We thank you for joining us here today and we trust that you have your Bible handy.
As we hope that you’ve heard by now, Bibleline has undergone some format changes. As we continue Dr. Hank Lindstrom’s ministry of spreading the gospel across the world, Bible The Bibleline is now featuring a combination of teachings from Dr. Lindstrom, as well as answers to questions about the Bible. This format is one that Dr. Lindstrom had previously wanted to use in other ministry areas, so we feel comfortable that he would have approved of these changes. As we continue to refine Bibleline’s format over the coming weeks and months, we ask for your prayers and your patience.
Please tell your friends and family about Bibleline. If Bibleline isn’t being broadcast in their area, then please ask them to visit our website at BibleLineMinistries.org. As you listen to future Bibleline programs and detail teachings from the Word of God that will be featured, perhaps you could help lead someone to Christ through the lessons being taught. In the current teaching series, we have been covering a variety of topics related to the events leading up to and surrounding the resurrection of Jesus.
So far we’ve learned about the wages of sin, everlasting life, the triumphant entry, and Palm Sunday. This week we will cover topics such as the Passover, the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, and of course the resurrection of Jesus. If you’d like to hear Dr. Lindstrom’s entire series on the resurrection, please call our resource center at 1-800-576-3771. And now if you can, please open your Bible to the book of John, chapter 19, verse 38, and join us for Dr. Lynch from Teaching for today.
Let’s go to John’s Gospel. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, chapter 19 is where we are. Christ was crucified on the preparation of the Passover. And we believe that the Passover, the week of the crucifixion that Christ was crucified, on Thursday. And that would have meant that Christ was crucified on Wednesday and not on Friday. And the good Friday myth develops because people don’t read their Bible very carefully. And here’s what happens. Look at verse 31, the Jews therefore, because it was the preparation of the Passover, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day.
And that’s where they make their mistake. They read Sabbath day and they I think Sabbath is Saturday. Therefore, he was crucified on the day before Saturday, and that means Christ was crucified on Friday, and that’s the wrong answer. No possible way you can get 72 hours between Friday and Sunday. I guess you may have already thought about that. But Jesus said very plainly in Matthew 12.40 that he would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
And we know that Christ was buried at sundown. And we’ll see that here. And he was in the grave 72 hours. So there’s no way he can get 72 hours between Friday sundown and Sunday morning. And of course, that good Friday thing has been around a long time, but it’s just wrong. So we call that Friday just plain Friday. And we call Wednesday of the crucifixion week, Good Wednesday, because that’s the day that Christ actually was crucified. Now notice you’ll see here in the Bible it says in parentheses for that Sabbath day was a high day.
What that means is this was one of the high holy days of Israel. There were seven feast days that God gave and Leviticus 23 describes all seven and the first of which is the Passover. And even though they may not have fallen on a Saturday, they were still called a Sabbath. And so whatever day the Passover would fall, that would be like a Sabbath. they weren’t to work on that day and they weren’t to travel on that day and they weren’t to cook food on that day and so on and so on.
And so the Sabbath, this one, was actually the Passover Sabbath. So you had on Friday. The Feast of Unleavened Sabbath, you had on Thursday the Passover Sabbath, and then Saturday you had the regular Sabbath, the Saturday Sabbath, and therefore that’s why they couldn’t approach the body until Sunday until those three Sabbaths ended. In Matthew 28 it says, when the Sabbaths plural ended, then the women came early in the morning and bring spices to finish the burial that had been so hurried three days earlier.
So we believe Christ was placed in the grave at sundown. We believe He came out of the grave 72 hours later at sundown. Think about it. The days for the Jewish people began at sundown. And so the Sabbath began at sundown even now. If you go by a synagogue on Friday night, they’ll be there having services because the Sabbath has begun. And the Saturday at sundown, the Sabbath ends. and actually Saturday night at sundown begins Sunday night because they count their night first.
And so Saturday night, our Saturday night is really their Sunday night. And then Sunday morning is the daylight period that falls in the morning. So we believe Christ since He was placed in the grave at sundown, 72 hours later rose Saturday at sundown. And in the morning when the women came, they didn’t see a resurrection, they actually discovered the empty tomb. So there was a discovery. They found the stone rolled away. They saw the tomb was empty. The angels said, why do you seek the living among the dead?
He’s not here. He’s risen just like he told you that he would be. But he’d already been risen since the beginning of the first day of the week, which was Saturday at sundown. So again this year, we’re probably the only church in America that does it, but we have a sundown service instead of a sunrise service. I don’t believe in following traditions if they’re not really right and the sunrise service is really a false tradition again that has crept into Christianity.
