Now open your Bible to the book of Revelation chapter 2 and join us for Dr. Lynchton’s teaching for today. Now that was for 40 days and by the way that is the groundwork for Lent. There is no Lent in your Bible. There might be Lent, L-I-N-T but there is no Lent in your Bible.
What is this observing of weeping and fasting that began here for Tamuz? And it was 40 days of giving up things and praying, and the result was that Tamuz came back from the dead or survived and didn’t die, but in the case this was occasion to be celebrated. Now that got went into Christianity, and there is no such thing as Lent, but they tried to give it as Christian significant, and in the Christian world they supposedly give up things.
And just prior to that, in Roman Catholic circles around the world, what do they do just before Lent? They know they’re going to have to give up in fast and weep for 40 days, so they gorge themselves just before that. They call it Mardi Gras or in French. I guess it means Fat Tuesday where you go out and do everything. You drink, you get drunk, you indulge in every type of sin that you want. And then for 40 days you kind of make it up.
And that happens in carnivals all across Brazil and Argentina and around the world where Catholicism is. There’s this 40 days, but before it boy do whatever you want to do and it’s okay. Seems to have approval that you just go ahead and get your full of it before the 40 days when you have to give it up. This pagan observance of these carnivals and this festivity and then this weeping and fasting and giving up is all pagan has nothing to do with Christianity.
You will not find it in your Bible at all. And here God was very upset because here they were right there in the temple. And notice there are these women who are weeping for Tamuz, the counterfeit of Jesus, at the very place where God would display His presence at the temple. Well, verse 15, God says to Ezekiel, have you seen this? Have you seen it? Did you see what I wanted you to see? Did you see why I got mad?
You see why I destroyed Jerusalem? Do you see why I took the Jews and cast them over there in direct and captivity? You see why I destroyed their temple in Jerusalem? This is why. And he says here, O son of man, turn thee yet again and thou shall see greater abominations than these. Verse 16, he brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house. That’s the temple. He’s back in time now before it had been destroyed. And he’s seeing why God was so upset.
And he says here and behold at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch in the altar were five and twenty men apparently leaders. In Israel, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, why would they have their backs toward the temple, which is the place where God would show His presence? You would think they would be facing the temple where God would make His presence known. But their backs were toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, and they did what?
They worshiped the sun toward the east. You see, this worship of Baal had another form where it was the worship of the sun God, and they would worship the sun coming up in the morning. I really believe that when we’re celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christianity comes out on that Sunday morning and faces the east and watches the sunrise. It is pagan. I believe Christ rose at sundown Saturday night. He was placed in the grave at sundown. He said he’d be in the grave 72 hours.
If you put him in the grave, it’s sundown. He has to come out at sundown 72 hours later. When he came out of the grave, it’s sundown Saturday night. That was the beginning of Sunday night. The Jews count their night from sundown to sundown. If you’ve ever visited Israel, Saturday, the Sabbath begins Friday night sundown. In Saturday night sundown, Israel shuts down. The national bus system shuts down. Everything shuts down. It’s just quiet. The stores, the shops, everything is shut down.
All of a sudden, Saturday night sundown, Israel comes to life. The stores open, the people come out, the lights shine, and the buses come out, and things happen in Israel beginning Saturday Sunday. That is when the first day of the week begins. The Sabbath is ended. And so it was then that Christ rose, and what happened on Sunday morning was a discovery of an empty tomb. They didn’t see the resurrection on Sunday morning. Christ was already risen, I believe, by twelve hours when they came Sunday morning, not even expecting a resurrection.
It came with spices and ohements to finish the burial. They were looking for a body. And they discovered an empty tomb. They were shocked. But Christ had come back from the dead. But this thing about getting up, I remember the little boy, that’s my mom and dad this, in our church that we were raised in, and I was born and raised in Miami. We’d have to get up before the sun would rise, and I’d complain, and get out of bed, and get dressed, and especially put on my Sunday dudes, my best clothes.
And we’d get to church before the sun would rise. I said, why do we have to do this? Because we have to watch the sun come up on so-called resurrection Sunday. And I thought about that and later I discovered, I believe, that this is a pagan thing that came into Christianity where people would watch the S-U-N and worship the S-U-N. You know, in Catholicism, they in the Mass celebrate with a round piece of bread. We’ll see that prusionAFP in the Roman Catholic service.
fav PKK fav in the Catholic servicemisc He said, you’ve got so much science that you can see, and they parade that down to the Catholic Church. And you’ll see those things that go out, that’s the sun’s rays. That’s really the sun. It’s a picture of the sun God. And people wind up worshipping that piece of bread at a particular time in the mass. The Catholic Church. The Catholic Church teaches that the bread is transformed into the actual body cells of Christ and that becomes Christ’s body.
