I’m great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We’re coming to you from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Truth. We’re in the Tampa Bay area. We welcome you to come by and take a look at our resource center any day of the week up until about 4.30 in the afternoon.

You’re welcome to look at the programs we have. Anyway, thanks for tuning in again today. this is Bibleline. We look forward to hearing from you. We’re excited about the fact that we now stream our morning worship service sermon and that’s available in archive free of charge. Just go take a look. And also on our website on the home page, click on the camera at 11 o’clock and a little bit after 11, you’ll see clouds going by, you’ll hear the old rugged cross and when we actually begin the message, the audio and the video will come up on your screen and you can watch it from anywhere on the planet Earth.

Isn’t that exciting? Worldwide. And we have a family apparently that watches regularly every week from Sweden. And we have them from all over the United States that are watching. We sure hope that you’ll take advantage of that and other things that are on our website including our online bookstore and all the other things that are available. We’re going to take over the Bible and then we’re going to take our questions. We have a number of all fair questions again.

We’re going to try to take a look at what the Bible has to say and we’ll then go to your questions. Did you know that there is no such thing as Ash Wednesday in your Bible? That’s right. Did you know that there is no such thing as Lent in your Bible? You know if I take my Bible and shake it upside down, Lent might fall out, L-I-N-T, but there There is no L-E-N-T, no Lent in anybody’s Bible. It’s just not there.

And so it’s amazing how many things are practiced in Christianity that are really not biblical. Lent is pagan. It goes all the way back to Genesis chapter 10, believe it or not, and has to do with Baal worship and has to do with Easter. Easter by the way is the name of the mother of Baal and obviously we don’t certainly want to worship her. But apparently for those that practice lent they say it’s Ash Wednesday is a day of penance.

Did you know what penance means? Penance means a payment for sin and the only way you can pay for sin according the Bible is to go to hell. So if you want to pay for sins if you want to do The penance you have to go to hell. The Bible says in Romans 6, 23, the wages of sin singular is death. It doesn’t say that it can be paid for by baptism or church membership or by abstaining from things or by prayers or by tears or by fasting.

The only way sin can be paid for is by death. The wages of sin is death which includes not only physical death but it includes the second death where you’re cast into the eternal lake of fire and separated God from God forever and ever and ever. I don’t want that to happen. But it’s absolutely non-scriptural all the way down the line to try to say that somebody has to do penance. It is contrary to scripture because if you define it correctly according to the Bible, the penance would be hell.

So if you want to do penance, you can go to hell if you want. But nobody has to go to hell because Jesus paid the full payment for our sins at the cross. Anyway, Lent was really associated with Baal. Supposedly Baal was gored by a boar in a hunting accident. His life hung in the balance in one story. other story says he died. And for 40 days, people fasted and prayed to all the heathen gods. And at the end of the 40 days, Baal comes back from the dead.

It’s the counterfeit of the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ, and is certainly not to be observed, because it is something that makes God angry. You know, when you read the book of Judges in the Old Testament, the Jewish people after they came into the Promised Land forsook the God of Israel and began to worship Baal. It says in verse 13 of Judges chapter 2, and they forsook the Lord and they served Baal and Astroth. Now Astroth is his mother, and if you We just drop off the three last letters, it’s AASHTAR, the English form is E-Star, and of course we say Easter.

And that is the mother of Bail. When people tell me they’re going to celebrate Easter, I say, why would you want to do that? She’s a fertility goddess, she’s a sex goddess, and that’s why you have the bunny rabbits and the Easter eggs. They have to do with sex and fertility and rapid reproduction. Has nothing to do with Christ. That’s right. It has nothing to do with Christ. What I recommend is everybody get rid of the E word and start using the R word.

We’re coming up on the day that I call Resurrection Sunday. When people tell me they’re celebrating Easter, I say, why do you want to celebrate her? That’s the mother of Baal. And it’s forbidden in the Bible. We’re certainly not to do that. And so I use the R word. It’s a very easy substitute. You say, well, what about the candy you might give to the children? We call it resurrection candy. What about the special dresses that women might wear on that day?

What we call resurrection dresses. And we just make this a little easy switch. And it’s powerful. It’s quite a witness for us as Christians to be able to say that we are celebrating not a sex goddess, not a goddess of fertility, but we’re celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ again from the dead. Would you help join me in getting rid of the E word? I try not to ever say it if I could do it, and it’s sometimes hard because everybody so identifies with that pagan name, the mother of ale.