If you go back with me to Ezekiel, you know God in the Old Testament was upset with the Jewish people and destroyed the city of Jerusalem because they had allowed corrupt practices to enter in and we’re going to go back here to Ezekiel, I’ll give you the page number as soon as I arrive, going to be on page 847. And we find here that God takes Ezekiel on a trip through time. This is page 847 if you haven’t had the Scofield.
Ezekiel chapter 8 we have here Ezekiel, one of the captives from the Babylonian captivity. And he’s in Iraq. Interesting that today in our world we’re back to Iraq where it all began at one time. And we find here that he He was sitting in his house and the Holy Spirit came and picked him up out of his house and transported him. Look at verse 3. He took the form of a hand and took me by a lock of my head and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven and brought me into the visions of God to Jerusalem, to door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north, where was the seat of the image of jealousy which provoked to jealousy.
And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there according to the vision which I saw in the plane. I believe that Ezekiel was taken from his house in Iraq while he was in the captivity to Jerusalem but also back in time where he saw Jerusalem before God allowed the temple there and the city of Jerusalem to be destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and his armies. And what God is doing is he says, I want you to tell these people in Iraq because apparently they weren’t getting the message.
Here’s why I destroyed Jerusalem. Here’s why I had you all kicked off the land of Israel and carried away captive into Babylon because of what you allowed to happen on my temple mount. Verse 13, he’s pointing out to Ezekiel, look at the things that they’re doing here on my temple mount. And of course, there is no temple right now, but we believe another temple will be rebuilt right after the Rapture in the tribulation period and that the preparations have already been made.
I think we’re very close to the Rapture. And once the Rapture happens, the third temple will be rebuilt that Christ will come back to at a second coming. For 13 says, in Ezekiel 8, he said, also unto me, turn thee yet again, and thou shall see greater abominations that they do. So this is a part of the list of the abominations. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house, which was toward the north.
And behold, there’s that women weeping for Tamuz. Tamuz is equivalent to bail. And this was the counterfeit. He was introduced here to Israel and actually there were people right here on the Temple Mount. Notice that we’re weeping for Tamuz. What is that about? That is really Lent. There might be Lent, L.I.N.T. but you’ll not find any L.E.N.T. in your Bible at all. And the 40 days of weeping and fasting, this is Lent. And God was terrible. And God was terribly upset with that practice.
You know, if you read the history of what happened, Satan came along with the wife of Nimrod, and they founded a religious system that’s with us even to this day, the worship of a mother and her son. Bail is equivalent to Tamuz, which was his name. It depends on where you go. Every land had the same system, but they would change the names. Mother and son, Colton Egypt, was Ices and Horus. In Italy it was Venus and Cupid. In Greece it was Aphrodite and Eros.
In Israel it was Astroth and Bail. Astroth being the mother and Bail being the son. And this was a false worship system. Well supposedly Bail was gored by a wild boar and a hunting accident and there two tales, one says that he died and they fasted and wept for him and he came back from the dead. The other one says that he’s life hung in the balance for the 40 days and they fasted and wept for him and he recovered.
In any case it’s a counterfeit of the death and barrel in the resurrection of Christ that Satan had devised that really took people away from the truth of God’s message concerning Jesus. And so for 40 days they would weep and fast. You won’t find in the Bible anywhere where Lent is around. It’s just not there. It’s amazing, isn’t it? And so there’s 40 days of weeping and fasting. A lot of churches do it and they practice Lent and you see the Roman Catholics in particular running around on the beginning day, Ash Wednesday and they got ashes on their forehead and it marks the beginning of this fasting and weeping for Tamuz.
But then notice God was not only upset at the fact that they really were fasting and weeping for him and worshiped him. And of course, when Constantine came along, you know, he declared the world to be Christians. So these pagan celebrations, all of a sudden, were given Christian significance. The mother and child were now married in Jesus. And so they brought this tradition of Lent into Christianity and said, now this is a Christian thing, but you can’t find any support for it in the Bible at all.

Yes, Dr. Lindstrom. Jesus Christ went through a horrible crucifixion and punishment. And with that in mind, what do you think about the world has associated Easter act content and basically making it a pay. it a pagan holiday Easter? What do you think of churches that have Easter at-cons during that same day? Well, some of them I just don’t think have a clue as to why they do that or where it comes from, but actually it has to do with the celebration of Easter, which is really Astro-Othem-other bail.
