If you want a hard copy of the brochure mail to you, if you’ll only call in and give us your name and address, we’ll be glad to mail that out to you. And you’ll be able to have it in your hand and study it and make your decision whether you’d like to go with us. Of course, we know the Lord is coming back soon and maybe we won’t even have a chance.

The Lord might come this year. Who knows? We should be looking for Christ to come back. The Bible tells us 23 times in the gospel, watch for His coming. And so we should be watching. You’re delinquent as a believer if you’re not looking for Christ’s return. So we all ought to be looking and watching for Christ to come back. Let me recommend some of the things in in our Resource Center, we have a wonderful little booklet. We have many questions about divorce and remarriage.

And this one is a small pamphlet for $7 by Chuck Swendoll called divorce and remarriage. Divorce and remarriage, the fairest treatment I’ve ever seen on the topic. And if you are struggling in those areas, you might want to call and order that. I forget how many pages. But it’s a nice little booklet for $7 and we’ll ship that out to you. Also we have our CDs of not only the Sunday sermons, but of also the many teachings I’ve done over quite a few years.

And we have 40 different teachings of 10 to 12 hours of teaching each. The book of Revelation is 12 hours. The Holy Spirit is 12 hours. We have Daniel 10 hours, but we have the Gospel of John, which turned out to be 20 hours of teaching. Colin and choir and our operators can help you. You can also go online and take a look at our resource center. And you might want to get these. Many of them now are now being offered on DVD as well as CD.

That means you can actually view, watch and listen while the presentation is given. given and we go verse by verse and the book of Hebrews is one that causes a lot of people trouble and we go verse by verse we don’t hedge on the difficult verses we explain them head on and I think you’ll find it’ll just open that book up and be making it alive to you. Romans is one of the great books of the New Testament that everybody brought to become familiar with and we have the full teaching verse by verse on the book of Romans available also on CD.

Plus we have commentaries. There are two that I recommend. That’s the Jamison Faucet Brown 3-volume commentary. I think it retails for about 150. We have it for a gift of 100 to Bibleline. We also have the Jay Vernon McGee 5-volume series. That’s a wonderful set beautifully bound. It retails for about 200. We have it also for a gift of 100 to Bibleline. We have Lewis-Barry Shafers Systematic Theology. I think it retails for about 180. We also have that for a gift of 100 to Bible.

Plus the Scofield Bible in the 1909-1917 editions, which is the one you want to get. The old is better than the new in this particular case. And it’s really great. We also have the Scofield Bible in Spanish. Lots of things. Call and ask for a resource sheet to be sent to you. We’ll mail it out to you. Free of charge, You can take a look or you could go to the website, BibleLineMinistries.org. And you’ll be able to click on the online bookstore and you’ll visit our Resource Center.

Wouldn’t that be great? Anyway, good to be with you. Thanks for tuning in. It’s Friday. Again, I hope you attend church someplace. If you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come out and visit with us. And a week from this Sunday, it will be our third Sunday. That’ll be a great day to come by. Those of you who always have a dinner on our third Sunday, right after the worship service, and so you can come and join us for the service at 1030.

Be my guest, bring your family, your appetite, your Bible, and join us for the service and then stay for the lunch, the dinner that will follow right after. And of course, this third Sunday in August, we’re having a baptism. If you have not been baptized since you’ve been saved, you really ought to, as a believer, obedient to Christ’s commands. It doesn’t save you, but as a believer there’s always a blessing whenever you’re obedient. And it’s a picture, a testimony of how you’re washed of your sin by the blood of Christ.

The water doesn’t take away your sin. It’s merely symbolic. But the blood of Christ is what washes away our sin. Revelation 1, 5 says unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. What a great verse that is. In any case that will be at 3 o’clock on the The evening afternoon of the 17th of August. And if you like to name the list, you know, the 582agascar536 evening afternoon of the 13th of August.

And if you like to name on the list, that would be great. We’ll get instructions to you. And I’d be the one to baptize you. So if you are a few driving distance we’d love to have you become. A part of this baptism on and you can invite as many family and friends as you want. They could take pictures and make a wonderful photographic record of the event. And I think you’ll find it a beautiful scene on a small lake green grass right down to the water’s edge sandy bottom and shade trees.

Oh, it’s going to be a wonderful event. We hope you’ll join us if you have not yet been water baptized. Our phone lines are lighting up. here and we have already four or five collars waiting. If you’d like to call in that number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to turn right now on our Bibles for a few minutes to Acts chapter 2. I want to take a look at Acts 2-38, a verse that is really probably one of those that has maligned the most in the New Testament.