And then they take that piece of bread and ingest it and they say they’re actually ingesting Christ into their body. Mother Teresa said, isn’t amazing that I can hold Jesus between my two fingers. That’s Catholic theology. That you can get ahold of Jesus and hold Him and put Him into your mouth and ingest Him. Roman Catholic theology, that that piece of bread becomes Jesus and that bread is worshiped. And it’s really an idol and it’s a false religious system that crept into Christianity when Constantine declared the world to become Christian.
And a lot of people don’t have a clue that that’s what’s going on and that Satan’s counterfeit is out there. Well, God says, you want to know what I’m mad? Ezekiel, I’m going to take you back for time, take you over to Jerusalem. I want you to see. you have been turning their backs on me in the temple where I show my presence and they’re watching the sun to come up in the morning and worshiping the rising sun. That’s the counterfeit and amazingly we do it at the same time when Christ rises from the dead.
I think God is probably very offended because although many people do it instantly and don’t really realize what they’re doing, it is this pagan system that makes I’m sure God nauseous. go over now to Jeremiah, the prophet, turn to chapter 44. Jeremiah warns Israel about this incursion into their worship system. And here it says in verse 16 of chapter 44 on page 821, Jeremiah says, what says here, rather, the people said to Jeremiah in verse 16, as for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, what do the people I will say.
We will not harken unto thee. Isn’t it interesting? Jeremiah had a hard job because he preached and didn’t want to hear what he had to say. And oftentimes that is what is the response sometimes to truth because people don’t want to hear the truth and they’ll gather where they hear what they want to hear preached and their ears are tickled rather than told what God’s Word has to say. They’re not going to hark in a heart. There was God’s pro.
He says we’re going to do the good thing. We’re going to have our own mouth to burn incense under the clean water. This is an astro and they would burn incense toudeauctx and pour out drink offerings under her and it says down to verse 19 when we burned incense of heaven and poured And poured out our drink offerings under her, did we make her cakes to worship her? And here’s those little round cakes that they would use. You know when the Lord observed the Passover and instituted the Lord’s Supper, the Jewish people have the much.
the matzo, which is a rectangular piece of bread. This round idea comes from the pagan round cake that they made to worship the queen of heaven. Thank you for joining us. Now please join us for a segment featuring Dr. Lynch from answering questions from callers. We’re going to the phone lines to tap at the gym. Jim, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. thanks for taking my call. You’re welcome. I just caught the beginning of your show and heard you talking about salvation and how eternal it is. I just happen to be reading Ephesians chapter 2 and verses 5 and 6 kind of tells us that once we were saved he has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Amen. Positionally we’re already in heaven. Yeah. And so to be lost we’d have to be ripped out of heaven and thrown back down onto the earth and cast into hell. Not gonna happen. Positionally, I’m already seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus according to the Bible. So basically we’re seen as believers in Christ. So whatever happened to Christ happened to us, judicially and positionally, as God abused us, He sees us in Christ. So when Christ was crucified, we were crucified.
When Christ was buried, we were buried. When Christ rose from the dead, we rose from the dead. When Christ ascended to heaven, we ascended to heaven. When Christ was seated on the right hand of the Majesty on high, we were seated with Christ on the right hand of the Father in Heaven and so on and so on. So our salvation has already been settled. All right, thank you. All right, that was Jim and Tampa. We have a first time caller and we’re going to talk to Mark on the line right now.
Mark, welcome to my line. Well, good morning. How are you? Well, I’m doing absolutely great. I love it down here. I heard you. I want to get into an area like this. I generally try to tune to the local radio station because I usually have a lot of good program tones. Uh-huh. And I’ve heard you this morning talk about hail and Hades and so forth and going to heaven and first one thing and another. I wonder if you. All right.
Let me head on over there while you. It’s Jesus Christ is talking in pre-John 3.13. which a lot of people miss us awful. Right. It says that no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man which is in heaven. Obviously, first of all, ascended up to heaven is different than being taken up to heaven. Some people look at this verse and they say, well, what about Elijah? Wasn’t he taken up to heaven off?
I re-chariate. But he was taken by the Lord up. But here, the Lord is the only one of his own power who had the option and choice and did ascend of his own self to heaven. So that’s different than others that have been taken up to heaven. Then at the same time it tells us basically that he’s omnipresent. He’s God because here he was on the earth at the same time he’s in heaven. And I think that that’s what the last part of the verse is saying that he is God and he He is therefore…
I’m the president, but here he came down and revealed himself here on the earth in a human body. But he’s the one that is unique in the sense that he had the power to ascend, which you and I don’t have. But we know that, for example, the rapture, we’re going to be caught up to meet the Lord, and we’ll wind up being with the Lord forever. But we don’t have the power to just do it on our own. Christ did.
