We have a series called Jesus is Coming, and by the way, you can order that on CD or DVD and watch us on the DVDs or listen to us on the CDs and you’ll be as though you’re in the classroom. What an exciting class that is on the fact that Jesus is coming and of course we believe very, very soon. Would you plan to come by sometime and see us? We hope you will. We always love to meet our visitors, our listeners rather and we would love to have you as a visitor here at Calvary Community Church in Tampa.

If you want a resource list, you can call our 800 number and we’ll be glad to send one out. We have a lot of resources in our resource center. You can also go online to our website and there look at our online bookstore and you’ll find a listing of all of our books and CDs and DVDs and commentaries and so on and so on. We have something brand new, at least we used to have it before but it’s brand new back in our bookstore or online bookstore and on the resource center we have here at Bible headquarters.

That is a Spanish Scofield Bible. Really nice leather cover and on the left side it’s English with the King James and Scofield notes. On the right side it’s a Spanish translation of the Bible with the Scofield notes in Spanish. So we have them on both sides and we of course think is really cool. It’s a little bit fatter but it’s beautiful and it’s a leather cover and And that retails, I forget for how much, but we have it for 70 in our resource center.

And it’s like getting two Bibles. You get an English Scofield Bible and a Spanish Scofield Bible all in one Bible. And the neat thing is every time you turn the page on the left page, it’ll be English on the right page, it’ll be Spanish. And it really is kind of cool. So for those of you that speak Spanish, we also have the evangelism handbook that we brag about that, say, is the best evangelistic tool. tool in the world. We have it in English, but we also have that in Spanish, and we also have Spanish tracks.

The MI going to Heaven quiz, that track is available in Spanish, and that is really a very popular one when you’re having an opportunity to witness to people that are Spanish. You can use that Spanish track. We certainly hope that you’ll take advantage of our resource center and all the things that we have. We’re going to be going to the phone lines here. We have a lot of offer questions and we’ll be taking your calls. But first we’ll take a look at the Bible.

Let me give you that 800 number. It’s 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call. We have an incredible Bible in front of us. This book is like no other. It is a book that claims to be the Word of God, and I believe demonstrates to be the Word of God. No doubt about it. As it tells the future before it happens, God says in Isaiah 48, 4, I know that your obstinate brass-headed iron necked hard to be convinced. And so obviously, because he says we’re difficult to deal with, he would tell us things before they would come to pass.

And before we ever discovered them or knew them, Things in this book that you could not have known at the time and God says I’m doing that so that you could know that this book indeed is The Word of God isn’t that exciting? You know, I was always curious Is this book really the Word of God and it sure demonstrates itself to be exactly that it is indeed The Word of God no doubt about it and I love the scientific facts We have a sheet that I have written 40 of my favorite scientific facts and you can call in and we’ll be glad to mail that out to you.

We also have of course all of those things on my website. Just go there and you’ll be able to look at them and download them wherever you might be. So take a look. That’s BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. and just click on Dr. Lindstrom’s articles and then you can search for the one you’re looking for and then you can print it out on your computer printer and you’ll have it right there. So take advantage. Plus we’re streaming today’s radio show right now on the internet and you can go there and catch today’s show and also past shows and watch those again and again on the internet as well.

Plus we are webcasting on Sunday so you can take advantage of that. We have an offer Todd in Tampa, Florida. He says, who will go up in the Rapture? Please give a scripture reference. Well, the key is given in one great verse, and this answers all the questions. It says in 1 Thessalonians 4 in verse 14, which is the classic passage that talks about the Rapture. It says, for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, that’s the Gospel.

So if you believe the Gospel message, fact that Christ died and shed his blood as the full payment for your sin, God saves you. Isn’t that great? So you not only are saved, but if you’re living when the event of the Rapture takes place, you will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So who goes up in the Rapture? Every believer. That’s the qualification. So unless you have come to the point in your life when you are are able to make that decision as far as your age is concerned and trust Jesus Christ as your Savior.

All believers will be evacuated. Everybody else will be left behind. Hopefully that helps Todd and thank you for calling in from Tampa, Florida. We have Edgar in Petersburg, Virginia and Edgar. Welcome to Bibleline Year on the Year. Hello. How you doing this morning? doing good edger it’s a blessing to talk to you i’m out to uh… i’ve been reading actually and i’ve been uh… re uh… here in a lot about uh… people being confirmed in the bible uh… mentions about confirmation what does that mean simply that you have become established in what you believe you are confirmed or you basically affirm what the Bible teaches and that you are solid in your understanding of that doctrine.

