Now please open your Bible to the Book of Revelation chapter 11 and join us as we begin Dr. Lynchroom’s teaching for today. Daniel 12-8, Daniel says, I heard, I understood not. And then I said, oh my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

You know, can you imagine a person writing a book and didn’t understand a thing that he wrote yet as one of the greatest books in all the world? Has to be the God as the author, right? And look at what God says in verse 9. He says, Daniel, go your way. The words are closed up and sealed to the time of the end. Wow. Today this book has great significance. And the book of Revelation now helps us unfold and unlock many of the truths that are in it.

So if you are now with us in the second half of the book of Revelation, you’re going to see see how that we will learn and discover meanings that we did not know prior to the book of Revelation coming along. Look if you will, now in Revelation chapter 10 verse 11, and he said unto me, Thou must prophesy what? Again, before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. So basically as we’ve seen, this has been the kind of the plan in Revelation.

We sweep the tribulation, we come back, we sweep it again, and we look at what’s happening in heaven. happening on the earth as the way is prepared for Jesus Christ to come back and rule and reign on the planet earth. Now Christ is saying now that you have the open book, Daniel now opened, not sealed any longer. You’re going to go back and go over it again. This time more information will be added and we’ll be able to understand what Daniel wrote about the end times.

Chapter 11, there was given unto me a read like into a rod and the angel stood and said, measure the temple of God. Can’t be done right now. There is no temple in Israel, but a third temple will be built right after the rapture during the tribulation. So once this arrow here going up takes us out of the rapture, a temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem and obviously it’s in the news. Gersh on Solomon who may be the man who will build it and he’s the head of the temple mount faithful.

They’ve been preparing the stones now for years and years, the garments for the priesthood and making ready for a temple to be rebuilt. When the political situation allows for it to be built, they’ll start erecting it. He’s an Orthodox Jew. He doesn’t believe Christ has been here yet. Therefore, he’s unsaved. He’ll be left behind at the Rapture. But he might be the very man who’ll do it. The very man who might, after the Rapture, build the temple that the Bible here talks about in the book of Revelation.

Incredible, isn’t it? So it says here, he’s the measure of the temple of God and the altar and them that worship therein. So there will be temple worship. The temple will be rebuilt. And I believe verse one is a picture of what happens in the first three and a half years of the tribulation. Verse 2 is a summary of what happens in the second half of the tribulation. So this is a brief outline for you. In the margin, right, first half of tribulation, next to verse 1, second half of tribulation, next to verse 2.

Verse 2 says, the court that is without the temple leave out, measure it not for it is given unto what? The Gentiles and the holy city, that’s not Rome, it’s Jerusalem, shall lay tread under foot 40 and 2 months. How long is that? Three and a half years. The last three and a half years, Gentile powers will overrun Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. We know that in the middle of the tribulation period, the Antichrist will stop the sacrifices that will have been resumed.

Dead center in the middle, Daniel 927, since in the midst of the seven years, you’ll cause the sacrifices that will have been resumed to stop. He’s going to desecrate the temple and the Antichrist ruler from the West with his multi-national force will Trod down Jerusalem for the last three and a half years the Bible here is telling us what will happen Not only is the West moving in to take over the Middle East right now But they will wind up taking over all of what was ancient Assyria including the country of Israel The military, Israel will be taken over and Gentiles will overrun Jerusalem and the Temple Mount for the last 42 months of the seven years of tribulation.

Now in verse three, we’re now going to go back to the beginning of the tribulation period and it will fill in the spaces of what will happen when the temple is rebuilt. At the beginning of the tribulation, verse three, I will give power unto my two witnesses. I believe are two men that come back from the Old Testament, two Old Testament prophets. But there’s all kinds of spins put on this chapter and on the book of Revelation. So you have to be careful that you interpret the Bible in the light of the Bible itself.

A recent book somebody handed me said that two witnesses were the two towers that were destroyed in 9-11. There’s a lot of stuff out there that’s really nonsense. But by the way, did you know that the Madrid bombings happened exactly 911 days after 911? Is that by coincidence? A lot of people are saying they don’t do anything by coincidence. But 911 days after 911, the bombings went off in Madrid that killed those innocent people. Interesting. We’re living in a time when violence is beginning to cover the face of the earth.

And Jesus said it would be again as it was in days of Noah. If you read Genesis 6 and 11, it says, and the earth was filled with violence. And I think we see it, don’t we? A lot of things are happening that I think point to things that will really be manifest after the rapture. I think we’re getting close to the Lord taking us out. All right, so we have two witnesses. Old prophets say how long? A thousand 203 score days.

That’s exactly three and a half years. That’s exactly 42 months. And it says in verse four, these are two that are mentioned by Zachariah the prophet. They are the two olive trees, two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. We don’t have time to go to Zechariah. But Zechariah talks about these two witnesses and describes them as two olive trees and two candlesticks standing before Jesus, who is the God of this world who is coming back at the second coming at the end of the tribulation.

