, they asked the question about Moses and he’s wise and you respond to the question that he didn’t have, and why? No, I didn’t say that. It says she was from Ethiopia, she probably was black.

Yes, he’s working in the Westles, in the Worthy Fokui, I’m seeing red the side is black and they’re all big, so she was black. And that was his only wife. That’s the only life I know about for Moses, yeah. Okay, so everyone thought of one another’s wife, so… Not everyone’s just… just wrote the other one, none of his wife, right? Well, are we talking about the same woman or no? Yes, sir. I told my woman’s wife. Yeah. So somebody’s wife.

Right. Because I know he hasn’t sure about… I know he hasn’t sure about one of his wife. My z… is a poor woman. And, uh… Alright. So you wasn’t a black woman though? Well, I don’t know that. That’s what I wanted to know. I’ll have to relook the whole thing over then and obtain them and I’ll try to get you some answers. I can’t give you any more today, but I’ll try to do that. We’ll write that down and make another call.

And Tampa, Florida is calling in. Carl, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, that’s it. How you doing? Good. You and the path I’ve heard you say that the Bible speaks about the 1 Corinthians 13, 12, where it talks about face to face. That means the reference to the scriptures. The Bible, is that right? Yeah, exactly because it’s talking about how the early church didn’t have the scriptures. But the scriptures really are the revelation of God so that we come to know Him in His mind and what He has to say to us.

And so it’s like a child growing up where we can see clearly as you look at a mirror, if it’s not clear, it becomes clear as you read the Word of God as the mirror becomes clear. Right. Yeah, I know it speaks about things with the graphs, didn’t we? I was looking up the other day and I was looking up something else and then this came up and I just started, I built up these strongs and the word for face to face and the Greek, I just pronounced, I think a Storm A, but it’s that little heightening on the top of the old.

But anyway, that word according to Staunson-Cordans is the same word that is used in, let’s see, Acts 25, 16. So in X, excuse me, in 1 Corinthians 1312, the words face to face in the Greek stormer, which is the same words that are used in Acts 25, 16. The man is being accused of something. He should be able to face his accused in the strongs. the same word used, 1 Corinthians 1312. If you could expound a little bit on that and if you know.

It’s not talking about actually being in the presence of Christ. He’s talking about the Bible allows us to see God face to face. It’s an expression that means that, and clearly it says here that the temporary gifts would cease when that which is perfect is come which I believe is the Bible verse 10, then that which is in part shall be done away. And then it says when I was a child, I spanked as a child, I understood as a child and I thought as a child, but when I became a man I put away childless things.

So he’s talking about these gifts would be put away. They were for the infancy of the church as it was maturing and growing. But as the New Testament record was completed, then we would get a clear picture of Christ and His will in His Word. And we see through glass darkly now that was while the New Testament was being written. And while the temporary gifts of tongues and knowledge and prophecy were still operative, but it says, then I shall know even as I am known.

And that’s referring here to the completed Word of God. We’ve got a wonderful book in our resource center called The New Testament Teach You on Tongues by Merle Unger. He exegetes this passage and he makes it so clear that it’s without a doubt talking in the entire chapter about the Word of God being delivered and that the church in its infancy from Pentecost until the end of the first century was just in its infancy and had gifts that helped them along just like a child has toys and things that aid them as a child but then when they become mature they don’t need those childish things anymore, they get rid of them and that’s exactly what happened with the temporary gifts and they’re gone and this is talking about the Bible call we sure do thank you for calling in we’re now going to go to john in north port florida john in north

port welcome to bible and you’re on the air morning dr ang my name is john I live in Northport, Florida. I have a question for you if you don’t mind. Okay. Okay. My wife and I both come from a Catholic background originally, and we both kind of figured out that that was not where we needed to be. And since then we’ve been going to the Baptist Church. But I’ve been listening to, I’ve been studying the Bible and listening to a lot of different fellows on the radio.

And one fellow in particular, I won’t put you on the spot. I’ll just use his first name. His name is John. says that even your faith, your amount of faith is given to you or your measure of faith is given to you by God. Well, if that is the case, I mean, where is our part in it? It’s like, you know, there’s nothing that we do. In other words, I don’t want to get it open to can of warm and pre-destination, but should we pray for faith?

Because I’m somewhat confused. Well, that is confusing and that really comes from Calvinism. And in fact they actually use Ephesians 2-8 to say that faith is the gift of God. If you read Ephesians 2-8 it says, 4 by grace or mercy on Meredith Faber, are you saved through faith? And then the next phrase says, end up none of yourselves. And so they, in the next phrase says it is the gift of God. And they try to make the point that the phrase that none of yourself is referring to faith and the phrase it is the gift of God is referring to faith and that’s not true.