Okay. I attended a church Sunday and I’ve been attending for a while but I’ve never interrogated the He created the pastor, and this extent, and it’s a Southern Baptist Church. They are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church. Southern Baptist Convention and I asked the pastor about what his rapture view is and he said he really didn’t know and I tried to explain to him that I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and I said that I believe that the Bible gives ample proof that there will be a pre-tribulation of rapture.

And you know he just so I can… We got the talking about idols. I said that you think is a sin for men to have a likeness of Jesus. He said that no, he don’t think it’s a sin that then I read to him. He said that as long as the person is not adoring or worshiping that idol, and then I asked him about what else did I ask him about? And if he said it was a knight, then he’s obviously committed.

You know, he’s actually admitted that it’s wrong because you’re not the worship idols or have idols. You know, the, we don’t have any pictures of Christ in our church because we believe that’s wrong. Plus we don’t really know what he looked like. I know one thing though, I know he didn’t have long hair. The Bible is very clear that the style, of course, of hair in the time of Christ was Short hair the Romans were in charge of the world and the Roman Caesar cut was the popular cut That was just off the years off the neck short hair comb forward short bangs in the front and But it says the first Corinthians 11 14 does not even nature itself teach you that it’s a shame for men to have long hair Christ I don’t think would violate his word and by the way if he was the only guy running around with long hair as some

suggest why did they have to betray or pay Judas to betray Christ? They could have just told the soldiers go out and find the guy with the long hair and arrest him and you’ve got him. But they had to pay Judas because Christ looked just like everybody else. I believe he had the short hairstyle of that time and did not have the long hair that you see in these paintings which by the way came about just because of the artist’s own conception of what they thought.

But nothing in the way of biblical evidence, whatever hint or suggest that Christ had long here. Dr. Hengai explained to him all of that, and he’s… and then I bought up the topic about then I got to explain to him about the way Metcanoi and all of that stuff, and he just dismissed that also, that he believes in all this stuff. I would think I’d be out the door. Obviously he’s wrong on so many things, and I think especially repentance, that’s a big one, because if you say that you have to turn from sin to be saved, then that’s works.

And the Bible says that God saves us just like we are. I love that hymn just as I am I come without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me. And then of course the other thing in the Old Testament, 86% of the time the word repent is used. It’s God who repents. So you’ve got a serious theological problem. But if you believe repent means to turn from sin because in the Old Testament it’s God who is turning from sin.

that your meaning which of course is not the meaning uh… eighty six percent of the time it’s uh… that’s just no homework on his side is not a barely even listening to be corrected if he were wrong he’s not listening at all and and when i was talking about the raptor he was it astounded me man because he said that uh… those raptor you said that it really doesn’t matter to him and he never has really searched thoroughly to try to find it out i just couldn’t believe that he told me he doesn’t care what the Bible speaks about, what rapture we will be called up in.

And I said, it doesn’t trouble you. If somebody’s going to come to you and ask you about this, that you can render them an answer and evidently in mind whether I should attend this church or not. But I want to thank you for your counsel, Dr. Hay. All right. You take care of your, and I think I’d find a church where the person is open to truth and would proclaim the Bible from God’s Word. We have David in St.

Pete who leaves the offer of question. Why did the Pharisees make fun of Jesus in Luke 16 verses 13 through 14? And of course that was a way of demeaning Christ as they rejected him. They did not accept his message. And obviously the Jewish nation, the leadership that is, rejected Christ and took him before Pilate and demanded that he be crucified. So that’s why they did it. It was a way of belittling, demeaning the person of Christ, and unfortunately they made a big bad mistake there because Jesus is the Savior.

He is God in flesh. He is the only one that can take you to heaven. And like he said later to the Pharisees in Matthew 23, he says, you generation of vipers, you serpents, how can you escape the damnation of hell? And that’s a great question because if you reject the only one who can deliver you from hell, Christ being the only way, the only Savior, then how are you going to escape from going to hell if you reject Christ?

Boy, that’s a great question. And obviously it’s one to ask the cults. The Jehovah’s Witnesses need to be asked, how can you escape hell, which they don’t even believe in? But will one day, if you reject the one who came to deliver us from hell? So the witnesses start off in a minus because they don’t even believe in hell. And then secondly, they reject Christ, who is the Savior who delivers us from hell. So they have really got it backwards.