She was a sex goddess and the eggs in the buddy-ravitz all have to do a sex and rapid and so on and that’s where it came from but has nothing to do with Christianity, but I don’t have a problem I think as long as you do that and give a He is the resurrection and the life. And the egg, of course, can represent new life. And the fact that when you trust Christ, you are born again. You become a child of God.
And whenever you die, you’ll be given a brand new resurrection body. And Christ obviously is the one who brings that all about. But I think a lot of the pagan stuff is still with us. And we’re never going to get into it. And we’re going to be able to do it. completely rid of it, but I think as best we can, we need to use the R word and talk about the resurrection and try to make Christ the center of the celebration even as we do at Christmas that it’s not about Santa Claus, it’s about Jesus.
If my convictions were not the… I don’t have them at my church at all. We’ve abandoned all that. But we do give the children what we call resurrection candy and make it a wonderful day as we talk about Jesus coming back from the day. Well, I have an eight-year-old and we’ve taught our children what Rick Easter is really about. And she will tell you, as she shared with her classmates, one of her classmates asked her. And basically my daughter gave that other student the planet’s elevation.
And her teacher wise, the child asked the teacher and the teacher asked my daughter to explain to this little girl, the teacher wisely did it. And my little daughter met sovation and asked the questions and she said, this is what Easter is about and what they did to Jesus. And Jesus died in rose again and so we can have some. Praise the Lord. We’re going to go down to John and John is in use this Florida and John welcome to Bibleline you are on the air Yeah, that’s a good morning.
Good morning. This program truly is a light in a dark world. I like that make a comment if I make and My comment is that never you see a show on TV about Jesus. They always show him with long hair If that be the case, he would be violating his own work. I agree with you, 100%. First Corinthians 11-14 says, does not even nature itself teach you that it’s a shame for a man to have long hair. And I believe Christ had short hair, did not have long hair, but so much today, people are not checking out what they believe or what they’re taught against the Scriptures, which are the authority.
And as a result, we just swallow whatever we’re taught, and many people have been taking on a path that leads them far from the Bible. Yes, and you know also I like to add to that, that a lot of times they show him as being a very good-looking person. I believe he was very average-looking. If he was good-looking, I believe some people would have followed just because of his looks. Well, that’s possibly true and I really don’t know because we don’t have any photographs, but I know in the crucifixion that he was made to be very ugly.
It says that his image was marred so that he didn’t even look human after he’d been beaten up by the soldiers and nailed it across. He I’m sure had his face kind of cut and was bleeding and was puffed up and distorted from the swelling, from the blows to the face by the soldiers. And so obviously it says he is visaged with so marred that he didn’t even look like a human being when he was on the cross. So there was no beauty there at the cross for sure.
But it is earthly life. We will just have to wait and see what he looked like. Amen. But I just want to say thank you for the program because it truly is a light. And I thank you for it. Okay, thank you, John, John, and Eustis, Florida. We have now anonymous from Jacksonville, Florida. Anonymous, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I’ll ask the question and hang up. I’m trying to give an answer to a nonbeliever. I’m not able to give the proper answer.
It was asked to me over the Easter holiday. Why did Jesus wait for the third day to resurrect? Why the nonbeliever wanted to know why he didn’t do it the same day or the very next day that if he was really Why did he leave himself in the grave for three days? I wasn’t able to give anything other than he was in Hades preaching to the people. But if you have something different, I could tell this person that would be good.
And let me hang up and listen. Thank you, sir. All right. Well, again, even today we have people criticize and say, well, he just feigned and he didn’t really die. You know, when a person is dead, three days. It’s quite a miracle for them to come back from the dead. If you attended a funeral earlier, let’s say, last week. And then this week, three or four days later, that person comes walking up your walk and knocks on your front door.
You’re going to be freaking out because you know that’s a genuine resurrection. If the body’s still in the casket and rises up, you say, well, maybe they made a mistake. mistaken. Sometimes that’s happened where somebody really didn’t die. They’re still alive and they awaken. But Jesus was fully dead and he proved that he was God in the flesh by bringing that body that had been dead for three days back to life. I hope that helps. But I really believe that just like with Lazarus, he was dead four days when Christ called him out of the grave.
He waited those four days because the people knew that by that time he He stunk. His body was corrupting and it would be an awful stench and they didn’t want him to roll the stone away. And obviously that was a great miracle. He came back to dead from the dead after four full days. We have a caller from the land, Florida. We have Diane and Diane. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi. At the end of the book of Revelation, it mentions that at the end after the thousand year reign of Christ, the death hell in the grave will be cast into the lake of fire.