Am I getting it to you? Oh, yes. Oh, yes. And now what about in the book of Acts where it says it directly? Well it doesn’t say he went to hell. The King James says hell but it’s actually the Greek word is Hades. Yeah the Greek word is Hades and Hades is the hollow place in the heart of the earth where saved and lost went prior to the death and burial resurrection of Christ. But when Christ ascended he emptied out the Paradise part and so Paradise is no longer in the heart of the earth.
2 Corinthians 12-3 says it’s in heaven itself today. And prior to the cross, Paradise is in the heart of the earth, but the lost are still there. The lost will continue to go there until after the thousand year reign of Christ has ended and then they’ll all be brought up according to Revelation chapter 20 to be cast into hell. Right now, right in the same chapter where it says that it’s sound would not seek corruption and then hell would simply mean he wouldn’t waste away in hell.
He talked about his body right and so he came back in. Right. He would not seek corruption there but right down below in the same second chapter of Acts it says after Jesus Christ, all it just took place I believe after Jesus Christ ascended to heaven. They talked about Daniel or not Daniel but David. David which was God’s eye David was yes, and he said let me speak freely unto you about the person that David He has not ascended to the heavens Yeah, David had to wait in Hades until Christ came down there and took him out along with all the other Old Testament saints So David was in the heart of the earth when he died his body was placed in the grave and His soul went to the heart of the earth and there he awaited Christ death at Calvary and all the
Old Testament saints along with David were then taken out of the heart of the earth and paradise was Taking up to heaven right The way I was reading that and the way the I have studied and I have seen Jerusalem Twice I have been there. I have talked to many people over there I still do that understand their whole thing. I never will understand it because they will simply not most of not some do will not accept the Messiah or the Son of God in which I know from his own word that he is.
Well absolutely he is. I’ve been Israel 13 times and I’ve been to David’s tomb. He probably been there too in Mount Zion. Yes and the traditional site anyway. Who knows? I asked the rabbi there if he was inside there and he said they had looked but I tell you I have seen the so-called tomb that uh… but i’m sure you have to yeah i believe that the garden tomb is probably the the real one might in my personal opinion not the one that church of the whole is up with her right i think everybody had one face the one favorite that they got their own you know thought so no matter and which i told a friend of mine over it really doesn’t make a hill of a difference that’s right there the fact that he’s risen the way is what is significant not defining the exact
spot right you don’t have to do that and it was no emphasis put on that exactly that part of it i have talked to students it doesn’t matter if it was an artist if they made up a site was beautiful that’s great it gives them a something to hold on to but uh… the jewish people they are a lot more i thought you might like to know that i was over there last year and there is a lot more now accepting the fact that you just cried was the messiah he was the son of god and they’re going to have to go through him to get to the father even ably the blenders are starting to come off and there is a number of missy any groups in israel that are growing now and perely general saron who’s not the prime minister has given some credibility
because he’s visited some of those groups and apparently given somewhat of an endorsement where as they were well i looked on upon until i just rather recently you know uh… now we’re waiting now i have talked to several of the uh… ministers over there and they’re awaiting the same as we are for the temple to be built in Jerusalem, which we know is going to be built where any temporary or were it to be a permanent temple? I don’t know.
Yeahuscripts I’ve seen the sites of Solomon’s Old Temple where the Alachtsumon and the Domitorok, you’ve seen all of that yourself right now. And we’re waiting for that to take place in which I’m confident that it will take place. I think they will build that temple if the government would just turn them loose and let them build it. That’s right. Well, I agree with you on the same page with that. Gershine Solomon. He’s the head of the Temple Mount Faithful, a group that is trying to prepare the way to rebuild that third temple.
He’s attempted to lay a cornerstone on numerous occasions and sparked quite a bit of controversy that made headlines around the world. But we’re excited about it and believe that we’re getting close to the edge where we’re going to be leaving and the Jewish people will build their temple and Christ will come back to rule and reign on this earth. Jesus Christ is very close now. He’s coming back even though a lot of people won’t believe that. It doesn’t really matter whether they believe it.
He’s coming anyway. That’s right. And I have talked to many, many people out here on this road about Jesus Christ. I am trying to get the people prepared for His second coming. And I’ve had so many, well, believe it or not, I’ve had so many ministers say no. He is not coming. And I don’t know. It’s get plustrating. That is amazing, isn’t it? It is amazing how many people do not believe that some fall back and it’s more time I don’t know how many times it’s in the Bible about him coming back One dr.
Amarna han used to say that one the verse out of every three is in some way connected with the return of Jesus Christ back through the Earth the return of Jesus Christ and To get this point across and make them understand it So I just come to the conclusion that Jesus, not understand because they’re spiritually blind. That’s right. Not until they receive the Lord, do they really have their eyes opened up to the understanding of Scripture? They’ve had me many times, brother.