But let me just read it to you again. Judges 2, 13 says, they forsook the Lord, and they serve Baal and his mother Easter, or Astoroth. And the short form is that star of the English form is Easter. And look at verse 14 of Judges chapter 2, if you have your Bible open, it says, and the The anger of the Lord was hot, H-O-T, against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of the spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

God got angry. Do you think God has mellowed out since then that he doesn’t really care anymore? I don’t think so. I don’t think God changes. In fact, I know the Bible says he doesn’t change. God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and he doesn’t change his mind. God is just as upset today when people are into bail worship, and many times they don’t even realize that they’re doing it. But obviously Lent is that 40-day period. And then at the end of the 40 days Easter celebrates the resurrection of her son, Bail.

That’s right. So at the end of the 40 days when people celebrate Easter, they’re really celebrating the resurrection of Bail from the dead. And you know how they did that? And you can see it in the Old Testament. They would get up early on the morning after the 40 days of Lent. And they would watch for the sun to rise in the east. You see, Baal was the SU-N God, not the sun, S-O-N of God, but the SU-N, the sun God.

And so they watched for the sun to rise. That is the origin, by the way, of the… sunrise services. It really was to get up early before the sun rose and to watch for the sun to come up and that was the way they celebrated with Easter the resurrection of her son Bail. Bail comes back from the dead. You know I was wondering about that. Why my mom as a little boy would get me up and get me dressed along with the rest of the family.

My brother and my two sisters and we went off to church in the dark. We stood outside. He says, Come on inside looking toward the East. We watched for the sun to rise and then everybody got excited. You know, that’s not the way it happened. Did you know that Christ did not rise on Sunday morning? That’s right. Jesus Christ rose twelve hours earlier when they came in the morning, the ladies. They came with spices and ointments to finish the burial, and they discovered in empty tomb.

Nobody saw the resurrection that morning. that morning when they came to the tomb. Later Christ appears and shows himself alive, but you see, Christ was placed in the grave at sundown. And he told us in Matthew 1240 that he would be three days and three nights in the grave. That’s 72 hours. So if you put him in the grave at sundown, he has to come out at sundown. Christ rose Saturday at sundown. I don’t have a sunrise service. We have a sundown service.

We believe Christ rose 72 hours after He’s placed in the grave. Now, if you leave Christ in the grave till Sunday morning, guess what? You violate Scripture big time because you leave Him in the grave three days and four nights, three days and four nights. Think about it. Christ said in Matthew 1240, I’ll be in the grave three days and three nights, not three days and four nights. But if you leave you in the grave from sundown for all the way till Sunday morning.

That’s an additional night period and that would make it three days and four nights. Christ said he’d be in the grave three days and three nights. And if you count Jewish time, they count their day from sundown to sundown. That means Saturday at sundown, Sunday night begins. So the beginning of the first day of the week is really Saturday at sundown according to Jewish timing. And And so Christ rose right at the beginning of the first day of the week, and in the morning, twelve hours later, the women discovered the tomb was empty.

There is no such thing as Lent. If you want to get my CD on Lent, you can call and order it. We also have a DVD on Lent and its origin and how it’s purely pagan. There is no Lent in your Bible. I’m just reading the newspaper today and it talks here about people. They’re going to give up chocolate and they’re going to give up some of their favorite foods and so on and so on and so on. This is basically according to the Roman Catholic Dictionary and according to what the newspaper is saying, this is penance.

This is doing works that will help you earn your way to heaven. That is so wrong. The Bible says in Ephesians 2-8 that salvation is not of yourself, it is not as the outcome of anything that you can do, it is the gift of God, and in verse 9 of Ephesians 2 it says it is not of works, lest any man should boast or brag. I’ll never forget the first time I saw that verse, I was 18, the night I got saved, and I said to myself, somebody’s wrong, somebody’s wrong, somebody’s wrong.

I said to myself, either my church is right, and the Bible is wrong, or the Bible is right, and my church is wrong. I think you know which way I went. I had to choose the Bible. I found out that there were many, many things that I was taught that just were not true. There is no Ash Wednesday. There is no Lent in anybody’s Bible. There is no good Friday. Christ was not crucified on Friday. It’s impossible. He was crucified on Wednesday of the crucifixion week, and so many things that were taught are just not correct at all.