Verse 5, we’ll have supernatural powers. If any man will hurt them, I take this to be very literal, fire will proceed out of their mouth and devour their enemies. And if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. They’ll be pretty much invincible. Can you imagine? Anybody tries to hurt one of these two prophets? Fire just comes right out of their mouth and the vowels are enemies. I believe that is going to be literal and they’ll be pretty much invincible for the time of their ministry.

Verse 6, they’ll have the power to shut up heaven that it reign not in the days of their prophecy. Stop. What prophet did that in the Old Testament? It was Elijah. Elijah preached during the wicked days of a habit as wicked wife Jezebel. And he prayed that it didn’t reign. How long did it not reign during the prophecies of Elijah? We’ll turn a few more pages to the book of James. This will be if you have the Scofield Bible, chapter 5, page 1310.

James 1 and 2 Peter, 1 and 2 John, Jude Revelation. Backing up, Revelation, Jude 3 John, 2 John. John 2 Peter 1 Peter James. There you got it. If you’re going the other way it’s Genesis Exodus Leviticus numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, keep going, keep going, you’ll eventually get the James. Alright James chapter 5 page 1310 Verse 17, Elias, where are you? Elias or Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are. He’s a human being. And he prayed earnestly, verse 17 of James 5, that it might not rain, and it rained not on the earth by the space of how long?

Three years and what? Six months. That is exactly the length of time that he will minister again, And it will be that first half of the seven years tribulation period, three and a half years. So when Elijah comes back, apparently he will again pray and it will not reign on the earth for three and a half years during his time. Look if you will back in Revelation 11 verse 6, it says, and they’ll have power over the waters to turn them to blood and to smite the earth with all the plagues as often as they will.

What prophet did that? Moses. So I believe these two men are Moses and Elijah. They’re identified here by the things that they did in the Old Testament. They’ll come back. Moses and Elijah will come back. The amount of transfiguration in Matthew 17, we have Christ transfigured. We get to see him as he will be in a second coming. Who’s standing with Christ on the amount of transfiguration? Moses and Elijah. We could go through more prophecies or more verses, but Moses and Elijah turn out to be these two men who will come back.

Remember, the tribulation period are really the last seven years of the Old Testament that still have to tick off the clock. Daniel is in incredible prophecy in chapter 9, so when Christ was rejected and went to the cross, God’s clock stopped ticking. And for 2000 years, God has turned to the Gentiles and the clock has been on hold. But once the rapture happens, we go back on God’s plan for Israel and the last seven years we’ll tick off the clock and we’ll be back on Jewish territory.

The Jews will be the center theme. Look at the focus going to the Middle East and to Jerusalem and to the Temple Mount. Look at the fact that Israel is in the center of all the controversy over there in the Middle East. Thank you for joining us. You are listening to Bibleline with your host, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, we have right now another caller. We have Harold and he is in Daytona Beach and Harold, welcome to Bibleline. How are you doing Mr. Lindstrom? Good. question i believe you were saying that uh… you can’t uh…

lose your salvation is this true is this what you were saying that is exactly right okay so with once they’ve always say that is exactly right okay uh… the question i have for you with if you were saved if you received christ in your heart and you’re walking in his way and you just uh… you just turn totally the opposite way and you just start uh… doing your own thing and everything. And say you’re out in a car and you have a car wreck and you die.

What do you believe happens to your soul at that time? You go to heaven. Now there are two other things that happen. Now once you become born again, God becomes your father and you become his son or daughter. And if you’re going to be delinquent, God is going to spank you. Hebrews chapter 12 says, for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines and scourges every son whom he receives into his family. He says in verse eight of Hebrews 12, if you be without God’s discipline, where of all his sons are partakers, then it says you’re a bastard and not a son.

In other words, you’re claiming to be a Christian, you’re not truly born again. If you’re a child of God, God is not gonna let you live as you please. He might even take you home to have an early. And also you’re gonna stand accountable as far as rewards are concerned, as we spoke about earlier about that in James, that you’re going to give an account. And if you haven’t lived for Christ, you’ll be embarrassed and you’ll be experiencing regret over the fact that you didn’t while you were on the earth, hold to the responsibility you have as a believer to live for Christ.

So you don’t get away with it, but you still are saved. Christ said in John 637, this is a great verse herald you might want to make note of. Jesus said, him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out me. That means for no reason. Would he ever cast you out? Whatever that might be. Then in verse 39, even better, he says, this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all of which hath given me, I should lose none, not one, but raise them all up against the last day.

So if one person were ever lost, Jesus would be a liar. In other words, we’re not kept eternally by what we do. If we were to keep our own salvation, we’d probably lose it. But Christ keeps us safe. saved. And when we’re delinquent he’ll discipline us and when we’re obedient he’ll bless us. But we can’t get away with living as a believer, but definitely God will interfere if we are going to be delinquent. Yes, sir. Could you explain, I’m trying to take a much more in your time, can you explain the scripture where it says once you have tasted the heavenly gift to turn away from it is to put Christ to an open shame and to put him back on the cross.