Soon did heaven hell with the final destination? Do you understand that? Well the final hell is empty right now and Satan and his angels are cast in right after the thousand year reign of Christ is over. So Satan will be cast in according to Revelation 20 verse 10 and his angels will follow and And then in verses 11 through 15 it talks about the unsaved dead who are now presently waiting in Hades in flame and torment in the heart of the earth will be brought up out of Hades, judged according to their works, out of the books, and assigned a degree of punishment in hell and then be cast into that lake of fire of the eternal hell.
So there’s nobody in hell yet. And so those who talk about experiences of going to hell are crazy because the Bible teaches there’s nobody there and nobody’s going to go there because it was a creative for Satan and as angels and they get to be first. I see. The other comment I have is I went to a series of lectures that the Seventh-day Adventist Church had just to see what they and one of the things that really floored me was and they didn’t take any questions either they were lectures and you were out the door was the mark of the beast is Sunday Sabbath keepers.
Isn’t that something and i tried to say something as they shook their hand at the door you need to reread the scripture you know that and they want to hear it and uh… the other strange thing they and mother and with mother earth and and i did i couldn’t believe it but the one on the sunday savagepers really got me uh… apparently you know they have a series all over the country all the time i know it and succulent by you know and time prophecy stuff but Anyway, that’s all I had to say.
And thank you for your explanation. I couldn’t quote it, but I understand what you were saying. OK. Well, God bless you. Hank Lindstrom. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, this is Bibleline and Dr. Hank Lindstrom. we’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes. All right, we’re going to turn into our Bibles to Matthew 5. Here we find that Jesus says in verse 17, think not that I am come to destroy the law. By the way, we’ll stop right there.
That is of expression that refers to the first five books of the Bible that God, of course, wrote through the prophet Moses. And then it says here, or the prophets. That is the rest of the Old Testament. And so what Jesus is saying here is, think not that I’m come to destroy the law or the prophets. That is the entire Old Testament. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Isn’t that interesting? The Old Testament is amazing and it tells in advance the coming of Jesus.
Hundreds of prophecies were literally fulfilled by Jesus at his first coming. And Christ did not come to do away with the Old Testament, but he came to fulfill it. Then in verse 18 Jesus says, For verily I say unto you, Tell heaven and earth pass one John Jot, or one tittle, shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Here when Jesus uses the expression the law, he is referring to the entire Old Testament. Many times it is used that way.
Sometimes it refers just to the Ten Commandments. Sometimes it refers to just the first five books of the Bible called the law, and then at the times it refers to the entire Bible. In this case, that’s what it’s talking about. Jesus says, “‘Verily I say unto you, tell heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.'” What is he saying here? Well, the jot and the tittle is talking about the Hebrew alphabet.
In the English alphabet there are 26 characters. In the Hebrew alphabet there are 22 characters. In the Hebrew alphabet the smallest character is called a jot. And the tittle is the smallest marking of a letter in the Hebrew alphabet. And that would be equivalent to the dot over the eye in the English alphabet. That would be the smallest mark. What Jesus is saying here is not even one letter or even the smallest marking of a letter shall in any wise pass from the Old Testament till all of it is fulfilled.
Amazing, isn’t it? So obviously Jesus believed in a literal Bible that every word, every letter, every marking of a letter in the original autographs, in the original manuscripts as given by God through the prophets was set down perfectly exactly as he would have it be without error and that we had an infallible perfect Bible given to us as it came to us through the prophets. Now we can’t say that about our translations because all of them have problems, but we still have a very, very, very accurate Bible.
It’s been transmitted very, very carefully and we do have some problems, but they are minor. The major thrust of the Bible is there throughout, even with those who try to change the Scriptures. The Jehovah’s Witnesses, for example, have the new world translation. They deliberately try to sanitize the Bible and get rid of doctrines that they don’t agree with. And they work at it pretty hard. And yet, if you know your Bible well, they can’t get rid of all the truth.
I have been able to use the New World Translation and lead Jehovah’s Witnesses to Christ with their Bible. I don’t recommend that for the average person because you need to be very familiar with it. But they don’t get rid of the truth in every place. They have gotten rid of it in some of the more conspicuous places, but they don’t get rid of the truth in every place. By the way, this might shock you, but the NIV translation is almost identical to the Jehovah’s Witness New World translation.
Both of them drop 44 verses in their entirety. Can you believe it? 44 verses are missing in their entirety from your Bible, plus thousands of other omissions if you have the NIV translation. It’s probably one of the worst out there. I’m Dr. Englund Strim and this is Bibleline. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And now back to Bibleline. Welcome back from the break. This is Tom Perry from Bibleline Ministries.