So in the crucifixion week I call Wednesday good Wednesday and I call Friday just plain Friday. Christ was crucified and then placed in the grave for 72 hours it’s impossible to get 72 hours between Friday and Sunday. Just can’t happen. And then for those that tried to say, well it was part of Friday, part of Saturday, part of Sunday, that isn’t even right because Christ rose right as the first day began, Saturday at sundown. He wasn’t in the grave any part of Sunday, so it only been part of Friday and part of Saturday.

You don’t even get three out of that. That’s impossible. Christ again had to rise at sundown if He’s placed in the grave at sundown and is to be in the grave 72 hours. That’s what He said, Matthew 1240, looking up for yourself, three days and three nights. If you leave Him in the grave till Sunday morning, then that’s three days and four nights. adding an additional night period from sundown until sun up and it’ll be absolutely contradictory to the Bible.

I’m Dr. Anglinstrom, this is Bibleline and we’re glad to be able to be with you today. You can order my CD or my DVD on Lent and you might find that very helpful at this time. In fact, last year we had a lady call and said I want to order that and send it to my pastor. would you? Here’s his address. Would you send it directly to him? I don’t know if she got kicked out of the church or not, but there are many that teach Lent at this time of year.

You ought to say, chapter and verse, please, there is no chapter and verse. They try to allude that this was comparable somehow to the 40 days that Christ fasted into wellness as he began his ministry. That’s not Lent. Lent is the weeping and fasting and praying for Baal to recover from deadly wounds or to be raised from the dead. And then Easter celebrates his resurrection and I don’t celebrate any of that. I celebrate Jesus, God who came and took on flesh, who died on the cross of Calvary for me, shed his blood, paid my sin dead and full was buried and rose again from the dead.

I believe he came back again from the dead and I celebrate Resurrection Sunday every year, the Resurrection of Christ again from the dead. I’m Dr. Ankerms from we’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Jimmy in Nashville, Tennessee and we appreciate hearing from you and welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. Hey, Brother. Uh, Dr. Lister. Turn your radio down. It’s up. I can hear you radio in the background. Okay. Yes, sir. yes sir yes i was i thought you are not for a question okay you’re on the airway this is he this article from their place what is the question i wonder if i’m uh…

he explained about a armor bear well i’m a bear is somebody who would go into battle to carry the armor for the soldier and that’s uh… all of this that’s okay But we had a lot of creature having they have Look what you today No, it certainly isn’t and of course we can make applications to all kinds of things from Life real life and from the Old Testament But there’s nothing in the New Testament about armor bearers it tells every one of us that we’re all soldiers and in the Lord’s army and in Ephesians 6 that we all need to put on the armor of God.

So we don’t need somebody else. We need really to put on the armor of Christ and go forth into battle bringing the gospel to those that are lost. I hope that helps. Alright, thank you for your that call that was from Jimmy in Nashville, Tennessee. We have Arthur and Arthur, I don’t know what city is in but Welcome to Bibleline. Arthur is a dial tone, so we lost Arthur and we’ll try to get those calls back. You could call us at 1-800-576-3771.

1-800-576-3771. Well we have anonymous in Tampa and this says please help. I married a man I didn’t love and still do not. I don’t think I can stay in a loveless marriage. Will God forgive me if I divorce? Well, of course God forgives. But did this really constitute a marriage? I don’t know. You might have to go to a counselor and it appears, maybe, depending on the length of this, whether you really in it into what is a marriage.

You know, a marriage is a, if you go back to Genesis 2, you have the basis for it and that was to be companions, to love one another and to forsake father and mother and so on. But in any case, divorce is wrong, God hates divorce, but you’ve got some real problems there if you married somebody you don’t love. love. You’re in that situation, but definitely got hates divorce. I think you need to go to somebody who is skilled in these areas.

I wouldn’t be able to give you some advice. Thank you for calling in. Certainly Malachite tells us God hates divorce. God never intended for divorce. And that’s why when going into marriage, you certainly need to make sure that this is the one that you want to spend your life with. And that’s why a real quick marriage after you just meet somebody is sometimes dangerous because you really don’t know who they are sometimes for a while. We have Kyle and Kyle is in Sarasota, Florida and Kyle, welcome to Bibleline You’re On the Year.