They need to come back around and repent. That means change your mind and realize that Jesus is God, that there is a hell that he came to deliver us from. We have here Robert in New York leaving an off-air question and he says, does the Lord allow disease to come upon us to get our attention? I think in some cases he does. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 11, 30, that the Corinthians because of sin, it says there, many of you, he says, are weak, many of you are sick, and many of you are dead.

So the Lord can in his chastisement bring about illness to get your attention. But there’s about 12 different reasons for illness, so we certainly shouldn’t get into the judging business where somebody gets sick and we say to ourselves, I wonder what sins they’re committing. We know in John’s Gospel chapter 1, there was a a man that was born blind and from birth he was blind and the disciples began to say, who sinned at Lord? Did this man or did his parents?

And Jesus said neither. It has nothing to do with that. He was born blind so that Jesus could manifest his powers and display the glory of God that Jesus is God, that he had the power to give sight to a blind man. By the way, the modern day healers can’t do that. They don’t heal the blind. I have several blind in my church and they’ve already been that route before they ever came to me. They’ve been to the healing meetings and they walk out sightless as they walked in there and they aren’t able to give sight to the blind today and wouldn’t it be great if they could.

But Jesus gave sight to people who were born blind and that doesn’t happen today. I think this modern day charade of healing is wrong and I do believe God heals but I don’t believe in divine healers. I believe that gift ceased and if they really had it today they ought to be able to raise the dead which they don’t and they ought to be able to replace a missing flesh which Christ did and they don’t do that. I never see anybody going on stage with one leg and coming off with two.

That isn’t happening today. types of healings today that are being claimed can’t be proven, but the kinds that Christ did were unmistakably of God. Blind from birth, everybody knew the guy, and he, all of a sudden, could see they knew something very significant had taken place. All right, we have Mary in Utica, New York. She says she was saved at 14, and she has had desires to commit suicide and what would happen is suicide the unforgivable sin. The answer is the unforgivable sin, the unpardonable sin is unbelief, Mary.

And if a person commits suicide, they would not go to hell if they are a believer. It says in John 637, Christ would in no wise cast out anyone that comes to him. Plus in John 639, he says he would not lose anyone who would come to him. Now, we’re not to take our own life. Certainly, that is not something that God wants you to do, but it has nothing to do with your salvation. Salvation is a gift. It’s received at the moment of belief and is possessed forever thereafter.

And suicide will not change your destiny. Now, I believe perhaps you will be ashamed. I believe you’ll probably experience regret. I think you’ll probably experience loss of reward for doing that. But certainly you’ll not lose your salvation. So I would not give anybody a green light to commit suicide, but it certainly is not the unpardonable sin. This whole idea that suicide is the unpardonable sin came about because of Judas committing suicide and the Bible says Judas went to hell.

But he didn’t go to hell because he committed suicide. He didn’t go to hell because he betrayed Christ. Judas went to hell because he was never a believer. In John’s Gospel, chapter 6 and verse 64, it tells us that Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him. And that chapter identifies Judas as an unbeliever and being the one that would betray Christ. And he went to hell because he never trusted Christ as his Savior.

Mary, I’m praying for you. Certainly, you must be experiencing depression. And maybe you might also see your doctor. I’m going to talk about maybe there’s some chemical imbalance that is keeping you depressed, but certainly suicide is not an option for the believer, but if someone commits suicide, it is not the unpardonable sin. Alright, we have Alex in Sarasota, Florida, and he asks an off-air question, and it’s about Acts chapter 2, verse 17, and so I’m going to turn there real quickly and see what that verse is.

calls were coming in and people are people are leaving oftentimes questions off of her and we would like to of course get them covered. It says in verse 17 of Acts 2, it shall come to pass in the last days, sayeth God, I’ll pour out my spirit upon all flesh. That happens at the second coming. That didn’t even happen at Pentecost. What Peter is saying is that the promise from Joel Chapter 2 in the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit being poured out upon all flesh, it was that same Holy Spirit that was poured out upon believers at Pentecost.

Now at the Second Coming, when Jesus Christ comes back, He will destroy all unbelievers on the face of the whole earth. And so when Christ comes back, there will only be believers left at the end of the tribulation period. those believers will enter into the thousand year rule of Christ and Christ will part of his Spirit upon all flesh. That’s everybody because those that are living as the kingdom begins are saved only. No unsaved person will enter into the thousand year reign of Christ.

And so the answer is this is after the tribulation period is over as the millennium begins. In the context of Joel chapter 2, you see that. It tells us earlier in that chapter in verse 20 that Russia will be destroyed at the Battle of Armageddon. And only a sixth part of Russia will survive in the terrible nuclear war that will take place, which is Armageddon. And then it says in verse 28, and after that, after that, after what? Russia has been destroyed, Christ will come back and he’ll pour out his spirit upon all flesh.