Peter here on the day of Pentecost had preached, and he had told his audience who were really the leadership of Israel that had been responsible for crucifying Christ that they had made a big mistake. They had actually crucified the real Messiah and how Christ had now come back from the dead to prove and demonstrate that he was indeed the Messiah and therefore they needed to change their mind. Verse 36 is the conclusion of Peter’s message and it says here therefore let all the house and assuredly that God have made that same Jesus which one it says here whom you have crucified so the one they had crucified that very one they had of the cross.

God has made Him both Lord and Christ. That means He is God and He is the Messiah. Well, they heard this message and it really did impact them. And it says, when they heard this, verse 37 of Acts 2, they were pricked in their heart and they said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? And then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized. Now here we have to do some defining of terms because the English word repent doesn’t mean the same thing as the Greek word translated repent.

The Greek word, the New Testament was written in Greek, is metanoia. M-E-T-A, meta means change, noia, N-O-I-A means mind, the two words together metanoia means change of mind. what Peter is saying, you need to change your mind about who Jesus Christ is. This has nothing to do with turning from sin. Amazingly, we have so many who have been taught wrong because the English word repent does mean to turn from sin. It was poorly translated from the Greek to English.

It should have never happened 400 years ago in the King James translation, but it did. Now we have to deal with the aftermath. But if you believe that you have to turn from your sin to be saved. That is a human work. And obviously contrary to what all the Bible teaches, the Bible teaches that we come just as we are. That Christ died for sinners. In fact in Romans 5, 8, it actually reads that while we were yet in the state or act of committing sins, Christ died for us.

And so we simply come to Him and trust Him and then He gives this power after we become saved to have victory over sin. What is really interesting in the Old Testament, the word repent occurs 43 times, 37 of the 43 times. It is God who repents, not men. So if you believe that repent means to turn from sin, you’ve got a serious, serious theological problem. You’ve got a holy, sinless, righteous God who’s not capable of committing sin, turning from is sin left and right.

That’s right. 37 out of the 43 times it is God who repents only six times is it man who does the repenting and guess what? That if you do the math 37 divided by 43 is 86% of the time it’s God who does the repenting. It cannot mean turn from sin or you’ve got a holy God a righteous God a sinless God who’s not capable of sinning turning from his sin left and right. Just doesn’t make any sense. People are not doing their homework and the Greek word is methanoid means a change of mind.

So Peter is saying change your mind. They had just crucified Jesus. They thought he was an imposter, a fraud, a counterfeit. He was a charlatan, a deceiver. And they nailed him to the cross and thought they had done God a favor by getting rid of him. Now Jesus comes back from the dead. Peter says, you have to recognize here. You guys made a big mistake. And they said, what do we do? And Peter says, repent. Of course, the Greek word means change your mind.

So they needed to realize that the admitted mistake that Jesus Christ was indeed the Savior. Then it says be baptized. But again, people have a tendency to have their minds lock up when they see the word baptize. They automatically think water. When they see the word baptize, it’s like the brain goes water, water, water, water, water, water. Let me just say this. There are 10 different baptisms taught in the New Testament, and most of them don’t involve any liquid at all.

There’s the baptism of fire. That’s not water and not involving liquid. There’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit. That doesn’t involve any water or any liquid and so on and so on. And the majority of them don’t involve a liquid. And so the word baptize simply means the cleanse or the wash. The Greek word is baptizo and it was brought into the English language and made the English word baptize. It means the cleanse or the wash. And if you read carefully what it says here next to 38, it says be baptized every one of you.

Notice it doesn’t say in the nearest lake or pond or baptismal pool. No, it doesn’t say that. It says be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. This is the baptism it’s talking about. It’s a cleansing of washing of your sin that occurs based upon the authority of the name of Jesus Christ, which is a name the Bible says, is exalted above every name in the universe. Jesus Christ is God.

You have to remember that. He’s God who took on human flesh, and it’s through His name that you become saved. It’s the authority that He left as God, that whosoever would believe on Christ would not perish but have everlasting life. Peter says in Acts 4, 12, neither is there salvation and any other, for there is none other name under heaven. Give it among men whereby we must be saved. Acts 10, 43, Peter says to Jesus or Yishua, give all the prophets with us, that through his name, whosoever believeth in him should receive the remission of their sins.

And we could go on and on and on. This is a cleansing of washing that occurs when you trust in Christ the Savior. It’s not talking about water. So in order to be saved, you have to change your mind about who Christ is and what He accomplished for you on the cross. And be washed or cleansed when you trust Him as your only hope of heaven, the authority that He gave was that all that would believe on Him would receive the gift of eternal life.