I think it’s in Hebrews chapter 6. Hebrews chapter 6 verses 4 through 6 is talking about the believer once he’s saved, if he gets away from serving the Lord and maybe falls from his steadfastness or his confidence or his assurance, he can’t go back and become saved again. Ever says it’s impossible for those that are once enlightened and tasted and have a gift and so on to be renewed under repentance. That’s the change of mind that occurs when a person gets saved.

So they can’t go back and become saved again. And if they They try to, they’re putting Christ in open shame because they’re crucifying them all over again to themselves. And what the chapter goes on to continue to say what you need to do is get back serving the Lord again and recognize that God is going to reward you for everything you’ve done for Him and get back on track and live for Christ. But the Hebrew believers in particular were used to that yearly sacrifice and were thinking maybe I have to go back and become saved again.

And Hebrews is saying it’s impossible to go back and be kept saved again because you’re save forever when you do become saved and to try to become saved again is to crucify Christ again to yourself and it’s blasphemous really because Christ will never die again. The one time sacrifice of Christ was sufficient to save you forever. Yes sir. Thank you very much. Well you’re very welcome and keep listening up there in Daytona. I will. You have a nice day.

Alright, that was Daytona Beach, truck driver driving down the highway as we speak and we’re glad to have Harold call in. Greg welcome to Bibleline you are on the air Thanks, doctor. Um, good question. Have you done a serious yet? I’m a good Matthew It’s been a while So that is something that we could do again because it’s been years and years since I taught the book of Matthew in a series Are you giving me a suggestion for this fall?

No, no, but it would be a good suggestion I would I do believe we do have Matthew on CD though if you want to get get it when I taught it a number of years ago mister six or eight years carol i’ll have to do that because it’s like most of the difficult questions that people have from the gospels come up with a map here and i’ve got a question for you regarding that uh… map each other twenty five i understand the parable but the ten virgins uh…

school filled gives a real good you know uh… explanation that he gives explanation for the other two uh… you know he talks about the judgment of jenn time nation or or i guess where it says uh… lord return have for gentile nations and also the lord or lord’s return to test the servants apparently the servants of the uh… five pounds to tell the one-town i i was thought i understood but that that but the more i read the lesson and because it sounds like this guy the one talent is would be a christian because he’s a servant but then you look at the uh…

last verse down there in verse thirty and says he’s cast matter darkness and then and then i think about the gentile nation it sounds like that these people are going uh… into hell because of what they did and did not do and that’s kind of way david germain explain he said that uh… that well they did not justify by the works but just as evidence of the fact they’re really christian but i that doesn’t seem to be compatible to gospels okay well you’re a got some good questions they’re actually in the uh…

parable the talents there there are three different guys one is given five talents and one is given I think two and the last one is given one and the last one though is described as wicked and whenever you see the word wicked in the Bible it’s referring to somebody who’s an unbeliever because their best righteous deeds are filthy rags and are considered wickedness and God’s sight but the other two are called good you might notice. Now the Bible says in Romans 3, 12 there’s none that doeth good no not one.

So how can anybody be called good? Well, the answer is if they trust Christ, the goodness or righteousness of God is credited to their account and they’re seen by God as being good. But unless you trust Christ, you’re considered to be wicked. So the first two are saved and the last one is lost and that’s why it’s his guest in Not or Darkness. You’ll also notice there’s something else that says the first one he says, the good and faithful servant.

He was not only saved as he’s called good. Also, Matthew 19, Christ said to the rich young ruler, why did you call me good? There’s none good but one and that is God. So obviously this man didn’t realize that only God is good. Everybody else is wicked, but once you trust Christ, you’re considered good. But then notice he was also faithful. Well, he was allowed to enter into heaven because he was good, but then he says he would be made ruler over many things, and that was a reward for being faithful.

So there are two doctrines going on there, the doctrine of salvation, which salvation is by faith, and a person is declared righteous or good when they trust Christ based upon his substitution or death of the cross. But then when you’re faithful, then you’re rewarded for that faithfulness, and so they are able to enter heaven because they were good or saved, or believers, and then they were rewarded for their faithfulness. But the last guy was wicked, that means he’s an unbeliever, standing before God in his own righteousness, which is wickedness.

And also he was slothful. There are degrees of punishment in hell. And so this guy not only is cast in hell, but there’s a degree of punishment waiting for him because he was slothful on top of it. Oh, that’s a little eye opener. Well, that is deep. So I’m just taking a pun of that. And of course, my parable set covers those very well, and you might want to get that CD set on the parables where I cover all those.