Can I get close to God? I said, there’s one simple way. I said, when you pray, I said, go by yourself somewhere in your car, open a desert place or in a closet. I said, talk to him direct. And I said, if you want to understand the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to come into yourCTV and teach him, get no answer. I said, from the mouth, not the heart. That’s right. And somehow another. If you want to know the truth, God, we’ll see.
It’ll get to you. He will give it to you. If you really earnestly want it. That’s the key right there. Well, Mark, I’m so glad you called. Glad you found us here while you’re in the area. And you’re going to be here long? Oh, yes. I’m going to be here for a couple of days. And some friends of mine, I met here at this truck stop. I’m just north of Tampa. Well, they’ve asked me to come down at one o’clock and speak to their, they holding the meeting down here close to the truck stop.
And I’m up down there at one o’clock and speak with them. All right. And then I’ve got, I’m going up to Jacksonville, Florida while I’m in this area. I’m going up there to speak before a group of people in the morning at nine o’clock. Well, anyway, God bless you Thanks for calling in today. I appreciate it. All right. That was Mark. First time caller apparently traveling through the area We hope that you’re learning with us as you listen to this question and answer segment featuring Dr.

Hank Lynchstrom. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 1 that’s 1,800,576,3771. Well, we’re going to go over to the book of Revelation for a few moments now, and we’re going to turn to chapter 3 in verse 5, which is a fascinating verse. Revelation chapter 3, verse 5. If you have your Bible there, you might want to turn. It says here, he that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white rainmen, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life.
But I will confess his name before my father and before his angels. What an incredible verse. But you know, you have to define the terms. It says here, he that overcometh. And guess what? This is where most people go wrong. And overcomer is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, one who has trusted Christ. as his Savior. Most people, and I have this wrong idea for many years myself, I thought an overcomer, that’s somebody not me, not me. That has to be a very special super Christian, somebody who’s really living the Christian life and is right on the cutting edge and up there in the top percentile of Christians that love the Lord and are serving Him and that has to be somebody else than me.
But guess what? Let’s go to the verse that defines this and it’s 1 John 5, 4. It says, for whatsoever is born of God, overcome of the world, and this is the victory that overcome of the world, even our faith. It’s saying here, if you’ve been born again, you’re an overcomer. If you’ve been born again, you’re an overcomer. And even better than that, is 1 John 5, 5, that says, who is he that overcome of the world? answer he the believer that Jesus is the Son of God.
If you believe or trust that Jesus Christ is the Son of God that he is your Savior, you are an overcomer by virtue of the fact that Christ overcame on our behalf death, the grave, Satan, the penalty for sin and death, Jesus Christ became the victor and he overcame the devil and overcame the grave and overcame the penalty for sin and death. And he did that on our behalf and so therefore we who our believers are overcomers. I can’t emphasize this enough.
Write it down. 1 John 5, 4 and 5, 1 John 5, 4 and 5, it says in verse 4, For whatsoever is born of God. Have you been born again if you have? Then you’re in this verse. It says, For whatsoever is born of God, overcome with the world. And this is the victory that overcometh the world. Even our faith, verse 5, Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeeth that Jesus is the Son of God.
This is something that happens at the moment you believe, and the moment you believe, you become saved and you become saved eternally. And so in Revelation 3, 5, when it talks about an overcomer, it’s talking about you and me, a believer, one who’s trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior. And it says three things here concerning us. It says in Revelation 3, 5, He did overcome us, the same shall be clothed in white raiment. That speaks about our robe of righteousness, the garment that we have as a saved person, that we are clothed with the righteousness of Christ.
And so the Bible describes that as a robe of salvation or a garment of salvation, and this white raiment is, I believe, speaks of the righteousness of Christ that we will have at the moment we trust Christ and forever thereafter. Let me give you a great cross-reference. This is back in Isaiah chapter 61. In Isaiah 61 it talks about this very robe of righteousness that believers have. This is one of my favorite verses. It says in verse…? 10 of Isaiah 61, I will greatly rejoice in the Lord.
My soul shall be joyful in my God, for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness. Wow! There you have it. And so the Bible tells us that the Lord Himself is the one that clothes us with the garments of salvation, the robe of righteousness. It’s pictured way back there in Genesis where we have, I believe, the salvation of Adam and Eve pictured for us in Genesis chapter 3. It says, Adam by faith called his wife Eve.
He named his own wife. We don’t get that privilege, do we? Obviously we can name our children, but we cannot name our wives. And here Adam actually chose the name for his wife Eve. And Eve means mother of all living. And here was Adam’s faith expressed in the promise that God had made in Genesis 3.15, that the woman would have seed and that seed of the woman would destroy or defeat Satan one day. Talks of the redemption of the human race through a Savior that would come through the seed of the woman, which is probably a veiled reference to the virgin birth because we find the seat is always passed on through the man but here talks about a woman having cede without a man.