Somebody illustrated it as a check drawn on the bank of heaven in the amount of eternal life in and it’s made out to whosoever believe it that could be you it could be me and the bottom it’s signed by Jesus Christ in his name in his authority you can receive that gift of eternal life and be assured of going to heaven whenever you die. Well we’re gonna go ahead and turn to the phone callers we got every line lighted up here this is Bible and I’m Dr.

Hank Lindstrom and the phone number is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one we’re going to go first to michigan and we have john in grand rapids and john uh… welcome to by blind you are on the air thank you for taking my call uh… i believe in the past effort you say you’re a fan of m r dehan yes i am okay uh… i recently came across a real old book of his is called the the june palestine and prophecy I believe it was written in 1950 and probably motivated by Israel becoming a nation in 1948.

I was wondering if you thought the teaching in that book was still good today. I think it is. I haven’t read it in many, many years. I have all of his books in my library and I’ve read them all and I believe from what I can recall that he was right on target but I’d have to go back and re-look at it. But he was certainly a great, great Bible teacher and found in the radio Bible class and I remember as a young believer I was listening to Dr.

Amartahan. Okay, and one other quick question for you. The 1967, six day war, was there any Bible prophecy that that may have fulfilled or? Well, I think in the sense that they would get Jerusalem back, you know, the Jewish people not only would be turned to the land, but Jerusalem would become their capital city. And, you know, in Zechariah 2, I think it’s verse 10 and 11, God says that he would choose Jerusalem again, and when Christ would come back, he would come back to that city.

So the Jews going back would go back to that city, and it says in the last days, in Zechariah 14 verse 2 in particular. It says that God would gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle. And of course it implies and says there that Israel would be in the land and when the nations of the world come against Jerusalem. So we’re in the last days today we see the nations of the world today focused in the Middle East and Israel’s right in the middle of all this turmoil.

So certainly I believe it does fulfill that prophecy. Up until 1967, they only had a portion of Jerusalem. It was a divided city, and when they won the Six-Day War, all of Jerusalem became Israel’s. Okay. Thank you for answering that and thanks for your ministry. Okay. Thank you, John. John, up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We now are going to go to Dave and Plant City, and Dave, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. Hank. How are you today? Good. Always a pleasure to talk to you and share your wisdom.

I’ve got two quick questions today. I’ve never heard you comment on the companion Bible. Could you give us your opinion of that? And I’ve got kind of a little scenario for you. There’s a married couple. One is raptured out, and after that happened, the other spouse decided to read the Bible. But during the tribulation, they decided to take the mark of the beast so they could survive, so they could buy and sell, but they didn’t really give allegiance to the beast.

the beast they just took the mark to so they could survive and then before they died they trusted Christ. Would they go to heaven and I’ll hang up and listenetsk your answers. Thank you. That’s a little bit complicated but actually if they received the mark of the beast they wouldn’t want to end up trusting the Lord of Savior. The Bible tells us that those who received the mark apparently have been so indoctrinated, blinded, made captive by the devil or the antichrist that they don’t wind up ever recovering themselves out of that.

So those who receive the mark don’t get saved at all. So if the person received the mark they would probably never become a believer. But if they did become a believer in the tribulation period then that couple would be able to see each other again in heaven. But it’s scary because once the rapture happens Satan’s delusion will be strong and he will obviously keep most of the world captive. Millions will get saved But for the most part, the world is going to be lost.

When Christ comes back, He will kill and destroy all the unbelievers on the face of the earth. So unbelievers, if the rapture were to happen today, have seven more years to trust the Lord. And if they don’t, then it’s curtains. It’s too late. And that’s a shame. I really haven’t paid much attention to the companion Bible. We’re talking there about notes, just as we talked about notes in the Scofield or Ryrie and other study bibles and I haven’t got a real opinion to give you their day sorry about that but hopefully that answered your question.

We’re now going to go to the phone lines again and we’re going to this time go to Tom in Richmond, Virginia and Tom welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Good morning Hank. Hey I have a comment about R.C. Sproul. I’m in total agreement with you about his uh… eschatology being off as far as being a replacement theologist and a preterist but the other day i was listening to him and uh… he gave about the clearest uh… definition is the new i mean he had it just like the bible talk that’s just a change of mind it’s not a turning from sin he was very clear about that so i just wonder what your comment would be about you know guys who you know their end time theology might not be good but they get something and uh…

we’ve got people out there who have their eschatology right but they don’t even have salvation part right so i’ll just by hang up a much a comment on that well i will obviously be there are levels of uh… importance and uh… obviously salvation is the most important doctrine if they don’t get salvation right then nothing else falls into place and and let me hear that about his presentation on repentance because uh… so many get it wrong and they don’t look up the greek word i’m pleased to hear that about our sea sprawl and all I can say is that that’s a higher importance than that of the eschatology.