And also the judgment of the nations, you’ll notice right up front he divides the sheep from the goats. The sheep are the saved the believers, the goats are the unbelievers. For a goat to become a believer or to become a sheep there has to be a new birth. And so obviously for a goat to be a sheep they have to believe on Christ which they didn’t. But sheep have certain characteristics, goats have certain characteristics and the sheep by nature, and especially I believe what is talking about there is during the tribulation period the ones who become believers become believers because of the 144,000 in their witness and the third group in that passage is talking about Christ’s brethren which are the Jewish witnesses the 144,000 that will witness during the tribulation period and so the ones that get saved through them will have compassion for them and visit them in prison and give them clothing and give them

them food and help them because they are appreciative for them bringing the gospel to them. But the goats who are lost and are totally indifferent to those Jewish witnesses during the tribulation did not care whether they rotted or died in prison and did not go and provide food or clothing or visit them. And so it was basically again the believers were appreciative and the unbelievers didn’t care at all about these one hundred forty thousand. So you’ll notice is quite clear.

It says in as much as you did it under them, my brother, and that’s his Jewish brother in 144,000 that will be witnessing during the tribulation you did it under me. So the believers really were compassionate upon 144,000 as they’re all going to be persecuted and they will all be martyred. And the believers, the sheep will have compassion on them, but the unbelievers won’t. But they didn’t have compassion and by that be saved because they were sheep because they were saved through the witness of the 144,000.

They had compassion and they cared for them, but the loss didn’t care at all and probably were glad to get rid of them. Wow. That’s great. I mean, that’s a huge relief in the big eye opener. I’m going to have to get that series. You have a Matthew. I’m going to try to get there. Are you store open on Saturday? Sometimes Saturday morning call before you come just to make sure. Okay. like this Saturday, it probably won’t be because I have a wedding that I won’t be here.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m going to talk a little bit about the phrase be converted because you know a lot of the terms that we use are actually misleading to the Hero and are often not used in the way the Bible intended them to be used. What does it mean to be converted? Well, I believe that there has been a great deal of confusion centered around the term conversion. I know some of angels say you must be converted. And then they define it as you have to change.

And what they’re saying is that you have to change your life in order to be saved, which is works, which is really contrary to the scripture. And we know much of this confusion is really serving Satan’s purpose as we find in 2 Corinthians 4, 4, that Satan is the God of this world and he blinds the minds of those which believe not, lest the light of the Gores gospel of the Christ who is the image of God through China to them.

Satan delights when bad terms or bad use of terminology is used. The Amrhetor had it right when he says, What can wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood of Jesus could wash away my sin or yours. Human effort, human conduct cannot contribute to our salvation at all. Faith alone in the shed blood of Jesus Christ determines one’s eternal destiny. is not based upon a person’s behavior, not based upon a person’s conduct, not based upon a person’s works.

The Bible is quilt clear in Romans 4, 5. Look it up. One of the great verses in the book of Romans, chapter 4 verse 5 says, but to him that worketh not but believeth on him that justify then, Godly that’s Jesus, his faith in Christ or Jesus is counted for righteousness. Yet there are those who would sing the words to a great hymn like the one we just mentioned, what can wash away by sin and the answer being nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ.

And they’ll sing that hymn at the same time, contradict these words by having a faulty view of the doctrine of conversion. They would say something like nothing but the blood of Jesus can wash away by sin. But you must change the way you’re living if you’re going to go to heaven, you must be converted. You must change. Unwittingly, perhaps a Christian would therefore be teaching human works for salvation, contradicting the clear scriptures that salvation is not of works. But as many men should boast Ephesians 2-9.

Salvation is not dependent upon what we have done or what we will do, nor is it dependent upon future or our past, it is dependent upon what Jesus Christ has accomplished or has done for us on the cross of Calvary. The Bible is clear that those who believe or trust on Christ are saved and are not condemned and will go to heaven. And those that do not believe on Christ are lost, condemned and are headed for hell. And of course, if they trust Christ before they die, they will be able to enter heaven.

Well, what about conversion? When does conversion take place? Be converted. What does that mean? And when does it really take place? Well, guess what? The Apostle Peter was not converted until three years after he was saved. You heard that right. Peter didn’t get converted until three years after he was saved. After Peter the Apostle had already been saved for three years, he was then converted. Are you shocked by this? Well, what does this do to the meaning of the phrase be converted?

Shall we tell only saved persons to be converted? And then what does it mean? Why should a saved person need to be converted? Well, let’s take a look. First let’s look at Peter’s conversion. Peter’s salvation in contrast occurred after the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. We have Andrew getting saved first and he leads his brother Peter to Christ. the gospel of John says in chapter 1, Andrew, about Andrew, he first findeth his own brother Simon and says to Peter, we have found the Messiah, which is being interpreted to Christ, that he brought him to Jesus.