Hey, Doc, you’re amazing, you had all the stuff you’re telling about land. But I thought I had all that down. He was crucified on Wednesday as they were celebrating Passover, right? Passover was Thursday of the Crucifixion Week and Christ was crucified on the preparation of the Passover. You see that John 1914, John 1931, that Christ was crucified on the day prior to. And so when he died at three o’clock on the afternoon of Wednesday, they put him in the grave before six because Passover began at 6 p.m.

on Wednesday and that was really Thursday night, the beginning of the Thursday Passover, which was a Sabbath. And then he was in the grave for 72 hours, that would take him right to Saturday night at sundown, which is really the beginning of the first day of the week. And Christ rose and then in the morning they came and discovered the tomb empty. Sunday morning. That’s correct. But he rose Saturday night at 6 p.m. Alright, so it’s tough to worry we seem to be getting tired a lot of nonsense sounds like…

Well, we are. It’s really not anybody, usually nobody talks about this. I’m the only one and I get people sometimes upset because they don’t want to hear the truth. They want to continue in their tradition and they don’t like to hear that you can’t use the word Easter. But Easter is the name of a sex goddess, the mother of a male. We ought to be using the word resurrection. It’s powerful. I remember a girl at a checkout line a few years ago and she said to me, happy Easter.

I thought that was very nice of her. I replied, happy resurrection. You know, I saw her, it was almost like I pushed her. I didn’t touch her at all, but the word resurrection is powerful and I saw her body react. And I think as Christians, if we use that word resurrection, it’s a powerful witness as to what we really celebrate. We don’t celebrate a sex goddess, but we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead after being in the grave seventy two hours that’s great because i thought it was got a lot of Friday and that would mean he’d be putting a graven and satan and and somehow i thought three days within there no not at all in fact uh…

i’d never get to get that out of the kid is that how do you get three days and three nights and then they just say take it on faith and not in all of the kind of nonsense and it it’s just wrong it’s just not correct at all christ out on wednesday and was uh… risen on the senate it’s on that not so many morning and you put it up to him when they know that’s right it’s on that that’s on that side of the internet site you can pull down a lot of papers are written on this articles and also i have a CD on it and i have a DVD on it that you can take your time and go through the verses and yeah yesterday you were so uh…

deep uh… i want to try to download the the transcripts of yesterday’s sermon and my computer wouldn’t do it but it was so i mean all that length uh… and even on the idea that the bill that i like that radio talk shows and laurang on their all catholics and it’s talking about what are you giving up either intelligent people in their buying into the stuff absolutely they are just following the the tradition and of course the say that they’re going to do penance by giving up things is totally wrong because the only way you can pay for sentence death or be cast into hell.

Well, they don’t go to the Bible. They just follow tradition. And if you go to the Bible, all this stuff is exposed. And today we have very few people that are really doing their homework in the scriptures. And you can find Lent traces all the way back to Genesis chapter 10 with Nimrod and his wife, Simmaramis, and their supposed Virgin Born son, Tomus, who is the equivalent of Baal, and how that they prayed and wept and fasted for 40 days for his recovery and the mother, who is also known as Easter, celebrated that on 40 days after Lent.

Yeah, I’ve heard all about that. Same as Christmas. You said some of our Jesus probably believe that the devil would put his corner on that market there. You’re absolutely right. I believe that’s what Satan has done. He’s taken the glory away from Christ and diverted it to himself as that’s a day when Satan is really worshiped. That’s great. Thanks, Doc. You’re very welcome and God bless. Thank you for calling in. Our phones are all lighted up here. We’re going to go back to Jimmy.

Somehow we got him dropped. got him dropped by accident. Jimmy back in Nashville, Tennessee. Welcome back to the program. How you doing Dr. Hank? Good. I just want to start off with saying that I really do enjoy your show and have a while now. Now I want to let you know that my question is what is your opinion on Christian man belonging to logic? Well I think it’s wrong. If you read the scriptures that says about those that are the sound, the masons are religion in themselves.

And they have that G which doesn’t necessarily stand for the God that we believe in, but can be any God, including Allah or any other God of any other religion. So you really have to be careful what you are involved with. We’ve got to go to break and we’ll come right back and do the second half hour by one. Go change that thought. We’ll be right back. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment to pledge your support for Bibleline.

Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Hengo and Stroom and it’s great to be with you today. And we’ve had around 10,000 watching our TV show on internet and you can catch past programs that are sitting there in archive. Also, the class, Jesus is coming and you can be there in the class by getting the CD series. You’ll be able to get all 10 hours of teaching and that’s for a gift of $50 plus shipping. This has been a wonderful series and I know you’ll really enjoy it.

We’ve got many others and you might want to get a resource sheet ask our operators to send you one, we will, and you can also look on the internet and see them there. Would you like to help Bible and we would appreciate your prayers for us? Obviously we believe in prayer and that God does answer prayer and would you consider also giving a gift to Bible and as Bible and is totally supported by our listeners and you can do that by phone by calling our 800 number and giving a gift by credit card over the phone or if you’d like call and get our address or have our operator send you a novel with our address on it and then you can mail in a gift to Bibleline.