Thank you for coming in Tom in Richmond, Virginia. Now we have Lawrence in Hollywood, Florida and Lawrence Welcome to Bibleline, you’re on the air. Yeah, Pastor Hank. Yeah. Good morning. Good morning. I’d like to you to please explain according to the preacher Rapture 21 and 22 and Proverbs 10, 30. Okay, well first of all, none of these passages are going to apply because the Rapture is not in the Old Testament. The church age is not in the Old Testament.

Ephesians chapter 3 says this was hidden and not revealed until after Israel rejected their Messiah. You’ll notice they’re in the early part of Christ’s ministry. He was offering the kingdom, which is the millennium, and then we find that about halfway through the book of Matthew, he’s rejected and then he announces he’s going to build his church and he’s out of here. So it says in verse 21 here of Proverbs, the upright shall dwell in the land and the perfect shall remain in it.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth. And that’s talking about what will happen at the second coming, seven years after the rapture, when the saved will remain and live in to the millennial kingdom. But the wicked, as I just said it earlier, all the unbelievers on the face of the earth are going to be destroyed at the second coming. I’m Dr. Anchlinseter, and we’re at the end of the first half hour. And thank you, Lawrence, for that question.

I hope everybody listening has trusted Christ, and Christ alone, as their only means of salvation. And I hope you’ll stay with us for the second half hour. By the way, Bible and its listeners supported. We’re in the month of August, and we’re a little bit short here during the summer.DW we could sure use your help as we have no other means of being able to pay the bills. And we want to stay on the air in your area. So if you’d like to help us and invest in the Lord, call and give a gift by credit card over the phone or call and ask for an envelope to be sent and we’ll mail it out and you can mail your gift in.

I want to thank you in advance for giving and praying for Bible and God bless all of you who do. We’re going to take a break now, Dr. Inchlinsderm, when we’ll come back and do a second half hour so that don’t miss a minute of it. Stay right there by your radio and I’ll be right back. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment to pledge your support for Bibleline. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771 I’m Dr.

Hank Lindstrom and it’s wonderful to be with you today. We look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday. This week has flown. It really has. Wow, it’s to believe this is Friday. Friday. But we’re glad to be with you. And we hope you’ll tune us in by way of internet over the weekend. If you go to BibleLineMinistries.org, you can catch this program and others in archive as often as you’d like to. And you can play them again and again and again.

You can download them in the MP3 format for your iPod. We have webcasting and or podcasting and all that stuff is available. And I I hope you’ll take advantage by going to our website, BibleLineMinistries.org. Also, if you don’t have a church home, we’d love to have you come by and visit us, but obviously if you live in another city, in another state, across the country, you won’t be able to do that. But we hope that you will maybe visit us by way of the Internet.

In other words, you can go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the camera, and you’ll be connected to the worship service that if you do it eleven o’clock Sunday morning you’ll be able to catch the worship service live as soon as I begin the message the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to view it and of course that’ll be live but if you can’t because you’re in a good church i hope that’s the case uh… then you can go back and catch it at any time at your pleasure you can go right now or you can go tonight or tomorrow or whatever because last week sermons already there and the sermons for the past year are there video and audio for you to watch and listen to and enjoy.

By the way, and is listeners supported? We really can’t survive without our listeners participating with us and helping us financially. So would you consider praying for and giving to by the line? By the line is obviously listeners supported and you could call and give a gift right now by credit card over the phone And that would help us, especially as we’re running short here during the summer, and we want to make sure that we’re on the air in your area.

And the only way we can do that is if you the listeners help us by praying for and giving to Bibleline. I want to thank you to dance, God bless all of you who give and pray for us, because we know that you’re the one to make this program possible. We hope you’ll visit our resource center online and check out what we’ve got. or call and ask for a resource sheet. Also, we hope that we can be a blessing to you.