We hope that you are learning with us as we listen to questions from previous Bible line callers and answers from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Have you been able to join us for Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching series on the resurrection of Jesus? After the conclusion of this teaching series, we will begin a new series on the Book of Daniel. Now please join us as we return to our question and answer segment and then hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. When I have Bob in Newport, Richie Bob welcome to Bibleline your own here.
Yes, good morning Hank. I Just wanted to ask you a question about three months ago on your show that you were talking about the you know some of the heretical teachings of the Of the Roman Catholic Church, and I wanted to know what’s your rationale behind the phrase that the Catholic masses on scriptural? Well, because the Catholic Mass is the offering of Christ again to pay for sin, it’s obviously repeated sacrifice or incremental salvation from mass to mass. If you read the catechism, which I have one with it a few feet of me, it says, what is the sacrifice of the Mass?
The answer is in the catechism the Mass is the unbloodied sacrifice of Jesus Christ again to pay for sin. Then the next question is, is the mass the same sacrifice as that of Calvary? And the catechism says that the mass is the same sacrifice as that of Calvary. So it’s the offering of Jesus Christ again to pay for sin every time the mass is offered. So they’re crucifying Christ every time mass is offered hundreds of thousands of times all over the world all the time.
And that is a blasphemy because Christ died once. If you read Hebrews, especially chapter 9 and 10, it says, by one offering he hath perfected forever those that are sanctified. It says, by the will of God we are sanctified to the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And verse 12 of Hebrews 10 says, this man after he’d offered one sacrifice for sins forever. So the one sacrifice that he made was sufficient to pay for everybody’s sins that were passed, that is prior to the cross, for everybody who would ever live in the future thereafter.
And when we trust in what happened at the cross, we become saved. But to say we have to repeatedly go back and get our sins caught up every time the mass is offered or the one we attend is craziness. That’s totally foreign to the Bible. Do you have any like free information that you could send me like a newsletter or a paper about, you know, political things about the Catholic Church? Absolutely. If you wouldn’t mind, you could call back after the program and our staff will send you some literature.
Okay, I’ll do that. Thank you, Bob. Thanks, and have a nice day. You too. So the mass is really… Basically, if you’re Catholic, you go to confession, then you’re assigned penance. You do penance, then you’re eligible to attend mass, and then you get your sins paid for up until that moment. And then you have to… Then you wind up sitting, obviously, and you come back to the next Mass and get paid up again. I had one lady call me.
She said, I’m in trouble. I said, why? She says, I’m four years behind in my sins. I said, how did that happen? She said, I haven’t attended Mass in four years. So she was panning because she got four years behind in her sin debt. And obviously wrong teaching. I had to explain to her that the cross of Calvary, when Jesus died, He paid for all of your sins past, present and future. They’re all paid for. love that him. Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain, but he washed it as wide as snow. So at the cross Jesus Christ paid for every sin that you would ever commit past, present, and future. And he paid for the sins of all mankind, everybody from Adam until the last person who has ever born and lives on this planet will live and die. And when you trust in his finished work at the cross, you become saved and saved eternally. is obviously the good news of the gospel that whosoever believeth or trusteth in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3 16, what a great verse that one is. We have Julian now in Tampa, Florida and Julian, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Year. Hi, Dr. Thank you for taking my phone call. I have kind of a difficult question here. I’ll try to make this very quick. If Jesus was when he was here in human form, did his actions and his teachings and methods, did it favor more of a free enterprise society or a socialist society? And I ask you that question because now with the elections coming up, a lot of voters are kind of undecided on what they want to vote for.
And that’s when we ought to look to the Lord and see what they want to vote for. what his teachings and methods were and what type of politics that would favor. And I’m going to go ahead and hang up so I can listen to your answer on that. Well obviously the Bible says in John 8 you should know the truth and the truth should set you free. And so I think that in America here because of the belief of our forefathers that we developed a very free society where you had the choice to choose your employment or your form of business and that the government wasn’t to really interfere, but they were to obviously provide peace and train quality, which Romans chapter 13 talks about the responsibility of government is obviously to provide law and order and peace and to allow us to continue to pursue those things
of life and happiness. And that’s what our forefathers saw. So I think the country that we once were when we founded it is the kind of country that develops out of a free society where the Bible is the Word of God and that was our first textbook. And the people believed in those freedoms and people chose to set their own destiny. And obviously as believers, we have this kind of freedom and the truth sets us free. So we’re not under some type of a socialistic society where we are just dominated by the government.