That’s how Peter got saved. Peter’s conversion is mentioned after the Lord of Institute, the Lord’s Supper, and just before Christ enters into the garden of Gethsemane, the night of the betrayal as Christ has betrayed that very night, And the next day he goes to the cross. Look at Luke 22 32. Here Jesus says the night of the betrayal I have prayed for thee Peter, that thy faith fail not, and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Wow! Actually Peter became converted after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Now let’s return to our question and answer segment, and then we’ll hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. And now we have David in St. Petersburg, and David, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I wanna remind those people that keep pushing this. They’re so deluded with this tongue’s business, no matter how many times you tell them in quote on scripture like one guy would go will show me in the Bible where it is and you tell them for the 15th time this is like they don’t want some of them don’t want to get it deliberately on a subconscious level because their leader like for instance that’s the reason i called you you put yourself out there on the line

on the radio if you went to their church and a lot of these churches that are called the baptist and methodist they’re just really kind of cost of churches because if you go in there you see what you’re saying just like pat robinson you won’t be able won’t let you say what you have to say on his show you won’t be you’ll just be demonized and told to leave if you did now that made you get it out once but you can’t sit there say something like hank hank rasp book like a he’s been a costal he put the history of hank costalism in his book and and and and param himself was a racist who started his user street who started to see more who started his is a street in and all the stuff that was a street was not the select a side show with all the

demons and and witchcraft and one on their they won’t see they won’t give you the fact of his history in the guy that wrote put the fact in his book is a believer in pentecostalism he just doesn’t connect the dot he put them on the book he just doesn’t connect them i heard you push that book before and when he’s people call you they just don’t want they just they’re so into the ego and all that that proves to them on a subconscious level how spiritually are when they speak in tongues and all that.

It’s just it’s a high for the machinis people and they’re just there’s no better Christians than anybody else because of that. They may be better for other reasons but not because of that. Well you’re absolutely right and it gives them an emotional high for sure. In fact back in the days of the hippies a lot of the hippies began to use that expression. I used to get high on drugs but now I get high on Jesus and And they were talking about the emotional high that they got from this gibberish that was equivalent to what they were getting with their drug.

That was a big popular expression years ago. And they do get emotionally high. There’s no doubt about that they enjoy it. Remember when they called or called a few minutes ago that Jesus never prayed in tongues? Yeah. Well, they would say to that that, well, he’d probably pray, whenever they see pray in the spirit to them, that means tongue. Oh, I know it. I know. answer that and all it and I’ll counter their alleged I’ll counter that with this if tongues is so important though Jesus never spoken it if you want to say he did through praying in the spirit that’s what they would say I’d say this how come Jesus never once said for anybody to pray in tongues now you may have said pray in the spirit I don’t know if he said that or not so that’s the route even though that’s not an an intelligent one because the

Bible says tongues it it mentions tongues in the Bible and it doesn’t mention praying spirit that are the same so jesus never actually said what it be a better christian praying tongues i mean you think it said it once so i got a long list of things i wrote a long time ago how nutty it makes jesus god look i mean i thought i was a church down the street guy told me a pastor he fell off a ladder he was protected because he baptized only spirit like anybody else that was a christian fell off that ladder be you know a room hospital sure i mean i’ve heard so much nutty stuff on this stuff it makes god in jesus well the same thing but it makes god look so really hard to make the bible of so nutty that people just got this merit

budget tongues you know just doesn’t make it look like a boy scout thing you know i think they’re married and they pick and they choose david because like in uh… the mark sixteen seventeen eighteen passage they don’t choose the deadly snakes they don’t choose drinking the deadly drink They just picked the one that they want and that seems to be tongues but all five have ceased and I believe all five could have been had by anyone at the same time and I don’t see anybody choosing those other ones.

I’ve said, well, why don’t you try the arsenic cocktail and nobody wants to do that and they don’t want to try the deadly cobra or the rattlesnake because they know that they’re going to get hurt. So exactly. If you say what you’re saying. and they’ll think you’re the deadly cobra that i know they’re church though you know they’ll see horns coming out of your head out of the baptist church and i said hey i you know i got this history about this uh…

was a street the start advice or african-american which is bray’s lord i mean i’m not against the fact that he was african-american but the thing is is i got this history from a guy who believes in the pentecost movement he just put the dot in the book but he had to learn it through through a white guy that was a clan supporter in a classroom and he had to sit outside because he wasn’t good, he was wrong color, he couldn’t get inside.

So how can you learn a spiritual gift from a racist clan supporter and then go after getting that quote unquote spiritual gift and taking it to Azusa Street where he had all kinds of evil stuff going on there. See if the Pentecostal 100th anniversary comes along, if they don’t tell you the whole story and that’s the story there, I’m not giving you the whole story but I’m giving you some of the bad stuff, they’re not telling you the whole story and I’m suspicious.

they have the courage of their convictions like pat robin’s of their courage of the victims but here at all let’s hear all those all about a loser street not just the sanitize version you’re absolutely right david thank you thank you all right that was david the uh… movement today is uh… not biblical if it were then they should be doing what the bible says would be done that is to evangelize the lost in the language that they’re born and raised with and the person hearing should be able to hear in that language that they know and have been raised with.