All flesh doesn’t have the Holy Spirit right now. There are neighbors in my neighborhood that don’t have the Holy Spirit, they’re not saved. They’re neighbors to the church here where we pastor and they aren’t saved and everywhere you go you’re going to run into people that don’t have the Holy Spirit. But when the Millennium begins everybody on the earth will have the Holy Spirit. We have Kyle in Sarasota. Kyle, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the year. Hey, Doc, make things so easy to understand.

I just, I’m listening to you. I’m wondering, do you ever listen to preachers or any preachers and who do you listen to if you do? Well, I like to read, but I don’t listen to too many. But I do like David, Jeremiah, Charles Stanley, and the number of others that are good. I think the best source is the Bible, and it’s hard to find really good preachers out there that are true to the Word of God. So you have to really, whenever you’re listening, just be very careful that you don’t buy everything they say.

That includes me. You need to check everything out against the Scripture. That’s the only way to be safe. So I don’t ask anybody to believe me. I ask you to believe the Scriptures. And that’s why I quote the Bible. So often on this program we never give an answer generally without giving some kind of scripture to support it because that’s the way it ought to be. It ought to be chapter and verse please for everything that you believe. It ought to be able to be supportable by the Bible.

And if you don’t question, then you get yourself into trouble. For example, yesterday we were talking about Lent. There is no L-E-N-T in anybody’s Bible. And nobody seems to be asking questions. Yesterday in the Tampa Bay area the Tampa Tribune and also the St. Pete Times Had a big page full page article about people Beginning lent with Ash Wednesday. There’s no Ash Wednesday in the Bible. There’s no Lent in the Bible Now if you held your Bible up so that a shook it L.

I. M. T. Might fall out Lent But certainly no Lent because there is no Lent in anybody’s Bible isn’t that amazing? It really is and we’re living in a time when more and more people are departing away from sound doctrine. Lent is totally pagan and precedes Christ coming by well thousands of years because it really Lent begins all the way back in Genesis chapter 10 and is the part of the pagan worship system of Baal worship. I hope that that helps with that question.

Alright, we have a number of all fair questions. We’re going to try to take some of those now. Also, we invite you to call in if you have a question or comment as we hope that you will be free to call us and leave that question or get up on the air with us. We’d love to have you do that because we want you to be able to benefit here with the Bible and program and be a part of it and enjoy the questions and the answers that we can perhaps help you with as we get to the end.

close here to the Lord’s return. More and more, there will be a departure from the Bible, and that’s really unfortunate. We’re coming up on our break time, and we hope that you will tune in for the second half hour. And if your station isn’t caring, you can always go to the internet and catch our full hour on the internet, and I hope you will do that. We are coming up on our break and I hope you will stay tuned until we get a chance to come back and do the second half hour.

So don’t change your radio dial. Stay tuned right where you are and we will come back with the second half of the Bible line. So don’t change your dial. Here we go. We are going to now go to our station break. Go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and I enjoy being with you each and every day. We hope that you enjoy Bibleline as well.

And you can also catch us at any time of day like in the evening if you’d like by going ahead and going to our internet site. And the internet site carries us 24-7, which is really great that you can go to the internet any time you want and enjoy the Bibleline program at your leisure. A lot of times people come home from work in the evening and they kind of get settled in after dinner and then they enjoy the Bible and program.

And why not take advantage of the internet and be able to do that for yourself? Well, I hope that you will because it’s a great way to do that. I have a sister in Ohio and she tunes in the program in the evening at her leisure and many people are finding out that that’s a real plus for them to be able to do that, be able to enjoy the program at their leisure when they want to get to it, they can go ahead and tune it in.

And by the way, we’ve had 147 countries log in to the Bibleline program from all over the world. 147 countries. That’s right. And you too can take advantage of the Bibleline program by tuning it in on the website BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. We also have our Sunday Morning Worship Service there and you can join us there on Sunday mornings or watch the worship services at your pleasure. That’s right. If you want to go back and see what I preached on last Sunday, you can actually watch the whole message delivered on our website BibleLineMinistries.

If you’d like to get our Sunday sermons, you can subscribe to get them sent to you every month. At the end of the month we’ll send up the whole month for the servants and you can enjoy the month’s worth of sermons in your car or in your home or wherever you want to be. This is a great opportunity for you to be able to go back and enjoy the Bibleline sending messages delivered from the Calvary Community Church pulpit and you can do that at your pleasure whenever you like.