Please make plans to join us and open your Bible as we also present in-depth studies covering a variety of biblical topics.
Now let’s return to our question and answer segment and then we’ll hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re going to go to Hudson, Florida. We’re going to talk to Lorraine. Welcome to Bible End. Dr. Lindstrom, we listen to all the wonderful TV programs about Jesus, a really good program. But when we see him, he always has long hair. And the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 11, 15 that long hair is a dishonor to man. You’re absolutely right.
I believe Christ had short hair. I don’t understand how they can really mess up so bad. There was an article that just came out. I’ve been teaching this for years, but it was, I think, in popular mechanics of all magazines where they did research as to what Christ really looked like. They all agreed in the magazine, all the scholars that he had short hair. The hairstyle of the time of Christ was set by the Romans. The Romans, if you see the statues, all had that short Caesar cut off the ears, off the neck, use a comb for short bangs on the forehead.
And if Christ was the only fellow with long hair, you might ask the question, why in the world did they have to pay Judas 30 pieces of silver to betray him? All they had to do is say to the soldiers, go out and find the first guy with long hair and you got him. But Jesus must have looked just like everybody else at the hairstyle of that time. I think it was all short hair. Okay. Thank you very much.
You’re really welcome. I think the TV programs got it wrong and Christ had short hair We don’t have a picture of Christ up in our building anywhere in our church because the Bible says you’re not to make any images and And we believe that that would include an image of Christ and so you won’t find one I guess the only image we might have is the a plane wouldn’t cross on the wall behind the pulpit in the sanctuary. But we have no other real symbols here, and we don’t believe that we need them.
And the Bible says we’re not to make any images, and so we don’t have them. But when they start making the images, they usually get them wrong. I’m sure Christ didn’t look like that picture that everybody sees. I believe Jesus had short hair, not long hair. And I believe that He wore the style of that time. Plus, He would not violate His word, his word where it says it’s a shame or dishonor for a man to have long hair.
So I think Christ clearly had short hair according to the Bible. That was the style of the Romans. Think about it for a minute. Forget the paintings and think of all the statues you may have seen of the Romans. They all had the short hair cut. If you were a man, you went into the barber shop in those days and the barber says, what kind of cut would you like? I’m sure the average man would say, give me that Caesar cut.
I want that Caesar cut. That was the popular cut. the cesar set the standard and uh… and that was a little uh… of short over the years off the neck comforged short bangs and uh… maybe it’s going to come back in style i don’t know we’re going to go to st peter’s but we have bruce on the line bruce welcome to bible and and i was just one or not maybe you can answer this for me uh… i’m curious as to why within uh…
evangelical christianity today uh… while we claim to be bible believers there is not a stronger emphasis placed on teaching regarding uh… not only ministry to the poor in the oppressed but advocating for them and advocating for social justice one need only read i’d say a fifty eight and most of i’d say uh… aim is in the minor profits not to mention james to first john matthew twenty five there’s really hundreds of verses in scripture to talk about ministry to the poor in the oppressed and and advocating for them and why so often the church decides to take jesus words and try to make it only a future event when the kingdom of god according to jesus was established when he came to this earth and uh…
that uh… matthew five to seven the sermon on the matter every bit is applicable today as they are in the future i agree with you i think what’s happened is that we’ve come to the end of this church age and the church has become like the latest in church of revelation that is descriptive of this time where It’s a self-sufficient church that seems to leave Christ outside of its fellowship. Christ is left outside, standing at the door of the church, knocking and saying, If any man will hear my…
He said, I would rather have you cold or hot but because you are lukewarm and you’ve missed the focus that I’ve given to you, I’m not very happy. So the Lord said he would rebuke that church. And obviously we owe that church, I think today we’re pretty much a lukewarm. Luke Warm church. I don’t see us really doing a bang up job here at the end of this age. And Christ is about ready to come back and cut it all short and take us out of here.
Well I think you’ve got a good point there. I appreciate that. Thank you Bruce. That was Bruce in St. Petersburg. The Bible is tomorrow’s newspaper today and we can get the latest news by reading our Bible. We know what’s going to happen. Kind of exciting, isn’t it? And we’re living in the last days. No doubt about it. We’ve got to go back to Iraq. Iraq. You know that’s where it all began? That’s right. That’s where ancient Babylon was. That’s where Abraham came from when he left the land of Ur to go to the Promised Land.
And we find that we’re headed right back to where it all began. You know God promised Israel the land that goes all the way from the Nile River all the way to the Euphrates River and everything in between. And so most all of them at least eventually will become Israel’s and has been promised to Israel. It says back in the book of Genesis the Lord the God of heaven have brought me out of my Father’s household. This is Isaac speaking now.