What is interesting is that those phrases end up none of yourself and it is the gift of God or all neuter in the Greek language and everything in Greek has to line up by gender. Every noun, every verb, every adverb, everything has a gender ending, masculine, feminine or or neuter, and so these have to refer back to a neuter subject. What is interesting is that faith in Greek is feminine, so it cannot refer back to faith as the subject.

So the subject is salvation, which is neuter, and it’s salvation through faith that’s not of yourself. It’s salvation through faith that is the gift of God. It is salvation through faith that is not of works, lest any man should boast or brag. But faith is not the gift of God. So those who believe in Calvinism believe that God picks out those he’s going to save, and he gives faith as a gift to those who he chooses to save so that they can believe which they believe is a consequence of being saved by God first.

In other words, the Calvinist gets it backwards. They say that God saves you. He selects you and saves you, and then you believe is a consequence. I believe the opposite is true, that you believe, and then you’re saved, and it’s the opposite way around. So, I believe this is totally wrong, and it is confusing. I agree with you that that kind of teaching is very confusing. And you know, it fills over into the Christian life, and the extreme Calvinist believes that everything you do is all been predetermined.

So you don’t make any choices at all. When you got up this morning and put on a green shirt or red shirt, that was God determining that and you’re just a puppet on a string. And obviously that’s not true. God has given us a choice. We’ve been made creatures of choice. And that extreme position is called fatalism. And the poor fatalist is just trapped. He can’t do anything. It’s just like the one He fell down the solar steps and as he is hurt and trying to pick himself up, he says, thank God that’s over with.

Because obviously he had nothing to do with it. He was thrown down the steps by God and he was a paking God, but it was an experience in his past now. But I don’t believe any of that. I believe the Bible does give his choice and that is not true. Some do exhibit more faith than others, and it talks about that as a measure of faith in people. But otherwise, no. Everybody has the capacity to trust, and that is what faith is.

Children are born with the capacity to trust their parents. We all trust. I get in my car, and I trust that it’s going to start. I trust that the brakes are going to work. I trust that the steering wheel is not going to fall off. I’m going to be able to turn that wheel and avoid a collision, or I’m going to be able to push down those brakes and stop up with traffic light and so on. Trust is something that every human being has built in as a capacity for us to trust and that’s what faith is all about.

Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Thank you John and keep listening down there in North Port Florida. We now have Jeff in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Jeff, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yes sir. Thank you. Enjoying the program. I’ve heard a few callers in the last few days that have brought up the question about Moses’ wives and what she brought. They’re Through my study, you can add to this and maybe help me, but through my study, Dr. Hank, I’d like over here in Exodus, it appears to me that it wouldn’t be such a big deal if Moses was black because he doesn’t appear to be white himself.

If you look in Exodus chapter 4, verse 7, it says, and the Lord said furthermore to him, and now the hand into the bosom. He put his hand into his bosom and when he took it out, behold his hand was leopress as snow. And the very next verse, and he said, put the hand into the bosom again, and he put it back into his bosom again and plucked it out of his bosom, and behold it turned again as his other flesh.

So it appears this was the first illness in the first healing that works simultaneously right there in two verses and looks like the thickness was turning wide of snow, and the healing was to turn back to his original color. So apparently he wasn’t wide to begin with. Well, I don’t think that’s a reference or to his skin color necessarily because the telepathy would turn you like still wide. And of course, when you get older, you generally get gray hair, which is white.

But I don’t doubt that Zapora was black, and I don’t know why there’s a big discussion about this, but I’m going to try to do some further search. I think the real question was, did he have a second wife? And that’s the part that didn’t get resolved yet. So we will check on that. Thank you for that input, Jeff, up there in Chattanooga. and uh… we’re now going to go to dar now in uh… st hisberg dar now welcome to buy one yet i use my doctor and yet i’ll be able to go to the discussion yesterday and all i couldn’t find the script you’re about the gentleman who can’t see you upon the ground and all i guess you know i’m going to do that’s it’s a genesis thirty eight and jennison thirty eight it’s alright thank you for you’re very welcome and uh…

leave his name with own and we’re now going to go to Laura in the land Florida and Laura welcome to my one year on the air. Yes, you started the program. I understand I don’t know if I remember correctly, but maybe one year old. But I believe that there’s nothing we can give God or we can offer God. as far as being eligible for health. salvation, you’re right. We are our best works, our best feeds. Isaiah 64 6 says we’re all as an unclean thing and all our righteous-nesses are as filthy rags.

So to be saved we have to say, Lord, we’re sinners unclean, undone, unable to save ourselves and trust Christ to save us. But then after we become saved, God can bless our service and our deeds and there are things that we can do that are worthy of reward. And so as a believer, yes, we ought to serve the Lord, and there are things we can do. Of course, we should be reading our Bible. We should be praying. We should be witnessing to the lost.