But that’s not what’s happening. Nobody is evangelizing anybody in the gift of tongues today because today’s gift is a gibberish nobody understands. Debbie is calling in from Chesterfield, Virginia and Debbie, welcome to Bible In. Hi, this is my first time calling and I appreciate your program and I’d like your comment on Revelation 2 11 a Bible teacher online mentioned that he believes that there is a special blessing for mature believers that God chose and he turned he passed Your families he knew who would respond to the gospel and placed those souls in individuals together as a family Well, that’s a that’s a big stretch to get that out of Revelation 2 11 Revelation 2 11 it says he that has a near talking about spiritual hearing Let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

And then it says, he did overcome it. Now, this is what needs to be defined. And if you go to 1 John 5, 4, and 5, it says, for whatsoever is born of God, overcome with the world. And this is the victory that overcome with the world, even our faith. And then verse 5 is even better. It says, who is he that overcome with the world? Answer, he that believeth it Jesus Christ is the Son of God. So every believer is one of these that are mentioned here, and it says the one who is a believer that overcometh shall not be heard of the second death, which simply means you’ll never be cast into hell.

In Revelation 20 verse 14, to be cast into the everlasting lake of fire is defined in Revelation 20 verse 14 as being the second death. So it’s really saying here, if you’re a believer, and again, who is he that overcometh the world the answer is if you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God if you’re born again then you are an overcomer and it’s basically saying you’ll never go to hell. You’re stuck. See most people mis-defying that overcome a thing and they really imply works because they say that it’s because you are special or in fact for quite a while as a young believer myself I thought well I’m certainly not a net group because that’s a special Christian who’s really dynamic and living for Christ and it’s not to find that way at all in the Bible.

Every believer is an overcomer by virtue of the fact that Christ overcame on our behalf. He overcame death. He overcame the penalty of sin. He overcame the grave and he’s alive forevermore. And when we trust him, we become by virtue what he did on our behalf, overcomers. Okay, thank you so much. I appreciate that. You’re welcome, Debbie. That’s It’s 1 John 5, 4 and 5. That you ought to write down someplace because the definition of an overcomer is a believer and every believer has this promise count for them that they will never ever go to hell.

We have John now in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. John, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Hank. Good morning. Good morning. I have a couple of questions if you have the time to answer them. I was reading the article about Noah’s Ark, finding that interesting, waiting for a lot more news on it. But what would have been the… What would… What would… What would… What would… What would have had a purpose with the dinosaurs? I mean, they were so long before…

I… I blew they were so long before the Ark and… Isn’t their evidence of… of possibly two worlds to earth? Well, I believe so. I believe verse one tells us of the original creation. And according to Isaiah 45, 18, which is a reference show to write down, when it talks about that original creation, it says that God created the earth perfect and inhabited. So, and in fact, it says he did not create it vain. The word vain there is the same word translated void in Genesis one, two.

So apparently he did not create it void. It became void as a result of the judgment of Lucifer and the angels that followed him in an attempted overthrow of heaven. So the earth was judged, life was destroyed, and then we find it says in Genesis 1-2, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. That word moved and the Hebrew means to incubate or to brood upon the same of a mother hen or a bird sitting on the nest keeping the eggs warm and hatching them out.

of the Lord warmed up the earth, maybe thawed it out from a possible ice age, and in seven days made the earth inhabitable again, this time putting man on the planet. So I believe that definitely the Bible teaches that, and there are many more references than that. In fact, I have a CD that is very popular that goes through all those references that the Bible clearly, I think, teaches an original earth that was destroyed, and then God made the earth inhabitable again.

Yeah, they in the Bible it mentions about large animals and I think something in Job mentions I mean dinosaurs didn’t exist or in those days. No, I know I don’t believe that those are dinosaurs I think is most Bible commentators right up until Lately here where a couple of people are trying to say they’re dinosaurs have identified them as elephants or other large animals That we still have around today That wraps up today’s question and answer segment. As believers in Jesus, there is no other topic that is more important to us than the gospel of Jesus Christ, and it was Dr.

Hank Lindstrom. The Jews will be the center thing. Look at the focus going to the Middle East and to Jerusalem and to the Temple Mount. Look at the fact that Israel is in the center of all the controversy over there in the Middle East. And the fact that once we get into the tribulation period, the Jews will be the witnesses again. Two Old Testament prophets will come back. Sacrifices will be built in a third temple that will be rebuilt and it will be Jewish, Jewish, Jewish.