We’re about ready to join the stations that have been on break and do the second half of Bibleline and we hope that you’ll stay tuned for that. If you haven’t given the Bibleline this month, if you would consider sending a gift or giving one by credit card over the phone, that would be wonderful. But hold on to your radio. Don’t change that dial. We’re now going to do the second half of Bibleline. and continue in your area, you can.

Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break, and this is the second half of Bible Iman. Welcome. We’re coming to you from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor and we look forward to being with you each and every day, Monday through Friday as we come to you from Tampa. And thank you for tuning in. We appreciate every one of our listeners.

We always look forward to meeting our listeners and we’d love to have you come by and see us sometime if you’re ever in Tampa for whatever reason come by and see us here at Bibleline. We’re right next to the airport. Easy to find. If you live in the area, of course, it would be easier for you, but if you’re from out of town, whenever you come into Florida and you’re in the Tampa Bay area, come by and say hi.

It’s a great chance for us to get to meet you. Again, we are list are supported. We don’t think all of those who pray for and give the Bible and because you’re the lifeline and without you, we could not be on the air. We have, by the way, a Schofield Bible now in Spanish and English. I love this. I can’t read Spanish, but I love it anyway. It’s two Bibles in one, really. Every time you turn a page, the left page will be English.

The King James with Go Field Notes. On the right side, it’ll be Spanish with Go Field Notes in Spanish. Kind of neat. So you can compare page for page the Spanish with the English. And that’s a leather Bible for a gift of $70 to Bibleline. And I think you’re really going to enjoy that. It’s a beautiful thing. I love to just hold it and I love to show it off. You open it up anywhere you are. On the left side it’ll be English.

On the right side it’ll be Spanish. And if you want just a Spanish scofeau with no English at all, we also have that available. But you might want to check that out. We have the Strong’s Concordance, which is an incredible tool An incredible tool. It’s like a big giant phone book, Gail Pages, and it has every the, every thou, every end, every butt, every shell, and the whole Bible is listed there. And it partially quotes every verse where a word will occur.

And so if you know one word and a favorite verse you’re trying to find, you can find it quickly as you look up that particular word and it’ll go and partially quote every verse where that word is found and you’ll easily quickly find the passage you’re looking for. So give it a try. And you have the combined scholarship there of 200 Hebrew and Greek scholars ship at your fingertip and it’s for I think a gift of around $30 and we can ship that up to you as well as we have the Scofield Bible that I recommend the old one better than the new.

And again, we know that whenever you get anything through our resource center, not only will it benefit you, but it will benefit Bibleline a little bit too. But of course, if you want to give a direct gift to Bibleline, that helps most obviously. And we would appreciate any gift you might give to Bibleline this month. You can send it by mail or you can give it by credit card over the phone. call or enter number and operators will be glad to tell you how you can do that over the telephone.

We have David right now in Chattanooga, Tennessee and David welcome to Welcome to Bibleline. Thank you sir. My question is, do the council say that they are speaking in tongues as based out of Acts chapter 2? Well their tongues doesn’t match up. If you read Acts chapter 2, the Greek word is there is dialectos and it’s a specific dialect of a specific language. language. And the people that are doing tongues today are doing a gibberish, which is not the biblical tongue at all.

And the result of using that specific dialect was that 3,000 people got saved. How many people are being saved in the gibberish that’s done today? Nobody understands it. But if you read Acts 2, it says there that there were 16 countries listed in many more represented there from all around the world. People were there for the Feast of Pentecost from many different lands. And they said, how is it that we are hearing in the very language, the dialect of the language in which we were born and raised?

They were amazed that they were hearing as though they were back home in the Gentile country that they had come from and hearing the very dialect that they spoke back at home. That was the miracle of Pentecost and nobody is able to do that today. So what you have today is a total counterfeit. And by the way it’s done by all the world religions. I don’t want to tell everybody that it’s not from God. Why does God give it to the Mormons?

He doesn’t. They do the same gibberish that everybody else does. And so do the Buddhist and the people in Islam and around the world, the Eskimos and tribes in South and Central America and Africa and Australia, they all do it. Yes or well see that was going to be my point in Acts 2 verses 9-11 it identifies the languages that the people heard in and that’s why they asked the question about that. I just found like the tongue’s booming now.