And my native land who spoke to me and promised me an oath saying to your offspring will I give this land. That’s right. So this land will be given to Israel and the promise began a long time ago. You know there are numerous theological positions today that deny the promises of God to Israel seem to deny these promises to Israel. What is in common with all these theological systems is that they alogorize all unfulfilled Bible prophecies and comadence, especially those that apply to the future of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
They say that these covenants were conditional and therefore canceled by Israel’s rejection of the Messiah Jesus. They teach that Israel has no more future in God’s plan and as a distinct people and a nation. They teach that the church inherited all these covenants and promises when Israel rejected their Messiah Jesus. In other words, they believe that the church has now become Israel in place of the literal physical descendants to whom the promises were made. This is called replacement theology and it seems to be gaining a foothold when it seems so obvious with the Jewish people today back in the state of Israel that this could not even happen because you could see that the promises are being fulfilled before our very eyes.
No doubt about it. The Jewish people being back in the state of Israel is one of the major in time prophecies that lets us know that we are in the last days. your eyes open, the Lord is coming back. And maybe, maybe the rapture is right around the corner. You know, whatever year it happens, we believe it’ll happen on the Feast of Trumpets. We spoke about that yesterday. As that feast day typifies, we believe the rapture. And since all the other feast days, at least the first four were fulfilled literally on the day.
The last three are still unfulfilled. It seems most reasonable that the last three will also be fulfilled literally on the day and the Feast of Trumpets we believe pictures the rapture and most likely the rapture will happen right on the day of the Feast of Trumpets. We may only have a little bit of time left and we’ll all be snatched out to be with the Lord. We’re going to the phone lines in St. Pete we’re gonna talk to Jose.
Jose welcome to Bible End. Yes got a quick question. All right. These days there’s a lot of focus on Israel, the nation and all the other nations around that area and what’s going on. As believers, should we focus on Israel, the people, or should we treat them like unbelievers of any nation in this world? You know, since God is fair across the board, throughout the whole world, should we just Basically look at them as lost and treat them as needing to be saved Equally as far as anyone in this you know world should be treated equally when it comes to us preaching the gospel to them Okay, I think it’s a good question, but you know you know I believe we have a special obligation to bring the gospel to Israel because they brought the gospel to us And I think we see that in a number of verses in
Romans 1 16 It says, I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for if the gospel is the power of God and the Salvation to the Jew first. And also to the Greek. So historically, obviously they got the gospel first as Jesus was a Jew. God who took on Jewish flesh. And all the first Christians were Jewish and they brought the gospel to us Gentiles. Now they’re in darkness. Now they’re in need of the Savior. And I believe we’d have a special obligation to try to carry the gospel back to them.
So obviously, Jewish people need to know Jesus as their Savior. Just like everyone else. You know, Jesus was God who took on Jewish flesh and He said, I am the one. way, the truth, the life, no man. And that includes the Jewish people. No man can come unto the Father but by me. So they need to know Christ. And my heart goes out to them, especially in their suffering right now. And I think that as believers, we know that Jesus is coming back and God has a future purpose for Israel.
A remnant will be saved during the tribulation period. And apparently the latest book just coming out now on the Left behind series is called the remnant which focuses on that group that will be a remnant out of the nation of Israel that will be believers, that will be the group that will become the nation of Israel during the millennium and be exalted above all the nations when Christ rules here on this earth. But truly, God so loved the world that includes all of us everywhere across the world.
There’s such a need to preach the gospel for people to become saved. And I think certainly our hearts have to go out at this moment when Israel is suffering such to touch our hearts, to bring the gospel to them. And if you know somebody who’s Jewish, you ought to share Christ with them. And there’s wonderful passages in your Old Testament to predict their Messiah’s coming. And you can use them to point out that this is not something that we invented, but rather we believe in their Messiah, who they missed when he came two thousand years ago in fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
Do you have a sheet or anything on the difference? Absolutely. We have a sheet that I’ve written called Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of all prophecy. You can download that off of the Internet, off my website, BibleLineMinistries.org, or you can write to me here at the church and give me a self-dressed ant envelope and I’ll mail it to you. Okay. Thank you very much. Thank you, Jose. All right. That was Jose in St. Petersburg. That wraps up today’s question and answer segment.

And here’s those little round cakes that they would use. You know when the Lord observed the Passover and instituted the Lord’s Supper, the Jewish people have the matzo, which is a rectangular piece of bread. This round idea comes from the pagan round cake that they made to worship the queen of heaven. They would weep for her because of her son, Tamu’s being either near death or died, and At the end of the 40 days of weeping and giving up, then when he supposedly rises from the dead, they worship that by the worshiping of the rising of the sun in the morning and they rejoice with Astoroth, the mother, which is the mother of Vail, who is a sex goddess and it’s a false system.