Just give us a call here at Bibleline and let us know you’re listening and you’re enjoying. We love to hear our listeners’ comments. We’re about ready to rejoin stations that have been on break and do a second half hour of Bibleline. So we hope you’ll continue with us now for the second half hour of Bibleline. Just don’t touch your radio. Leave it right where it’s sitting. And here we go. Help Bibleline continue in your area. You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break. This is Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Piafah, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor and we’re excited about being with you. It’s hard to believe that this week has flown by. And here we are on Friday and the weekend is upon us. If you don’t have a church home we invite you to come by and visit us.

You’re welcome to come on Sunday to our morning or evening worship. Also a week from this Sunday will be the third Sunday. That’s a great Sunday if you’re coming any distance and join us for the lunch, the dinner that will happen right after the service. Come at 1030 and bring your family, your arrival, your appetite, and then join us for the 1030 service and then stay for the lunch dinner. You know, everybody cooks their best home cooked food. It’s delicious.

And you’ll be able to sit down and enjoy some great food, great fellowship. I’d love to be able to sit with you and meet with you. And so I hope you’ll come on that third Sunday. And by the way, this one will be a baptism Sunday and we’ll be baptizing at three o’clock in the afternoon, and a lake nearby by blowing headquarters. If you have not been water baptized, then you’ve been saved. And maybe you don’t have a church home, or maybe you don’t have a church where they put people under the water, immerse them.

I’d be delighted to be the one to baptize you. You could call, get your name on the list, and we hope that you will, and we’ll include you in that baptism on the third Sunday at three o’clock in the afternoon. Call for details, and we’ll get you on the list. By the way, we do have the brochure now. It’s already on the internet and will mail you a hard copy if you’d like, if you’ll call in and give us your name and address.

But if you want to take a look at it, you can go to our website, Bibleline Ministries dot org. Click on Bible and news, which is just above the camera on the homepage and you’ll find that it will say Israel tour brochure. Click on that. You’ll have the full brochure. If you have a printer, you can print it out for your computer and you’ve got it. But if you want us to mail you one, we’ll be happy to do that.

Call and give us your name and address and we’ll mail you a brochure for the trip leaving February 23, 2009. It’ll be trip number 16 for me. We’ll have a great time. It’s quite an amazing event because you’ll be learning the Bible all day long. As you go from site to site, we open the scriptures and talk about the events that took place there. It makes the Bible live. It really does. It will come to life for you. In any case, it’s Friday.

I hope you attend church someplace. But if you can’t get to one, go to the internet and catch our service at 11am Eastern Standard Time on the internet by clicking on the camera on the home page. If you want to come by in person, you’re certainly welcome to join us for our morning or evening worship services. We now have a caller from Toronto, Canada, and we’re going to talk to Claude and Claude. Welcome to Bible Aid. You are on the air.

I did that to the answer. I have two questions about Paul and Paul and you have to ask this question. The Bible says that on his way Paul had some men with him. So I’d like to know what happened to those men. Also, he says the Prophet Ananias was sent to the house where Paul was staying and he prayed for him, he received his life. And immediately your rose and was baptized. Did you say what type of baptism Paul has?

Is it a spring plane or immersion? I’ll hang up and listen to you. Thanks. Alright. Alright, well thank you, Claude. On the first one, I don’t know what group of men you’re talking about because Paul had some companions on his journeys and they weren’t always the same men they kind of changed around. We have Paul and Barnabas for a while then we have Paul and Silas and it was Paul and Silas that were at Philippi that said when they were in jail at night to the Philippian jailer when he asked what must we do to be saved.

Paul and Silas He said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. So not too sure that I understand that question to tell you what men we’re talking about that were with Paul, but also on the other question. Yeah, and an is actually led Paul to Christ. He didn’t get saved on the Damascus road. We often are missed taught that Paul got saved on the road to Damascus and he was going there to throw Christians in the Paul.

But also on the other question, yeah, Ananias actually led Paul to Christ. He didn’t get saved on the Damascus Road. We often are mistaught that Paul got saved on the road to Damascus. And he was going there to throw Christians into… to jail and bind them and bring them back to Jerusalem for trial and so on. And he got interrupted by the Lord, but it wasn’t until three days later that Ananias led him to Christ. And then it says he went and was baptized.

And I believe that was by immersion. It was a water baptism, again, signifying how he had been washed of his sins by the blood of Christ. The water was merely symbolic. And obviously Paul taught water baptism should be one of two ordinances left with the church. In 1 Corinthians you read in chapter 1 about water baptism, chapter 11 you read about the Lord’s Supper. Those are the two only ordinances given to the church that are to be observed by believers as acts of obedience but never as a means of salvation.