Your gifts are necessary for this program to continue and we certainly hope that you’ll consider giving a regular gift to Bibleline. I believe you’ll be making an investment in eternity that you’ll not regret. We’re so glad to be on the air in so many places in the United States, but it all costs money. In order to do that, we certainly require your help by your gifts to Bible Land. Again, if you could help Bible Land and you haven’t given a gift this month, would you consider giving one this month to help Bible Land cause?

Our operators can explain how you might do that. Don’t forget we have a Resource Center with all kinds of Bibles and Concordances and commentaries and my CDs and DVDs of teachings on about 40 different subjects and books of the Bible. It will be great. I helped you. We are going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and come back and do the second half hour. So stay tuned or go to the internet to catch the second half hour of Bible and don’t change your dial.

Here we go. We’re ready to do the second half. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right. We’re back from there breaking this is Bibleline. It’s wonderful to be with you. We appreciate all of you who pray for and give the Bibleline. If you haven’t given, You could send a gift today or you could call and give a gift by credit card that would help us get out of this short month.

And if you would like to help us send us a gift today or call in and give one by credit card today over the telephone. Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate all of our listeners and thank God for you. And you really are the ones who are deserving of applause because you’re the ones who keep us on the air. It is your gifts that allow Bibleline to be on the air without you. We’d be off the air. So God bless all of you who pray for and give to Bibleline.

We sure do appreciate every one of you. We’re going to be talking about the Bible again some more. We’re coming to you from Tampa, Florida, from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor and our signal goes right here from here on internet lines to rather digital phone lines or the I.S.D. in lines and that’s how it gets on to our internet site. So this is kind of the modern technology kind of fascinating. We’re in the last days.

I think Jesus is coming soon and And these are days of course that are exciting for the believer. As we watch the news unfold that was written in the Bible thousands of years ago, our Sunday messages are available on the internet. You can go right there to my website, go to the home page, click on the camera, and you’ll see our Sunday messages there in our cabin. Watch them as often as you want. And you can actually see the message on Sunday morning around 11 o’clock.

And when I actually begin the message, the audio and the video comes up and tell them you’ll see clouds and you’ll hear the old rugged cross and then it’ll say be patient or something like that that the service will begin shortly. So be patient and right after 11 somewhere in there a few minutes after you’ll actually catch the sermon right here from Calvary Community. We’ve got a lot of callers sitting out there and we’re going to go right to Jimmy again somehow.

We never get a chance to finish up with Jimmy. Jimmy’s in Nashville, Tennessee and we’re excited about being on the air in Nashville. And they play us a bonus time from 1 to 2 in the morning in Nashville each and every day. So many through Friday we’re on in the middle of the night and a lot of people listen to Bible and in Nashville in the middle of the night. Did you know we were on in the middle of the night there, Jimmy?

One or the two in the morning? Yeah, that’s when I started listening to you at night time. I thought this kind of, you know, late in the head of radio, state and mouth figure, it was probably tainted in the mornings. And that’s when I first started listening to you. Well, good. Did we finish our question or we were you still have another question?

Well, you was asked and laid, but then we got cut off. I don’t remember now. We’ve done a lot of things. No, my question was, what is your opinion about Christian men belonging to logic? Yeah, I said it would be wrong. There’s some wonderful books out there that expose how Now, lodges are really a religious system. I was saying that the G that the masons use is not necessarily the God of the Bible, but can be any God, including Allah.

And you’ll notice the shriners on their caps. They have that crescent moon. That’s the moon God of Islam. And so you wonder, well, these people mixed up or what? they are sometimes claiming to be Christian when actually in reality on their cap they have the Crescent Moon which is the symbol of Allah in Islam and certainly we don’t worship Allah in Christianity. So hopefully that helps Jimmy keep listening up there we’ve got to go to our next caller we’re going to go to Frank down in Sarasota and Frank welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Oh, hi Dr. Hank, I just wanted to call and thank you for your comments on Ash Wednesday, and Lent, and the whole Easter. I think you’re comments are very helpful when you start those individuals to practice. What does that mean? You have these ashes on your head. It’s just matter. Most people I’ve found can’t even tell you. They’ll say, well we just do, can’t give you any kind of explanation. And I found that the real Jesus. Well, we just do it because that’s what our church practices and they can’t give you any kind of explanation and I found that those are great opportunities to share the gospel with, you know, who the real Jesus is and I just want to thank you.