Isn’t that amazing that this could be so much? And by the way, Mary today is appearing all around the world and it’s interesting. She really isn’t, but I mean, but you know we know of the places like Fatima Portugal where our Lady of Fatima. What is interesting to me is why in the world would Mary appear at Fatima Portugal? Fatima is the name of one of Muhammad’s daughters. Why would she so honor Islam by visiting a city named after one of Muhammad’s daughters?
I think it’s because this system in the last days would actually have intercourse with all the world religions and have great power politically and religiously around the world. And this is one of the things that that has allowed to bring a friendship and a connection between Islam and Roman Catholicism. Also there and down in Mexico at Guadalupe, where they visit where supposedly the Virgin Mary appeared. People get on their knees and they crawl and they bloody their knees and they inflict pain upon themselves as a way of earning salvation as they go to see her.
And around the world there are these appearances. What you don’t read, unless you read more carefully, at Fatima and these other places, Jesus is there with Mary. But you don’t hear much about him because at Fatima he’s about a 12 year old boy standing next to her. But the message all came from her, not from him. And what did Mary say? The real Mary says, here my son! Don’t hear me. And yet it’s gotten so reversed that in this false system the woman is heard, and not the son.
And so the baby is always either cradled in the arms of the mother or as a young 12 year old, insignificant, has no real statement to make, but the woman is the one. In the book of Revelation we’ll come to chapter 17, and the religious system that is a corrupt system after the rapture during the tribulation is identified I think six times in that one chapter as the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out there’s only one religious system in the world that puts a woman at the top.
It’s certainly Islam. They’re at the bottom of the food chain. A woman is nothing in Islam, and as a woman here, I’m sure you would not want to be under Islamic rule because, wow, you’ve been reading and informed here lately what it would be like. Certainly not in Hinduism, not in Confucianism. There’s no religion in the world except the Roman Catholic Church where the woman is at the top, where Catholicism actually claims her as being the co-redemptress with Christ.
In a few years back, the pope was petitioned, according to Newsweek magazine, by 153 countries of Catholics, petitioning him to raise her to the level of deity so that we would no longer have the holy trinity, we would have the holy quartet. Really, literally. That’s what Newsweek said. And of course, he hasn’t done that, but effectively, she is there on the same level. She is able to receive your prayers and to be able to bring forgiveness for you and so on.
And so Catholics pray to Mary when this is totally wrong. But I think in the last days when we see the believers going at the rapture and the tribulation period begins, this religious system will have great power over the kings of the earth. And the Bible says that the nations will have been committing spiritual fornication with because they worship her and the other gods that she has. You know, back in ancient Rome, they had at least 5,000 gods. Each one had a different role to play that if you had a particular need, you would pray to.
When Christianity was wed with paganism, they changed the names of those Roman gods to saints. And now if you’re a Roman Catholic, I have an encyclopedist right down in the hall here that lists several hundred of them, and there’s the saint of dentistry. There’s a saint of carpentry, there’s a saint of travel, there’s a saint of healing, there’s a saint, whatever you have, whatever job you have, you can pray to your saint and your saint will protect you. And we had one of our people just come back from the Christmas holidays in the country of Panama and they say every city there has their own patron saint.
And there in that particular city he watched the celebration as they had this huge statue of this woman. It wasn’t Mary, but her name meant liberator. She was the liberator of that city. And they would follow her in these long procession, some crying and some wailing. And they all had candles. And they said, it takes several months for the wax to come off the streets of the city because so much candle wax is burned in the procession. And they march through the town and then they come back to the Catholic Church and they put this woman back to rest.
And every city in Panama has their own goddess in a sense that they pray to. And she is the one who protects that particular city and watches over it. And they pray to her and they celebrate her every year with this huge procession. And being from America and never having seen anything like that was just shocked that all these people are so caught up in following and crying to and praying to and weeping over and lighting all these candles to the extent that wax is on the city streets for months and months before it’s all over.
That’s what we have in Catholicism today. And around the world, Mary is, of course, the object, not Christ. And I think we’re seeing the end times unfold. And this system began way back there in Genesis. And what is interesting is now we’re back to Iraq, where it all began. Babylon was where that religious system began. It spread out with the confusion of the language is that the Tower of Babel and all the nations were founded. At the same time, God picks one man out of Iraq named Abraham and says, I’m going to make a nation of you that will be a testimony as to my word that will bring about the Messiah, bring about the Word of God, and be my witness into this world.
And so here we are now full circle back in Iraq, and I believe that is… The end times as the Bible describes it. But the Middle Eastern core countries are being taken over right now before our eyes, and the Bible in prophecy said that the West would take over those core countries, and the Antichrist would move his headquarters to Jerusalem to rule the Western world from in the middle of the tribulation period. We can already see the handwriting on the wall as we’re ready to move in and take over these countries that are the core countries of the Bible names, even some by name, and is happening before our very eyes.