And so we’re ready to leave as a Gentile group, the church, the body of Christ will be taken out of the rapture, and then the last seven years of the Old Testament tick off the clock. That’s where it’s going. All right, so now we have them. Verse 7, and when they have finished their testimony, the beast that’s the antichrist that ascended out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them and shall overcome them and kill them. So the antichrist will rise to power, come into the Middle East, come into Jerusalem, he’ll kill the two prophets.

And notice verse 8, their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. What city is that? It is Jerusalem, where Christ was crucified. Verse 9, are you ready? Never before in history could this have happened till now? Look at what it says will happen. They of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half and not allow their dead bodies to be put in the grace.

Never before now could that happen. People around the world, I believe, on their big screen TVs will actually see live pictures of their dead bodies. When the two sons of Saddam Hussein were killed, we all around the world saw pictures other dead bodies, didn’t we? And I thought to myself, wow, two evil men have been taken out. The world is able to see the pictures of these two evil men dead in their living rooms around the world. When the two good men, the two prophets of God that come back die, their bodies will lie on the streets of Jerusalem, and the cameras will be focused on them and around the world because of satellite people in their living rooms, around the world of all the nations and peoples and kidders and tongues will be able to see their dead bodies laying there in the streets.

You know, amazing. We’re living in a time in history where never before could this have happened. Doesn’t that impact you? I mean, today we see live pictures and we expect them, don’t we? You watch a news program now and if you don’t get a live picture, you’re disappointed. You’re saying, what’s with them? You know, how come they don’t have live pictures? We saw live pictures from the war, from off of the hummers and the different vehicles of the troops.

And we saw the guns flashing and the night vision goggles and all the things happening right there as it happened live. We expect it today and here it’s going to happen. And look at what it says here. They that develop on the earth shall rejoice over them and make Mary and shall give gifts one to another. There’s going to be parties around the world. People are going to get drunk and they’re going to be giving gifts and they’re going to celebrate and they’re going to say, man, we’re glad these two guys are dead.

And we don’t want them to be buried. We want to see their images on our TV set and they’re in their homes and their party and getting drunk and giving gifts and celebrating the fact that these two men are dead. Why do they celebrate? Look at the Universe 10 because because because it says in verse 10, these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. People did not like the fact that they shut off the rain, that they turned the waters to blood, that they smoked the earth with plagues.

And they said, good riddance, and people are celebrating and partying and getting drunk and looking at their screens on the TV. Look at verse 11, I love this. And after three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them and they stood upon their feet. Oh, my goodness, here they come up and stand up and great fear fell upon all of them, which saw them. Can you imagine around the world people drunk and looking at the TV set and saying to their friend, do you see what I see?

As they look at these two men standing up upon their feet, they’ve come back from the dead, and then it says, no, it’s the Merced Wall, and they heard a great voice from heaven saying them to them, come up hither, and they ascended up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies what? Beheld them. There’s the CNN cameras catching them as they go up slowly, and following them as they ascend up into heaven. Apparently, it’s a slow ascension here as they are seen by people around the world, and great fear comes upon them because these two men come back from the dead.

Wow. Interesting stuff, but again, notice the Bible is ahead of itself. It talks about something that could not have happened without the technology of today. How could it happen? It couldn’t be seen by people around the world simultaneously except for today. It can be. Between verse 12 and 13, there is a gap of time because verse 13 jumps us to the end of the tribulation. Verses 3 through 12 take us right up to the middle of the tribulation and is a description of what happens in the time period outlined by verse 1.

Then we have verse 2 which talks about the Gentiles trotting down Jerusalem and at the end of that time verse 13 tells us about a great earthquake that will take place at the time of Armageddon. We’ll show you why we get to that in just a moment but it says in verse 13, and the same hour there was a great earthquake in the 10th part of the city of Lake Jerusalem fell and in the earthquake we’re slaying of men 7,000 and the remnant were affrighted and gave glory to the God of heaven.

And notice what it says here. The second wo is past. What is the second wo? The second wo is the sixth trumpet judgment. Remember we said there are three wo’s. Wo wo wo wo. This is not W-H-O-A but it’s W-O-E which means judgment. And the last three trumpet judgments are equivalent to the three woes. So trumpet number five is woe number one. Trumpet number six is woe number two. And trumpet number seven is woe number three. And number two woe is past.

That means the sixth trumpet is sound and Armageddon is over. Now it’s the time for Christ to come back. That’s what happens in verse 13, the return of Christ at the end of the tribulation period. And now the third woe cometh quickly. What is the third woe? The actual second coming we had in verse 15 and this is the return of Christ. The seventh angel sounded and there were great voices in heaven saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ and He shall reign for ever and ever and ever.

Here is what Handel put to music. This is what happens at the end of the seven years. The seventh trumpet is the second coming and Christ comes back and what? Takes away this world from Satan. Satan is the God of this world, second Corinthians 4, 4. And when Christ comes back, he’ll take away this world from Satan and he’ll rule and the kingdoms of this world become his and he rules over the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, that’s the stay of the Lord, a time of peace on earth, good will toward men.