Your program was an encouragement to share the gospel yesterday. And I left some Bible tracks with this lady who had ashes and. And And somehow we lost that call. I don’t know what happened there. We’re back. Here we go. Alright, sorry we got you cut off there for a second point. But thank you guys. That’s great. I appreciate you saying those things and it is an opportunity, wonderful opportunity to be able to share Christ and tell the truth about what’s going on.

Yeah, it’s really I like I like the common state there that they actually Help me to Share the gospel and you hear your radio ministries of freakin got a plus chef. Okay. Thank you Frank Frank in Sarasota Florida and we now have Tom in the land Florida on these coast of Florida Tom. Welcome to Bibleline Thank you, dr. Hank. I I just wanted to do a little follow up if it’s okay for Jimmy up there in Tennessee regarding the masons.

Okay. I just wanted to let him know that that was something I was looking into myself because several friends and business associates belong to that organization. And, you know, wonderful people, good friends and people I’ve had relationships with now for years, you know. know, they are not supposed to and you know they didn’t, they’re not supposed to go out and actively try to recruit people but they drop a lot of things on what they do you know and lodge meetings and such to you know kind of piqued my interest a little bit and you know and I did look into it and attended one of their an open house at one of the lodges but uh…

the part that got me was i don’t know if you were had heard this before but the uh… title for a uh… uh… president of a large if you will may elect anyone each each and every year but the title that they uh… go by is a worshipful master and that was when i had a problem with that you know i i i just uh… i just had a real problem with that just decided not to uh… pursue it any further and uh…

or maybe there’s a mason’s out there listening that want to clarify that but uh… i i’d never went any further didn’t you know any questions or anything like that i didn’t ask them why i just know that i wasn’t comfortable with it and uh… you know maybe jimmy’s in the same situation just want to work think about that that’s all and thank you very much thank you god bless you know uh… i just uh… saw john anchorberg uh… uh…

on monday he was over at the national religious broadcasters convention that i was at and he’s got a couple of good books that expose uh… masonry and he’s got some videos in fact when he did those videos on national television uh… he had a former uh… mason who had gotten saved exposing the secret rituals of uh… the masonic lodge and you can get that video uh… and it’s unbelievable and uh… and apparently John was saying that his life was threatened.

They threatened to burn his house down and everything else for exposing these rituals that are supposedly secret. But it’s a secret organization and they swear that they would kill anyone and disembowel them if they reveal those secrets. And so that doesn’t sound really Christian to me. Anyway, you might want to get those videos and those resources and you can call us and we can tell you how to do that at our number 1-800-576-3771. We have now Tom in Richmond, Virginia and Tom, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth.

I just had a comment about the masons that the gentleman just called and you were talking about the G and the symbol and how they’re basically their own religion. I just have some information that a lot of people understand or think that that G actually stands for Gnostic or Gnosis, which is that the hidden knowledge of that suppose it’s not the gospel and actually they’re like a Luciferian type religion in their origin. So I don’t know if you ever heard that before.

I have heard that and that sounds too strong for some because there are some wonderful people that are sucked into that and become duped by it. I think Masonry is really anti-Christ. Yeah, and the initiative on the first level has never get told these deeper secrets that they’re actually getting involved in. One of their actual procedures is the hoodwinking procedure where they put the hood over you and they perform these occultic things while you can’t see it. Of course, that’s where that term, Woodwing, comes from, and they’re definitely deceptive.

Well, thank you again for sharing that additional information. Sure thing, Hank. You have a good day, all right? All right, Tom in Richmond, Virginia, and thank you for letting us know that. We have Willy in Tampa, Florida, and Willy, welcome to the Bible, and you’re on the air. Hello. Hi, Willie a fan son. This is a Bibleline and you’re Samson. No, I would like to Hello, I’m right here. Go ahead. You ask about Samson. I would like For you.