So hopefully that helps Claude and we are glad that you have called in and we’re now going to talk to Angel in St. Petersburg. Angel, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey, Hank, how you doing? Good. I have three questions and I’m sure the response will be very quick. One of them is kind of a goofy question, but I was in the Bible study the other day and teaching the class on evangelism and the question came up about why why an example was you know five my wife asked me if i look fattiness am i going to say yeah honey looks out of like no honey look great now that is that it’s got observing that as uh…

an actual why or c t c standing up being a righteous judge and then uh… a discerner of the heart and he’s talking about our white lies okay I mean, I mean, just, you know, my wife asked me, do I look at me, so am I going to say, yeah honey, but like honey, no, you look great. I mean, it’s got to look at that as a sin. Well I think you’re probably going to get along better with your wife if you say that.

Yeah, well, is that equal? Sure. But, you know, I think you need to be able to, you know, obviously phrase things so they’re complimentary without sometimes being offensive with what the truth can sometimes do. But the Lord understands I think, but we’re not the lie for sure. So I think telling her she looks great doesn’t necessarily reflect anything about her weight, but that was nice of you to confess that you felt that you were obviously a little bit overweight.

My other two questions is another question that came up. I got a buddy of mine that’s in there. He’s not decided on Calvinism, Martin Minnie, and however you put it, but his father-in-law is a hyper-Calvin. He feeds them with some things here, but how they believe as far as the eight-of-countability, they don’t hold for that. They think that if that baby was actually never of the chosen, and he would still go to if he died at six months over year to year and remember in scripture i want to say some of the Romans were talking about the age of accountability uh…

you have anything to support that i don’t have anything in romans but you know that my verse that i go to is in the last uh… chapter of the book of jona and there we have uh… uh… god sparing uh… ninava And he tells Jonah that there were, Nineveh was a city of apparently over a million people, and he said there were 120,000 children. They didn’t know the left hand from the right hand. So apparently I take it that knowing your left hand from the right hand is an indicator as to when you’ve reached the age of accountability, which I think is probably pretty young, but it allows for each child to develop differently.

So it’s not a particular year and month that it occurs, but each child as they mentally develop differently. When they can tell their left hand for their right hand then I believe they become accountable. And children under that age, we believe will go to heaven. Even as David lost a seven day old baby, in 2 Samuel 1223 he says the baby would not return to him, but he said he would go to be with that baby and we know David went to heaven.

So he was gonna see that child again in heaven. Okay, and that’s okay. So that’s law. and then the last verse of the book of Johnum. Okay, can you say that chapter again? I’m sorry. And Jonah chapter four. There are only four chapters and the very last verse of the book of Jonah tells you about the left hand from the right hand. Okay. And now I remember hearing you talk about, you know, as far as there’s not to be women in heaven.

No, I didn’t say there wouldn’t be women in heaven. Well, let me rephrase that. I’m sorry. There’ll be the women here that are saved. I’ll go to heaven. Just not as a woman. I didn’t say that either, but it’s okay. That there’s that there’s no distinction as far as a position that men won’t be above women or women won’t be above men and neither will people that have been slaves be under those that were not slaves and so there’s no distinction whether you’re male or female or a slave or a free man whether you’re a Jew or a Gentile you’re all going to be equal in heaven.

Okay so there’ll still be gender though. Yes. My mom will be there as a woman. yes i believe so okay right make sense though the michael all right you’re welcome to thank you for the call i think i don’t know what all right and uh… we are now going to go to larry in ten four and larry welcome to buy one a good morning i have a question for you inspected current dance when parl is speaking about his phone in the flesh right after he said that he said he had an adversary of the devil to buffer him why wouldn’t it fall into the flesh be the adversary of the devil i’ll hang up and wait for an answer thank you okay i i believe it is that that was the uh…

uh… uh… obviously uh… god giving him an infirmity which i believe was probably an eye problem that paul had that seems to be indicated very strongly in the book of relations that he had problem with the science side and uh… most of his books therefore dictated and When he wrote the book of the relations, he was so passionate. He personally wrote that when he talks about how large the letters were as he wrote that because of the eye problem that he had.

But that infirmity I think was the thing that God would use here. Let me just read the verse. It says, here, you have given God gave to me a thought in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me. So apparently God allowed Satan to afflict his body to keep him humble. So we find that Satan was involved in the process. But obviously Paul prayed three times to be healed. And God said no three times. And then Paul said, well, thank God I’m sick.