I know it that’s why we’re really being deceived in this modern movement is counterfeit is not of gone and that’s not the big problem. I find that most all the people that do that have their doctrine on salvation wrong and that’s major because if you don’t have that right you’re not going to have that right. go to hell. I always ask the question, can you lose your salvation? And usually they don’t even blink. They say you bet or absolutely or without question.

And if they say that, they’re really saying salvation is by works because they’re saying that what they do between right now and when they die will determine whether they make heaven or not that makes them the Savior, not Christ. And they’re really trusting in their works which the Bible says that salvation is not a works. It’s God’s gift that he purchased by his death and shed Yes, sir. It all both, man, but either we’re trusting Jesus or we’re trusting ourselves.

It can’t be a mixed curse even one or the other. Amen. I’m glad you’re hearing us up there in Chattanooga. We’re live. we’re live right there right now right yes sir all right i’ve got the radio i had it on my best here or working at the office and uh… or something where i’m at now working at office for the state of kenasli and i have the right you well in that wonderful keep listening and i hope you’re enjoying the program everyday thank you sir by david in china nuga working for the state of tennessee listening to our uh…

radio show here we have david in the land florida and david welcome to buy one year on the air morning dot training good morning how are you good uh… three quick questions please uh… first uh… question is do you have a jay bernie g through the bible audio five you know that uh… the five-year thing he does we don’t have audio but we have the actual hard uh… five-volume uh… series available for a gift of a hundred dollars which is real nice but we don’t have the audio is that is that a transcribed of what was on the audio you know i i don’t know how they actually put those books together but it was actually you know as you listen to vermin gear is a good use to put out a little book but on each book as he went through the bible and these all been put into

five hardback volumes which are beautifully bound and we have that whole series in print I don’t even know if it’s available in an audio, apparently it is if you’re saying that. So I’m guessing that they might make it available, but this is the actual print version. And it sounds like his broadcast, so it may have been just transcribed and put into those booklets for his show. And now I’ve got all those little booklets too because I used to listen to Jay Vernon McGill a lot of time.

But now those have all been put in nice bound volumes where you have five volumes that cover the whole Bible. Great. Well, second question. You were mentioning about the papers. I think it’s at Tampa and St. Petersburg. Yes, there are papers both had a full page on the metro or the intersections there on lent and they showed both of them showed a woman being put ashes on her forehead for ash Wednesday the beginning of the beginning of the 40 days of Lent which just isn’t in anybody’s Bible period.

Would that be applicable? I mean as far as like the paper covering it and people responding and all this stuff. Would that be applicable to the part where the Lord remarks about having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof? Well, I certainly think that covers it for today because people will have religion and they’ll be religious, but they deny the power, which I believe is the gospel where it says in Romans 1 16, and I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God and the salvation.

So absolutely. Well, thank you. Well, thank you and my last question is in second Corinthians Two second Corinthians chapter two You see it says I guess starting a verse 6 sufficient to such a man is this punishment Which was inflicted of many so that contrary wise she ought rather to forgive him and comfort him Perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with over much sorrow. Okay, that’s probably talking about the fellow that was living in forication with his mother.

He was a stepmother in 1 Corinthians 5 that apparently once the letter had been read and he was publicly exposed that he did experience regret and sorrow. So perhaps he did not have his life taken from him. So I hope that helps, but I think it’s talking about that one there that did become remorseful of his sin later. And the Lord was about ready to take his life and take a moment to have an early, but he would have been saved.

It says that to deliver such a one and a Satan for the destruction of the flesh that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus 1 Corinthians 5 and 5. this is the same fellow right well thank you for answering my questions we appreciate hearing you here on wynd doing excellent thank you david and uh… we’re now going to go to uh… die and in uh… chateau get nancy and welcome to uh… by one good morning first of all express my thanks for all that you’ve done yummy you have really brought out that from the bible that has gotten misleading by some of the preachers in this area and I really appreciate how you straightened out and helped us to have a better understanding.

Well super and I’m glad you’re listening up there in Chattanooga. Well thank you. My question today comes from Hebrews 10 verses 26, 38 and 39. My husband wants me to ask you to explain it in form where it could be understood better. Alright I’ll certainly do that And I also recommend you go to my website and I have an article I’ve written called Hebrews 1026. Pretty clever title, huh? So you can find it. Right. But it’ll go over that in more detail for you.

So I would recommend if you have internet access to go to click on Dr. Lindstrom’s articles and then look for the one titled Hebrews 1026. And it will be an additional help to you. Wonderful. All right. Here we go. We’re going to look at verse 26. It says, if we, the writer of Hebrews, who’s obviously a Christian, includes himself in that we, says if we sin willfully, and most sins are willfully committed by everybody, that when you sin, you generally know that you’ve sinned.