I could please present sure you can talk to my operators and they’ll do that Let me give you back to the operators and they’ll fix you right up. Okay. Okay. That was a willy wanted to get the CD on We have a CD for $5 on Lent and it will allow you to review it very slowly with your Bible. And also we have a DVD where you can watch a video presentation on Lent that is available here you can call in and and we have a We have Wilfredo in Deltona Florida says can one still be a pastor if you’ve been married three times I believe you can be used of the Lord in a mighty way, but the position of pastor is I think restricted to one wife if you read Timothy and if you read Titus where it has the qualifications for an elder

It says that they are to be the husband of one wife. And I don’t believe that as some people try to say one at a time, I think it means one wife for a lifetime. So I would recommend, Alfredo, that you would look at Titus chapter one, and look at first Timothy chapter three, and you’ll have the qualifications there, and obviously it doesn’t. And the reason why is because you’re a role model for children and for families, and if you are divorced many times, then everybody in your congregation will say, well, it’s okay because the pastor’s been divorced three times, so, but I think you can certainly be used in many different aspects of ministry, I think you can certainly be used in a mighty way in leading people to Christ and teaching the word, but I think that you’re disqualified from being the pastor.

Alright we are now going to go to Ron in Seminole, Florida and Ron, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Thank you, Leon. Thank you for your program. I have a question regarding the authority of Protestant churches, like all kinds of programs on TV. One of them watches at the Catholic program and they always insist, well, where do the Protestants have any authority to, for instance, give the community and so on? Where do they, I mean, we know that in churches, many people start churches by themselves and they go way off into all kinds of extremism.

I agree with you. So what would you say about the authority? Well the authority comes from God’s word. If you read the Epistles of Paul, there was no… A huge church organization that were local churches where they were told to seek out men that could qualify to be leaders, to lead the church and that they were to keep the ordinances. And so they were given authority right there. In 1 Corinthians 11, he writes to the Corinthian believers to keep the ordinances which we believe were only water baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and they were instructed to do that.

There was no churches at that time much further out. This was early on about 80, 54, and here they were in Corinth, Greece, and they were to keep the ordinances. So I think the authority comes from God’s word to every believer that we can assemble with other believers in that when local groups of believers come together, that is a part of the body of Christ and they are to be structured and to observe the ordinances and study the Word of God and proclaim Christ.

And so that’s the authority. That some organization or denomination has the authority is not scriptural at all. So that’s right. Yeah. Well, like, the princess to make a great big thing of this business of the mass, you know, the consecrating the bread and the Protestant people don’t have any authority to consecrate the lodge software. Well, you know, the Roman Catholic Church is saying that they have this apostolic authority that. that Peter was the first pope. Okay.

Yes. That is certainly not true. And let’s see that. Okay. When you go to Acts 15 and the first counsel of the early church, James presided not Peter, Now, this is just a little bit of a little bit of a puzzle. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. One. Okay. And then we’re going to go ahead and get to this.

and Peter never ever made any claims like that. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. And of course, the Bible says in Ephesians 220 that the church is built upon the foundation Okay. Okay. All right. Good. Okay. of the Apostles and the Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. Okay. Okay. Yes. Yeah. So the church was built upon Christ, not upon Peter, but those were the early leaders that spread the gospel and the church grew from that foundation. But no one of them ever claimed authority for themselves, the authorities in the Word of God.

And we’re told in God’s Word that we’re to go out and share the gospel with every creature. And that when groups of believers come together, that they then become really Oligical Church in order to select elders and deacons and to keep the ordinances and so on. And of course Rome wants to say that they are exclusively the Church and that they have some power passed on down through some apostolic secession. That’s not true. You know, the Roman Catholic Church, as we know it, didn’t even begin to the sixth, and That’s just history.

And so you don’t have any succession of popes as they would try to have you believe that they have some power passed on from one man to another, right on down to the present. And if you read their sordid history, sometimes there was many as five men all claiming to be popes at the same time. And some of them were really bad guys, committing incest, rape, and all kinds of crimes and struggling for power. It was a political thing.

And some of the folks were really not too nice of guys if you read history. And you can do your homework. And it’s no wonder why some people have said, whoa, I don’t want to be a part of this because of the very sort of history of this so-called apostolic succession of popes. The Haley’s Bible Handbook, I think they’ve removed it now in the most recent editions. I think somebody got paid off. But if you go back and get a Haley’s Bible Handbook from 20 years ago or more, and it’s been around for an awful long time, it has a history of the popes in the back that it It will blow your mind about the so-called apostolic succession and how that there is no apostolic succession.

Thanks for your call, Ron. I hope that helps a little bit. We are living in a time when people don’t study at all anymore. It seems like we’re like a fast food type generation where we just get information from all different sources and we don’t really pay attention whether it’s truth or not. And that’s of course what’s happened here with Len. The Bible is certainly pagan, but if you have the Tampa Tribune today, on the Metro section, there’s a full page all about Lent.