So I think today we’re going back now toward the other type of a government, which ultimately is that the push seems to be a one-world government which Satan wants to have, which is predicted in the Bible, where the Antichrist will control everybody. You’re buying and you’re selling. Everything will be controlled by the Antichrist. That seems to be exactly the type of government that we’re headed toward now where we have the government controlling everything that you do and whatever you think and whatever you can say.
at how Christians are being muzzled today, while in many of the high schools the Islamic people can pray. They provide per carpets for them and happening in airports and things. But you and I as a Christian aren’t allowed to pray if we were in high school today. We are shunned if we do and we’re put down and we obviously are more and more being gagged as to what we can say. That’s a shame. And obviously we’re going away from that.
So I think, well, we are in the last days and I’m glad I’m leaving it to Rapture because after that, your freedoms, I think, will all have been taken away from you. You’ll be under the control of the Antichrist and he’ll control everything you buy and everything you sell. Revelation 13, read it for yourself. It’s not going to be good. Well, I’m going to go to Anne in St. Petersburg She has an unfair question, so I’ll get this one.
First Corinthians 15, 35 through 58. What will our bodies be like? Well there it says they will be uniquely Individual so everybody will be different one from another, but we also apparently will be recognizable Because our bodies will be like Christ body and we know when he came back from the dead they recognized him and so we’ll be recognizable We also know that it’ll be flesh but not necessarily have blood in our bodies. We know that Christ, when He came back from the dead, Luke 24, said that, touch me and handle me, for a spirit that does not have flesh and bones, as you see me have.
Normally you would have the expression flesh and blood, but all of Christ’s bodies, blood poured out upon the ground as He died and shed that blood to pay for our sins. So He talks about His resurrection body being flesh and bones, but not flesh and blood. So we as assume that we won’t need blood in our new resurrection bodies, we’ll have to wait and see. But on and on we know that Christ in His resurrection body could pass right through a locked door or through a closed wall into a room that is secured and Christ appeared in that upper room after the resurrection.
He went right through a locked door or through the wall. We’ll be able to do that. We’ll also be able to travel about. Christ went to heaven and came back several times. I believe they’re right after the resurrection. That will be not an issue either. I think we’ll travel through space. In fact, at the Rapture, we’re going to go up through space without a rocket or spaceship. The only way that’s possible is to have our new bodies. We find that at the resurrection or at the rapture when we get our resurrection bodies will be transformed on the way up and then we’ll wind up meeting Christ in the air and going on to heaven and then coming back and re-entering the earth’s atmosphere as Christ comes back and all of his power and all of his glory re-enters the earth’s atmosphere and comes back and sets up a kingdom here where he’s
King of Kings and Lord of Lords and rules over the whole earth. So Anna tells you a little bit, but you will have a recognizable body and it will be in the prime of life. Christ was 33 years of age, so I believe in appearance will all be about 33 years of age. You will not appear old if you’re older or nor will you appear younger if you’re younger. Everybody will have a body about 33 years of age in appearance.

So these pagan celebrations, all of a sudden, were given Christian significance. The mother and child were now married in Jesus. And so they brought this tradition of Lent into Christianity and said, now this is a Christian thing, but you can’t find any support for it in the Bible at all. It’s the same pagan thing that you can read about through ancient history that now was wed into Christianity. Then verse 15, then he said it to me, has thou seen this?
Ezekiel, do your eyes open? Are you seeing what I’m showing you? I’ve picked you up out of your home in Iraq. I’ve transported you between the earth and the heavens over to Jerusalem. I’ve taken you back in time prior to the destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the temple there. Are you seeing why I destroyed Jerusalem? Do you see why I was upset? Do you see why I allowed Jerusalem and the temple to be destroyed? Do you see why I kicked all the Jewish people off the land and took them away captive to Iraq?
Ezekiel, I want to make sure that you see this, so you can tell them this is why I did this in case they haven’t gotten the message. So he says in verse 15, “‘Has thou seen this, O Son of Man? “‘Turn the yet again, and thou shall see greater “‘abominations than these. “‘And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house “‘and behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, “‘between the porch and the altar, “‘were five and 20 men with their backs “‘toward the temple of the Lord, “‘and their faces toward the east, “‘and they worship the sun toward the east.'”