It says, if we sin willfully after we receive the knowledge of the truth, that means after you become saved, it says that there remain a no more sacrifice. And what it’s saying is that the sacrifice that Christ made saves you forever. We don’t need another sacrifice. And that’s clear in the context of this book. It says in verse 14 by one offering, He perfects us forever. It says verse 12, this man speaking of Christ, after he’d offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down.

That was it. The one sacrifice that he made was for all of your sins forever. And as a result, verse 17 says, there’s sins and iniquities, well I remember no more. Now look at verse 18. It says where remission of these is, once God has forgiven you, once you trust Christ, it says there is no more offering for sin. Now I’ve taken that phrase, no more offering for sin in verse 18 and gone down to verse 26 where it says no more sacrifice, it’s equivalent and drawn a line between the two because what it’s saying in verse 26 is even if you sin willfully as a believer, you don’t need another the sacrifice.

You don’t need to go back and become saved again. You don’t become lost and need to be born again again, which is impossible. You’re only born again once. But then verse 27 and on, warn us about how you just can’t live as you please. Even if you sin woefully, you don’t need to be saved again. But God is going to thank you or judge you or discipline you. And it says in verse 20, rather verse 30 at the last phrase, the Lord shall judge HIS people, then verse 31 says it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

God will spank you, and as you go further down it talks about losing reward as a result. It says in verse 35, don’t cast away your confidence, which hath great recompense of what? Reward. So rewards are in view here. And let’s talk about the Christian life. So if you sin and, hopefully, you don’t have to get another sacrifice. You don’t have to go back and get saved again. You’re saved forever. So there remains no more sacrifice necessary for your sins because the one sacrifice of Christ did it all.

But it goes on to say that you need to be careful that you don’t sin willfully because God then will have to discipline you and the result can also be the loss of reward in heaven. Right, okay. Okay, will that clarify then? And I’ve got my footnotes, I can pass it on too. And let me ask you one other question. Sure. First day I was in this church where the pastor felt the need to anytime that family members needed money.

The pastor felt the need to go into the church account and get the money out. And honestly, I mean, it was for stuff that was unrelated to daily living. I mean, she had a child that was addicted to drugs. And so therefore the pastor was paying for the child bills that wasn’t getting paid because of the drug experience. That is how would you justify that being a pastor? I mean is there any way to justify that or is it?

I don’t see how there would be. Exactly right. That’s not our duty. When people give to the church, they’re hopefully giving it to take care of the needs of the church so the ministry can continue and the gospel can be proclaimed and people can get saved but definitely it doesn’t say the other if there’s definitely a person who’s in need of food or clothing then that’s another thing like we have a food pantry and things like that but we generally don’t give out money because that creates bigger problems you’ll have everybody in the world lined up to get you to pay their mortgage and their light bill and and their credit to card accounts and everything else.

Right, right, yeah. Well, I was paying my time on a weekly basis, which I felt was what I was obligated to do, you know. But then when I started finding out where all the money was going, it really started agitating me thinking, you know, I’m paying for someone else’s downbought, I guess you could call it. And I just didn’t agree with that. And when I spoke to the pastor about it, because I was over at the church, Jack Booke, and the secretary and all that, And the pastor kind of got our right about it.

I’m like, you know, I don’t want to be a part of this, the work I know, the money’s going out, and I’m not signing the checks for it, too. And so I just completely disagreeed with everything going on in the church. And I believe that God has moved us on, because, you know, two weeks prior to this happening, I believe God was speaking to us, letting us know to go ahead and leave the church and move on. And I just took it upon myself to stay because I felt obligated to stay.

to say and once I started seeing more and more of it, that’s when I started feeling like, you know, I should have listened to it and there and lived. I mean, I don’t… Well, I agree with you. I would agree with you for sure. And you know, as you read through the New Testament and about New Testament giving, obviously it’s always connected with spiritual things. And I love Philippians 4, 17, where Paul was appealing to the people at Philippi to give and he says, I’m not trying to get your money.

He says, I desire fruit that may abound your account. So obviously, it’s connected to the ministry and fruit being born under Christ. And that fruit will accrue to the one who gives toward that ministry as well. So everybody who is participating in prayer and giving and so on will share equally in all the rewards of that ministry, of that church or whatever ministry it is. and that’s obviously money going in the wrong direction there. Right, yes. Okay, all right, as long as, I mean, was it right and made to quit paying that per week?