It’s not always God’s well for us to be well. And hopefully that helps and thank you for the call. And we’re now going to go to Mac in Miami. Mac, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Yes, how you doing? Good. I was online and I was looking at your school field Bible, but when I was there, a study Bible, and one of them just said, regular. That’s all because of who publishes it. Somebody who’s not Oxford, who has the copyrights, can publish the older editions because they’re not under copyright anymore, but they cannot call it the school field study Bible.

they have to say study Bible. Okay, so which the one that I need, I’m trying to get the one that you recommend on the air and which one is that? All of the ones we have are the ones that I recommend. We don’t have anything in our resource center that we don’t recommend. Okay, so the one that’s for a hundred dollars, that’s the one and everything in it. You got it. That’s a really nice one. That’s the leather and it’s thumb index.

It’s beautiful, genuine leather. That’ll last for a lifetime. Okay, having that? I’m, someone gave me the Thompson chain reference study Bible. You ever heard about that one? I sure do. I have it in my library, but I don’t like it. Because the chain is flawed. You know, it takes you all over the place. The chain in the Scofield Bible keeps you right on track doctrinally, but boy, and I can notice the people that use the Thompson chain oftentimes are confused about a lot of doctrines because they use that Thompson chain and it just not very consistent.

Oh, okay. Okay. And, um, okay. So the 19, what, the one is the 1719 or 1917? Well, the whole point is that the original Scofield came in on 1909. Then in 1917, they made a few changes where they added dates in the center column and a few different things, very slight things. And those are the good ones. And that’s what we stock. everything you see in our resource center is one of those good bibles that we recommend okay one more question you know you have another book that uh…

that defined every word of the bible That would be the concordance. The strongest concordance has every word in the entire Bible. Every thee, every thou, every end, every butter, every shilt. And you can look it up and it will partially quote every verse in the Bible or that particular word that you’re looking for occurs. And by a simple number code system will refer you if it’s a New Testament word to the Greek dictionary by number or to the Hebrew dictionary, if it’s an Old Testament word by number.

and you can look up the original Hebrew or Greek word, what it meant, how it’s translated, and it’s marvelous, and it allows you to take advantage of the scholarship of 200 Hebrew Greek scholars that put that work together. Okay, and that’s just the regular concordance that you have or what? It’s not a regular one, it’s the strongest concordance. There’s several concordances not on the market, there’s the crudance concordance. Some people teas and say that’s for crude Christians. There’s the Young’s Concordance, some teas and say that’s for young Christians, and then there’s the Strong’s Concordance, which we teas and say is for strong Christians, but we have the Strong’s.

That’s the one I recommend. Okay, all right. And you have all that in your stock, right? Yes we do. Okay, all right. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome. Thank you for the call. We are now going to go to the phone lines again. We have Cheryl and she’s in Lexington, Indiana and Cheryl, welcome to Bible It. Yes, Dr. Mandy. Are you hearing us in Lexington on the radio? Yes, Lexington, Indiana. I’m sorry, Indiana. Yeah, okay. First of all, I would like to say welcome to Southern Indiana and it’s wonderful to hear you.

You’re such a Bible scholar. My question is your loved ones that have passed on. Is it possible that they can visit you in your dreams? So if I’ll just hang up and let you answer. Okay, and the answer is no. That would be nice and comforting to think that they could, but they cannot come back here. And they obviously that would bring sorrow to heaven if they became involved with the things that are happening here in this earth and see the sins and problems that are going on.

But there is one thing that believers in heaven can learn about, and that is when somebody down here becomes saved, it’s announced in heaven. And I think they’re anxiously awaiting, hoping to hear of loved ones and friends and family members that get saved, they know that they’ll get to see them in heaven with them. It’s in Luke 15, verse 10. I misread this verse so many years. I can’t believe I misread it, but most people do. It says that there’s joy in the presence of the angels in heaven when one center changes his mind and trust Christ as Savior.

I always used to read that, that angels were rejoicing and jumping up and down when somebody here on the earth got saved, but it doesn’t say that. It says there’s joy in the presence of the angels. Angels are spectators, but the ones that do the rejoicing are believers and we know in Revelation 3 5 when somebody becomes a believer their name is announced in heaven and It’s made known that that person is coming to heaven one day and the believers rejoice and are excited And so they can learn at least that much But otherwise there’s shielded I think from the things of this world But we’ll get to see them again And I know that they know that we’re coming.

If you’re a believer and your loved one is a believer already in heaven They know you’re coming and they’re excited about it It won’t be long as You know time here on the earth grinds away for the 70 or more years that we get on this earth But time in heaven is moving rather quickly and I know that We’ll shortly be there to be with them and what a great day That’ll be when we get a chance to be together again Well, we’re excited about being on the air up there in Indiana, and we’re glad that you’re hearing us in Lexington, Indiana.