Now what was that about? Well at the end of the 40 days of weeping and fasting, for Tamuz or bail, which was really lent. Then bail supposedly came back from the dead or Tamuz came back from the dead and bail was known as the Sun God, SU and God, not the SON God, but they would worship or celebrate with his mother, his resurrection, by what? Standing in the dark waiting for the sunrise, watching for the sun to rise, which was the way they would celebrate the resurrection or the recovery of bail from the 40 days that he was dead or wounded by the accident with a wild boar.
And so the Sunrise Service, I believe, was FANTASY, was totally pagan and got particularly ticked off as well. So what do people do on a Sunrise Service? They get up before dark. They generally have everybody facing east. What do they watch for. They watch for the sun to come up in the east. And that was the celebration of Baal. And so I believe that Sunrise Service is totally wrong. And has that pagan origin. That’s why we have a sundown service because it’s clear from the Bible if you just do a little thinking.
That Christ, if he was placed in the grave at sundown, was going to be in the grave 72 hours would come back to the grave at sundown. So if he comes back in the morning from the dead, as so many people celebrate with a sunrise service, he’s in the grave three days and four nights. when he said he would be in the grave three days and three nights. And so Christ, we believe, without a doubt, came back from the dead right at the beginning of the first day of the week, which was Sunday night, which begins really Saturday night Sunday night.
If you’ve ever been to Israel, Friday night at Sunday night at Sunday night, the nation pretty much shuts down. The national bus is all going, the big national garages and the bus system shuts down. The national television shuts down. All the shops and stores shut down. And in Saturday, at sundown, the lights come on, television lights up, and everything comes to life again. And the cars, the buses, and things, and the activities begin again, because the Sabbath runs from Friday sundown, Saturday sundown, the Sabbath is over, and Sunday night begins as the Jews count their time, and that’s when Christ rose from the dead.
But notice here, this thing about standing and watching for the sun to rise was actually way of celebrating Baal or Tamuz and that’s why and I don’t attack people I have a sunrise service I think most people just don’t know history and they don’t know their Bible and they are ignorantly having a sunrise service not knowing that the sunrise service is really the worship of the Sun God who is Baal and his mother is Asthoroth the short form is Ashtar the English form is Easter I don’t even like to say her name and people tell me in the spring time We’re gonna celebrate Easter.
I say why do you want to celebrate a sex goddess? That’s the mother of veil I celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. I don’t celebrate Easter, but throughout the Old Testament Vail’s mother was celebrated in the recovery of her son By standing at the end of the 40 days watching for the Sun to rise Symbolic of the rising of her son back from the dead after the 40 days of Lent Isn’t that amazing? So much nonsense has been just plugged right into Christianity and people just blindly follow along and observe that.
It could be well back in the book of Judges for a moment and we’ll go back to John’s Gospel. But in the book of Judges, look at what God says. We learn here that during the time of Joshua, it says here, notice in verse 7 of Judges chapter 2, verse 7 says, and the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the Lord that he did for Israel.
In Joshua, verse 8, the son of none, the servant of the Lord, died being 110 years old. And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres in the mountain of Ephraim on the north side of the hill, Gash. And also all that generation were gathered under their fathers. They all died. And then there arose another generation after them. And look at the phrase here, which knew not the Lord. They were unsaved. They didn’t know the Lord.
And they didn’t know God’s Word. Which knew not the Lord, verse 10. Nor yet the works which the Lord had done for Israel. And the children of Israel, verse 11, did evil in the sight of the Lord and they served what? Bail. That’s bail. And the other gods that were associated with that false worship system. So this is Baal with a plural ending here, I am. Whenever you see a word with the I am ending, it’s a plural word.
For example, cherub is singular. Cherubim, the I am ending, is an indication to us that it’s plural. And here Baal is singular, but Baal with the I am ending means Baal plus the other gods associated. Look at verse 12, and they percip the Lord God of their fathers, which had brought them out of the land of Egypt and followed other gods, and the gods of the people that were around about them, they bowed themselves unto them and provoked the Lord to anger.
Look at verse 13, and they forsook the Lord and served Baal and his mother Easter, Estheroth. Again, Estheroth, the short form is Ashthar, the English form is Easter. So they noticed for sick the Lord and they served Baal and his mother. And we are confronted with that every year in the spring because of the 40 days of Lent that many churches practice, which is the 40 days of weeping and fasting for Baal, and then the celebration of his recovery from the accident or the resurrection for the dead on the 40th day when they would stand and it was interesting that God said, look at them.