I mean, it was. No, I don’t think so. I think you need to go to where you’re gonna make a wise investment for Christ. I think he holds you responsible to give where God is being honored and the Word is going forth and people are getting saved and challenged to live for Christ and uplifted and Christ is glorified through. And that’s where God will be going. Right. Okay, good. Well, I appreciate it. And thank you so much for the wonderful work that you are doing.

Thank you for listening there in Chattanooga. Pass the word along. Thank you. Bye-bye. That was Diane. We now have Bob and Richmond, Virginia, and Bob. Welcome to Bibleline You’re on the Earth. Hi, Dr. Hank. wondering what does that do with people that are saying or i guess they’re saying go to a protest and seminary for three years to then turn into a monster like a dog if there did after three years of the seminary what what happened to someone like that well if they are not saved many times their pastors who never are called of a lord not saved not born again and they’re going to have the worst punishment hell according to the bible in matthew twenty three we have christ talking about the fairies in the sadducees and how that they were not saved and they were I’m not a preacher or anything but

I spent a few years at seminary too and I’m watching my piece of cues. piece of cues. Okay, well you need to because, you know, I think when we talk about sins, some of the was a genius. The most ingenious sins in God’s sight are the spiritual sins where people are misled and misdirected spiritually. And that’s why it says in James, don’t just seek to be a teacher or preacher because you’re going to be held much more accountable than somebody who’s not.

Well, I did teach when I first got out of the cemetery and I never tried to get my own to the Bible to try it today. If I can talk to all of those, let’s read this thing a little more carefully. Well, actually, you’re right on target there, Bob. The Bible definitely talks about false, false teachers, and there are many of them out there. Alright, unfortunately it’s not going now. Alright, bye-bye. And thank you, Bob, in Richmond, Virginia. We now have Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida and Benjamin welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Good morning, Dr.

Hank. Good morning. How are you? Very good. Thank you This is a two-year question one When the person died safe The soul go to heaven with the spirit or the soul I state would be buried here. The focal one is when the person is not safe. All right, Benjamin, and the answer is at death, the soul and the spirit both go to be with the Lord as a believer, and the unbeliever, their soul and spirit, go to Hades eventually, will be cast into hell.

The resurrection is later. At the rapture, for all of those that are believers in this age, will have our soul and spirit reunited with a new body at the event of the rapture. laws to our in Hades, their souls and spirits will receive a brand new body at the end of the millennium at what is called the second resurrection. And clearly in Revelation 20 verse 5 it says there’s a thousand years of separation between those two resurrections. So the saved will be resurrected of this age at the Rapture and of course the Old Testament and Tribulation Saints will get their bodies at the second coming seven years after the Rapture, but the unbelievers will get their bodies to be cast into hell with at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ.

Thank you Benjamin for calling in and Tim and Tamplin Forti calls in off air says why are there so many preachers teaching bad doctrine such as and I can’t read that part. Can you lose your salvation tongues etc. are they saved? Well you can’t lose your salvation. And salvation isn’t kept by you. That’s why you can’t lose it. In John 639 Christ said, this is the Father’s will that all of which have given me I should lose none. No one.

If Christ had said he would lose one, then we would all have to panic and say, maybe, maybe, I would be the one he would lose. But he’s not going to lose anybody. Nobody’s ever been lost that has become saved. John 639, write it down. And what we have though is a lot of people that look like Christians, that talk like Christians, that are not really Christians. And the good question to ask is, can you lose your salvation? That’s the tip-off.

If you believe you can lose it, you’re probably not saved because you’re trusting in what you’re going to do ultimately to get you to heaven and that means salvation by works. We have Dave in Plant City and Dave, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning Dr. Hank. I’ve been looking in Psalms in 2 Samuel around chapter 7 about David. I thought I had read somewhere that he’s going to come back in the millennium and reign with Christ.

I happen to know that verse and then my correct and what I think I remember. Well, yeah, it says in Matthew chapter eight that the believers will enter the millennium and sit down with Abraham and David and and and our other verses as well. So the Old Testament saints come back, receive their glorified bodies at the second coming, and then that says they’ll rule and reign with Christ during the thousand years. But the actual subject. So those who get saved during the tribulation period that are in their mortal bodies that walk right on into the millennium.

not having ever died, but actually David and all those things will be back during that millennial kingdom. All righty, thanks. I’m glad you mentioned Hebrews 1026. Last night I was watching the well-known evangelist, and he clearly… We’ve got to go. Time is over. And thanks again for tuning in to Bible. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming.