And sorry to say Kentucky, that was a mistake. Anyway, we’re glad to have all of you listening today. And if you want to call in, the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have lots and lots of off air questions. I think it will take a couple real quick here. done in Miami says, my wife is a Catholic. If she believes in Jesus, is she saved even though she worships Mary in all the canonized saints? And other than the weekly mass, she only prays the rosary and has no personal relationship with the father through Jesus?

Well, I think you’ve answered your own question. It appears that your wife is not safe. What happens here in the terminology is important, every Roman Catholic will say they believe in Jesus. Because that’s not the good word to use. The Greek word translated believe is pestuo, P-I-S-T-E-U-O in the Greek pestuo. And the best English word that defines it is trust. And if you ask a Roman Catholic do you believe in Jesus they’ll all say, yeah, of course just like they would believe in George Washington or or Abraham Lincoln.

But if you ask a Roman Catholic, have you trusted Christ as your only means of going to heaven? They’ll generally say no because the Catholic Church teaches that you need the Church to get you to heaven. And so they trust in the Roman Catholic Church for their salvation and not Jesus. So that’s the good question to ask and that’s where you need to focus. The Bible really is saying in every place where you see the word believe, trust. And the word believe in English can mean mental assent to historical facts.

So if you assent to the historical facts about Christ, that doesn’t mean that you’re saved. I remember as a little boy, I learned about Christ that I had no problem with the fact that Christ was born in Bethlehem, born of a virgin. I had no problem with the fact that he went to the cross, that he died on the cross, that he died to pay for sin on the cross, that he was buried, that he rose again from the dead.

But I had never heard and understood that I had to trust that Jesus Christ did that for me and that’s how I would be saved. I like to say it this way. Christ died, that’s history, but Christ died for me, that’s salvation. In other words, you can acknowledge the history about Christ and that he lived and died and so on. But unless you personally trust him as your savior, as the one who died to pay for your sins, you’ll not be safe.

We have a caller from the Grand Bahamas and Brian, welcome to Bibleline from the Bahamas. Yeah. Are you in the Bahamas right now? I’m in the Bahamas right now. And you’re hearing us on the station out of Miami? Out of Miami, yeah. wonderful. Well, glad to have you on board with us Brian. What can we do for you? I want to make a comment concerning what Dr. Hank was speaking about this morning on Repentance. Go ahead. He was saying on Repentance and why the Christian world is so confused on or why they believe that we have to be forgiven of our sins.

But it’s more than that because the scripture said that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not impugneth our sins against us. He already done with the sin issue. All these impugneth on us is, but what have we done with his son? He wants us to receive his son come to him for life, not on the issue of sins because he already taken care of our sin issue on Calvary’s cross. And when we come to him for his life, then he gives us his life and the life of Christ is the only way that we deals with our acts of sin.

He gives his spirit within us, which will give us the power to be able to be obedient to his word and to eliminate the acts of sin. Well I am 100% agreement with you, Brian, that’s exactly right. We come to the Savior who is already paid for all of our sin debt past, present, and future at the cross. And when we trust him as the one who did that, God then gives us his righteousness. And we have Christ then and because we have Christ, we have life.

It says in 1 John 5, 12, he that has the son has life and he that has not the son of God has not life. And so I have no problem with that at all. I think that’s exactly right on. One more thing, Dr. Ang. I want you to explain the difference between law and grace because I feel the Christian world is you know they are bound because they are mingling law with grace and any any we are supposed to be living in grace but they still bring it on law mingled with grace so they none apply the cross the work of growth they don’t you know show they they are not living by faith you know and that’s the main walk of Christianity where just fate hope and love so could you please to be in the different fields.

Absolutely. Under the law, you were required to do certain things, and you were told, also, not do this or not do this or do that or the other. under grace. We serve from the heart and so the believer is free to choose to live for the Lord or not live for the Lord and it’s a choice and it’s not because we’re damned if we don’t we’re saved if we trust Christ forever period. And yes, we ought to live from the heart to serve him out of gratitude and thankfulness for all that he’s done.

Brian, thank you so much. I’m out of time. I’d love to continue to talk with you. We’re glad that we’re reaching to the Bahamas on the station out of Miami. I’m Dr. Ang Klister. I hope you’ve enjoyed the broadcast today. I hope everybody listening is trusted Christ as their Savior. He’s the only way to be saved. You can’t be saved by your works.