And here’s some people saying that they’re going to give up chocolate, they’re going to give up watching television, they’re going to give up going to movies as penance. Now penance by definition is a payment for sin. And according to the Bible, there’s only one pay for sin, and that’s death. The wages of sin is death, the Bible says. And ultimately that would mean hell. If you paid for your sin, you’d have to pay for it by what is called the second death.

That’s to be cast into the eternal lake of fire forever and ever and ever. That’s Revelation 20, verse 14, where it says they were cast into the everlasting lake of fire. is the second death. The first death being the separation of your soul from your body, the second death being the separation of your soul from God in hell forever and ever and ever. So it is obviously just runs counter to the Bible all the way through, plus the pagan origin taking us to Baal.

When people prayed and fasted up until Constantine, it was always about Baal. But what happened when Constantine came along, this religious system that was the worship of a mother and her son, Astrath or Easter and Baal, became Mary and Jesus. Mary got the same titles that Easter had. Easter in Jeremiah 44 is called the Queen of Heaven, and that title has been given to Mary today. There is nothing in the Bible that Mary was ever made the Queen of Heaven, but Easter was.

So Easter became Mary, and the the baby became Jesus and in those situations Jesus never grows up. He’s always the baby in the mother’s arms and the twelve-year-old standing beside his mother which is an allusion to the story of Christ. But Mary is the one who speaks and not Jesus. Jesus is a baby or a pre-team and says nothing. the Bible says we are not to listen to Mary, we are to listen to Christ. The voice that came out of heaven said this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.

Here ye him, not here Mary and Mary is not the mediator, Mary is not the Savior, Christ is the Savior and in 1 Timothy 2 5 it says there is one God and one mediator between God and men the the man Christ Jesus. So the mediator is not Mary. We don’t pray to God through Mary. We pray to God through Christ who is the only, it says one mediator, not two or three or four. There’s only one that is Christ.

We have Bill in Tampa, Florida and Bill, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Yes, good morning, Dr. Hank. I actually have three questions of asking and then I’ll hang up the lunch answer. Okay. First question is, must my understanding that angels were created beings to worship God, and they were not given free will? Well, they were given free will. Oh, they were. Yeah, they had their choice. And their choice was that when Satan or Lucifer led the rebellion, a third of them chose to reject God and follow Satan.

So they were the fallen angels and they’re judged and eventually they’ll be in hell with Satan but right now they’re the fallen angels and the demons spoken of it in the New Testament. For some reason I thought they didn’t have free. Another question is I’ve been talking to a Jehovah’s Witness and trying to lead to Christ’s which seems impossible but he challenged me to give him, he’s denying the deity of Christ the price is he told challenge me to give him the best gritting you know jesus is god because i know jesus i don’t think he’s ever said i am god but he’s in several instances referred you know to be in god well he does say he’s got in john eight twenty four he said if you believe not that i am that title i am is the name that god used at the burning bush when he appeared to moses

and jesus said if you don’t believe that i am you shall die in your sins and uh… so he’s absolutely claiming to be god there and the witnesses don’t have a good answer for that that is chun eight eight He also brought up to me over the scripture where he said before Abraham. He checked. The third thing is the anti-Christ. Is this a reincarnation of a leader in the past? Some people have believed that. Some believed for a long time that Nero would come back as the Antichrist.

He was certainly Antichrist like, but no, I don’t believe so at all. I think he’s a fresh, fresh person that Satan will empower. And I think he may be around right now for close. And I think we are close to the return of Christ. We’ve got a run, Bill. The hour is up and we’ll be back tomorrow. And certainly we hope everybody listening has trusted Christ. If you haven’t, just say, Lord, I am a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I trust Christ right now as the one who died and paid my sin debt and full.

And the moment you trust Him is your only hope of heaven, God save you. Keep looking up, Jesus is coming, we’ll be back tomorrow, look forward to it. You see that in the news. This is a scary time in a way. If you didn’t know Christ, you’d say, where is this world going? It seems to be going down, down, down, down. And it is. And the Bible says evil men will grow worse and worse as we see the time approaching when Christ will come back. Let’s do all we can as Christians to make sure that the gospel gets out there in a clear fashion and people get saved.

Hopefully if you want to evangelize you’ll take advantage of it. We got some great tracks that really work that really need people to Christ that are doctrinally sound. You might want to call and order and get a resource list. We’ll send it to you or look online at our online bookstore and you’ll see all these things. Tomorrow, Lord Willie, and we’ll see you then. Until then, God bless.