So the kingdom of this world now are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ. That transition occurs at the Second Coming, and Satan now is finally defeated, and Christ takes away this world from Satan. That’s what the tribulation appears about. It’s how the way is prepared on the earth and in heaven for Christ to come back and take away the earth from Satan. Verse 16, the 420 elders which sat before God on their seats or thrones fell on their faces of worship God saying, we give thee thanks, O Lord God almighty, which art and which wast and art to come, because thou hast taken to thee thy great power and has what reign.

So here they praise God for now taking what is rightfully his, taking away the earth from Satan and now Christ will be sitting upon the throne ruling over the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. How do the nations on the earth respond? The nations were what? Angry. And it says thy wrath has come. This is when Christ destroys all unbelievers. And only those that become believers during the tribulation period will enter into that thousand years. And it’s also a time of the resurrection when Christ comes back.

The time of the dead that they should be judged and thou shouldest give reward, and I serve at the prophets. The prophets of course are the writers of the Old Testament. So it’s a reference for the Old Testament saints and the last of the seven years of the tribulation saints, the seven years that still have to happen, the tribulation period, all of these people that have died or that are saved will get the resurrection bodies at the end of the seven years.

Now I get my resurrection body at the Rapture. And so we in this age from Pentecost to the Rapture get our resurrection body seven years ahead of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and so on. So the Old Testament saints have to wait seven years after us to get their resurrection bodies. The last shall be first, the first shall be last. We are last and yet will be first in the resurrection. Although we came after the Old Testament and we’re the last here, we become first in the resurrection because we’re a special group and at the rapture we get our resurrection bodies and our rewards.

But the Old Testament saints will be rewarded at this time. Thanks for listening to Bible Eye with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Here Jesus says, the night of the betrayal, I have prayed for the Peter that thy faith failed not. And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Wow. Actually Peter became converted after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Peter’s conversion after the resurrection of Jesus Christ had to do with Peter’s Christian life and not his salvation. And at least three years had passed since Peter had trusted him.

Christ as his Savior with his brother Andrew leading him to Christ. Peter later testified that the way we live our lives has nothing to do with our salvation. In 1 Peter 1 18 and 19 we find that Peter says you must know or recognize that you were redeemed, that is ransomed, from the useless, fruitless way of your living your life inherited from your forefathers, not with corruptible things that just over and gold, but you were purchased or redeemed with the precious blood of Christ the Messiah.

Like that of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Well we know that the phrase be converted is occasionally used of salvation but very seldom. And when it is, it is defined as it is in Matthew 18 to become like a little child. You have to be converted in that way. What do we know about little children? totally dependent upon their parents for their survival. And in order to be saved, you have to be totally dependent upon God to save you through Christ’s death and shed blood and not rely on anything of yourself.

It’s amazing how little children cannot survive without their moms and dads. And we cannot be saved without our Heavenly Father providing the salvation that He provides through faith in Christ. When somebody asks me, Hank, when were you converted, I usually say, about a year after I got saved, usually I see a facial expression that tells me they have never heard anything like that before. And so I tell them, yeah, I got saved. And then about a year later, I got converted.

I didn’t dedicate my life to serve the Lord and my life didn’t really change until I made that second decision to become a servant of Christ, to become a disciple of Christ, to serve the Lord. The night I trusted Christ, I had been so turned off by the church that I had been raised in, that I heard the gospel message of salvation free. And I remember saying to God, I’ll take you up on your free gift, but I will never serve you.

Well, little did I realize that when you get saved, God, the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in your body, and God began to work on me as the Bible says that God becomes your Father and He will discipline His sons and daughters and He receives into His family by the new birth, and God began to work on me. And over that next year, God brought me to my knees. And in my dorm room at the University of Florida, all by myself, I got to my knees and I dedicated my life to Christ.

And I said, Lord, I will serve you from this day forward. And I have ever since that day. And the Lord followed me up. Nobody even knew I was saved. I was a secret believer for over a year. And once I made that second decision, I was converted. But I was not converted when I got saved. When I got saved, I was a child of God, and I was delivered from the penalty of sin and death and assured of going to heaven and that I had eternal life.

But not until a year later that I experienced God working in my life and his blessings and the joy that comes by living for Christ. So are you converted? Well, if you haven’t decided to become a disciple and let your life be transformed to be used of God as a servant of Christ, then you’re not converted even though you might be saved. You’re saved by trusting in what Christ did for you, but conversion has to do with your showing God how grateful you are by living your life for Him, not to be saved, but because you are.

So I was saved and then a year later I became converted. And with many people, I think they never get converted. They get saved, but they don’t get converted. And for a lot of people that presents a confusion, because evangelists use conversion to mean you must change your life to be saved, which is complete the contrary to the scripture. And wrong. I’m Dr. Englundster. This is Bible and keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we believe He’s coming soon.