We should be fellowshipping with other believers of light faith. And we should pray. And many of those things are rewardable and are worthy. But you could do all those things as a lost person that’s still going to help. Yes, we remember a scripture where God said, I do not want your sacrifices. I want your love. So I think we can offer him our love. Well all of that is true, but only as a believer. Even your love for God will not save you.

That’s one of the things that’s mentioned in the book of Revelation among those that are adulterers and hormongers and everything else. It also says, and whosoever loveth shall be cast into the everlasting lake of fire. So the fact that you love God will not get you into heaven. You must believe that He loves you and gave Jesus Christ to die in your place. trust in the love of God and His provision. I have a question. Can you tell me about cremation?

But you’re loving God will not save you either. No, I’m not talking about salvation. I’m talking about what I can give. Oh, yeah. Well, of course. I can’t give in my love. Now I have a question. And you tell me about cremation. Okay. Cremation. Many are doing that today because of the tremendous price, the cost of doing a. a traditional funeral, it will not affect your salvation, Laura. I prefer to be buried, but sometimes your family members are the ones that will make that choice unless you have really made it clear what you want to have done.

But many times they have that expense to bear, and so today they’re cremating a lot more, but it will not affect your resurrection body will not affect your salvation. But the Jewish people in the Old Testament and believers in the Bible, buried as a testimony of the belief in the resurrection that their bodies would be raised and they would be given new bodies in heaven. But it will not affect your salvation. You don’t have to worry if you were cremated, it would make a difference.

The Bible says that at the moment of death as a believer you’re absent from the body, you’re present with the Lord, and whatever happens to the body left behind will not affect your new body in heaven. So it’s a cremation. And then when the resurrection comes and the body is on my own declaration from the sea I know that my body will be ashes, no? Well it’s going to return back to dust anyway and there are people that are born rather that die in a house fire.

What are you going to do? That you’re cremated there? What do you like it or not? And so if you’re caught in a burning building and you’re burned up, you’re cremated on the spot. But it won’t affect your resurrection body at all. It won’t affect the resurrection body. No, no. Nothing you can possible for God. That’s right. He can find every one of those little molecules if he needs them to put them back together if you were going to use those very same ones for your resurrection body.

Don’t lose any sleep on that one, Laura. Excuse me? Don’t lose sleep on that one because you’re going to be, as a believer, you’ll be with the Lord and he’ll give you a brand new body. You know, the reason why I call and I ask, especially the one about the love, giving a love because that was the first commandment, love, the Lord. you got with all your heart with all your strength and with all your mind and he wants that love.

I agree and I think that’s wonderful. But I was talking at the beginning of the program that as far as being saved there’s nothing you could give your love or your work. No, absolutely. No. Because of my work is by the salvation by believing in Jesus Christ. Amen. Well, we’re on the same page, Laura. Thank you. Okay. Thank you, Brian. All right. So after we’re saved, then we can love the Lord and serve Him and God will reward that.

We’re going to Albert and he’s in Richmond, Virginia. Albert, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, sir. I was trying to find in 1 Samuel where it said that Saul was saved. Okay. In 1 Samuel 28, we find that Samuel, Saul goes to the Witch of Indoor. We find the witch of Indoor calls up Samuel and he actually comes up. She freaks out because this had never happened before and she realized this was really the Prophet Samuel coming up.

You know in the normal experience of somebody trying to contact the dead, one of Satan’s angels will impersonate the dead and you get tricked. You’re not to go into that area because Satan will deceive you. When Samuel did come up, we find that Saul asked him about what’s going to happen when the Philistines make more against him. And we find here that Samuel tells him in this passage, it says here in verse 19 of chapter 28 of 1 Samuel, Moreover the Lord will also deliver Israel with the end of the hand of the Philistines.

tomorrow get ready in the middle of the verse tomorrow shall thou and thy sons be with me.” So we know Samuel was saved so Saul went to be with Samuel and his sons also so they were all saved they went to be with Samuel and were saved. Thank you. You’re welcome. Thank you Albert in Richmond, Virginia. We now have Karl in Tampa, Florida. Karl, welcome to Bible End. I was asking you a question and then I think at the answer then I was asking you cut me off.

I don’t think you did it on purpose. I mean you cut me off but I was asking. I’ll go back and start all over. Okay, now the question was on the and the storms concordance which I know that you that you sometimes refer to and you know the face to face right when it says face to face the word the same word I would agree but that doesn’t really change you know the The context demands the interpretation there and face to face in the context there is the fact that when you have the completed Bible, it’s like actually seeing God face to face because you have his written expression.

There is the living word which is Christ and then there’s the written word of the word of God and they are both God’s word and they both allow us to get a good look in the face of God. So I don’t think it’s talking about the return of Christ if that’s what you were saying. We’re out of time. It’s hard to believe. Again, Bible and is this just supported. We need your help.