They turned their back to my temple. That was where the presence of God was to be manifested. And they turned their back on God and they faced the east who worshipped the sun God, Baal, symbolically as he rose in the morning, a picture of his resurrection. Look at verse 14, how did God feel about that? You want to see how God felt about it? Look at verse 14, and the anger of the Lord was what? Hot against Israel. It’s a pretty descriptive phrase, isn’t it?
Now, let me ask you a question. Do you think God has changed his mind in a couple of thousand years? God’s cool down now. He doesn’t care anymore. You know, let’s go out and worship Astrotherm Dale. And he’s got a couple thousand years to cool off and he doesn’t bother him anymore. I think it still bothers him today. I think a lot of things that are happening bother him today. And that’s what we’re saying here. God got angry at that.
I think he still gets angry at that. And yet the false teaching still perseveres. And I think a lot of preachers don’t even want to shake the boat or rock the boat and bring up the fact that a lot of traditions that are a part of Christianity are absolutely false and make God angry. We’re going back to John now, chapter 19. And we started off here talking about how Jesus was crucified, we believe on Wednesday, Because the Passover there was not the Saturday Sabbath, but this was the high day, the high holy day of Passover that occurred on Thursday of that particular week when Christ was crucified two thousand years ago and watched the calendar of Passover will fall on Thursday again.
And so we can really just kind of imagine the week transpiring. I have a chart and I show you every day what happens every day in the crucifixion week and how Christ was crucified on Wednesday and rose at the end of the three days at the beginning of the first day of the week, and then when those three Sabbath days had ended, the Passover Sabbath of Thursday, the Feast of Unleavened Bread Sabbath of Friday, and the regular Saturday Sabbath had ended, then the women could approach because you couldn’t approach a dead body during a Sabbath.
That’s why they had to wait three days. If you ever wondered, why did they wait three days to come with spices to finish the barrel, and the reason why is they couldn’t not approach the tomb during a Sabbath? So they had to wait until Those three Sabbaths had come to a conclusion. That’s what Matthew’s Gospel tells us. And here we find that Christ was crucified on that preparation day. Thanks for listening to Bibleline. That wraps up another edition of Bibleline for today.

Can you believe it? 44 verses are missing in their entirety from your Bible plus thousands of other omissions if you have the NIV translation. It’s probably one of the worst out there. We have a quiz. You’re welcome to call and ask for it. We’ll mail it out to you free, but it’s the NIV quiz. If you give somebody this quiz and they use the NIV to get their answers, they’ll get a zero because guess what? The questions are all on the 44 verses that are not in their Bible.
So they can’t look up the verses because they’re not there. And they obviously will get a zero on the quiz. It’s a real wake up for those who have the NIV translation. And by the way, we also have the book New Age Bible Versions, which is really powerful in exposing about 20 of the most modern translations out there right now. And the problems that are there in each of them. It’s about 800 pages and it’s well worth the price.
gift of twenty dollars and we’ll ship that out to you new age Bible versions. But notice Jesus believed in a literal Bible. You don’t want anything to be subtracted from your Bible and you don’t want anything to be added to your Bible. In Revelation chapter 22 and verses 18 and 19, Jesus gives a warning at the very end of the Bible and he says that you’re not to add nor are you to subtract from the Bible. And boy, are they doing that left and right today?
And the Bible says that they come under God’s curse for doing that. Jesus believed in a literal Bible. He said it would be all fulfilled. He did not come to destroy the Bible but to fulfill it. And he said, tell heaven and earth pass, not even one letter, a jot, or the smallest marking of a letter, a tittle. Shall in any wise pass from the scriptures, the Old Testament till all be fulfilled. We’re reading from Matthew 5, 17, and 18.
Now let me give you an example of how accurate the Bible is and how Jesus tells us and shows us and demonstrates us how it is to be taken literally. When you go over to Matthew chapter 22 you have Jesus confronted here by a religious group called the Sadducees and the Sadducees were the liberal theologians of that day. We still have them around today. They didn’t believe in the resurrection. They didn’t believe in life after death and here they come and they confront Christ.
Verse 23 of Matthew 22 says, The same day came to Christ, the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection. And notice they say in verse 24, as they quote the Old Testament, they say, Master Moses said, now they’re going to quote from one of the first five books of the Bible, and they quote from the writings of Moses. And here there they quote, if a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up seed unto his brother.
There were with us seven brothers. The first when he married a wife, deceased, and having left no children, left his wife unto his brother. Likewise the second, also the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, and finally the seventh. The woman died also. Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seven for the all-hadder? Matthew 22, 29. Jesus answered and said unto them, You do err not knowing the scriptures in the resurrection. They neither marry nor are given to marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