So we’re watching Prophecy Take Place. By the way, when Catholics do this, that was a tea. They made that for ten moves, for thousands of years. When Constantine came along, they said, now this is the sign of the cross. They gave everything new meaning. I have pictures of myself standing beside a Greek temple built a thousand years before Christ was ever here. And you see a cross inscribed in that building, you think that was a Christian church? No, it was a pagan temple, worshiping Tamuz in Greece, a thousand years before Jesus ever came.
The cross wasn’t something new, but that was a symbol that was now said to be the cross of Christ. But it’s a pagan thing to do as Catholics do that, and it was really pagan and origin altogether. It had nothing to do with Christ but wed into Christianity. Well, let’s go over to the book Revelation 17 for just a moment. And then we’ll go back to this chapter. Then Revelation 17 describes the end-time church, and it says here that he sees this woman, and the woman, verse 5, has on her forehead a name-written mystery Babylon.
Now Babylon is where it got its origin, the worship of a mother and her son. And on the forehead of this woman is that inscription, mystery Babylon, the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. And we see this system here described as a woman as a great whore, verse 2, with whom the kings of the earth have committed what? Fornication. I don’t know of another church or religious system that receives ambassadors from every country of the world.

Through the seed of the woman, which is probably a veiled reference to the virgin birth, because we find the seed is always passed on through the man. But here talks about a woman having seed without a man. That’s probably the virgin birth and that this virgin born child, the Lord Jesus Christ, would be victorious over the devil. And Adam believed that. Then before Eve ever had the first child, he called her Eve the mother of all living, the mother of all living, because he believed the promise that she would have children.
And down through time, the Messiah would come. come, the seed of the woman, the Lord Jesus Christ who would defeat Satan. And as he is the overcomer, we become overcomers by trusting in what he accomplished for us at the cross. As a result, the very next verse in Genesis chapter 3 says that God clothed them with coats of skins of animals, that God clothed them. Well before that, you know what happened? Adam and Eve decided to cover themselves with fig leaves.
That’s right. Adam went out and got some big leaves and they put them on what God said, that doesn’t work. That doesn’t cover your sin. And so we notice here a picture of Christ. An innocent animal had to be slain. Christ was innocent, sinless and had to be slain for you and me. The blood of that animal had to be shed, Christ’s blood had to be shed at the cross to pay for our sins. And that the animal itself, its fur, its outer covering became the covering for Adam and Eve.
And And we find that God is the one who clothed them. They didn’t do a thing. It was their faith in the belief in the coming Savior that brought about their salvation. And the same thing in the picture is true of us. Jesus, being the innocent substitute, died for us. His blood was shed. His righteousness becomes our covering, and God is the one that closed us. Because when we trust Him, we are clothed by Him. Look at verse 5 of Revelation 3.
He that overcometh the same shall be what? clothed in white raiment God will put the cloth on you. It is his righteousness you’re seen in his righteousness the moment you believe. Secondly, Revelation 3.5, I will not blot out his name out of the book of life. Most people get this wrong. We’re always taught usually that your name is written down when you become a believer. That’s not true. Everybody’s name is in the book to begin with because God made provision for everyone to go to heaven.
There’s not a reason why anybody should go to hell. If they trust Christ the Savior, they’ll all be saved. But because man is given a choice and you can reject Christ as your Savior, there will be those who will not enter heaven. And if they die as an unbeliever, their name is stricken from the book at the moment of death. But as this verse promises, at the moment you believe, at the moment you trust Christ, God makes a promise to you and me as believers, I will not blot your name out of the book of life.
Wow. What is it saying here? My name will never be blotted out of the book of life. And if you’re a believer, your name will never come out of the book of life. What is it saying? You can’t be lost. It’s amazing how many people believe you could lose your salvation and they don’t realize how far they are from the truth of God’s Word. How far they are from what the Bible proclaims everywhere. It says right here, if you become a believer, which is what an overcomer is, 1 John 5, 4, 5, Who is he that overcometh?
The one that believes that Jesus Christ or trust that Christ is the Savior the Son of God. 1 John 5, 5. And if you’re a believer, your name will never come out of the book. It says it right here, Revelation 3, 5. He that overcometh God says here, I will not blot his name out of the book of life. Your name will never come out. My name is never going to come out. I’m going to heaven no matter what.
I’m saved forever. I can’t be lost because God has made a promise that not only has He given me the eternal life, never blunt my name out of the book. And then lastly, he says, thirdly, I will confess his name before my father and before his angels. Well guess what? The moment you become saved, there’s an announcement made in heaven that there’s going to be a new arrival, you, that you are now a child of God, a child of heaven, a child of the Lord Jesus Christ, a child of God, and you will enter heaven one day and they already know you’re coming at the moment You believe your name is mentioned confessed announced in heaven at the moment you believe Really good news.
